Font sizes in the message list
2024.05.30 21:04 Impala1989 Font sizes in the message list
Is it possible to change the sizes of the fonts used in the message list. For example. the way it currently stands, it appears as though Thunderbird makes the messenge sender and the subject line the same font and size, it kind of makes everything all blend together. In Outlook, usually the message sender's name is larger in size than the subject line under it. Is there a way to change it to something similar, or are they both connected together in the CSS? In fact even adding a blank space up above the message sender and below the subject line would help make it so it doesn't seem to crunched together. Thanks in advance!

2024.05.26 05:03 cepapanay Personal Opinions on Everbyte’s Feedback Response (Long)
As relieved as I am to hear a response from Everybyte’s team, I am unsure if their response directly “fixes” any of its addressed issues. I’ll be writing my personal response on topics that I find the most important.
Multimedia Pack and Pricing
Although the claim was that the multimedia pack in Duskwood faced a lot of criticism, I would argue the contrary. Of course, there will always be criticism when there is a price to follow along a service, but I believe the multimedia pack was quite popular among most of the fans. By investing in a one time purchase, I would argue that the immersion in the game remains unbroken. The pricing wasn’t exactly egregious on the pack either. $10.00-$15.00 was very reasonable (perhaps even underselling) the amount of content that followed along. Of course, seeing as more effort and funding was required for the development of Moonvale, a lot of us were anticipating a price hike for the multimedia pack. This was completely justifiable as long as the content matched the efforts allotted into the game. Most of us are willing to pay a fair price for a premium.
The pay-per-choice system with the gems/diamonds, at least in my opinion, feels quite disruptive to the overall immersion in the game. It also seems that this method would also encourage players to spend more money in the long term as well.
Usage of AI
AI has faced a hefty amount of criticism in the past few years, especially when used in the creative front. I understand that your team has limited access to resources, but AI as a resource is something to be careful with. It provides many benefits in the short term, but lacks the conciseness/focus to stimulate immersion in the long term.
AI art lacks the attention to detail to make its creations believable. For example, the borders on the tarot card in Episode 1 are inconsistent and asymmetrical, immediately giving away that the picture was altered with AI. If you are to continue using AI to provide images for your games, please make sure to manually edit them carefully. It would also be wise to consider that a sizable sum of fans are against the use of AI art entirely due to allegations of art theft, which, whether you believe that to be true or not, should be taken into consideration in the creation of your games. AI art does not currently have a good reputation with most of the public, no matter what your intentions may be.
The AI texting modules that you mentioned in this section, while fun, I don’t think should be included as a major feature of Moonvale’s storyline. Most textbots suffer from memory limitations, which can result in choppy or confusing conversations. As far as I know, this is currently just a result of limited technology. At its current state, AI textbots can only work efficiently short-term, which I don’t believe will fit into the criteria for Moonvale’s main story. Your team’s author is amazing, and although I am aware that she’s unable to provide customizable dialogue forever like AI, I believe that what she does write will be that much more memorable in the long run. Again, while I don’t think AI textbots should anywhere near the main storyline, I think that you could probably still use it in smaller scales (online forums, comments, etc.) as a fun bonus 🙂
The (default) messenger theme
Perhaps this is out of bias, but I don’t believe that the current theme for the messenger is immersive with the tone of the story. While I am wary of comparing Moonvale to Duskwood since they are different games, the overall tone of both games remain serious and mostly realistic. The biggest draw of Duskwood’s chatting app was that it replicated the UI of chatting apps in real life. Small things such as the minimally stylized WiFi symbol and time atop the screen went miles to ensure immersion. I think that it would be best to remember that the main role of the app is that it’s serving as a messenger. Nothing more, nothing less. The current theme is, at least in my opinion, a tad infantile. My assumption is that this design choice was to adhere to younger players, but the current setup derails from the tone of the game and the role of the app. You are involved in a missing persons’ case, not a carnival. Please be mindful of the setting of the game.
I think that reducing the font size of currencies and placing them to the very top of the app, as well as adding smaller details such as WiFi, time, etc. at the top would greatly help immerse players into the game. Duskwood’s UI was satisfactory and, seeing as how Moonvale is set in the same universe and perhaps even using the same messenger as Duskwood, there is no reason to drastically change the UI from Duskwood.
Major Topics Left Unanswered (Character Profiles, Profile Gacha, Minigames)
Character profiles have more or less completely disappeared from Moonvale. This was a strikingly strange choice as they had previously served to introduce the characters and store evidence. They were also immersive as they fit the standards of most messengers… Most people have their socials and images posted in popular messenger apps. Please add them back (gallery, audio files, optional social media links).
Players have also been anticipating custom profiles for a while now, but I don’t think they meant it like this. Most people wanted to choose their own images as profile pictures rather than AI-generated images, as well as having a few real life pictures they can take for the gallery. The current method of getting these AI-generated profile pictures is through a gacha system, where using diamonds can get you a random pictures. The gacha system is popular in mobile games, yes, but it is also equally deplorable due to its reliance on the same highs as gambling. Seeing as your team most likely acknowledges the fact that there are younger players in your audience (as evident by the current theme and UI), this is not the way to go. Gaining new profile pictures by achievements or being able to personally select an image from your gallery would be preferable as opposed to enticing gambling.
Finally, the minigames. I think it would be best to introduce mechanics slowly rather than having a single level to teach it. For example, having 2-3 levels covering a mechanic before introducing the next one. Furthermore, please add a REASON to why we are completing the minigames in the first place. In Duskwood, it was to “hack” into someone’s cloud storage. In Moonvale, there is no explanation. Revamping the introduction to provide a lore to why we bother with the minigames would, in my opinion, greatly improve the immersion with the minigames. This would probably also include revamping the UI/images for the minigames as well.
Concluding Thoughts
I know that the team at Everbyte studios is capable of creating amazing games when put to their own devices. Examples such as Duckwood and Nox stand their ground when compared to competitors. I understand that AI is tempting to use due to its convenience, but at its current state it cannot replace or even accurately replicate human emotions. I’m not saying to completely abandon the prospects of AI, but instead to severely tone down its usage. We want a game designed, written, and handmade by Everbyte Studios, not AI. Although we express disappointment and frustration now, it is only because we believe you can still fix and learn from your mistakes. Please don’t turn a deaf ear to your fans, and we encourage you to communicate with us more in the future. We are only on episode 1, so there is still time to change🙂

2024.05.24 05:42 MarioManNc Is This Yamaha Yas 82ZS Real?
Hey Guys! I was just wondering if this Yamaha 82ZS I found on Market place is real:
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/464314136284857/?referralSurface=messenger_lightspeed_banner&referralCode=messenger_banner It's at an incredible price and the seller himself said he'd do $700CAD before I even bartered. I think it is but I just wanted some second opinions. I'm going to give it a test on Saturday before I bite the bullet and was wondering if there's anything I should look out for. Thanks a lot!
Update: It's definitely a fake, the letters used for the serial number are serif wheras Yamaha uses a sans-serif font for their sax serial numbers. Thanks a lot to Braymond1 for putting me on to the idea that it was a fake. I really beleived it was authentic. It seemed to good to be true, and it was. I'll just have to continue my hunt. Thanks a lot guys!

2024.05.23 15:04 KhanhNhatDinh Just a share
Greetings, BlackBerry lovers.
I'm also one of you. I'm writing this to share with you how much I love BlackBerry, especially the BlackBerry Passport. I've been using so many smartphones and have kept some special ones for a collection. The iPhone 5s was the best-looking device of all time in my opinion, even when comparing it to any of the latest smartphones with bezel-less displays or other incredible designs. The iPhone 5s is still one of the best designs. But since I've had my hands on the Passport, my mind has changed; it completely beats the iPhone 5s. I felt excited about how beautiful it is and really fell in love with it. Of course, I got it for my collection.
Despite it being quite an old tech device and having so many restrictions these days, let's go back one year. I always had it in my pocket next to my main device (Z Fold 5). I was using it like a messaging and emailing machine with just a connection via Bluetooth tethering. The keyboard is amazing; typing is so satisfying. And since WhatsApp discontinued support for Android 4.3, and recently Facebook and Messenger stopped working on my Passport, I don't know why, that makes the Passport become less useful to me. I have no reason to take it out with me every day anymore.
Every day I still hold it, gaze at it, and play some card games. I know you guys are trying to install many cool games on it, but I won't force my Passport to do it. However, I try searching for ideas to make it more useful to me. For example, I could sync the notifications from my main device, just like a smartwatch, use it to control my PC, or use it like a music player because it supports AptX.
I figured out there's a quite similar-looking device on the market—the Unihertz Titan. I thought of getting it as a replacement for the Passport, but it is too bulky, and the main reason is that it is not a BlackBerry.
Hopefully, one day, we could revive BlackBerry, and I could experience more functions.
Honestly, if in 2024, an exactly same-looking BlackBerry Passport were released with the latest Android version installed, I would not hesitate to purchase it at any cost.

- Vidalia onions - $3.98 3lb bag -- Ouu! Nice! That's 1.33/lb for vidalias!! Excellent price!

FoodLand - Ground beef (lean) - $3.99 per lb -- Scene Member Price. Great price for ground. We've seen lower, but this is hard to beat without waiting or grocery tripping across town.
- Asparagus - $2.99 per lb -- Fair price for asparagus. Everyone seems to have it on their flyers this week.
- Pineapple - $3.49 each -- Fair price. Any higher and it's not quite a sale. But ya, I wouldn't scoff at this price.

https://greenfreshottawa20.wixsite.com/greenfreshottawa) * Produce Price Rating: Usually very competitive, catering to Asian cuisine. Warning: their newest sales start on Fridays - so this is a late advertising of their sales.
IGA (price matcher)
- Ground beef (lean) - $3.99 per lb -- Great price for ground!
- Argentinian wild shrimp (Green Ocean, 20-30ct) - $12.99 680g bag -- Good price for bigger shrimp.
- Eggs (Compliments) - $2.49 12-pack -- Excellent price for eggs! This is what gets you in the store. But watch out, look through their flyer, and see their pricing. It's been tending past "medium" into "high" ranges, even to a point of upset. And they're mucking around with their price fonts to mess up how you see if it's per lb or a fixed weight.
- Red vine tomatoes - $0.99 per lb -- Excellent price!
- Radishes - $0.99 per bunch -- Scene Member Price. Reg 1.49. Great price!
- Strawberries - $1.77 454g shell -- Scene Member Price. Reg 2.99. Fantastic price! Try to get some if you can take advantage of that discount.
- Produce Price Rating: Medium to high.
Independent - Ground beef (medium) - $4.49 per lb -- Good price for ground beef.
- Whole chicken - $2.49 per lb -- Good price. We've seen better, but this is good.
- Broccoli - $2.49 per lb -- Actually decent per lb price for broc, especially if the stems are minimal. But, in the same way, watch, and don't pay for broc that's mostly stem.
- Watermelon (11lb avg) - $5.99 each -- Good price!
- Brick cheese (Black Diamond) - $4.88 400g bar -- Nice! $5 brick cheese!
- Produce Price Rating: fairly high with few exceptions
Loblaws - Ground beef (medium) - $4.49 per lb -- Good price for ground beef.
- Whole chicken - $2.49 per lb -- Great price!
- Beef strip - $7.00 250g -- Ohh really?! For 250g? Can't just say "$14/lb"? And then they advertise $8/lb eye of round right beside it? Like, get real....
- Broccoli - $2.49 per lb -- More of that per lb broc.
- Bok choy - $2.99 per lb -- WHAT?! Dude, that's 3x what other places charge!
- Strawberries - $1.99 454g shell -- Great price (and some redemption for that bok boy...)
- Brick cheese (Black Diamond) - $4.88 400g bar -- Nice! $5 brick cheese!
- Produce Price Rating: fairly high with few exceptions
Provigo - Beef inside round roast - $5.99 per lb -- Good price for beef round.
- Beef inside round steak - $6.99 per lb -- Silly to charge $1/lb more for just cutting the sale round into slices. Buy the round and cut them as thick as you want.
- Pork side rib - $2.99 per lb -- Good price for side rib.
- Whole duck - $3.99 per lb -- Standard price for duck.
- Asparagus - $2.99 per lb -- Fair price for asparagus. Seems to be the average this week.

- Cherries - $2.44 per lb -- WOW! Awesome price!
- Prunes - $1.99 per lb -- Good price for prunes!
- White sugar (Lantic) - $1.99 2kg bag --
- Canned tomatoes (Unico) - $1.79 796ml can -- Not bad.
- Canned tomato soup (Aylmer) - $0.57 284ml can -- Excellent price for an easy meal. And, I've seen some people pull off some creative stuff with canned soup.
- Canned tuna (No Name) - $0.95 170g can -- Nice!
- Produce Price Rating: Generally medium low pricing! This store can post some impressive deals at times.
Metro - Chicken breast (skinless, boneless) - $4.88 per lb -- Great price for chicken breast.
- Beef inside blade steak - $5.99 per lb -- Blade steaks are made by cutting directly across the top blade muscle, which is actually pretty tender. The one negative is there's a seam of connective tissue running through the centre of it, which means that every section of steak has a piece of this tough strip of gristle right in the middle.
- Lamb shoulder chops - $4.99 per lb -- Loblaws stores have these going for $6/lb, which is not a great deal. But $5/lb, now we're talking.
- Lobster (cooked) - $10.99 each -- Not bad. You can sometimes score it for less, but this is essential right on target with averages.
- Store-made sausage - $4.44 per lb -- Really hard to beat! This is a fantastic deal for a good product that starts and ends in the back with the butcher.
- Salmon steaks, Haddock fillet, Fresh Ontario Lake Trout fillet - $9.99 per lb -- Lots of fish options with good and fair pricing!
- Mini-cucumber - $2.49 6-pack -- Not bad. Could be better, could be a lot worse lol.
- Zucchini - $0.88 per lb -- Excellent price!!!!
- Vidalia onions - $0.88 per lb -- Excellent price!!!!
- Potatoes (Russet) - $2.49 5lb bag -- Great price!
- Cherries - $3.99 per lb -- Fair rate on cherries this week.
- Brick cheese (Black Diamond) - $4.99 400g bar -- Nice! $5 brick cheese!
- Deli - MTL smoked beef - $2.99 per 100g -- Not super amazing as deli prices go, but ok. It's a good product, and the price is reflected in that.
- Deli - Cooked ham (Moisson) - $2.49 per 100g -- This kind of highlights the MTL smoked meat deal.
- Deli - Mortadella (San Daniele) - $2.69 per 100g -- Sigh... It's crazy that Adonis has this stuff for 1.99/100g or the Roma-brand for as low as 1.49/100g.
- Produce Price Rating: High. Kinda like Sobeys. You can see a 50% average mark-up compared to a lot of other stores. It's nice produce, but it costs you.
No Frills (price matcher)
- Pork back rib - $2.99 per lb -- Good price for pork rib.
- Salmon fillet - $9.77 per lb -- Good price for pink fish.
- English cucumber - $0.44 each -- Fantastic cucumber price!
- Mini-cucumber - $3.88 11-pack -- Good price for these packs, given 6-packs are about $2 at best.
- Asparagus - $2.88 per lb -- Going-rate this week.
- Avocado - $4.88 5-6 pack -- Not bad. Cado pricing is all over the place, but this should be worthwhile.
- Kale, collard greens - $1.33 per bunch -- Good price for fresh greens.
- Carrots - $3.88 5lb bag -- Nice! But it's a lot of carrot. Could be good for chopping, freezing, baby food, things like that.
- Potatoes - $4.99 10lb bag -- Good price for potatoes. 50c/lb is a great rate.
- Mushrooms - $3.88 454g shell -- Good price for mushrooms. Half-lb shells can go for 2.50 or more often enough.
- Green and red peppers - $3.88 4-pack -- So, fun store, I weighed the 4-packs at Basics, and they clock in at 1.5lbs. That might be a useful measure to remember when considering if these are good deals. So, this should float around 2.50/lb. Food Basics' last deal was for 2.98, which puts their deal in the $2/lb range.
- Salad kits (PC) - $1.88 340-397g kits -- Great price for an easy salad kit.
- Limes - $0.44 each -- Great price! Citrus prices are swinging a lot week-to-week, I find, no matter the store.
- Mango - $0.99 each -- A proper and fair price for a mango!
- White sugar (Lantic) - $1.99 2kg bag -- Great deal on a good pantry staple.
- Silk plant bev - $2.88 1.74-1.89L jug -- Great sale!
- Tofu (Rooster) - $1.68 454g block -- Really good deal! These can be between $2 and $2.50.
- Basmati rice (Quality) - $8.99 8lb bag -- A little high compared to the Basics deal for 8kg bags for $13, but it's basmati, which can command a higher price.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally quite low, selectively amazing for some items.
Produce Depot (usually a little late on the flyer)
https://producedepot.ca/ - Pepper steaks - $6.99 per lb -- Probably a standard cut, but pre-seasoned and ready for the pan or grill.
- Pork back rib - $4.49 per lb -- Unfortunately on the high side for pork rib. $3/lb is the target price.
- BC Snapper fillet - $8.99 per lb -- Great price for good fish!
- Hothouse tomatoes - $0.99 per lb -- Awesome price! I wonder if these are the same I got from the Adonis the other day. They were REALLY nice. Basically perfect.
- Cauliflower - $2.79 per lb -- Awesome deal on cauliflower!! Hard to find under $3.
- English cucumber - $0.59 each -- Fantastic cucumber price!
- Green peppers - $1.99 per lb -- Good going-rate on peppers. Fundamental ingredient to a lot of cooking, especially the good ol' Cajun Holy Trinity!
- Pineapple - $3.99 each -- A little up there for pineapple pricing, but these are advertised as "large", which may justify a little premium. I wouldn't pass one up if they're really nice.
- Deli - Mortadella (San Daniele) - $1.99 per 100g -- Ah, there's our $2/100g deal! This is lovely deli meat for a good price!
- Produce Price Rating: Medium-low with very competitive specials on a shortened flyer. The small flyer is nice because it doesn't uselessly feature $6 heads of cauliflower and extremely high-price items that are either a confusion on the consumer, or an insult on the injury of not being able to afford supreme quality items.
Real Canadian Superstore (price matcher)
- Chicken drumsticks or thighs (bone-in, with skin) - $2.44 per lb -- Fair deal. Not the best, but fair. Wouldn't shy from buying it if it was my only protein option, but I wouldn't stock up at this price.
- Mini-cucumber - $4.00 11-pack -- Fair price for these 11-packs.
- Corn - $0.79 each -- Far cry from the 40c range deals we saw last week.
- Beefsteak tomato - $1.49 per lb -- Good price for tomatoes. But, not really a fan of beefsteak. I find they can be grainy when they're not local.
- Potatoes (Imperfect) - $6.00 15lb bag -- Awesome price for potatoes! 40c/lb!
- Grapes (red or green) - $2.99 per lb -- Fair rate on grapes. $2/lb is a fantastic deal, and $4/lb is an average sale or regular price.
- Silk plant bev - $2.88 1.74-1.89L jug -- Great sale!
- Olive oil (Gallo) - $12.88 1L bottle -- That's a REALLY good price for olive oil. It ain't fancy stuff, but perfect for cooking. I reserve really good oil for salads.
- Basmati rice (Quality) - $8.99 8lb bag -- Same rice deal as No Frills.
- Tofu (Rooster) - $1.68 454g block -- Really good deal! These can be between $2 and $2.50.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally medium-low pricing, selectively amazing for some items.
Sobeys - Ground beef (lean) - $3.99 per lb -- Scene Member Price. 4.99 reg. Good rate on ground.
- Beef inside round roast or steaks - $5.99 per lb -- Good price for inside round! It's a very versatile cut. Keep as a whole roast, or go for the marinating steaks.
- Pork loin, roast, chops - $3.99 per lb -- Fair rate for pork loin, but not a door-crasher or anything. Just a good mentionable alternative.
- Atlantic salmon - $9.77 per lb -- Scene Member Price. 12.99 reg. Good sale rate price on salmon. Note, it's a 4 day sale.
- Bok choy - $0.99 per lb -- Awesome price for choy!
- Blueberries - $2.77 full pint -- Good price for a full pint. We're seeing some other good deals on blueberries this week. This one is a bit higher than the others, but still reall quite good!
- Mangoes - $5.99 case (6?) -- Scene Member Price. Hmm! Good price on mangos. I'm assuming by the photo that there are 6 in a case.
- Produce Price Rating: Generally a high price store, especially for produce. Some items are 50% more than more value-oriented stores. Kinda like Metro, some of the deals can be quite good.
Super C - Beef t-bone steak - $8.87 per lb -- WOW! That's a great deal on t-bone! This cut combines the meaty flavor of a strip steak with the signature tenderness of the filet mignon.
- Chicken drumsticks or thighs (bone-in, with skin) - $1.99 per lb -- Great chicken deal!
- Smoked ham toupie (Selection) - $7.99 675g -- Good deal for a simple ham that you can use for sandwiches, a breakfast side, for soups, lunches, and more. It's basically deli ham, but for $1.18/100g
- Argentinian shrimp (Marina Del Rey, 20-30ct) - $6.95 300g bag -- Good price on big shrimp!
- Italian sausage (Marcangelo) - $6.99 500-675g 4-pack -- Great sausage at a decent price. I made some of these over the weekend. From thawed, set them in a pan with about 1cm of water, and cover but leave a crack. Flip half way into the water boiling off. Then, once the water is about run dry, add in a chopped onions, and cover with the lid sealed to the pan - this should help the onion breakdown. Watch until the onion begins to disintegrate, and you should end up with a juicy sausage and savory onion sauce.
- Beefsteak tomato - $0.88 per lb -- Excellent deal!! Wow! It's beefsteak, but I don't care. That's a good price.
- Mini-cucumber - $0.88 6-pack -- Wow! Amazing deal! These are usually $2 or more!
- Sweet peppers - $2.99 4-pack -- Nice! Similar to the Basics deal last week. Should clock in close to $2/lb if the pack is 1.5lbs.
- Zucchini - $1.49 per lb -- Good rate on zuch. We've seen better, but this is fine. $1/lb is about as low as it goes, while $2.49/lb is a common upper limit.
- Eggplant - $1.49 per lb -- Great price! Underrated ingredient and centrepiece to a meal!
- Cherries - $2.44 per lb -- Another awesome deal on cherries!
- Blackberries - $1.63 170g shell -- Nice! Blackberries are tough to find under $2. So this is a win.
- Butter (Selection) - $4.88 454g bar -- Very nice! 11c under the 4.99 mark isn't much, but it's certain eye-catching.
- Canned tuna (Clover Leaf) - $0.97 170g can -- Nice! That's a good price for good tuna!
- Walnuts (Irresistibles) - $10.00 750g bag -- Very good price for walnuts!
- Almonds (Irresistibles) - $10.00 1kg bag -- Another great nut deal!
- - --
- Produce Price Rating: Generally low, but can creep into medium for some items. But, there's always something decent available!
T&T Supermarket https://www.tntsupermarket.com * Produce Price Rating: Usually very competitive, catering to Asian cuisine. Warning: their newest sales start on Fridays - so this is a late advertising of their sales.
Walmart - Bacon (Smithfield) - $3.27 375g pack -- Good price for bacon!
- Sausage (breakfast, dinner, Maple Leaf) - $7.27 varied weight -- You'll want to measure the weights in-store. $4/lb is a good target, so if these are 2lb packs, then you're getting a good deal.
- Vine tomatoes - $0.74 per lb -- WOW! What a price!
- Salad greens - $3.97 454g bin -- These are the BIG bins. Normal bins are 142g and usually about $3-4. This is 3x that for the same price.
- Cucumber - $1.47 each -- Meh...
- Flat cabbage - $0.88 per lb -- Very nice! Good to see cheap cabbage!
- Daikon/Lobok - $0.88 per lb -- Ouu! Maybe a new pickling/fermentation project is in my future if I manage to hit a Walmart.
- Bok choy - $1.88 per lb -- Fair price. Not 99c/lb, but still ok. Definitely not the $3/lb earlier in the review...
- Ginger - $1.88 per lb -- Nice! Anything around and under $2/lb is a good price for ginger.
- Red Delicious apples - $0.64 per lb -- WOW! What a deal! Get these!
- Pineapple - $2.97 each -- Good and fair price for pineapple. $2/unit sometimes happens, but it's increasingly rare.
- Lemons - $0.67 each -- Let's math this out a bit. A typical 2lb bag has about 7 lemons in it. That lands us at 4.69 for a 7-unit bag of 67c lemons. So, really, if you need a lot of lemons, go find a $4 2lb bag. Otherwise, 67c/unit ain't bad if you can't see using that many.
- Mangoes - $8.88 5lb case (6 units?) -- Not as good as that Sobeys deal, but still decent considering you can pay up to $2 for a mango these days...
- TV ad funny - -- So, they got sales on Samsung TVs in the flyer. And in bold they advertise "small steps to sustainability", suggesting that these TVs help saving energy. But what's hilarious is that it's about 300kg of CO2 to produce a single TV. The average car produces about 200g of CO2 per km, meaning producing a TV is like driving 1500km (or more if you're driving a smaller vehicle). Just some food for thought. Makes me wonder why they would assert anything about sustainability...
- Produce Price Rating: A little all over the place. Some really good prices between a lot of average pricing.
Costco (Note that these are the online/shipped prices - reduce each item by $3 for in-store pricing)
- NOTE: NEED TO REVISE - --
- Paper Towel (Kirkland) - $27.99 12-roll pack -- 2-ply; 160 sheets
- Paper Towel (Bounty) - $27.49 12-roll pack -- 2-ply; 86 sheets
- Toilet Paper (Kirkland) - $25.99 30-roll pack -- 2-ply; 380 sheets
- Toilet Paper (Cashmere) - $24.99 40-roll pack -- 2-ply; 250 sheets (on sale)
- Dish soap (Dawn Platinum) - $18.99 2.66L -- Food Basics often has this jug for $10!
- Laundry detergent (Purex) - $24.99 9.24L -- 250 loads
- Garbage bags (30 gallon; large) - $15.99 100-pack -- Amazon has Glad standard 74L bags, 100-packs for $23, sometimes less if on sale
- Countertop green bin liners - $21.99 125-pack -- Amazon has Glad Compostable green bin liners 100-packs for $18, sometimes less if on sale
- Produce Price Rating: I need to do a proper check to be sure, but I find it's pretty average. There's an illusion of getting a good deal because of the bulk. Just be careful.
Jean Coutu (new sales start Fridays)
- Produce Price Rating: I have to start checking these just in case...
Shoppers Drug Mart (new sales start Fridays)
- Produce Price Rating: Sometimes they have cheap butter, eggs, and milk on weekends.

2024.05.20 22:27 ScarHydreigon87 How to play Pardofelis in D&D
Today we’re building Pardofelis, 13th of the 13 Flame Chasers. This is part 11 of building the 13 Flame Chasers in D&D.
Let’s start off with our goals for this build. Pardofelis’s Signets revolve around gathering as much money as possible to gain buffs. Since that’s not a thing in D&D, we’ll instead focus on being acrobatic and agile as you do favor a fast, hit-and-run fighting style, as well as being able to swindle, shark, and steal anything. We also sadly won't be able to summon a giant Can to squash our enemies with.
For stats, we’ll be using Point Buy. Roll for stats if you want, just keep your Dexterity and Charisma high for multiclassing.
15 Dexterity, as you are very agile and acrobatic.
15 Charisma, as you are a swindling salesperson
13 Constitution, as you still need to be tough
12 Wisdom, as you do have keen senses
8 Strength, as you're pretty thin
And 8 Intelligence, as while you are crafty, you’re still pretty dumb.
For race, Catgirl definitely means Tabaxi. You get +2 to one stat and +1 to another, or +1 to three stats. We’ll go for +1 to three stats to round out our Dexterity, Charisma, and Constitution. You get a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, Cat’s Talent for Proficiency in Stealth and Perception, 60 feet of Darkvision, your unarmed strikes deal 1d6+plus your Strength modifier in slashing damage (although if I were the DM, I’d have them use Dexterity), and Feline Agility, letting you move double your movement speed for a turn. Afterwards, you can’t use it again unless you spend a turn not moving. Take the Charlatan Background for Sleight of Hand and Deception as you are a professional swindler.
We’ll actually kick things off as a Bard for better saving throws, and for later in the build. 1st Level Bards can pick any 3 Skills they like. Acrobatics, Persuasion, and Animal Handling would be my picks. You get Bardic Inspiration, letting you use a bonus action to give an ally a d6 they can use to add to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw within the next 10 minutes, an amount of times per long rest equal to your Charisma modifier. For your cantrips, take Vicious Mockery and Friends. For your spells, take Silvery Barbs, Cure Wounds, Speak with Animals, and Identify.
2nd Level Bards get Jack of All Trades, letting you add half your proficiency bonus to any ability check you aren’t proficient with, which include initiative rolls. You also get Song of Rest, letting your soldiers add an extra d6 whenever they spend hit dice to restore HP during a short rest to keep them up in the field. You also get the option of Magical Inspiration, letting an ally who has a Bardic Inspiration die use it to add to the damage or healing of a spell. Speaking of, you can also learn 1 extra spell, and Charm Person forces a Wisdom save on a humanoid within 30 feet, and on a failure they’re charmed by you for an hour as long as you don’t do anything harmful to them.
3rd Level Bards can pick a Bard College, and College of Swords is perfect for an acrobatic sword fighter. You get proficiency in Medium Armor, which doesn’t matter, but more importantly, you get proficiency in Scimitars, which best mirror your weapons. You can also choose a Fighting Style, and since you wield two blades, we’ll go with Two Weapon Fighting, letting you add your Dexterity modifier to your offhand attacks. Swords Bards get Blade Flourishes, letting you use a Bardic Inspiration die when you make an attack to add extra damage equal to the result, and giving you 10 extra feet of movement for a turn, on top of 3 different effects. Defensive Flourish give a bonus to your AC equal to your Bardic Inspiration for a turn, Slashing Flourish deals damage equal to another target within 5 feet of the first equal to the result, and Mobile Flourish lets you push the target 5 feet plus the result rolled away from you, and then you can use your reaction to move within 5 feet to the target. However, Defensive Flourish is what matters the most here, so just focus on that.
3rd Level Bards can also learn 2nd Level Spells. Take the spell Animal Messenger to have Can deliver messages for you. Lastly, 3rd Level Bards get Expertise in 2 skills. Go for Sleight of Hand and Deception.
4th Level Bards get an Ability Score Improvement. Bump your Dexterity for better AC and damage. For your spell at this level, take Feather Fall as Cats always land on their feet.
5th Level Bards get Font of Inspiration, meaning your Bardic Inspiration now recharges on a short rest as well, and it also upgrades from a d6 to a d8. You can also learn 3rd Level Spells. Take the spell Leomund’s Tiny Hut to set up shop.
6th Level Swords Bards get an Extra Attack, letting you attack twice in 1 round. For your spell at this level, take the spell Locate Object to help find treasure.
Lastly, 6th Level Bards get Countercharm, letting you use your action to give you and your allies advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, but this feature is honestly pretty bad.
We’ll now multiclass into Rogue. Multiclassing into Rogue gives you 1 Skill from the Rogue list. Go for Investigation. You also get Expertise in 2 more Skills. Go for Acrobatics and Stealth.
You also learn Thieves Cant, letting you speak in secret code words, and Sneak Attack, giving you an extra d6 to add to a weapon attack once per turn if you either have advantage on the attack roll or have an ally within 5 feet of you.
2nd Level Rogues get Cunning Action, letting you Dash, Disengage, or Hide as a Bonus Action.
3rd Level Rogues get to pick a Roguish Archetype, and Swashbuckler is excellent for someone slippery with both the blade and tongue. You get Fancy Footwork, meaning when you hit a creature with a melee attack, that creature can’t make opportunity attacks against you that turn. You also get Rakish Audacity, letting you add your Charisma Modifier to your initiative rolls, and letting you use your Sneak Attack against a creature without needing advantage or another ally as long as you, the creature, and no other creatures are within 5 feet of you. 3rd Level Rogues also get Steady Aim, letting you use a bonus action to gain advantage on your next ranged attack roll as long as you don’t move or haven’t moved that turn. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 2d6.
4th Level Rogues get an Ability Score Improvement. Cap your Dexterity for the best AC and damage.
5th Level Rogues get Uncanny Dodge, letting you use your reaction to halve the damage you take from an attack against you. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 3d6.
6th Level Rogues get Expertise in 2 more skills. Go for Perception and Persuasion.
7th Level Rogues get Evasion, meaning when you make a Dexterity saving throw to avoid damage, you take no damage on a success, and only half on a failure. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 4d6.
8th Level Rogues get another Ability Score Improvement. Bump your Charisma for more Bardic Inspiration and better spell save DC.
9th Level Swashbucklers get Panache, letting you use your action to make a Persuasion check contested by an opponent’s Insight check. If you succeed on the check and the creature is hostile to you, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against targets other than you and can't make opportunity attacks against targets other than you. This effect lasts for 1 minute, until one of your companions attacks the target or affects it with a spell, or until you and the target are more than 60 feet apart. If you succeed on the check and the creature isn't hostile to you, it is charmed by you for 1 minute. While charmed, it regards you as a friendly acquaintance. This effect ends immediately if you or your companions do anything harmful to it. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 5d6.
10th Level Rogues get another Ability Score Improvement. Cap your Charisma for the most Bardic Inspiration and better spell save DC.
11th Level Rogues get Reliable Talent, meaning you cannot roll lower than a 10 on any skill you're proficient with. Your Sneak Attack increases one more time to 6d6.
12th Level Rogues get our last Ability Score Improvement or a Feat. We’ll take the Magic Initiate Feat, grabbing 2 Cantrips and a Spell from the Sorcerer list. Take the Cantrips Ray of Frost and Shape Water, and for your spell, take Shield. This’ll give you a bit of ice power since you are an Ice-type Battlesuit.
We’ll finish off the build with 2 Levels in Fighter. 1st Level Fighters can pick a Fighting Style, and Defense will add +1 to your AC while wearing armor. You also get Second Wind, letting you heal 1d10+your Fighter level as a bonus action once per short or long rest to stay up in the fight.
Our Capstone is the 2nd Level of Fighter for Action Surge, letting you take an additional action once per rest.
Now that we’ve hit Level 20, let’s go over the Strengths of this build. First, you are very agile and slippery with 18 AC, Defensive Flourish, Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, Feline Agility, and Expertise in Acrobatics making you tricky to pin down. Speaking of Expertise, you have Expertise in 6 Skills and Reliable Talent, letting you always be able to jump, swindle, and sneak your way out of almost anything. You also deal solid damage with Sneak Attack and your Flourishes plus Ray of Frost for range, and thanks to Rakish Audacity and Jack of All Trades, you have a +13 to Initiative rolls, meaning you’re more likely to be first in the fray. Lastly, you have good supportive utility thanks to Bardic Inspiration.
For weaknesses, your HP is below-average for a melee fighter, sitting at around 145, so while you have many options to help reduce damage, you still aren’t as durable as someone like Kalpas. You’re also Vulnerable to Strength and Intelligence saving throws, meaning you can easily be thrown around and brainwashed. Lastly, you have multiple instances where you need to be standing still, such as using Steady Aim or recharging your Feline Agility, which can leave you open.

2024.05.20 15:05 sizejuan Switch from 15 pro max to Pixel Pro 8, here are my thoughts.
Firstly, I know madami nang gantong thread, pero hopefully lumusot padin to since as a techy guy, excited padin ako mag share ng ganito. Started with android, then nag switch ako to ios around Android Nougat, and mostly Sony and Samung gamit ko back then, then hated iOS for a bit then learned to love it and it's ecosystem, then now back to Android.
What I like - I like that the gesture support is almost on par with iOS since after using it quite extensively, ayoko na bumalik sa normal 3 button setup ng Android. Mas gusto ko na pwedeng swipe from the left or right to go back compared to iOS na swipe from left lang.
- Na miss ko yung pag customize ng home screen, it's true na medyo customizable narin yung iOS pero 1 day ata ako nagspend ng pag hahanap ng perfect launcher and setup na gusto ko.
- Camera, ang ganda talaga, yung reviews doesn't do justice sa ganda niya. Since maganda na talaga camera ng IPhone, I'm still surprised na noticeable para sakin yung differences. (Ibang usapan yung video)
What I don't like - Font, might be bias, pero preferrence ko na yung SF Pro ng iOS, dapat pwede tong palitan sa Android, mukang kaya naman pero di na provided natively (atleast nung android version na nasa pixel)
- Mas maganda parin yung video capability ng iOS, not just sa quality/stability pero yung pag capture ng audio, can't remember the term pero mas naeemphasis na audio is kung saan naka tutok yung vinivideohan mo.
- Wala nang long press sa messenger para hindi maseen hahaha, although you get the bubble chat in exchange.
Neutral comment but worth mentioning - App's font size consistency, mostly developer issue pero di consistent yung font size per app, using the setting app as a basis, may mas malaki may mas maliit
- Face ID, may provided face ID si pixel, pero pag maliwanag lang gumagana which is dahil naman kulang sa sensor, pero medyo eto yung something na you don't think about sa iOS then balik ka sa consciously pag fingerprint, although now di naman na big deal.
- Good bye iMessage with wifey, medyo di daw siya sanay and nag wwhatsapp kami, pero no big deal din naman.
- Good bye Airdrop (although more on problem nila since sila ang manghihingi ng magaganda kong shots hahaha), I've downloaded neardrop sa mac ko so no problem with this din naman.
- Good bye Wireless carplay, yung car namin wired android auto lang supported, hays, so si wifey lang lagi nakakapag patugtog haha
- No 5G, LTE is good enough for all my usecase kaya no big deal sakin.
If you have some question for me, let me know.

Uses those codes to create a chat application that connects directly to WhatsApp’s native database. Although he created this mobile application for entertainment.

2024.05.04 15:39 Calm_Extreme1532 Just Saw Seinfeld’s New Film Unfrosted (Review)
| For those unaware, Jerry Seinfeld made his own corporate biopic about the origins of pop tarts. I watched it, didn’t think it was good, and wanted to share my thoughts. Not going to bother putting spoiler tags so be warned, but I doubt most of you are going to bother to see it anyways if you’re not interested already. In interviews promoting this, Jerry Seinfeld came out and said that the movie business is over. While I generally agree with the sentiment that the movie business is a shell of its former self, I can’t help but find that Jerry Seinfeld isn’t the best messenger as his vision for a film was to make a movie on the origins of fucking pop tarts. It’s no secret that Seinfeld’s entire career is thanks to Larry David, and the only other things to his name is his shitty Bee Movie and failed projects. His standup wasn't funny, his TV stuff wasn't funny, and his films aren’t funny. The man is a hack yet he acts as if he’s an authority on anything. He's also wrong that the movie industry won't bounce back. All it will take is one radical talented auteur to break in and change everything again, just like it happens every 20 years or so when people proclaim that the sky is falling in Hollywood. There is a huge groundswell of pissed off resentment for how the industry/country has been going the last decade or so, and out of that will emerge an artist that fully taps into that anger, writes something great and convinces someone to let them shoot it on celluloid. This new zeitgeist work will reveal everything else for the trite slop that it is, and kick off another cinematic revolution of imitators. Getting into the film itself, it’s complete shit. Not only is it a soulless biopic, it’s a soulless biopic that doesn’t take itself seriously. BlackBerry, the best biopic of the bunch that came out last year, was a comedy that still had drama and stakes to it. Unfrosted? They make it very blatant that they only made this movie to capitalize off of a trend and don’t really have anything worth sharing or saying. It falls into the “we made an unsatisfying film on purpose so somehow that makes it good” camp. Jokes consist of weird modern references and memes that are completely alien to the timeframe being depicted. Tony The Tiger dresses up as the Q-Anon shaman and leads the other mascots into having their own J/6 where they storm Kellogg headquarters. Jon Hamm and John Slattery reprise their roles from MadMen and give them an advertising pitch where they tell them to make the brand more erotic. Jon Hamm also implies that he can make Melissa McCarthy cum. There are some other examples, but those are the most memorable. When they’re not relying on modern references, anything original they come up with is just weird. Peter Dinklage plays the leader of a group of milk-men that function as mobsters shaking down people for money. Chef Boyardee and the creator of Sea-Monkeys become a gay couple to raise a lab grown pasta monster that almost ruined Kellogg’s reputation. Like I said, they’re just capitalizing off a trend with this movie, and so all of the payoffs have to do with surprise celebrity appearances, in your face references not befitting the timeframe, and nonsensical shit happening. When you don’t have a vision or greater motivation put in to making a movie, it really shows. It has the most cancerous cast ever. Amy Schumer isn't funny, no one likes her, but she continues to get work. A real mystery. Even when she appears in decent films like The Humans (2021) her role wasn’t complicated and any competent actress could give a performance like hers. But even then that film worked because it utilized how unlikable she is. The same can be said of Melissa McCarthy. Instead of having a "Oh no Melissa McCarthy's acting chops are wasted yet again" review for the thousandth time can we just be honest with ourselves that she’s just not that good to begin with? Jerry Seinfeld himself cannot act to save his life. Every line from him feels completely phoned in. Make no mistake, even without any self-awareness Seinfeld still has a point. We’ve had the Barbie movie, we’ve had the Doritos movie, we’ve had the Blackberry movie, we’ve had the Air Jordans movie, we’ve had the Beanie Baby movie, we’ve had the Tetris movie, now we have a breakfast pastry movie. Creativity is so goddamn bankrupt in Hollywood in terms of what they prioritize that we’ve entered this corporate cocksucking era of "cinema" where full blown commercials for products are now the norm. If there’s one thing we can give credit to Seinfeld for, it’s highlighting that this trend can’t even be enjoyed in an ironic sense anymore. But it speaks volumes that when making a movie his vision only goes as far as current trends allow for. The guy is a billionaire. He could finance a movie entirely by himself. He could make whatever he wants and hire the most talented people in the world. He could make his own Dune adaptation and still be filthy rich. Instead he makes lazy shit that amounts to nothing more than glamorized commercials. It doesn’t really matter what side of the culture war conflict you’re on, we should all at least agree that Seinfeld is a damn hack who made a stupid movie that he didn’t put any effort into, and is now going on an interview tour making excuses by saying that anyone who doesn’t like it just doesn’t have a sense of humor. Unfortunately for Seinfeld, the reality is that he just isn’t funny. 1/10 submitted by Calm_Extreme1532 to YMS [link] [comments] |
