The "Golden Age of Ornamental Penmanship", from 1850 to 1925, was a unique period in American calligraphic history. Beautiful penmanship was the rule of the day, and the flexible pointed pen was king.

2024.05.31 10:11 No-Client4232 Best Way to Improve Already Good Handwriting

Hi All: I see a ton of information about how to learn good handwriting (Spencerian/Palmer) if you dont already know cursive or have decent handwriting. However I'm one of the lucky few that learned cursive in elementary school and my cursive is my grasp of it is decent. I am looking for advice on best way to improve even further, mainly adding some modern flair to my capital letters and just having something stylistically better than just normal cursive. Do people still recommend doing the Spencerian or Palmer exercises to improve on the basics and then by default my handwriting will get even more uniform and I will have better motor skills to improve even further? I have no problem doing the basic stuff to get better but just wanna know if that's the most efficient path.
Sorry if this is a silly question, it just seems like a lot of it is actually even to learn to write in cursive in the first place, so if I can bypass or not waste me time on this, but there is a resource that would be more efficient for my particular need (style, flair, capital letters). Not trying to be a calligrapher, just want my everyday writing to be fun, uniform and extend my skills.
I do write with fountain pens...pilot 743 sf in this case.
Thanks in advance.

2024.05.31 05:55 kindbutclever I got asked to copy another seller

I sell sashes and I have a custom sashes listing, in which people usually choose their text, font and color. In the description I tell them they can DM me for something more special/specific, and someone dmed me with a picture. It’s another sash with the text they want. At first I told them I could do it because taught it was a Pinterest/youtube DIY, but it then I looked it up on Etsy and found the exact listing with the sash. I make mine 10.89 and theirs was 17.89+, so I guess they came to me to copy it because I did it for cheaper. But I told them I couldn’t do it. I don’t really want advices because I’m just not gonna do it, I kinda wanted to share because I can’t believe customers would actually do that. They even hid the listing and cropped the pic. Also, would you contact the OG seller? What would you tell them?
Update: I told the customer I could only do one simplified version, sent them a mockup, they said they didn’t like it, they sent me fonts they wanted which both were made by another person so I told them I couldn’t use them, sent another mockup, then they changed their request from bubble letters to cursive, I told her my listing already had a cursive choice and they said “but I don’t like it. I don’t think this is going to work out. Thanks for trying” so I lost 2 days of doing mockups trying to get what they’d like and they were mad I couldn’t do exactly what they wanted/what the other shop did. But I would NEVER copy another shop or steal a font. I also contacted the other shop telling them maybe they should put a watermark on their image so others shop the buyer might contact might see it and deny the request.

Amazon Tattoo Machine Churn Out. Not Mine.
It's supposed to be a flower I guess ?
This comes after the "artist" already posted a photo of a mispelled tattoo they did. It said, "Let Then." When the wrong spelling was pointed out to this "artist," they said, "No, that's how a cursive letter M is written." (It was, unmistakably, a cursive letter N, that they had miffed up and missed the 3rd mound on.)

Anyone else in Cali wrap their plate?
had a high quality wrap done on mine. for people not from here, the standard “legacy” plates have stamped block lettering for the “california”, as opposed to this mimicking the standard cursive of the basic plate. the yellow on these is also more reflective. i’ve seen some wild combos out here. mine seems mellow in comparison, and people rarely get fucked with.

2024.05.30 21:18 chonkshonk RESPONSE: Refutation a moderator from 'AcademicQuran' makes an enormous blunder

After stumbling across two old posts targeting me (I avoid direct linking to prevent brigading but the title of those posts is reflected in my post title), I thought I'd dismantle them, their representation of my comments, and their discussion of the sources they mention.
A question I discussed with an apologist in the past is if Jahiliyyah narratives are correct in depicting the Jahiliyyah as largely illiterate. The apologist claims the "Jahiliyyah" only refers to late pre-Islamic Arabia (though many traditionalist definitions put it much further back). For the sake of argument, we'll look at literacy in the late pre-Islamic Hijaz. During this conversation, I brought up a statement made by Ahmad Al-Jallad:
The abundance of written records in Arabia suggests that writing was widespread among both settled people and nomads (Figure 7.2); however, its function among both groups was quite different. Macdonald (2009: vol. 1; 2010) established an important distinction between literate societies and non-literate societies based on the role of writing for the functioning of society. Ancient South Arabia exemplifies a literate society. Its officials set up thousands of public inscriptions, recording their deeds, dedications to deities, legal decrees, and so on. The existence of public inscriptions, however, cannot stand as witness to widespread literacy among the general population, as they reflect the work of professional scribes and highly skilled masons. As Stein has pointed out, the wording of even the most personal letters suggests that the sender did not compose the text himself himself, and that recipients were not expected to read them. To explain this, he hypothesized the existence of scribal centres where documents were composed on the behalf of their authors. On the other hand, Macdonald draws our attention to another category of inscriptions in South Arabia that intimates widespread knowledge of reading and writing graffiti. Unlike commissioned inscriptions, graffiti are informal works of individual expression, and as such, must be carved by the author. The existence of thousands of graffiti in South Arabia, always composed in the monumental and only rarely the minuscule script, suggests that a sizable segment of the population could employ writing for informal purposes. The use of the monumental script rather than the day-to-day script of the wooden sticks could have been symptomatic of the medium and need not imply that knowledge of the minuscule hand was more restricted. The evidence for the major oasis towns of North and West Arabia is not as plentiful. Nevertheless, after a close and skillful analysis of the material, focusing mainly on the appearance of inforrmal letter forms and ligatures in the inscriptions, Macdonald concluded that the settled populations of these areas also belonged to literate societies and, as in South Arabia, large segments of the population knew how to write, and presumably, read (2010: 9 –15). (Al-Jallad, "The Linguistic Landscape of Pre-Islamic Arabia," pp. 116–117)
Takeaways:
The apologists response was to this reference was to assure me that Al-Jallad (the worlds top authority in this field) is misunderstanding the earlier work of MacDonald (keep in mind that MacDonald was Al-Jallad's mentor and they're in direct contact with each other). He says MacDonald's real opinion is that "Arab culture was in all important respects fundamentally oral" — just like in the Tuareg tribe (!), where the ability to write is widespread but only employed for informal purposes. He goes on and on — but as it turns out, Stephen Shoemaker made the same mistake as this apologist did in his book Creating the Quran. For this reason, we turn to a correction from another paper: Marijn van Putten: "The Development of Hijazi Orthography," Millennium (2023). This is a major and original study demonstrating pre-Islamic Hijaz was a "literate" society in MacDonald's sense:
a number of idiosyncrasies ... all point to a single conclusion: Not only has the Arabic script had a long and storied history, it is clear that there was a formalized system of scribal practice with significant sophistication and idiosyncrasy that must have been present and developed already in the pre-Islamic period. This challenges the notion that the pre-Islamic Hijaz was a “non-literate” society as for example Stephen Shoemaker would have it.⁷⁰ Neither the Quran, nor the pre-Islamic inscriptions of the centuries leading up to the rise of Islam, show the kind of ad hoc non-literate literacy as one sees among the Tuareg or may hypothesize for the nomadic pre-Islamic Arabic writers that employed the Safaitic script. Instead, there was a formalized scribal practice that required formal education to properly execute according to the existing norms.⁷¹ (pp. 125-126)
So Van Putten finds that the late pre-Islamic Hijaz was literate and Van Putten is clear that his conclusion is meant in terms of MacDonald's categorization of a literate society and not just widespread ability to write but only employed for informal purposes like with the Tuareg tribe. Van Putten goes on in fn. 70: "[Shoemaker] cites Michael Macdonald to make this point. But one must stress that Macdonald is not talking about the Hijaz of the 6th century but rather the Nomadic writers in the South Arabian scripts. See Macdonald 2010: 5–28; Shoemaker 2022: 125." In other words, the Tuareg analogy is irrelevant and at best concern nomadic Arab tribes until the 4th century.
The user also made a second post with roughly the same title. He claims I misunderstood Juan Cole's comments about literacy in the late pre-Islamic Western Arabia because Cole was describing Islamic-era 7th century inscriptions. Yet Cole specifically concluded: "the Believers were keeping the suras as parchment or papyrus pamphlets even in the time of the Prophet", implying an established practice of writing already existed. Since the apologist fails to grasp the relevance of these and similar 7th-century inscriptions, I quote fn. 71 of the earlier paper by Van Putten:
One may further note Petra Sijpesteijn’s observation that early Islamic Arabic administrative formulae from the very beginning of Islam are distinct from the Greek ones (even in bilinguals) and are not calques. This seems to suggest an already established administrative practice. See Sijpesteijn 2020: 468.
Al-Jallad similarly says:
Thus, the growing body of pre- Islamic evidence strongly indicates that the use of Arabic for administration in the early Islamic period does not reflect an ad hoc invention, but the continuation of an established tradition of administration in Arabic which must have its origins in North Arabian and Syrian scribal practices. ("The Linguistic Landscape of pre-Islamic Arabia," pg. 119)
From the recent AMA event this subreddit has had with Hythem Sidky, we have the opinion on this subject now by yet another significant expert. I asked Sidky: "What are your thoughts about literacy in the pre-Islamic Hijaz?" Sidky responded:
It's hard to put concrete numbers on it. But based on both the cursive nature of the script itself and the inscriptions, they were literate in the ways the matter. Also, Quranic codices don't strike me as that community's first attempt and producing a book. And if you look at the text of the Quran itself (in contrast to hadith), there are verses that strongly suggest we're looking at a sufficiently literate culture. Emphasis on writing down deeds and contracts, etc..
In another comment, Sidky also wrote: "I think the Meccans had a scribal school."
And that concludes this post. The late pre-Islamic Hijaz was a literate society, so-defined as a society with an established tradition of writing that is employed in fulfilling formal societal functions. Thus, Jahiliyyah characterizations late pre-Islamic Arabia as illiterate or even with MacDonald's category of non-literate are historically inaccurate.

Cursive alphabet attempt
My attempt at making my own alphabet that is cursive, and feels a bit more personal & natural. I love scripts (specifically focused on ones related to magick), but many of these more runic depictions are really difficult for me as I tend to join up my letters and to write each separately is a bit jarring and takes more time.
I think the only fictional script that can be cursive so far I've seen has been Tengwar.
This is a rough draft and any constructive feedback would be wonderful.
I do think the letters e and some others could be simplified, and needs to be neater. ✨

2024.05.30 12:57 gottwolegs Slightly Different Boomer Story

I'm not here to spoil anyone's fun or their cathartic outrage over bad interactions. I enjoy these subs, I suspect, for the same reason most of you do - I'm weary of the bigotry, Xphobia and entitlement I see from the generation before mine as it cracks it's fingernails on the jamb of the exit door. But I'd like to share one different kind of story, if you'll allow. If this isn't welcome here, I understand. But to me it feels an appropriate place.
My(m50) mother (81)passed last December. When Mother's Day rolled by this year I didn't do anything because it was still very raw for me and I don't like putting sob stories up on social media. But I've been thinking about her ever since and there's something I'd like people to know.
I promise there is a point at the end of this.
Mom was born in and grew up on the bayou in South Louisiana. Places that barely had names. Went to school on a boat, tin roofs, wood stoves, gators in the yard, frog gigging for supper…the whole Cajun wet dream.
Like you'd expect, it was hard going at best. Moreso with the home life she was handed. So she quit school and left home at 16. I won't regale you with the details, but I'm sure you can imagine what it was like for her alone in rural Louisiana in the 50’s.
Regardless, she made a life for herself. And all through it she tried to educate herself in both conventional and unconventional ways. She held every job you could imagine. She fought like a dog for everything she had. When she split from my father she basically raised me alone until I turned 13 (when she remarried and had my sister).
I could talk all day about the kind of person she was…what she made of herself. She was simultaneously the most normal and most extraordinary person you could ever meet. But for everything, at her heart, she was always just a country girl. A proud barefoot coonass born in the black mud of the Atchafalaya Basin.
But for every bit of pride she rightfully held in that heritage, there was the dark weight of its history. Her family had been split Catholic on one side and Southern Baptist on the other. And both sides were everything you would expect from the deep south of that era.
She held to the Baptist faith of her mother early on. Though she strayed a number of times over the years, in the end she found her Lord again and spent her last decades devout and dedicated to her beloved one room church.
It is fair to say that she was probably the most measured and liberal of her congregation. But it is also fair to say that in context that didnt mean much to me - a hard left leaning queer artist. We came to hard words many times over the years (always with love and mutual respect) over all kinds of issues.
She was complicated in that way; her heart and her head not always at one with her faith or her history. I had to point out that it didn't matter what her junior high textbook had said, the classifications Caucasoid, Negroid, and Mongoloid were not real science. But when I brought my (now 10+years) partner home for the first time she embraced him like a son. But even with that there was an unspoken discomfort. Not real acceptance but a “I'll accept you despite….” In the end, there was no question of the love and devotion we had for each other. But when it came to her faith and the dogma attached to it, more often than not I found myself on the wrong side of the mule-headed stubbornness that had protected me so much in my youth.
The night of the ‘20 election I was in the hospital and called her from my bed. We chatted for a bit about nothing of any import but somehow landed on the news that she had voted for Trump. I had known that she'd been a lifelong Republican, even long after she stopped caring about politics. We had talked about my frustration and fear during the prior four years and my concern for the future. But I'd never really thought to have a serious conversation with her because I'd been under the assumption she no longer bothered voting.
We had a very hard, very brief conversation that night. In short, I asked her why she supported him. She replied that he was anti-abortion. I asked her if everything we knew about him as a person and leader was worth that one issue. She said yes. I asked if the damage to our political system and country as a whole was worth this one issue. She said yes. I asked her if the safety of her child and his future was worth this one issue. She said yes. Then I said some things that ate a hole in my stomach the rest of the night.
We made up, of course. Both apologized and reaffirmed our mutual love and respect. But neither of us changed our minds and over the next few years conversations weren't the same. Any time anything remotely brushing on politics crept in I would recall the hurt and betrayal I felt and shy away.
Fast forward to November of last year. We were doing the obligatory Thanksgiving call a couple weeks ahead of it. I honestly don't know what changed…why it was that moment. I started to talk about the stress we were feeling in the house. I talked about what it would mean in real terms for us if things went south next election. How we had been having serious talks about where else we might be able to go. About the friends we love who were and still are in danger. About my grief over the soul of my country. Most importantly, I talked about the people gleefully working to make it happen and what it did to me to see someone I loved and respected so much toe their line and speak their words. No anger. No bile. No resentment. I just let it all fall out of me.
When I fished there was a long long pause. Then she simply said, “I'm sorry. This isn't the world I wanted for you.”
I told her how much I loved her. I told her she had made me strong and independent but I had always felt her love at every moment. I told her despite the things about me she didn't agree with or understand, I thought she did the best job imaginable with me and I was so so lucky to be raised by her. My heart aches with gratitude that I said all of it, because it was the last time we talked.
My sister called me at work. Mom hadn't shown up for church and wasn't answering her phone. The landlord opened her door at her request and they found her on the floor. Massive stroke. She was alive but already gone. I flew down the next day just in time to take her off the machines and watch her go.
While the details of her cremation were being handled I volunteered to stay at her apartment to go through her stuff and clean. There was plenty of time so I took all week and I went through everything. Another blessing really because if i’d had to rush I would have missed it.
By the sofa was a pile of old mail I didn't bother with until mid week. In among the bills and bank statements and junk were two pieces of paper in an envelope. One was a listing of candidates and ballot issues for the elections that happened the week she died. Next to certain names she'd noted in her immaculate cursive a “D” and one or two word notes about who they were and their platforms. The other was a letter from the state board of elections confirming her charge of affiliation from Republican to independent.
It took a moment to register what I was seeing and even then I didn't quite believe it. Surely life could not imitate the Lifetime channel so neatly. Even now (especially seeing it written) it feels kinda surreal. But I have the paperwork. It's real. And while I didn't really need any token reminder that my mother loved me, it does stand to remind me that sometimes you can still talk to people. Sometimes people will listen.
I'm not trying to say everyone deserves a million chances. Just talking isn't enough sometimes. Some people are too gone, too sick, too sad to be reached. I know many of you are thinking about how you've talked yourselves blue to your own family, neighbors, etc. I'm not trying to be all gray beard Pollyanna here. Like I said, my mother was exceptional.
I'm just talking about one moment in one life where I thought I'd lost someone to the dark and found out I was wrong. And maybe when you're facing a similar situation it might give you a sliver of hope. Even a sliver can be enough light to find your patience and compassion when you're in the world's jaws.
Thanks for making it this far, those of you who did.

2024.05.30 04:55 Kride46 26M US (kinda)

Hello,
I am 26M that is currently stationed in Japan on my wife's orders. I served ~5 years myself in the USN and am a soon to be father. I'm looking for exclusively snail mail and post cards as I would like to get more use out of my fountain pens and put my cursive into more practice, and I enjoy being able to hold on to physical letters and postcards. I have some nerve damage in my back so most of my hobbies and interests are less active by nature. I enjoy cooking, music (jazz, lofi, ambient, rap, and motown-esque oldies are favorites of mine), and playing videogames. When I am feeling better my wife and I enjoy going to museums, shrines, temples, parks, and restaurants. I am also currently going to college for a BA in History and have a cat. Just a disclaimer, I have ADHD and any letters I write are subject to being a bit scattered as far as focus goes. My address is a US address it can just be a bit confusing to people at first because of it's structure being an overseas base.

2024.05.30 04:08 Accetyl_ Just started practicing my handwriting!

Just started practicing my handwriting!
I've been practicing a little and sporadically my handwriting, specially my cursive letters, since I don't use it for a lot of years. I noticed my print letter started to scramble with cursive since I started, G and F mostly and writing in cursive some syllables like "of", that's why I wrote almost 3 different ways for each letter.

2024.05.30 03:26 Typewriterpenpal 28M (US) looking for penpals from anywhere in the world.

Hi, I'm wanting to get more use out of my typewriters, as they tend to collect dust from time to time, and would like to find a few penpals to send type written letters to. I'm interested in snail mail or postcard only as I really enjoy and miss the feeling of opening a letter and taking the time to sit down and read, rather than being on a laptop or phone. Your responses don't have to be typewritten and can even just be printed out from a word document if you'd like. I'm not the most fluent in cursive due to educational gaps in my life but I would love a reason to practice if you prefer to do your writing as such.
I'm an incredibly open minded person and welcome anyone who wants to share a letter or two, even if it is to simply say hello to someone else out there in the world.

2024.05.29 21:06 Historical-Milk-1339 Was Alex Murphy REALLY revived as Robocop in the first movie? I'm starting to think Robo is a separate person.....

If you read the title of this post, then you know I'm asking a question that many of you will most likely find as stupid and say I'm not a real Robocop fan. While I do understand if you think that, I hope you at least let me explain where I'm coming from to give context behind my question and so maybe you can share your take on whether or not this is accurate.
So I have recently watched the first two Robocop movies and played Rogue City for the first time. I'm now familiar with Robocop's origin of Alex Murphy getting injured/killed and has his corpse converted into a cyborg, as well as how the movie ends him remembering who Alex Murphy is as shown when he says his name is "Murphy" at the end of the film. However, there's something that's kinda making me scratch my head after experience the first two movies and the game.....Was Alex Murphy REALLY brought back as Robocop? Are we sure that Robocop really is the same Alex Murphy who was a police officer and family man before he got shot by gangsters?
Now I'm not saying Robocop isn't human at all since he does have human organs and can feel emotions like a person. But I'm not sure if that's really the same as being Alex Murphy and kinda start to wonder if Robocop is actually a completely separate entity who only feels emotions because of the human parts left from Murphy's body. Kinda like how Swamp Thing from DC isn't actually Alec Holland, but was created from Holland's corpse. But what else led me to consider this bizarre theory? Well several things actually.
First is a point that a person who commented on my Robocop 2 review. During the unmasking scene in the first movie, Robocop specifically says "Murphy had a wife and son, what happened to them?" Not what happened to my wife and son. So what this statement is trying to say is when Robocop goes through Alex Murphy's house or remembers his execution, it's not Murphy struggling to remember; it's a computer struggling to explain these memories and emotions that aren't his and he was not programmed to deal with.
Now I'm not sure if I fully agree with this point, which is part of why I'm making this post. However, there is something else that makes wonder if Robocop is a separate being from Alex Murphy and that's actually Rogue City. After thinking about it in hindsight. the game has you make some dialogue choices as to whether Robocop is a human, machine or if he's not sure which. To me, this kinda implies that Robocop could very well be a separate being from Alex Murphy, or at least the old one. This is especially possible to me during the mission where you have glitching hallucinations that leads to Robocop having a psychological confrontation with a ghost of Alex Murphy, which comes off as the two of them not being the same.
Now I'll make it clear that I thoroughly enjoyed Rogue City and I can tell Teyon has a lot of love for the Robocop franchise. But if Robocop really "regained" his humanity at the end of the first movie like everyone says, then how Rogue City tackles his inner self is a little iffy to me. Granted, the people who wrote the first movie can't be blamed for this if it's issue with the lore since they didn't write the game. But considering how the game is meant to be a love letter, I still have to draw attention to it.
So those are things I've observed that makes me wonder if Robocop really is Alex Murphy or not. Also I have to address if what I just said is true in any way, then was it right for Robocop to say his name is Murphy at the end of the first movie if it's not really his? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it's still something I have to wonder. This also can affect criticism against Robocop 2 since I heard it got flack for apparently resetting Robocop's arc, which may be a misconception if my theory is anything to go by.
But maybe you guys could give insight on whether or not this is accurate. I'm expecting to get criticism in case I'm just reading the lore wrong. But know that either way, it doesn't change my positive view on the Robocop franchise. I still really like the first movie and Rogue City and even though the second movie had wasted potential, I did find good stuff in it that could make me rewatch it. So feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
Side note: I was supposed to make my review post for Rogue City today, but felt like this question is really important and had to get it out of the way. But it’ll be ready soon!

2024.05.29 12:18 kristalium_ Is there a correct way to write in cursive?

English is not my main language, and in school no one ever told us how to correctly write in cursive, so the teachers were always fine with my weird mix of cursive and print letters. But recently I stumbled upon an image of english alphabet in cursive and questioned how anyone was ok with my writing. And after some googling I found that some letters have many ways to write them, so I am lost now. Is there any correct way to write in cursive, or the most popular one?

2024.05.29 10:21 JOWQH Varmilo VA100 Goddess Luo Keyboard!

Varmilo VA100 Goddess Luo Keyboard!
Hello everyone! Here is the Varmilo mechanical keyboard, we are so excited to be back here again after many days and share with you our latest work - the VA100 Goddess Luo Keyboard.
(A surprise hides at the end, welcome to participate~)
The Goddess Luo keyboard is a unique masterpiece that blends classical Chinese literature with cutting-edge keyboard technology. Drawing inspiration from "Luo Shen Fu(Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River)," a poem composed over 1,800 years ago during China’s turbulent Three Kingdoms era by the poet Cao Zhi(Cao Cao's third son), this keyboard pays homage to Goddess Luo—identified as Zhen Ji, celebrated for her beauty and enigmatic presence. To aid Western consumers in appreciating this deep historical and cultural context, we've integrated symbols and text from the poem, reinterpreted through contemporary technology.
Goddess Luo
Excerpt from Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River
Historical Context and Intrigue
Zhen Ji was historically the daughter-in-law of Yuan Shao, an adversary of Cao Cao(the King of Wei Kingdom), and married Cao Pi(Cao Cao's eldest son), Cao Zhi's brother, after Yuan Shao's defeat. Goddess Luo is one of the most beautiful goddesses in ancient Chinese mythology. Cao Zhi compared Zhen Ji to her to praise Zhen Ji’s beauty and purity. Though "Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River" is Cao Zhi's lyrical tribute to Zhen Ji's beauty, the poet and Zhen Ji were never united, weaving a tale of unrequited love into the poem’s narrative.

Keycap Design and Scroll-Style
· Overall Color and Material: Inspired by Jin Dynasty aesthetics of "purity" and "simplicity," the Goddess Luo Keyboard employs a pale aqua reminiscent of light bamboo leaves, symbolizing tranquility and depth, in line with the serene and mystical aura of the Goddess Luo. The keycaps are made from durable PBT material to ensure the longevity of text and designs.
Jin Dynasty: Han Fu
· Scroll-Style: The keyboard is crafted to emulate the form of ancient Chinese scrolls, unfolding from right to left, linearly presenting the story and poetic imagery of "Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River." This layout aligns with traditional Chinese writing and reading directions and allows users to progressively engage with the poem's narrative and aesthetics.

· 6.25U Spacebar
The pattern on the spacebar depicts the parting scene of the poet and Goddess Luo. Flying fish guarded Goddess Luo, six Loongs pulled her cloud carts, whales leaped on the sides of the convoy, and birds circled. After a brief meeting, the two were forced to separate, which the poet regretted very much.

· Left Shift
The keycap pattern on the left together restores the description of the graceful stance of the goddess Luo in the poem. Sometimes she raised her sleeves and looked into the distance, standing there for a long time; sometimes she floats like a flying bird, sometimes she walked on the water waves, and the water splashed by her socks was like tiny dust.

Integration of Chinese and English Characters
The letter area combines Chinese and English characters, where each Chinese character originates from "Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River," and their initials correspond to the respective English letters, such as "其" (qí) for "Q". Additionally, these characters are styled in semi-cursive and regular script, popular during the Wei and Jin dynasties. Regular script was the preferred choice for official documents and scholarly works due to its orderly appearance, while semi-cursive was favored in personal correspondence and informal documents for its speed and artistic flair.
