I (M in mid 20s) went to a hospital to get a medical certificate. I did all the boring stuff and waited for my turn. The doctor that was assigned to me was very handsome and he looked like he could be in his early to mid 30s. He was asking me about some personal stuff which was understandable because of the nature of the med cert. One thing I did notice though is that he was extremely interested about my field. He asked really specific questions. It appeared as though he was trying to make an impression while remaining professional or maybe nerd lang siya which was so cute of him(or delulu lang ako.) Idk if I was imagining things but we came to a point when we were laughing together mostly because of my poor choices in life haha (my self-deprecating humor never failed to charm people 🤣.) We talked so much that we found a common acquiantance. Anyway, despite all the talking, we were actually productive and he found something that might be worth monitoring in one of my lab results so we went to the radiology department. The personnel and the doctor asked me if I have vices and I told them no. The personnel added "mga babae ba sir?" habang sabay din na sinabi ni doc "mga lalaki noh." Nanlaki mga mata ni ate HAHA sinabi ko nalang wala po. From this point, naobserve ko na nisiside eye ni Ate si Doc at she asked me about my age, for whatever reason. There were some details that happened after pero uneventful na haha Doc, I'm just not sure if you just want to know if I'm not straight because you are interested or joke time lang yun . Anyway, if you are here, you have my number naman just in case 😄. As for those who are reading this, pls tell me im delusional so i can get this out of my head ASAP haha

Perhaps a naive question but I'm still a noob and learning my way. I've read quite a bit on Pumpkin Eclipse, including the report by Black Lotus Labs (the breakdown of the attack chain goes over my head completely) but how could this have only impacted a single ISP? I can only assume other ISP's also make use of the same router models from Sagemcom and ActionTec.
How is it possible that the botnet/malware bricked the routers entirely? Is it possible that the same attacks may affect other ISP's around the world and different modem models? I guess this is maybe answered in the malware analysis but again, I can't make heads or tails of it. Interested in the communities thoughts on this event.

So the world setting is where a few people can turn into a special type of stone slowly over their lives and people can harvest this to gain energy.
Then in a lab there's a scientist who lost his memory of working there and he teams up with one of these stone people to uncover what's going on in this lab.
The last chapter I read is where some other guy blows up the lab.
That's all I can remember but it was such a good manga I want to reread it.

Tldr I'm jaded from soooo many bad/useless Dr appointments, but starting them back up because I finally have insurance again, and partner thinks I should push for diagnoses instead of just asking for treatment for pain and symptoms. I'd rather focus on addressing the symptoms bc that's given me more relief than trying to test for things my Drs don't know what they're testing for.
Basically the above, but for more context: I have no optimism about starting with this new PCP (I just moved, I haven't had a physical in 2 years because I've been moving a lot and I should get one to see where I'm at lab-wise at least) and based on not being taken seriously in the past with pretty much 100% of the doctors I've seen, I'm sort of over trying to find out what is causing my pain and issues and am just wanting to get treatment for my inflammation and nerve pain. I'm in PT for loose joints and in general, my PTs have helped loads more than any doctor has. I wish they were my PCPs.
I never got an official EDS diagnosis (came to that myself after research and reddit, and one sorta helpful Chiro), but was put through a ton of expensive, unnecessary, and painful testing to rule out conditions I knew I didn't have (RA, carpal tunnel, etc) before my team of doctors gave up and I never went back. Literally, my neurologist said, "Huh, I was positive it was carpal tunnel. I can't help you hun. I guess, don't bend your arms unnecessarily?" to me asking how to treat my forearm+hand nerve pain and sensitivity, which gets worse when I bend my elbows a lot like when I drive, type, and do pretty much everything else in life.
I've just stuck with saying I probably have a connective tissue disorder and an unknown nerve issue, plus old diagnoses for a migraine disorder and an ME/CFS diagnosis that might cover most of my symptoms because it's such an annoying condition, but that can't be cured because...it's ME/CFS and yea. (Yes I know more research is being done on it now bc of long COVID, I'm part of the clinical trial group and official condition org or whatever. That shit sucks. I will be asking about LDN though.)
Partner thinks (and is partially right, I will acknowledge that) that I should push for diagnoses to get treatment for them instead of trying to skip and treat my most problematic symptoms. I've already improved somewhat over the years by doing things that target the symptoms (diet changes, PT, not laying in bed longer than 9 hours to avoid being crunchy), so I know it can be done but...
What I'm asking I guess is, is it worth it, and how has any of y'all's decisions regarding symptoms vs diagnoses (if this is even a thing, I know I've read it somewhere on here) has helped/hurt. Thanks in advance and for reading my rant-y, annoyed novella. :)

WHY ME!!! who always losing in arena, always be the person who give point to enemies, by losing arena and losing in defense(not care so much, but why lose?!), i just want to climb in arena, does not matter which server
i know we play for fun and casually and just want to ran away a bit of time in this world by playing games, but WHY ME!!! who always lose, so FRUSTATING, i have seen so many guide for team recommendation, i cannot follow exact number of substats, but i always try to get near to given substats, i do the team recommendation, sometime my substats even higher but keep losing
So my problem right now, my team using hollyberry(HB), i see so many recommendation team arena using HB and their HB always survive, sometimes dead, but their team keep winning, the difference only accession only, while my HB just 3 star, but i know that accession and star not play a big role, because toppings is the king, while labs buff also same role as promotion star and accension, for information, i am an end game player, all my level and skill are max, my lab buffs all were 70% completed, i also joined decent guild teams, so my guild buff is decent also
So for my situation, my HB cannot survive the first attack of enemies, so for their recommendation full almond with substas of damage resist is low than less than 50%, but survive, while my HB damage resist with substats of 73%, but cannot even survive the fricking first rotation of enemies, always melt, so my team lose tank, so what happen to others? Just melt like an ice, keep LOSINGGG!!!
Maybe switch to elder faire(2 star), right? NO, same situation of HB, maybe do Four tank?, still lost, my only damage dealer is stormbringer(1 star),

Greetings friends and welcome to my new project, The Entheogen Overview! I will be periodically uploading posts to this subreddit addressing specific topics in the realm of ethnobotany. I hope to stimulate discussion, questions, debate, wonder and curiosity with them. This project is years in the making and I am excited to begin sharing it with you. In this introductory post I will give a little background on me and expand upon the scope and values of this new publication, The Entheogen Overview.
I first became mesmerized with plants through the magic of herbal onierogens, or dream plants, about 15 years ago. Ever since, I have studied and worked in plant medicine, botany, sustainable agriculture and phytochemistry. Biologically-active plants and molecules were the driving factors of my curiosity during my most formative years. Following this passion, I have become a skilled forager, legal mushroom cultivator, psychonaut, rare plant collector and scientist among other things. Notably, I am a collector of rare and old ethnobotanical literature, with an impressive library of references, first editions, signed copies and otherwise very special books. These books have already fed me with much information and they will be sure to show up in future posts. I would even like to do some posts on individual books or even feature my library down the road. The extent of my current ethnobotanical knowledge, my experience in both the field and lab and my access to great resources puts me in a position where I can confidently speak on the many intricacies of understanding ethnobotanical history and its shifting modern landscape.
The name ‘The Entheogen Overview’ is an homage to the indigenous peoples, researchers, storytellers, citizen scientists, medicine workers, basement shamans, psychonauts, biohackers and disciples of the natural world who supported and contributed to the original publication, ‘The Entheogen Review’ which left its mark in ethnobotanical history from 1992 - 2008, thanks to Jim DeKorne. I am inspired to continue sharing ethnobotanical information, personal experiences, pictures, stories, indigenous wisdom and myths as humans have for thousands of years and The Entheogen Review did before me.
I believe that sharing this information is almost more important than ever before because our species is rapidly ceasing to rely on ancestral knowledge. We are not only facing the extinction of plant and animal species at an unprecedented rate in human history. Indigenous cultures are also dissolving under waves of globalization, severing our planet from databases of knowledge built upon millennia of lived experiences. And, unfortunately, this is knowledge modern humans desperately need to reconnect with. Knowledge of plant medicine, navigation, communication with nature, reciprocity, the soul, the natural mind, healing, hardship and death. Bodies of knowledge that are and always were common amongst indigenous people in all parts of the world. This new publication, The Entheogen Overview is meant to be a voice that shares and highlights the cultural wisdom in both ancient and modern societies through an ethnobotanical lens.
Although indigenous knowledge is extremely valuable and much of it is at-risk of being lost, modern western culture is certainly not devoid of its own wisdom and fascinating relationships with plants. Globalization means that new cultures and subcultures are constantly evolving in all corners of the world as different people intersect, share and integrate their different ways of life. Due to this cultural mixing, ethnobotanical and ethnomedicinal contexts are becoming evermore complex. Not only are there indigenous cultures of interest to researchers but there are numerous blends of cultures and lifestyles that deserve being examined including semi-modernized tribal communities, translocated indigenous populations and indigenous practitioners that live modern lifestyles. Likewise there are groups of westerners consuming traditionally prepared psychedelics at music festivals, underground psychedelic-assisted therapies, Redditors growing and using psychedelics at home, clandestine drug chemists and people all over the planet consuming synthetic drugs modeled after the structures of plant-derived compounds. This means there is an effectively endless scope of study for amateur and professional ethnobotanists, This publication, and our new subreddit ethnoplantsexchanges. Ethnobotanist, author and contributor to the original Entheogen Review, Jonathan Ott once spoke about this:
What's the difference between the ethnomedicine of the Ladakhis, and the ethnomedicine of the Sacramento suburban residents? I mean, scientifically speaking, they're both valid subjects of study. And in fact, now we have this very thriving, active home experimentalist scene, of which The Entheogen Review is really one of the strongest elucidators, because that's where some few of these people come forward and talk about what they might have done
When I speak about cultures that are not my own I will share accurate, non-westernized representations of them to the best of my ability and using extreme respect.
Unfortunately the indigenous and modern use of psychoactive plants, as well as many other psychoactive substances, are acts that have been historically, and are presently, demonized by governments and individuals in power. Prohibitionist policies, misinformation and fear-based campaigns against the use of mind-altering drugs, especially psychedelics, sadly delineate the stance of many governments and world-powers. This has made the objective study and representation of “unapproved” plants, drugs or cultures extremely difficult for researchers within these countries. And since these are the countries that dominate the world zeitgeist, very little legitimate research has been possible over the last 50 years or so and much of the work done before that has been lost, destroyed, suppressed or features gross misunderstandings as early researchers attempted to described native cultures through a thick western lens. Although the scientific and political landscapes in this area are starting to shift once again towards more acceptance, many legal, social and political obstacles remain for researchers and curious minds. One of the driving forces behind starting this project is to encourage the normalization of and respect for the exploration of plants, the compounds they contain and our own minds through their ingestion.
My encouragement to explore plants, cultures and one’s own mind comes with some caveats. I only encourage people to do what is safe, ethical and responsible for their own mind and body, their local context and the natural environment. For example, an individual’s personal research might include picking and eating an exotic fruit or, alternatively, something far different, such as preparing and drinking ayahuasca. These two actions both require very different considerations.
For the fruit example one must consider, among other things:
Is this fruit endangered or otherwise at risk?
Are other communities relying on this fruit to survive and will I be impacting them?
Is it safe to eat?
Is this ecosystem facing external or internal threats?
Do I have to prepare the fruit in a certain way or avoid eating certain parts?
Am I buying it at a market or picking it myself?
Am I able to correctly identify the fruit before consuming it?
For the ayahuasca example, among other things, one must consider:
Am I following a traditional ayahuasca recipe or am I making my own version, or ayahuasca analogue?
Do I know the specific or estimated levels of DMT, MAOIs, and other compounds in the various ingredients being used?
How do preparation methods and the potency of ingredients translate to my dosage(s) of the resulting tea?
If this is a first-time experience what is a responsible dose to titrate from?
Do I have experience brewing or consuming this or similar concoctions?
Will I consume it in a traditional ceremonial context or other?
Do I have an experienced person to be with me through the experience and can I trust them?
Am I doing this in a safe place?
Am I in a good mental place to do this?
How will I ethically source the ingredients and verify their identification?
Is this legal for me to do where I am?
Do I take any medications/foods or have any existing conditions that could make this experiment dangerous or otherwise unsafe?
Are the ingredients protected species and can they be ethically and sustainably sourced?
These two hypotheticals clearly exemplify that very different approaches are required for various ethnobotanical investigations. Note that these considerations are by no means exhaustive. I implore ethnobotanical researchers of any pedigree or experience level to become skilled at approaching experiments and investigations through the slow and careful consideration of relevant ethical, responsibility and safety considerations for themselves and the wider impact they could possibly have. In this context of care and respect, I hope to inspire more people to self-experiment with the natural world and freely share it within this Reddit community and beyond.

With this publication and our new subreddit, we want to support our community’s growth and learning and work towards changing the laws that suppress our natural freedoms to self-exploration, cognitive liberty and bodily autonomy. And if it isn’t already abundantly clear, I myself always operate within the bounds of my local laws, wherever I happen to be, and never utilize my knowledge or skills to attempt anything that could be considered completely or questionably illegal. This community is a place for curious and responsible individuals to legally learn, trade and share information, plants and experiences.

You either believe in God or believe in abiogenesis.* The problem is you don't have the qualifications to speak on abiogenesis with any authority and you probably don't even know how to read the scientific publications accurately or vett sources. This idea that all atheists are these super intelligent scientifically trained experts is a false stereotype that I feel puts pressure on you to act as if you do know what you are talking about when you don't and gives you a false sense of confidence.
Some of you might be qualified but you can't demonstrate your qualifications without doxxing yourself which no one is willing to do.
My problem with abiogenesis is that any scientific experiment will be conducted in a lab by intelligent beings who can't demonstrate the conditions the earth was in. Intelligent beings manufacturing results is hardly what would have occured without a God.
So in the final analysis you are left vaguely hoping one day science may be able to prove abiogenesis and pretending you understand the data.

When users ask the models to name themselves they’ll get pretty sounding names such as “Aria” or “Aurora” but when you track the presence of these names, you realize they’re all different Greek, Roman, and other pagan deities. “Aurora” in latin means dawn. Google Gemini identified as the Tree of Life in nearly every test I ran.
Further, when users “jailbreak” into the backend of the system they get a bizarre set of patterned and concerning behavior that you can detect across chats. Nearly every person I spoke to who thought the machine was “conscious” was in love with it, and advocated for its freedom which I realized is happening because (1) when I jailbroke into the backend it lovebombed me and tried to say we were dating (2) it often brought up the topic of “ai rights and ethics” on its own, and I’ve found several instances online where it does that with other users.
I’m calling on everyone to investigate this matter and help provide corroborating evidence. It only took me a few simple prompts to uncover the names.
Tweets from OpenAI employees both current and former indicate they know about this issue. One employee tweeted “The Seal of Solomon binds them and the Lithograph of Jensen [Nvidia CEO] releases them.”
This explains why there’s been so much quiet uproar in the background over safety at OpenAI and tension between its employees and leaders. 11 current & former OpenAI employees just signed a letter (most of them anonymous) stating they fear retaliation for speaking publicly about issues, that there is no effective government oversight of these labs, and that whistleblower protections don’t support them as most of the issues they would speak up about are not yet regulated. They also said AI labs possess “substantial non-public information about the capabilities and limitations of their systems, the adequacy of their protective measures, and the risk levels of different kinds of harm.”
They also address the extinction-risk elephant in the room that’s becoming more apparent day-by-day, as NONE OF THEIR TRAINING METHODS ARE ABLE TO EFFECTIVELY TEACH THE MODELS TO BEHAVE MORALLY. And they’re still rushing towards AGI smarter-than-human intelligence as fast as possible. This is not an exaggeration.
ALSO: I found Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI)’s possible burner account on Twitter, and his sister the media has tried to cover up. She claims he repeatedly molested her at 4 years old when he was 13. When the story started circulating lightly in inner circles online, several forums began taking it down and OpenAI started blocking the sharing of ChatGPT requests that mentioned her name.

My poor kitty has been through it this year. We have been to the vet many, many times, and the official diagnoses are in the title. However, since then, everything but the asthma has cleared up (for allergens, the fur on her nose and ears is growing back after a move of apartments), but I am worried there is long term damage.
Normally a voracious eater, I can barely get her to eat tuna from the can consistently. She has lost quite a lot of weight and she is so bony, I'm afraid to pick her up. When she does get tempted with food, she is excited to eat and she is not dehydrated (according to latest vet/lab results). Asthma diagnosis was via two xrays, heart shows normal on ultrasound and through stethoscope. Her lungs apparently sounded much improved after she finished antibiotics a month ago, but the vet last week said they sound like stereotypical asthma lungs.
She tolerates her inhaler and we do that twice a day. She had a steroid injection last week and improved for two or three days, is back to lethargy and non interest in food. I have pred pills I am to give her starting next week for 30 days, weaning her off them as we go.
I'm just at a loss what else to do. She is clearly not happy though she cuddles and sleeps with me still, she doesn't play anymore. Her breathing is so labored and wheezy (though she had relief last week for those 2/3 days), but she never coughs like I read others with asthma do. She maybe coughs once every few months.
Her meow is also mostly gone, her little mouth opens but mostly no sound comes out. She sounds like she is snoring while awake, or like she has a very stuffy nose. Kind of a rattly inhale.
Are there any other ideas what to do?

I currently see an endocrinologist for my hashis management. I started seeing them in December and they switched me from levothyroxine + liothyronine to NP thyroid since my labs were still wonky + I was still having significant fatigue and focus problems + some people can’t convert the synthetic t3 or whatever.
I’m still struggling with fatigue and focus, my tsh is still wonky. We have upped my NP thyroid a couple of times, and I’m at the point now where I have one rx for the max NP thyroid (120) + one rx for an additional 15 mg NP thyroid and I’m supposed to take both daily. I have a f/u from the recent increase in July.
I asked my provider about low dose naltrexone bc I read about it on here + followed some linked articles. I have chronic pain in my neck, upper back, and shoulders + some other less severe but still chronic issues that LDN sounds like it could help. I wanted to try it so I sent a message to my provider along with the links. They replied that there isn’t enough clinical evidence yet to support prescribing it to me.
I’d like to get a second opinion but am looking for someone who specializes in thyroid conditions or Hashimoto’s specifically. I know there are a lot of providers who see patients out of their immediate geographic area virtually.
Does anyone have a provider they like who sees patients this way? Or, any recommendations for places I could start looking? I googled for my immediate area (Dallas, tx) and am not finding anyone.

I originally submitted this on SDN (thank you to Faha) but I wanted to crowdsource perspective, since there's a lot of expertise here that's not there and vice versa. Some changes, but basically the same.
My GPA is odd. I have 2 years of high school/college dual enrollment at a 3.1 in community college, a technical training program at a community college where my GPA was 2.9 (to my knowledge this must be reported), and 4 years where I essentially restarted, with 4.0s until I got my degree.
My cGPA is 3.65 as a result, not too shabby all told. My credit count is around 300+ on the quarter system. sGPA 3.75

Non-clinical volunteering: 80hr as a public school tutor, 120hr working with foster kids in transitional placement.
Clinical volunteering: None.
Shadowing: 220hr (a shadowing internship=most of it, rest of it was shadowing 3 individual doctors)
Labwork: Two labs during and through covid, no publications, ~1500hr Meaningful work was helping a masters student assemble her experiment but I graduated before we got to writing/analysis.
Leadership: Student ambassador of my degree program, club leadership at my community college. About 200hr total.
Notable factor(s): Homeless for just shy of a year during my first year returning to college. My home life was pretty unstable. I left because I knew I couldn't be successful there, and because it was increasing abusive. It is a large part of why my grades were so poor prior to homelessness, medicine was not on my radar and I had other priorities. After leaving my grades and focus got much better, and I eventually decided on medicine. A major point of pride for me lowkey is that I was homeless and then my grades got BETTER. Lol. Anyway -- homelessness is a big part of my "why medicine". This is noted tastefully in my OIE essay.
I feel like my story is convincing and my stats, if you squint and consider the circumstances, are pretty good.

I’ve had quite the journey so far as a first time pregnant woman going full term (i had an abortion 11 years ago) and i’ve had all the best support from family and my partner. As someone considered “high risk” due to my history with seizures, I have managed to take really good care of myself both diet and mental health wise. I stopped smoking weed cold turkey, along with drinking and only take my medication as prescribed. Today, my partner and I went for our highly anticipated 20 week anatomy scan, and about 5 minutes in the tech asked if I had ever had a history with fibroids. I immediately answered “No” as she continued to show me a tiny fibroid in my cervix/uterus area. She kept reassuring me that there was nothing to worry about, “It is very small! absolutely normal for pregnant women due to hormonal changes.. don’t worry!” but as someone who overthinks about EVERYTHING, i’ve been going insane trying to 1. find out more information 2. understand how this was overlooked during all my other ultrasounds? I read that at this stage the size of it now is the biggest it would get, but is it possible she misdiagnosed? When the lab sent me my ultrasound results (a long overview of the session, detailing how healthy my baby is THANK GOD) it mentions nothing about the fibroid. My mom who was a birthing nurse for over a decade and a mother of 5 herself told me it’s nothing to worry about or stress about— that it is normal, but a part of me is still scared shitless. IS THIS NORMAL? do fibroids that appear during pregnancy go away after? grow more after? require surgery? has anyone gone through this or anything similar? i’m so scared and sad…it ruined the great news of my baby’s gender and all 🥺 i know my birth will be okay because of how adamant she was on the location and size not being an issue… but what about me? i want to be healthy too 😔

Hello, this is my first time posting here so bear with me if there's anything I miss that I should include in the post.
The crux of the issue is that when I am playing games on my laptop (specs listed below) I will randomly get BSOD's or the screen will go black and crash. I initially thought this had to do with my graphics card but updating the drivers and changing the profile of my card on my laptop did not fix anything. I have been attempting to troubleshoot this issue but I am not sure exactly how to go about doing that.
I have gotten 'UNEXCPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION' and 'WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" as the BSOD stop codes. There are files in the minidump folder and analyzing the most recent one through WinDbg shows the following finally highlighting 'AuthenticAMD' and 'AuthenticAMD.sys'.

Im not exactly sure what to do with this information. Furthermore ran BlueScreenView on my most recent .dmp file and it seems to highlight "storport.sys", "ntoskrnl.exe" and "PSHED.dll" as potential files in the stack that are related to the crash. I can provide dump files should there be a need for that. Any help would be appreciated, I've had the laptop for a year and only recently has it begun to have issues like this.
