On-Air Discussions
On-Air Discussions are dedicated weekly discussion posts for currently airing dramas. They are hosted by volunteers from the community to create a dedicated space each week to discuss what has happened in that drama for that week. On-Air drama discussions reduce clutter on the front page of the subreddit by centralizing discussion and all related content, such as news updates, previews, interviews, behind the scenes videos, etc.. For currently airing dramas with On-Air discussions, no other discussion posts are allowed, see our full Rules for details.
A schedule of current On-Airs can be seen in our sidebar. See the latest On-Air discussions and here is our On-Air Discussions Roster, which links all our previous On-Air discussions.
Want to learn more about our On-Air Discussions system? Feel passionately about an upcoming drama and want to host its weekly On-Air Discussions? See our full explanation, guidelines and policies on On-Air Discussions here.
Drama Reviews
We welcome well-written detailed drama reviews. Reviews should be for completed series only -- that is the series has finished airing all of its episodes and the reviewer has watched the entire drama. Reviews where the reviewer has not fully completed the drama will be removed. For those that just want to write a short blurb about a drama, feel free to share in any of our weekly discussion threads instead. See our tips on how to write a helpful review.
Reviews are moderated according to our moderation guidelines for reviews for content. Other rules and policies, such as On-Air or review megathread rules, still apply. Notably, reviews are subject to moderation for frequency under our Rehashed Discussions rule.
Fanart And Memes
We have a Designated Day, currently every Tuesday from 00:00-23:59 KST (UTC +9), on which we allow our members to attempt to share one (1) self posts of either qualified Fanart or Memes on KDRAMA. Fanart and meme posts are not permitted outside of Designated Days. Please review our Designated Day rules fully before submission.
News
We are not a news oriented subreddit though they are permitted as posts with restrictions on type of and source of news. Please fully review our Rules and Polices on news items before submission. If you are seeking to be kept updated with any entertainment news other than official casting news, we strongly recommend you seek out other sources beyond our subreddit such as Soompi.
OST And Promotional Material
We only allow official OSTs and promotional material (previews, teasers, posters) in our subreddit with restrictions on frequency and airing status of dramas. Please fully review our Rules on OSTs and promotional material before submission. There are post title requirements, please follow them.

Background

This is v90.0.0 (v89.0.0, v88.0.0, v87.0.0, v86.0.0, etc...) of my PDQ installers and includes all installers from the previous package with old versions removed.
PDQ is not required.
All packages:
  1. ...install silently and don't place desktop shortcuts
  2. ...disable all auto-update and stat-collection/telemetry "features" possible
  3. ...work with the free or paid version of PDQ Deploy but do not require it - each package can run standalone (e.g. from a thumb drive) or pushed with SCCM/GPO/etc.

Download

Primary:
Download the torrent.
Secondary: Download the self-extracting archive from one of the repos:
Mirror HTTPS HTTP Location Host
Official link link US-NY SGC-Hosting
#1 link link FR mxmod
Tertiary: (source code)
The Github page contains all scripts and wrapper files used in the pack. Check it out if you want to see the code without downloading the full binary pack, or just steal them for your own use. Note that downloading from Github directly won't work - you need either this provided pack or go manually fetch all the binaries yourself in order to just plug them in and start working.

Pack list

Installers:
(Updates in bold. All installers are 64-bit unless otherwise marked)
  • 7-Zip v24.06
  • 7-Zip v24.06 (x86)

  • TightVNC v2.8.84
  • TightVNC v2.8.84 (x86)

  • VLC media player v3.0.20
  • WinSCP v6.3.3 (x86)
  • Wireshark v4.2.5 ! -- NEW
Utilities:

Instructions

  1. Import all .xml files from the \job files directory into PDQ deploy (it should look roughly like this after you've imported them).
  2. Copy all files from the \repository directory to wherever your repository is.
  3. All jobs reference PDQ's $(Repository) variable, so make sure it's set in preferences.

Package Notes

  1. Read the notes in the PDQ interface for each package, they explain what that installer does. Basically, most packages use a .bat file to accomplish multi-step installs with the free version of PDQ. You can edit the batch files to see what they do; most just delete "All Users" desktop shortcuts and things like that. changelog-v##-updated-.txt has version and release history.
  2. Thunderbird:
    • Thunderbird is configured to use a global config file stored on a network share. This allows for settings changes en masse. By default it's set to check for config updates every 120 minutes.
    • You can change the config location, update frequency, OR disable this behavior entirely by editing thunderbird-custom-settings.js.
    • A copy of the config file is in the Thunderbird directory and is called thunderbird-global-settings.js
    • If you don't want any customizations, just edit Thunderbird's .bat file and comment out or delete all the lines mentioning the custom config files.

Integrity

The file \integrity verification\checksums.txt is signed with my PGP key (0x07d1490f82a211a2, pubkey included). You can use this to verify package integrity.
If you find a bug or glitch, PM me or post it here. Advice and comments are welcome and appreciated.

Donations

These packs will always be free and open-source. If you feel like giving away your hard-earned cash to strangers on the internet you may do so here:

2024.05.27 09:11 bhuether Pragmatic tips for tweaking Asus z790 Proart Creator to gain performance?

Hi, just built computer with i7 14700k, Asus z790 Proart Creator, 2x32 g.skill Trident Z5 5400, Samsung 990 pro, thermalright phantom spirit Evo, thermalright contact frame, thermal grizzly kryonaut, Corsair rm1000x. Fractal torrent.
Now trying to determine additional steps for maximum, stable performance. The bios options are insane in their depth. All the CPU core and memory related settings...
What I have done so far:
Bios:
Windows:
Fans:
Testing:
Cinebench r24 yields GPU/multi/single 12000/2000/130. I haven't done the throttle test yet, but suppose I should?
From what I read, those results all seem as expected.
Black magic disk speed test showed 5300 for read and write, then after setting to highest performance in Samsung magician speeds went up to 5900. Not sure if that is normal. I was expecting 5900 with no tweaking based on what I read, just keeping default performance.
So question, have I already done what is needed, or are there additional steps that are truly worth it? I am not looking to do crazy overclocking or anything. I don't want fans constantly spinning up. Just curious if maybe CPU undervolting would be good next step, or whatever else might be recommended?
I don't do gaming. I mainly need good performance mainly for 3d programs like blender, unreal engine, after effects.
Choice of AMD GPU was so that it works with Mac Sonoma which I am preparing to get up and running next.
Thanks for any tips you might have!

2024.05.22 16:35 akasaiga Sub-folders and how do I remove them?

Recent migrator from Qbitt, Qbitt allowed you to download an individual from a torrent and also to save it as a file rather a file inside a folder. How do I replicate the same. For Example, I don't like having multiple episodes of the same TV show in different folder but as individual files next to each other, this helps my video player to identify them as a part of a sequence and automatically adding them to the playlist.
Please help.
SOLVED: Solution by u/nachoha - "Settings -> Transfers -> Files -> Enable Auto-select files in new transfers -> click the configure button next to that -> go to the options tab -> Enable Move Single File Out of Containing Folder (While you're in there, on the filter tab you can put matches in the never select field to filter out things like jpgs, nfo files, etc)"

2024.05.21 11:00 -Skav- Calendar of film and TV series types available for streaming?

I've often asked myself that question, so I thought, why not ask it?
The question might seem both twisted and fairly simple: is there a website or websites with all the films and TV series released on all the streaming platforms?
You could ask me: what would be the point?
The aim would be for users to be able to keep up to date with all the releases on all the streaming platforms so that they can create their filters in their tools like autobrr and others to auto download them from their torrent website.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

How do you see battery health?
I saw someone post this image showing that they finally have battery health options. I have an IPad Air 5 and I don’t see any of this. How do I see it? I, running the newest iPadOS so I can’t think of any technical reason why it’s not there. I want to limit my charge to 80%.
I don’t understand why features seem to be gatekept to specific devices. It’s all Apple we should all have the exact same settings

2024.05.12 20:35 Table-Games-Dealer Guide I sent to a friend

On smoke breaks I talk with a friend about my dreams of escaping the casino and talk about my rust adventures. He asked me to tell him where to start programming and what project to do. I am going to video call with him to go to get to hello world but wrote this guide so he could follow and repeat.

Terminal:

Most code in the world does not have a graphical user interface (gui). Such artwork is expensive to make and costly to run. Instead we work with the bare minimum in the terminal.
The terminal is a text interface where you can have powerful control of your computer. There are things that dont have any buttons, but everything has logic in terminal.
I am on Mac and use Zsh as my native terminal, I think you have Command Prompt but it will depend on you version of windows. I highly recommend you study your shell sooner than later. It can make life way easier.
I know some windows but can not give you too much advice. No matter what coding language you want to use you are likely going to want to use bash to automate stuff. I used bash to automate the login of my 6 Old School RuneScape accounts. Took me several minutes every play session, turned into one click with some light coding.

Interactive Development Environment:

Choose an IDE and look at all the options. check all the settings. I use VSCode. Look for extensions, configure them all. They can be incredibly powerful for your understanding of what your code is doing and what the borrow checker wants from you.
Don't stick with VSCode, different IDEs provide vastly different experiences per language. Always shop around.

Cargo:

Cargo is rusts package manager. It can get code from the internet, compile and ship your code, do versioning and most of the tedious stuff of coding.
Learn cargo well this is how you take your code and do things with it.
Do beware that cargo allows you to download arbitrary code from the internet. Don't go downloading sketchy shit and getting pwnd. But for big projects absolutely go ahead this community is awesome.
There is no need to enable git versioning with cargo, but it would be cool should you lose your computer your code would still be in the cloud and retrievable.

Rust's Borrow Checker:

The borrow checker is apart of the rust compiler, the thing that turns your text into computer code. It is going to be the bane of your existence should you stay with rust.
The borrow checker prints to terminal a highly detailed and specific commentary on your code explaining what it will not accept as valid rust code.
Read everything it says, often the borrow checker will explicitly tell you what to do to solve the problem. This will be most of your workflow, making the borrow checker happy. Once the rules of the borrow checker are followed, your program will run flawlessly. It may not make sense logically, But in a memory sense, the point of rust, safe.
If you use the borrow checker in the IDE you may get some hyperlinks that let you jump through your code to debug way faster than scrolling.
Do be warned though that there are bugs in rust, but none that beginners like us have to worry about.

Shop around for languages:

Rust is making me learn computer science and bring me really close to flipping bits and I think that is really cool.
Python is quick and easy to use. You can get competent in a month.
Python is 100x slower than rust but waaaaay more fun to use.
Rust is faster, but takes 10x longer to write at this point. But when I have completed something it is safe, fast, and as exact as I could want something.
If I wanted a job right away I would learn JavaScript, JS runs 90% of the internet and the majority of the jobs. But it's 29 years old, slow and unsafe. Its ecosystem is huge. Memes are bad. No dommy borrow checker.
C++ is the parent language to Rust. Haskell is also a big influencing factor. I would learn some about these languages and why rust 'fixes' them.

Bacon:

One tool I find so helpful in rust is called Bacon. It will automaticly rerun your program whenever you change the code. So instead of having to manually ask the computer to run it can always be running on the side, along with great displays of the borrow checker and clippy text recommendations.
Must have use it every time I VSCode open.

Clippy:

\\ this is a linter whose implications I have yet to understand see comments below!
Clippy is the formatter cargo uses to proofread and restyle your code. Very convenient when you get all sweaty and shit out some code from your stream of conscious then you can type one command and make it look intentional again.

Configure VSCode to support rust by downloading these extensions:

Setup Hotkeys:

Setup a hotkey in vscode to run rust in its cargo run format with code runner.
This is rather complicated and cost me way to much time, but go to extentsions, Code-Runner. Click Code-Runner: Executor Map Edit Settings.json.
look for the rust entry in the field
{ "code-runner.executorMap": { ~ "rust": sadness_and_lies, ~ }, "code-runner.clearPreviousOutput": true, "editor.rulers": [120], } Should be: "rust": "cargo run # $fileName",
Then go to hotkeys in the VSCode settings and search code-runner.
Edit the entry:
Run Code
code-runner.run
To your specifed hotkey. This will make VSCode use cargo to run your code. This hotkey should also run other languages should you do so.
Bacon must be added to your path. This may be difficult on windows I dont know but I challenge you to EITHER:
Make a profile in your terminal that has Bacon in the path (I failed to do this but got Zsh to run a Bash script that brings bacon to path on startup),
or make a macro/hotkey in vscode to bring them to path (this is what I did in VSCode only becasue I dont understand Zsh profiles enough... hours wasted)
oh by the way Bacon can be installed with 'cargo install bacon' and is found in root/.cargo/bin
My solution to VSCode was to add
[ { "key": "cmd+b", "command": "workbench.action.terminal.sendSequence", "args": { "text": "bacon\u000D" } }, { "key": "alt+b", "command": "workbench.action.terminal.sendSequence", "args": { "text": "export PATH=$PATH:/Users/work/.cargo/bin\u000D" } }, ]
to the keybindings.json
this lets me opt+b to bring cargo tools to Zsh path,
then cmd+b to start bacon.
Note that this will bring any cargo shell tools to path. One nice one I like is Exa, a file viewer like Dir but better
I know this was a wall of text but once you can do this 👍

Well that's it. Thanks for reading. Thanks for sharing everything I know is from the internet.

2024.05.10 21:25 Kexotv Permission denied on qBittorrent docker when downloading on mounted usb

Permission denied on qBittorrent docker when downloading on mounted usb
SOLUTION IN COMMENTS
Hi, when I start downloading torrent in qbttorrent, I get "Errored" status, which means 'Permission denied' from qBittorents logs.
  • Device: Raspberry Pi 5
  • OS: Raspberry OS Lite, CasaOS
  • USB is in EXT4 fromat
So I thought - maybe I should check permissions on my usb.
  1. So first I checked if I gave privileges to qbittorent docker on CasaOS:
https://preview.redd.it/86w4pzb9enzc1.png?width=590&format=png&auto=webp&s=db0a47177d53c5bb695257a5c279129346a69f03
  1. I gave usb folder (mnt/usb) permissions using chown - I tried these commands:
chmod -R 775 /mnt
chmod -R 777 /mnt
chmod -R 750 /mnt
chown -R mato:mato /mnt
chown -R mato:root/mnt
chown -R root:root /mnt
chown -R mato /mnt
I also did it for all subfolders of usb, and of course I always restarted after applying one of those commands. And guess what? Nothing helped.
  1. I made sure I have correct /etc/fstab config:
UUID=UDID /mnt/usb ext4 defaults,auto,users,rw,noatime,nofail 0 0
Here I've also tried other options - that didn't end up well because after applying one of the suggested commands, my raspberry pi couldn't boot up (yikes - had to fix it trough ubuntu flash which took 2 hours).
4 . I've tried changing different directory in fstab, for example i've set usb to be mounted in /home directory, according to this guy it worked for him, but not for me.
I've checked almost all forums and reddit posts but I couldn't solve this issue.
edit: typos

2024.05.08 22:27 my_final_days_xoxo Data limit

Hi , I live in a dorm with a few of my friends . We have a cheap router and a an internet connection that has a not so big daily data limit . We agreed to buy a new router and I will handle installing openwrt and making everything networking related happen . But , due to the limit on usage that is not that huge , we also agreed on making a internal data limit for each of us so none of us downloads something and takes away the ration of another. Is there anything I could do with openwrt to rationalize the data ? Mainly just automatic counting of data used and auto qos slowing of both download and upload after the user hits his local limit ? Before you say it , I know having a daily limit sucks but it's the best isp in my area since I live in a modest country . Btw we have 2 different internet connection , the first one I talked about is fast and has a great ping if still in data budget but has a limit ,the second is completely unlimted but a bit slower , we are gonna throw every torrent , download ... to the slower one and keep basic day to day usage / streaming / gaming on the first one. Also I would like to add that I won't upgrade my internet since this is the best I can get here in the are , there are no more upgrades , so ...

2024.05.08 20:18 SpengGorgon [HELP] can't upload after download finished

Hello, I've had this long term issue for a few years now. I use utorrent, I have auto downloading of the latest version so it's not version dependent. Also, I've had multiple ISP (I'm in the USA). Windows 10. I don't generally use a VPN but doing so doesn't seem to affect this behavior but I'm not sure.
While I'm downloading a particular torrent it will upload but once I'm done the torrent will no longer upload. my max upload rate is set to 1MB/s. I'm fairly sure everything else is set to default. I'd really like to solve so I can help share the files I'm downloading.
I have another issue which may or may not be related: sometimes when I'm downloading, the torrent will get really slow but if I shut down (File>>Exit) and restart utorrent it will typically start downloading much faster. This isn't a big deal but I'd be interested if anyone has an idea.

2024.05.05 19:27 burgerpatrol [HELP] how to make a pirated copy of a game appear in your Steam Library? (Fyi I already purchased the game on steam)

Hi so here's what's up.
Me and my friends are planning to rent this whole vip section of a net cafe to organize a mini-tournament (only for us) of Tekken 8. We all own a copy of the game, purchased through Steam.
Now this net cafe has a torrented/pirated copy of Tekken 8. It got us wondering, instead of redownloading Tekken 8 in all of those computers, maybe it's possible to sort of link(?) that torrented copy that's already in those computers to our Steam accounts so that it appears that it's already downloaded? Then just auto-patch it from Steam? Is this possible? Because even though they have this torrented copy of Tekken 8, it still appears as not downloaded in our Steam accounts
Thanks! Hopefully you guys can save us some time!
