2024.05.19 20:40 Desperate-Story3087 We -(F40) and my ex (M40)- loved each other 16 years ago.. I still love him, does he still love me?

Short version: This question is more towards men than women, as I seek the answer to a question: would you still love someone after nearly two decades? And what would you do if your ex from decades ago express her still ongoing feelings towards you?

Long Version:
I (F40) and my ex (M40),we had some most passionate and deep love story in our early 20s.. We were together for 3 and half years, living, travelling together as well as moving countries and being in distance.. We would be most comfortable with each other and happy, popping each day with energy as fireworks! Indeed, it was hot but also very intense, very not well communicating time for both of us. We were young and with past childhood traumas.. He was INTJ and avoidant, I am INFP and anxious person..
The break up came from my part. After arguments on and off, I was feeling like he couldn't understand my emotions and I couldn't understand his logical mind. I cheated, he was broken. Yes, I still see his eyes and face breaking in pain that I caused.. I also didn't understand why I would have done such a thing, I felt shame, still feel it.. And yet, he still wanted me back, after all.. But, so ashamed of myself, and arguments, I was too scared to move to his country.. I was too guilty and ashamed but never really stopped loving him.
Life went on and every now and then we would reconnect online. As friends. Meanwhile, I would start family, on his side- he progressed with his work and passions.. And every time I would write to him, send him picture etc, he would "love" it. When my first one was born and they rolled me to emergency c section, i was worrying, if i die, who will inform that man that I'm no longer here? I would still cry, missing him terribly, while caring for my children.While exchanging few messages, he would jokingly invite me to his country to visit which made butterflies to my stomach. All of this was happening and at some point I realized i was still emotionally attached to him and it was unfair to my current life and children..and that I need to stop writing as I had still feelings towards him. And so, he stopped . That was 5 years after breaking up.
From that moment, our communication only happened for birthdays, I would send him wishes.. And each year passing, my feelings never really subsided. Meanwhile my marriage falls apart (for other reasons, from the beginning we were great friends and not really partners) and my ex husband and I, we remained great friends, doing really fine co-parenting.
I know my ex had a girlfriend in meantime, that he eventually broke up-information that he shared with me. Recently, as now divorced, I happened to travel across Europe and accidently transited (on train that stopped there ) via place we used to live together and ..I sent him pic of that train station that we both remember so well, which he "loved " again. That placed triggered me , I saw our past again.. and how actually happy we were and how I and my actions, have let that go..
This year 16 years passed. Yes, this is ..as ridiculous as it gets.
We wrote in the past to each other about forgiving ourselves and appreciating that time.. but I never once said that I still love him and I always loved him. I never stopped loving him. And I don't want him to get scared that I'm to be an obsessive person now who with no shame comes into someone life again.. But I really wish I could open up and let him know about my feelings.. Hoping, that perhaps he has similar feelings still too..
Perhaps I am writing all this vent here to ask : what would you do, lovely strangers?
Do love can exist after 16 years? Do men actually still care after such a long time? Should I tell him all of this..
I am too old for walking ashamed after my actions in the past.. But I also know I want to be honest with myself and wont accept being with anyone else.. That's something that life brings once we get wiser and mature.

Hi! Here is my experience getting an hair cut in Seoul:
Price: I did a lot of research on hair salons in Seoul and decided on The Day's Hair in Hongdae after finding it on Creatrip. I booked a hair cut package(Cut+Wash+Styling) a month before arriving in Seoul. They had a special on Creatrip for this salon where you get a free hair treatment if you write a review after the cut. The hair treatment is generally prices at $30 so I thought it was a great deal. I paid a deposit of $3.76 through Creatrip and paid the rest, $20.89 at the salon.
Experience: I scheduled the cut the first day of my trip so booked the first appointment. They did a quick consultation with me to understand what kind of cut I wanted. The person was very communicative and suggested styles that would suit my face but was not too pushy with her recommendations. I decided on face framing bangs with long layers. However, I did kinda left it to her on how she wants to do it cause she seemed to have a great vision on what would suit my face the best.
She first washed my hair, did the free hair treatment(put on the treatment and then put a steaming machine on top) and then got to cutting my hair. The ease and clarity she cut my hair with was super cool to watch. Then she asked how i wanted my hair styled and I really wanted the effortless waves like kpop idols so she started styling my hair after drying it with a curling iron. I curl my hair often but i've never been able to curl it like she did. It looked exactly like a kpop idol's hair.
She also did offer my iced tea/coffee while styling my hair which is very common in salons in korea.
After styling, I paid the rest of amount. I didn't get to write a review for them for the free hair treatment until weeks later but they didn't ask me while paying and were pretty chill about it.
Conclusion: This salon was pretty budget friendly but I think they did a really good job. Hair stylists in Korea no matter where you go are extremely skilled and my results were amazing and the service was great so would 100 percent recommend!
Side Note: Foreign friendly salons tend to be a bit overpriced, if you can speak a bit of korean or are ok with using papago I would recommend local salons. I messaged a few local korean salons through kakao talk for hair wash and styling for later in my trip and let them know I'm a foreigner and they were all okay with it. However, wash and styling is usually on a walk-in basis and when I visited a clinic they were too busy so wasn't able to get my hair styled but the price was under $10 in local salons.

Yesterday in a thread about Ghost of Tsushima, fellow redditor commented that as a reply to my post and it actually works. Huge performance gain for Ghost of Tsushima on PC.

I'm on 1660 Super and before deleting the folder the game ran at around 40fps on high settings. After deleting it the game now runs at around 65fps. This is before even turning FSR3 on.

A Stochastic Populated Argentina was the first country map I made. The current 'equitable' balance does reduce the advantage of the most dense areas, but I think this seed shows that I need to work out some way to more equitably distribute the locations within countries that have a single lopsided population center.
I considered regenerating the seed for A Stochastic Populated World, after it generated two locations in the same city, but, well random is as random does.
I also considered re-doing A Stochastic Rejected Panorama, when I saw a shitty location - but there are clues!

Introduction

The Stochastic maps are large randomly-generated maps that use population data to place locations where people live. Generally, locations will be in populated areas, though rural areas with even a few structures nearby appear as well. I made these maps because most maps tend to focus on rural locations and meta-learnable locations, but I generally find urban areas more interesting to roam around. And while World is much more urban than it used to be, its distribution is perplexingly strange. I hope other people find them interesting as well.
I welcome any feedback about maps to include, mode + time settings, standings, summary statistics of interest and how they're displayed - whatever. Particularly, with the rotating country maps, please feel welcome to suggest any country you would like to see added to the list.

Princess Rolaea fell into a seated position on the floor as her Steward was positioned next to her. The other soldiers who were captured from the team she had been leading were behind. “I demand to speak to your leader.” Growled the Karvrithak princess as the humans walked about, almost gloating at their catch.
“You’ll get your chance. I gotta make some calls first.” Came a voice from behind view. The older Karvrithak next to her fake cleared his throat to get the princess’ attention. “You know, princess. Now that we are captured.” To which Rolaea interjected, “I wouldn’t have been if you had done your duty.” Making the older Karvrithak pause in annoyance. “There were too many between me and you for me to have carried out that duty; I have to now follow the rules for… that.” The princess froze for a moment. “You can’t be serious, Sarvik.”
Sarvik nods without looking at the princess, instead looking for the man he saw fighting with her. “Our culture is built upon tradition, even ones you might not wish to be a part of. You were beaten in single combat by a male.” The princess interjects, “Not true. Two of our solders were fighting with me.” To which Sarvik nods, “Which makes it an even more impressive feat.” He gets a growl of annoyance in return.
A human woman walked over, hearing them talk, “What is going on over here?” sitting down on a crate in front of the prisoners. Sarvik looked at the human. “Ah, maybe you can help. Who was the one by himself during the fight.” Sitting up, the human smiled. “That would be our fearless leader. Didn’t want anyone to risk their life as our formation required four in front of you.” Rolaea sneered. “You mean your trap.”
The human gasped at the accusation, placing a hand on her chest in mock surprise. “Just because your senses were not keen enough to notice us doesn’t mean it was a trap. We even called out for you to surrender as you’re surrounded, and you chose to fight.” Getting a nod of agreement from the Steward, who got an elbow for agreeing with the human, causing a grunt of pain. “That spot is a little tender from the fight.” Which got another one from the princess: “That is for your failure in duty.”
The human woman pointed a finger at the pair as if they were children. “Don’t make me separate you two. So, you were speaking earlier.” And Sarvik nods, “Does your leader come from a noble bloodline.” Which made the human smirk. “He would say he does.” Before taking a moment to pose and take a mock tone of the rag-tag group's leader, “My grandfather would tell me stories of how we were descendants of Spartan kings of over 4,000 years.” Getting a laugh from the woman and a nod from Sarvik, “Is there any possibility that is true?” and the human shrug, “Could be. It was a long time ago, and I remember hearing something about how everyone is related to royalty in some way or another because of mixing.”
Rolaea smiles. “See, his bloodline is too diluted. Also, I never heard of the Spartans so how much of a warrior family could they be?” Getting another laugh from the woman “They weren’t a family. They were an entire culture who just became part of a country known as Greece. They never died out or went extinct, they just started calling themselves Greeks instead of Spartans.” Looking back and forth between the two, Sarah started to smile more as she realized what the conversation had been about.
Sarvik nodded in understanding. “I see. What were the beliefs of these Spartans?” Causing the human to think for a while, “Well, I remember hearing the only way to get your name on a grave is for men to have died in combat or women to have died during childbirth. Both were seen as a way of supporting Sparta. They were fierce warriors; often, just a single word could keep an army out of the country. Oh, and marriage was some kind of ritualistic combat, I think.” By this time, Nick walked over. “What is all this commotion.”
He looked around at a giggling Sarah, a stoic-looking male Karvrithak, and what he could only assume to be a blushing female Karvrithak. Sarah looked up. “Oh, just talking about Spartian marriage fighting.” To which Nick sighed, “It wasn’t combat. Spartan men would meet up with the women they found attractive during the night and take them back to their barracks or someplace else.” Sarvik tilted his head some. “Do you believe Rolaea to be attractive?” Getting a wide-eyed look from the princess, “Sarvik, you stop this right now.” The human male looked confused and looked over. “To be honest, I never really thought of a Karvrithak as beautiful or not, but… I mean, if we weren’t at war… maybe, kinda.”
Sarvik nodded once more. “Then it is settled, the combat took place at night, and it seems all the conditions for both cultures are met, or at least enough to be considered valid under the mixed cultures doctrine.” Nick looked even more confused as he looked at the male Karvrithak, then the female who looked ready to die from embarrassment, and his second in command Sarah, who looked ready to burst from laughter and when he remembered what they were talking about, marriage, got his own look of shock and horror “No no no no no no.”
Sarvik nods. “You are to be paired with Princess Rolaea.” Which was what Sarah needed to hear to burst out laughing finally and almost fell off the crate. The whole thing caused everyone to look over, prisoner and non-alike. Rolaea: “We are in agreement there, human. There is no way this is going to happen.” Sarvik took a deep breath. “I’m afraid, as Stewart of the royal family, it is my duty to inform your father.” Nick shook his head. “No, there is no way I can marry a furball.” Sarah, for her part, finally fell to the floor before managing to get something out that wasn’t laughter: “Bum bum bum bum.” To the tune of Here Comes the Bride getting a kick from Nick, which only returned her to her crazed laughing state, which by now, more people started figuring out what was going on, and some more laughter started, only one from the Karvrithak.
Rolaea turned to look at which one of her soldiers was laughing. “Whoever is laughing is going to have their tongue cut out.” Before turning to Nick, “If we kill Sarvik, no one will tell.” To which Sarah’s hand shot up, “I will.” And Sarvik nods. “We have a second in agreement from the groom’s side. We just have to contact your father. He will agree to the cease-fire the humans have been asking for.” Nick looks down. “We would have to kill more than Sarvak.” When a cough from behind caught his attention, causing Nick to look back. “Command finally answered.”
Nick took a deep breath and pointed a finger at the Karvrithaks. “No speaking.” And then pointed at Sarah, “Pull it together.” As the now out-of-breath woman took deep breaths to get it back, “Ok, ok. I’m done now.” Nick walked over and answered the line, talking about the success at capturing the high-value target in their area and how it was the princess.
After a few minutes of talking, Nick returned with a different look on his face, and Sarah wiped her eyes, having cried from laughing so hard. “Oh, I don’t think I can survive another laughing fit like that. It was too funny.” Nick took a deep breath, causing Sarah to look up in amused horror as Nick spoke, “Command told me to contact the Karvrithaks and use any means necessary to get them to agree to the cease-fire.” And Sarah smirked while holding in her laughter and got slapped upside the head for it.
She screamed in pain, “What was that for?” and Nick smiled. “You said if you started laughing, you were going to die. I just saved your life.” Taking a deep breath, Sarah nods. “I guess, but you could have held back.” Rolaea’s embarrassment died down enough that she started to glare at Nick. “If you think for a second, I will marry you. I would rather die!” Nick held a finger up and bopped Rolaea on the nose to silence her. “Not getting married.” Turned to Sarvik, “Going to get Tony to agree to a cease-fire anyway.” And then turned to Sarah, “Someone is getting a demotion.” To which she replied, “Worth it.”
Nick sighed and walked away to a secluded area he and Sarah would talk, and Sarah started to follow. “Though, I’m in agreement with killing the princess; it will be a nice revenge for everything the furballs have done to us since the war started.” A hand going to her sidearm. Nick turned to her “Put it away, I don’t like the idea either. It could at least be enough of a distraction to get the upper hand or get some end to this war.” Sarah looked at him seriously for the first time since starting the conversation with the aliens. Nick nods. “You have a weird way of grieving, you know that. Your humor was bad before, but this is twisted. No, we are not going to plan a red wedding. We’ll use it as a cover to regroup and.”
Sarah groaned out of frustration. “Why are we even listening to the human collation? They abandoned us, and then when our resistance group got good enough, they contacted us and started demanding we follow their orders.” Nick nods. “Ya, not like they started giving us intel, equipment, trained soldiers,” causing Sarah to stop him. “Ok, ok, you made your point… still… marriage?”
Nick shrugs at that. “When we started fighting, I thought about how men used to throw themselves on grenades to save others… I’ve always been ready to do that…. I guess to save lives, I’ll have to take an arrow to the knee.” Before starting to walk back in, a smile returned to Sarah’s face; without turning, Nick simply said, “Knew that would get that cursed smile back.”
The two Karvrithaks had been arguing again, with the princess drowning out the stewart whenever he tried to give the transmission frequency to contact the king. Nick picked up a clean… ish rag and shoved it into the princess’ mouth. “Alright, fine I accept.” Getting a muffled scream of anger from the princess followed by what was surely an obscenity-filled tongue lashing, defeated by a rag. Sarvick looked at Nick, angry for the first time. “We might be your prisoners, but that is no way to treat the princess or your future wife.” Nick nods some. “Would you like me to remove it and risk going deaf in that ear?” Pointing to the one that was on the side of the princess. A momentary glance from Sarvik at the princess who was still trying to yell between attempts to remove the rag stuck on her sharp teeth, got a “For now. The signal frequency is 195.2515.234.202. Also, I would refrain from using your human slur for our leader. He doesn’t much like being compared to a human breakfast cereal mascot.”
Nick nods, then helps Sarvik to his feet and turns to Sarah. “I could use my second in command.” Gets a sigh of annoyance as she rebuttons the strap holding her sidearm while standing. “OK.” After approaching the coms the operator puts in the frequency and releasing Sarvick’s hands he types in a code as the image of the king of the Karvrithaks comes on with a roar of a statement “How dare you lay a hand on my daughter if she is not returned to me within one earth hour I will glass the planet as I would rather see her dead than at the mercy of you lowly.” As Nick decided to throw him off his game, “Calm down, Dad.” Causing the king to stop. “What did you call me, and why is Sarvik standing next to you?”
Sarvik coughed to grab the attention of the group and to make this more noble than commoner “It is with much honor and regret that I have to inform you that this human has successfully completed the right of binding.” This information caused the King’s lower Jaw to drop, and Sarah chimed in, “Funny you mentioned hand earlier because he’s taking your daughter’s hand in marriage.” The king looked outraged. “You’re going to cut her hand off for marriage!?” and Sarvik raised a hand. “It is a figure of speech, Your Majesty. Humans call grabbing another’s hand with your own taking. Often done before the rings are placed on the hand of the one being wed.” Nick and Sarah both turn to look at Sarvik, who doesn’t turn his head. “A steward must be informed on all relevant information.”
Nick turns back to the king. “As your future son-in-law, I ask that you have your forces stand down. Don’t want to accidentally kill a relative of mine, do you?” The king let out a low growl of annoyance as a spitting sound was heard behind the group. The princess finally worked the rag out of her mouth. “I object to this wedding.” only getting a yell in response: “I can’t stop it. If Sarvik has said the terms have been met, I would have to break years of tradition and condemn our bloodline to death to break it.”
The two humans went wide-eyed as they didn’t realize how seriously the Karvrithaks took their tradition. Turning his head, the king spoke solemnly, “Tell our generals to stand down and to return fire if fired upon.” The coms operator relayed the message to the human command, which quickly ordered a similar command. Turning back, the King looked like he was about ready to reach through the screen and strangle him. “Know this, human, if you have lied about your intent. I was originally planning on subjugating the humans, but I will exterminate your species if you are lying.” And Nick swallowed hard at the sudden realization that his plan of using this as a cover for the human forces to regroup was a bigger gamble than he first thought. Sarah smirked and turned to look up at Nick. “No pressure.”

2024.05.19 20:39 AlodarSylmor CLASSIC FRESH on Deviate Delight Update. Thousands playing, hundreds online at a time and quickly growing!

Recap: Deviate Delight is a NA RPPVP server that had a population of almost to zero. We chose this server to repopulate as a “fresh server” experience. Away from the negativity that comes with a populated established server. We have a guild on both sides and that are now recruiting more players. We want fresh level 1 characters that we can help get to 60. Not transfers. Transfers will not be invited to the either of the guilds.
An update on how that project is going:
  • We are still growing, with 100-150+ new members in each guild per day.
  • We have a cross-faction agreement to run the content in phases. 4 phases. We are still very much at the start of phase 1. Some of the early players are at 60, but they aren’t geared and the bulk of our player base is around the 10-40 range. There is still so much time to get into this and catch up.
  • We have peaked at 250 players online for the first time and with over 3000 characters made in the 4 guilds now. We have had to purge players who have not logged in to make room for this huge wave of new players.
  • We have found the EU players have no issue playing at all. The ping is low enough to not be an issue. The only issues are needing an NA account, and needing 30 days to pass before you can trade, mail or use the AH. There are EU and Oceanic players on both sides that are having a great time with this. Hi, First off, thanks for everyone's advice throughout this sub. I’ve done a lot of reading and the post responses have been very useful.
I am working on a lighting plan for my kitchen, dining room and family room in our mid-century ranch. The ceiling in the kitchen, dining room and family room is a ~12 degree vault split in the middle of the room with the starting height of 8 ft. and middle height of 12 ft. The ceiling in the panty, half bath, mudroom and stairs is 8 ft. For the kitchen area, the red dots in the picture are HALO Canless LED 3000K Slope Ceiling Direct Mount 4 inch White. The orange lights are pendants. The yellow dot lights I’m looking for something like this https://9010.it/en/products/2508-g product but am open to suggestions. The green dot lights i’m looking to do 2 track lights with 8 to 10 individual lights shining to the ceiling, like this https://www.instagram.com/p/C4h5\_62v3hK/. The purple dots (areas with 8 ft. ceilings) are TORCHSTAR 2 Inch LED deep recessed.
I have a few questions
  • Is the overall amount of light enough for the spaces?
  • Are we picking the right downlight for the kitchen? I wasn’t sure if there are any other good options for sloped ceiling that are deeply regressed/anti-glare and also if I'm picking the right size
  • How much overlap in bulb spread should there be in kitchen? Also, Are the number of lights overkill to the right of the sink?
  • Where to put lights over sink? I read in a previous post “If you decide you definitely need more light at the range, put light to either side so the light will come over your shoulders (minimizing any shadows). Same note applies to lighting at the sink since a single light from directly overhead will cast a shadow as you lean in to scrub a pot during cleanup.” Where do you put a light to achieve the “...put light to either side so the light will come over your shoulders”?
  • Should we add cans to the island in addition to the pendants?
  • Are the can lights we chose for the 8 foot ceilings ok?
  • Any other suggestions about anything else we can do better or differently?

2024.05.19 20:38 ollizu_ Sauna stones inspection and restack

I decided that it is finally (after ~6 years) a time to inspect and re-arrange the stones on my stove. I had no idea if the previous owners ever did that... should be done ~yearly, I know, but I've been postponing it for a long time, because I'm lazy and this stove packs at least ~100 kg of stones. So it is a sizeable job, but I just can't postpone it anymore.
Prerequisites: A good lamp, working gloves, some container for the stones, water supply, a wet towel, a vacuum cleaner, at least 2 hours of time and some sauna stones to replace any broken ones.
About photos: 1. The Skamet stove, with stones on the sides. A good stove for my basement sauna, which has the really low ceiling height of 195 cm (6'4"), in a house from 1930's. Provides a good löyly though. More from last year. 2. Rocks coming out. I put them in this container, then I plan to bring a water hose in and rinse them in the sauna. Too much of work to carry any of them out... 3. All stones out. They were in surprisingly good condition - ended up actually discarding only a handful of rocks (in the bucket) from the hottest part of the stove. And even those were not that bad, I've seen worse. 4. Surprisingly little debris and rock dust. (Some fell on to the floor.) The stove is pretty rusty, but intact, and looking alright overall. 5. Stones were kind of tricky to remove from the sides. Especially behind the heater, while leaning over the stove in an awkward position. The gap is really narrow, I couldn't fit my arm to reach the bottom. Had to use my fingers and two screwdrivews from the outside to wiggle the stones high enough so I could reach them. I left the two stones near the bottom... decided that it is not worth the time/effort, since they were visually intact. 6. Filling the container and rinsing the stones. Also vacuumed the stove and the floor from rock debris and wiped the mesh with a wet towel. 7. Stones back in. Not too tight, bigger on the bottom, smaller on the top, somewhat flat ones to the sides. I must have packed them a bit more tightly than they were, since I managed to sink in 1 extra box and did not even remove that many rocks. I've actually taken couple of löyly's after the job and what I can tell it really makes a difference. Heating time seems to be shorter by about 5-10 mins, although I think it still falls within the normal variation. There also seems to be less radiant heat in front of the stove. Higly recommended!

So I was diagnosed recently and currently working through titration with a private GP - currently Day 4 @ 40mg.
I’ve come to the conclusion I may be perimenopausal and this actually has triggered my symptoms worsening enough to seek an assessment.
Anyway, I bought some ‘Health and Her’ specific multivitamins (list of ingredients) and tried them together for the first time today.
I’ve felt so bizarre and borderline faint this afternoon with any minimal exertion activity.
Is Elvanse/Lisdexamfetamine known to interact with rando things that might cause this?
Or is it the meds?
Going to head over to perimenopause shortly and ask if it’s a common side effect of the supplement mix too but wanted to check in with you first.

There's something spiritual about going for a walk without a destination.
I just got back from a 4 mile walk. It's easy to get lost here. The parks system is truly amazing. I took off on one walking trail and ended on another on the other side of town.
I just walked and walked and walked....
I couldn't do that for a long time after our breakup, you know? Too much time to think about you.
Now, though, my mind is clear. I still think about you, but I don't cry in public (very often). It's nice. I've successfully thought myself out of hating you. There's an essential truth to being out in nature, it makes you think about the bigger picture.
What's our bigger picture? To me, it's a story about two people desperately trying to cling to genuine connection, in the face of frankly dire circumstances.
There's something kind of beautiful about that, even as that connection died with the changing seasons. I'm still waiting to see what will spring anew in its place.

Hello everyone,
I have played the game for several hours from now and reach 9.0 in all nations (except Sweden sorry) and I'm starting to play 9.3.
I used to play planes on their strengths like staying fast in sabre, use mig at some altitude, etc...
I recently unlocked the mig-19PT but it's still stock and I'm trying to play around his energy retention and try to energy trap my enemies. If nobody plays this with me, I'm doing some passes in the furball at high speed (usually can't do more than 3).
But I'm facing a big problem right now, the games are 5 minutes lengths with one of the teams disintegrated. When it's one my side I have nothing to say but I want to improve on what should I do when there is still 10 enemies alive and I am left single (as it's useless to try to land as they will get you on the airfield easily since aaa is not competent). And most importantly, how should I play before my team disintegrate to change the issue in my favor.
I tried to dogfight more early with the mig-19 but it ends up that the fight move to the furball and I'm getting third partied with absolutely no impact on the game.
As I want to remember, all the 9.3 planes I play are new, so barely stock performance with no missiles.

We have an existing gas insert fireplace. We tore down the stone facade and are down to just plywood and the fireplace.
I’d like to do shiplap on the wall, but realize I need to keep a 6-7” buffer around the fireplace.
My questions: 1. It appears I need 6” from the sides and 7” from the top for this model. Is the plywood already in violation of that? 2. If I do the shiplap I’ll need to stop it 6” short of the fireplace. What are options for bridging the distance between the ship lap and the fireplace? A metal surround seems like it’d work, but that’ll require some clever shimming and pulling the fireplace out the thickness of the shiplap.
This feels like a small project that just got very very big.

22y/o 17% body fat 95kg/209lbs
7 weeks into my first cycle
Test E 400mg / week. @ 135mg 3 times a week
Overall going very well, up 8kg / 17.5lbs with minimal fat gain
No gyno, no acne. Just a very slight increase in oiliness of the skin and the odd blemish on my face or back, very very subtle sides.
Have been monitoring BP very closely the past 5 weeks. I did not check my BP immediately prior to starting but I remember some old readings that were in healthy range.
135/50 - 150/65 is where i have been hovering around.
heightened systolic but low diastolic.
No clue what to do, how do you go about dropping the sys but raising the diastolic? Is it even possible?
Note, I have not taken a single AI as of yet.
Just Test E administered 3 times a week.
I plan to run the cycle for 14-16 weeks so ideally would like to get my BP under control
Any advice appreciated

My fellow gamers, for too long has our community suffered the indignation of an intolerable culture that has denigrated, besmirched, exploited, and has outright demonized our culture of unique individuals with a genuine love of a hobby that they see as profitable and progressive. They have taken beloved IP’s (Intellectual Properties) and twisted them into their own personal ideological crusade of undermining and humiliating the core aspects of characters they deemed as “Toxic” or “White Supremacy”. Through the guise and protection of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity) & ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) they have used our influence in the entertainment industry to push their narratives and agendas that have stigmatized our culture with numerous anti-consumer practices that they call “being progressive”. But the truth of the matter is they were never really looking to be a part of our community, they simply wanted to use our community as a tool of activism and propaganda in the entertainment industry as it was extremely profitable, and they wanted inclusion in that division. Ever since GamerGate & Female Frequency, we have had to endure the incursion of forced ideologies, xenophobic behaviors and inferior overpriced products that have never been in our best interest and have been flat out disgraceful towards foreign media.
Before Gaming had become a major source of entertainment, we were often categorized as anti-social or societies rejects where because we found more enjoyment in playing fictional characters and not spending as much time out and about, we never fully assimilated in society (which is a good thing if you ask me). From 1998 to 2007, at the height of innovation, creativity and production, Gaming had reached a golden age in which it had revolutionized society. Hollywood Execs who had ruined the movie industry turned their attention to video games as a source of income since video games had outperformed movies in terms of profit. No one was concerned about gaming, much less diversity or inclusivity until it became profitable. This makes people like SBI look extremely disingenuous as they were not interested in gamers as a community with its own culture. They simply wanted to use it as another weapon in identity politics.
Microtransactions; the hidden enemy to gamer progress and inducer to mental laziness of our community. Microtransactions have been around for a long time; however, it has never been more potent and apparent than in recent years. It has aided in the dismantling and segregation of players on the ideology of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and has created another sub-culture of gamers who have no real drive to be better outside of how much money they put into the game. This has degraded our culture as well as we have become “fat” off transactional gaming but at the same time we have been “starved” of purposeful gaming where our achievements were our sustenance. I am not saying that microtransactions are bad, but when they are exploitative and predatorial like they have been and don’t give gamers room to grow, we become lethargic and unwilling to improve ourselves as gamers. Oversaturated microtransactional games are one of the many reasons why we have become complacent and unwilling to fight against the exploitative tactics used by big brand game companies such EA, Ubisoft, ActivisionBlizzard, NaughtyDog and so many other western business model companies. Western style games were not like this in the past, they had much more depth and actual effort put into them with the gamer in mind. This has not been the case for over a decade and our connection to western developers has been whittled down to just being transactional. That is one of the reasons why you see so many remasters and remakes in today’s gamer community. They have lost their willingness to improve as developers of games and simply accept corporate/share holder rules.
Game journalists also do not have any real integrity or purpose outside of being funded for their involvement in promoting IPG (Identity Political Games) in a positive light to the public whether it’s positively received or not. They are not interested in what we have to say, they all support the same agenda and that is why they are a dying breed. Within the next couple of years, they will be out of the job and more than likely they will not be able to stay in the industry giving how they have responded to past articles that have clearly been scripted on the premise of diversity and racism. Not only that, but most of them are also extremely hostile to the community as they stereotype and defame the individuals that are a part of the community they are supposed to serve. We have been mentally liberated from their lies and coercive tactics as we tend to laugh at their obvious attempt at virtue signaling while hiding their misdoings so that they can play the victim.
My gamer brothers & sisters, I would not suggest the following action that we must take now without good cause. I have weighed our options and the best option for us now is this…...CULTURAL SECESSION. Naturally this is a form of segregation where they would more than likely claim they are being segregated by the dominant culture of the gaming community but that is incorrect. For years now we have been the ones who are often marginalized and ostracized for the smaller portion of our community. And when we aren’t, we’re exploited for more funds so that these companies can stay in business only to subject us to low quality products that coincide with the “WOKE Agenda” that are often huge expenses to these big brands i.e. AAA/AAAA games that will eventually flop for its obvious forced diversity and bug infested product which will undoubtedly piss off the consumer to the point of wanting a refund. Losing copious amounts of capital and stock in the process, not to mention their reputation is permanently marred.
We must separate on every cultural level in terms of entertainment and ideology. We must reject everything from the west that promotes toxic western beliefs, practices, and exclusion from other cultures (i.e. Southeastern Countries such as Japan and Korea). Japan & Korea have been the targets of unjust discrimination from Western Developers, Western Journalists, Western Localizers (The Wokelizers) and Western Society Prejudice regarding their sense of aesthetics as Westerners hate the aesthetic sense of these countries. The reason why they resort to such base tactics isn’t just because it weaponizes the ideal female form but it’s also because they have deep-seated insecurities about their own looks so when they see attractive female characters, they use terms such as “unrealistic” or “hypersexualized” to establish the moral high ground. But the truth is, they want to feel superior to that which is ideal, so they insult and dehumanize this figure that portrays natural female beauty because they see it as an insult to their own social superiority in what they believe is a hierarchy of them being at the top of all other women. Because of this and so many contributing factors, their movies flop harder than the Fat Chocobo landing on a group of enemies and their games seismically fail just as much if not more. We must sever our connection to Western Developers, Publishers, and ALL Western-Centric Entertainment for they seek to mentally enslave us to their Xenophobic ideology.
Let’s define Western Culture and its traits. Western Culture/Society is composed of more than several different ideologies that work in unison with one another to facilitate dominance over multiple aspects of society. Business, Social, Political, Technological, and sometimes even Global Affairs are affected by these ideologies that portray a specific mindset of Western beliefs. What are those ideologies you ask?

These traits are so nefarious and unconscionable that I have a hard time believing that anyone could harbor them. However, given the social, political, and economic climate that we are in, those in power who use their influence on controlling society most definitely possess these insidious traits. Everything that they do is all about control and since video games are the biggest market in the world, they want control over it and the communities built around it to accrue more wealth and to use that wealth to subjugate other cultures. Mainstream media is a tool as well as mainstream organizations and sites to help accomplish this goal.
The government recently announced its intentions towards what they believe is “GamerGate 2.0” and now even the ADL has made an official appearance, referring to gamers as “extremist’s”. We know EXACTLY what they are doing, and they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore because they don’t think we are aware of their motives. This is just a pretext for them to exert even more control and we know why, it’s because they want the influence we as a community have to must serve them. So here is what we do my fellow gamers-
“In light of recent events and years of mainstream stigma, we the members of the Global Gaming Community [GGC] must officially renounce ALL TIES to the corporate western video game market. We have been financially exploited through predatorial monetization schemes, pelted with numerous articles of disdain and intentional misrepresentation from game journalists, news outlets regarding us as dangerous individuals and, even subjected to inferior products not only riddled with bugs but also products meant to push political agendas. For the preservation of our community and its unique culture, apart from a few select game development studios we officially sever all connections to western owned video game companies & their mainstream affiliates. From this point onward, we will no longer support western corporate developers, journalists and publishers that do not coincide with the goals of our community.”
Naturally this is completely optional. If you are okay with the state of the gaming community as it is, feel free to ignore this. But if you wish for real change and a break away from oversaturated monetization in the games you play and the push for radical ideological reform, then you are in the right place. Lets sever these rotted miasmic ties once and for all so that our community can be preserved and made better for future gamers. I've found myself caught up in that cycle again. An endless one sided loop of parsing out the how and why's, the last permanent "goodbye". We truly were toxic for each other. You only needed me around for supply and I needed you to ease the trauma bond. I don't hate you, even if I feel the hurt bubble up from the surface every once in a while. We were both the result of generational trauma. Two differently broken people whose jagged edges lined up imperfectly together.
I know you told me I didn't care, that I was so expletive stupid, that I only ever thought the worst of you. It was your narcissistic rage that betrayed how you truly saw me. I've come to a point where I simply feel numb at the thought of you, but I still care. Even if you were never actually my friend, even though you were only using me, even now that you have discarded me. I still care. I just hate that I'm the only one who can. I wish I had never ended up on Stonina Drive.

27F, nonsmoker, 1-2 drinks a month. ADHD and anxiety. Concussion in childhood and suspected one at 24.
For the last few months I have been experiencing almost daily headaches. The side alternates but is primarily on the right side. Originating from eyes/forehead to top and side of head. They will last minutes-hours and sometimes occur multiple times a day.
Outside of the headaches I do experience floaters, some brain fog, I find that I miss/mix up my words every few days and have had some tingling in right arm (very rare over the last few months). My GP has not ordered any tests and wants to follow up in 1-2 months.
Would these symptoms warrant an ER visit? I am scared and also tired of living like this. I know I can sometimes think the worst so if professionals could share their thoughts I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Edit: I experienced migraines during puberty. These do not feel like those but I do know migraines can differ.

Hello everyone
I'm pretty sure I am SN and lately I've been wondering about the shape of my eyebrows I have an on long face that is very bottom heavy, not squared but my jaw while being very slanted from that side appears very blockey from the front (I had jaw surgery for bad occlusion when I was younger and my bone callused a bit on healing and I've accepted how it looks) I think as far as structure my face leans very yang with a blunt jaw, a blunt nose and also vertical feeling overall However I also have some yin in my face because I have very full lips and cheeks, round eyes, the tip of my nose is very round also So when it comes to my brows, their natural shape is kind of harsh I have thick dark brows that are naturally arched with a sharp angle Also my eyes are hooded
Since my brows grow quickly I have had the chance to experiment shapes mostly by playing with the underline of the brows and making it lighter giving me more real estate under my brows and lifting it a bit at the end
Since viewing myself as a mix of yang and yin, I'm recently thinking that maybe I'm better off with rounder brows to balance my face I tend to find my face too masculine and hard to put makeup on Im not saying I can't put makeup on (I stay away from harsh lines and romantic type makeup, I think I've mastered the fresh and sensual makeup look lol) but even so, while looking at myself from afar (which is I think a good way to gauge our silhouette) what jumps at the eye is my arched brows that give me an exotic look but also add to the yang in my face
What do you think about brows on SN faces ?
I've added a sketch of my face even though I can't draw just for reference as to my jawline

2024.05.19 20:23 Hatemode-NJ Are the four corner feet of the A1 supposed to touch the ground?

Hello everyone, I thought I posted this the other day,, but the reddit app was acting funny. I tried to find a duplicate and couldn't so I'll ask again...
I've been having some major problems with my A1 I've posted about in the past. While I'm still waiting for support to give me some resolution (they've responded, but now 'researching' the issue), there is one, stupid, question I have.
Because of the issues I'm having, I'm not sure if the 4 feet on the four corners of the bed are supposed to be fully touching the ground after it's put on the base? Or are they all supposed to be slightly off the ground when the bed is evenly mounted on the main frame as a just in case they hit?
I'm guessing they should touch, but my frame is so out of alignment I'm actually not sure. Even though I'm pretty sure I know what part of the issue is, Knowing the answer to this will hopefully help me diagnose it more.
The current issues I'm facing are 1) damaged wiring going to the motor on the back 2) what seems like a bent frame 3) base sits flat when not mounted, when mounted only back two feet fully touch, but are on an angle. Left front foot barely touches and right front foot is pretty far off the ground (can slide a credit card underneath). 4) the main frame only 3 feet touch the ground. The two on the sides and the one on the right center. The left center I can side paper under.
So out of the 8 feet only the two outer seem 'flat' and the two center ones are crooked with only one hitting fully. The bed by itself is fine, but when mounted on the frame seems to angle to the side and slightly upwards towards the front. So the backs touch, but in a funny way. Yes, I've tried 3 different materials (glass, wood, tiles) with the same results.
Because of the damaged wiring and their strict policies I haven't even been able to try to print on it. Plus even if I did, it's like it's a uneven three legged wobbly table.
