P1, Detectives Harrison and Macklay arrive to the Hastings home with 'the boys' and search Bill's house and car. Phyllis is not happy about it, turns to look inside and we get a long look at her pearl earring {Phyllis alt Rita? killed at her home, alt from the hit in MD; MrC alt the hitman "you did good...you follow human nature perfectly" cryptic comment, similar to Joe at Winkie's "when it's finished you'll find this where I told you."}. The other detective in MD, Harry McKnight, played by Forster (Frank Truman). P5 Frank's wife Doris storms into Hawk's office and complains and berates Frank about various issues at the house, she's alt Phyllis, Frank alt the husband? (in Bill's spot, see above). Macklay says that he knows Bill from high school alt Frank/Forster, his former partner whose prints were found at the crime scene and who he interrogates in P1? (Dave alt 'Neal Macklay'). Summary: Macklay (alt Neal) and his boys find the box at the crime scene from P1, old partner's prints (alt Frank) are on it, Cooper (alt Lt Knox) arrives to investigate and alt to him and Harry in S1 and the diary in the conference room (and link to Hawk's map and the 'Judy' symbol also in the conference room), he opens it using force, transports him to a world where he's the 'head' that combines with someone else's body (which was inside or represented by the box). Since Ruth Davenport's head is combined with Garland's body in P1, is Cooper is alt 'Ruth?' [Both Ruths are red haired like Lt Knox (also like Linney James who walked down the hallway at Universal Studios like Cindy Knox at the morgue in Buckhorn), alt Cooper in her spot who was sent by Gordon alt Col Davis?]. 2024.02.18 00:23 ColbyandLarry The Story of Richie Ashburn and His Day as a Sniper Gold Medalist

I feel there are many tales that can be told and re-woven when it comes to Richie Ashburn. He was a legendary man in Philadelphia, a Hall of Famer playing from 1948 thru 1959 with that crazy team. He then became a broadcaster for the Phillies, increasing the breadth and depths of the love for him in that great city, and he would become best friends with his partner Hall of Fame broadcaster Harry Kalas. Richie was an excellent hitter, an All Star, a Batting Champion, a hard-nosed speed demon with an axe to grind, and a beloved teammate. He was awesome.
Well one day Richie decided to add to his bonafides, in an especially dirty way by breaking the bones of a woman in the stands. It was a beautiful day in August, the 17th to be precise. It was 1957 and he was in Connie Mack Stadium to face the New York Giants. The game got underway, and Richie strode to the plate. And then something happened...
Ok let's back up for a minute. Why would this breaking of bones be considered a bonafide? Well I think the accuracy displayed in this moment(s) can be measured as an impressive skill, if we think dirty. I think that's what I'm saying. I am not saying that the Tilden Flash did this intentionally, I *think*. I mean, why would he do this on purpose?
Let's see...
A) Did he accept a wager from a teammate who questioned his barrel accuracy, because he failed to defend his batting title from 1955?
B) Did he have a beef with the Sports Editor of the Philadelphia Bulletin, Mr. Earl Roth?
C) Is the Ashburn family from Norway and part of a treasured family history of excellence in Biathlon, the sport where you race and shoot with tremendous accuracy at the same time?
D) Did the massive galactic pendulum of odds cross the zenith for two people at the exact same time? And then did the enormous gravity of this new plane of Murphy's Law shift the arms of time back in the other direction?
Let's decide together, fellow arbiters of the solvers of mystery. Because something happened..... Might I quote the famous co-leader of the Wyld Stallyns, Ted Theodore Logan, who said: "Strange things are afoot at the Circle K"
Strange things are afoot in the batters box, as Richie Ashburn steps in, his hands high on the handle of the bat. Giants right hander Ruben Gomez was on the mound looking for the sign, and a lady named Alice Roth was sitting in the stands down the 3rd base line, with her two grandsons. Richie got a pitch and hit a liner down the 3rd base line sailing sharply left towards the seats. It hit Alice right in the face. There was blood trickling down on to her clothes as fans scrambled and ushers raced over. The game was stopped for a bit while Alice received medical attention, she had a broken nose and she was placed on a stretcher. There were only 7,929 people in the stands that day, and poor Alice was a 300,000 to 1 chance of getting hit by a ball, once.
Once.
While she was on the stretcher and being moved out of the lower portion of the stands and towards the inside of the stadium, the game resumed. Richie stepped back in, he gripped the bat, and on the very next pitch he swung.
*crack*
He hit another foul ball, hurtling in to the stands.
*whack*
It hit Alice. In the leg. While on the stretcher.
Madness. WHAT? Alice Roth was rushed away, thankfully before a 3rd pitch came Richie's way. She was taken to the hospital, a bone in her leg was diagnosed as broken. Her grandsons stayed, and the Phillies asked the two kids and Alice's husband, Earl Roth the sports editor in the press box, to come to the Phillies clubhouse. They received free tickets, autographed baseballs, and the kids were delighted. Later that night at the hospital, the two kids spoke to Alice, and amongst the withertoos and the whyfors, they asked her this: "Grandma, do you think you can go to an Eagles game and get hit in the face with a football?"
Richie went 4 for 4 that day, if you think about it. The box score reads 2 for 4, with 2 Doubles to the outfield. I'm saying he also had 2 Hits, to the stands :( OoOoo that's dark. After this whole thing, Richie visited Alice the next day, did not bring his bat with sniper scope attachment, and the two of them struck up a long lasting friendship. The Roth family now speaks of this as Family Legend. Maybe with the grand proclamation being how Grandma Alice helped Richie Ashburn receive his Sniper Gold Medal (those are my words to be honest)
A wonderful story of precision, circumstance, and the balance of luck; Mrs. Roth experienced bad luck in getting sent to the hospital by no action of her own, and good luck as she won a friendship with a Hall of Famer that adorns her family with sparkling sentimental history for generations.
Both sides of the coin were brought in to existence for Richie and Alice that day in August, the 17th to be precise.

SYNOPSIS:
The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse— the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man— brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.
The film follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson; Ultraman, The Hunger Games franchise) a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio; Holly & Ivy, Unstable), and haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before.
Recently fired and desperate for work so that he can keep custody of Abby, Mike agrees to take a position as a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. But Mike soon discovers that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems. With the aid of Vanessa, a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail; You, Mack & Rita), Mike’s nights at Freddy’s will lead him into unexplainable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.

Heated Rivalry has massive staying power, it's been within the Top 20 for the last six months, but this is the first time Rachel Reid's Hockey Romance has grabbed first place.
Sorry Ruby, Tessa Bailey has claimed the #1 Top Author spot! Interestingly Tessa only has Captivated by Tessa Bailey & Eve Dangerfield in the Top 20 Mentions, meaning her wide backlog must be generating a lot of recs and mentions throughout the sub.
S.J. Tilly has been listed 3 times for the new & upcoming books in the past, but this month was the first time she broke into the Top 20 Authors. The recent release of Dom has generated many gush posts and I know I've been seeing Nero and King mentioned all over the sub lately.

Short random musings for August...

Kate Canterbury dominated the month of August, snagging both top two spots for most mentioned books with In a Jam and The Worst Guy. She's done this once before, in May of 2023, with the same two books, cementing them as Sub-Favorites ^TM.
While both Lily Mayne and Ruby Dixon were pushed out of the top 3 for most mentioned books, Ruby Dixon refused to relinquish her title as most mentioned author in the sub. Ruby Dixon has been the most mentioned author for every single month since the stats began in March (with the except of July when Lily Mayne managed to edge out the top spot by 1 mention and pushed Ruby to #2).
Looking back at some of the most interesting and popular posts this month we had happy vibes with If you build it, they will come. A love letter to this subreddit. and an update On the State of KU and Authors Going Wide. There was an interesting dive into An unscientific classification of villain MMCs and we had an AMA with Heather Guerre. 2023.07.25 21:15 Archies_Mail I took photos of every possible freelancer leader, gave them names, and catalogued them all for your viewing pleasure.

This took some time to do, but I think in the end this was a valuable tool for me to use, and I figured I might as well share it with others too. As far as I could find, there are 72 unique targets, 12 for each hair type (Black, Brown, Blonde, Red, Grey, and Bald]. Their non-physical tells are always randomized, so I can't help you there, but at least with this guide you'll know who you're looking for.
To best use this guide, match your syndicate leaders physical tells to the list below (Note that sometimes two or more leaders will share enough physical traits to make them a potential target, necessitating matching their behavioral traits), then, once you have one or two looks matches, check out the corresponding imgur album to quickly discover who it is you're looking for. Ben & Bill blend - alt, Ben is married to Catherine/Phyllis.
