So I thought it would be really cool to make the retro flower pillow (pattern: https://kitzknitz.com/the-retro-throw-pillow-a-free-crochet-pattern/ ) and I just think it’s hilarious how the entire time, it looks like you’re crocheting a hat for elves, which morphs into half a bikini top, then to it’s final phase: the weird turnip!
Hopefully I can figure out weaving the yarn through this monstrosity to create the petals. Which me luck. I don’t have a tapestry needle large enough for this.

I want to crochet swimsuits that can be worn in water. Originally I was looking for explicitly swimsuit yarn (alize diva stretch and himalaya bikini) but they can only be bought online and ship from outside the US. These are made of 100% polyamide. Now I’ve seen swimsuit patterns that say use nylon and others that say use acrylic but when I google acrylic yarn usage it says mainly blankets or sweaters and not swimsuits.
My question, does anyone know what is actually best for wearable swimsuits that I can find in a yarn store (yarn material or brand)? TYIA
