They were literally beating his ass for 19 pages str8 during chapter 260. We saw Yuji Shakespeare off being slashes in the previos domain, and black flash and slashes but he's now easily getting tossed aside by a casual attacks. "Bu but domain expansion" bruh they both have simple domains, Todous 50 swapping per second CT AND A bunch of Mei Meis crows to help them in the swapping and kamikaze attacks, and Yuji's regen + black flashes. Plus wouldnt doing alot of damage disturb the domain? Yuji just hit this man with his 8 soul damaging black flash. Sukuna just admitted that he couldnt adapt to Reboogie woogie. Shit Miguel and Maki are also STILL alive.
At this point letting the injured just heal thx to Shoko + utahime boost with Gojo staying dead sound alot more interesting.
My main beef is bringing back Todou w a brandy New improvement and just switching it over already.

HOW is Sukuna still able to fight? HOW does he have any CE at all? In the last hour, he has done 4 domain expansions (the move that should destroy your CE reserves), tanked a 200% hollow purple, tanked a black flash + a lot of attacks from Gojo, summoned MAHORAGA and a shikigami beast using RCT, tanked a point blank hollow purple that destroyed a whole block of the city and Mahoraga, resurrected, then ran a gauntlet of fighting top of the line grade 1 sorcerers, and a top of the line special grade Yuta with domain expansion, all while being nerfed by Yuji. Last chapter he legit got hit by ANOTHER (8th???) black flash that nerfs him, after using a ductape domain expansion, and now, all of a sudden, he can just swat locked-in Yuji away like bug and open another domain? Like I do understand the genius part but Six Eyes really are Shit Eyes since apparently anyone can just have infinite CE.... Also if summoning shikigami in 10 shadows costs 0 CE... it makes Megumi the biggest bum in history since apparently he could have just summoned the dog on Haruta and killed him in 2 seconds, he really summoned Mahoraga because he was suicidal lmao.

Just forget Wuji's domain expansion, Wuji fans are so simple and kind hearted that forget about domain expansion, we would have been more than happy to see HIM using shrine more ffs...

2024.05.23 07:17 Historical-Weird7591 Okay let me just summarize this chapter, my mental state and the whole subs mental state

First off, Yuta is in Gojo's body using Kenjaku's technique. So uhhhbbb Mods take away literally half the souls of the people in this sub. I know we just got 200k, but we're going to have to lower that down to 100k.
Second off, this means Gojo is now dead, dead. No more Gojo return memes, no we're so back, nothing. He's dead. He lost his brain. Physically and mentally , he can't come back anymore. The only possible way is for him to come back as a cursed spirit via the explanation that he didn't die from WCS but instead due to physics(space shifting). u/Memeenjoyer_ and u/ChrisAnIntellectual I am sorry for losses.
3rd Yuta and the gang are discussing the pros and cons of this strategy. Their using it as a plan d when everyone else is out of commission. They also discuss the morality of taking over Gojo's body, in which Yuta tells them "to grow a pair and stop being a bunch of sorry as bums"....... jk he just said "fuck moral we're fighting Jujutsu satan we don't got time for morals and also we're you bullying Gojo into being the strongest by himself?"
By the way theirs a 50 percent chance that after Yuta's 5 minute timer he will either die or be permanently stuck in Gojo's body....... so yeah it's guaranteed Gojover and maybe Yuover, we'll have to see.
After this we see Gojo and Yuta talking about Yuta's bloodline and how Uro said that that Yuta is related Fujiwara, and Gojo Said he's related Sugawara. In which Gojo Saud that Yuta might be related to both......... Yuta is never beating the main character or favorite allegations. Yuta your in my top 5 favorite characters but please stop stealing Yuji's spotlight.
After Gojo said this he then starts glazing Yuta, saying genetics wise Yuta was born better than him, so he shouldn't be wasting it. After which he then grills Yuta for his sloppy CE(I'm guessing CE control). Basically he's saying "Hey Yuta you should rob me of six eyes, cause with it you would be absolutely cracked my guy."
Gojo then talks about higher up nonsense Yada Yada, who cares. Yuta then tells Gojo not to be a monster.... which doesn't mean much now when he's dead, but it's the thought that counts right Yuta. Gojo then gets a flashback of Geto leaving him.
Then we get a scene of FUCKING RIN AMAI, YES THAT MOTHERFUCKER WHO GOT BULLIED BY PLANE CHICK, AND HELICOPTER MAN. He creates pudding which he shows off to Shokoa and which Yuji eats(blud can solve world hunger but nah I guess). Shoko then tells him to help the medics by supplying the brains of the injured with Sugar.
Then we see Shoko and Yuta talking, and it's about how Yuta's body is kind of cooked, and how he's going to transfer his brain on to Gojo's body.
It then cuts to Sukuna and Yujo having a domain clash in which Yuta is using UV it seems, and Sukuna is using Malfunctioning Shrine but it looks a bit different(at least to me) also theirs hair or something wispy along the edges of UV(probably just to show the clashing of domains or something). It also says that Gojo found a way to counter Sukuna's open barrier domain. By the way don't forget Yuji and Todo are right next to them so either their getting blended up or getting brain damage pick your poison.
Also Choso fans we saw him for literally one panel in the first page, but hey at least we saw him right?(Choso revival in 262 trust)
So now we have the summary of the chapter let me summarize both my emotions and the subs emotions as well as noth stocks and everything else in general.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Okay but on a serious note.
Stocks: Gojo stocks are now dead, they are now cheaper than Megumi stocks, seeing how he literally can not come back as I said before on this post. The only way to earn money from Gojo stocks are from flash backs and and Sukuna glazing him. -85%, not -99% seeing how he did contribute.
Yuji stocks got a hit seeing how he literally had like 2 or 3 panels in which he was their. One the panels was him eating pudding. Also despite Yuji literally ripping into Sukuna chest, Sukuna literally just shoves him off to glaze Yuta. So like -5% to '7%
Todo stocks like Yuji got a slight hit seeing how he was put aside in this chapter, but seeing how he didn't get shoved and ignored by Sukuna I'll say a -1% hit to his stocks.
Sukuna stocks like normal are chaotic as hell, but I'll say it did go up seeing how he did pull out domain expansion with nothing going wrong it seems. Also he did smile and glaze Yuta which is often a sign of bad things. +5%
Should stocks are surprisingly affected by this chapter, as we see her helping Yuta recover and switch bodies, so like +20% seeing how this is a major play.
RIN AMAI FUCKING RIN AMAI might have gotten a raise in stocks. By how much I can't fucking decide, but hey it rose so..... congratulations Amai fans. If you guys exist or not
Yuta, Yuta, Yuta, Yuta. Literally has like a 99% increase in stocks right now. Bro might be the honored one, he's beating the main charactefavorite allegations. He survived WCS, he had the most panel time, he had the most dawg energy in tbe chapter, he copied Kenjaku's technique, got Gojo's body and the six eyes, and mow has access to Limitless. Also he might be JJK Naruto seeing how he might be related to both Fujiwara and Sugawara, so bro really has the genetic advantage, bro was right when he was talking with Ryu, blud is blessed. THE ONLY REASON HIS STOCKS DIDN'T GO UP BY 100% IS BECAUSE THEIRS A CHANCE HE MIGHT DIE AFTER THE 5 MINUTES.
Megumi stocks...... you know the drill every chapter he doesn't do anything he gets his stocks lowered.
Okay so that covers stocks, now on to emotions. I personally feel conflicted. Cause on one hand this chapter was a huge middle finger to Yuji and Todo, on the other hand Yuta is back and he's in my top 5 favorites, on the other, other hand I wanted him to comeback by himself with complete Rika and then use a maximum technique or something not coming back as Gojo(plus it jeopardizes YutaxMaki), also the other other other hand this chapter is stopping us from getting premium Sukuna slander like the good old days before 236.
While I like Yuta it felt like Gege rushed it in order to make it so that Gojo doesn't comeback, also Yuta is becoming to overpowered its not even funny anymore. This chapter was also flashback Kaisen we literally had 3 pages of the current fight the rest was literally flashbacks.
So overall I'd give it a 6.5 to 7.5 or I guess a 7, I genuinely might of liked it more if it switched to Uruame vs Hakari just for more access to Hakari slander.
Now the sub right now is up in flames, Yuta fans are basically ascending, Gojo fans are up in flames seeing how this is the second worst thing to happen to them(236 is #1), Hakari fans are existing(blud got 2 panels), Yuji and Todo fans are literally 1 plane ticket away from doing illegal things to Gege, Choso we're slowly recovering until the 3rd panel of the first page, Shoko fans are crawling out of their rocks, Amak fans are existing somewhere I think? And Sukuna fans are quite literally befuddled, bamboozled, and hoodwinked. They don't know if their goat is cooked or if he has something up his sleeve(asspull)
So uh yeah thanks for reading all that.

User can summon technology similar to shikigami, specifically things like a cellphone, laptop, cables, speakers, headphones, etc. Most of these tools can gloat alongside the user and also function as their actual Irl counterparts.
Ce trait- the user of this technique has a pixely shaped ce, which gives the user enhanced Ce manipulation and makes their Ce sharper in multiple places.
Extension techniques:
Cellphone- the cellphone can do things like take pictures and "cut" inanimate objects (without cursed energy) in order to later "paste" it back into reality for a variety of affect, these objects can also be "copied" so that it can be re-used, however if its copied and used too much it can glitch which can deconstruct the object and inevitably cause damage to the phone slowing it down indefinitely. The phone can also use the camera to create flashes to disorient the enemy, or compress the flash into a ce blast of energy. The phone floats alongside the user when they want it too. The phone also has an Ai that powers it, its much more advanced than current Ai as it can not only answer most questions easily (having access to the internet) but also has its own emotions and feelings surrounding the user, formulating complex thoughts and emotions on its own and even keeping up conversations like you're best friends would ( this is 100% a coding mistake the user made that cannot be fixed, don't worry though the Ai is funny) the Ai is called sam and bases its self off of people on the internet, it comes off as extremely condescending and sarcastic but can be sweet and caring when the moment presents itself, she is also the basis of all of the technique, since she inhabits all of the technology the user creates.
Tablet- the tablet can take the photos from the phone in order to "edit" them causing their overall shapes, parameters, and even density or points to be completely different, however the more different an object is from its original the more Ce inefficient it is, and it can also cause glitches over time. The tabled floats alongside the user when they want it too.
Laptop- the laptop can create codes for different photos or codes just in general. The coded photos can add effects and change more conceptual things such as weight, density, instability, etc. Raw codes can do a variety of things, like creating new technology based shikigami with varying abilities, changing Irl things such as objects temperatures or how they react to other objects, and if the user miss-codes something it 100% ends in a glitch and eventually implodes on itself. The laptop can sort of float, it more just stays still whe placed somewhere but doesn't move independently.
Cables- the user cam summon different kinds of cables for different thing or to connect his devices to each other or other things. These cables can first conduct Ce and convert it into electrical energy (still cursed) which can charge his devices or be used to attack. Next these cords can connect to inanimate objects to steal their code or manipulate it for different effects, it can also steal somethings base code in order to glitch it. The cables cannot float ok their own, however they can stay suspended when the user needs it.
Headphones- they act as basic headphones, but they can also connect to other people's subconscious as a form of telepathy (has to be consentful on both parties). The headphones cannot float. (because why would they need too?)
Portable projector- the user summons a small speaker sized projector that has the ability to project a barrier that's size is dependent on the amount of cursed energy put into it, the strength of the barrier is also dependent on Ce output. These projections have no shapes other than square but it can still have other stuff projected in order to confuse the opponent. The projector floats alongside the user and can be sent somewhere else or stay put.
Printer- the user summons an average sized printer that has no abilities on its own and is one of the only tools that can't float, however when paired with the computer it can either print out stock images or saved images on paper almost instantly, these images become the real thing after the paper leaves the users hand, theses objects don't stay solid forever and are very size dependent (if its smaller it stays longer and vice versa) and the objects couldn't really pass as the real thing since they'll usually look blocky or can be missing textures or colors.
Portable charger- this is more of a personal tool which the user can store Ce for later use into, however it can also turn that Ce into electricity either for the users combat or to actually charge the tools. This tool can float alongside the user.
Maximum technique:
Complete system- the user summons a computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, pc, and speakers (they are all floating about standing level to the user). After this the user can either stand at the computer and use the technique which gives him minimal control over the surrounding area (think the op op no mi from one piece but less powerful) in this area the user controls all non cursed inanimate objects, he can edit their composition, weight, shape, etc. He doesn't gain 100%control over things and glitches are more common here. For the other maximum he has to put his phone onto the keyboard and say "autopilot" which creates a robotic armor for sam, the armor itself is about 7'0 with a very wide build (almost like a transformer) the robot is comprised 100% of technology such as car parts, computers, speakers, etc which gives sam an extreme array of abilities, however the user is limited to just his Ce and anything sam doesn't use (probably just cables and portable charger).
Domain expansion: World wide web- the domain puts all people in it, within a desktop computer, this includes an interactive background (its random every time) a cursor, apps, and setting on the bottom. The sure hit of this domain is that sam becomes a litteral entity made of pure energy, in this form she has just as much control of the domain as the user of this domain, other than that there is no sure hit, but the cursor can be used to click(attack), drag(throw), and edit(look at/slightly alter stats) while they are still. Apps can also be opened which can lead to an array of even more possibilities (going to YouTube and watching a video to disorient the enemy, going to Twitter to make them immediately upset, or going to reddit to cause a numerous amount of possible affects).
Other info:
Glitches/viruses- if the user messed up/overuses/or gain some sort of penalty via technique, then a glitch or virus is created. A glitch/virus can come in multiple forms either being an error in programming that depending on the amount of error can either just stop something from working or full on implode it, they can also show up as living entities that vary in size but are always a purple electric monster that corrupts whatever it makes contact with (the corruption either continues to spread or stops after a while and it doesn't affect living or cursed objects) the viruses are also extremely hostile and attack any living thing they can find including the user, however they are rarely a real threat as they are usually dealt with similar to curses, but they have been able to become special grade relative before (even developing an anti program of sort that acts as a technique).
Programs- programs in a way can act as binding vows with less rules, they can cause a multitude of effects, like loss or gain in Ce, enhanced attributes, or even entirely different effects, however they also act as litteral programs which means if there is even a slight error in its program it can shut down or stop working entirely (this can come in handy sometimes by freezing objects in place for a short period of time)
Binding vows:
Autopilot- by saying autopilot the user gives sam complete access to their technique, this allows sam to do whatever she wants with any of the technology for about an hour, this vow also enhances the uses Ce output by 50% since he's essentially losing his technique for a given time.
Power off- by turning the power off on all his devices he gains a 100% boost in overall stats and Ce
Combo breaker- the user can activate a video game esk ability by saying "power up" within the 15 minutes time limit the user gains a garunteed black flash, given they can hit the enemy 15 times before they can hit him, this ability can backfire because his enemy gains the same effect, this can either be a make or break situation depending on how you look at it (these black flashed are also about 2X power instead of 2.5X to make it more even.
Extra:

this ability was made to be overpowered so don't come at me for it.
i have no OC to go along with this technique (however i did have some Canon thoughts for its eventual user) -if you wanna use it thats fine just ask pls

A decade ago I finally realized that I was a man inside, which resulted in some of the most extreme pain emotionally I’ve ever experienced. I’m talking self harm type stuff like cutting at my breasts and hitting myself in the uterus area. I remember keeping myself locked up in the bathroom for hours just hating my body. I was forced to finally tell my mom what was going on, and wrote her a note on a flash card saying I’m a guy on the inside. I frequently had suicidal thoughts, yet not once did my parents take me to someone to medically transition, despite my mom threatening to put me in a psychiatric ward at some point.
Fast forward to nowadays, I don’t experience the extreme dysphoria that I once used to. I think my mind has numbed me largely to the pain of it all. Recently however, I finally had the courage to seek out hormone treatment. I now have it, here in my apartment, yet am super anxious and scared to start. I am harboring resentment towards my parents so much so that I frequently have dreams of them misgendering me or deadnaming me and me responding by yelling in anger. Once I actually yelled out loud in my sleep I was so angry. I realize now that I need to do what makes me happy inside rather than trying to constantly people please. When I think about medically transitioning I feel gender euphoria.
I can feel my resentment growing towards my parents. I’ve legally changed my name and gender yet they still rotate between using my preferred name and a short version of my deadname. This tells me that they still don’t fully accept me or feel comfortable with me being trans. I just need support I guess. I’m planning on starting T in a month and I’m scared of their reactions but I need to live to my full potential.

Description: This is one of the three treasured techniques of the Fleets Family. This technique is a summoning technique. The user can summon up to nine different shikigami, each one based on one of the nine planets of the solar system.

Shikigami: I will put them in order of which ones she uses the most frequently

Venus: This is the main shikigami that she uses the most. She uses this mostly to fill her with Reversed Cursed Energy while she fights melee with her cursed tool. She mainly summons Venus some ways away with a clear view of the area she is in so Venus can always keep an eye on her. If someone tries to attack Venus either Venus will hypnotise them or Aurelia will unsummon Venus.
Dominate Nebula (Neptune + Uranus Fusion): Instead of using the Neptune and Uranus shikigami, Aurelia likes to use the fusion. She mainly uses this shikigami to fly around on its back and also to fire high-pressure water blasts from a distance and mainly to fight cursed spirits.
Mercury: Aurelia uses Mercury sometimes for an opening fast attack but that's it. She tries to get her opponent off-guard and uses Mercury at its top speed to blitz them. Once she has used it for the opening attack she will switch back to using her other favorite shikigami.
Jupiter: Aurelia mainly uses Jupiter with Maximum Output to summon a giant version of it. She mainly uses the Gate form instead of the Wall form, to stop powerful direct attacks.
Earth: Aurelia forgets about this shikigami a lot, she is more skilled with other shikigami that can do the same things but better. If she does remember to use this shikigami she will most likely use it for a surprise attack like if she was fighting in a forested area and used this shikigami's Acclimatization ability to make it look like the native plant life and surprise her enemy.
Saturn: Aurelia is not skilled with using the Saturn shikigami. The Accel/Decel ability messes up her timing for her attacks so instead she mainly uses it for its physical abilities. Using it to mainly deal with flying threats instead while she is focusing on something else.
Mars and Pluto: Aurelia rarely uses these shikigami as they were intended to be used. Instead, she mainly uses these two for the Collison extension technique to create a massive explosion by sacrificing both of them.

Summoning Medium: Since the summoning medium of the shikigami are explosions it allows Aurelia to summon and unsummon her shikigami extremely fast. She also uses the explosions to slightly stun her opponents by forcing her hands close to their faces and creating a somewhat bright explosion, like a flash bang but not to that extent. She can also use the explosions as faints to trick her opponent into thinking that she summoned or unsummoned a shikigami.
Shikigam Ritual: Aurelia even uses the shikigami ritual to her advantage in battle. If one of her opponents utilized cursed spirits, then she could try to force that cursed spirit into becoming the body for her shikigami. This act would essentially neutralize a cursed spirit and possibly allow Aurelia to gain one of her shikigami back if she happens to lose one.
Extension Techniques

Coalesce: Aurelia doesn't use this extension as a projectile, she believes the CE cost is too much for such a weak ranged attack. She also doesn't use the spheres to trick others with its weird CE signature. She only learned this extension to use the Collison and Meteor Belt techniques.
- Collison: As I stated before, Aurelia mainly uses Mars and Pluto with this technique to cause a great explosion. If desperate enough she could use this with other shikigami but most likely won't unless pressed against a wall.
- Meteor Belt: Aurelia uses this technique in conjunction with Simple Domain to create a large simple domain.

Reversed Cursed Energy: Aurelia is quite skilled at RCE, she learned from using Venus so much and now she is quite adept at using it to heal herself.

Reversed Cursed Technique: Retrograde: She mainly summons the black hole behind her to pull her enemies closer to her. Like how Gojo uses Blue to pull two enemies together, Aurelia can also summon the black hole between two people but unsummons it before it touches them so the two people collide into each other.
- Extension Techniques
  - Zero-G Paralysis: Aurelia uses this extension to trap her enemies between multiple small black holes. She also uses this technique to hide smaller and not as noticeable black holes around the battlefield so she can use them to her advantage later during the fight.

Domain Expansion

Name: Loving Eye of the Goddess
Appearance: In this domain, the inside looks like the surface of the actual planet Venus. Floating around the planet is a small moon that has a large eye on it that is constantly looking down at the planet. The iris of the eye is golden and the lashes are very well manicured.
Ability: The eye on the moon is representative of the Venus shikigami. Whoever is under the watch of the eye is under the effect of either of Venus's abilities, so either hypnotized or being healed by RCE. Aurelia decides who inside the domain is affected by either ability.

Binding Vows

Ruling Planet: Aurelia uses this binding vow with the Venus planet so that she doesn't have to use the shikigami ritual to regain the Venus shikigami and instead will always return after a time limit of 1 hour. So now the Earth shikigami has to be regained through the ritual instead.
Planet Limitation: This binding vow is one Aurelia created for herself, and it states that she can't summon more than two shikigami at one time. In exchange for this decrease in versatility the two shikigami she has summoned gain a moderate boost of power.

Learned Techniques

Simple Domain: Aurelia's time in Asia allowed her to witness and learn Simple Domain. She mainly uses Simple Domain for defensive purposes, such as in Domain Expansions and to also reduce the damage from cursed techniques. In conjunction with Meteor Belt, this allows her to have a wide range of Simple Domain. She can't expand her domain as big as Kusakabe but it is larger than most. The downside is that the Meteor Belt extension is what attrafically extends her Simple domain so if someone destroys one of the small spheres then her Simple Domain will shrink back down to the 3-meter diameter.
Twister: Twister is one of the secret arts that the Fleets family has created and mastered. Aurelia is a master at Twister using it both offensively and defensively. Aurelia can reinforce her cursed tool with cursed energy while rotating that cursed energy to give her attacks a more piercing drill-like effect to damage her opponents more. By utilizing the spinning CE reinforced into her cursed tools she can also allow the tool to spin around in her hand extremely fast or change the direction of her attacks mid-swing. Defensively, Aurelia can reinforce her body with spinning CE so that an attack would redirect itself off of her before doing any damage. She can also use the barrier version that her brother, Jade uses.

Cursed Tool

Name: Spider Lily
Appearance: This cursed tool is a 2 meter long blood red colored nagata. The entire tool is the same blood red with no deviation, the shaft, and the blade.
Grade: 1st
Ability: The technique imbued into this tool is blood manipulation. With this tool, the user can use the extension technique Slicing Exorcism, to fire large sharp chakrams made of blood. The blood used in this technique is from the cursed tool itself, when the user fires off a chakram the shaft of the polearm shrinks slightly until the polearm slowly shortens down to a dagger. To recharge the cursed tool the user has to cut themselves and let the cursed tool take some of theirs. The tool can fire off around 20 Slicing Exorcisms before shorting down to a dagger.

I've not seen this mentioned after a few searches on reddit and google as a whole. The theory is as follows.
The cause for Ghoulification is from the massive amount of preservatives in the the various packaged foodstuffs consumed by most Americans in the pre-war world. It's fascinating how so much of the food is still safe for consumptions after 200 years and nuclear devastation. It came to me while reading a study about how chemicals can accumulate in a nursing mother's breast milk and be passed on to their infants when consumed. Lead poisoning is another such instance of build up that can occur. The body recognizes the lead as another chemical and incorporates that into the body. This lead can't get processed and would accumulate, slowly killing them.
I've seen the countless mention of radiation as the cause and even in game sources say as much, but the catalyst always rung hollow as radiation tends to destroy cellular bonds and cause mutations that usually result in death. There's some theories that's it's a side effect of radiation mixed with FeV or even that the mutation of New Plague caused by radiation results in ghoulification. But this is harder to justify when there exist some instances of pre-war ghouls and post-war ghouls who aren't exposed to either.
The one unifier I could see that's capable of causing ghoulification is the radiation mutating whatever preservatives keeps the pre-war food fresh. Imagine if you will, you consume plenty of blamco mac and cheese. Your body incorporates that into your body and then suddenly undergoes a heavy dose of rads. These rads not only destroy the bonds of your DNA but frees it as well. At the same instance the chemicals that preserve the food sees your free DNA as just more organic matter to preserve. As so much of the chemicals persist in your body from consuming it, the rads super charge their effects and effectively flash preserves you. This could explain the desiccated appearance of most ghouls. They're effectively dried, preserved jerky. The same preservatives that keeps food fresh for 200+ years, now keeps a ghoul preserved, with metabolism being driven by radioactive decay, instead of ATP synthesis, that's fairly prevalent throughout the wasteland.
This could explain why some people ghoulify while others just outright die from the radiation. The amount of these pre-war preservatives in their bodies at the time of radiation exposure could be the missing catalyst to so many instances of ghoulification. It would also allow for post-war survivors and descendants to also be affected as there's still tons of these pre-war foodstuffs laying about and often getting scavenged, traded, and consumed, slowly building up in their bodies. As to why vault dwellers don't immediately undergo ghoulification, it's likely their diet consist more on hydroponically or aeroponically grown foodstuff with some of the supply of pre-war food used supplementarily. Given time, the chemicals would slowly get processed out of the human body.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. It'd be interesting to explore this further.

I think it’s obvious that, while I’ve never lied to my dad and my brother about something big before, I haven’t told either of them about the animals at the zoo and I’m not planning on it. Even if they believed me, that would actually be worse than thinking I was being foolish by working here. If my dad knew what kind of animals the zoo had, he’d freak out, whether or not there were invisible walls to protect me. In and of itself, my father would demand I quit on the spot if he found out about my hourly rate because it was obvious that there was something about this job that warranted it.
So, I opened a savings account at the bank, and when I deposited the check, I put half in that account. That lowered the chances of my dad finding out how much money I was pulling in.
It wasn’t as if I had anything huge to spend the money on anyway, though. Dad had been thrilled with $25/hr. when I got the job, and we’d already started spending some of that first paycheck on new clothes and little house repairs and such. Money has always been tight, and we live in a three-bedroom house, with my dad graciously having taken the smallest room (which was kind of a catchall storage room up until then) once my brother and I wanted separate rooms when we hit our teenage years.
My mom isn’t in the picture, if you’re curious. She worked as a wildlife photographer, and was so good at it that she’d get paid to go off to remote places in Africa. For months at a time. As if we don’t have animals in America, right? But even when she was here, it always felt like she was distracted, wanting to go back to work. Like she cared more about the animals than about us. Say what you want about me, but I like animals more than people, I don’t love them more. I don’t even think of her as mom anymore; in my brain, she’s Patricia.
When I was nine and my brother Stanley was two, she basically left and never came back. Doesn’t even send postcards. For all I know, she’s dead, and the most meaningful thing I ever got from her was my passion for caring about other animals. I got into it early because of Patricia, and then practically every birthday or Christmas present was some book or movie or toy about wildlife. But that’s all she did for us besides financial support. My dad is a real rock in my life, and I count myself lucky I got at least one good parent.
When Patricia ditched us, I started to help out financially when I was younger by working odd jobs, and then real jobs when I hit sixteen. Stanley is sixteen now, and he’s been working at Hanks Hardware for a few months, which meant now it was all three of us pulling in money. But Stanley only makes $10/hr., working four hours after school and then eight hours on Saturday, so my $25/hr. literally doubled our household income. When I’d gotten the job, I told Dad and Stanley that I wanted Stanley to quit his job, and that I’d give him an allowance, $80 a week, which was what he'd be using for pocket money if he’d still been working.
Getting that time back would be huge for Stanley, because it would let him spend more time on his schoolwork. Not just to bring up his grades; he would literally be learning more. And he’s a junior now, doing things like taking a computer class to learn Microsoft Office. Living in a small town limits your options, and knowledge broadens them. I know that much for sure.
Not to mention, he could actually be a teenager, do the stuff kids did. Go see a movie, hang out with his friends at the bleachers and smoke pot, and head out to the lake to swim when the weather warmed up and have a genuinely fun summer instead of having a forty hour work week. And most important, playing video games. I know that sounds strange, but Stanley loves video games and plays online on the TV in the living room. But he hardly ever has time to play, which means sometimes he’ll stay up too late enjoying himself and fall asleep the next day during his first period class. Dad and I never have the heart to tell him to go to bed, though.
My father was uneasy about Stanley quitting, mostly because of the hypothetical of my job falling through. And Dad didn’t even know about the possibility of there being some terrifying incident with an animal, which might cause me such anxiety that I wouldn’t be able to push past it and would end up needing to quit. I really didn’t think that was likely after I’d managed to mostly get over my paralyzing fear of Yui, but I yielded to his logic and we negotiated. Stanley decided to switch to three hours three days a week and four hours on Saturdays.
Little did they know that not only was I was saving up for my own impending student loan payments, but my savings account would cover a most or maybe all of the cost of any college or trade school Stanley wanted to attend when he graduated. I was so happy about that, I don’t have the words. Half of my income is $25/hr. and for eight hours a day will be $52k a year, all of it put in my savings account. Before taxes, but still, that is fantastic money. I’ll have to come clean eventually, when Stanley started filling out FAFSA forms next year, and I’ll probably tell my dad that I was pretty sure they’re running drugs out of the back of the zoo or something. He’ll be so pissed, but that’s over a year away and I’ll burn that bridge when I came to it.
So, in general, I’ve been enjoying working at the zoo and depositing those paychecks. Call me a cynic, but inevitably, that meant something had to go wrong.
After settling in for my shift a few minutes before 9 p.m., Andrew bid me farewell and headed home. He’d just done one last walk of the zoo, so I took out a book and resumed where I’d left off, planning to do a sweep in an hour. I do have some enrichment planned for one of the animals, but I’d had to order something online and it won’t arrive for a few days.
Shortly after my second ramble around on my route to check every enclosure at the zoo, however, I got a text from my brother.

Gary and Shaun are going to the zoo. They want to try to see the animals.

I closed my eyes in annoyance. Gary and Shaun were two sort-of friends of Stanley’s, the middling kind of friend that you sit with at lunch and hang out with at parties but you’ve never actually been to their home. I knew Stanley had been bragging to his friends about my new job. Well, I guessed. He’d told me and Dad at the dinner table that his friends were impressed with my job, and I figured the fact that his sister had a college degree and had started work at $25/hr. was bragging material, especially when it meant Stanley could work fewer hours.
The idea that some of his friends would want to come check out the zoo hadn’t occurred to me, because I’d come at it logically: The zoo was closed to outsiders. Appointment only. And none of them would ever get an appointment, because they were human. But if anything, the rules that restricted them had probably made it a more enticing idea. Also, Stanley said it the zoo on Google Maps at this point, but that it was blurred out. Andrew told me that had been by request (anyone can do it actually), but I’m sure that made the temptation even worse.
Obviously I wasn’t going to let them in, but I didn’t want them to cause trouble, and they were teenagers. Teenagers tend to cause trouble as a general rule. The last thing I wanted was to have to tell Andrew that they’d shown up at the gate intent on visiting the zoo because my brother had talked it up so much. Not that Stanley knew what this place really housed, but still, Andrew had been so stern on no photography of Leila that I would’ve been embarrassed if I had to call the cops because of something like this.
My reply was curt.

Tell those dipshits the place is closed to walk-ins. I’m not letting them in.
I did. They want to go anyway.

I facepalmed and sighed before replying.

If you can’t talk them out of it, just don’t go with them. I’ll deal with it.

There was a long silence, then some ellipses as he typed, then another long silence. I got antsy and sent a follow-up.

Stanley, I mean it. I do not want you here if I have to call the cops to get them to leave. Stay home. If you show up here with them, I’m cutting off the money I give you.

I wasn’t the type to play fast and loose with threats about money, so that probably surprised him. There was the briefest of pauses.

Geez, no need to be a bitch about it. Fine. I’ll stay here. Good luck dealing with those assholes without me.

That was indeed exactly what I wanted, and he must have known that. Hell, I had pepper spray and a taser, so it’s not like I couldn’t keep them out if I really wanted to. But when it came down to it, I figured, what were they going to do? I wasn’t going to open the door or the front gate. The fence was ten feet high, the kind with spaced bars that had decorative spikes at the top, and it was brand new. It wasn’t as if they were going to take bolt-cutters to a barbed wire fence like in a movie.
In the end, I sat back in my chair and just fell back on my regular routine. I wonder now, if I’d called Andrew and told him, maybe asked him to come hang out for a while, whether things would’ve turned out different. But I wasn’t very well going to wake him up for something that essentially sounded like a minor irritation.
At 10:41 p.m., a beep, beep, beep, alert sounded, and I know the exact time because I picked my phone up off the desk out of habit, assuming it was what was making the noise. But it wasn’t. Looking up to the screen of cameras, one was outlined in red, pulling my focus to it. It was an exterior camera with a wide view that panned back and forth, but was now stopped on movement that it had detected and had deemed sufficient to audibly alert me. I later learned that it was in conjunction with a motion detector on the fence. On the screen, I saw two boys, one on the outside of the fence to the left of the entrance gate and one on the inside.
“What the fuck?” I breathed, standing up and putting my book aside. My fingers went to the mouse and keyboard, and I expanded the view from the camera and zoomed in. It seemed I’d underestimated the boredom and curiosity of two small-town teenage boys.
I saw how the first boy had gotten in when the second boy used the same technique, which was to climb a rope that had knots tied in it about a foot apart, a rope that had been hooked onto one of the spikes at the top, presumably with a loop that had been lassoed and tightened. He made it to the top, shifted and dropped to hang from the top by his hands, then let himself fall to the ground, his knees bending and absorbing the shock of the impact before falling on his butt.
One of the boys had hit a growth spurt, topping out at 5’11” now, all gangly limbs. He had short brown hair and I could see him wearing a sweatshirt with the logo of his school on it. That’s the best outfit to wear when breaking in, apparently: something that shows what high school you go to. The other one was a little more built and half a foot shorter, with long blonde hair that he probably thought made him look like Chris Hemsworth. It didn’t.
“I cannot believe this,” I growled, my anger flaring. Heading quickly out of the office, slamming the door behind me, I was out the door and walking toward the entrance, driven by my anger.
Already walking into the park at a speed driven by their interest in the forbidden areas, they started on the path that went toward enclosure one and rounded the zoo. “Hey!” I barked.
“Ripley!” Gary exclaimed. “Your brother said you wouldn’t open the gate, so we let ourselves in.”
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I asked, keeping pace beside them, rage bubbling up inside me. They slowed but didn’t stop. “Do you think this is a joke? There’s a reason I told my brother not to come with you. That alarm you set off goes to the owner of the park, and they’ll definitely be pressing charges. You really want ‘breaking and entering’ on your rap sheet?”
They gave me long-suffering looks, the kind only someone under twenty is capable of. The kind that imply you’re neurotic, or pushy, or self-centered. The kind that say you don’t know what you’re talking about, that they know so much more than you, and that all you are is an annoyance.
“Come on. What is with this place? It sounds awesome, some private zoo, but Stanley didn’t know anything about it,” Shaun told me. Glancing at my belt, where my pepper spray and taser were, he asked, “Is it that top secret? Everything here could sell on the black market for a million bucks or something?”
“They’re expensive animals if poachers get their hands on them, yes,” I said tightly.
“Why would they hire someone fresh out of college for that?” Gary asked, his eyes continuing to take in his surroundings, the path and everything in sight bathed in their standard eerie red glow. “And what’s with the lights?”
“It’s for night vision,” I told him, skipping over the part implying I wasn’t qualified for this job. “Hey, stop.” Moving in front of them, I forced the issue, moving to stand in front of them and forcing them to either stumble to a stop or run into me. “If you climb back over the fence and leave now, before anyone gets here, I’ll lie and say I didn’t know your faces.”
“Jesus Christ, you’re uptight,” Shaun chuckled. “What’s the big deal? I mean, we might not even see anything, since it’s nighttime and the animals are sleeping. It’s not like we’re stealing a tour.”
Honestly, I have no idea how our species has survived this long when our formative years make us so confidently stupid. “So, why are you even here then?” I asked, folding my arms.
“Why not?” Gary asked.
With that, they were quickly walking around me, toward enclosure one. I hadn’t yet seen the animal in enclosure one, but what I did know was I didn’t want to see it for the first time tonight. Roger’s short and snappy description described it as Bear - Steve. According to procedure in the small manual Andrew had given me, I was supposed to deter any intruders with fact that they were on camera and threaten to call the police. It didn’t say what to do if that didn’t work, but I assume I was supposed to…call the police. And also call Andrew, of course. That didn’t solve my urgent problem though, which was two teenagers who wanted to see something cool.
“That’s it,” I growled, taking my taser in one hand and my pepper spray in the other, hoping the sight of me being armed would deter them. Heading after them, I snapped, “If you guys do not leave, I will make you leave.”
Shaun turned and walked backwards so he could speak to me. “Just because you’ve got a complex since they hired you to look after a place like this, doesn’t mean you have any real authority,” he told me. “Look, call the cops if you want. Tell them some teenagers broke in. Response time around here is probably fifteen minutes, so we’ve got ten minutes, minimum. We just want to see something cool, and then we’ll leave.”
I hate that he called my bluff on the weapons, especially in hindsight. I’m not a confrontational person, and my instincts are always to avoid a fight if possible. So, in this case, my instincts were telling me to call in someone else to help get these clowns out of the zoo, not to use the weapons I had for just such a purpose. It makes me feel helpless and angry knowing that I back down from fights, but I balked at the idea of getting physical with them. Only the fact that that wasn’t supposed to be part of my job kept me from feeling like a complete failure as security.
“The animals here are not puppies,” I finally exclaimed. “Some of them are territorial. They could seriously hurt you.”
They finally slowed their pace as they closed in on the gate to the wooden fence. “What are you talking about, territorial? They’re zoo animals,” Gary said.
“This is a huge zoo, and it’s more like a preserve,” I sighed. “It backs up into the forest. These animals build their homes here, scent mark the boundaries, and regularly eat small animals that come in through the bars of the fence to explore. So, like I said. These. Are not. Puppies.”
The two of them finally came to a stop at the gate, looking at me warily. “With this fence, how dangerous could they be?” Gary asked. I didn’t answer. Shaun scanned the expanse behind the gate and Gary looked around, making it clear what he was looking for when he said, “Where are all the signs and shit?”
“There’s a tour guide,” I said. “They don’t need signs.”
“Okay, so, what’s in here?”
Shaking my head, I let out a sigh. “It’s time to leave. I’m serious.”
Gary glared at me for a beat and then said the worst word possible. “Whatever.” Then he turned and unlatched the gate, walking through.
“Gary!” I shouted, stopping short at the threshold. Shaun walked past me, and I made a grab for him, but was too slow. I’ll regret that until the day I die.
Halted at the gate like there was an invisible force field keeping me out in just as it kept the animals in, I officially started panicking. I’d messed up, and now I couldn’t even hit them with either the pepper spray or the taser unless I wanted them to be easy prey.
My eyes scanned the smaller plants along the fence, which slowly grew in average height the closer you got to the tree line. The trees were surprisingly close to the fence, only a few yards in. Also, there were no footprints, no path that only grew small weeds from an animal that often paced back and forth, so I wasn’t sure how often it came out of the trees. Maybe it didn’t.
I wondered if there was another lake, maybe a small pond, that I didn’t know about further in, if the animal lived there. Or maybe this one was relatively reclusive, so I might have time to get the boys out. It could be that it had heard the ruckus of voices and decided to investigate, as it did during tours, but it would take a while to get here. Or I could get lucky and whatever it was could have just had a great meal, deciding to pass up the humans within its grasp.
But I was not lucky.
Putting my pepper spray and taser back in their holsters, I took a couple steps back as I pulled out my cell phone and called 911.
There was a brief pause before I heard someone pick up, and a calm female voice spoke, “911, what is your emergency?”
“Yes, I work at a private zoo, address 11842 Lincoln Road,” I spoke, drawing the shocked gazes of both boys. “Two teenage boys broke in, and they’re refusing to leave the property.”
“For real, Ripley?” Gary exclaimed, as if genuinely offended at my actions.
That’s when all hell broke loose.
Gary was standing near enough to the tall trees that he was under the branches, and something dropped on him, its weight crushing him to the ground. He didn’t even have time to scream. Shaun did, though, crying, “What the fuck?” as he stumbled backwards.
“Get out of there!” I screamed, grabbing my taser from its holster and pointing it at the animal.
On top of Gary’s body was something that looked like a koala. The only thing was, it must have been almost twice as big and had an orange, spotted pattern on its fur. The kicker was the teeth. Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves, most people know, so they don’t have much use for many teeth or even sharp teeth. They’re equipped with a pretty pathetic set of chompers.
Whatever this was, I knew it had a full set of teeth made for a meat-eater, because it had bitten down on Gary’s neck and ripped out a chunk of flesh, arterial blood spraying from the wound.
Shaun, unfortunately, did not take the opportunity to run. He stared at his downed friend, just as I did, in horrified fear. And then ran to him. “Gary!” he screamed. “Hey, get the fuck off him!”
“Shaun, don’t!” I shouted.
Whatever Shaun was thinking, it was less about the potential of him being attacked versus the fact of his friend being attacked right at that moment. I’ll say that about him at least: he didn’t just leave his friend to die. Unfortunately, if he had, it might’ve saved him. Throwing himself at the animal, Shaun shoved it off, an impressive show of strength, before grabbing Gary by the arm and trying to pull him to his feet. “Come on!”
I could see that Gary was barely conscious, though. A gash in an artery that was profusely bleeding will do that to a person. I attempted to aim my taser at the animal, but only a split-second passed before it turned and leapt once more, slamming into Shaun and biting his neck. I stumbled back in fear, adrenaline now pumping through me in earnest, as Shaun cried out in terror and fell to the ground before the animal ripped out his throat.
My vision swam at the sight of a copious amount of blood and the sound of Shaun choking on it. Thick chewing sounds came from the animal before it swallowed and then turned to me.
I only realized I’d dropped my cell phone when I heard a faint, panicked voice ask, “Ma’am? Ma’am, are you there?”
Lowering the taser, I slowly took a couple steps forward, picked up the phone, and I quietly said, “Yeah. I’m here.”
It felt like she was speaking from the other end of a long tunnel when I heard, “I’m sending police and EMT right now. What happened? Was someone injured?”
Swallowing hard, I grimaced as tears came to my eyes. Staring at the animal, which was still meeting my gaze unwaveringly, I simply answered, “Yeah. They’re dead.” At that point, the animal grabbed one of the boys by the throat, then the other, and started dragging them into the trees.
She hesitated before asking some more questions, and I replied to them all absently. Eventually, the animal was gone from my sight, but I still walked backwards as I retraced my steps to the security office, exactly like the first time I’d seen Yui. Eventually I arrived at the security room, and my shaky hand swiped the key card to get in. Shutting the door, I told the 911 operator, “I’m safe.”
“Good. The police should be there in ten minutes.”
My brain thought it was funny that it turned out the boys had been right about the timing, but filed it under ‘things to think about later’. “Okay. I have to call my boss.”
“Just stay on the line with me until the police arrive, okay?”
“It’s okay. I’m fine,” I said quietly. “I just really need to call my boss.”
In spite of her protests, I hung up. The silence of the room rang in my ears and I slowly sat down in my chair, pulling up Andrew’s number.
After four rings, he picked up, his voice drowsy but tense, knowing I’d only call if something had happened. “Ripley? What’s wrong?”
It took me a moment to find my voice. “Two teenagers broke in. They’re dead. Steve killed them.”
“Oh, fuck,” he breathed. After a few beats, he said, “Okay, all right, I’ll, ah, I’ll be there as soon as I can. Did you call the police already?”
“I was on the phone before it even happened, saying they broke in.” I grimaced at that. I was supposed to call my boss first, not the police. That let him determine what actions to take.
Andrew let out a breath. “Okay. I’m assuming Steve took the bodies?”
“Yeah.”
“All right, I’ll call Suzanne and have her put Steve down for a nap, and then get the bodies back to where the EMTs can get them.”
That confused me, and I didn’t really know what to say, so I went with, “I’m sorry, Andrew. I should’ve tried harder to get them to leave. Even tasing and pepper spraying them would’ve-”
“Ripley, this is not your fault,” he said firmly. “I’ll be there soon as I can, all right?”
We ended the conversation and I glanced at the screen of cameras, which was how I’d left it, focused on that section of the fence where the boys had climbed in, with the view enlarged to take up most of the screen. I stared at it until the police arrived.
When the motorcade of flashing lights were visible at the end of the road through one of the cameras, I pressed the button to open the front gate. Fielding the police officers and the EMTs and their questions, I brought them to the enclosure, and right at the edge of the tree line were the two bodies, looking exactly as I’d last seen them. So, I guess Suzanne knows how to run her zoo and handle things when the worst happens.
Both boys were put into body bags and lifted onto gurneys, and then each one was put into one of the two waiting ambulances. Andrew arrived before too long and answered all the questions the police had for him, the ones I didn’t know how to answer. Also the questions that I didn’t really feel comfortable answering, like, “What species of bear is it exactly? And why is there just this flimsy fence here?” I watched from a distance as they took his statement and, I determined by watching their facial expressions, Andrew seemed to answer their questions to their satisfaction.
The long, exhausting experience ended when the last of them left, and Andrew and I went back to the main building, going to his office. Instead of sitting in his desk chair, my boss vied for the couch that sat against one wall, used occasionally by visitors. I sat at the other end, leaning back heavily into the cushions.
Andrew spoke first, echoing his earlier sentiments and immediately making it clear that what occurred wasn’t my fault. I felt some anger at myself, mostly because I knew that if I’d used one of my weapons on one of them, they’d still be alive. But I hadn’t wanted to go to such extremes just because they’d climbed over a fence. They were dumb teenagers, right? I’ve never been tased or pepper sprayed, but I’d seen videos on YouTube and it didn’t look like a fun time.
“Look, you said it that first day in your interview, that people are stupid,” he told me. “Teenagers especially. You know that’s a fact. You did the best you could in that moment, so don’t look back and think of what you could’ve done to fix things, because solutions always seem obvious in hindsight. All right?”
“Yeah,” I muttered.
Andrew sent me home at that point, saying he’d take the rest of the shift. I was too weary to object, so I left.
Stanley was still sleeping safely in his bed, and that’s one thing I’m so grateful for. If this job took my brother from me, I’d be done with it. Still, I don’t relish waking up tomorrow and having to face him. I don’t know exactly how he’s going to react to the news, but it’s going to be the worst thing in the world that’s happened to him, mostly because of the guilt of not being able to talk them out of going. The same way I couldn’t talk them out of staying out of an enclosure.
My schedule is still nocturnal, so I’m not tired enough to sleep right now. Hopefully I’ll get sleepy soon. For now, I’ll play one of Stanley’s mindless old school video games with the sound muted. My main goal is to get the image of all that blood out of my head.

First- sorry for the long read and the fact there is no TL; DR version.
My relationship with my BF has had many ups and downs the past 5 years. He is always flirtatious (doesn't care if a woman is 90 or 18). He is also very opinionated and usually delivers views untactfully. For example, I recently bought new panties and he commented," it's nice to see you're not wearing granny panties anymore." That comment hurt my feelings and he didn't understand why. He told me I am "just too sensitive over little things."
Since we've been together, I have found where he's made accounts to look at other women online. I don't know about his IG, SC, or FB because he refuses to add me as a friend. He does have a Pinterest account where he solely collects pics of women. He also gets extremely upset when I find and/or questions something. Although,about a month ago, he voluntarily deleted his telegram and Whatsapp after I shared with him a screenshot of his America's Best Pics account where he clearly stated he was looking for "beautiful and sexy women". His defense was, "Yes. I enjoy looking and sexy and beautiful women. It's not like I'm looking to f*ck them." I also was able to see his public comments and discussions with other users. They were all flirtatious and in one he actually stated the area on which we live.
Whenever I tell him how his online accounts make me feel, I get told "I'm broken ", "I'm crazy", "I shouldn't live in the past", "I'm insecure ", "I need help","he probably made the account because he was mad at me", " like any other man, he just likes to look at and not have sex with beautiful and sexy women", "I need to get over it ", etc.
I know he watches porn, but no idea to what extent. He first started viewing pornographic material at age 10 and has never stopped. In his past relationships, he told me they would watch porn while having sex. I am not a porn watcher . I it tried once with him and it made me so uncomfortable.
Very early in the relationship , I'm talking maybe a or 2 week, he unpromptedly told me he and his ex wife lived a swinger lifestyle. He also unpromptedly told me very detailed about sexual encounters and sex acts he performed with other women. It's all things I never wanted to know or hear in such detail. After the first time, I asked him to please not tell me anymore because it makes me feel insecure and i don't like hearing it . He would occasionally try to tell me more stories and, when I asked him to stop, he would get angry. Thankfully, he hasn't done this in more than 2 years.
In January of this year, he told me he's not as sexually attracted to me because of a fight we had during our 2021 Cancun getaway. The trip was supposed to be our honeymoon, but COVID messed up and delayed wedding plans (probably for the best).
I'm sorry readers, but I feel that I need to explain the vacation fight because of the damage it dealt.
We were at a swim up pool bar in Cancun. A group of women had asked me to take their picture. I responded that maybe my BF should take it because he's taller. I hadn't been drinking, but BF was tipsy at the time. After he snapped the picture, I had gotten out of the pool to get more sunscreen and use the restroom.
When I returned, BF said the woman he took the picture of was having a hard time getting the bartender to notice her. His resolution was telling her to put her boobs on the bar. To me, this meant fully whipping out the girls. He was laughing and couldn't understand why I didn't find it funny. I tried asking him to go back to the room for us to talk it out ,but he was mad, refused to go with me. Since he wouldn't talk with me, and he became even more intoxicated while I was gone, I immediately went back to the condo. Meanwhile, he proceeded to drink more and more and more. After several hours, he stumbled back into the condo, grabbed all the cash in the safe, told me he was going to a party , and broke off our engagement. He left me crying on the floor of the Cancun condo, my first time ever out of the country, and I was totally alone. Through the years he refused to apologize for hurting my feelings while in Cancun. It caused me to carry emotional pain, lack of trust, and the ordeal dealt a blow to our relationship.
Flash forward to 2023, we finally walked/talked thru the entire Cancun events. Turns out he didn't realize I wasn't even in the pool when the boob ordeal happened. I didn't see she didn't bare her breasts. He said that his suggestion meant for her to show her cleavage on the bar not whip them out like I had thought . The entire fight was due to a lack of communication.
Even after the discovery of the misunderstanding, he says he is still less sexually attracted to me and that our relationship may never be the same. He still holds this incident against me. I could see if I had made a scene or became violent, but that wasn't the case.
I feel all of this has lead me to suffer BD, constant suspicion, jealousy ,and depression. It's also dealt a hard blow to my already low self esteem.
Our sex life hasn't existed in awhile. I don't even feel comfortable with him looking at me naked anymore. I lock the door when I shower and first get under the covers if I'm getting undressed in bed. I'm so afraid he's mentally comparing me to other women has has seen and I'm coming up short.
Asking him to leave isn't so easy because my children are attached the BF. They were in grade school when their father, my husband of almost 11 years, passed away. I don't want them to go thru another loss and lose the stability BF brings them.
I must mention that he does go way above and beyond for me and my children. He takes us on great vacations, pays half of any house project (house is solely mine and he's easily sank over $40k into it), put $4k down when I purchased a brand new car, constantly stocking fridge with groceries, paid for me to get silicone implants, spends time with the children, and more.
I'm just at a loss. I feel hopeless. I feel sad. He does have a very caring side, but I don't know if it's enough to balance out his other side.
I am finally returning to therapy tomorrow after a 5 month break. Even when I was in therapy, my counselor would give me tips on how to learn to love and be kind to myself. She would tell me that the issue is with him and not me. That he could have a perfect 10 and would still be looking at other women...but, as much as I want to remind myself of her advice, it doesn't help.

1- Sukuna: no explanations needed.
2- Gojo: no explanations needed.
3- Sukuna's Mahoraga:
Positives: Way too superior to everyone bellow him stat wise, can one tap domain barriers consistently, has acess to world slash without any step or extra requirement.
Negatives: can be killed if hit with an extremely powerful attack before adaptation is complete.
4- Kenjaku:
Positives: Open domain is a hax too strong to be dealed with by anyone bellow, smartest character of the verse, all around fighter, doesnt fall behind on any attribute, cursed spirit manipulation grants him unmatched versatility, gravity/anti-gravity grant him extremely strong defense, advanced RCT, stated as Impossible to be defeated by the main cast through normal means.
Negatives: As much as he is a complete fighter he cannot hang on the same absurd level as the top 3 due to stat gap.
5- Yuta:
Positives: biggest cursed energy reserves of the modern era, second highest in history as far as we know, versatility matched only by Kenjaku, Rika is one of the most powerful beings on story when it comes to physical stats alone and she always helps him on battles, all around great stats, extremely powerful domain, great battle intelligence and adaptability.
Negatives: there's nothing he can do against an open domain, he have a short ammount of time of 5 minutes to acess his full power so fights need to end quickly.
6- Toji:
Positives: Can do literally everything Maki can but is more experienced, super senses compared to those of an adapted Mahoraga, all around great stats, specially speed which is top 5 of the verse, immune to closed domains, can walk on air, best arsenal of cursed tools in the whole series, Soul Splitter Katana ignores durability and prevents regeneration from anyone who isnt aware of the soul, Inverted Spear of Heaven can nulify any cursed technique upon contact with the user or the technique itself, Chain of a Thousand Miles grants him virtually infinite range, playful cloud greatly boosts his already top tier physical strength, small army of small cursed spirits is great for allowing him to sneak against an enemy mid fight.
Negatives: Presumably not immune to cursed techniques like cursed speech, not immune to open barrier domains.
7- Maki:
Positives: Super senses compared to those of an adapted Mahoraga, all around great stats, specially speed which is top 5 of the verse, immune to closed domains, can walk on air, Soul Splitter Katana ignores durability and prevents regeneration from anyone who isnt aware of the soul, can fight alone against Sukuna for a prolongued ammount of time, strong enough to casually flip Sukuna and throw him around, as well as make Sukuna fly a few meters by hitting him with her shoulder, able to sense and dodge world slash that Sukuna was trying to sneak on her, Kashimo couldnt completely dodge it even with a warning, received a black flash and came back go to the fight minutes later, received a black flash and got hit by restored output dismantles and was fine a few moments later when Sukuna used him domain, successfully ambushed Sukuna twice in a row when characters like Yuta, Yuji, Ino and Kusakabe failed to do so.
Negatives: Isnt as experienced as Toji or have an arsenal as good as his, presumably not immune to Cursed techniques like cursed speech, not immune to open barrier domains.
8- Mahito:
Positives: Top 5 physically strongest characters of the verse, top 5 most durable characters of the verse, one of the smartest characters on the entire series being fast learner and adaptable, very fast on his own right, reaction speed good enough to dodge a strike from Gojo and point blank attacks on his face from ultimate Mechamaru and dodged and outrun Pigeon Viola which should be a feat comparable to base Sendai Yuta dodging and outrunning smaller granite blasts, idle transfiguration is one of the most versatile and lethal cursed techniques of the verse, his invulnerability cannot be bypassed by 99% of the verse and as such most of the characters have no means of beating him.
Negatives: Everyone above him have means to bypass his invulnerability and durability.
9- Yorozu:
Positives: Top 5 fastest characters of the verse, extremely versatile cursed technique, bug armor greatly boost her stats and offers her protection that compensates for her lack of RCT, perfect sphere is the single move with the highest AP in the verse, cursed energy reserves and output on par with the strongest sorcerers of Heian era, outspeeded 15f Sukuna twice in a row once in bug armor, extremely smart, having knowledge oh physics and biology that didnt existed at her time.
Negatives: doesnt have RCT, her cursed technique has efficience problems, cannot bypass Mahito's invulnerability without perfect sphere and her domain can be clashed with his own. Bug armor and domain also get countered Toji and Maki as SSK bypass the durability of her armor and the extremely advanced perception should help them to keep up with Yorozu's speed, perfect sphere + domain doesn't work against them.
10- Yuki:
Positives: top 3 physically strongest characters of the series with her CT, extremely smart in terms of jujutsu knowledge, certain cursed techniques dont affect her due to virtual mass, garuda is a great shikigami that serves as a weapon that can be used for ranged attacks or grab opponents and make them heavier, special grade levels of cursed energy reserves, has RCT, simple domain as well as a domain expansion.
Negatives: the output of her cursed technique immensely decreases upon damage, her durability isnt high and that ended up being her main weakness, she would have an extremely hard time tagging Yorozu, Toji and Maki, as far as we know she cannot damage the soul so she wouldnt be able to bypass Mahito's invulnerability, we have no idea what her domain does.

He stood amidst the bustling crowd, his heart racing with anticipation as he took in the dazzling spectacle of Broadway. Neon signs flashed overhead, casting a kaleidoscope of colors onto the crowded streets below. The air buzzed with energy, alive with the sounds of laughter and music drifting from the nearby theaters.
As he gazed up at the towering buildings, he felt a sense of awe wash over him. This was the place where dreams were made, where ordinary lives were transformed into extraordinary tales of love and adventure. And tonight, he was determined to be a part of it all.
Suddenly, a figure caught his eye—a vision of beauty amidst the chaos of the city. She moved with effortless grace, her eyes alight with excitement as she soaked in the sights and sounds of New York. He felt a surge of courage wash over him as he made his way through the crowd, drawn inexorably toward her.

He felt a knot forming in the pit of his stomach as the battle raged on inside him. He longed for clarity, for a sign to point him in the right direction, but all he found was confusion and doubt.

Eggshells
Her expression was hard to read, a mask of conflicting emotions as she looked at him with a mixture of pity and disgust. "I came to find you," she said, her voice filled with sadness. "I was worried about you."
He felt a surge of guilt wash over him at the sight of her, the reality of his actions crashing down on him like a wave. He knew that he had let her down, that he had let himself down, but he couldn't find the words to apologize.

2024.05.22 20:50 T_S_Anders Pre-War packaged foods cause Ghouls and Ghoulifications

Posting this here since falloutlore won't let me post at all.
I've not seen this mentioned after a few searches on reddit and google as a whole. The theory is as follows.
The cause for Ghoulification is from the massive amount of preservatives in the the various packaged foodstuffs consumed by most Americans in the pre-war world. It's fascinating how so much of the food is still safe for consumptions after 200 years and nuclear devastation. It came to me while reading a study about how chemicals can accumulate in a nursing mother's breast milk and be passed on to their infants when consumed. Lead poisoning is another such instance of build up that can occur. The body recognizes the lead as another chemical and incorporates that into the body. This lead can't get processed and would accumulate, slowly killing them.
I've seen the countless mention of radiation as the cause and even in game sources say as much, but the catalyst always rung hollow as radiation tends to destroy cellular bonds and cause mutations that usually result in death. There's some theories that's it's a side effect of radiation mixed with FeV or even that the mutation of New Plague caused by radiation results in ghoulification. But this is harder to justify when there exist some instances of pre-war ghouls and post-war ghouls who aren't exposed to either.
The one unifier I could see that's capable of causing ghoulification is the radiation mutating whatever preservatives keeps the pre-war food fresh. Imagine if you will, you consume plenty of blamco mac and cheese. Your body incorporates that into your body and then suddenly undergoes a heavy dose of rads. These rads not only destroy the bonds of your DNA but frees it as well. At the same instance the chemicals that preserve the food sees your free DNA as just more organic matter to preserve. As so much of the chemicals persist in your body from consuming it, the rads super charge their effects and effectively flash preserves you. This could explain the desiccated appearance of most ghouls. They're effectively dried, preserved jerky. The same preservatives that keeps food fresh for 200+ years, now keeps a ghoul preserved, with metabolism being driven by radioactive decay, instead of ATP synthesis, that's fairly prevalent throughout the wasteland.
This could explain why some people ghoulify while others just outright die from the radiation. The amount of these pre-war preservatives in their bodies at the time of radiation exposure could be the missing catalyst to so many instances of ghoulification. It would also allow for post-war survivors and descendants to also be affected as there's still tons of these pre-war foodstuffs laying about and often getting scavenged, traded, and consumed, slowly building up in their bodies. As to why vault dwellers don't immediately undergo ghoulification, it's likely their diet consist more on hydroponically or aeroponically grown foodstuff with some of the supply of pre-war food used supplementarily. Given time, the chemicals would slowly get processed out of the human body.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. It'd be interesting to explore this further.

Cursed Technique: Blood Manipulation

Description: Blood Manipulation allows Ratosu to control and shape his blood beyond its natural form for a variety of effects. He can manipulate every aspect of his blood, including composition, plasma, and red blood cells. Both internal and external blood can be utilized, provided it belongs to him. The technique offers numerous combat applications but is limited by the amount of blood he can safely use without risking fatal blood loss.
Blood can be manipulated in a variety of ways utilizing this technique. External blood can be hardened or shaped to create mid-range projectiles. Internal blood can be used to control one's own pulse rate and body temperature, effectively giving themselves more energy to increase their physical capabilities.

Extension Techniques

Slicing Exorcism: Ratosu shapes his blood into various sharp projectiles, such as kunai, shuriken, and chakrams, which he can launch at high speeds to attack opponents from a distance. 2024.05.22 20:15 VirtSeduct 4 VR stations on one router (discharging during play problem)

Hello.
I own 4 Dell Alienware Aurora R7 i7/32G/512+2TB/Win10 GTX1080Ti
There are 2 usb type C ports on each PC, but due to my knowledge, they both doesn't provide power delivery, so I'm not able to charge Quest 2 VR goggles while playing (from what I learned I need 3A charging power for that).
Recently I bought PCIe module, but after installing it and trying it with my phone, it's still wrong for my purpose(I only reach 1,5A with fast cable that reaches 3 or more Amps with my phone charger). PCIe module: https://www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/expansion-cards/ECU03/
Support from one of shops suggested me PCIe module with Thunderbolt 3 or 4, but they are quite pricy and poorly accessible in my area.
I'm wondering what other solutions are available? My thoughts:

I read about external hubs with external power source, but due to my knowledge, they mostly have fast data transfer ports OR fast charging ports (separate ports), so it wouldn't resolve my problem.
I might have optical fiber internet (300mb/s or 600mb/s) with modem specs:

* Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
* 5 GHz, MU-MIMO 4x4 & 2.4 GHz, MIMO 3x3
* USB port compatible with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and USB 1.1
* 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 Gbps)
* TEL port for connecting a VoIP telephone

I'm afraid this setup won't handle 4 players connected via airlink.
