I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service at the AT&T store located at 476 Fulton Street, Brooklyn. As a loyal customer of over 20 years, I am extremely dissatisfied with the treatment I received from your staff, particularly “manager” Daniel, the security guard, and another young man whose name I did not catch.
On June 4, 2024, I visited the store to exchange an iPhone 15 I had purchased three days prior due to service connectivity issues. I was advised to call customer care, but my calls kept dropping, even when dialing 611. The store representative allowed me to use the AT&T store landline, as my phone was nonfunctional even on Wi-Fi.
I spent an hour on the phone with an Asurion representative, who reset my phone’s network settings without resolving the issue. He suggested I go to the Apple Store, which I declined since I had purchased the phone from AT&T and was still within the 14-day “Buyer’s Remorse” period. Despite this, I was informed of a $55 restocking fee. Given that the issue was either with your network or the device, I found this unreasonable.
After being transferred to customer care and spending another hour and a half on the phone, a representative confirmed that the $55 restocking fee should be waived. However, when I attempted to execute the exchange, Daniel made me repeat the troubleshooting steps I had already completed. His tone was dismissive, and he seemed to doubt my issue despite witnessing dropped calls firsthand.
I requested an iPhone 14 with 256GB storage, which was shown as available on the AT&T website. Initially, Daniel claimed it was unavailable, only to later confirm it could be ordered after much inconvenience. He also claimed to be unaware of a promotional price, which he eventually acknowledged after I insisted.
Additionally, another employee intruded into a private conversation, accusing me of rudeness while he was attending to another customer. This was highly unprofessional.
After over two hours, Daniel finally processed my exchange but insisted I pay the $55 restocking fee upfront and seek a refund later, adding further inconvenience. Upon returning home, my phone still did not work, and my Apple Watch could not link to it.
I returned to the store and asked Daniel to reactivate my old iPhone 11. He initially refused, only conceding when I threatened to record our interaction. His behavior, along with that of the security guard who tried to intimidate me, was unacceptable. Furthermore, Daniel later acknowledged an AT&T outage, which he had failed to inform me about earlier.
I felt disrespected and marginalized throughout this experience, and the racial undertones in Daniel's remarks about my "attitude and tone" were particularly offensive. This treatment has led me to decide to switch to Spectrum after 20 years with AT&T.
I hope you address these issues promptly to prevent other customers from enduring similar experiences.

Are we absolutely crazy? We raised 9 children of our own. Longevity runs on both our sides. My mom is 91, husband’s parents are 94 and 89. My grandfather lived to be 99. We’ve been married 38 years which includes a daughter that is 41 yo with spina bifida that still lives with us, she works 5 hours a day walks with braces to her knees has had several surgeries defied doctors telling her she’d never walk again. She takes care of children between ages 3-5 yo. Our youngest is 21. She’s moved out has her own place. We feel we are still in good health both of us very active gardening, canning have chickens, goats and? Long story short we would like to continue giving back this isn’t a matter of oh my gosh! We need to adopt children in order to finish living out our lives as God has us ordained. It’s the knowledge that so many children are split up and we think it’s terrible. We are not egotistical which is why I’m asking opinions are we absolutely crazy to even consider a family group of sibs? It’s not necessary to adopt but doing so is okay. We are willing to foster too. Race is unimportant to us personally, if whatever agency we decide to go through if we go through foster home etc is unimportant to us. We’ve yet to apply my husband retired in January of 2025. We have a decent income own our house in country. We were foster parents in our younger years. We know the score many of the children in foster care have special needs. Not an issue. Been there done that. Point being are you ever too old to give back? My parents were 53 and 55 when they adopted my last 2 sibs from foster care. My husband and I agreed (we’re in our 30 something then) that if my parents didn’t live to raise them we were prepared to take them on at that point kids were 4 and 6. That’s the only reason their adoption worked out. I have no illusions I have no intention of getting our children involved to extent we were. We just feel we’d like to continue to give back fostering or adopting? Nothing is set in stone we are just thinking. We have lots of experience with kids? Maybe we should not even consider. To date we’ve only contacted one private agency and they’re willing for us to do their foster parent training and eager for us to become foster parents. As we were a few years back an approved foster home. We did a few kids including 16 yo that had a baby I went through delivery and birth with her. She gave her little girl up for adoption we were asked if we would adopt her 3 month old baby. We were a good deal younger and felt that someone who couldn’t have a child have first priority. However we were saddened because they placed her child with her 2 previous foster parents that already had 5 children of their own and these people adopted her. I wish we would have adopted her child because while she was still expecting this child this same previous foster mother asked this 16 yo child for money according to previous foster mother she was broke! I couldn’t believe it this 16 yo child giving birth to her child mind you only was working fast food for like 15 hours a week? I gave her money to give this previous foster mother informed her social worker about this event and when we declined to adopt her baby they went to this woman! Unbelievable! But it happened. On top of that girls biological mother died of breast cancer 2 weeks after she delivered her baby. I tried to get permission from social services to take her to see her mother before she passed she lived hour and half away from us same state social services said no. To this day I’m haunted by not just defying their order and have felt terrible she wasn’t able to see her mother before she passed away. Where is justice in life when you need it???

My parents were outside .. As they saw me waking up they came running to me and asked what happened .. I just told them a lie .. that was a theft .. As my parents were talking to the cops .. We’ve had new cat (1yr old F) for 3 weeks, and resident cat (9yr old M) for almost 9 years. M cat has never lived with another cat or animal before. We have done the home base, scent/room swapping, feeding behind closed door, feeding in view of each other. These things they will do comfortably. However as soon as new F cat gets too close to M cat, he hisses and growls. This then upsets her, and she lunges at him and they get into a scuffle. No fur flying, but both have received scratches to the face.
We’re trying to give them treats together, which they will happily take, and then M cat goes right back to growling. We try to play with them in the same room but M cat has never been much of a play cat to begin with, so this is hard. F cat also stalks him at times, but I honestly think she’s trying to initiate play.
We tried a baby gate to separate but F cat jumped it in 1 second. We rent so can’t install screens or otherwise. I feel like we are stuck between the “feeding where they can see each other” and “supervised access” because M cat just growls and F cat reacts and then it’s on.
What else should we do? I know it can take time. I’m just not sure if we need to go back a step, and if so how far. We have done this by keeping them completely separate again for a day or two after they get into a bigger scrap, but they go right back to the same behaviour when they see each other so this doesn’t seem to be helping. Any tips? We want to make this work but I just feel like we’re going in circles!

So I have two housemates I’m going to call A(21F) and B(23F). B I have lived with for 18 months now and have never really had any issues. A moved in about 2 months ago.
When A moved in B messaged me saying she doesn’t think I’m pulling my weight with the cleaning, we had a chat about it and I said, “ok what is there extra you want me to do”, on my week to clean she gave me a list of other jobs she wanted me to do which I was fine to do as I want to make sure I am doing what I need for the house.
For context, our house is immaculate tidy, I clean up after myself and even after this message I am extra cautious to do so. However, I feel I am also human and occasional I do forget my keys, or shoes in lounge room etc…
Fast forward a few more weeks, B pulls me aside about having my boyfriend over too much to stay. Fully receptive of this, understood now we have a new housemate that rules and circumstances change. Additionally she pulled me aside again and said I am lazy, not self-aware and disrespectful and I was in shock. I said what do you mean, she said the bathroom wasn’t cleaning properly on my week to clean bc I hadn’t wiped the shower screen, I had left a coffee cup in my room for a few days (which was mine btw too), and I didn’t say hi one morning. I was in shock and sad bc I hate that I have upset her but it put me off a bit. I did get upset with her and walked off which now looking back was not good on my part. Later i did apologise.
After this incident, neither housemate talked to me, I messaged my old housemate for advice and she suggested a house meeting. I wrote some notes and put forward with apologising and opening the floor for suggestions on how I can do better to do my part in the house. I basically was hounded that meeting. B said the same things she said before, I leave my bag on the kitchen bench (I only have done this on a few occasions when I get home from work late and am exhausted), leaving shoes in the lounge room, my room stunk (I was shocked about, maybe it was from my coffee cup but I light candles and always have my diffuser going of a night?). I explained I was in the process of being medicated for ADHD and that will hopefully help with my organisation. I was met with, I already work with children with ADHD and I don’t want to come home and deal with one. Which hurt a lot.
Fast forward again, I am in hospital with a blood clot in the lungs, I told them I am in hospital and I got a thumbs up and a reminder that rent was due. Coming out of hospital, I was ignored which was fine. Later I was back in hospital with persistent bleeding from the blood thinners, my friend had to pick me up bc A refused to help me who was at home at the time. I ran out into the kitchen to get towels and she could see I was bleeding and then started having a go at me for not saying hello to her.
I am out of hospital again and stay at my mums for the weekend to get better. Once I am home I lay low, do my housework when needed, clean up after myself and stay in my room for the most part. I have been getting my boyfriend to come during the day to drop off food and he sometimes stays for a little bit to keep me company.
Over the weekend, it was my turn to clean the house and it made me so stressed, I spent all weekend doing nothing bc of it knowing that they would pick something minor up. Sure enough today I get a messsage from B saying I didn’t clean the bathroom properly bc there was marks on the taps and I had done a mold treatment for the shower, but I hadn’t done it properly bc the shower wasn’t wet? She said I don’t respect them or their stuff, I left some crumbs on a blanket I had not even used. I was loud the other night so they couldn’t sleep bc I was being sick which now later find out I have covid. They said that my boyfriend needs to pay bills bc he’s over too much. I replied to that with that he hasn’t stayed over for more than two nights like we have talked about, however with being unwell I have needed some help and company during the day (pls tell me if this is wrong it just seems so trivial to me when he’s only in my room). I had mentioned in a previous post about this too where B previously got mad that he didn’t say hi first to her one monring. In this message today, B said my room still smelt, when out of hospital I asked my friend, mum and bf if it did and it doesn’t, which stresses me out even more bc the only instance of food and drink being in my room was the one time with the coffee cup. Again have continued with candles, diffuser and opening my windows. B said I leave water on the floor in the bathroom and have zero respect bc I don’t ask them how they are doing. Hypocritical bc I used to all the time but got the impression I wasn’t welcome in the house so stopped and started keeping to myself.
Am I crazy and the AH or is this next level, I feel so alone in my house right now.

Hey, we are a couple traveling from April to December and currently in Mui Ne Vietnam. Sadly our enthusiasm for this lovely country is gone because my girlfriend got a broken foot (approximately 2 months of walking with crutches) after a motorbike accident (a guy ran in our side) 5 days ago in Cambodia and she is now suffering from pain. We planned to go north but are thinking about quitting and going back home because visiting most places depends on walking which is very limited and the pain dampens enjoyable moments. I thought of getting boat or taxi tours or renting a motorbike for travel to explore from the bike (maybe while luggage is being transferred seperately). We are happy for any tips, or recommendations <3

I have a 6 week old (exclusively formula fed) baby. I am generally a lighter sleeper than my husband and baby's basinet is on my side of the bed, so I get up with him in the night. Lately, his schedule looks something like this:
Falls asleep at 9PM. Sleeps until some time between 1 and 2 AM for diaper change and feed. Repeat some time between 4 and 6 AM. Stirs between 7 and 8 AM, at which point my husband takes over and I sleep in a bit.
Honestly, I could imagine a scenario where I wouldn't even need to sleep in much; if I copied baby's schedule, or even just went to bed an hour or two after him and otherwise matched him, I'd get about 6-7 hours, possibly more.
The problem is that I am having issues falling asleep, both initially and after feedings. I have to pop 10mg of melatonin around 8:30-9:00 PM just to initially fall asleep before midnight, and then baby takes at least 15 minutes to feed each time, so even if I'm struggling to keep my eyes open at first, I'm wide awake and mentally wired by the time he goes back down, so I basically don't sleep between those two wakings, and it takes me forever to fall asleep again after the second one. So my schedule look something like this on a regular basis:
Sleep from 11 PM to 1 AM (2 hours) Awake from 1AM to 5AM Sleep from 5AM to 7:30 hours (2.5 hours) Maaaybe sleep from 8:30 to 10:30 AM (sometimes that doesn't happen though since I'm wired and can hear the baby crying from downstairs and stuff, so 2 more hours if I'm lucky and then my day ends up starting super late).
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else can relate to this? Or figure out how to not be so wired up after feeds? I'm particularly worried about what this will be like when my husband goes back to work in about a week and a half and won't be able to do that morning shift for me... just, ugh. Sleeping when the baby sleeps is a more than reasonable option here but I just can't do it 😭😭😭

Although Emperor of the Qing had suspected Chen Ping Ping for a long time, in fact, he still did not want to kill this long-time close servant, so he only stripped Chen Ping Ping of his power by appointing Fan Xian as the director, Yan Bing Yun as the deputy of the Overwatch Council. Since then, Chen Ping Ping has also been very willing to play the role of a harmless old man in a wheelchair.
At this time, Sigu Sword was about to die, the neutral position of Dong Yi city was about to be gone, they could only accept to become a part of Nan Qing or Northern Qi. Both of these big countries sent people to Dong Yi to compete for ownership of the city. The envoy of Nan Qing is Fan Xian and Northern Qi is the little emperor himself to negotiate.
Before his death, Sigu Sword believed that with Fan Xian’s ability, he would soon discover that Emperor of the Qing was involved in the death of Ye Qing Mei. He instructed all his disciples to help Fan Xian and then died.
Dong Yi city surrendered to Nan Qing but in fact belonged to Fan Xian. Fan Xian then handed over Dong Yi to the eldest prince, who originally had half of the bloodline as a Dong Yi person. The eldest prince stationed troops in Dong Yi, in his heart he really admired Fan Xian.
While Fan Xian was in Dong Yi, Emperor of the Qing summoned Chen Ping Ping into the palace to inquire about his role in the incident at Da Dong Mountain. Knowing the matter, Wang Qi Nian used his light work to rush to Dong Yi to find Fan Xian for help.
Chen Ping Ping was not afraid, directly confronted Emperor of the Qing and questioned him about the death of Ye Qing Mei.
Emperor of the Qing wanted to kill Chen Ping Ping but did not expect that there were two machine guns in Chen Ping Ping’s wheelchair equipped by Ye Qing Mei herself. Emperor of the Qing was shot and seriously injured but after all, he was a Great Grandmaster, not easy to die like that.
After that, Chen Ping Ping was sentenced to death. Fan Xian returned just in time to hear Chen Ping Ping’s last words. He asked Fan Xian what Ye Qing Mei had left in her box. When Fan Xian said it was a gun, he laughed and said, “A gun? I have that too!” and then breathed his last.
Emperor of the Qing summoned Fan Ruo Ruo, who had studied medicine in Northern Qi, into the palace to treat the gunshot wound.
Emperor of the Qing witnessed Fan Xian crying in sorrow next to Chen Ping Ping’s body, he did not appreciate Fan Xian’s feelings for the old eunuch. Although Emperor of the Qing hoped that Chen Ping Ping’s death would not ruin the relationship between the two fathers and sons, he had to reconsider in front of this scene.
Fan Xian blamed Yan Bing Yun for not trying to protect Chen Ping Ping, but in fact, Chen Ping Ping himself had ordered Yan Bing Yun not to intervene.
The death of Chen Ping Ping made Fan Xian wake up. For a long time, he always avoided direct confrontation with Emperor of the Qing even though he still suspected that he had killed his mother. Emperor of the Qing is now very wary of Fan Xian and he has no way to defeat this powerful emperor.
Emperor of the Qing wanted Fan Ruo Ruo to marry He Zong Wei, a lowly and shameless official, but luckily, the prince Li Hong Cheng had returned to the capital. Every day, the crown prince held a sword in front of the Royal Medical Institute to prevent He Zong Wei from approaching Ruo Ruo.
To limit the influence of Fan Xian, Emperor of the Qing arranged for He Zong Wei to work under him. When Fan Xian knew that this man had bad intentions towards his sister, he quickly gave him a dose of poison.
Fan Xian knew that no matter how hard he tried, he was completely at a disadvantage to Emperor of the Qing in the political game, the longer the confrontation, the more his relatives and friends were implicated. Therefore, Fan Xian himself took a sword into the palace and confronted Emperor of the Qing.
At this time, Fan Xian had practiced martial arts from the books of Ba Dao Zhen Qi , Tian Yi Dao, Sigu Sword, and Liú Yún Sàn Shǒu, along with training with Wu Zhu. Accompanying him were the strongest Level 9 masters at that time such as Duo Duo, Wang Shi San Lang, etc…
Even so, when facing Emperor of the Qing, they had no chance at all. Fan Xian’s group quickly lost and had to flee the palace.
On the run, they were pursued by the Ye Family, many masters of Dong Yi city had to sacrifice to protect Fan Xian’s life. They were only lucky to escape thanks to the help of Yan Bing Yun and the Overwatch Council.
Fan Xian and his comrades who were seriously injured ran to Northern Qi. Emperor of the Qing was injured by a gunshot and had not yet healed, temporarily unable to implement the plan to annex the world.
Fan Xian decided to go to the Divine Temple to find Wu Zhu. Wu Zhu had previously wanted to return to the Divine Temple to retrieve his old memories.
Ye LiuYun and Fei Jie decided to sail out to sea, leaving Nan Qing, avoiding disputes. Fan Xian saw them off and then set off to find the Divine Temple.
Ku He died, the world now only has two Great Grandmasters, Emperor of the Qing and Wu Zhu.
Fan Xian, Duo Duo, and Wang Shi San Lang went north, after many days they finally saw the Divine Temple.
The three of them easily entered the Divine Temple without being prevented. Through the projection in the Divine Temple, they learned the story of the destruction and rebirth of the world.
They found some robots like Wu Zhu, but they were all out of energy. After many years of turmoil, perhaps the Divine Temple is about to collapse.
The three found Wu Zhu but he was manipulated by the Divine Temple. The Divine Temple believed that Fan Xian was like Ye Qing Mei, those who carry the “heavenly mandate” will promote the development of humanity and eventually cause extinction. The Divine Temple ordered Wu Zhu to kill Fan Xian.
The three were not opponents of Wu Zhu at all. While Wu Zhu was about to kill Fan Xian, Duo Duo and Wang Shi San Lang smashed the machinery in the Divine Temple, finally successfully destroying the artificial intelligence.
Wu Zhu woke up from control but didn’t remember anything. He only had faith in Fan Xian for no reason. The Divine Temple collapsed, Wu Zhu carried the seriously injured Fan Xian and the other two ran out. The four then returned to Nan Qing together.
While Fan Xian was recovering from his injuries, Wu Zhu gradually remembered the story of Ye Qing Mei. He decided to go into the palace alone to kill Emperor of the Qing.
Wu Zhu alone slaughtered all of Emperor of the Qing’s forbidden army, but by the time he faced him, Wu Zhu had lost a leg and no longer had an iron rod in his hand.
Emperor of the Qing looked at Wu Zhu’s wound and realized that his blood was gold.
However, the essence of Ba Dao Zhen Qi of Emperor of the Qing is the accumulation of true energy, so he is currently deficient. At this time, the two strongest people are both in a state of exhaustion and cannot finish each other with one blow.
Fan Ruo Ruo wanted to take the opportunity to use the machine gun that Wu Zhu had given her a long time ago to assassinate Emperor of the Qing, unfortunately, he had always been wary of her for a long time, so he quickly rushed to bend the gun.
Fan Xian and his comrades came to rescue but could not change anything.
Emperor of the Qing at this time thought that nothing could threaten him anymore, so he decided to explore the biggest mystery he had been curious about for a long time: what is behind Wu Zhu’s eye patch? He approached Wu Zhu and removed the black cloth on his face.
Behind Wu Zhu’s cloth, the eyes equipped with destructive laser technology, Emperor of the Qing was immediately destroyed.
Fan Xian and his family moved to Hangzhou to live. After the death of the four Great Grandmasters, Fan Xian gradually also became a Great Grandmaster, the leader of the first Level 9 masters in the world.
The new emperor of Nan Qing is the third prince, a good brother of Fan Xian.
Wang Shi San Lang became the new city lord of Dong Yi, a good brother of Fan Xian.
The emperor of Northern Qi loves Fan Xian.
Wu Zhu went to Da Dong Mountain to heal his wounds with the radioactive environment here, promising to return to Fan Xian soon.
Fan Ruo Ruo traveled around the world to practice medicine, Li Hong Cheng always followed her without leaving.

In our first session we met up with other people. The only friend that I have was wizard. So here is the list of other pc:
Shiela (Elf, Wizard [Order of Scribes]) LN: - Follower of Mystra and try to investigate the forgotten spells og Netherill.
Me: Alexander (Aasimar, Cleric [Life Domain]) LG: - Follower of Lathander, I was a Deva that became mortal to prove evil can be redeemed.
Cesar (Haregeon, Rogue [Arcane Trickster]) TN: -A father on a quest to avenge his wife from being killed by Vecna but still has to support her daughter's education. Godless.
Zagerall (Half-Orc Barbarian [Path of Zealot]) CN: Suicidal. server of Talos
Sylstra (Yuan-Ti Bard [College of Eloquence]) NE: -She is basically the spawn if Meg and Jessica Rabbit and go in her villain arc. face of the party. Server of Graz'zt.
Leonidas (Black Dragonborn Paladin [Oath of Glory]): - One who is kind of a jerk but he can get the job done. Paladin of Cyric.
Here's what happened:
In our session starts with us in the road heading towards the hideout of our benefactor it was displayed that we are in a caravan and the six of us is heading on the way my character is busy organizing each berry he picked up in the forest while the Shiela is studying her magics, and Cesar, Zagerall, and Leonidas is polishing their weapons and Sylstra is taking a nap, here our benefactor explain what happened to the people before us and how close they are in killing Vecna. So to test our skills we are hired to kill the heretic bishop where from being a follower of Chauntea decided to became one of the cleric necromancers and serve Vecna.
It was at least a day trip here we roleplay on who we are without exposing too much secrets to each other. Here I do became friends with our rogue but the Bard and Paladin hate my guts (Since I am a follow Lathander). The Bard thinks of me as a mere prey that she can easily manipulate. I think. While the paladin treats me like I am a dirt that should be cleanse. here before I go to sleep I cast Augry to pray to my god Lathander and ask how he feels about our current mission. The DM looks to me think for a moment and says I can feel the heat radiating even the night is cold as the winter where in a point that the grass around starts to burn. Lathander is mad then he then shows me what type of bishop the heretic was and give me a woe omen that when the priest starts to chant it shows images of how horrible our fate was as we are being consumes in red blood and crucified in the symbol of Vecna. Shiela and Cesar immediately catches me before I fall and the rogue pour a water skin all over me and ask Shiela to help him get rid of my armor since the steam is becoming hotter as the time passes by and get me to the nearest lake. As I cool down I tell them what i see, Shiela believe in me but Cesar thinks it may or may not be true but it was nice that I tell him that information.
We try to get the rest to wake up but both Sylstra and Leo was out sleeping then as we go to Zagerall's tent here the DM makes him roll a wisdom saving throw as he rolled a total of 9 the DM says that Zagerall's body start to twitch and Cesar joked that Zagerall must be having a wet dream. When he twitches again so I say that I try to have my blanket cover Zag's body cause he might be cold. And with a snap The DM says to me to make a dexterity saving throw and the player of Shiela and Cesar groan as they remember that I have a dexterity score of 4. I rolled a natural 1 so my first PvP happened and the DM ask me to roll initiative. I got a total of 6 while Zag has 13 so surprise attack was an immediate rage and he rolled natural freaking 20 and it was the was worst the DM says that he will add the Savage attack with the divine fury. as Zag then bit me on my arm i loose but thankfully I am an aasimar and I am resistant to necrotic shit, a chunk of hit points was taken from me, The DM ask him to roll a grapple check. I loose the contested check since he is basically raging and had an advantage. So when it is was my turn I cast Enhance Ability on myself and barely manage to get out of the grapple. Then DM now ask me to make another Athletics check I rolled a natural 20 and here I throw him outside of the tent and as his head landed first into the ground the DM make him roll another wisdom saving throw as soon he rolls a 16. He wake up Cesar then wasted no time and tie Zag up. I heal myself for a bit and Shiela demanded to know what just happened. Here Zag tell us his backstory on why he wanted to die since he himself became a weapon of Talos since his clan did suffer from being though as the monster in every place they walk in. Then in his words describe that his clan has to be tough in order to live only the strong will thrive while the weak is serve as a dinner to all apparently cannibalism in dnd is a thing and as he pray to end the famine of his clan his first victim was his whole clan he still remember all the things he had done even the cries of the children he had to kill to appease Talos. Shiela and Cesar rolled an insight to see if his speaking the truth and after some check the DM confirm he is telling the truth. I then go near to him and began to untie him Cesar was about to yell at me and I look at him directly in the eyes. "Even he committed those crimes I don't think he wants to do it again. Also as far I know he carry our bags no questions ask when we are in the caravan his kind. He didn't have to but he did. He can just let us have our own campfire but he make it for us anyway. He may have a deity that wants to to go like a maniac but his not alone now he has us. And we can aid him to be in control." Cesar just sighs at me and say "This is gonna bite us in the ass. And if that happened I got dibs on saying I told you so" Shiela on the other hand just looks at me. "Are you sure about him tagging with us he may end one of us?" then Zag then agrees that he will be tied up next to us and to do not resist any spells that Shiela will use on him for safety.
As we take our long rest. I want to talk to Sylystra and Leo but they just walk away and when we get to the church Leo and Sylsytra then kidnapped some followers and have us extra disguises. As we get inside the chruch we then see the chapel has some people in it Sylsytra then became our negotiator with her being devious the plan was to get the bishop hand as the staff so we can do the ritual itself but as soon we got it we will bolt and run. Cesar cast Silent Image to have another figure of him and Shiela cast Invisibility on Cesar to make him stealth around the room. After a few banters Sylstra then failed by rolling a natural 1 in performance. And here Leonidas pushes me on the back to the door of the church and orders me to cast an immediate Bless on them. Then here the DM says as soon Leo does that he then start to say his sermon and all other cultist ready their weapons with 8 knights to 6 we are fucked and here Shiela ask if all of the knight can cast spells. The DM makes her roll an arcana she succeeds and the DM nods and with bullet of time we rolled for initiative. I rolled a nat 20 so that means I get to go first and as the priest continue his sermon as he was chanting the recollection of Augry just hits me and my mind starts to have these images and here I cast Silence center of the room where I can envelop all the knight and the priest. I can see that the DM, PC of Shiela, Cesar and even Sylstra had their eyes wide open. With this Cesar smiles and as he stealth with advantage he just slit the priest's throat and rolled a nat 20 so he can add his sneak attack and the DM says to Cesar he doesn't have to roll and he can just explain how he killed the priest. Shiela then cast Flaming Sphere and with in tag with Sylytra who runs and cast Heat Metal to the other knight. Leonidas, Cesar, and Zag do the up close combat. My character is having an existential crisis as he sees he may have stop the visions he had but the bath blood is high up in the church no less. So before anyone else see I immediate cast Thaumaturgy and have all the doors and windows closed and cast an immediate Spiritual Weapon which is a disc in a sun design and the ray of the sun are spinning and I say I want to help Cesar since one of the knights pin him on the wall. The DM ask me to make an attack roll, I rolled a total of 22. and as soon it hits the DM describes the arms being cut off with immense speed and Cesar is free from grapple which make it's turn and use steady aim and kill the knight in front of him.
Our DM is also rolling natural 20 in their box. I then stuck to healing after that when one of the up close fighter is knock down they will disengage and I will heal them with some spell in my arsenal I also have to keep tabs on the last knight since it just took Cesar and Zag now up close to Shiela and Sylstra. Our Paladin is isn't using his spells or even Lay on hands and just straight up walk to the large knight his attack barely hits and as soon the knights helmet was destroyed revealing an undead orc. Shiela and Sylstra uses their action to immediately disengage and run towards me. The paladin is on 2 hit points and now trap with the flaming sphere and the huge orc in front of him. So when it was my turn I use my channel divinity and give Cesar, Sylstra whose in 3 hit points left, and Zag to have at least have 5 hit points and I immediately run 30 feet towards it trying to get the orc's attention to give our paladin a chance to escape since I am still have half of my hit points. As soon Zag wakes up the DM made him roll a history check with advantage. As soon he succeeds the DM tells him that this is his brother who had a traits on being this huge of an orc still think to himself as a child whom he killed is now stitched up as a puppet for the necromancer's to control even the parts of him was not his anymore. The PC of Zag look at me and then say in character drop his rage and uses his action to make a persuasion check on me the to the rest of the people in the table "Please don't let him run again his not a monster, he doesn't even want to chase anyone away" but he rolled a 13. I sigh and gripped on my d20 die the paladin then makes another attack it was a natural 20 the PC had a slight smile on his face as he was about to use his last spell slot for a divine smite to deliver the final blow. Then Shiela then cast her last level slot to Silvery Barbs to made that attack with disadvantage and have Cesar an advantage to his next roll. So Ceasar get up use bunny hop then rolled and beat Leo's athletics check. Sylstra then just sighs and cast bane on both Leo and the orc. Shiela dropped her flaming sphere and make an investigation check and with mage hand all of the knights here are all undead orc, human, and half-orc. It was my turn I then sigh I should vanquish this undead being since it was I was trained to do. then with I then cast command and I look up to the orc whose been eating other undead to gain hit points. I spoke my words and I cast command I grab it's cold face Be "Sated" the DM smiles on their face they were about to roll a die for the orc's wisdom saving throw. I think then they just sits down in their sit and ask me. What does the orc and Zag sees as the undead Orc stops and kneel? I say that the new dawn rises and finally Zag's brother and other victims inside the church is now smiling upon Zag hoping he'll leave for them and for the future they might've been.
Then the DM describe a beautiful picture for the PC of Zag to imagine and here the orc with a cold smile on his face falls into the ground and the new dawn rises. The PC of Shiela then starts to clap slowly but the PC of Leonidas is mad where he describes that Leonidas will put his longsword in his back wipe the blood on his shield and walks out first in the church. The DM ask if we have any thing we want to do before they end the session I say I will try to make a proper funeral for Zag's brother who now name "Dud", Zag then carries the body Shiela and Ceasar helped me to dig on the ground near into a forest fields with lake in the side. Slystra then also walks out of the church and heads back to our caravan but doesn't talk to Leo. I used my last spell slot for a Ceremony and do a Funeral Rite we walk into the near inn and do our stuff. And here our session one ends. I try to talk to Leonidas' player but he just ignores me but stop and say to me and remember to not steal his kill next time. And I was pondering if I make a bad decision the Player of Shiela approaches me and tell me to just shrug it off if he wants to blame someone it should be her not me. Am I wrong to role play that way?

Context: 24 F , recent graduate. Joined a company after graduating, moved out of my hometown to pursue the job, made friends there, etc. but after around half an year everything came crashing down. The workplace was very toxic with the workforce working 10+ hours a day for 6 days a week (Narayana Murthy wya), for a meagre 30k pm. Plus the place where I lived at wasn’t really welcoming either.
Tried to endure it. Met someone in the city who seemed interested in me too and I felt like things were getting back on track, but suddenly the workplace toxicity combined with everything made me leave the place, outright resignation. Thinking that I would get something better, I came back home (I am from a premier college for my field so the confidence or rather the bubble of confidence was very strong ). To add insult to injury, the person I met started ghosting me slowly, the conversations turned into them just painstakingly replying to my messages. This made me want to talk to them more, as if I was trying to prove that I was worthy enough to not be abandoned like that.
Still fast forward to this month, I still have’nt found anything worthwhile for my career, and in total its been 1 and a half years since I’ve graduated and approx 9 months since I left my last job.
I feel really scared for my future, I’ve been e-mailing places but no one’s getting back to me. Everyone requires experience but how will I get that if no one is hiring me!!! Plus the person I used to talk to has completely forgotten about me and it’s just really heartbreaking. I am stuck at my hometown with no possible prospects in sight. I feel like everything I thought of achieving by now has passed me by and I would never get that window again! A stable job, first love etc. navigating through your 20s is already stressful and it is even more anxiety inducing if you dont have any stability in any aspect of your life. I haven’t had fundamental experiences in my life ( I was very closed off and conservative in college and school) , I’ve always been close to home and now the fear of missing out on life is taking a toll on me . I can’t sleep at night and most of the mornings I wake up in cold sweat.
I keep thinking about what went wrong and how could someone just ghost me out of no where. I really don’t know what to do and I’m really scared.

Hey everyone, it's my first time here. I suspect it'll be a long post but I hope you can put up with it because I really need advice. :)
I'm a 23M from Italy, and I met my girlfriend (25) who is Dutch through a discord server. We loved talking to each other from the get go and just wanted to talk more and more. In the beginning she was the one to initiate contact with me. Anyhow, after a month or two I found out she had a boyfriend of 4 years (mind you, we weren't talking romantically at that point, but it was obvious that we were both interested in each other). That kind of shattered me and I was ready to leave her be because I knew I had strong feelings for her but wanted to respect her relationship, yet at that point we were already so close with each other. She felt the same way about me and still wanted to talk to me (which she told me later) even though I was ready to just see her as a friend and move on.
Apparently however her relationship had been stale for several months, her boyfriend treated her like shit (which she didn't even seem to mind lol), barely showed any care towards her, and they had different interests some of which were a deal-breaker for her (she likes to travel and he didn't), so in the end she broke up with him.
From what she told me, she only ever had toxic relationships (3 of them to my knowledge). On my side, I've never been in a real relationship; only 2 short LDRs which ended terribly with either being lied to or dropped out of the blue.
We're extremely compatible in terms of interests, the way we think and everything else. We decided to be together shortly after her breakup, which I didn't feel great about, but at the same time we had such a strong connection that I wanted it. I showed her nothing but love and support, I've always been there for her, I love her with all my heart and I made her my priority. We've always been telling each other the same things overall, about how we love each other, how we want to spend our lives with each other and share everything, how we're each other's priority and so on. Though to be honest I'm the one always showing affection more, and sometimes it feels like I have to pull it out of her.
In fact, a month after she randomly got cold and distant, was showing 0 affection, and everything just felt one-sided. This went on for a few days and I tried to discuss it with her multiple times. The bottom of it is that she was thinking about her ex, and 'sometimes missed him'. In my mind it was understandable since her breakup was still recent, but she never talked about it nor ever gave me the impression that she felt too bad about her breakup, so it came as a bit of a shock in the moment. I asked her if I was just a rebound to fill an emotional void, and she basically broke up with me saying she still had to process it.
Next day she apologized profusely, said she missed me and loves me and so on, so we continued things. I glossed over it because I love her so much as well, but it's still something worth noting.
I also need to point out that she's from a very well off family, and she pretty much already traveled the world and had so many experiences, whereas I come from a very poor family and I've been able to do close to nothing my whole life other than sitting in my room (which is painful to acknowledge, but it is what it is).
She's planning a 1 month long trip in South Korea in September, which to me feels like an extraordinarily long time. She'll be staying in various hostels, where she also hopes to find groups to travel with and so on.
I'm about to join the navy (yay I managed to do something in life lol) after passing all the tests, getting an English certificate and a firearms license. The plan was for us to meet each other after my training (8 weeks), so I'd hopefully manage to request a week off work and spend my first paycheck on a trip to the Netherlands.
The thing is that during these months I'd been wondering why she wouldn't come to see me first, since she certainly could afford it. She'd say she was busy with university but I knew for a fact that she had the time. I tried not to pay it too much attention, but eventually it started to bother me, so we had a talk. During that talk I also pointed out how she booked her trip to South Korea without considering me at all, she even moved the ticket to another date later (which she could only do once, and she never told me), I told her that it would've been nice to at least talk about the option of me coming with her, even if it maybe meant going 2 weeks instead of 1 month, and how she had the means but not the will to see me, and in her place I knew the lengths I'd go to to see her and what I'd do to be with her. In a way I almost always felt like I loved her more than she loved me.
Following that discussion, she decided she'd come to see me for 4 days (which she later cut down to 3), and after a couple days of planning the trip and being excited, she told me that the plane would leave early in the morning, and the plane on the way back would have 1 transfer and she'd arrive late at night, so basically "it's a shame" and she "got me excited only for her plan to fail".
I was obviously distraught over it, especially seeing that last year she spent 36 hours traveling to Japan, and this year she'll spend over 20 hours traveling to South Korea to stay there for a month, but a few hours to see me were apparently too much. After some time, seeing my reaction, she changed her mind and decided that she was willing to do it because it was "worth it" to her, so I'll be seeing her in a couple days.
The conclusion is that I feel bad about the whole situation. The only times we'd ever talked about long-term plans for us being together, it was always me trying to discuss it, and the discussions always ended with her saying "I guess you could this" and "I guess you could that", even suggesting things that wouldn't lead to us being together, like me working in another country.
It makes me sad that it feels like the need to be together and plan a future together seems almost one-sided, with her being completely fine being on her own, living her own separate life and having her own experiences far away from me, without even considering me as part of them. The fact that she'll be traveling for a whole month by herself and seems completely unbothered by our distance makes me feel bad. And I guess there's a little bit of jealousy on my part too because I know she'll be meeting many different people, spending time with them and living her own life.
I almost feel like I'm just some kind of distant presence in her life, which she enjoys keeping around for the emotional companionship and validation, but she has no real, strong desire to be with like I do. And I'm afraid that she's leading me on and has no actual intention of spending our lives together like she says. I'm afraid that she'll be meeting someone new, lose interest and drop me eventually (which happened in my previous LDRs), and I'm afraid that while she's already had plenty of relationships, I'm investing what remains of my "best years" into something that is maybe one-sided, stuck in a situation where I can only see her once every few months for years, and which might lead me to a whole load of pain if it turns out I'm right.
I'll try my best to enjoy my 3 days with her and try not to think about it. But to be honest, I'm so incredibly stressed with having to go to training, and this is an additional stress that keeps my mind busy. I know that if anything happens I wouldn't be able to handle the pain during my 8 weeks of training, and it would ruin me, because the last time she 'broke up' with me I went into a very deep spiral of depression and couldn't do anything. So now I'm afraid of that too, and I guess ending up alone forever...
I need someone else's perspective on this and I'll gladly take any advice I can get. Thank you so much. :)

I finished playing The Talos Principle tonight and wanted to write a proper review/just yap about how much I loved this game :)
Positives
Puzzles: At it's core this game would be nothing if the puzzles were not fun, but I thouroughly enjoyed all the puzzles. I can' t think of a single one I didn't like because it was too gimmicky or where I needed to look up a guide. I got stuck on a few but always felt like they were just one key breakthrough away from being solved. The layouts of puzzles were always clear; you can often see the sigil and can see "ok I need a blue laser to get the sigil..." then backtrack until you get a solid foothold on the puzzle. It felt so good when you finally reached the "aha" moment where you figure out how to get a laser through a window or get a jammer to the otherside of a gate or whatever.
I absolutely loved the recording/playback mechanic! There were so many cool and creative puzzles that used it and it's no wonder most of my favorite puzzles were from the faith world.
In no particular order my favorite puzzles were:
A7 - Windows into a labryinth
C2 - Rapunzul
C4 - Oubliette
C6 - 7 Doors of recording
C6 - Circumlocution
C7 - Crisscross conundrum advanced
Easter eggs: I spent a LOT of time just running around looking for easter eggs and found quite a few. I loved the feeling that there was always something that you were very close to discovering, even if you weren't quite sure what exactly you'd find. I would usually not bother with actively looking for easter eggs, but it definitely helps that the...
Music/Graphics: ...are so good too. The levels themselves, the various objects lying around, the skybox, are all downright gorgeous, and when combined with the incredible and thoughtful music it makes it really complelling to just explore. Even if you don't find an easter egg you don't really care because just exploring the world is so fun anyway.
The messenger music "Heavenly Clouds" is by far my favorite, I was blown away the first time I heard it
Stars: Some stars were very fun and satisfying to get, like the C3 star. Figuring out how to combine elements from different levels was really fun and felt really rewarding. I kept a notepad open while I played to keep track of where they were and what they needed.
Time Capsules: I absolutely loved the time capsules, the voice actor of Alexandra did amazing. I love how later in the game, despite the beautiful music and scenery you're in, you can tell there is something very bad happening to Alex and the rest of humanity.
Negatives
Also Stars: I collected 18 of the 30 total stars before looking up the rest. A lot of the ones I missed felt really gimmicky (The C6 star in "7 Doors of recording" where you just use the pathway that opens after you collect the sigil. I probably spent 30 min trying to go through all the barriers before realising "wait I can just go around here." Or in C4 "Oubliette, spent over an hour there before looking up a guide and it was just "the red laser reciever is a red herring, you can just jump over this barrier lol") Or some that I would just never get in a million years like the pillars in A3 or the Sphinx in B4 or the C Messenger star where you have to walk over the invisible bridge to the floating island. Idk maybe just a skill issue and it's not a huge deal since technically you can get 2 of the 3 endings with 0 stars, but it kind of bothers me how cheap some of them felt.
Endings: Personally the endings felt really anticlimactic. I would've loved to see what exactly happened to Alex and her team (I guess it's hinted at a few times) The tower ending is weird cause you just wake up and look out of a dam or something. Maybe that's the setting of the next game..
I think the Floor 6 ending was really lame; the most difficult ending to get and it's just going into a grungy room in the basement with a few props. "congrats on 100%ing the game, now get in this coffin"
Overall, would probably give it like a 9.3/10 or something, fantastic game; it's all I've thought about the past week and a half lol, and my complaints are fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. Will probably tryout the DLC in a few days; I read that it's much harder than the base game which should be fun!

because of that title i should probably go ahead and say right off the rip I'M NOT AN INCEL NOR AM I A MISOGYNIST. THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE WITH DATING AS A YOUNG ADULT MAN. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT.
i'm going to try to keep this relatively focused and compact because it's late. i'm exhausted. drained. angry. sad. all the things you can think of that come with being heartbroken or whatever.
basically, my ex and i of 3 and a half years broke up last may. things were very rough towards the end of the relationship, but we ended amicably. we kept in touch. she pet sit for me, we occasionally did favors for each other, etc. one day she blocks me out of the blue on all social media. fine, i guess that's how she's coping. i didn't say or do anything.
a few months later i decide to try my luck with dating apps. little did i know this is where probably the worst of the worst people go to reside for validation and such. it is so far askew from the actual dating world that it's insane. it hardly breeds genuine connections. it's a miracle my sister met her husband on a dating app. i get a few matches, get ghosted a few times, whatever that's okay, shit happens.
i meet this one girl and we really hit it off. similar sense of humor, we're in a similar field of work, the 9 yards. things go great. we go on multiple dates, become intimate a few times, and because she's going back off to college about an hour away, she says she cannot continue with me, and that she needs to focus on herself. tells me im an "incredible person with an extremely kind heart." i understand to an extent. she needs to focus on herself, and putting yourself first is always the most important thing you can do. i'm sad obviously because i did like her, but i move on.
i meet ANOTHER girl. similar interests, whatever. we hit it off again, go on some dates, talk all the time, and then after a few months she tells me needs to tell me something. i tell her shoot. she says she can't talk to me anymore because "someone else came into the picture." i ask her why? why would she even go and talk to someone else if she was at the moment, currently romantically involved with another person? she tells me she's sorry, i block her, move on. whatever.
this cycle has repeated at least 3 or 4 times now. multiple women telling me they're not ready for a relationship, then two weeks later i see they have a boyfriend. truthfully, they all lied to me and simply did not want a relationship with ME.
i've been to my therapist with this a few times. she tells me there's nothing I'M seemingly doing wrong, i basically just seem to be getting unlucky. i know this is going to sound pretentious and wrong coming from my perspective, but i KNOW i'm a good person. i try to foster environments for all my romantic partners that breed comfort, a sense of care, and a sense of belonging. (the bare minimum, i know, hooray for me. /s)
the reason i'm saying this is because i have had a thing with this girl for the last 5 months. she was extremely touch and go about our relationship. red flags from the start. when we first start talking, she says she's not into hookup culture, which is GOOD because i'm not either. then, on our first date, we slept together. later she tells me we need to slow down and that she was sorry we slept together because she "can't control herself." i obviously should have had better judgment about sleeping together on the first date, but i was thinking with my other head, so to speak. i made the wrong choice and ended up regretting it. anyway, i tell her i'm okay with slowing down and going back to where we started. we work on forging a friendship first, above all else, then things got better. we starting hanging out way more frequently, going on dates, things like that. we were unofficial, but still basically a couple.
then a few months ago she starts being really flakey. stops answering my texts, tells me she cant hang out, is being really secretive about where she's going. you know. i ask her what's going on and she gives me the exact same bullshit i've heard half a dozen times now.
"i need to focus on myself/ i'm not ready for a relationship" bla bla bla. all bullshit. i see today that after telling me that two weeks ago, she has a boyfriend.
i know i shouldn't have done this, but i texted her and told her: "you're unreal." and blocked her on everything. i saw her starting to type a text before i blocked her, but i didn't want to hear whatever bullshit excuse she had to give me.
i'm over it. i'm over how i've been treated. lied to, and used by so many people. i cannot take it anymore. i keep telling myself i need to step away from all of this and learn to love myself. i'm working on it with my therapist (bless her soul.) but i WANT a partner. i WANT to be in a relationship with someone. i just dont think it's good for me right now. i can't handle all the baggage people come in with, because it feels like i'm ready but nobody else is, so i guess i can't be ready to get into a relationship right now.
this ended up being significantly longer than i intended but i've been slamming my ahead against a wall (figuratively) over this.
tl;dr: women i've dated over the last year or so have all screwed me over emotionally and i'm sick of it.

So, my relationship lasted 9 months, but ended two years ago. I was mentally depressed and drained, and my ex was truly wanted me to get better. He tried to, but i didn’t want to change at the time since i didn’t know how to change. I didn’t even know my self ( identity. When we were breaking up, he didn’t want to end it. he actually wanted to continue but wanted to focus on himself. I knew in my heart i had to fix myself as well. My dumbass asked him after “ Do you think we’ll get back together” and he said “ I don’t think so…” which broke my heart, but i was confused. 3 mins ago, he said he was happy with me and etc, but now he doesn’t see me? ok.
now, he was very contradicting with us in the future. I’m mad at myself because no one knows anything about the future. I don’t either, so it wasn’t fair to ask him. I kept pushing him and he got cold with me and i initiated, no contact after. i made sure to send him my last message saying i’ll move on.
Throughout my journey ( two years) i’ve learned to be more selfish and understanding. I’m ashamed on how i handled the situation. I don’t like how i responded; didn’t understand him. it wasn’t fair. Throughout the first year, i transferred to his school and we made direct eye contact all the time, but a year later, we haven’t. He probably moved on with someone else which I’m happy, but part of me is upset because of the hopes, but I’m glad i got the closure.
I do not hate him. i have so much love and care, but whatever happens, happens. i’m open to whatever, but only for the right reasons.
no contact does work! just in many ways that you don’t think. you learn many things about yourself and others.
edit: I forgot to mention, throughout my two years of no contact, i learned to love myself and learn my triggers. i know that there’s moments i tend to get upset or mad so i learned how to navigate through life. I’m more independent. i was very codependent with him, so i was able to break my shell.
I wish i was able to work on myself with him, but it was clear i needed to do things on my own. I hope good things happen to him and myself!
