'Gilbert Goons' gang is mostly white. Why were teens of color among early arrests?
It was obvious to the Brennans — and other concerned parents and southeast Valley residents who saw the videos — that most of the attackers appeared to be white teens. They were known as the "Gilbert Goons."
"Everything I had heard or seen around the Gilbert Goons, the majority of these kids that were committing the crimes in the videos I was watching, they were, honestly, they were white kids," said Kristine Brennan, 48, a Gilbert resident and business owner.
But when the first arrests tied to the Goons attacks were announced in January by the Gilbert Police Department, it was the mug shots of two young men of color — one Black, one Latino — that were splashed all over local and national media, quickly turning them into poster boys for a string of violent teen attacks in the suburbs east of Phoenix, primarily Gilbert.
The arrests of two people of color surprised and confused many, including the Brennans, who had seen video after video of packs of mostly white teens punching and kicking other teens in blitz-style attacks that occurred before and after Lord's death. No arrests have yet been made in Lord's homicide, although Queen Creek police have made multiple criminal referrals to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
"I just couldn't believe the first arrests were those two kids," Kristine Brennan said.
About 75% of Gilbert's 275,000 population is white. About 4% is Black, and about 17.6% is Latino, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. Gilbert's median household income is $105,733, considerably higher than Arizona's at $65,900, and among the highest in Maricopa County, according to the Maricopa Association of Governments.

It is one of several attacks involving members of the Goons that Gilbert police set aside or failed to connect to the string of group assaults. Kuenher was one of the first parents of a victim to publicly criticize Gilbert police for failing to address the assaults.
On the night of Aug. 18, Kuehner's teenage son came home bleeding profusely and was visibly shaken, Kuehner previously told The Republic. Goons attacked him, and it was filmed, he said.
When police were called that night, Kuehner's son told them the name of a 16-year-old involved in the attack, court records state. That white 16-year-old, the stepson of a principal of an elementary school in Gilbert, was interviewed and pointed himself out in a video of the attack, saying he was running to watch. The juvenile had his arms raised, stood in a "bladed stance," and appeared to be preparing to participate in the assault, according to court records.
After police first interviewed the 16-year-old, officials were "unable" to establish probable cause to arrest, Gilbert police said. The attack video was sent to school resource officers at southeast Valley high schools, but police said they could not identify suspects.
Gilbert police listed the case as "inactive" in early October. They didn't reopen it until after The Republic inquired about the attack in December.
When the 16-year-old was interviewed again after the case was reactivated in December, he blamed most of the fight on unidentified people of color. He said “two Black kids” approached Kuehner’s son that night, then a “Mexican kid” hit him in the face, police records state. Then, three “Black kids” and a “white kid” chased the victim.
On Jan. 10, Gilbert police confirmed Christopher Fantastic, 18, who is Black, had been arrested in connection with the beating. Hours later, the department confirmed that three more people were arrested: Aris Arredondo, 18, who is Latino, and two juveniles. The four were suspected of assault and robbery.
Another adult, 19-year-old Deleon Haynes, who is Black, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested later in January for the same Aug. 18 attack, also on suspicion of assault and robbery.
Only the mugshots of Fantastic and Arredondo — the two adults — were released by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office on the day of the first arrests. The identities of the two juveniles arrested that day were not released by law enforcement and have been withheld by many news outlets, including The Arizona Republic, which does not typically publish the names of minors accused of crimes unless charged as adults.
After the Jan. 10 arrests, the story of suburban Arizona teens attacking other teens garnered wider interest. An article in the New York Post ran under the headline, "Affluent teen street gang ‘Gilbert’s Goons’ busted in string of caught-on-video attacks on high schoolers."
The Post story prominently featured photographs of Fantastic and Arredondo, which seemed to some readers to conflict with the headline, prompting racist comments.
"Affluent? Christopher Fantastic (really?) and Aris Arredondo don't look too affluent to me, they just look like the usual suspects," said one reader comment under the name Approve This.
"The pics confirm the stereotypes," said another reader comment under the name SlickWillies. "These 2 groups consistently" overrepresent.
The 16-year-old interviewed twice by police was among the three minors arrested in connection with the attack on Kuehner's son. But last week, Gilbert police said the Maricopa County Attorney's Office would not charge him. The police referral was "turned down," a police statement said.
Criminal cases are proceeding against Fantastic, Arredondo, Haynes and one minor, according to a statement Friday from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, which did not specify the status of the case against the third minor arrested.
At the time the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo were announced, the Gilbert Police Department was facing withering criticism that it had been slow to respond and make arrests in the Gilbert Goons attacks.
"It kind of shows what kinds of white privilege is going on here," said Robert Brennan, 43. "Where you've got literal video evidence, you've got masses of people up in arms about this, and you go after the easier targets."
The quick arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo weakened his trust in the Gilbert police.
"It doesn't sit well," Robert Brennan said. "That wasn't who we were after. We were after these kids, but you didn't go after those kids. You went after some other kids."
Similar concerns were raised on social media.
"This is really not looking good. As the mother of black children, this is absolutely unnerving. Hold him accountable, yes. But what about the rest? This is just one disgusting injustice after another," Tamara Gooden wrote on Facebook under an azfamily.com article reporting the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo. Kristine Brennan posted the article on a Facebook page named Lily Waterfield, which she uses to show support for the investigation into Lord's death, draw attention to the Gilbert Goons attacks and organize the community.
Katey McPherson, 50, does not believe the Gilbert police deliberately timed the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo to deflect attention from white attackers. Nevertheless, that was the result.
"A lot of misinformation was put out due to the timing of the arrests," said McPherson, a youth mental health advocate who has become a major rallying force in the search for justice for Lord. "Because when you look across the span of the group, I would say 94% of them are Caucasian."
The false impression created by the timing of the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo reflects an overall failure by the Gilbert police in handling the Gilbert Goons attacks, she said.
"They're not thinking or not mindful of the narrative, but they haven't been mindful of teenagers and teen violence in general anyways," McPherson said. "So, for me, it's just kind of a consistent pattern of incompetence."
"I was more like suspicious, wondering what is the spin that was happening," Sears said.
Sears said the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo raise many questions. Were they among the first arrested because they stood out from the others? Did white attackers try to pin the blame on them?
Given the demographics of Gilbert, Sears also wondered if police were quick to arrest Fantastic and Arredondo to change public perception about the attacks, given that multiple people were involved in the attack.
"It was troubling that the first pictures posted were that of (people) of color," Sears said. "Was this a message being sent? Was there an intention? Was there an agenda?"
Were there people conspiring to create this perception that people of color were the attackers, Sears said, so "now the narrative changes ... where we no longer are saying that it's these white kids out here doing this?"
Tips received from the public helped Gilbert police identify Fantastic as the Black male "with a distinct Afro hairstyle" shown attacking the victim in the screenshot of a social media video of the attack, according to police reports. In the screenshot, Fantastic's face "is clearly identifiable based on prior police interactions," the police report said.
According to the police report, Fantastic was among multiple people who attacked the victim in a parking lot. In the video, Fantastic punched the victim numerous times while he was on the ground trying to shield himself from the blows with his arms, according to the police report. Fantastic then stomped and kicked the victim multiple times while the victim was still on the ground.
"As this occurred, multiple other subjects in the video also punched and kicked the victim," the police report said. The victim's shoes were also stolen during the attack, prompting the robbery charges, the police report said.
The victim told police he believed the attack was in retaliation for reporting previous threats by subjects in the group to a police officer at his school, the police report said.
Arredondo, meanwhile, arrived at the Gilbert Police Department and agreed to cooperate two days after police posted screenshots of the incident and asked for the public's help identifying the attackers, according to a police report. Arredondo admitted he can be seen in the video stills, though he denied being involved in the attacks, the police report said. But "multiple tips" the police received identified Arredondo as "the Hispanic male" in the social media screenshots, according to the police report. The victim also identified Arredondo as the person who punched him in the mouth and initiated the altercation, the police report said.
The Arizona Republic was unable to reach Fantastic and Arredondo. Public defenders are representing both.
Gilbert Police Chief Michael Soelberg vehemently denied race played any role in the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo.
"I want to categorically deny any insinuation that race plays a role in any arrest in Gilbert. Arrests are only made as new information becomes available and probable cause is established. Our primary focus is justice for all victims, the safety of our community and to put those responsible behind bars. To suggest otherwise is irresponsible and disheartening," Soelberg said in a written statement.
Soelberg said the Gilbert Police Department has long-standing relationships and partnerships with residents, organizations and businesses from all backgrounds.
"Under no circumstances is race ever a determining factor in the arrests of individuals by the Gilbert Police Department. Our officers take all reported crimes, investigations and arrests in our community very seriously," the statement said.
The Gilbert Police Department did not share the mugshots with media nor through the city's social media channels, Soelberg said.
The mugshots of Fantastic and Arredondo were released by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the agency responsible for booking and processing individuals brought into its custody, Soelberg said. The sheriff's office releases mugshots of adults who are booked.
Information involving juvenile arrest records is not releasable due to restrictions outlined in Arizona law unless and until the county attorney prosecutes the juvenile as an adult, Soelberg said. That's why Fantastic and Arredondo were identified on the day of the first arrests and the minors were not.
Galloway sees parallels between the way the Gilbert police were criticized for being slow to respond to the Devil Dogs and the public uproar the department now faces in response to the Gilbert Goons and the quick arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo.
"With the Devil Dogs, it was white kids from affluent families that had the resources to try to protect their kids from the judicial system that these other kids (Fantastic and Arredondo) don't have," Galloway said. "Unfortunately, Gilbert to me has not changed much since the 1990s with the Devil Dogs because of this situation."
Galloway, a Tempe civil rights activist, also believes the Gilbert police handling of the Gilbert Goons attacks appears to reflect larger problems with policing in the U.S. in general, where white people with money are treated more favorably than people of color with fewer resources.
"Unfortunately, it's throughout this country where those who have money can get away with certain things until it hits a boiling point, but they'll use kids of color, people of color, as a scapegoat," Galloway said. "They try to paint a different narrative, and unfortunately, that's the same thing that has gone on in Gilbert."
Since the arrests of Fantastic and Arredondo, the Gilbert police have arrested about a dozen additional people tied to Gilbert Goons attacks.
Galloway said close attention needs to be paid to how the cases are prosecuted to see if bias becomes a factor.
Most of the additional people arrested are adults or juveniles charged as adults, so many of their names and mugshots have become public. That has presented a fuller picture of the attackers, said McPherson, the youth mental health advocate and community organizer.
"So if you have been following from start to finish, the story is pretty true," McPherson said. "The real truth is most of these children are Caucasian from middle- to upper-class families and have brutally attacked people for no apparent reason."
Galloway said he was unconvinced that public perception would shift from those first mug shots. He said he believed the images of Fantastic and Arredondo as the faces behind the Gilbert Goons attacks have been cemented in the public's mind.
"Yeah, the truth is coming out, but you still have that image, that stereotypical idea in the back of your mind of who was at the heart of it, which is untrue," Galloway said.

- The way the Josh situation is talked about. Whether it be extremely tasteless "jokes" about life in prison, being arm chair lawyers, etc... just yikes.
- Same worn out takes, jokes etc. Examples: Jinger could literally post a pic of herself eating ice cream and 3 people will make posts saying "Jeremy likes ice cream so Jinger likes ice cream too" or something about him forcing her to do it.
- Commenting negatively about the physical appearance of babies and children. You are 26 years old, keep that shit to yourself.
- Snarking on children in general for their personalities... yes they have shitty upbringings but kids are naturally annoying and that's ok.
- Hating WOACB but acting like her. KJ is a league of her own and a terrible person for tons of reasons. However, many people on that sub are guilty of running with stuff that are just merely rumors just like she does.
- Way too much black and white thinking and equating acknowledging progress and making mild compliments as "fan behavior"
- The comments about Jed being "Josh 2.0" are bothersome. I can't stand Jed and I think he's a little bitch. However, my feelings toward him aren't even close to the same as how I feel about Josh. Obviously the cult breeds very terrible people and being wary of any of these men is understandable. But sometimes I feel like they secretly want him to turn out like that and if they do have that mindset that's extremely unfair to Katey and their future children.

Now I have multiple theories about all of this.
- The Jed/ Lauren/ Katey courtship/ engagement/ wedding news is a distraction for Jer (or Jed) and Hannah Wissmann. Jer and Hannah were standing beside each other when they took that pic at Magnolia in TX. Which makes me think Hannah was Jer’s “date” to Claritin’s wedding.
- The Je Hannah and the Jed/ Lauren C/ Katey courtship/ engagement/ wedding rumours are all a cove distraction for The Duggar’s to pull a fast one and announce a Jana- Stephen Wissmann (maybe) courtship. It’s all so coincidental that Jed, Jer and Now Jana are all rumoured to be in courtships/ engaged. Jana’s rumours are more recent than Jed and Jer. What if JB is leaking all the Jed/ Jer rumours to the press to through them off Jana’s scent? We all know a JANA courtship would rock the fundie world. It would be great for Counting on ratings too.

“Mr. Chambers?”
I turn the pages of the photo album in front of me, not really focusing on anything. I should weep, or cry, or lash out in anger. But I’m just numb.
“Excuse me, Mr. Chambers? Alex? Are you able to continue?”
I look up and for a brief second, I forget everything around me. It comes back, slowly. I’m in our home, that we shared for over 25 years, sitting in the living room. Special Agent Kristen Dowling sits in front of me, a worried, pensive look on her face. I look down at the page I stopped at. A picture of Marilyn and I at Disneyworld with our daughter Katey, then seven years old.
“I’m sorry. Kind of zoned out there a bit. Where was I?”
Agent Dowling let out a sigh of relief. “You were telling me about when you first met your wife.”
It comes back to me now. “Yes, we met in 1992 at a volunteer event – Habitat for Humanity. Jimmy Carter was there; she was so excited. Me, not so much. Just needed to get my annual community service days out of the way. She was so giving, so supportive. Always looking out for those less fortunate. “
My throat is suddenly dry. “I need a drink? Can I get you anything? Pop, water?”
Kristen smiled. “A water, thanks.”
I rummage around the fridge, grab two bottles, and head back to the living room, reminiscing as I walk. “Here you go.”
She sips a bit, then continues. “When you met, did she have any friends, groups that she belonged to? Where did she work?”
I shake my head. “No work, she was still in school. OU College of Nursing. Got a BSN, went right to Mercy Hospital. All of the people in her life were from school, or the hospital, or a half-dozen volunteer organizations she belonged to.”
“No family?”
I shake my head. “She said she was an orphan or something. I didn’t pry, but I think there was something pretty traumatic that went on.”
“What makes you say that?”
“She couldn’t remember anything before her 18th birthday.”
Agent Dowling types furiously in her laptop. “What did she tell you about that day?”
I breathe in deeply. “She said it was the first day at OU. August 21rd 1989. She woke in the morning, already in the dorm. She was happy. She didn’t know much about her life, but she clearly had a solid college prep schooling – she was smart as a tack. She met her roommates later that day as they arrived. She told them it was her birthday, and they all went out to celebrate.” I smiled. “Mickey Mantle’s Restaurant. We’ve celebrated many an anniversary there.”
“How’d she pay for school?”
I shrug. “Full scholarship, I guess.”
The Agent continues to type. “So, you met in 1992. How’d you end up married?”
“We hung out as friends, at first. I introduced her to my crowd, my family, co-workers. We would hang around in groups together. One day a group of nurses, another a group from Ameriprise, on the weekend a group from Habitat, or the Red Cross.”
“You weren’t initially attracted to each other?”
I smile. “Dunno about her, but I was smitten the moment I laid eyes on her. But something kept me back. Back then she seemed real naïve – lots of book smarts, but hardly any real world experience. She’d ask me some of the most basic questions at times. Things you or I might have learned on the playground in elementary school. In a way I felt more protective of her than anything.”
“Anyway, it was over a year before we went out on anything like a date. And then a year more before things got serious. I popped the question on Christmas Day, 1994. I remember she laughed, but she said yes. She wanted to get married right away, so we scheduled an April wedding. Her mentor from OU walked her down the aisle. Honeymooned at Lake of the Ozarks for two weeks, completely separated from the outside world.”
I felt a burst of anger rise up in me. I paused just long enough to push it down, let it pass. “We came back to the aftermath of the Oklahoma City Bombing.”
Agent Dowling’s face went ashen. “Were you…?”
“Three of our closest friends died. Two of them also had children that died. We couldn’t stay. It was just too painful. For her I think it was guilt at not being there when it happened. So, we said our tearful goodbyes. Moved up here to Omaha. She went to work at the children’s hospital, I settled in at US Bank. Both of us just got our 25-year pins.”
The anger welled up again, but this time it was different. Anger at the unknown, at all the stuff that came out after her car wreck, all the questions swirling from a dozen different agencies.
“Look, I know all these people have questions. Frankly so do I. But maybe the simplest answer is the best: maybe she was this missing teen, got into some trouble, had to run away, start a new life. Is that so difficult to accept?”
“And what about the other six missing people that showed up in her DNA profile?”
“I dunno. Bone graphs, maybe.” I grasp as straws. “Or Leukemia! Marrow transplants! Or maybe she had to have intensive gene therapy for something!”
“The doctors have ruled that out…”
I slam my fist on the coffee table, perhaps too hard. “Dammit! I don’t care what they say, there’s no way they’re going to convince me that my wife was some kind of Frankenstein’s monster!”
Kristina holds my hand, tries to settle it. “No one is saying that. It’s just that we have a lot of people with questions that go back over 30 years. We’re just trying to find closure to all this.”
I suddenly start to weep. Kristina holds me, comforts me. I try to let her, but my loneliness just won’t stop. But at least I’m able to calm down after a few moments.
“Ok, lets consider what you just said. Marilyn was a runaway, or maybe a trafficked teen. Got away, started a new life. Let’s see if things add up.”
Sure, I think, this will be easy. “Ok, tell me about this teen.”
Agent Dowling rummages through some files, then pops out what seems to be the thickest one. “Her name was Camila Montoya, from Las Vegas Nevada…”
“Wait, Hispanic?” Ok, maybe this isn’t going to be so easy after all.
“Yes.” She hands me a picture. Deep skinned, broad lips, dark hair, brown eyes. I quickly flip through my photo album. There she was, the girl I fell in love with.
“This was taken two weeks after we met.” It’s the face I saw every day for almost 30 years: Fair skin, with a few freckles, thin lips tapering to dimples, dusty blond hair, dark blue eyes. There’s no way these are the same two people. Except…
I look closely at Camila, then back at Marilyn. I hold them up to the light, slide both pictures together. Escuela’s face is larger, but the proportions are exactly a match. No, I think to myself, this can’t be right.
“Do you have any other pictures of her?”
“Sure” the Agent hands me the file, and I rifle through them. Birthday parties, middle school graduation, summer camp, family photos. And I see plenty of evidence that this isn’t my wife: 5’4”, not 5’9”. Broader hips, not fat, but hourglass shaped. Not anything like the tall skinny woman I married.
Then I find what I’m looking for.
Most of Camila’s pictures show a slight smile but this – she is clearly laughing at some shenanigans behind the photographer. Now my wife would have covered her mouth if anything like that had happened, because of…
I drop the file, dig through the photo album. I know its here, somewhere. I open the cabinet, fish out boxes of discarded photos, all unworthy to share to our friends. It takes me a lot longer than I thought, but I find it.
“My wife had an interesting smile. Her right bicuspid grew out crooked, so she had a bit of a snaggletooth. She was always embarrassed by it, covered her mouth when she ate, or laughed. She wanted me to through this picture away, but I thought it was just so cute of her…”
We compared the two photos. Same tooth, same angle of protrusion.
Marilyn and Camila had the same snaggletooth.
“What does this mean?”
Agent Dowling seems as shaken as I. “I don’t know…”
Anger rise up from the pit of my stomach. “So, what do we do now? Start comparing arms and legs to these other missing kids, see if there’s a match?”
The Agent just looks at me. She opens her mouth but doesn’t speak.
“And think of the ramifications. That someone carved up seven kids, stripped them to their bones, took bits and pieces of them and – I dunno, transplanted them? Grew a new body around them?”
She’s not looking at me, so I grab her shoulders, look in her face. “I mean, let’s say we open up all these questions? Do you really think the world is ready for the answers we’ll find?”
Before she can answer I hear the door open. It’s Katey. Our daughter. She looks as if she’s been crying all the way from Colorado. I immediately go to hug her.
Agent Dowling starts to pack up her things. “I know you have a lot going on, so I’ll come back later and we can continue our talk.” She pauses. “Can I keep this?”
It’s the photo of Marilyn’s snaggletooth. “Can you take a picture?”
She nods and lays it down. Pulls out her phone, snaps two or three pics, then hands me the original.
She goes to leave, then looks back. “I’m so sorry, for…” But she looks as if she is going to cry, so she just walks out the door.
And Katey and I just hold each other for the longest time. Crying and laughing, finally collapsing on the couch. But I need to let her know.
“Look, Katey, I need to tell you… there are some question popping up about your mom…”
She holds my hand. “I know.”
“So, listen, I’m going to try to keep you out of it as much as possible. I want to you to remember your mom as the loving, caring person she always has been. OK?”
“Maybe I should…”
I shake my head. “A lot of people are making some wild accusations about some really weird things. Disturbing things.”
Katey looks down. “I know.”
“So it’s best if you…” Then I look at her. But she won’t look back. “What do you mean, ‘you know’?”
She looks up at me, tears streaming down her cheeks. “I know… everything.”
I stumble over my words, spouting gibberish. Finally I sputter out, “How?”
Katey doesn’t cry, she just looks down. A deep fear rushes across my gut.
“Because I’m just like her.”
My world goes dark.

- Lauren Caldwell is supposedly courting Jason or James...or even Jackson? Nobody knows.
- Maddie Crane (spelling?) could be courting Jason, she posted a group photo with a special shout out to him on her IG a few months ago EDIT she actually posted a pic with James not Jason my bad.
- I thought someone said on here that Jeer might be courting a girl in Tennessee (my first thought was that it could be a Bates girl, but the oldest unmarried daughter is 14 so I hope not...maybe it's a member of the extended Campbell family? They're the only other TN fundies I can think of and several of the granddaughters are approximately his age)

Yo! So the Death Sworn ward skin is painfully small, so much that it gets dwarfed by any other ward skin. I've made this little comparison pic to show the difference in size, and it's pretty big (in some examples massive).
Theres also other wards that are small like this one, like the Omega Squad one, but since this one is so recent I thought it would still be up for resizing.

Non-teen wolf Stuff:
- Holland supporting Trans-rights
- Posey being a class clown
- Theo "went to hell and back" and comes back a changed man. New dynamic, possibly redemption story.
- Nazi werewolf and Dread Doctor flashback. Will be about how they've captured him. He is a Nasty villain.
- Peter was in the trailer and will cause some family troubles with Malia
- Khylin - Theo, though honorable mention to dread doctors for being scary
- Sprayberry - The Beast b/c he destroyed everything.
- The Pose - Void Stiles
- Jeff Davis - Between Nogistune and Peter Hale (Season 1)

- Theo - Void Stiles
- They will take Stiles, and erase memory of Stiles. Scott will not even know that he had a friend like Stiles.
- characters will have to "really dig deep into their memory to remember thing about him"
- Wild Hunt's whole thing is that they pass throw your town and if you glance up and look at them they take you with them
- They get stuck in beacon hills, which leads them to taking a lot of people instead of just the few they usually do.
- Make-up did a lot of work to make them feel "american-west"
- They introduced Ian Bohen and JR Bourne by "Bringing in the ghost riders" (note: they are not the ghost riders, though Peter being one would be kinda cool).
- Will be moving through a few time periods and one focuses on Irish Folklore. Will be related to solving mystery of season 6 and important to Lydia.
- Scott is single and posey seems happy about that. It is probably fun for him not to have to worry about all those romance scenes.
- Scott is focused on his pack and keeping them together.
- he is thinking about going to college and passing the torch to Liam for when he is gone. He will be giving Liam tests to see how well Liam would do as an alpha
- Stilesless-Scott will be ok because he has no idea about what he is missing. But when he realizes he is missing his best friend he becomes obsessed with rescuing him and digging deep to remember him.
- They dig up Theo "for reasons" but when answering the question it was in re to Duke maybe helping since your not supposed to look at the wild hunt.
- Will see side effects from Mason being the Beast, but more about it being traumatic than supernatural. Mason is obsessed with the supernatural and has learned now that it is dangerous and will channel his obsession to research and finding as much as possible on the ghost riders.
- Once of Ian's fav things about Peter is his consistency and he doesn't change regardless of being good or bad in the moment, so he won't be very different this season. His motives might not be completely clear though (which is also pretty par for the course after season 1).
- Bourne wanted a story where Argent would forget a bunch of the shit that has happened to him. But he implied this doesn't happen.
- "Maybe it is time to get rid of the grief beard" (But Jeff likes it).
- Argent will "Absolutely" tie into the story, mostly through his relationship in supporting Scott and following Allison's philosophy. He shows up and basically follows Scott's lead.
- Jeff loves their voices.
- As the last season, want to bring Peter and Argent back to give them an ending. Will be PeteMalia troubles. Will have a lot of scenes with Stiles and Peter (Jeff loves them together)
- Always looking to bring back people.
- Saving-Stiles is a big theme/motivation for the characters, but part of the overarching wild hunt story.
- Focus on the relationships

- Peter - Dirty Deeds (Jeff's Idea). But Ian sees it being something like tchaikovsky which Peter would be enjoying and listening to.
- Theo/Wormfood - Charm (Jeff). Nothing bc he is an evil bastard (Cody). Wishes for Theo to have some Empathy.
- Pose/Scott - Loving people and saving the world. Wishes for Scott to have guitar skills.
- Spray/Liam - desire to do the right thing. Wishes Liam could take a joke.
- Ky/Mason - Fascination with supernatural things. Wishes for Mason's bravery.
- Hol/Lydia - Would do anything for friends. Holland hates Highheels and wished Lydia did too.
- JAr - Strong moral compass and dealing with loss. Wish that JR had guitar skills (copy-cat).
- Ian/Pete - tenacity not to loose. Wishes he had Peter's ability to mentally see a room and understand people's positions and be ready to manipulate them.
- Never expected the series to go this long. Expected about 50 episodes.
- needs to give credit to actors who can reflect characters personalities and other writers who all have a vision of who should end up with whom and what kind of rinkle to throw in Scott/Stiles' friendship.
- Lydia is the character he is most surprised has ended up where she is. Also Tyler Posey who became such a leading man over the series.
- "every show originally starts out with a star, but eventually becomes an ensemble". Gives shout out to everyone including Linden and Melissa.
- Posey - commercials that pretend to be "found footage". I.e. "we just found X guy on street". Super fake.
- Spray - Doors open in rooms. Need to shut all the doors!
- Khylin - selfies make him cringe, especially when in the wrong place. same with pics of food.
- Holland - Driving when people don't pull out on yellow lights. Fear - can't take lefts unless they are secure.
- Cody - Puddles underneath urinals in the restrooms and poor hot coffee into an iced coffee which just melts the ice and makes the whole thing room temperature.
- Argent - people that walk barefoot in change rooms. People that block traffic making lefts, doors need to be open and lights on
- Ian - when cars are wiping too fast for the rain falling.
- Posey answering for everyone - all he ever wanted to do was touch people (not like that)/ inspire people and make a difference. and wants people to find a bond similar to Scott/Stiles, save people's lives like it saved his.
- Jeff - books/movies got him through the worst years of his life so he loves that he may have done that for even one person. Also fun fact: MTV forced Jeff to take a vacation at one point or else he would've driving himself insane. (probably why he "took a step back")
- Not going to summarize fully as I feel it would take away from answer (I'm also lazy as fuck). So you can watch it yourself around 45 minutes into VOD.
- Scott - Same as Posey, I wanna change the world.
- Liam - Something about lacrosse. Lax for Life. (no fell in a hole, missing a chance there Spray).
- Mason - sorry for all those that lost their lives to the beast. Steady trying to survive in BH.
- Lydia - instructions on how to win a field medal or what the hell is a Stiles.
- Cody - Why should I apologize for the monster I've become. No one ever apologized for making me this way (from a fan-edit)
- Argent - I hunt ____ ____, looking for soulmate.
- Peter - Single male omega seeking open-minded betas. must love wolves, no mountain ash, DM me.
- Posey - At the start, very different. Scott kept to himself and Lydia wanted attention/mean girl. As years went on Lydia let her guard down and Scott started to see the compassionate/smart/real lydia and lydia saw the leader that Scott became and how much he really loved and wanted to protect her friends. Relationship really solidified in season 3A when Scott and Lydia are in the concert hall before the Pionist is killed and grabs Lydia's hand
- For Scott - his favourite was transformation from such an outcast in season 1 to such a "Buddhist monk person" that was so calculated, doesn't doubt his gut, doesn't question what to do, someone that Posey would be proud to be be. Started in a super stressful situation and now a badass leader that will protect his friends no matter the cost. "I wanna be Scott McCall when I grow up".
- Holland - Lydia started as a control freak with trust issues, and her biggest evolution as a character was giving up her control as a leader to Scott in that concert hall and thinks that is when she really started to make real friends from that point.
- Likes the development of Lydia's empathy as she developed, could place herself in other's shoes, etc.

- Posey - Follow your passion, film on your own, do your own thing, take an acting class, get out there anyway (i.e. Youtube). If goal is too unattainable (quote Mike Rowe), get a job and put dreams on hold and pursue them as hobbies/future. Always have a backup, as acting is tough and competitive.
- Holland - start writing. Writing/Acting go together and seems like the best way in to acting atm. Writer stuff together with other writers, etc. Attach yourself to ideas and then they can't make it without you.
- Cody - Must believe in whatever your pursuing before anything. Must believe in yourself and believe it is possible.
- Khylin - you get attached to many projects in acting and if you don't get a part don't get discouraged. Push through with a positive mindset. Be humble and your in a better position no matter where you are. Don't be negative as that keeps you low. Be conscious of your life outside of a character as you can draw on that as an actor
- Spray - you always wanting to be growing. It is about art and doing what you love, don't get caught up in followers, fans, fame, etc.
- Zach - growth isn't some vertical/horizontal thing. You don't end anywhere, it is subjective and there is no ending point. Can always do something different. Do Theatre! That is where it all starts.
- Jeff - sees a lot of auditions: one of the first things they look at it: do you want to be a celebrity or an actor. You must treat it like a craft, you need to do all the starting things like acting classes, drama, etc. Just because your hot doesn't make you an actor. He has seen "vine-kids" that are hot and popular and they take an audition and they are terrible, they don't sound like a person, etc. Treat it like something that takes years of prep.
- Posey - Want to fuck all the guys.
- Holland - kill Isaac (can't stand a man in a scarf), Marry Peter, Fuck Kate (last two were hard choice)
- Jeff - abstain.
- Cody - Marry Isaac, Kill Peter, Fuck Kate
- Khylin - Second Cody.
- Spray - Marry Kate (feisty), Fuck Peter, Kill Isaac.
- Posey - Season 3 because he made out a lot.

- Guy asks Cody about the exercise/body/dieting lifestyle. Cody likes the discipline, that it trains his mind to adhere to something most people can't, doing something with a ridiculous schedule and still finding the time to go, finding what he wants his body to look like, mental growth. He started to use the will and disc he learned in acting for all the "nos". He would be fine doing it as his career.
EW! Comic Con Interview
- Theo will be "changed" but no one is going to trust him. Cody is pushing the redemption theme (plz no).
- Cody was too nice and too pretty. Solid addition to the cast.
- Scott isn't really threatened by Theo anymore. He has done his worst and failed, and Theo is not more of an annoyance and possible ally one-day (called Peter 2.0).
- Malia won't trust him at all and be angry with Theo.
- A lot of the mystery centers around Stiles, and the first part of season 6 really explores Lydia's relationship with Stiles. "Didn't want to go the path of Stydia in a way the audience suspects" but going to explore it and definitely answers a few things about out.
- Ending felt inevitable in the last few seasons, and they dabbled with making 5.20 the ending. Feels each season finale comes off as series finales. Feels great to go out on their 100 episodes.
- This season will have the biggest character arc to date for Scott. Posey is really sad but also happy about the ending.

2014.08.17 13:19 torrentails South Australian regional championship report w/decklists
The South Australian regional championship, held at The Hobby Matrix, Tea Tree Plaza, came to a close yesterday with some very interesting results. Out of the 15 participants was our core team, consisting of 5 regular players, a handful of other regulars, with the remaining being fairly new faces, many of which were very obviously inexperienced with the game.
As you can see there was quite a few oddball decks, an honourable mention however is my team mate, Josh with a full Nightmare Villains deck, which had terrible luck in his games and failed to make top 8.
One issue we had was the strong suspicion that one of the players was cheating in many of their games. Unfortunately as for most of his opponents, as this was their first major tournament, they kept quiet and failed to report their suspicions until after their respective games were over, which meant the judges couldn't do anything about it as there was no longer any evidence. I won't name and shame, innocent until proven guilty type thing.
There were some bright sides though, huge congratulations our winner Jaudan, who borrowed my Pegasus Explosion deck for the day and to the core team who, with the exception of Josh, made it to top 8 with some well built, albeit unusual decks.
Next I want against Phil using an almost BBZ deck, but with Pink as its off colour instead of White. Nothing too interesting here, simply a race to the finish with RTO and Stand Stills giving me the win at 15 to 12.
Third I went up against Lindsay using a tri-colour deck of White/Pink/Purple with some Owls thrown in for good measure. This was by far my worst game, not because of my opponent's deck, but because of incredibly bad luck. My opening hand had only 2 playable cards, neither of them a critter, so I did what any reasonable player would and mulliganed. Bad idea, the second hand I drew had exactly zero playable cards and that didn't change until my 3rd turn, where I finally drew an Owl. Didn't help much though as I didn't draw a single white entry until the last turn of the match. I kinda surprised I still managed to go 12 - 15 with only yellow cards.
The final swiss game was against a Pink/Purple dismissal deck. Standard opening for me followed up by a Fluttergui, to which he promptly attached Chicken Suit, claiming that it instantly dismissed the exhausted friend; we promptly corrected him. After that saw the first use of Fancy Pants ability, ultimately scoring 3 points off him after a single problem FO for the win, 16 to 12.
Next up was top 8 playoffs with a game against Nathan, running Pink/Purple dismissal. Being the first of my team mates that I faced, I knew what to expect and was confidant of a win. All was going well for me, he used his flipped Pinkie to dismiss an RTO but it was no big loss. It got fairly close, at 11 to 10 but I did the math and was all set to win the very next turn and he knew it, being unable score on his turn, or so we thought. Out of desperation, he used Back Where You Began to actually move Prim Posy from my home to a problem with Spring Forward which gave SF enough to confront the problem getting him 3 points, but not enough to win. However, since I now had enough to confront also, we went into faceoff. SF was at 6 and I had 5 power with a Critter Cavalry in my hand ready to go; I was all set... I flip an Owl... he flips an Ahuizotl.

There were some bright sides though, huge congratulations our winner Jaudan, who borrowed my Pegasus Explosion deck for the day and to the core team who, with the exception of Josh, made it to top 8 with some well built, albeit unusual decks.
Summary of my games:
First up was a game against George, who was using a mish mash of deck which he says he put together the night before. He went first and my opening play was fairly standard for a Ballroom Blitz deck, banking first turn then playing 2 critters my next turn, flipping Friend to Animals and moving to score the bonus at my opponents problem. Next I dropped a Fluttergui followed by a second one 2 turns later. It was all down hill from there. An easy win for me with a final score of 16 to 8.Next I want against Phil using an almost BBZ deck, but with Pink as its off colour instead of White. Nothing too interesting here, simply a race to the finish with RTO and Stand Stills giving me the win at 15 to 12.
Third I went up against Lindsay using a tri-colour deck of White/Pink/Purple with some Owls thrown in for good measure. This was by far my worst game, not because of my opponent's deck, but because of incredibly bad luck. My opening hand had only 2 playable cards, neither of them a critter, so I did what any reasonable player would and mulliganed. Bad idea, the second hand I drew had exactly zero playable cards and that didn't change until my 3rd turn, where I finally drew an Owl. Didn't help much though as I didn't draw a single white entry until the last turn of the match. I kinda surprised I still managed to go 12 - 15 with only yellow cards.
The final swiss game was against a Pink/Purple dismissal deck. Standard opening for me followed up by a Fluttergui, to which he promptly attached Chicken Suit, claiming that it instantly dismissed the exhausted friend; we promptly corrected him. After that saw the first use of Fancy Pants ability, ultimately scoring 3 points off him after a single problem FO for the win, 16 to 12.
Next up was top 8 playoffs with a game against Nathan, running Pink/Purple dismissal. Being the first of my team mates that I faced, I knew what to expect and was confidant of a win. All was going well for me, he used his flipped Pinkie to dismiss an RTO but it was no big loss. It got fairly close, at 11 to 10 but I did the math and was all set to win the very next turn and he knew it, being unable score on his turn, or so we thought. Out of desperation, he used Back Where You Began to actually move Prim Posy from my home to a problem with Spring Forward which gave SF enough to confront the problem getting him 3 points, but not enough to win. However, since I now had enough to confront also, we went into faceoff. SF was at 6 and I had 5 power with a Critter Cavalry in my hand ready to go; I was all set... I flip an Owl... he flips an Ahuizotl.
