I recently had the pleasure of adding the Kyocera Revolution 5.5" Ceramic Santoku Knife in a stunning blue hue to my kitchen arsenal, and it has completely changed the game for me. The first thing I noticed was how perfectly balanced it felt in my hand, making it easy to maneuver and reducing fatigue during those endless chopping sessions.
One of the features that truly stood out to me was the ceramic blade, which reportedly stays sharp 10 times longer than steel blades. I've certainly noticed a difference – not only in the effortless slicing, dicing, and mincing of fruits and vegetables, but also in the seamless transition from chopping meats to finely chopping herbs.
The ergonomic handle offers a comfortable grip, adding to the overall ease of use, and the vivid color options provide a visual appeal that makes it stand out amongst my other kitchen tools. As someone who has been using the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife in my daily life, I must say that it has been a game changer. Its ergonomic handle feels comfortable in my hand, providing precise control as I slice through fruits, vegetables, and even some small meats.
What stood out to me the most is the ceramic blade's ability to stay sharp for an incredibly long time, way more than any steel blade I've ever used. It really makes a difference when I'm preparing my meals, as I don't have to spend time honing my knife skills and wasting precious time.
However, I must mention that the knife can be quite brittle, as the users in the reviews suggested. So it's essential to handle it with care, especially when storing it in a drawer. Also, it's not a great tool for cutting boneless meat or fish, as its blade isn't thin or agile enough.
But overall, I've been very pleased with the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife. It's perfect for any chef or home cook, and it has definitely improved my kitchen experience. Plus, it's quite light, which reduces fatigue during those repetitive cutting tasks. It's a worthwhile investment, provided you're attentive to its fragility.

The Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife has been a game changer in my daily life. The super-sharp, super-tough ceramic blade is surprisingly lighter than I expected, making it a perfect companion when I'm on the move. What I loved the most was its resistance to corrosion – it's like it's indestructible! But the real icing on the cake was the molded soft grip handle. It felt incredibly comfortable to hold, and it made using the knife a pleasant experience.
One thing I noticed was that the compression sheath could be a bit tricky to use at first. It took some extra effort to make it hold tight for safe storage and transportation. However, once I figured it out, I appreciated the added security it provided.
Overall, the Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife 4 inch Black RCUKB4 has been a reliable and efficient tool in my daily routine. And with its sharpness, durability, and easy gripping handle, it's hard not to love it!

đź”—Kyocera Ceramic Outdoor Camp Kitchen Knife and Sheath Set - Ideal for Camping, Hiking, and More

I've had the pleasure of using Kyocera's Ceramic Outdoor Camp Kitchen Knife and Sheath Set, and let me tell you, it has been quite the experience. The knife is perfect for my outdoor adventures, as it's durable, rust-proof, and resistant to germs and acids.
One of the most impressive features of this knife is its ultra-sharp, pure advanced ceramic blade. It's incredibly lightweight and easy to clean, which is exactly what I need when I'm out in the wild. And the ergonomic soft grip handle? It provides a comfortable, highly controlled grip, making it a pleasure to use.
The heavy nylon sheath with the Velcro strap is a nice addition, too. It keeps the knife safe and secure, and the belt loop makes it easy for me to access it whenever I need it. The fact that this product is made from Kyocera's proprietary zirconia material is an extra bonus, as it guarantees exceptional quality and beauty.
While this knife is ideal for camping, fishing, hiking, and picnics, I would avoid using it on hard foods or objects. But overall, I've been really happy with this set and would definitely recommend it to those who love spending time in the great outdoors.

đź”—Ultra-Sharp Ceramic Paring Knife

https://preview.redd.it/vycayu2xmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2af656ee8be16264bfbb176ed1ac38f37606bb78
As a reviewer, I've been using this Kyocera Revolution ceramic 3-inch paring knife for a few weeks now, and I must say, it has been quite an experience. The knife is incredibly sharp, making it perfect for intricate tasks like trimming, peeling, and garnishing. Its lightweight design, combined with the ultra-sharp ceramic blades, makes it easy to maneuver and a joy to use in the kitchen.
However, I have encountered a minor drawback - the blade is much harder to sharpen than I'm used to, requiring a bit more patience and effort than steel knives I've used in the past. Nevertheless, I appreciate that ceramic blades maintain their edge up to 10 times longer than steel blades, and the fact that they won't brown food, rust, or be resistant to acids.
Overall, using this Kyocera 3-inch ceramic paring knife has been a great experience, and I've grown to love this new addition to my kitchen. Its sleek design, sharp blade, and ease of use have made it a staple in my daily cooking routine.

đź”—Premium Ceramic Folding Pocket Razor Knife

As someone who's always on the go, I found the SHOCFR Shomer-Tec Ceramic Folding Razor Knife to be an essential addition to my everyday carry. This little guy is so compact, fitting perfectly into my pockets without taking up too much space. The 1" black finish ceramic blade is surprisingly sharp, making it incredibly useful for various tasks like cutting rope or opening packages. I appreciate the sleek black synthetic handle, which feels sturdy and comfortable in my hand.
While I'm a big fan of this pocket knife, there were a couple of drawbacks. The first thing I noticed was how easily the blade would snap shut. It happened a few times when I accidentally pressed it against something hard. Furthermore, the fact that it's made in China makes me a bit skeptical about its long-term durability.
Overall, the SHOCFR Shomer-Tec Ceramic Folding Razor Knife was a handy tool to have with me. Its compact size and sharp blade made it perfect for everyday use. However, its low-quality materials and tendency to snap shut may be a deal-breaker for some potential buyers.

đź”—Ultra-Durable Ceramic Utility Knife for Outdoor Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/j8ofygtxmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4e166123c54c848d130a7f06580b428fac9e2a4
I recently started using the Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife, and let me tell you, it's impressive. The blade is incredibly sharp right out of the box - twice as sharp as a steel blade, as advertised! And not only that, it stays sharp for much longer, thanks to its fantastic edge retention - 15 times better than steel.
As someone who frequently spends time outdoors, I love the lightweight and non-porous construction; it doesn't rust or corrode. Plus, the handle is a game-changer. The molded soft-grip design feels comfortable in my hand, even during long fishing trips.
The Open-Design Compression Sheath is a thoughtful addition too, ensuring safe storage and transport. The only downside I've noticed so far is that, while the knife itself is fantastic, the sheath that comes with it could use some improvement. Thankfully, it hasn't been a dealbreaker for me.
Overall, I highly recommend this Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife. Its features make it an excellent choice for cutting chores and fishing trips alike.

đź”—Ceramic Pocket Knife: Stays Sharp 10 Times Longer for Precise Cutting

https://preview.redd.it/difwpk5ymi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71059ec74baa88a9481e6d34153e4b07e5f00b91
The Kyocera Revolution 4.5" Ceramic Utility Knife is a game-changer for those seeking precision in the kitchen. With a ceramic blade that's 50% harder than metal and 10 times sharper than average knives, this knife makes quick work of slicing through fruits, veggies, and boneless meats.
The slip-resistant, ergonomic handle is comfortable and reduces fatigue during extended cutting tasks. Best of all, the ceramic blade doesn't absorb food elements, requiring only a quick rinse for easy cleanup.
This knife truly earns its place in any kitchen, becoming a trusted go-to tool for home cooks and seasoned chefs alike.

đź”—Precision-Cut Ceramic Chef Knife with Long-Lasting Sharpness

https://preview.redd.it/cwyhzzoymi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1960c16015d035f9f8718a078113639d7e20116e
I recently started using the Starfrit Ceramic Chef Knife and I must say, it's a game-changer in the kitchen. This 6-inch blade is incredibly sharp and stays that way up to 10 times longer than a steel blade, making cutting tasks a breeze. The ergonomic design of the knife, with its soft grip handle, is definitely a plus.
I found that this knife really stands out when it comes to cutting fruits, vegetables, and boneless meats. One time, I even used it for Thanksgiving, preparing an assortment of veggies for a big dinner, and it handled the task flawlessly. The smooth texture of the handle also allows for a comfortable grip.
However, I did notice a downside—the blade is incredibly sharp, which means you have to be very careful while handling it. It's also worth mentioning that these ceramic knives are not suitable for carving, boning, or any application that requires flexing or twisting. They should only be used with plastic or wooden cutting boards.
So far, I've been really happy with the Starfrit Ceramic Chef Knife, but I'm keeping an eye on the durability of the handle. I hope it holds up well, because I truly love using this knife in my daily life. If you're into ceramic knives, this one is definitely worth the investment.

đź”—Premium Ceramic Utility Knife with Pakka Wood Handle

As someone who's tried the Kyocera LTD Ceramic Utility Knife, I can say it's a game-changer in the world of cutting tools. When you finally hold this ceramic beauty in your hand, you can't help but admire its sleek, hand-crafted pakka wood handle and the exquisite blade it comes with.
During my daily food prep, I found this knife to be incredibly versatile, cutting through fruits, vegetables, and boneless meats like butter. The ceramic blade really does last significantly longer than steel blades and stays sharp for ages. Plus, it prevents any metallic taste or unwanted reactions with my food.
The pakkawood handle fits perfectly in my hand, making cuts effortless and ergonomic. The knife is surprisingly lightweight compared to steel models, reducing strain during long cutting activities. However, it's always wise to avoid hard surfaces like marble when using the knife.
It's important to remember to hand wash it after use and to keep it away from the dishwasher. Overall, the Kyocera LTD Ceramic Utility Knife has easily become a go-to tool in my kitchen, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, long-lasting cutting utensil.

đź”—Kyocera Ceramic Knife Set: Santoku Knife and Peeler

https://preview.redd.it/0aq8x5nzmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a01a2608c35930eaab31bc420910181c11977a52
As someone who loves to cook, I've had the pleasure of trying out the Kyocera Ceramic Blue knife and peeler set. I was immediately drawn to the unique blue handle, which not only looked stylish in my kitchen but also added a touch of elegance to my cooking process.
The Santoku knife, with its 14cm blade, was a delight to work with. Its ergonomic design allowed for a comfortable grip, and the ceramic material made it incredibly durable and easy to maintain. However, the peeler, with its 4cm blade, was a bit harder to work with. While it was efficient in removing the skin, it took a bit more effort to use than I anticipated.
Despite this minor drawback, the overall experience was fantastic. The Kyocera Ceramic Blue knife and peeler set has become a staple in my kitchen, and I've received countless compliments on its unique design and functionality. If you're looking for a versatile and stylish set of knives, this one is definitely worth considering.

đź”—Kyocera Ceramic Utility Knife & Y-Peeler Set for Precise Cuts

Recently, I stumbled upon Kyocera's Ceramic Utility Knife & Y-Peeler Set, and I couldn't resist giving it a try. The set comes with two essential, sharp tools for the kitchen - a 4.5-inch utility knife and a Y-peeler. The utility knife features a ceramic blade made from Kyocera's proprietary zirconia material, a remarkable high-tech material known for its superior edge retention. The dense and smooth blade surface allows for absolutely precise cuts.
The Y-peeler, on the other hand, has a sharp, flexible ceramic blade with outstanding corrosion resistance. This makes it perfect for any repetitive peeling tasks, and it's no wonder I've been using it for various fruits and vegetables.
What stood out for me was the ergonomic handle and the ultra-lightweight design of the utility knife. This feature makes the knife incredibly easy to handle, even for extended periods. However, one downside I noticed is that the white ceramic blade tends to discolor over time, especially with certain food items. That aside, washing it immediately after use helps to minimize this issue.
In summary, Kyocera's Ceramic Utility Knife & Y-Peeler Set offers the perfect blend of sharpness, flexibility, and durability, making it an essential addition to any kitchen. While it may have some negative aspects, overall, it's a valuable investment for any food enthusiast.

đź”—Lightweight and Durable Ceramic Pocket Knife for Comfortable Cutting

https://preview.redd.it/j3tizxk0ni1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e0c889d90c7ef210a40f8b145a62ecc3bd24dbd
I recently tried the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife Red, and I must say, it's a game-changer in the kitchen. While the box only contains one item, the knife itself is an impressive piece of engineering. The ergonomics are top-notch, with a comfortable grip that makes the slicing process more controlled and enjoyable.
One key feature that stood out to me is the blade's incredible edge retention. It retains its sharpness ten times longer than steel knives, which is a massive plus for anyone who values the lasting quality of their tools. Moreover, I appreciate how the ceramic material provides a pure and healthy alternative to steel knives, as it doesn't transfer metal ions to food or corrode due to acids or oils. It also never rusts, which is a great bonus.
The Kyocera knife is incredibly lightweight, reducing fatigue when in use, especially during long cutting tasks. While the blade may be half the weight of an equivalent steel knife, it feels like an extension of your hand.
However, there's one downside to this knife—handle with care. The ceramic blade is prone to chipping if not handled correctly. Also, it might be a bit delicate to use for cutting large items or anything that requires a lot of force.
Overall, the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife Red is a well-made, easy-to-use tool that boasts impressive edge retention, a comfortable grip, and a visually appealing design. It's a worthy addition to any kitchen, and I can't wait to showcase its capabilities to my friends and family.

A ceramic pocket knife is an essential tool that can come in handy for various outdoor activities, survival situations, and everyday tasks. With their durability, corrosion resistance, and sharpness, these knives have become increasingly popular among enthusiasts. In this buyer's guide, we'll discuss the important features, considerations, and general advice to help you choose the best ceramic pocket knife for your needs.

Materials and Construction

Ceramic pocket knives are made of high-quality ceramic blades and stainless steel handles. The blade material, Zirconium Oxide, is known for its hardness, sharpness, and resistance to corrosion. This makes the knife ideal for various cutting tasks, including slicing, chopping, and skinning. The stainless steel handle provides a comfortable grip and durability, while the pocket clip allows easy carrying.

Safety Features

Safety is essential when choosing a pocket knife. Look for ceramic pocket knives with locking mechanisms that secure the blade in place when not in use. This will prevent accidental openings and keep you safe from injuries. Additionally, check for slip-resistant handles to ensure a secure grip even in wet or slippery conditions.

Size and Portability

Consider the size and weight of the ceramic pocket knife when choosing one. A smaller and lighter knife is more convenient for everyday carry, while a larger knife may offer more cutting power. However, make sure the size is comfortable for you to handle and store in your pocket or backpack.

Ease of Maintenance

Ceramic pocket knives are easy to maintain and require minimal care. To keep your knife in top condition, clean it regularly and sharpen it with a honing stone or ceramic rod as needed. Also, store the knife in a protective case or sheath to prevent damage and ensure its longevity.

Brand Reputation and Reviews

When purchasing a ceramic pocket knife, always consider the reputation of the brand and the reviews from other users. A well-established brand with a long history of producing high-quality knives is likely to provide you with a reliable and durable product. FAQ

Are ceramic pocket knives durable?

https://preview.redd.it/1rljezc5ni1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f42884d603f38ac9876934f5a891f83627a8412

What are the advantages of using a ceramic pocket knife?

  • Harder and sharper blades
  • Non-rusting and non-corrosive material
  • Lightweight and compact for easy portability
  • Longer edge retention compared to steel knives

Are ceramic pocket knives easy to use?

Yes, ceramic pocket knives are easy to use. They have a natural grip that allows for comfortable handling. Additionally, their lightweight design reduces strain on the hand during prolonged use. However, be cautious when cutting hard materials as they may become brittle due to the thinness of the blade.

Can I resharpen a ceramic pocket knife?

While ceramic pocket knives are not designed for resharpening like steel knives, there are specialized sharpening tools available specifically for ceramic blades. However, the process may be challenging and the blade's lifespan will still be limited. In most cases, it's more cost-effective to simply replace the blade when it becomes dull.

  • Brittle blades when cutting hard materials
  • Cannot be resharpened like steel knives
  • May require specialized sharpening tools

How do I keep my ceramic pocket knife safe?

2024.05.20 07:18 Impossible-Exit-2063 CW: self harm, 33 AFAB, Pain while healing full thickness burn

I am 33, AFAB, trans man (I've been on testosterone for 6 years). I'm 5'7“ and 155 lbs. I have hashimoto's hypothyroidism and asthma.
I have struggled with severe mental illness including a psychotic disorder and depression for most of my life since puberty, and a year and 5 months ago I gave myself a full thickness chemical burn (lye) on my right shin directly below my knee during a psychotic episode.
I have not hurt myself since then, and I've been doing exceptionally well with my treatment team and medication management. At the time, however, I refused medical intervention, and I've been healing it on my own. I have a fear of going to the doctor for these things due to past treatment during mental health events.
The affected area was approximately 3" by 4" and the chemical reached bone and muscle. The tibia ridge and muscle was exposed, and the muscle was damaged (like grey shredded pork), and skin/fat was gone/black. The ligament? that goes from the knee cap to the top of the tibia was burned as well, but thankfully not bad enough to cause it to tear.
I had no sensation in the wound, and no sensation along the outer area of my calf from the knee to about 3-4 inches from my ankle (are of approximately 6" by 8"), but the pain and swelling throughout the rest of my leg extended from my toes up to my butt. I was unable to bend my foot upward and needed crutches for about a month (foot movement has since returned).
I initially used silver calcium algenate for the wound, and I've switched to xeroform dressings. The only medical help I've had was the ER doc I saw for an unrelated infection about 3 months ago. He said he was surprised I had done so well taking care of it and said it looked good (I was not having my current pain at this time).
The skin around the wound and on my leg looks and feels healthy. The scar tissue that's developed thus far looks healthy. The exudate, while high in volume, is clear yellow. The remaining wound bed is about 2" by 2" and looks healthy (pink, not too much granulation, it's now level with surrounding skin, no exposed bone or muscle). It seems really close to completely scarring over. There is noticeable scar growth/development every day.
My issue now is that while the areas without feeling remain numb, I've been having deep muscle pain again with pain radiating from the toes to my butt with occasional numbness and pins/needles in my foot. It feels "bone deep". My knee will start to hurt and I can feel the ligament that was burned is sore again. The pain makes it difficult to... Exist, kind of. It's easier to handle if I'm moving because it's distracting. It's caused difficulty sleeping and sitting still. I do have good circulation, and I've been able to be active for the last ~9 months doing stuff like hiking and light cycling with minimal swelling and pain up to this point.
Is this normal for healing a wound like this? And I'm assuming there's a high likelihood of chronic pain related to this injury?
Also, the scar tissue isn't free-moving. It seems to be attached to the bone almost.
I appreciate any input.

I recently had the chance to try the Yeti 20 oz Rambler Tumbler, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my daily routine. The moment I held this stainless steel on-the-go cup, I knew it was something special. Its durability is unmatched - I could probably drop it off a cliff and it would still be intact (okay, maybe not that extreme, but you get the point).
One of the standout features of this tumbler is its ability to keep my drinks at the perfect temperature. Whether it's a steaming hot cup of coffee or an ice-cold beverage on a scorching summer day, this Yeti tumbler never disappoints. The double-wall vacuum insulation does the trick, ensuring my drinks stay just as I like them for hours on end.
However, there is one aspect that could use some improvement. The tumbler can be a bit slippery, especially for those with smaller hands like myself. A bit of texture on the exterior would make all the difference in preventing any accidental drops.
Another minor issue is the lid, which can sometimes become loose after a few uses. When this happens, it can cause my drink to spill out, leaving a mess on my shirt. However, I've found that a quick adjustment usually solves the problem.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Yeti 20 oz Rambler Tumbler has become an essential part of my daily life. Its stylish design and impressive performance make it well worth the investment, and I can confidently say it's the best tumbler I've ever owned. With its ability to keep my drinks at the right temperature and its sleek, modern look, I can't help but highly recommend this tumbler to anyone in the market for an on-the-go cup solution.

https://preview.redd.it/p8x7ea86li1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=085b9b8cdb9f9006bb67d109c1f4c64dd85b31c8
When I first got my hands on the Yeti Rambler 20 oz Travel Mug, I was immediately drawn to its unique High Desert Clay design. The lid - the Rambler Stronghold Lid - was a breeze to use, with its magnet technology making it easy for both right-and left-handed users. The elevated handle was a game-changer, allowing me to enjoy cupholder convenience just about anywhere.
Although I loved the handle, I found that the lid had a few drawbacks. The lid itself was not interchangeable with other Rambler Drinkware models, and I couldn't use different colored magsliders. I wish it was more versatile on that front, but it's worth considering the Stronghold Lid's function and how it fits your personal preferences.
Now, let's talk about the mug itself. The Yeti Rambler kept my drinks cold for a long time, without the need to refill as often as I had to with my old mug. The outside design, with the No Sweat element, helped me to avoid condensation on the outside, keeping my hands dry. The mug didn't leak, even when accidentally knocked over, and the lid's seal was strong.
One thing that stood out to me was the mug's ability to fit into a car's cupholder flawlessly, something that's not always the case in my experience. The unique combination of style, durability, and convenience made this Yeti mug a standout choice for anyone in search of a dependable travel mug experience.

As a frequent adventurer, I got tired of having lukewarm drinks on my outdoor trips. That's when I discovered the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap, and boy, was I hooked! The first thing you'll notice about this bottle is its build - it's made of kitchen-grade stainless steel that's puncture and rust-resistant. I tossed this in my backpack, and it didn't even scratch. The insulation works like a charm, keeping my coffee hot for hours and my ice water cold all day long. No more lukewarm frustrations for me!
But let's not forget about the Chug Cap - it's designed to give you a smooth, leak-free drinking experience. However, I did find it a bit tricky to twist off initially. The cap does have a unique design that might take some getting used to. I also wish the company offered individual replacement parts for the cap lid, which seems like a missed opportunity for customization. But overall, I'm really satisfied with the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap. It's a game-changer for outdoor enthusiasts like myself.

Ever enjoyed a relaxing morning with your favorite hot beverage, only for the warmth to dissipate, leaving you with a lukewarm sip? Say goodbye to that frustration with the Yeti 14 oz Rambler Mug. Made with 18/8 stainless steel, the sturdy construction not only feels solid in your hands but also retains heat incredibly well. The mug's comfortable, full-loop TripleGrip handle is thoughtfully designed for wide hands, making it easy to grab and go.
One of the key features that stood out in my experience is the double-wall vacuum insulation, which keeps your beverages at the desired temperature for hours on end. But the magic doesn't stop there. With the mug's no-sweat design, you can confidently take it on the go without worrying about condensation dripping down the exterior. It truly is the perfect companion for your daily adventures, be it at the office or on a camping trip.
Of course, no product is without its cons. While the mug is undoubtedly durable and built to last, some might find it a tad heavier than their average mug. Additionally, one must exercise caution when handling or storing items in the mug since the triple-loop handle can become a bit of an obstacle in tight spaces.
In conclusion, the Yeti 14 oz Rambler Mug is a game-changer for anyone seeking a reliable and long-lasting mug to keep their beverages at the perfect temperature. With its stylish design and top-notch performance, it's definitely a worthy addition to any coffee lover's collection.

As a coffee enthusiast, I was excited to try the Yeti 14 oz Rambler Mug with Magslider Lid in the High Desert Clay color. The moment I held it, I could feel the sturdiness and quality of the material. The double-wall vacuum insulation truly works, keeping my coffee hot for hours on end, no matter what adventure it accompanied me on.
What stood out for me was the design of the lid. Not only did it prevent spills, but it also made sipping my coffee on the go much more convenient. Additionally, the DuraCoat finish and lack of sweating made it a great accessory to take with me everywhere.
One thing to note, however, is that while the magnet on the lid is useful in keeping drinks contained, it's not leakproof and should be handled carefully to avoid accidental spills. Overall, I highly recommend this mug to fellow coffee lovers and adventurers seeking a durable, high-quality way to enjoy their beverages.

I recently tried out the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Tumbler in white, and let me tell you, it has been a game-changer for my daily coffee routine. The 10 oz size is perfect for a quick cup on the go, and the wide opening makes it easy to fill and clean. The vacuum-insulated body does an excellent job at keeping my coffee at the ideal temperature, even after several hours.
One of the standout features of this tumbler is its puncture and rust-resistant stainless steel construction. After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say it's built to last. The MagSlider lid is another great addition, providing a secure closure that prevents spills without compromising on ease of drinking.
However, there are a couple of downsides to consider. The lid, while effective, is not fully leak-proof, so I recommend avoiding placing it in a bag or backpack with other items. Additionally, the slightly tapered shape makes it a bit less stable than a straight cup, but it doesn't cause any major issues.
Overall, the Yeti 10 oz Tumbler in white has exceeded my expectations and become an essential part of my morning routine. Despite the minor drawbacks, it's definitely worth the investment for its top-notch quality and durability.

đź”—Cerakote Yeti Cup: High Desert Clay Bottle with Insulating Chug Cap for Outdoor Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/cjxjeh89li1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e5a983a7e888acf5243e2b4b50b6cdfb359c452
One sunny afternoon, I decided to bring along my favorite stainless steel bottle, the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap, for a long hike in the mountains. The moment I held it, I could feel the quality of the material, the no-sweat exterior, and the comforting weight in my hand. It was the perfect companion for my hike, keeping my water cold and refreshing as I walked up the steep trail.
As I took a break to catch my breath, I noticed that the bottle was surprisingly easy to handle with its TripleHaul handle. The handle, with its quick twist, allowed me to set it down with ease and protect the contents from spilling. The Chug Cap, being the default lid choice, proved to be convenient for filling my bottle quickly, making my hike even more enjoyable.
However, after a few hours of hiking, I started to feel rather parched. I took a sip of water from the bottle, only to find that the cap was a bit hard to hold while drinking. I had to hold the cap itself in order to prevent spills, which proved to be a small inconvenience. Despite this, my YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap remained an excellent companion on my mountainous adventure.
Upon returning home, I took the time to clean my bottle in the dishwasher, and it was as easy as promised – no more work than what I was already doing. The bottle's leakproof nature gave me peace of mind as I knew my beverages would stay inside, even when I turned it upside down.
Overall, the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap made my hike more satisfying and comfortable, providing me with a refreshing beverage whenever I needed it. The sturdy build and reliable insulation make it the ideal companion for any outdoor adventure. Despite the minor drawbacks, the pros outweigh the cons, making it a reliable and enjoyable accessory for my daily life.

2024.05.20 07:03 ReasonBeneficial4834 Hinge date applies for a job while on date

i met this guy on hinge and he seemed like a chill vibe. Based off of his photos he seemed to be someone i would be attracted to. dark complexion, medium build , introverted, and kind of nerdy. We had matched, exchanged numbers, and developed somewhat of a connection but nothing serious. we had mutual interest like video games, and x-men comics. i wanted to get to know him better outside of messaging and asked him if he wanted to see a movie. he responded with “i would love to, but i am currently not working and wouldn’t be comfortable with you paying for your own ticket on the first date.” i found that commendable, and understood that it was currently hard to get a job in our city at the moment (Toronto/GTA AREA). as we continued to talk he became eager to meet me in person, and asked if we could go on a walk. i agreed, but he proposed that we meet him somewhere five minutes away from his house, which was a 30 minute drive away from mine. i expressed that i didn’t feel comfortable doing that because i didn’t see the difference in paying for my own movie and paying for my own gas there and back to see someone for the first time. he also didn’t offer to meet anywhere in between which i would’ve been fine with. for context he told me he didn’t drive or have his license. he agreed with my sentiments and apologized, so we met somewhere in between the both of us. we walked around a local mall for an hour and i told him where to meet me. he had a little bit of trouble but we saw each other and embraced each other with a hug. he then pressed me for not giving him better details on where he could find me but i never thought anything of it. if i’m going to be honest i expected him to look different. firstly he lied about his height, which didn’t make any sense to me but whatever i don’t care for height. i also noticed his hygiene was off. he had insanely cracked dry skin, peeling lips, foam in the corner of his mouth, and an insane amount of build up under his long finger nails. i ignored it and just continued to walk and talk. i notice he couldn’t hold a conversation for his life making it very awkward but i sympathized with him, as he could’ve been nervous. time goes by we’re just walking, window shopping and then he asks for us to go get patties. we went to the patty shop, i bought a patty and he bought one. he noticed the hiring sign, and while on the date he filled out an application for that job. while he was filling out the application i was planning an exit in my head out of this situation. i found it a bit awkward and maybe rude to do so on your first date with someone. i didn’t say anything and then we went home. i went to my car and asked if he needed a ride. he said no, i drove here. at this point i wanted a gun to shoot my self. he had already told me he doesn’t have his license so i was confused how he drove here and why he wanted me to drive all the way to his end of the city if he could drive. i confronted him and told him i thought he didn’t drive. he told me its his dads car and he just takes it sometimes. we then hugged and went our separate ways. the next day he messages me talking about the kind of relationship he wants and tells me he just wants a sexual relationship but nothing serious. i was thinking of a response as this was random and we never had this convo or any conversation like this before. but as time went on i couldn’t think of a reply and ended up ghosting him. do you think i was justified in my actions, or should i have made a better effort to come up with a response?

2024.05.20 07:01 Marc_wastheone The Comprehensive Dynamics of Showering

Showering is a multifaceted hygienic practice that integrates numerous complex processes involving physics, chemistry, and physiology, all orchestrated within a controlled aquatic environment. The typical environment for showering is engineered through a sophisticated plumbing system designed to deliver water via an elevated nozzle or series of nozzles known collectively as a showerhead. The manipulation of valves or taps that regulate the flow and temperature of the water is critical, ensuring an optimal balance for both thermoregulation and mechanical cleansing of the epidermis.
When an individual initiates the showering process by adjusting these valves, they enable the precise control of water temperature and pressure. The interaction between water, modifiable to various thermal states, and the skin—the body’s largest organ—occurs through laminar and turbulent flow dynamics. These dynamics enhance the mechanical agitation necessary to dislodge sebum, sweat, dead skin cells, and particulate matter accumulated from daily environmental exposure. Gravitational forces aid in transporting these impurities away from the body, directing them towards the drainage system that efficiently disposes of such waste.
The mechanical aspect of showering is augmented by a significant chemical component involving surfactants and emulsifying agents found in cleansing products like soaps and shampoos. These agents reduce water's surface tension, allowing it to more effectively penetrate and dissolve oils and hydrophobic substances present on the skin and hair. Surfactants operate by forming micelles around oil particles, encapsulating them, and facilitating their removal during rinsing. These chemical interactions are pivotal in disrupting the lipid bilayer of microorganisms, thereby exerting a powerful antimicrobial effect, which is essential for maintaining overall hygiene and health.
The physiological response to showering is equally intricate. Exposure to varying water temperatures induces vasodilation or vasoconstriction, contingent on whether the water is warm or cold. Warm water typically causes blood vessels to dilate, enhancing blood flow and promoting a sense of relaxation. In contrast, cold water can cause vasoconstriction, which invigorates the body by increasing alertness. Thermoreceptors in the skin detect these temperature changes, triggering a cascade of neural responses that influence the body's homeostasis and contribute to the subjective experience of comfort or rejuvenation.
The act of scrubbing during a shower adds another layer of complexity. Repetitive rubbing and scrubbing the skin stimulates the somatosensory system, potentially triggering the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, leading to a sensation of well-being. Tactile stimulation from scrubbing also promotes lymphatic drainage, aiding in toxin removal from the body and enhancing overall immune response. This physical interaction with the skin is not merely about cleanliness but also plays a role in maintaining physiological and psychological balance.
Moreover, showering has significant psychological benefits. The routine can provide a meditative and reflective time, allowing individuals to mentally prepare for the day ahead or unwind from daily activities. The combination of physical cleansing and mental clarity achieved through showering can significantly contribute to an individual's mental health and emotional stability. This dual benefit underscores the importance of showering beyond mere hygiene.
From a biochemical perspective, the interaction between water and skin initiates numerous reactions. When water contacts the skin, it softens the keratinocytes—the primary type of cells in the epidermis—making it easier to remove dirt and dead cells. The role of water temperature in these processes is critical; hot water can open pores and allow deeper cleansing, while cold water can close pores and tighten the skin, offering different therapeutic effects.
The use of various cleansing products introduces additional chemical interactions. Shampoos and conditioners, often containing specific pH-balanced formulas, interact with hair cuticles, ensuring that the hair shaft remains smooth and manageable. These products frequently contain proteins, vitamins, and minerals designed to nourish the hair and scalp, emphasizing the showering process's role in comprehensive personal care.
Additionally, the aromatherapy aspect of showering should not be overlooked. Many shower products include essential oils and fragrances that can affect mood and well-being. Lavender, for instance, is known for its calming properties, while citrus scents can invigorate and energize. These olfactory stimuli interact with the brain's limbic system, further contributing to the psychological benefits of showering.
Environmental factors also play a role in the showering experience. The design and ambiance of the shower space—lighting, color schemes, and even the materials used—can influence the overall experience. Modern shower systems often include features such as adjustable spray patterns, rainfall showerheads, and even integrated music systems, all designed to enhance the sensory experience and provide a personalized bathing ritual.
Water conservation and sustainability are increasingly important considerations in the design and use of shower systems. Innovations such as low-flow showerheads and systems that recycle greywater are becoming more prevalent, reflecting a growing awareness of environmental impact. These advancements ensure that the practice of showering can be maintained sustainably without compromising the comprehensive benefits it offers.
The societal and cultural dimensions of showering are also noteworthy. Showering practices vary widely across different cultures and historical periods, reflecting diverse beliefs about cleanliness, health, and social norms. In some cultures, communal bathing practices are an integral part of social life and tradition, highlighting the role of bathing in community bonding and cultural identity.
From a historical perspective, the evolution of bathing practices—from ancient Roman baths to modern showers—illustrates the changing perceptions of hygiene and the technological advancements that have shaped our current practices. Innovations in plumbing and water heating have transformed showering from a luxury into a daily necessity for many people worldwide.
Showering also intersects with healthcare and therapeutic practices. Hydrotherapy, the use of water in various forms to treat illness and maintain health, has been practiced for centuries. Modern adaptations of hydrotherapy can be found in therapeutic showers designed to aid in rehabilitation and recovery, showcasing the intersection of hygiene and medical care.
In conclusion, showering is a complex and multi-dimensional practice that extends far beyond basic hygiene. It involves an intricate interplay of physical, chemical, and physiological processes that contribute to overall cleanliness, health, and well-being. The benefits of showering are holistic, encompassing physical cleansing, mental clarity, relaxation, invigoration, and even social and cultural significance. As such, it remains a fundamental daily ritual that supports both individual health and broader societal practices.

2024.05.20 07:00 AbyssalHunter1998 Regrets

I regret having tossed people aside
I regret letting myself have been taken advantage of leading to mistrust that would cause me to let go of people and give up on them
I regret not having gone through on my word to stay with people I promised I would
I regret that I let go of someone who genuinely wanted me, someone who really cared and wanted me to be hers
I regret how I was a coward who gave up when I should have stood strong and proved her wrong
I regret that I didn't prove you wrong Jess, that I didn't trust you, that I wasn't considerate of you and that I didn't give you the proper care and respect you deserved
I regret how I hurt you by giving up and leaving you like others have done before me
Even worse is that I did the same to my friend group, my best friend of 11 years and recently another woman I was in a LDR with for 2 months
I can never get back the care and compassion you had for me, I can NEVER get YOU back
I can never get my friend group back
I might be able to get my old best friend back, but I doubt it at the same time
I can never get back the person who I recently let go of either
Everyone can see I'm a Viper, everyone can see I am venomous and everyone is scared of me because they know they could get bit
I destroyed the person I used to be, I shed that skin and became a monster because of the abuse I have been through as well as my own rebellious desire
I've hurt everyone who tried to handle me and gain my trust...
And I regret that more than anyone could imagine, the people I bit...
Those who wanted me and who wanted to help me
There are no excuses for me, for my actions
I failed those who cared and I failed myself
I never allowed what I had to be enough for me, I always wanted more
But also, in truth...
I never wanted to lose any of it, I never wanted to lose or let go of anyone...
I never wanted to lose you or give up on YOU Jess
I never wanted to lose or give up on my old best friend either
I never wanted to hurt or bring pain, misery or trauma to anyone who came into my life
Those are the biggest regrets in my life to date
I deserve to feel as hollow and empty as I do
I deserve to bear this pain that I live with day to day
I deserve to live with these regrets weighing down what bits and pieces of a heart I have left
This venom that courses through my veins and soul
This curse that can and will never be lifted, the curse of betrayal and betrayal trauma
I will never have the partner I wish for and desire
A romantic partner to love and be loved by
The comfort of the love, care, and touch of another
I regret giving up on and throwing away everything I had, the future I could have had, and especially the people I had more than I regret anything else.

2024.05.20 06:59 sumadeumas Learn From My Mistake! (Screen Yellowing)

Despite me taking very good care of my New 3DS XL and original 3DS, I made a very stupid mistake. Left them on my bedside table for a couple of months…. Thing is, that’s also where I set beverages…. And my apartment’s heater is nearby. I thought nothing of it since it’s not like they’re getting nuked by it or anything but what I think happened is that the evaporation from my drinks added extra humidity to the area and caused significant yellowing in both screens on both systems.
Moral of the story, it doesn’t take very much humidity to yellow these suckers even in the US (since I know it’s common for Japanese systems). Keep em cool and dry!

2024.05.20 06:59 LongLocks1608 AITAH for refusing to cut my hair?

I made my first throw away account for this. Yipee (he said with all the excitement of a deflating woopie cushion).
I (M23) currently live with my mom (F64) and dad (M65). I'm attending a local community college and struggling to find a regular job while also pursuing a career as a writer and musician. I love my mom and dad very much, and they love me too. They have been nothing but supportive of me and my aspirations my entire life, and I am so grateful to them for that.
That isn't to say we don't have our issues (i wouldn't be talking about them on this sub if they were perfect, after all) but I think the context here is very important.
So, in exchange for no rent, i have to follow a set of rules. Some of them are pretty reasonable (no illegal drugs in the house, do my fill of chores, keep my room and bathroom clean, etc.), but some could be considered a bit weird (attend church once a week, no sex inside the house). While I'm okay with these rules, there is one i chafe against regularly… i have to maintain my haifacial hair in a very specific way.
So, as my username implies, I have long hair. It goes past my shoulders and rests at my upper back. It's also very thick. My mom likes to say my hair, like hers, wants to grow out, not down. (It really does feel like my hair wants to spite gravity sometimes). It defaults to curly ringlets, but I have options to style it.
It wasn't always like this, though. For a majority of my life, i kept my hair short. When i was 17 i heard about locks for love, the charity where you can donate your hair to create wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. I was really inspired by this, and wanted to participate. I had to wait a year, until i graduated high school (because of our dress code and because i did a lot of theater stuff that required me to have short hair) to start. For four long years, I grew my hair out and finally, cut it off to send it to charity. It was really fun, we threw a small, silly party to celebrate.
But over the next few months, I began to realize something… i really liked having long hair! I've only now begun to verbalize it, but i felt confident and sexy with long hair. It was the first time I made a style choice on my own without involvement from anyone else and i loved it. So, thinking that this was a harmless form of self-expression, I decided I wanted to grow my hair out again, but this time keep it. And here, is where my troubles began.
Now, during the first time I started growing my hair out, my dad made it no secret he didn't like the long hair look, but went along with it because he knew it was for a good cause. But during the fall of 2021, when i made my intentions clear of mainting the look, he began to complain… a lot. Now, i'm not going to pretend some of these complaints were without merit. In terms of styling and hair care, I had no idea what I was doing, and combined with my big, bushy, unkempt beard, I looked terrible. I looked like a caveman Jerry Garcia. My hair was constantly knotted and greasy looking, i had split ends I refused to cut, and my beard was uneven. It drove dad up the wall.
Then, one morning, my parents forced me to go to a barbershop down the street. I went in, explained the situation, and told him i wanted to keep my long hair, but to get rid of all the stuff they didnt like. To shape it up, style it. The barber looked at me, and said it was too soon (it had been five months since i had sent my hair in) and to come back in a month. Satisfied, i texted my mother the news, got myself some lunch, picked up some groceries and came back home. My parents were waiting for me. I don't think Mom had seen my text. They were disappointed. A day or so later, dad came into my room as i was waking up, still wiping the dust from my eyes and gave me an ultimatum. I was going to cut my hair or he was going to kick me out of the house, and take my car too since his name was on the paperwork.
…To say the following two hours were eventful would be an understatement. In short, after lots of screaming, crying, and swearing, from both sides, we came to the agreement we have today; in exchange for keeping my hair tidy, and my beard trimmed, I could continue to live at my parents house. Whenever dads around, or we're out together, he wants me to have my hair tied back (nevermind that can actually damage the hair in the long term) or wear a headband to keep it out of my face.
While he's done a lot to regain my trust since that day (and I've done the same), i still feel uneasy about the whole thing. My dads explanation is that he's from another time, which is true. He grew up in the sixties and the seventies. If i were to fall through a portal in time, people off the street would probably think i was homeless or a hippie. That's how he thinks i look. And that terrifies him, because he thinks I don't know or understand how the way i portray myself can come off to others. It's also an issue of respect to him. In case it wasn't clear earlier, my dad is a Christian. He was a pastor in the Nazarene church for many years, but he's retired now. To him, growing my hair out like i have, after all the times he's expressed his dislike, is the equivalent of me flipping him off. Some of you may be wondering “How are these sentences related?” Well, if you open your bibles to Exodus 20:12, you will find the fifth commandment, which states “honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” To say my faith is important to my dad is an understatement. The most important thing my to my dad, aside from the safety and health of me and mom, is whether or not i still believe Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. But im getting lost in the weeds, lets get back on track.
The point is, my dad sees this as a very personal insult, and a representation of all his fears that I might fail in life in a way that he can't prevent. That's how he's explained it to me. Im not trying to justify or explain away his behavior, I'm just trying to tell you what he's told me.
From my perspective, while Dad was right that my grooming at the time was terrible, my hair style does not, and should not, matter to him. I'll admit, at that time in my life, i was going through a really rough patch that i do not want to go into here. I had some awful habits back then, and i was clinically depressed. But coming in and saying you're gonna kick me out unless i give you what you want isn't what i would call christlike behavior, much less normal empathetic father figure behavior.
So why am i writing about this now? Because he did it again.
So, my dad has still been complaining since the three and a half years this happened, but I've been getting better and better at cleaning and maintaining my hair. Im not going to pretend I'm a master, but at least I'm not using two for one shampoo anymore and have learned how to consistently make a towel wrap. Today (sunday), dad got home from a business trip. When he got home, we didn't really say much because i was rushing to complete summer school homework due by midnight. We said Hi and I love you, but that was pretty much it. I had been working all day on this, since the moment i got up. I missed church because i was exhausted from staying up late, you guessed it, working. After all this time, i finally do it, and go out to have an actual conversation with my dad. And the first thing he says to me during this conversation? After not seeing me since Thursday? “[Long locks], you really need to do something about my hair. You need to remember our agreement. It's becoming a problem.”
Wow. Thanks for the veiled threat dad, nice to see you too.
I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like i cannot please him. I'm just now getting the hang of this, and its like… he doesn't care. I went to a new barber six weeks ago to cut off my split ends and shape it up. I trim my beard every 4-8 weeks. I shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse, dry, comb with a wide tooth comb, comb with an actual brush and then maybe use a band if dads around, AND ITS STILL NOT ENOUGH. The one day i don't do my hair because i am trying to prioritize the things that matter and he says that.
And the thing that bothers me is that it brings me down all the time. It affects my self-esteem and self-image. And he keeps dangling my ability to live a life over my head unless i give him what he wants, and it makes me wonder where will it end? What will he want me to change next? Will he threaten to take away my clothes? Stuff i bought with the allowance he gives me? This thing that happened today made me realize i am so helplessly dependent on these people and I can't take it anymore. So my thought process is why don't i just save us the trouble of all the shouting, crying and swearing, pack up my bags and leave? Lets save the time and trouble and move on because I don't want to fight.
I'm sorry if this has devolved into an incomprehensible slurry, but I've been trying to write this all down for an hour and i'm so tired. I don't want to give up this piece of myself that I've grown to love. But am I being a big stupid baby about this? Should i just give him what he wants? Or should i take a stand for my own personal boundaries and identity and move out? And if the latter, what should my next steps be?
Thank you for reading this wall of runes. I'm going to pass out now. Good night.

2024.05.20 06:57 SophiaShay1 What was your worst health scare that caused you to seek more help for your fibromyalgia, ME/CFS or potential diagnoses?

What was your worse health care that caused you to seek more medical intervention & answers for fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, or potential diagnoses?
I had the worst experience of my life two nights ago. I woke up early Friday evening from a nap. I slept about 2 hours. I woke up feeling off. I was sweaty and could not breathe. I was dizzy, disoriented, and sweaty. We called 911. I thought I was having a heart attack or a stroke. I went to the emergency room. They did a CBC, EKG, and CT scan of my brain. I had low glucose, which was resolved by drinking a glass of cranberry juice. I hadn't eaten anything in over 10 hours. My doctor was incredible. After the test results came back, he said, "Could it be anxiety? Possibly. I don't know, I wasn't there." Initially, I thought it could have been anxiety, but the symptoms presented in such a way that it absolutely didn't seem that way. He prescribed anxiety medication. I'm grateful it has helped.
I've been simply existing since my diagnosis in December 2023. This event has forced me to face some hard truths. For as much as I thought I knew, I really knew nothing. There's so much I need to learn about my body. I have depression and anxiety that was caused by my ongoing health problems and ultimately fibromyalgia. I stopped taking Zoloft for depression & Klonopin for anxiety to start Cymbalta. I've tried Savella and Cymbalta twice. Cymbalta helped with my fatigue, pain, sleep, and mood. Ultimately, I had to stop all medications due to severe side effects.
I'm post-menopausal and never wanted to do hormone replacement therapy. From what I've read, it's now something I have to talk to my doctor about. I've gained about 70 pounds in the last 4 years. I have to talk to my doctor and lose weight. My symptoms are dizziness, disorientation, always hot and sweaty, chronic and debilitating fatigue, widespread pain, brain fog, depression, anxiety & insomnia/sleep disturbances
I'd love to hear your stories. Did you have a life changing medical scare that propelled you to get more answers and work harder? Have you found more effective medications that manage your symptoms and fibromyalgia? What about vitamins, supplements, and non-medical interventions? Changes to your diet and exercise? Have you taken weight loss medications? Have they helped with both weight loss and fibromyalgia?

2024.05.20 06:56 Electrical-Ad320 Bit (Nipped) by customer’s dog, but did nothing to keep them calm

Title mentions the situation, but to further elaborate I was setting up a table for some customers outside of my section(didn’t have host) in our outdoor dining, and table nearby’s dog pounced to my leg and bit my pants while pulling away. In the moment (and fuck was I fucking stupid wrong to do) I just let it pass by telling the customers “it’s okay, he just got my pants” and I tried keeping them calm saying “ I have dogs myself as well so I understand” but it was in the moment shit that I pulled my toxic customer service self to bend over to customers as usual to keep them calm like always. I went inside to check what the dog did to my uniform cause my restaurant is anal for “clean, presentable uniforms and presentation or else you go home”, I see that dog didn’t ripped through my jeans but dog did rip a whole in my wool socks and nipped my shin but didn’t rip/dig into skin and bleeding. I saw the customers leave at the moment but then again my toxic customer service self wanted to give them space and not cause panic. I told my manager and coworkers once they left and all told me I should’ve told them I n the moment to have the police come and file a bite report and investigate if the dog had shots and was clean of illness. Naturally this is something which I agree I should’ve done but fuck it was as if I had a lock/vice on the logical and correct thing to do during the spur of the moment. I’m fucking mad that this job has developed a script following, customer service bending personality during work which is probably risking my health at the moment. I’m mad I didn’t follow the correct protocol to ensure I’m not under 100% risk. I’m frustrated because those customers couldn’t keep their dog under control while in public, as I’m a dog owner that understands my dogs behaviors. Hopefully I don’t get anything serious from this as this wasn’t a bleeding wound but just a nip that’s bruising, and the dog didn’t show any behavior of sickness but more of a hunteprotecting behavior. I will go to urgent care in morning to see if I need to get shots from anything considering this dog is gone and god knows when and if these customers will comeback and take responsibility from their end (which I doubt such miracle will occur) I don’t know what’s the other next step to productively assess this but I know I’m gonna cut my bending over customer service persona as it has probably risked my life. Rants over and bare with my grammar and spelling because I also worked a double shift as well 🥳
A coworker made a joke that I won the life lottery to rake in money from a lawsuit and just let the winning ticket fly away lol

2024.05.20 06:51 Putrid_Will_3566 Update on brother

Using this user as a blog to document this. Ngl I probably won't update too much, mix of anxiety and I work a lot and don't have time. Excuse spelling/grammar it's almost midnight typing this out.
Brother got diagnosed with cancer January this year. It was right after my birthday, like a shitty belatent birthday gift. Osteosarcoma, I believe the same cancer that killed technoblade. He live with my family ~12 hour drive from me. Before the diagnosis, I hadn't really seen or heard from him since I moved out (~2018). He's 13, and I feel like a shitty older sibling not doing more, but what can ya do? :/
There's a hospital about 4 hours from me that specializes in this cancer. I also am like "holy shit, we are so privileged during this hard time." We have family in the area, we have doctors in the family who can get us good ins, they have money for food/travel, and they have such a strong support group in our hometown... And in a way I'm glad? Glad we have this, but also can not imagine those who are working with less... It's tragic.
Anyway, I got to visit my brother twice. Once was for him to get his ""official diagnosis,"" (the original diagnosis was just from a CAT scan iirc, it looked like cancer. This one they actually sampled his mass and yeah, cancer.) I think we caught it just in time? There might be some in his lungs (that's how it kills) but it's really small, and the doctor didn't seem too worried about it. (Just one very VERY small mass, could easily be missed, which is "unusual for this type of cancer." But still scary). It was here we realized my brother was going to lose his leg. That trip was the last time I saw him with both his legs.
The second trip was to support him while he got a rotation plasty surgery. Basically they ""amputated"" his leg from knee to above the ankle. They turned his foot around so now his foot/ankle is his knee. (Because the foot remains intact it's "technically not an amputation," nerve endings and all. But he still has phantom itches as he learns where his nerves are now) This was the best way from him to remove the leg cancer, while not leaving his leg completely crippled. That trip was a little hard. Seeing my brother "post chemo" and with his leg reattached.
Poor thing was in so much pain, and needed his leg adjusted to ease the pain, and at first I was scared to touch him. Like "I want to help, but what if I make it worse?" Pro tip, you're not gonna make it worse. Be confident, listen, and go slow. When I held his foot in the air I could see releaf come over him. I think after 3 days the pain became more bearable, and after that, dude was completely owning his new leg.
He mastered the walker, cruches, wheelchair, he was rasing cousins down the hallway (aunt was like "yeah we're totally breaking a couple rules" lol). By no means is this easy for him, but things will be okay.
He was glad I was there, I think I helped him stay calm when he got upset with Mom. He was really upset, I try to tell myself "it's because of the cancesurgery, he's a teen, and mom doesn't understand him," but I worry toxic influences are getting to him. Mostly Dad who's "totally not a misogynist," infact he has self proclaimed to be "the most feminist man out there." Yeaaaah, and he follows/listens to men who make fun of women and proclaim what women should be like. 🙄 Dad also caused a lot of drama, but that's another post. I want this to be about my brother.
I wish I could be there for him, and like I am there when I can be. He has a phone now, but I don't know what to talk to him about. He's not much of a talker anyway. Silver lining is I have a twin in the hometown, which is something. It's not me, but at least the younger siblings have an older one with them for support. I haven't left them completely high and dry. But I wish they had better influencers, adults who would listen to them when they have problems.
Anyway, I should wrap this up. Chemo is going as planned, slight adjustments, but nothing completely off schedule. We got to hold our breath that we got it in time. Little bro has all the support he could ask for, and while the future is unknown, it feels hopeful.
Signing off for the night.

2024.05.20 06:48 That_Anonymous_One [F4M (24F here)] 18+ Fantasy advance-lit roleplay partner search! "The Lost Princess"

Background:
The continent of GĂŞde is a sprawling land of diverse biomes, vegetation, and different walks of life. Humans, animals, fairies, orcs, vampires. All sorts of creatures inhabit the land and over thousands of years, have formed civilizations, villages, and kingdoms.
There are three prominent kingdoms in Gêde. In the northwestern temperate regions lies the kingdom of [writer’s choice]. In the northeast mountain ranges of Gêde lies Sovia, a kingdom of ice and snow, which is ruled by powerful warlords and greedy kings.Sovia is inhabited by frost giants, yetis, and uldra. But the monarchy consists of a long lineage of Vampyres who have taken favor of the sprawling, mineral-rich land and everlasting arctic nights. Down towards the tropical Niraqian Sea stretches the smaller peninsula kingdom of Al-Khuna. This kingdom, fertile by the sun and sea, is dominated by humans and sun elves on land and Suvannamacchi—mermaid-like creatures—in the sea. Al-Khuna was particularly rich in spices, exotic vegetation, silks, and it was said to have had enough gold to make the sun god himself jealous of the kingdom’s radiance.
Well. that was 100 years ago.
For the last century, the royal Al-Khunian kings of the family Farashi had made some…rather critical financial decisions, mostly driven by greed, ignorance, and arrogance. It was always rumored by the other neighboring kingdoms that one day Al-Khuna would collapse under its own rule. The economy was rapidly beginning to collapse. The frivolous spending, greed, and ignorance of the late Raja, his father before him, and his father before him had plunged the land into its downfall. The entire kingdom had gone into a deep famine, and poverty was running rampant. Even as the old generations of the royal family died off and the new generations were coronated, no one could solve the famine. Drought plagued the land, and trading ports were not outputting enough goods to bring in profit. Al-Khuna was growing desperate.
The Raja should have approached the king in the northwest for help. Perhaps then, Al-Khuna might have been saved. But no. Stupidly, Al-Khuna had struck a deal with Sovia.
All Sovia needed to do was provide food and money and the Al-Khunians would sell their services in any way possible, but more conflicts were arising. The Sovians would demand services and goods that the Al-Khunians did not want to provide, but the Sovians were demanding more payment than what was originally agreed upon. Contracts were broken, and loopholes were taken advantage of. The Raja of Al-Khuna made impulsive mistakes that ultimately left too many vital parts of Al-Khuna as collateral.
A war broke out, but Sovia was too powerful. The Raja of Al-Khuna was too proud to surrender, and when he and his Rani were finally assassinated by the Sovians, every kingdom in GĂŞde watched as Al-Khuna fell under Sovian control.
The only ones of the Farashi line that were spared were the young Prince Adan and his baby sister Princess Iirana, who were ordered by the Sovians to be taken far away where they would not cause any trouble. It was against Sovian morals, of course, to spare children when decimating an entire country.
Prince Adan remembered the massacre, however, and as his birthright to the throne, he planned well into his adulthood how to regain control of Al-Khuna.
~
The Prompt:
"Go! GO! Into the woods!" The booming voice of the prince was nearly drowned out by the sounds of screams, cannons, metal clashing against metal, and destruction. Another battle was raging mercilessly, this time right in the heart of Al-Khuna... It started as a failed assassination attempt on the Sovian prince, who was to marry Princess Iirana—who was now 21. It was all planned out by Prince Adan to regain control of Al-Khuna. They were to arrange matrimony between Prince Veric and Princess Iirana. They were to meet during the Festival of Lights, an annual Al-Khunian traditional party held every Summer Solstice. Iirana was to seduce him, take him somewhere private, and kill him with a kiss with the nightshade painted on her lips.
The Sovian guards saw right through the plan, and all hell broke loose.
Iirana and Adan managed to flee the palace. Shouts and commands could be heard somewhere in the disarray of the battle as Sovian soldiers attempted to track and pursue them. Adan grabbed Iirana's hand and led her through the fray. They ran for what seemed like hours, and they had almost made it to the edge of the kingdom before the prince collapsed with a painful thud. "Adan?" Iirana's eyes widened at the sight of a Sovian arrow impaling right through his leg. He sucked in a sharp breath and yelled through his teeth, "Don't wait for me! Into the woods, Iirana, NOW!!"
She wanted to protest, she wanted to drag him with her, but she knew better, and she fought herself as she fled far into the forest. Far, far away from the raging battle, the screams, the clashing of weapons, and the collapse of buildings on fire. She did not look back to see what had become of her brother.
Al-Khuna was destroyed. The Sovians would make sure there was nothing left for Iirana to return to. The only direction she could go for another safe civilization was northwest across the entire continent.
And that she did.

~
The scene:
“Your Highness! My Lord!” Rowan, The captain of the Royal Guard of the northwestern castle barged into the throne room, interrupting the business his king was attending to. He never behaved in such a manner, and certainly never barged in without a formal announcement. His eyes seemed wide with confusion and urgency, and behind him, two guards were slowly escorting a female figure between them.
“Please forgive me for this sudden intrusion, my lord, but—” Rowan turned his head to watch as his armored men came closer, and the figure slowly becoming more visible to their ruler on the throne.
They had her held firm by arms, but she was not cuffed. She did not seem to struggle either, but rather allowed them to guide her where they wanted her. She was young. Human. Although like no human in this kingdom. She was dressed in a ragged gray peasant dress and black cloak. Her skin was a dark olive tone, as if kissed by the sun god himself. Her fingers and hands were adorned with swirling intricate curlicues of a faded red stain. Her feet were bare, painted with the same patterns. Her hair was thick and falling over her shoulders like tendrils of endless black night. Her dark downcast amber eyes seemed…tired. Empty. Dark circles plagued her gaunt face; it was clear that she hadn’t eaten in some time, it seemed like she hadn’t slept in…months. The tightness of her pupils resembled that of an old warrior, one who had seen death and was forever haunted by the horrors of the past.
This was not a normal girl. Not one that was from anywhere near here.
“My lord,” Rowan straightened as he spoke. “She says she is from Al-Khuna. Says she had been traveling for several months. Says she fled from a Sovian attack. They’d apparently done a massacre. Says she escaped.” He spoke rapidly, trying to recount everything that she had told the guards when she initially approached the castle. They didn’t believe her at first, but upon looking at her foreign appearance, they knew they needed to get her to the king right away for his judgment. After that encounter, however, she hadn’t said another word. The exhaustion was simply too much.
After Rowan spoke, the young woman slowly raised her head to meet the king’s eyes. As exhausted as she appeared, there was a certain look about her. There was a certain fire in her eyes that told him that she did indeed come from a powerful line. And she had seen things that only true hell could produce.
My HARD Rules:
I only roleplay on Discord.

Explore your creative freedom! You'll be playing the "leader" of the northwestern kingdom (you get to name the kingdom as well), whether that be king, prince, emperor, or whatever you'd like to call your character. Have your kingdom be any race you want! Humans, elves, orcs, vampires, etc., or make up your very own! They can of course have magic or any other special traits that you'd like. This is your domain to play with.
Thank you for reading this rather long prompt. If you are interested, please message or DM me through Reddit with your RESPONSE to the prompt, as if you are starting the roleplay with me. I want to see how your writing is and if you are what I’m looking for. If you are not interested, thank you anyway for your time, and happy roleplaying!

The Urban Armor Gear Monarch Pro Kevlar case for the MagSafe iPhone 15 Pro is a piece of gear that has become part of my daily routine. It's my reliable protective companion for my phone, and it's one of those things that you always find yourself reaching for when you need it.
The first thing that stands out to me is the strength and durability of the case. I've dropped my phone more times than I care to admit, but the Monarch Pro Kevlar case has always managed to protect it. The built-in shock absorption and reinforced corners work wonders in those unexpected situations. The clarity and UV durability of the case are also noteworthy, as I've never had to worry about my phone being scratched or damaged while it's inside the case.
However, the Monarch Pro Kevlar case isn't without its drawbacks. It can be a bit difficult to remove, especially after prolonged use. But on the bright side, the plastic back doesn't absorb dirt, which makes it easier to clean. I do wish that it had better protection for the action button, as it can be a bit tricky to access.
Overall, the Urban Armor Gear Monarch Pro Kevlar case is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and sturdy phone case. The combination of strength, durability, and UV protection make it a top contender for protecting your MagSafe iPhone 15 Pro, even if it's not perfect.
So, if you're someone who's always on the go and needs a reliable way to protect your phone, the Monarch Pro Kevlar case might just be the one you've been looking for.

The Urban Armor Gear Monarch Pro Kevlar case is a sturdy and durable option for MagSafe iPhone users. As someone who's had the pleasure of using this case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max, I can confidently say that it provides reliable protection against drops.
One of the highlights of this case is the use of Kevlar material for the armor frame, making it a strong and resilient shell. The combination of the shock-resistant core, the polycarbonate shear plate, alloy metal hardware, and the rubber surrounding provides a robust defense against potential impacts. The corner waben structure allows for excellent shock absorption, ensuring the phone's screen remains unharmed during accidents.
Additionally, the Monarch Pro Kevlar offers a convenient raised edge around the display, safeguarding the screen from scratches and damage when placed on flat surfaces. Although I haven't personally tested it in a medical setting, the product claims to have been evaluated in one.
This case also offers unobstructed access to all aspects of the phone - buttons, ports, and the touchscreen - allowing for easy use with the MagSafe charging feature. The clear UV-resistant exterior maintains its clarity despite prolonged use, resisting any dirt buildup.
While the Monarch Pro Kevlar is a solid buy for iPhone users requiring extra protection, some drawbacks are worth mentioning. Firstly, the fit might be a bit loose on certain MagSafe chargers that have protruding round charging pucks, causing the charger to lose its magnetic grip. Secondly, the button covers don't extend to accommodate the camera's action button, making it a bit inconvenient to use.
Through my experience using this case daily, I can confidently say it provides dependable protection while maintaining a good balance between form and function. If you're on the lookout for a reliable MagSafe case for your iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Urban Armor Gear Monarch Pro Kevlar case might just be the one you need.

I recently got my hands on the Tashhar Heavy Duty Hard Shockproof Armor Protector Case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I must say, I've been really impressed with it. The case offers excellent protection against dust, drops, and scratches, making it a reliable choice for everyday use.
One of the biggest highlights for me was its non-slip feature, which kept my phone safe and secure in my hand. Additionally, the case has an easily accessible belt clip holster that doubles as a kickstand, making it perfect for hands-free viewing.
However, one downside I noticed was that it didn't offer the best coverage for the built-in front screen protector, which means you'll have to be extra careful when placing the phone in the case. Nevertheless, overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and the level of protection it provides.

A few weeks ago, I decided to give the Monarch Pro Kevlar case a try. It's sleek, stylish, and packed with features that I found quite impressive. It boasts an integrated magnet module that is seamlessly compatible with MagSafe charging, allowing me to charge my iPhone 14 Pro Max effortlessly.
While the case is built to be rugged, it still manages to maintain an elegant design. The alloy metal hardware and impact-resistant rubber surround are just a few of the highlights that make this case stand out. It's not just functional, but it also looks great.
However, there was one downside I found. I noticed that it adds some bulk to my iPhone, which wasn't ideal if I wanted a slim profile. But overall, I'd say the pros outweigh the cons for this case.
One thing I truly appreciated was the soft honeycomb traction grip on the edges, which made it so much easier to hold onto my phone. The raised screen surround also provided excellent protection for my device. It's always a relief to know my phone is well-protected.
Despite the slight increase in size, I'm quite happy with the Monarch Pro Kevlar case. It's been my go-to case for daily use, and it's been a reliable and stylish accessory for my iPhone.

I've been using the Toru CX Slim for iPhone 15 Pro Max case wallet on a daily basis, and it's become a handy companion for me. The hidden card holder and card slot let me carry my essentials without feeling weighed down. Its scratch-resistant back cover and shock-absorbent bumper shell keep my phone safe from unexpected drops or bumps.
I loved how the back flap cover doubles as an adjustable kickstand, making it perfect for watching videos or reading on the go. The precise measurements and natural tactile response ensure that the case fits perfectly and allows easy access to my phone's features.
As for the additional accessories, the card-sized plastic mirror is a great tool for quick touch-ups, and the detachable adjustable wrist strap adds extra protection from accidental slips. Overall, this Toru case is a must-have for anyone looking for a sleek and practical solution to protect their iPhone 15 Pro Max.

2024.05.20 06:43 That_Anonymous_One [F4M (24F here)] 18+ Fantasy advance-lit roleplay partner search!

2024.05.20 06:40 LWy-lee Ulcer like wounds forming on left foot and ankle. Unsure why

26yo Caucasian male (ftm post transition) Medications: OTC vitamin D Preexisting medical conditions: PCOS
I started experiencing ankle pain a few months ago following an injury earlier this year which I assumed was an ankle sprain but a later X-ray showed a previous fibula fracture I was unaware of. The pain is accompanied by neuropathy, asymmetrical color and temperature changes in the affected leg, decrease in functional movement, and most recently “punched out” ulcer like wounds on the lateral and medial side of my ankle. They’re each about penny sized and form a dark eschar on top when uncovered for too long. I’ve done my best to keep them clean and uninfected but they don’t seem to be healing. I have an appointment with a specialist coming up soon. Before the ulcers I was thinking maybe complex regional pain syndrome because of the asymmetrical color and temperature changes and seemingly unprovoked pain that sits at a baseline 2/10 but spikes at 7/10. I was also wondering if a nerve could be pinched? The ulcers have kind of thrown me for a loop though. I work an active job but the pain has stopped me from exercising. If anyone has any ideas or guesses as to what might be causing this, I’d appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

2024.05.20 06:36 Ego_Identity I (29/M) am fighting every week with my girlfriend (28/F) for the past year and a half after we started to live together. We have been together, for more than 5 years. How do I change myself faster? Or are we incompatible, even if I change?

Long Story for an example of a fight:
I had a haircut the day prior and my girlfriend noticed the product that was used for my haircut was good. It kept my hair in a certain shape that looks good. The day before, she said I should ask what product the hairstylist used, when I get the chance. Today, I showered and noticed my hair was still shaping correctly after it was dry and I talked to her about the product. I wanted to say that I won't be calling the stylist because I think my hair is shaping fine. I don't remember how I specially worded it, but that made her want to help find ways to shape my hair right, and started talking about how she has a hair spray that doesn't feel sticky and hard like a Gel. I rejected her and said I don't want hair spray. she felt offended because I said no without fully listening to her. she asked me why I don't want hair spray, and it was the same reason that she gave to me why she normally doesn't like hairspray, and that the hair spray she is recommending is not like other hairspray. she felt hurt and rejected. I felt like it's the morning and we are fighting again. I smirked when she started to have more stern tone, and that was inconsiderate of me. I didn't want to be bogged down by this again and keep constantly fighting, because I thought I only said one sentence that caused the fight, which was that I don't want hair spray. it became worse and we argued. she told me why what I did was disgusting. I asked her question and shot her down when she was just trying to help. she just kept saying to check myself. I realized I just said that about the product to her because I didn't want product in my hair. so I wasn't being straight with my intention when speaking. I said sorry and apologized about how I was speaking and how I know I need to work on it. we reconciled and went to work out, not fully reconciled.
On the way to the gym, she mentioned that I should seriously check myself, and that my sorry in the future might not cut it anymore. that made me be negative and shut down again. I contemplated about breaking up and why we should even be together still because we fight every week. I have been emotionally drained. We had fights a few days ago as well. While in the negative mood, I worked out, and after I was done, I sat next to her to stretch while she was working out. I closed my eyes and stretched and after a while, I see her waiting, standing right in front of me. She said something on the line of if I was done with working out. I just nodded my head without talking. After that she just started walking out without waiting for me. I noticed she was upset still. On the car, it was silent for a while until I asked what she was going to eat. She said she doesn't know. I said something on the lines of that she should eat something. She was planning to eat buffet in the evening with her friends. I thought she should still eat something until then because we still had 4 hours. She said "if I eat I'll be full." I said she should still eat something. She repeated the same thing that if she eats she will be full. But I said to her that there's other process going on in the body after she eats and that she will digest. She thought that I was condescending because I was telling her something she already knows and I repeated 4 times. I did that because she gave me the same answer. She started cursing and yelling at me. I am not feeling good about this relationship. I know I hurt her and she has reasons to yell and curse at me, but I can't continue if the environment is like this.
Is it worth it to continue this relationship? We have been constantly fighting every week for a year and a half after we moved in together. We have been in the relationship for more than 5 years. We have "broken up" 5 times, but I only physically left the place for a week once. She loves me, and I love her, but she believes I love her even less. She is willing to work it through, and won't quit until I do. If we ever break up, it will have to be me who decides. In the relationship, I know I have to grow and become better. During the relationship, I know I focused mainly on work to grow my career, and she has been feeling neglected. I have also been neglecting my own physical health for my work, and she feels that I am not prioritizing her. Which if I think about it, is true. She has been great and independent. She is financially stable, and makes more than me. I feel like she is way better than me. And I know I have to work on myself dramatically. Not just for the relationship, but also as an adult. She lived independently for years before meeting me, and she is very self sustainable. I haven't been, and I only do things the bare minimum to survive, as she puts it. For every fight, she had guided me to resolve it. When we fight, we talk for hours. It always starts with me hurting her from what I say, and I get triggered by her tone and it feels condescending. When I get triggered, I shut down, staying quiet and sometimes I talk back to justify my actions. In the end, I try my best to put down my ego. We end up reconciling with me saying sorry and apologizing. I do feel bad for causing her pain. These days it's starting to be worse in my opinion. I keep making similar mistakes as before, and she becomes livid and start cursing and yelling. I feel disrespected and frustrated. I talk back and always end up saying sorry and reconciling. I just want to know if there is light at the end of the tunnel. I want to change, but I feel it's hard to in this environment that I am seeing as toxic for the both of us. How do I change myself faster?
I need to work on communication skills. Speaking with my true intentions rather than phrasing that would cause miscommunication.
I need to be more considerate, and watch what I say to not offend, even if we are comfortable with each other.
I need to be more considerate in doing things for my girlfriend. She has been doing way more for me than I have for her.
I need to be stepping up more for the household, and I know this is not fair for her.
I want to do all these, but it makes me feel depressed every time we fight, and wares me down. If I'm not in love fully with her, I want to make it grow, and I want to reach her with the same intensity that she does. Love isn't enough, and I know I have to work harder to be better.

2024.05.20 06:35 LanguageOld1784 Daughter refuses to use the bathroom at night alone

I’m not entirely sure how to go about this. My 5 year old was late getting out of nappies at night. Her nappies were never dry in the mornings so I assumed she was still not ready. Eventually as she reached 5 though it seemed we would just have to do it and hope she learns to wake up in time. To my surprise she actually started waking up almost 75% of the time. So I take her every night before I go to bed, around 10.30pm. However after this she wakes up at least once more, usually between 1-3am and later sometimes again at 6.30am. At 6.30 she will get out of bed and go on her own because it’s starting to get light but in the middle of the night she will lie in bed and scream, shout and cry at the top of her lungs until I get up and take her. She has managed to go twice by herself but she’s sobbing the whole way. I realised she’s obviously scared so I’ve put bright nightlights down the corridor and in the bathroom (which is the room after mine and I’m next to her room) and a light in the bathroom. She also has a torch but she won’t use it. My husband has suggested she just put on a lamp but I was worried that would just wake her up too much so am looking to get a dim one, but if she refuses to use that as well and still won’t go then I’m out of ideas. It’s been 2 months of this happening nightly, we are all totally exhausted and last night my husband just stated she’s going back in nappies as we can’t be doing this anymore. In the moment I agreed because I’m just so tired but I do think that’s not the solution and I know he doesn’t think that is either, she has to somehow over come her fear of getting up on her own. Does anyone have any similar situation that overcame or any advice? Am I approaching this all wrong? Do I need to offer some incentives or is there a way to help her without me always having to be there? Or is it a matter of time. It’s not even like me waking up once is a bad thing, it’s jumping out of my skin because she’s screaming every night and clearly seems in distress that she’s about to wet herself but won’t get up to go. Thanks!!

As an avid interior design enthusiast, I've been continually scouting for ways to spruce up my living space without breaking the bank. I stumbled upon the Dysmio Ceiling Fan Light Covers and let me tell you, they've brought a whole new level of elegance and charm to my home. These small details make a world of difference when it comes to altering the atmosphere of a room.
The Dysmio Ceiling Fan Light Covers are traditional bell-shaped glasses made from clear hammered glass that gently ripples light, casting delicate patterns throughout my space. They've added a touch of sophistication and class that perfectly complements the existing decor. It's amazing how much of a difference a simple replacement of light covers can make in transforming your home's look and feel.
One thing that really stood out for me was the ease of installation. Each cover comes with its own mounting hole, making it a breeze to attach to my ceiling fans, wall lamps, and chandeliers. The standard 2-1/4-inch fitter also ensures versatility, so I didn't have to worry about compatibility issues.
However, the one aspect that could be improved is the size. With a height and depth of 4.75 inches, and a base width of 4.95 inches, they might not be the perfect fit for every type of light fixture. But in my case, they were just the right size to bring a renewed sense of style and ambiance to my living space.
In conclusion, the Dysmio Ceiling Fan Light Covers are an affordable and effective way to breathe new life into your home's lighting fixtures, transforming your living space with elegant and classic charm. I can wholeheartedly recommend these light cover replacements for anyone looking to elevate their interior design without breaking the bank.

I've recently added the Boao Gold Crystal Lamp Shade to my living room, and I couldn't be happier with the sparkle it brings to the space. This product not only gives off a warm, inviting glow, but it's also incredibly durable. The non-toxic paint ensures that it won't easily rust or fade, making it a great addition to any room.
One thing to note is that the assembly process does require some effort, but once it's up and running, the payoff is worth it. The diamond and cylindrical shape of the lampshade complements a variety of decors, making it a versatile piece to have in your home.
However, keep in mind that the size might not be ideal for those looking to install this in a smaller room or ceiling height. Additionally, the packaging could use some improvement to ensure that the delicate crystal pieces remain intact during shipping.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Boao Gold Crystal Lamp Shade to anyone looking to enhance the ambiance of their living space with a touch of sparkle and elegance.

I recently installed the XIDING Clear & Frosted Ceiling Fans Light Covers Glass Shade in my living room, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for my interior lighting. The handmade quality of this glass shade is truly impressive, and it adds a touch of elegance to our ceiling fan.
One of the best things about this glass shade is its compatibility with various ceiling fan light kit products that use a 2-1/8 inch fitter. This made replacing my old, damaged glass shade incredibly easy and straightforward. Plus, the water-resistant material makes cleaning a breeze!
However, it's crucial to correctly measure the inside diameter of your glass holder before purchasing this product. This ensures a perfect fit and avoids any disappointment upon installation. Additionally, although I didn't encounter any issues during installation, it's essential to have an adult on hand to assist with moving and placing the glass shade safely.
Customer satisfaction is a top priority for XIDING. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can request a refund as long as the item and package are in original and perfect condition.
Overall, the XIDING Clear & Frosted Ceiling Fans Light Covers Glass Shade has completely transformed my living space, and I am confident that it will do the same for you. Its durable construction, versatile compatibility, and easy-to-clean surface make it a must-have addition to any home.

My journey with the Turner Light Covers has been nothing short of a breeze. As an avid DIY enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for products that can simplify my home maintenance efforts. This product checks all the boxes - from its sleek, low-profile design to its high-quality construction, it definitely stands out.
What I really dug about the Turner Light Covers is their ease of installation. They come with their own patented trim ring mounting system which makes it incredibly easy to replace bulbs without fumbling around with tools or risking any injuries from hidden pests. The fact that they're compatible with up to 8-inch recessed lights adds to their versatility, making them suitable for both commercial and residential use.
Another key feature of these light covers is their resilience against heat and rust. They're built to handle the harsh outdoor elements, giving you peace of mind knowing they won't degrade over time. Additionally, the transparent screen provides protection without compromising on light output, ensuring your space stays bright and inviting.
However, despite all these positives, I did find one con - the price. It's a bit on the higher side compared to similar products in the market. But given the durability and convenience they offer, I think it's a worthwhile investment.

Another highlight of the glass shade is the way it beautifully filters the light, casting subtle raindrop-shaped patterns on my walls. It has transformed my space, giving it a touch of romance and artistry that I absolutely adore.
However, one concern I have is its fragility. I would advise handling it with care, as it might break if dropped.

As a homeowner who recently installed the Tenmat Recessed Light Cover, I can attest to its effectiveness in stopping unwanted air leakage through my recessed lights. I was initially concerned about how compatible these covers would be with my IC-rated recessed lights, but after reading through the installation instructions and checking the specs, I found that they worked perfectly.
The FF130E is made from a fire-safe material and has been tested to meet UL1598 and IEC 60598-1 standards, providing peace of mind when it comes to safety. One of the standout features of this product is its ease of installation; it took me just a few minutes to cover each light without any special tools or assembly required.
Another positive aspect of the Tenmat Recessed Light Cover is its ability to save energy. By providing an airtight seal over my recessed lights, I've noticed a significant reduction in drafts and noise, leading to a more comfortable living space.
However, there is one drawback worth mentioning. Some users might find the product's price point to be slightly higher than other alternatives on the market. Despite this, I believe the quality and performance of the Tenmat FF130E make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve their home's energy efficiency and overall comfort.

đź”—Stained Glass Light Shade for Chandelier, Wall Sconce or Pendant

I recently used the EZ Shade Clip on Ceiling Light Bulb Cover in my garage, and I absolutely love it! It was super easy to install, and it completely transformed the look of my garage. The matte white shade covers the exposed bulb and provides a nice, diffused light that's perfect for working on projects.
One of the best things about this product is that it really is "EZ" to install. I mean, it took me less than a minute to clip it onto the bulb – no tools or re-wiring required! The scratch, UV, and shatter-resistant materials make me feel confident that my light bulb is secure and won't cause any safety concerns.
However, there was one minor inconvenience that I experienced. The metal clasp could be a little more versatile in terms of positioning. For instance, I had to bend it slightly to accommodate the shape of my light bulb, but it wasn't a big deal and it didn't affect the overall performance of the product.
I also appreciate the fact that this product is made in the USA by local and family-owned businesses. Plus, each purchase supports the disabled community by providing vocational work. It's a win-win for everyone!
Overall, I am extremely happy with the EZ Shade Clip on Ceiling Light Bulb Cover. It's a simple yet effective solution for covering exposed bulbs and improving the ambiance of any room. I highly recommend giving it a try!

You know how sometimes a simple piece can complete the look of your living space? Well, that's exactly what my Voguad White Opal glass lamp shade did for me. This little glass shield, with its frosted exterior and white opal finish, has the power to transform any room into a warm and inviting haven.

How do I know which type of ceiling light cover will match my existing decor?

Consider the style, material, and color of your room's existing decor when selecting a new ceiling light cover. Glass or clear light covers provide a timeless, elegant look, while opaque or patterned covers can add a modern or vintage touch to your space. Ensure the cover blends seamlessly with your room's design and color scheme.

Can I install a ceiling light cover replacement myself, or should I hire a professional?

Homeowners with basic electrical knowledge can typically replace their ceiling light covers without the help of a professional. However, if you feel uncomfortable or unsure about handling electrical components, it's recommended to hire a licensed electrician for safety reasons.

How much does it cost to replace a ceiling light cover?

The cost to replace a ceiling light cover can vary greatly depending on the type of material, style, and brand of the new cover. Prices typically range from $10 to $50 or more for high-end designs. Adding the cost of installation by a professional can add an additional $50 to $100 or more to the total cost.

How can I find the best ceiling light cover replacement options?

To find the best ceiling light cover replacement options, consider browsing home improvement stores, visiting online retailers, and reviewing customer feedback from other purchasers. Comparing prices and styles from several sources can help you identify the most suitable option for your needs and budget.

2024.05.20 06:28 mymind_wentblank Bossy coworker halp

I am one month working in apparel and I love it but I have an older coworker who’s 68, I am 28. I don’t talk back to her because she’s older but jesus she’s really gotten under my skin. To the point I am dreading even going to work if she is there.
I work second shift and she always wants to zone together. I hate it, I go way faster if I’m by myself. I don’t care for her conversations about mundane things.
Apparently there was a meeting and it’s actually preferred we swarm together. Today the team lead rounded us and another lady and told us to swarm.
If I’m walking by her and dropping something off she always tries to give me something to put away or drop off. Earlier I threw away some hangers, she was near. she told me to go throw away the trash from apparel by the baler. That thing is all the way at the back of the store. I told her the maintenance guys were near, which is true and she told me to tell them to get it. I didn’t cause hello use the intercom??
When I was heading out to lunch today, I had to walk past her and she says “go to lunch”. Umm no shit. Where tf does it look like I’m going??
She also wants me to tell her when I go on break so that we don’t go at the same time. But since I’ve been there she willingly doesn’t take one.
How do I go about addressing her? The team leads are careless and the coach is power hungry, no one likes talking to her.
She always makes me do the returns since “I’m young” she said. I don’t mind the returns but like she’s not even a damn supervisor. I’ve never encountered this issue in any job I’ve had before.

2024.05.20 06:27 _ghostimage Sharing What is Working For Me

I've had toenail fungus for as long as I can remember. Started on my pinky toenails when I was a child and I'm now about to turn 34. I have tried sooo many products and nothing has made a noticeable difference. I started getting it on my big toenails recently and said enough is enough, I'm going to find a way to cure this. I've been doing this treatment routine since the beginning of April and I'm seeing marked improvement. Here is what I did/am doing:
The urea helps break down the diseased part of the nails and slough off the crap from your nail beds. It also helps the Lamisil penetrate. The thickness of the nails that are starting to grow out is hugely improved and they look slightly less yellow. A couple of the nails that weren't that bad to start are looking like they're almost totally clear of the yellowing. Since I've never seen any real improvement before now, I'm really excited! I'll post before and after pics once I've treated them for longer and am hopefully cured. I wanted to share in case this helps someone else. Let me know if have any questions!

2024.05.20 06:26 Financial-Orchid938 Nurgles roster needs a fly swarm

Just a single entity unit that looks like a massive winding swarm of flies. Doesn't do any damage but causes a debuff and maybe causes monsters or cav to rampage or slow down.
Lore wise a nurgle army is always accompanied by a swarm of flies which end up affecting the battle by themselves, blinding men, crawling in armor and biting skin, messing up horses, and such. It would look great cinematic wise.
It'd be a cool unit for great unclean ones and lords to summon. Doesn't have any tabletop presence so idk if GW would allow it. But I'd absolutely love to see it.
