Hey, Im building a pc for my grandpa and I have a problem as you can see in the video my CPU fan isnt staying on, it also isnt booting the pc. (For anyone asking why the specs are bad he needs the pc to only boot windows XP and vista).
I have this problem for a while now and i have replaced everything (The motherboard, CPU, Cooling fan, RAM and the powersupply) but the problem still occurs every time i try to boot it.

Motherboard: Asrock H370M-HDV LGA 1151 (H4) ATX
PSU: be quiet! system power 450W
RAM: Team Group t-force vulcan z 1 x 8GB DDr4 3600 MHz

But I am kind of stuck now and i dont know what is causing it or what i should do to fix it.
So advice would be much appreachiated to end this nightmare.

2024.06.01 14:15 cashlezz This game's combat is wasted on Tower and suggestion to improve it

Wuthering Waves' main selling point is its very fluid and high skill ceiling combat. It's best showcased in skill based boss fights or high lvl enemies that really allow you to make use of its parry/perfect dodge mechanic and a lot of skill expression. The hologram fights and red overworld enemies are some of the best combat on mobile, or pc even by far.
Then come the main endgame mode, Tower of Adversity, and 90% of it is timed swarm challenges where hoards of mobs come at you that don't really require any skill to beat. All it is is a dps check. There are the occasional solo bosses, but most of the time it's just hoards of hp sponge trash mobs. You don't even need to dodge properly or parry. Just spam skill ults, rotate, spam skill ult, rotate.
The mode copies Genshin so much that it loses Wuwa very unique identity and is a further misopportunity for players to engage with the intricate combat. While DPS checks are easy way to gate progression and compell players to keep upgrading their characters, it is done so poorly with boring hp sponge mobs that offer zero anticipation or excitement. Whenever you clear a stage, it feels like you've managed to finish a chore, rather than attaining a sense of triumph. This is also why I stopped doing abysss on Genshin and eventually quit. Because,at some point, it's just not fun anymore playing Dynasty Warrior simulator
Instead, I propose a change to to tower where DPS checks instead become more skill based. That you have to play well to earn the current bonus.
I propose a system where you:
  1. Stop the in game clock, or even gain time, for every instance you perform a perfect dodge or parry.
  2. Breaking the enemy's vibration bar would also slow the timer during its duration as well.
  3. There should also be a diverse range of 3 star clear requirement aside from just time, ranging from not getting hit over x times and parry over x times for boss stages.
  4. Furthermore, I propose that normal enemy hp be reduced, but aggro be increased to allow for a more intense experience and more opportunities to make use of the parry and dodge mechanics. this would also help with mobs feeling less like pointless hp sponges.
This way, players who play really well, but are just lacking that little bit of stat can still scrape by through skill, while whales who are already steamrolling can still benefit by incentivising them to actually play well, instead of just doing ult spam like Genshin.

This build is an excellent, good performance, miniITX-microATX build! The parts I've researched are takend from PCPartPicker. !It doesn't have any any aesthetic, because of the case being all black/white, with no see-through side panels, the build will pe black/white.
*The CPU cooler is included in the CPU pack, but a cheap alternative is an option...
I will upgrade the RAM if needed to a better 2 x 8GB or even a 2 x 16 if worth, bc I will do some home work, school projects and light gaming.

Dear community,
For the last couple of months Iā€™ve been playing Cyberpunk (Steam for PC) on and off, trying different mods as well. But at a certain point, the game didnā€™t register my playtime anymore and Steam overlay wasnā€™t working anymore. Iā€™ve seemed to fix that (had something to do with restrictions and automatically starting as administrator), but the true warrior achievement (100 melee kills) doesnā€™t want to pop and I canā€™t see progress. I tried a lot of things, I probably have 500+ kills with different weapons and on top of that I manually counted:
Without cyberware: - 105 kills Mantis blades (physical damage) - 104 Kills Hammer (stun + crit + armor penetration)
I avoided effects like burn and electrical damage. So I donā€™t think the achievement doesnā€™t show up because of the weapons I used. Mods I use are mostly for graphics (better vehicle lights, body mods, etc + CyberEngineTweaks)
  1. Could it be that during the period Steam overlay didnā€™t work that the achievement popped and Iā€™ve now gone past 100, so it is broken? 2a. Would it work to just create a new game? 2b. Or do I have to delete my save, uninstalled the game and other things? I would like to keep my save, since itā€™s kinda nostalgic.
  2. Is there a command in CyberEngineTweaks that could reset the melee kills counter?
  3. Any other solution that could work? Things on the internet donā€™t work from what I could find.

Hey guys, I just bought this game, and in general, I like many aspects of it, but the incredibly bad turning animations destroy the whole immersion. Whenever I turn the characters to the left or to the right, it is a completeley broken, stuttering animation. I am playing on Xbox Series X, but on Steam, I saw that also the PC version seems to have this issue.
I don't understand why they do not fix it. And I also don't understand how it could pass their internal QA with that bug. It's such an atmospheric game (or wants to be), that suffers terribly from this problem.
What's your opinion on this buggy and defective turning animation?

I was going to build a pc for around 1200ā‚¬ (Don't really want to spend that much) but decide to see what i could get on marketplace. My current pc was build in 2016, albeit with some upgrades down the line. It works fine and can do basicaly everthing i ask it to, just slowy and maybe not the most smooth.
I work doing webdev so I wont need anthing super powerfull in that aspect, and in terms of gaming its mainly just Fifa, F1 and the odd warzone.
The seller wants 800 but hoping to get him down to 700, it was allegedly bilt around Christmas time.
In his words : CPU has been undervolted since the first day, meaning that it does not consume more than 95W and does not exceed 75C"

Ways to use this energy is standard strength and speed by but the power into your muscle fibers and organs to enhance their performance. Matthew can also materialize this power in different ways. He finds out how he can do this by watching others, for example shock waves ,energy tenticals, force fields, laser eyes, power balls, or claws.
With the performance enhancing with his eyes ears and touch, he will become the weave nation president.
He is highly resistant to energy based attacks.
The main weakness is energy drain. I know what y'all probably thinking, "this is like every quirks weakness cause I using your quirk can tire you out", but his quirks energy drain.
When he use his quirk, the energy runs down and if uses a all out attack he loses the energy and cant use his quirk.
But on the good side , this energy grows back over time , and since it's his quirk energy if he goes to where he let out a huge attack, he can absorbed it back. It takes like an hour to get his power back to 100% naturally if he just goes on with his day.
Mutation: * Wolf Ears and Tail: Matthew has permanent wolf-like ears and a tail, got them from his dad.
Also he can share his energy with others to enhance their quirks cause energy works like that I think.

How this works is his power works like a computer l well more like just a normal computer, then a virus AKA and elements infects this power and then it slowly corrupts his powers AKA but there until his body is able to use a different elements,the form is only as strong as his original form because the element can only corrupt what is there,not make more power. A little bit of this energy is still there so that it can take back control. Each form has a mind of its own like some dark shadow type thing. The reason why his forms have minds of their own is cause if I gave him full control his forms he would swap to frequently and that would be two strong.
The reason why he can do this is when he was 3 is quirk was developing and he was exposed to radiation messing with his quirk genes and when his quirk developed it added this.
Hero Costume:
  • Appearance: Matthew's hero costume features a sleek and modern design. It includes a green suit with black accents, symbolizing his main form's green hair and eyes.
  • Symbol: The costume incorporates a stylized emblem combining the symbols of all his elemental forms, representing his fusion abilities.
  • Support Items: Matthew carries specialized bracers that enhance his control over his energy whips. Additionally, he has utility pouches to store various tools and gadgets.
He also has tubes that are like water bottle size on this belt that he charges with his energy every night before he goes to bed in case he runs out of energy himself.
Has a sword made of quirkinite(past post.)
Maximum Output Move: Master Elemental
  • Description: Matthew channels and combines the energies of all his elemental forms into one ultimate attack.
  • Effects: Elemental tattoos appear on his body, symbolizing each element's power. Lightning appears on his head, fire on his chest, water on his left arm, ice on his right arm, light on his left leg, darkness on his right leg, plant on his right shoulder, metal on his left shoulder, and earth on his back. The attack unleashes a devastating and overwhelming burst of elemental energy.
Carrys amounted cannons inspired by Titan speaker man. They harness his power into either energy balls or just flat out lasers.
To make my self clear his max form when he uses all his elements he can only use 1/10 of his forms power including him as the main guy of this whole body.
Moves
Signature move; Packs fist. When Matthew charges his entire arm with power he has the target with a powerful punch, and with the recoil he hits them again so it's like a double punch with one arm.
Normal moves:
Surge. Full cowling but different.
1 Minieye(Minigun eye): Uses his laser eyes as a mini gun to help save power and hit targets with better accuracy.
Ground capture. He uses his tentacles like energy whips by forcing them into the ground and then have to make their way to their opponent grab whatever is touching the ground, and then pull them down to immobilize them.
Field fist. By using his force fields that his energy makes, he shapes them into bigger arms for durability and extra strength.
Power kick. By constantly doing a condtant (front flip like spinjitzu but in disc form and front flip) he sticks his leg out and it hits the target. If the target has high durability the the attack will keep on going like a saw.
Support moves
Force field armor. Covers his body is compressed force field power and where's it like armor. Skin tight but durable. And it see through
Clones wolf. Exposed energy and the compression it to the point it can shape itself into a copy of him and then somehow take color. The two main differences is the clones have a limited power usage, so use too much power it disappears. And in physical design difference the clones eyes are constantly green like glowing green.
Instinct. By enhancing his hearing and touch and his brain process, he can use our off-brand ultra instinct. Laughing his hearing is touch he can feel every movement in the air you can feel everything around him, and he can hear each movement in the air with his ears, and his brain calculates how long it took for the sound to reach his ear then he knows exactly where he attacked her is.
Sword moves.
Excalibur. Three swings, x slash, then stab
Powerful blade. One big vertical slash.
Ultimate Moves.
Max power. Puts all of his power into one part of his body. Arm leg or head, then uses that power in a all out melee attack.
Alpha Surge. This is a super Saiyan like form. His energy propels him as him fly freely. Insane amount of strength, speed, durability, and power.
Single elemental moves. Each form only has three.
Fire :
Blue Star. Increase heat to the fire to the point his color turns blue as hot to the touch, all damage increased.
Fire Fist. His fist as if it was made from flames, the punch is fast and strong, and on impact it's a shockwave of fire.
Jet Drive . For places on his back shoot flames constantly for speed. and then the user does a great fire kick.
Water :
Aqua alpha. Water in a wolf head from bites down on the opponent.
Drowner. Basically a small tsunami the size of a house. Many use for chaos and confusion.
Water jet cutter. You know how the water can put a specific kind of nozzle with high pressure it could be the sharpest thing in the world, and be very dangerous. Well he can do that with the tip of his finger.
Lightning:
Pinpoint thunder. All power goes into his fingertips then he strikes at one spot.
EMP. Self-explanatory. Also works on people.
Power ground. Covers the floor in electricity.
Earth :
Earthquake. Also self-explanatory.
Crystal quake. Creates rocky spikes around the area and also as crystals to them. Depending on the crystal you have different effects, quarts will make all electric attacks go to the spikes cars quarts are conductive.
Earth wall. Makes a durable wall.
Ice:
Constant shards. Smg but ice bullets.
Domain expansion, Arctic area. Covers just about the entire area with ice, giving the user just about full control over where he is fighting.
Ice capture. Traps you point it in a giant ice crystal.
Plant:
Domain expansion, Jungles Forest. Creates. A lot of trees and plants to take control of the area.
Golem. Creates a big beast made of wood and plants.
Spear. Covers his arms with wood and vines in a sharp spear.
Metal:
Weaponry. Grabs a lot of mail and constantly makes different weapons depending on the situation, maybe even a shield.
Iron spike. Crates constant metal spikes in front of the user.
Armor. Makes armor around allies.
Light:
Beam. A big ah laser.
Bounce back. Constantly reflects off objects confusing the enemy.
Bang. Just a stun grenade, but it's coming from his hands.
Darkness.
Warper. One name, kirogiri.
Consume. Absorb things into the darkness.

Tempest Devastation
Matthew summons torrents of water that he infuses with electrical currents He then unleashes a violent maelstrom of electrified, crushing waves
Radiant Implosion
Matthew focuses beams of light energy, bending them with dark shadow tendrils He compresses the luminous orb, creating an imploding singularity of blinding power
Verdant Tangle Matthew interweaves thorned vines with solidified metal shards His grasping, spiked tendrils ensnare and impale anything they catch

This form it's only as powerful as Dekus 100%. He can just access this all the time. He needs to have a lot of power and needs total concentration.
PERSONALITY
He's smart nice in a way sometimes a prankster if you try to roast him you will go complete PackGod on you, if he's in a bad mood don't try to comfort him you'll just make things worse and not for him for you, he's really cocky, but not bakugo cocky hes just a bit over confident. He is very creative. He loves tech to the point if you break a 30 buck phone around him, let's just say you gonna want to do a crime in front of batman before Matthew finds you.

2024.06.01 12:08 BL4CKL3R Artifacts suddenly appear in Games when Second monitor starts playing videos

Hi All,
I hope people can help me solve this issue.
While playing mindless games like WoW, Diablo, etc. I like to watch videos on my 2nd Monitor. Unfortunately, every now and again, it seems to be causing weird artifacts on my Main monitor. It usually happens like this.
I'm in Game, doing whatever I'm doing. I then go to my 2nd monitor load Netflix/YouTube/Insert Streaming Service here and start watching something. I then click back to my game and both monitors flicker as if changing resolution or input and come back quickly but now my main monitors game is artifacted and almost looks like its corrupted in some fashion (Text is illegible, certain on screen UI assets are discoloured and cannot be clicked like for example settings/menu as if I'm not clicking in the right area on screen).
To solve this I'm forced to close my game, reload it and after that it's fine, however, I should point out that my main monitor is also HDR and it goes from being "vibrant and crisp" to being "washed out and dull" until I restart my PC.
So I Checked and HDR is still ticked in the Display Settings insinuating its on, but what I see says otherwise.
I've tried the following:
I'm slightly concerned it's my GPU getting ready to burn out. Which I REALLY hope it isn't.

GPU: MSI RTX 3080 Suprim
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D

2024.06.01 11:03 Floxow Used PC Build, what do you think?

Hey guys, after IĀ“ve been away from PC gaming and building a PC for quite some time I got the itch and bought a used, prebuild PC. I payed 320ā‚¬/~350$ for the whole package, let me know what you think!
What I already did:
The RAM was showing clock speed of 1067 MHz in HWiNFO, so I turned on XMP and now itĀ“s showing 1600MHz, so it seemed to work although I donĀ“t really know what XMP does :D
Overall IĀ“m pretty happy with this PC, itĀ“s running smooth and silent.
IĀ“m playing in 1080p 60Hz. IĀ“m playing The Outer Worlds on Ultra and I get 90 - 120 FPS, with some drops to 70 - 80 FPS when IĀ“m outside.
The main type of games IĀ“ll be playing are: The Outer Worlds, Fallout 4, Cities Skylines, Kerbal Space Program, Space Engineer, Minecraft,.. you get the idea, not the newest of new but somewhere in the middle. Although IĀ“d like to be able to play a more modern game when I want to.
Games IĀ“d like to play in the future:
My question is: Do you think the price is okay, including the CPU update? What would be the first piece of hardware you would upgrade? Do you think a better monitor would be step up, before any more hardware upgrades?

2024.06.01 10:37 Impossible-Poem-6615 Streamer X no ouput

My streamer X isn't creating a speaker output within windows and Im not able to hear anything from web browsers, games, or discord. Although my microphone has an input label (Microphone X Main) in windows and works. Im only seeing my monitors outputs. The only way I can get audio to pass from my PC to my headset is through the Unify software which sounds bad. I can only hear the microphone monitoring and sound pads. I've played two alch games this patch and had some success, but I've been watching a lot of high MMR alch replays to get a good sense of how this hero wants to build his early advantage. Here's what I've seen and the potential builds the hero should go:

I'm not really sure if there's any other options for this hero honestly, the first two builds is what I see on d2protracker, and the last one is just one I've theorised myself but yet to test out. What are you guys doing on alch this patch, anything different from what I've mentioned?

XDefiant just dropped and for some reason when I play my frames are at like 60-120 when my friends with worse builds do not have this issue. I am quite new to PC so troubleshooting is not my specialty but I want to learn to fix the problem.

2024.06.01 09:41 Wise-Judgment-4347 Am I the asshole if I refuse to go home because I think I might commit suicide if I do.

I'll be leaving uni for home in a few days time, but I just got off the phone after talking with my parents and siblings and had felt triggered about the past 2 years and how I almost commited suicide because of all the stress and pressure of putting up with what had transpired. For context, I'm 24 (F) in my last year of uni, and I have two brothers 30(M) and (5M) who live with my parents (Both in their late 50's), who live in the country side. I had been diagnosed with heart disease when I was in highschool and since then things have been tough for me, with losing all my weight and having to go through three different schools just to complete high school because of my health, but since then I have got the hang of taking care of myself and my symptoms, I have gained weight, made it to uni (which was a suprise not only to myself but my teachers as well) and am almost done with uni, and I could not be prouder. However, this past week has been a roller coaster, with thoughts of committing suicide lurking in every corner, I didn't know why at first but after talking to my parents on the phone bits of memories came flooding back to me about how I thought I reached my point of living and that my heart was gonna give out any moment or that it would be better if I'd just off myself with that sharp knife in the corner by slitting my wrists open. You see, my mum had this really bad lung infection the Christmas of 2022 while I was home for the holidays, and I took on most of the responsibility of taking care of her from 5am in the morning to the next morning where I'd sleep at 3am after ensuring she was okay, then wake up to do it all again. Don't get me wrong, I loved taking care of my mum, it made me happy that I could be there when she was at her weakest to lend her the strength and care she deserved after taking care of me all these years. It all happened one afternoon when my brother has come home afted being gone all day and did not even receive an earful from my parents (or mainly my dad) like I did for being out for just 2 hours to unwind from taking care of my mum and nursing her back to health all while not having any contact with friends or the outside world then our yard for almost 2 months, I was called selfish by my dad and told that my actions were stupid that if my mum would die I'd look stupid crying for her just like my mum's sister who chose to go out and meet friends the day her father died, that I was supposed to be at home with mum taking care of her. My dad is a stay at home dad, my older brother dropped out of college and my mum is the sole bread winner of the family. While my mum was sick, my dad would get groceries, attend to church meetings, ensure the yard was kept clean lend a hand when it was needed with caring for mum while my brother ate, slept on time, had time to meet friends, throw his plates in the sink without washing them and not lending a hand with helping mum. Meanwhile I spent my days bathing her, dressing her, feeding her, massaging her body, changing her hot water in her mugs to ensure she stayed hydrated because that's all she could drink without coughing , cleaning her sleeping area and sanitizing it everytime she had to go to bed after a warm bath as well as watching over her as she slept to ensure her pillows were placed in a way that didn't obstruct her airflow all while also ensuring that everyone's laundry was done and put away, food was cooked and served, plates were washed and put away, my little brother was cared for also while doing part of my dad's work around the house to ensure he got enoughg sleep at night, since we lived by the country side there were a lot of chores to do around the house as most of the things were done manually or by hand. I did this until she got back on her feet and was able to do little things around the house without my help. After a week or two when my mum had improved told my parents that I'll be gone the next day after lunch to see my friend and that normally before mum got sick Friday was a free day for me that I get an off day of doing house work. So the day came, I dressed up (I felt pretty after not being able to do that in a whole) and left after ensuring that my big brother was home to assist mum whenever she needed and also checked on my mum to see if she was okay and that she didn't need my help before I stepped out of the house at 2pm. The walk to my friend's house felt like heaven, with sun in my face, the breeze on my face and the skip in my step. I spent the afternoon talking, laughing and having a good time with my friend before going home at 5pm, happy and satisfied that the day had brought me so much joy and relieved my stress. I got and came in with a big Hello, to everyone in the house, my dad didn't say anything, he just sat there looking so mad. And that's when he proceeded to call me selfish and compare me to my mother's sister all while my mother and brother sat there saying nothing, I atleast thought they would've spoken up to say that I needed the break, but they didn't. I cried as ai stood there listening to my dad utter out harsh words until I couldn't listen to him anymore. I proceeded muster up a less shaky voice and said the following "I apologies for going out to see my friend and I apologies mum and dad it won't happen again, but the thing is I needed this, after taking care of mum and the house I just needed a break. My brother gets to go out, meet friend and talk to them and even stay out till late but he never gets scolded but when I do it's different. I do everything in this house, I take care of mum, wash all of your clothes, cook the food, feed you all and even wash up after everything and you big brother can't even wash your own plate or lend a hand. Oh and dad I spend the time I get after mum finally rests during the day to do some of your chores to cut down the amount of time you spend doing them in order for you to get a good night's rest and I go to sleep early in the morning just to wake up after 2 hours and do it all again. So I'm sorry that I had to go out, but I really needed it." After saying all that, I went up to my room and cried the whole night. The next morning I came downstairs at 10am to find my dad washing up and my mum on her phone, it was a quiet day, I thought my brother was in his room, then the we got heard that he had actually left in the morning to go visit my aunt who is a 30 minute drive from our house, where he spent the day hanging out with friends and cousins before coming back home at 6pm with my grandma who came to spend a week with us. My dad upon hearing the news that my brother was had left in the morning just shook his head and said that my brother should have stayed and lend a hand around the house, but after my brother got back I was hoping he'd get the same scolding my dad gave me, well that never happened. I went to my mum and asked her why wasn't daddy scolding my big brother and she did not say anything so I spoke up and said aloud, "wow, so I get a scolding for staying out for just 3 hours but he gets to stay out for an entire day without helping out around here and he gets welcomed home?" I then went to my room because I didn't want them to see the tears that started to fall, then it hit me when I was in my room crying, everything that happened over the years on how differently I was treated, my accomplishments my birthday's and even my sickness. It hit me how differently I was treated, my brother had big graduation foods prepared and his graduations were celebrated from primary all the way to high school and little courses while I just had a well done from my parents even after taking in prices since I was in elementary, thought they'd take me out to eat a celebratory lunch after my high school graduation because it was the hardest part of my life to pass but all I got was a disgusted look and a 'thats what your wearing?' after at my graduation after I took my gown off to take pictures. I can't remember the time I blew out candles for my birthday or when a party was thrown for me, but my brother somehow has a cake for most of his birthdays and he had a really big party once with four big cakes, a whole roasted pig, lots of food and even had all his friends invited. When i reaches the age of 14, the same age he was when my parents threw him a party, I thought I'd have the same too, but I didn't, and still had not one party until I turned 24. The day I turned 23, was a month after my mum got better, I spent the whole day cooking for everyone, was wished happy birthday after realising it was my birthday, I then told them I'd come down to eat later after I take a nap and that they should serve the food and leave mine on the dining table. I came down to find they ate most of the food, and I was only placed only a bit of food in my plate. I got mad and hit my plate on the table with just a little food spilling over, my dad saw this and screamed at me and told me that my future husband would beat me up and that my life will be miserable and bad because of what I did. Well you guessed it, I went back to my room crying, and that blade in my bag looked so tempting against my wrists. I also remember when my brother dropped out of college that I was blamed by my parents, with my dad telling me on my way back from the grocery store that I'm the reason my brother ended up like how he is because they show me too much favour growing up. And when my big brother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after dropping out of college after misuse of alcohol and drugs my mum religiously took to the internet to search for diets, information and everything to do with it until he became better and she continued doing so for every little sickness like flu, meanwhile my heart disease was never on her search list. She even signed up for YouTube videos and lessons on everything to do with my brother health, and mind you my heart disease was diagnosed 6 years before he got bipolar. I left for school after the holidays, still exhausted and stressed from the entire experience. My body had reached its lowest point, I could feel my heart was tired, I was ready to die in my bed in my dorm, I had made peace that if my heart passed out before while rest I'd be okay with it. That's third year of uni was hell for me, my body never really recovered, I kept getting sick, had malaria countless times as well as typhoid three times in a row the same year. The stress combined with with the state of my immunity caused me to be sent to various medical officers and clinics to get my blood samples and x-rays to find what was wrong with me, why after being treated and cured my body felt sick. They thought I had tuberculosis, others thought I had STI's but all tests came back negative, and mind you all these tests cost money and my parents weren't happy with what they were spending for me to get this tests. It came to a point when I called my mum to tell her that I feel really sick and I'm stressed with my assignments, only for her to say "you're always sick, everytime we call you're sick. Don't you know we're tired of this, stop trying to get sick!". I'm tired of getting sick too mum, I thought to myself as I got off the call and stared at the pile of medicine Infront of me prescribed by the doctor as well as my heart meds, and they were too much, my mum's words over the phone kept playing in my head I I got my the blade on my study table and pressed it into my left wrist lightly drew it over to cut the skin, the pain felt soothinf, calming even, then I wondered how it would feel if I placed the knife on my study table and fell on it to pierce my heart, would the pain feel good? Would the thoughts stop? Would mum stop complaining? Would they mis me? What would happen to my body? Then I thought better of it and wrote in my dairy ro stop myself from doing ealxactly that then I was distracted by my medicine Infront of me with thoughts of "they would never know if you take all these and overdose, it'll be a painless death." The remainder of third year continued like these, with sickness and suicide thoughts until I went for job internship at a company I've always wanted to work in and life was good because i didnt for home for the holidays and I spent the holidays at school in my little dorm room with friends who looked out for me. Then 2024 rolled around and I'm properly rested, no stress and I'm happy. That's is until a month ago when my parents bought me my ticket to go back home to see them for the holidays that I spiralled, I had completely locked those memories away, but after every phone call this past month I'm left a crying mess with flashes of words said and feelings felt during that time and I go back to thinking of suicide. I nearly commited suicide on the 16th of may, i was truly gonna go throught with it, I wanted to so bad if only I did not see the bible verses in front of me amd if my roommates hadn't come back early. But I know, if I do go home now, I might actually commit suicide, if something like what happened in the past happens again, or if they say another harsh word, I wouldn't think twice of dying, because I'm done, I truly am.

2024.06.01 09:17 Neverlesse OneDrive not syncing

hey all, this started because I wanted to play some sims 4 with custom content and my files are not being read by my system. Most were marked with the OneDrive unsynced red/white X symbol, so I figured that meant it didn't work and tried reinstalling new mods entirely. They still aren't working, thus I started the dive into fixing OneDrive.
One guide I found suggested using the "free up space" option on red files, then selecting "always keep on this device" twice. There's been no change.
What got closer was the Windows guide to disconnect my OneDrive account, then reconnect and sync all my files. However, when I get to the step "Back up folder on this PC" I inevitably get an "Unable to sync" error, with a red block at the bottom that says "We're having trouble connecting to the OneDrive service. Check your connection or try again later." I tried yesterday and again today, checked by connection, nothing changed.
Some files do sync, but most do not despite the OneDrive icon on the taskbar saying there are no new changes.
I had bought the 100GB OneDrive subscription to help things along, since abouta month ago when I downloaded a game again half my files dissapeared from my desktop and turned red.
Sorry if this makes little to no sense, I just want to get this fixed and am happy to answer any questions and the like
edit: as soon as I posted this the sync went through. Majority of my files are still red, but OneDrive is attempting update changes so we'll see if anything happens.
edit 2: important question. can I just download files and not need onedrive to store them?? is it because of the file path i downloaded sims in? how can I exist without being told how by microsoft
edit 3: I uninstalled sims to see if I could reinstall it elsewhere and all my old files just reappeared on my desktop. what is going on..

Hello, I'm planning on building a PC for the first time with my brother, who knows a little more about building computers than I do. My goal for this part list was to create a PC that would be able to achieve good performance for gaming, streaming, video editing, and maybe some game developing with UE5 if I ever get to it. 2024.06.01 08:50 Milkbearchan Help with Kraken Elite Aio cooler.

I purchased the kraken elite 360 aio two days ago and itā€™s been the worst experience ever. My first pc build with my ID cooling aio didnā€™t give me this issue whatsoever so Iā€™m a tad discouraged so Iā€™m coming on here for help. Be kind please. I have a Nzxt b550 mobo for amd and Iā€™m trying to figure out how to get my cpu to stop overheating. I plugged the aio into the aio pump header on my mobo but Iā€™m wondering if I should have put it on the cpu fan header instead? I can see the pump and fan rpm through CAM and I can feel the water going through the pipes but cpu still reaching 90+ temps. Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s seated tightly and there shouldnā€™t be any gaps in between the cpu and pump. I used the right standoffs as well. Idk what bios settings need to be changed or anything so Iā€™m desperately trying to find someone that has the same mobo and aio cooler as I to maybe help troubleshoot possibly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is the second aio I purchased from Nzxt (the previous one I had to return because the rgb lights did not work and my cpu temps were over 90 also) and thereā€™s no way I have gotten two duds that donā€™t work because if thatā€™s the case thatā€™s a very bad look for Nzxt in my PERSONAL OPINION. But I highly doubt the aio isnā€™t working. It has to be something Iā€™m doing wrong and I need to know what it is because Iā€™m at my wits end with this pc xD

UPDATE: I read through the subreddit and tried swapping the memory sticks around and it did boot into BIOS. Luckily did not have to return any parts
Hello everyone.
I just built my first PC with a Ryzen 5 7600x on a Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX and. Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 GRE. I connected all the power supply cables and when turning on the PC, all lights (except case fan lights which very rarely flicker on for a brief period of time) turn and and all fans are running but I get no signal to the display. I noticed that the PC power cycles 5 minutes after boot but provides no signal after that.
I have tried plugging in the monitor through both the GPU and the Motherboard connector and neither of them provide an output. I have confirmed that the monitor is working through 2 different laptops. How do I start troubleshooting this?
PS: I made the mistake of powering off the PC a couple times already and I'm on my 4th time trying to boot, could that be an issue?
