I graduated in 2019 and worked for an year as a Product Dev Engineer and resigned for my job to prepare for UPSC from 2020-2023. After 3 failed attempts at UPSC, I thought to take a break and get a job. But, due to job markets and limited openings for my skills in Mech design I could not end up in job. Later, in mid September, I decided to write CAT in 2 months and got 93.32. Got calls from IIT K, IMT G, TAPMI, FORE, GIM. I ended with IMI Delhi and FORE as the only converts.
My Profile: GEM with 9/9/8 (1 year worked in an automobile company).
Extra curricular: 3 years worked in large-scale NGO in leadership and strategy roles (Probono), Design patent, 2 international awards in global SAE competition held in USA.
In Jan-Feb, I panicked a bit and planned to apply for my master's as well. Wrote my IELTS and GRE. And submitted my applications for Mech Engineering (Research-oriented) in Purdue and UW Washington and as backup applied for Industrial Engineering at North Eastern Univ, Boston. Writing SOPs for each college and getting LORs took a lot of time. I submitted my application in April end. As expected got rejects from Purdue and UW. However, got admitted for Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering in NEU.
My passion, workex, patent everything lies in Mech Design. But, I could not land those colleges in the USA. NEU Industrial Engineering is kinda safe bet where I would land up in Supply chain and operations role. But, it isn't something I crave to do or passionate about. Conversely, I am a bit skeptical of taking up IMI Delhi although would love to do an MBA if given a chance in a good college.
Iam gonna be 27 in 6 months and I don't know its kind of irking a bit and make me feel like a failure who made a huge mess in his life. Most of my friends around are extremely doing well (Went to top univ in USA, Tier 1 colleges in India, or having 4 years workex in damn good roles in India). So, its adding me extra pressure to level up with them. Iam bit scared amidst all these confusions. I feel like taking one more year to make things better applying for colleges early and preparing for CAT again. But, I don't have a job and Iam in my home all day. Its kinda making me sluggish in front my parents and if anyone asks me what I am up to I get totally uncomfortable and ashamed. Sometimes feels like giving up to pressure and settle down. Other end, feels like to fight again for one more year.

Can any senior tell if they've got admission is any colleges in mumbai via hindi minority?if yess pls share the details

I am in final yr from Mumbai University which has around 700+ clgs under it. We still have exams going on and won't get results before August.
Now the IIM Am admission committee has asked us to get a provisional certificate by June end. This is only possible when results come.
Now they are saying the admission will be revoked if I don't submit it by June end which is highly impossible. All I can do is get an undertaking in college letter head saying student is eligible and will get the result soon. This is the condition of majority of the freshers who got the admission. Why are they refusing this too?

Okay hear me out please. I am just feeling messed up. GEM, 26 y.o.
So I had this group of friends (outside of UG college group). We all kept talking about our future while hanging out so I once I told one of them (let's call him guy X) in secrecy that I really wanted to go for an MBA and that I took an exam once...scored 94%ile but didn't get anything good so I decided to take work ex (I had gotten a really good profile job).
Things happened and I took the exam again last year. Because of not having a job due to lay offs, I bummed out my scores in CAT. XAT went good but didn't get XLRI. NMAT went great. Ultimately the best call I had was NMIMS Mumbai.
Now that group of friends started pinging me if I got IIM A or was my studying at home and not partying with them just for a couple months was all in vain?? They are into terrible partying habits because they all have to sneak out of their homes once in a while to do dangerous stuff (the very same weekend I had to take my mocks). One more reason I cut ties with them coz they weren't like this before. Now guy X also took the exam (didn't score anything well except for VARC. He got a call from college Y which is not even good. And this flew him to cloud 9 and his total behaviour changed towards me. He started mentioning it to me everytime he talked how easily he cracked that college without doing shit. If he had studied he could have done wonders. He also broke my secrecy vow and gave everyone my information, literally everything. Hence those IIM A mockery questions. Ofc I knew IIM A was next to impossible, but I was wanting to make it to SPJ or something. Although I never shared it with anyone.
Now those academically challenged dumbasses (one guy failed physics paper in 12th boards) have totally changed their behaviour towards me. Guy X even had the audacity to say NMIMS is meh...... while he himself was burning his ass trying to convert College Y which half of India doesn't even know about. We used to be such good friends but their attitude towards me have changed so much and I have no freaking idea why.
After knowing them all those years, the good old friendship turning bitter is depressing for me. Specially the way it is fading - by mocking me despite doing mediocre jobs themselves and not caring for their own ambitios. P.S : Guy X who claims he cracked the college without studying, literally used to take help from me in quant and couldn't solve basic math. Let alone NM Mumbai, he didn't even get calls from Hyderabad or Indore or something... whichever has the lowest cutoff.
I had started moving past it but now suddenly I saw a friend of mine who had taken an exam with me in my final year of college, scoring almost the same percentile that time.... getting into IIM L. I felt so devastated because I have a medical issue of anxiety and I take meds and it still always fucks me up during certain stressful situations. My scores in TIME mocks were really good. My family knows about my issues as I have a long standing history of it. But the things happening around me is killing my remaining college excitement and pulling me down. I got shortlisted for the TAS Invictas Business Simulation competition but instead of doing that I am feeling down. 3 days back too, a female friend of mine commented on my other male friend in front of me (that guy is also very talented and cracked IIM Indore HR before) that "itna padh kr bhi itni hi percentile laaye?" This girl is very close to me but studied from a tier 2 engineering college and doing a mediocre frontend IT job. Had JEE rank in lakhs, and never even sat for a competitive exam apart from that. Literally boards percentage also dangling at 75 and almost failed chemistry in that too. This is the same girl who I called after I was extremely upset on the day of CAT, and she still said this in front of me in my own farewell party! GUYS AM I AN EMOTIONAL FOOL? PLEASE BE HONEST.
Why is everyone passing sly comments around me when all they do is be stuck in their own sad lives? And most importantly, even if NMIMS wasn't my top priority BSchool, why are they deliberately defaming the college after knowing I'm excitedly going there tmrw and going to start a new phase in life?

I am coming to Mumbai to my mba from NMIMS, and have rented a 2 bhk with 3 other friends at Andheri west (all 4 guys), now I looked for some maids for cleaning and cooking and they are charging ₹3,000 per work for cleaning (jhaadu and pocha), and ₹6,000 for cooking (veg) (1 time), we'll be at college from morning till evening 5pm, sometimes even late, so will probably only need a cook for dinner. Now the issue is that I feel that these prices are absurd, in my city the prices are 700 per work and 2k-2.5k for cooking one time.
Can you guys please let me know are these usual prices and how can I find proper maids for these stuff.

I am getting a very popular tier 2.5 college in navi mumbai in mechanical fr Angels and worst case S.I.E.S in navi mumbai in mechanical both colleges are well known here and have decent placements so back to the point i will be taking mechanical in either colleges if my luck fails then sies or agnels if i am lucky so can i sit for cse placements cuz i m scared as hell i am interested in mechanical (cuz i like machines , engines and stuff) but my dad says there is no growth in this field and if i get intrested in coding then can i sit for placements in cse
Also is college and jee prep manageable at the same time

Hello guys, my sister has scored 93.37 in Maharashtra mba cet. She haa a 2 year gap and now she want to pursue mms/mba. So can anyone suggest good mms colleges in mumbai & pune at this percentile. She did get a call from Isbs pune but the fees for pgdm is too much. Also Can anyone tell me about management quota in Mms colleges? Need help.
