Second Dinner's takes on emotes are too weak

2024.06.01 09:19 Klund234 Second Dinner's takes on emotes are too weak

Asking for a perma-mute option has been a long-running debate. But by now, it is well-known that perma-mute will never be added to the game because it is the only way to communicate in-game.
Honestly, I think if we cannot get the one extreme of eternally muting opponents in-game, we should have the option to go the other extreme: HIGH-SPEED EMOTE SPAMMING.
Hear me out: In a game called League of Legends, players can spam the dance emote to make their in-game character glitch dance moves, forcing the in-game sprite to repeatedly perform a gesture like raising their hand in a short span of time.
At first, we'd think, why do they spam the emote and not let the entire dance animation play out? Because the spammed version of the gesture is funnier and has stronger taunt power. I don't remember the exact moves, but some of them are actually really hilarious.
So here is the thing Second Dinner Team, listen: If ya'll don't want us to perma-mute opponents, then at least allow quick consecutive emote spams to let us have some fun.
I have a really good feature suggestion: instead of clicking on the portrait to use an emote, give us a quick bar with four slots for emotes. I want to spam the fist-bump emote repeatedly after my opponent and I both Snap before ending turn 6. I want to do a x100 Ms Marvel thmubs-up emote combo after getting the 8 cuber. I want to hear the "pop" sound of the emote coming out repeatedly from the loudspeakers on my phone like a machine gun.
Do you know what is even better? Make an emote using the Marvel character with the phatest ass, and make her pose in such a way that her ass is facing us. When this emote is used, it doesn't appear under my player portrait like a speech bubble. Instead, it appears above my opponent's portrait as if that female character is dunking on my opponent's face.
These are what's worth 2200 gold. If my opponent uses this against me, I wouldn't even be mad.

2024.06.01 09:18 Jim__Anchower Pilot Gear Upgrade

Here is an idea, in case the newer players haven't considered it.
However many slots you have for pilot gear, you want the ones with 15% damage. There are also 3 categories for passive skill.
The most ideal is extra damage per wingmen and aircraft shot.
  1. Collect gear from the slot machine when you win them.
  2. Discard all that don't have idea extra damage. Turn them in for towels. (EXCEPT, gear you need for mining: 5% increase tokens collected, 15% increase gold collected, you need a set of that too!)
  3. Merge your best to silver.
  4. Repeat until all your silver gear have top damage.
  5. Merge to gold.
  6. Use towels to upgrade gold to maximum.
  7. Save up gems to upgrade to Elite 5.
This will take a long time unless you get lucky and win them.
Also, during holiday events, save up your tokens that come from the screen attacker with gear that has 5% increase tokens so you get more. You SHOULD be able to rake in enough for 2, possibly 3 pieces of pilot gear each event to select a piece of equipment from the the token shop. Use those until you find something better, sell them for towels later.
As of right now, I have over 10,000 towels from doing this, don't want or need anymore--ever. I keep looking for the unicorn equipment that has all the right damage. If I can't win it, I'll have to try to merge it together the hard way.
Hopefully that gives you a strategy on how to start getting ideal pilot equipment for max power.
✈️ See you in the skies pilots! ✈️

🔗Top-Quality Ultra Pro Thick 55pt Trading Card Top Loaders for Enhanced Protection

https://preview.redd.it/ccl67ewc9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3ed2cae9e8d34f0b17477633ba0b48de3122321
As a collector of various sports cards, I've tried numerous toploaders to keep my prized possessions safe and clean. The Ultra Pro 55pt Toploader had been on my radar for some time, and I finally decided to give it a try.
Upon opening the package, I was impressed by how sturdy and well-built the toploader felt. The clear design allowed me to show off my cards beautifully while still providing ample protection. The 55pt thickness was perfect for my chrome and prism cards, which can be a bit tricky to fit in standard toploaders. There was no more struggling or forcing cards into place.
However, there was one downside to using these toploaders. They were more expensive than some of their counterparts, which made me hesitant to order them in larger quantities. Despite this, I still find the Ultra Pro 55pt Toploader to be a high-quality and reliable product that has become a staple in my card collection.

🔗Ultra Pro 3"x4" Gold Rookie Toploader - Clear, Durable Card Holder with Rigid PVC Construction

https://preview.redd.it/p7pg8ldd9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b22738de37e596cf9e66bb105533eca37f5dae8
I recently added the Ultra Pro 3" x 4" Rookie Gold Toploader to my collection, and I must say, I'm impressed. These rigid plastic enclosures not only protect and keep my Rookie cards clean but also feature a sleek Rookie Card gold foil hot stamp. Made from high impact rigid PVC, these top loaders are super clear and perfect for showcasing your favorite players.
One aspect I enjoyed the most was the packaging, as they arrived promptly and were well protected. I also appreciate that these toploaders are affordable and come in packs of 25, making them a great value for anyone looking to safeguard their collection. There truly is no need to overpay for quality products like these.
Overall, the Ultra Pro 3" x 4" Rookie Gold Toploader has been an excellent addition to my collection, and I highly recommend them to other collectors. Their versatility, durability, and attractive design make them a great choice for any card enthusiast.

🔗Economical 35mm Bulk Film Loader for Photography Enthusiasts

https://preview.redd.it/4jstazpd9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b89305de339103861d74df58fd9ed01c46faf21d
Lloyd 35mm Bulk Film Loader LL01 - A reliable and efficient companion for my 35mm photography journey.
This film loader was a breeze to use - its intuitive design and user-friendly interface made loading and spooling 35mm rolls a seamless process. It accepts one 100' roll of 35mm film, which I could convert into individual cassettes effortlessly. The helpful guide printed on the front of the machine indicated the number of cranks needed to produce rolls of varying exposure lengths.
However, the film loader had its drawbacks as well. The winding handle, which seemed flimsy and poorly designed, caused some concern as it was prone to breaking. Additionally, the locking ring that held the film cartridge in place broke after just four uses, which was disappointing.
Overall, the Lloyd 35mm Bulk Film Loader LL01 proved to be a dependable tool for loading and spooling 35mm film. Despite the issues with the winding handle and locking ring, it ultimately delivered on convenience and saving money with bulk film.

🔗High-Quality Rookie Card Toploader Protector 410 Reloader (35pt)

https://preview.redd.it/v6npxm4e9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=21d25bb9124dc5c968d39ff5a2dfa77ed63ed86e
As a sports enthusiast, I've been using the Rookie Card, 35pt toploaders and they make a perfect addition to my card collection. The design of the holder is quite sleek, and I appreciate the "Rookie Card" label on them, which adds an extra touch of authenticity.
The 35pt toploaders are securely built with PVC and hold the cards snugly in place. However, I find the size a little smaller than I expected, which can make it difficult to fit some thicker cards, but this may vary depending on the type of card you're protecting. Overall, I'd say it's a great product that keeps my precious players safe and organized.

🔗EVORETRO Comic Book Toploader Pack - Lifetime Protection for Comics

https://preview.redd.it/9h95cage9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b3eb96ca945d124fa22258e2853403fa9f845fc
In my quest for the best comic book toploader, I stumbled upon EVORETRO's offering. This pack of 10 top loaders proved to be a lifesaver for my comic collection. The clear material used for these top loaders allows me to easily see the cover art while keeping my comics safe from damage, thanks to their durability and resistance to accidental drops.
However, one downside I noticed was the lack of variety in the sizes offered. While they are great for standard-sized comics, larger issues might not fit comfortably. Overall, the EVORETRO toploader has become an essential part of my comic book storage, protecting my valuable comics while still showcasing their artwork.

🔗Durable 410 Reloader Steel Shot Charge Bar

https://preview.redd.it/m2ep0tse9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c41d7c41269b689a50fd4b415de6d8976990eb53
One cold winter morning, I decided to head to the shooting range to work on my aim with my friends. As an avid shotgun enthusiast, I always ensure to have the right equipment for any situation. On that particular day, my go-to shotgun shell press, MEC Charge Bar Steel Shot 7, proved to be an invaluable asset.
The anodized aluminum charge bars were quick and easy to switch, making it a breeze to adjust the powder charge according to the weather and shooting conditions. One highlight that truly stood out was the soft insert, which prevented the shearing of larger or hard shot, ensuring that my rounds performed consistently and accurately.
However, there was one minor drawback to my experience. At the range, I had a friend who also used a MEC Charge Bar Steel Shot 7. We discovered that the charge bars for lead and steel shot are not interchangeable - a fact that could have confused us both if we hadn't checked the manual first. Nevertheless, this quirk didn't hinder our progress, and we were able to continue enjoying our day at the range without any significant issues.
In conclusion, the MEC Charge Bar Steel Shot 7 is a remarkable tool for both beginning and advanced shotgun reloaders. With its quick-change charge bars, adjustability, and soft insert, it's evident that MEC has put a lot of thought into designing a reliable and efficient product. While the charge bars for different shot types may not be interchangeable, this minor downside doesn't detract from the overall quality and performance of this exceptional shotgun shell press.

🔗Rookie Card Toploader and Sleeve Set for Standard Size Cards

https://preview.redd.it/dowipo5f9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=741644ed789d5896583d2786863f70c61b9d6622
When I first laid my eyes on the Ultra Pro 3" x 4" Rookie Toploader, I couldn't help but appreciate its sleek appearance and sturdy design. As a collector, I've had my fair share of mishaps with standard toppers, but this one seemed to stand out from the rest.
The topper's rigid plastic construction felt reassuring, providing a perfect fit for my standard-sized cards. And with the added protection of the archival-grade, Non-PVC, and Acid-Free sleeves, I knew my cards were in safe hands.
However, the real highlight for me was the exclusive "ROOKIE CARD" hot-stamped gold foil on the toppers. Not only did it add a touch of elegance, but it also made identifying them in my collection a breeze.
While the product's cost seemed a tad higher than my previous toppers, I couldn't help but justify the investment for the added durability and aesthetic appeal of the Ultra Pro 3" x 4" Rookie Toploader.
In conclusion, this product exceeded my expectations in terms of both quality and security. Despite the higher price point, I feel confident in recommending it to fellow collectors who prioritize the protection and presentation of their cards.

🔗Versatile High-Performance 410 Reloader Single Stage Charge Bar

https://preview.redd.it/ox3suhkf9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6f46e6a2685729db09215d30bc49ffafc9fe95e
For the past month, I've been using the MEC Single Stage Charge Bar for my reloading days. This charge bar has been a game-changer in my set-up, providing me with the perfect amount of precision and ease that I've been looking for.
The anodized aluminum build is both sturdy and lightweight, making it easy to handle and maneuver. It also boasts a soft insert design that prevents any damage to larger or hard lead shot, ensuring consistent and reliable performance.
However, there is one downside I've encountered. These charge bars are not interchangeable between lead and steel shots. It would be great if MEC could come up with a solution for this in the future, but for now, it remains a small inconvenience.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the MEC Single Stage Charge Bar. It has made my reloading process so much smoother and more efficient, providing me with a high-quality, long-lasting product that I can't wait to use for many more projects.

🔗Top 50 Size 8 x 10 Photo Mounts

https://preview.redd.it/m1d2jivf9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=862256573718937f38b31495977cb1578103114a
I recently came across these 8x10-sized top loaders, and let me tell you, they've made a significant difference in my photo album game. Perfect for mounting on plaques, these bad boys from Cardboard Gold, Inc.
are a game-changer. The quality is top-notch, and the design is sleek, making them a standout in my collection. However, the only downside is that they're not as versatile as some other options out there.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in the market for a reliable, good-looking solution for your photo albums.

🔗Pro Safe 55pts Trading Card Holders, 410 Reloader

https://preview.redd.it/n73kfqeg9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6618aee82c35e97ea74b9f7478973e81923d740
In my experience, the Pro-Safe 55pt thick toploaders were a game-changer. These trading card holders are designed with thick cards up to 55pts in mind, which I found incredibly useful. The crystal-clear quality of the holders was a sight to behold, making it super easy to showcase my cards without the hassle of cloudy protection.
Made of high-impact rigid PVC, they felt sturdy and reliable, offering peace of mind while handling my cards. Each pack contains 25 holders, which is perfect for bulking up your collection. The dimensions of 3"x4" were just right, allowing me to open on the short side and protect my cards with ease.
Overall, these toploaders were a great addition to my card collection and I highly recommend them for fellow collectors.

🔗Sturdy 8.5"x 11" Toploader Holder for Collectibles

https://preview.redd.it/sv9s1dlg9w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a74efea6adae74a7cf5cf6afe49d70bcba4863d
As an avid collector, I've been using these stunning 8.5"x11" toploaders for a while now, and they have truly elevated my passion project. They're great for mounting on plaques, and the size is just perfect for all that important memorabilia.
I especially appreciate how they make displaying my treasured 410 Reloader prints so much more enjoyable. However, I noticed that they can be a bit tricky to install in certain cases, and their thickness might not be ideal for very thin materials. But overall, these toploaders are a fantastic addition to my collectibles collection, and I couldn't be happier with my experience.

As a photography aficionado, I recently tried out the Arista 35mm Bulk Film Loader, aptly named "Bobinquick Junior. " This nifty tool is perfect for those who love experimenting with different types of film rolls, especially for those who frequently shoot with 35mm film. The device is surprisingly easy to use, even for beginners, and it offers a range of customization options for the number of frames per cassette.
One of the things I noticed right away is the high-quality build, which is an important factor for any photography accessory. The film loader is designed to accommodate all 35mm rolls, up to 30.5 meters in length, making it a versatile choice for various shooting scenarios. Its compact size is also a bonus, as it takes up minimal space in your camera bag.
However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with this device—it doesn't accept Leica reloadable cassettes. While this might be a deal-breaker for some, it didn't deter me from using it with my Nikon and Zeiss film cassettes. The product's integrated fuel gauge, which shows the remaining bulk film in the chamber, is a thoughtful feature that adds to its overall quality.
In conclusion, the Arista 35mm Bulk Film Loader, or "Bobinquick Junior, " is a valuable addition to any photographer's arsenal. Its ease of use, high build quality, and versatility make it a standout product, despite the occasional limitation. If you're a 35mm film enthusiast looking to save on film costs and streamline your shooting process, this product is worth considering.

🔗Ultra-Clear Top Loader: Protect Your 410 Reloaders

From my experience using the Ultra Pro 24 x 36 in Top Loader, it provided a clear and sturdy way to protect and store my collectibles. The high impact rigid PVC material kept dust and dirt out, while the super clear design showcased my posters and photos beautifully.
However, I did notice that the top loader was a bit flimsy compared to a smaller version, which made sliding my collectibles in a bit of a challenge. Overall, it's a useful product that deserves its 4-star rating and 10.0 review score.

🔗MEC Short Kit .410 Converter Kit for 600 Jr. and Sizemaster Shotshell Reloaders

I've been using the MEC Short Kit. 410 Converts in my daily life, and it's been quite the game changer for my MEC shotshell reloader. This kit is incredibly useful when converting my 600 Jr. , 600 Jr. Mark 5, Sizemaster, or Steelmaster reloader to handle shells of a shorter length.
One of the features that stood out for me is its ability to make reloading easier and hassle-free. With its 3" to 2 1/2" conversion kit, it takes away the need for additional tools and effort, which is great for someone like me who doesn't want to spend too much time on the reloading process.
However, I did notice that while this kit is incredibly convenient, it can be a bit heavy to carry around, especially for someone like me who prefers a lighter load. The product weighs around 0.55 oz, which might be a bit of a burden for some users.
Overall, the MEC Short Kit. 410 Converts is a fantastic addition to any MEC reloader, and its pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Vehicle Voltron I: The Mightiest of Saviors Rise Story Treatment
The Logline
In the Near Universe, an experimental carrier-battleship hybrid starship under the command of fifteen crack space explorers from the Galaxy Alliance of Earth comes under assault by the evil Drule Empire. On a faraway planet, they find fifteen vehicles which combine into the evil-fighting giant humanoid robot - Vehicle Voltron.
Main Characters
1) JEFF ♂ - Pilot of the Command Jet Explorer #1 which forms the head of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Jeff Aki Manabu. Being the leader of the entire Vehicle Voltron Force and commander of the Air Team, Jeff is head-strong, occasionally quick-tempered, yet still a great fighter and a very capable leader, even if he does not always follow the rules. During his time at Galaxy Alliance Academy, Jeff was one of the first to ever beat the no-win scenario test entitled the G.A.S. Zodiac simulation - by reprogramming the simulation to make it possible to rescue the ship and its people. A major source of contention with his peers in the Sea Team's Krik and Land Team's Cliff is Jeff's continuous scoffs at no-win scenarios trying to one-up his older sister Janet.
2) KRIK ♂ - Pilot of the Communications Module #6 which forms the torso midriff section of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Krik Miranda Keats. Hailing from the water planet of Dulcinea (Mu Arae c) with a light blue skin tone and pointed ears, Krik is appropriately the leader of the Sea Team. Speaking with an alien dialect (which can be approximated to possibly being played by an Indian), he has clairvoyant powers that tells him when something bad happens or will happen. Of the five members of the Sea Team, it is Krik who keeps a cool head and is quick-thinking when situations call for it – particularly when he is at the receiving end of a gun or when the security of Voltron Force is compromised. He will often share drinks with the others in victory times.
3) CLIFF ♂ - Pilot of the Jet Radar Station #11 which forms the lower torso and hips of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Walter Clifford Jack. An accomplished sportsman and former racing driver who won many circuits in Australian touring car championships before joining the Galaxy Alliance, he can at times be bad-tempered and reckless. Cliff studied at Sydney University before transferring to Galaxy Alliance Academy, where his own nigh impetuousness led to a clash with authorities over the launching (and subsequent crash) of an unsanctioned rocket he built. Hawkins took charge of the situation, steering the interest toward constructive ends, with Cliff now serving with the Vehicle Voltron Force's Land Team. But sometimes he misses the old days of his racing.
4) ZANDEE ♂ - Pilot of the Multi-Wheeled Explorer #10 forming the left lower leg of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Zandee Barros Carateja. Born to a Boston astronomer father and Brazilian mother, Zandee is boyishly handsome, still long in the process of maturing. An unusual combination, he has inherited from his father the mathematical ability and navigation sense from his mother. He is a phenomenally brilliant mathematician and space theorist. But he has also inherited his mother's Latin temperament, fighting what is his perpetual and highly personalized battle with his technology, suspecting that space is engaging in a gargantuan conspiracy to make his professional and personal life as difficult and uncomfortable as possible in both life and love.
5) CHIP ♂ - Pilot of the blue Advanced Recon Helicopter #4 forming the left upper arm of the Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Chipley Yasuo Mutsu Stoker, and the twin brother of Darrell Hiroshi Suzuishi "Pidge" Stoker or "Pidge I", the first Paladin of Lion Voltron's Green Lion of Forest. Chip is very much the youngest member at 13 of the Vehicle Voltron Force. He can best be described as the brains of the Vehicle Voltron Force, much like his brother Pidge I is or will be to the Lion Voltron Force in the Denubian Galaxy (Far Universe). When he is not tinkering with inventions or fawning over technology and displays of data, Chip spends most of his time with Rocky in trying to find suitable soul mates for Jeff, Cliff and Krik so that they can keep all their stress down.
6) MARVIN ♂ - Pilot of the yellow All-Terrain Space Vehicle #14 which forms the right foot of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Marvin Tasuku Izu. A good friend of Hutch's since childhood and both being members of the Land Team, the two can often be seen together, either playing cards or brawling with each other. Marvin is usually comedic, with his sense of humor being on par with that of Shannon and Cliff's in riling up Jeff and Krik. During most of the operations the Vehicle Voltron Force takes part in, Marvin's specialist expertise is in Demolition, Heavy Lifting and Logistics which he sometimes cracks jokes that are sometimes inappropriate only because he is able to do it so well for such a long time. But his jokes have even started to bug Lance.
7) GINGER ♀ - Pilot of the Falcon Jet Fighter #5 which forms the chest plate of Vehicle Voltron. Her full name is Patricia Ginger Ellington. She is a strong and brave pilot, who has always tried to fight the good fight and to this day maintains a distrust of the arrogance of science ever since seeing her family destroyed in an starship crash when she was young. She is smitten towards her Air Team commander Jeff, and the two still maintain a close professional relationship. With that said, she certainly doesn't hide her jealousy when another woman shows any affection towards him, married or otherwise. When not in the heat of battle, Ginger likes to spend her downtime shopping, hanging out with friends, or helping Cinda and Lisa with science and cartography.
8) LISA ♀ - Pilot of the red Space Prober #7 which forms the left thigh of Vehicle Voltron. Her full name is Lisa Haruka Kaga. She is very knowledgeable in ancient cultures, and always seems to know the right thing to say to others. Born on the colony world of New San Diego, Lisa was enamored with the ocean and all its native forms of life at a young age. This led to her entering the 2976 Olympic Games, and at 16 years old, became the youngest human of the Galaxy Alliance era not from Earth to win the Gold medal in the 400 meter backstroke event. Possessing an unyielding affinity for the undersea animals and environment, this makes Lisa a perfect choice for the Vehicle Voltron Force's Sea Team, as she is able to urgently take command if Krik is unable to.
9) CINDA ♀ - Pilot of the Rotating Personnel Carrier #12 which forms the right forearm of Vehicle Voltron. Her full name is Cinda Moya Qiligasz. Like Lisa, she too is kind and emotional, especially when it comes to nature. She is a Dulcinean like Krik, and the two are the main psychics and mystics of the entire Vehicle Voltron Force. It would not show up on Krik's file, but Cinda was often the only friend he had growing up back on Dulcinea, as young Dulcineans have their fears like human children have of monsters under the bed. Krik often had to have his fears reined in by Cinda, who vowed to banish all the monsters from peoples' lives so that they would not have to suffer like both she and Krik had to suffer. Even as an Alliance world, Dulcinea has hard times for Cinda.
10) WOLO ♂ - Pilot of the red Advanced Recon Helicopter #3 forming the right upper arm of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Shota Wolo Kreutz. He is a blue-skinned Galilean of the Galileo (Kepler-451b) system who is a noted scholar of astronomy and has authored several of the most popular accredited astronomy textbooks in use by the Galaxy Alliance. He is a graduate of the Galileo Polytechnic University with an esteemed Doctorate degree in Advanced Telecommunications. Among his friends, Wolo is known to be exceedingly patient, kindly and gracious and possessive of both great intelligence and poise as the gifts he has inherited from his talented mother through which he is able to take charge at times. The kindness comes from helping raise seven sisters.
11) SHANNON ♂ - Pilot of the Multi-Wheeled Explorer #9 which forms the right lower leg of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Shannon Tatsuo Izumo Cochrane. During his childhood, he piloted a deep-sea bathyscaphe to investigate marine farming methods in making food production on various worlds possible. Of all the Vehicle Voltron Force, Shannon tries to keep things from getting too serious by becoming the funny one, which gives him a tendency to get into trouble with Jeff and Krik over his flippant sense of humor. Even so, he chooses to fight for nobler causes than himself, as his brother was just taken to be a prisoner of what will be known as the Drule Empire on its tribute vassal world of Galra (Planet Doom) in the Denubian Galaxy (Far Universe).
12) HUTCH ♂ - Pilot of the black All-Terrain Space Vehicle #15 forming the left foot of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Kazuto Hutch Nagato. A good friend of Marvin's since childhood and both being members of the Land Team, the two can often be seen together, either playing cards or brawling with each other. In contrast to the comedic Marvin, Hutch is a regular tough guy, always looking for a good fight with any Drule that has the guts to challenge him mano e mano. Outside of space missions, Hutch loves to dance, listen to music, and wear the most extravagant clothes around. His strong, muscular build was put to the test during the 2976 Olympic Games, where he won the Gold medal in the weightlifting event to the congratulations of future comrade Lisa.
13) ROCKY ♂ - Pilot of the Strato Weapons Module #2 which forms the upper torso of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Rockford Kai Shinobu. He is the Brooklyn-accented member of the Air Team, usually described by the Galaxy Alliance and by the Drule Empire as the "Hunk" of the Vehicle Voltron Force, which paints a big target on his back for many of the Drule commanders like the Galvestonian Throk in the Milky Way (Near Universe), the Derinja Bi'Os in the Hyperion Galaxy (Middle Universe) and the Galran Prince Lotor in the Denubian Galaxy (Far Universe). He did not have much family growing up, so the chance to have a spiritual little brother in Chip gives him something missing from his life. He joined the Alliance to be able to make a chart of all the stars.
14) TANGOR ♂ - Pilot of the blue Space Prober #8 which forms the right thigh of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Saluta Tangor Katz. He is as dedicated to his calling of serving the Galaxy Alliance on Vehicle Voltron Force as any of his shipmates. His off-duty demeanor is at times much less boisterous than most of his male colleagues, indulging in painting and playing the piano. Tangor has, in fact, composed a great deal of lounge tunes on the piano to play so to keep his shipmates relaxed and escape boredom. Some of his tunes he is compiling to be sold as an easy listening album. His and Wolo's species is the blue-skinned Galileans from their planet Galileo (Kepler-451b), who are very noted for their appreciation of the finer arts that speak to the soul about existence.
15) MODOK ♂ - Pilot of the Armored Equipment Carrier #13 which forms the left forearm of Vehicle Voltron. His full given name is Modok MacKenzie "Mack" Chucker. He is one of the few eldest active members of the Vehicle Voltron Force. Stern and serious, Modok focuses on the task at hand above all else. He acknowledges that his gruff approach can lead to conflict with the younger crew, though he always means well, and just is out to ensure their mission is accomplished successfully, safely, and professionally. When not on assignment, Modok is a self-described gentle giant like Rocky from the Air Team who likes to find a secluded spot outside the G.A.S. Explorer/Rugger Guard on planets and spend a day fishing and cooking whatever fish are caught.
16) HAWKINS ♂ - Age: 54. Acting Commander of the Vehicle Voltron Force stationed aboard the new Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer (the pride of the Galaxy Alliance's project code-named Rugger Guard). His full title is Commander James Shinji Ise Hawkins of the Galaxy Alliance. While it is Commander Hawkins who gives all the orders to the Vehicle Voltron Force, he is Executive Officer who answers to Captain Newley on the mission of the Explorer. When it comes to saving lives, Hawkins is always deadly serious - but subtly cracks a joke every now and then. He's so dedicated to the mission that he constantly remains on assignment, and has very little time for recreation, much to the disappointment of his gentler and relaxed commanding officer Newley.
17) NEWLEY ♂ - Age: 58. Captain of the Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer who is the Commanding Officer of and a good friend to the Vehicle Voltron Force's Commander Hawkins. His full title is Captain Richard "Dick" Asimov Newley. He regards all the members of the Vehicle Voltron Force as replacements for the son he had lost in battle, and sorely regrets his son's death in battle near planet Likon, along with the apparent death of Jeff's older sister Janet who represented him in court martial over cheating to win the G.A.S. Zodiac scenario, but was lost in a training accident. As a child, he was told of the story of Voltron and became intrigued with the prospect of finding it and bringing it back. Now it seems like that dream shall come true at last down on Likon.
18) PAGE ♂ - Age: 56. Science Officer of the Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer. Though originally an aerospace engineer (albeit an unsuccessful one), he becomes the ship's primary medical officer. He is good humored and always willing to give advice, but he can become deadly earnest when chiding others' behavior. His full title is Professor Michael Search Page. He frequently sips up coffee whilst moving around speaking at an extremely accelerated rate. Despite his bumbling nature, he is actually very wise and knowledgeable, choosing to learn from mankind's past mistakes so that they won't happen again in the future. Page believes that knowledge is the most powerful weapon from any species' history and seeks the knowledge of the universe for this goal.
The Background
Long in the past of the Milky Way Galaxy, the fifteen-piece fighting humanoid robot known as the Vehicle Voltron was known as Dairugger XV by the peoples of the planets the robot visited. Dairugger XV or Vehicle Voltron was a sentient being, renown across the galaxy for its feats of heroism and bravery. Ultimately, this led to Voltron developing something of an ego, as it challenged both a reincarnated wicked Zaar King Drolmacht Dolmen and the goddess Arcadia to battle it for supremacy. Arcadia, having sensed the egotism brewing in Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger XV out of simple ignorance of its own power and not out of sinister malice, defeated but spared the robot as she pondered what punishment would do it best to teach humility/sportsmanship.
In a rage, the dying King Drolmacht disguised himself as Arcadia and tried to destroy Voltron while succeeding at slaying Arcadia. With her last acts, a mortally injured Arcadia managed to save Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger XV by splitting it back up into its fifteen component space vehicles - five joining into the airborne Strato Fighter the Kurugger, another five forming the submersible Aqua Fighter the Kairugger, and another five forming the ground-hugging Turbo Terrain Fighter or Rikurugger - that when all are combined together form Voltron. They were flung through space until they crash-landed on the uncharted planet known as Likon. It is here that the fifteen vehicles will rest until the arrival of the Zaars' posterity in the form of the Drule Empire of Galveston.
The Premise
Historically, the Vehicle Voltron Force story arc of Voltron: Defender of the Universe was adapted from the 1982 anime series Armored Fleet Dairugger XV - but was adapted to be part of a much bigger storyline. We start the Voltron story as a Asimovian science fiction story that is about how the titular machines came to be, used to solve problems, and how their presence affects people for good or ill. Taking the team of heroes premises of the Japanese Super Sentai/Power Rangers series, the galactic journey of Star Trek, the swashbuckling adventure and journeys of Horatio Hornblower, and the appeal of robots found in both the Gundam and Transformers franchises, Voltron is ready to launch with the debut film of a potential cinematic universe of science fiction.
In this four-quadrant five-act mecha science fiction epic, the Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer launches from Earth in the year 2981 on its mission to chart the Milky Way Galaxy and to find new planets for the Alliance to colonize or terraform to solve problems of scarce food and water supplies as well as both overpopulation and resource depletion. They are forced to land and make repairs on the planet Likon by the forces of the Drule Empire of Planet Galveston, when fifteen of its primary space explorers find fifteen space-worthy ships able to join together to form the mythical Vehicle Voltron - Defender of the Near Universe. Can they join together to stop a Drule attack that threatens a peaceful planet? It may lead to war, but also a step towards evolution.
The Nemeses (The Galvestonian Drule Empire of Planet Galveston)
Aside from normal human squabbles and quandaries that face teams of people trying to survive in the hostile universe, Vehicle Voltron and its team of pilots have to contend with the new horrible menace threatening the Milky Way Galaxy. Many of the Galvestonian Drules of Planet Galveston (also called the Drule Homeworld) fit the tradition of the classic "empire of evil". Most of the Drules are humanoids with light purple skin and red eyes. With fleets of starfighters and space battleships; as well as armies of tanks, super soldiers and Robeast mecha monsters, Galvestonian Drules are aimed at making the Drule Empire a major if not the superpower in the Milky Way Galaxy controlling hapless innocents, with only the Voltron Forces daring to stand in their way.
1) ZEPPO ♂ - Age: Late 40s/Early 50s. Species: Galvestonian Drule. Homeworld: Galveston (Drule Homeworld). Eye Color: Red. His full title is Emperor Zeppo Corsair of Planet Galveston. Like many a major and admittedly rather incompetent dictator, Zeppo rules the Empire with the fists of iron fury, sending others to do his dirty work and harshly punishing those who fail him. With how abusive and destructive he can be towards his many subordinates on a bad day, it is practically insane that there have not been attempts to overthrow him as of yet. A complete and utter sadist by inclination, Zeppo is willing to send his forces to capture slaves from other worlds and force slaves of his own people to fight to the death. His tyranny is only egged on by his followers.
2) ROBEASTS - Wherever one goes in the Empires of the Drules, there will always be such things as Robeasts to challenge the Voltrons and threaten the peace of the Near, Middle and Far Universes. Robeasts from Galveston (Drule Homeworld) sent to battle the Vehicle Voltron are humanoid monsters created through more advanced science and technology, most often from the prisoners of war that are reared in Zeppo's sadistic gladiatorial combat, though some of them are simply giant robots piloted by Centurion troopers. There is often a platoon of fifteen robeasts ready at a moments notice to travel with fighters, tanks, space battleships and or Centurion armies to lay siege to whatever may get in their Empire's way. The Vehicle Voltron Force must take great care.
3) THROK ♂ - Age: Late 60s. Species: Galvestonian Drule. Homeworld: Galveston (Drule Homeworld). Eye Color: Red. Hair Color: White. His full title is Viceroy Throk Al Caponero. Possibly the worst of the worst, Throk is at bitter ends with Hazar, and the loyalest supporter of Emperor Zeppo. It is often rumored that Throk is the one stroking Zeppo's ego to throw him off the scent of Throk's own attempted bids at becoming Emperor of the Drules. A natural-born kiss-up and backstabber, he lives for nothing more than destroying any "invaders" that could make a pass at the Empire and generally making Hazar and his followers out to look like fools, imbeciles and other pejorative words not to be listed. But it is his lust for power that makes Throk underestimate foes.
4) CENTURIONS - Say hello to the mixed organic and cybernetic shock troopers of the Drule Empire. They all serve as the central backbone of the Drule military forces. Their drones have no built in weapons, instead using the same weapons as their mainly organic counterparts. Drones are capable of squad-level infantry tactics and understanding vocal commands. These androids can somewhat resemble fellow Drules, appearing to wear this green-purple armor. In fact, some of the living soldiers appear identical to their own Drones. In addition, Drule Drones can be used for scouting environments full of every kind of hazards, are more durable, and have no fear of utter destruction to claim victory for Zeppo and the Empire. Some are known to pilot their Robeasts.
5) HAZAR ♂ - Age: 40s. Species: Galvestonian Drule. Homeworld: Galveston (Drule Homeworld). Eye Color: Red. Hair Color: White. His full title is Chief Commander Hazar Dorita Teles of the Galvestonian Drules. Hazar is an athletic fellow, able to dodge and move around quickly to evade attacks. This is despite his large size, topping at about six and a half feet. Unlike most other fleet and army commanders in the Empire of the Drules, Hazar is often a composed and rational figure who never has a bad word to say about any of his underlings. He is his own worst critic, as inside, he frequently doubts himself on whether an action he or the Empire takes is right or at least justifiable. Due to this, Robeasts and Centurions alike find him to be more approachable than Throk.
The Heroes and the Twist
Each member of Vehicle Voltron's three teams (Air, Land and Sea) of a super force of space explorers is meant to be reflective of aspects of ourselves that we all have been at some point in our lives - a class clown, a lone wolf, a young genius, a tough guy who is also a mediator, and that young person destined for life greater than their own backyard. At the beginning of the story, the three team leaders Jeff, Cliff and Krik all function as the Id/McCoy (Cliff), Ego/Kirk (Jeff) and Superego/Spock (Krik) found in the Freudian psyche. It is what they learn from each other that they all have to pass down to the other four members of their respective teams in order to effectively come together and operate Vehicle Voltron to save both the Galaxy Alliance and planet Galateia.

Each heading displays the number of titles for each game type, and each game tile also reveals the game developer.
I was particularly impressed with the extensive help & FAQ section. This answered most of my questions without needing customer support, with walkthroughs and tips for various games. The bonus requirements were also easily visible.
My first impressions were that Super Slots is at the forefront of modern-casino web design, perhaps due to this casino being only a few years old. That said, I did find the basic purple color scheme to be quite plain. Highly functional, but not particularly exciting.

Super Slots Casino

There are over 470 game titles at Super Slots Casino, including 382 slot titles. These come from leading developers including BetSoft, Nucleus Gaming, Dragon Gaming, Rival Gaming, and more.
I was very impressed with the casino offering, which featured lots of variety in slot titles, table games, and virtual cards, amongst others.
There are also two live dealer casinos, split between Red Casino by Visionary iGaming – which also includes some virtual casino games – and Black Casino by Fresh Deck Studios.
I found this to be a comprehensive casino offering.

Slots

I saw 364 slot titles in the main casino, plus an additional 18 titles in the Red Live Casino, from six different developers. There was plenty of variety to keep me entertained, covering 3-reel and 5-reel slots, classic and modern themes, with both progressive and traditional jackpots on offer.
Furthermore, I noticed regular free spin bonuses. Quite simply, I thought this was a fantastic slot option that more than lives up to Super Slots’ namesake.
Here are some popular real money slots titles at Super Slots:
  • Golden Dragon Inferno (RTP = 96.41%)
  • Wilds of Fortune (RTP = 96.33%)
  • Genies Riches (RTP = 94%)
  • Primal Wilderness (RTP = 95.28%)

Blackjack

I loved the blackjack offering at Super Slots, which was more extensive than most competitors.
There were 17 blackjack titles in all – 14 in the normal casino and another three in the Red Live Casino, covering a wide range of variations from single and double deck blackjack to pirate 21.
The detailed blackjack walkthrough in the help section was very useful – laying out blackjack basic strategy, rules, and variations.
One standout feature was the Blackjack Tournament. This included free-to-play tournaments to test your skills – making it perfect for novice and less-experienced players. Meanwhile, the real-money tournaments come with cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for the top players.
This was an exciting new dynamic as I played against other players on the leaderboard for the big pot.
This is a must-visit for any virtual blackjack fan.
The game titles include:
  • Single Deck Blackjack
  • Multi-Hand Blackjack
  • Pirate 21
  • Double Deck Blackjack

Table Games

The selection of alternative table games was a very pleasant surprise – with these games sometimes neglected by casino rivals. I counted 15 roulette titles, two craps titles, four baccarat titles, three keno titles, and a host of other alternative and specialty games.
The number and variety of table games really helped keep the casino fresh for me once I had my fill of the slots/blackjack/poker titles.
For those unfamiliar with these alternative games, there are overviews and strategy guides for games including craps and baccarat.
Table games included:
  • Multihand Casino War
  • Andar Bahar
  • Teen Patti
  • Three Card Rummy

Video Poker

Overall, I thought there was a great video poker offering at Super Slots, with 15 virtual poker titles. Super Slots has four classic variants of this game, including Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild.
However, for me, it was in the alternative poker variants that Super Slots stood out from the crowd. I found eleven alternative variants, from Texas Hold ‘Em, to Pai Gow and Tri Card Poker.
The poker alternatives include:
  • Let It Ride
  • Tri Card Poker
  • Pai Gow
  • Caribbean Poker
  • Texas Hold ‘Em
  • Oasis Poker
  • 6Up Pocket Poker

Super Slots Live Dealers

Super Slots has excellent live dealer casino options, thanks to two separate live casinos.
I saw 10 blackjack live games, along with four roulette, two baccarat, and super 6 games at any one time in the Red Casino by Visionary iGaming.
Meanwhile, I counted 12 blackjack games, 1 baccarat, and 3 roulette live games in the Black Casino by Fresh Desk Studios.
Besides the live dealer aesthetics, there are several main differences between the two.

Red Casino

Red Casino contains 36 virtual casino game titles alongside live dealers, and you can play virtual mini-games within the live dealer games while you wait for a table.
https://preview.redd.it/cbju7l6lxv3d1.jpg?width=790&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e2a1186ef0f0a74666ec5ff4cb48bc36b414bdc
I found the Red Casino has many opportunities to bet-behind on other players’ cards. Some of the games also have unlimited seats.
Red Casino buy-ins range from $5-5,000.
I thought these features were perfect for more casual players seeking some variety.

Black Casino

As a lover of blackjack, I was particularly impressed with the Black Casino. Black Casino is clearly geared toward committed card players.

The minimum buy-in was $10, although most games require $25 or $50 minimum buy-ins, with the range going all the way up to $20,000 for the most serious card players.
I would not venture into Black Casino without knowing what you’re doing. But it’s a great option if you are chasing serious money.

Super Slots Bonuses

I found a good range of online casino bonuses at Super Slots, including welcome, crypto, and referral bonuses, alongside free spins, competitions, and rebates.
The lack of a loyalty program was disappointing, and the rollover requirements are high compared to some competitors.
The bonus requirements were clearly visible – with no attempt to hide the small print.

Welcome Bonus: Up to $6,000 total

The welcome bonus is spread across the first six deposits, which is worth up to a massive $6,000 in total.
On the first deposit (SS250) you can claim 250% up to $1,000.
On the next five deposits (SS100) you can claim 100% up to $1,000.
Conditions:
  • Minimum deposit = $20
  • Rollover = 35x
  • Need to claim winnings within 30 days
  • Only valid for certain games titles
  • Not valid in live casino

Crypto Bonus: 400% up to $4,000

The crypto bonus is very high value, worth 400% up to $4,000 on your first crypto deposit. Be warned though – the rollover requirement is very extensive.
Conditions:
  • Minimum deposit = $20
  • 48x rollover
  • Need to claim winnings within 30 days
  • Only valid for certain games titles

Referral Bonus: 20% up to $200 + 50 free spins

The referral bonus matches many competitors and has a very low rollover requirement to claim. You get 20% up to $200 on your referral’s first deposit, plus 50 free spins.
Conditions:
  • Referral must rollover at least equal to the deposit

Weekly Rebate: 10%

The weekly rebate is there to soften the blow if you go on a losing streak. You can reclaim up to 10% of your losses, from Monday to Friday.
Conditions:
  • Up to a maximum of $250
  • You must have lost at least $1,000 that week
  • Can only be claimed once a week
  • 40x rollover

Refer a Friend

The refer-a-friend bonus is a great way to earn free spins and bonus cash to strengthen your bankroll even more. In Super Slots, you can enjoy a bonus of 200% up to $200 and 50 free spins on Take Olympus for recruiting a new member.
Conditions:
  • The bonus is issued after the referred player’s initial deposit is rolled over 1x or the initial deposit has reached the 30-day hold time.
  • The bonus is issued weekly, every Tuesday.

The Best Super Slots Bonus Codes

These are the best deals currently found at Super Slots. If a code is needed you will find the Super Slots bonus code in the third column. If a code isn’t needed you will simply need to click to claim the offer.

Rollover and Playthrough Requirements at SuperSlots.ag

You know the old saying, “There is no such thing as a free lunch.” This adage rings true when it comes to wagering and rollover requirements at Super Slots online casino. If Super Slots bonus codes could be used and instantly cashed out, the site would go out of business.
Rollover is the number of times each bonus dollar is expected to be played before it is eligible for a withdrawal. A bonus offer with a 10x rollover means that the player has to risk the equivalent of 10x their initial deposit. Only then can they collect their payout.
If these requirements were not put into place by Super Slots and every other online casino, people would be joining just to claim their welcome bonus offer and run off with the money.
Rollover ensures that the money is actually played through the gaming machines, allowing games to get their fair share of use. Rollover also allows the casino to make a profit.
For more information on rollover requirements, visit SuperSlots.ag and check out the promotions page. All terms and conditions are listed, including information with regard to rollover.

Super Slots Mobile Experience

https://preview.redd.it/bxvwguu2yv3d1.jpg?width=641&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab3fe24824262696866c9795120426c35de85929
I found Super Slots operates seamlessly on mobile devices thanks to its sleek modern design, with full access to all the game titles.
There is no need to download anything – just simply hop onto your mobile web browser.
Unlike some older casinos, Super Slots was founded in the mobile gambling era, as the website is fully designed with this in mind.

Super Slots Banking Options

I found Super Slots to be a standout option in terms of the range of payment methods accepted – for both crypto and alternative methods.
There are a total of 18 different crypto methods available, exceeding many competitors. As with most online casinos, crypto methods have higher deposit and withdrawal limits, have faster processing (all within 48 hours) and no fees.
In addition, all the main traditional methods are accepted, including credit cards, checks, cash, and wire transfers. These methods do carry some withdrawal fees and lengthier processing times.
However you like to pay and receive money, Super Slots has you covered.
https://preview.redd.it/0oko7ca7yv3d1.png?width=1222&format=png&auto=webp&s=d727651a08baa88eab3101d60c8617fb8c474b7b

All crypto payouts take less than 48 hours and have no fees. Traditional payouts take anywhere from 5 to 15 business days depending on method. Traditional payouts also carry fees that vary depending on withdrawal amount.

Super Slots Customer Support

I found only two options for contacting customer support at Super Slots – email and live chat.
The live chat operators were quick-to-respond and courteous. When inquiring as to the RTP for slots titles, the operator actively followed up with their support team to help me out.
I was very impressed with the FAQ and help sections, which were well organized and answered most of my queries eliminating the need to speak with anyone.

Safety and Security at Super Slots

Although only founded in 2020, Super Slots has a solid background. It has a Panama Gaming Commission license, operates with tried-and-trusted gaming developers, and utilizes industry-standard SSL data encryption technology.
I had no problems with monetary transactions. Despite its youth, Super Slots is safe and secure, with a good reputation.

Final Verdict on Super Slots: 4.5/5

You will find few other casinos that match Super Slots for their number and variety of slots, blackjack, virtual poker, and alternative table game titles. For casino-lovers, the bonuses are high value, although you may find the rollover requirements excessive if you are a casual player. I loved the flexibility of live dealer options, with Red catering to casual players, and Black to committed card players.
The website design is one of the most user-friendly layouts I have reviewed. Super Slots is also an industry leader in terms of the range of accepted payment methods. All-in-all, I recommend Super Slots as a brilliant all-around casino option.

2024.06.01 06:02 KrazyKilla85 Lenovo Yoga 370

Lenovo Yoga 370
Desktop

Overview

This laptop has been done before, but retired it due to multiple factors preventing it from functioning properly at the time. Then in early 2024, I couldn't deal with Windows 11 running poorly, and with it never supporting Kaby Lake based CPUs, I decided to go back to installing macOS. And with the new knowledge I learned from the last attempt to now.. I can say this is probably my most efficient Hackintosh to date.

Specification

  • Intel i5-7300U 2.6GHz Dual-Core processor
    • Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz
    • Intel HD 620 Series Integrated iGPU
    • 13.3" LED Backlit IPS Touchscreen Panel @ 300nits & 700:1 Contrast Ratio
  • 16GB Single-SODIMM DDR4-2133
  • 256GB Micron 1100 Series (MTFDDAV256TBN) SATA M.2 Drive
    • This is not a NVMe Micron so it is fully functional
  • Intel I219LM4 PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller
  • AzureWave BCM94352Z M.2 NGFF WiFi
  • ELAN-based Touchpad and Touchpoint
    • Touchpoint is disabled
Temperature does not work, which is normal.

What Works

Overall I am very pleased with this system, which I opted to use a MacBookPro SMBIOS due to no Kaby Lake or near KBL based SMBIOS for MacBook Air SMBIOS. Typically in Windows, I normally get about 6-8 hours of battery life under normal usage, despite the brochure states 13hrs of usage. But the battery is degraded to about 92%, and most of the components have aged pretty badly in this model as it is from 2017.
Now the best part. In macOS, I see about a 4-6hr battery life with this machine, which is the most efficient I have seen to date with all my laptops that I have hackintosh'd over the years. The only caveat is that the Touchscreen does not function, and the laptop's Yoga mode does not work in macOS which is expected. However I good amount functions:
  • CPU Control despite MSR 0xE2 being locked in the BIOS
    • Setting Low-Power Mode reduces CPU usage to its base clock speeds (no Turbo Boost)
    • Apple VTD (VT-d support)
  • Patched DMAR Table for functional VT-d
  • Graphics Acceleration with full 8-bit color depth functionality
    • With this, there is no color banding even when the Kaby Lake framebuffer is utilized.
  • Ethernet
  • Wireless
    • iContinuity is partially functional due to this WiFi module not being natively supported
  • SuperIO Readouts are functional - YogaSMC utilized with a SSDT provided by their GitHub page.
    • Battery Readout - With native reporting in macOS
    • Fan readout is also functional with the ability to use manual fan speeds
  • Boot Camp Assistant
    • With the driver ExFatDxe.efi I was able to utilize the Boot Camp Assistant tool to install Windows 10 and the process was nearly automatic. Only thing I had to intervene was booting back into OpenCore, as Windows took over as the primary boot OS upon installation.
    • Despite that, once Windows was installed, the process continued just like an actual Mac and I had a seamless Boot Camp install of Windows 10 on a Hackintosh, with only minor manual intervention
  • Audio Controller
    • Boot Chime is indeed possible but you must make sure to use the 2nd output and convert the boot chime file to 48KHz, as 44.1KHz is not supported in the UEFI firmware.
    • All other Audio functions normally within macOS.
  • Sleep
    • Though I am noticing potential lockups while in sleep and will have to investigate this.
  • Stylus Pen
  • MicroSD Slot
Battery Settings with Battery Health
Sudden spike was the laptop's screen shutting off then waking up.

What Does Not Work

Of course the touch screen does not work, and I have attempted to get this functional, but this causes a hang during boot up as I am using an old version of VoodooSMBus.kext for my trackpad as it is a PS/2 ELAN device, and not the typical I2C based, which the touchscreen is. The USB-C port on the side works but only when a device is plugged in prior to booting macOS as it is a Thunderbolt-based USB-C 3.1 port, so no hot-plug support.
  • Hibernation
  • Touchscreen
  • USB-C (Partially)
  • SIM Slot
    • No WWAN Controller
    • No drivers for WWAN Controller
  • Smart Card Reader

Conclusion

Overall this system is the most efficient and most compatible I have seen in awhile. Even though battery life is still not as high as it is in Windows, it is farther than most of my other laptops I have used in the past. And once I get the sleep issues ironed out, this will probably become my daily driver for when I'm on the go. As always, I do not include an EFI for this setup as it is purely setup for this particular machine, and there is no guarantee that it will work on any other similar machines.

2024.06.01 05:23 FancyInvestment397 Wild Casino Review [Updated June 2024]

Wild Casino Review [Updated June 2024]
Wild Casino transports you to a lush jungle setting with more than 430 casino games for you to explore. The majority of the games are slots, but there’s a great selection of blackjack, table games, specialty games, and a live dealer.
I especially like the one million dollars in tournament prizes given away every month, and the $5,000 welcome bonus and $9,000 crypto welcome bonus add a lot of kick to your bankroll. There are a large variety of banking methods and payouts are complete within 48 hours for most options. The casino has a lot going for it and a few shortcomings, stick with me and I’ll tell you everything I discovered on my jungle adventure.
Wild Casino
Pros
  • Most fun, easy to use games
  • Huge selection of banking methods
  • Several specialty bonus options
  • Good selection of specialty games
Cons
  • No sports betting or poker rooms
  • Not many jackpot games

Wild Casino User Interface

Wild Casino feels like it is set in the jungle. I love how simple it is to navigate and how the theme carries through on every page. The first thing you’ll notice is the rotating banner that prominently displays the welcome bonus and various other promotions.
Game categories are in a menu at the top, or you can scroll and see the games available. The ‘View All’ button reveals all the titles in that category.
An additional navigation menu is at the top of the screen with banking, help, sign-up, and login buttons. A drop-down menu with games, promotions, banking, and help options is on the far right of the screen.

Available Games at Wild Casino

Wild Casino has a great selection of games by software providers Real Time Gaming, Rival, BetSoft, DragonGaming, and Nucleus. There are more than 300 slot titles, table games, blackjack, video poker, and specialty games like scratch cards and Keno.
I particularly like their live dealer platform. It has more than 20 games available 24/7. In addition to blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, it also offers slots, craps, and bingo, which I found to be unique and not typical of other live dealer platforms I’ve reviewed.
Clicking on a game title reveals a short description, volatility rating, and an option to add it to your favorites list. However, a demo feature is not available for all games. I found this quite disappointing because you must wager to play and can’t test games/strategies out for free like you can on many other online gambling sites.

Slots

Wild Casino has 368 slot titles. Slot enthusiasts will find 3-reel, 4-reel, 5-reel, and video slots with multiple paylines, bonus games, and a few progressive titles with big jackpots.
Slot-specific promotions include a weekly 10% rebate for losses up to $250 and a weekly cash slots tournament by invitation.
Here are some of my favorite real money slots at Wild Casino:

Blackjack

Wild Casino has one of the largest selections of blackjack variations of any online casino. There are 14 different blackjack games to play in the casino and more than 15 tables in the duel live dealer section. Whether you’re a novice or a pro, there’s a blackjack game for everyone at Wild Casino.
Here’s a sample of blackjack titles I found at Wild Casino:

Table Games

Wild Casino has a great selection of table games, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, rummy, and craps. It is the perfect place for players who enjoy using strategy to create bigger wins for themselves.
There are more than 30 table games to choose from. Below you’ll find a few table game titles I enjoyed at Wild Casino:

Video Poker

Video poker is another thriving area of the casino. I was impressed with the number of variations available. Video poker players will find more than fifteen different games to pass the time. The selections are split into two categories: Single Hand and Multi-Hand.
Here are a few favorite Video Poker titles at Wild Casino:

Live Dealer Games

The live dealer platform has more than 100 games for players who crave social interaction. Games are available 24/7 and are divided into two sections: the red platform by Fresh Deck Studios and the black platform by Lucky Streak.
Players can customize their experience by choosing their dealer and table setup, creating an experience reminiscent of a land-based casino.
Wild Casino’s live dealer platform is impressive. In addition to typical live dealer games, it offers slots, bingo, specialty games, poker, and more.

Wild Casino for Mobile

Wild Casino is mobile-friendly and compatible with Android and iOS devices. When testing it on my smartphone, it loaded quickly and seamlessly. I did not experience any lags when playing the games which was great. It ran smoothly both on my WiFi and mobile data. It has all the same games and features available as it does on the desktop.

There is no download or app for Wild Casino, you access it by using your browser and a reliable internet connection. If you prefer a casino that has an app to download, you can try Wild Casino’s sibling company BetOnline.
While reviewing the browser-based site from Wild Casino, I paid close attention to its user interface. In this section, we’ll provide you with feedback regarding its mobile compatibility, functionality, design, and more:
  • Functionality: The functionality of the app from Wild Casino was pristine. At no point during my review did I experience any issues with navigation or overall app experience.
  • Mobile Compatibility: I am pleased to report the Wild Casino app is mobile-compatible. That means you can easily use it from tablets and smartphones if you’d like. I tested it out on devices from several manufacturers like Apple and Android and found it worked perfectly on all of them.
  • Download Casino: Luckily, there isn’t a download required to use the app from Wild Casino. Instead, everything is web-based. To use their app, simply point your device’s browser to their main website, and you’ll be ready to start playing casino games online without the need for a software download.
  • Design: The overall design of the Wild Casino app is impressive. I enjoyed the modern jungle-themed look, which helped it to stand out from many other casino apps with more simplistic and dated designs.

Wild Casino Bonuses in 2024

Wild Casino has a variety of bonuses and promotions for multiple games that will add funds to your bankroll and keep you playing through the weeks. There are two welcome offers for newcomers, including one for crypto users, weekly match, reload, and rebate promotions for returning players, contests, featured games, and tournaments.
Note that some bonuses at Wild Casino require bonus codes, while others are added to your account automatically when you opt-in. The codes you need are noted below.
To use a bonus code at Wild Casino, head back to the top of this post and select a bonus to get started. If you are not already a member at Wild, fill out an account sign-up form. Select the drop-down menu off to the top right of the screen and choose the banking and promotions page to claim your bonus and begin inputting your code. Then, make a deposit, and let the fun begin!

Deposits of $150 or more with promo code HUMPDAY2 are eligible for a 50% bonus up to $250. The offer is available up to two times every Wednesday. The first Wild Casino bonus code has a rollover of 15x, and the second is subject to 20x.

Refer a Friend

Earn a 200% bonus of up to $200 for every friend you refer to Wild Casino. Your referral must create a new account and make at least one successful deposit at Wild Casino before you are eligible to receive the bonus.

The Ultimate Spin-Off

This Wild Casino bonus involves players getting a weekly invitation to the $5,000 Cash Slots Tournament. Players must wager on four different days between Monday and Sunday to qualify. They must also generate $4,000 or more in order to place in the Cash Slots Tournament.

Banking Options at Wild

Wild Casino offers more than 15 banking options for both deposits and payouts. Credit cards, cryptocurrency, e-wallets, money orders, and wire transfers are available. Most deposit methods are instant so you can get access to your winnings fast. Payouts with crypto have zero fees and are processed within 48 hours.

Deposits

Here’s an overview of the deposit choices showing minimum and maximum amounts and processing fees. Funds will be available in your account within 15 minutes – two hours which is standard for most online gambling sites. Tip: Wild Casino notes that credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are twice as likely to be accepted when making purchases online.

Wild Casino Customer Support

Wild Casino has two primary ways to get in touch with customer service: email and live chat. When testing the chat feature, I received a courteous and friendly reply within seconds. Email response time was within their 24h, but I would recommend the chat for instant answers.
You can find the chat feature and email information in the Contact Us section at the bottom of the home screen. There’s also a FAQ and Help link that provides detailed information on multiple topics.
Email
Wild Casino customer service and support can be reached only by email at [cssuport@wildcasino.ag](mailto:cssuport@wildcasino.ag). Expect a response within 24 hours or less. There is a link at the bottom of the home page and a Help button in the drop-down menu on the right

Security at Wild Casino

Wild Casino is a safe and secure gambling site. It has a license with the Panama Gaming Commission and uses SSL encryption to keep sensitive user information safe.
All real money games at Wild Casino use random number generators (RNGs) to ensure random results for online games with things like shuffling and dealing cards, the spinning of slots reels and roulette wheels, and dice rolls.
All Wild Casino games have return-to-player (RTP) percentages to ensure customers receive a certain percentage back from the games.

Final Verdict

Overall, I thought the Wild Casino experience was enjoyable. I appreciate the fun theme, and simple design. It was easy to find what I was looking for and it has a great selection of slots, table games, video poker, and blackjack. Their multiple banking options are a plus and I love the abundance of bonuses and promotions.
The only areas Wild Casino falls short are the lack of sportsbook, poker tournaments, and demo mode. If real money casino games are all you’re interested in, Wild Casino is a great choice, but if you’d prefer a casino, sportsbook, and poker tournament site, I suggest checking out BUSR.
All in all, it’s a great gambling site for anyone who enjoys playing slots, blackjack, scratch cards, and live dealer games.

DuckyLuck Casino first launched in 2020 and is licensed by the Curacao eGaming Commission. This casino has more than 430 slot games from 11 different developers.
You can also use DuckyLuck Casino to play video poker, table games, and bingo. It has live dealer games available as well. There is a 500% deposit match welcome bonus that also includes 150 free spins.
For the best rewards though, you will need to be a member of the DuckyBucks rewards program. There are only five withdrawal options, which could be a turn-off for some users.

User Interface

I found the user interface at DuckyLuck very easy to use. There are tabs at the top of the page that allow players to quickly switch between sections such as casino games, promotions, and banking.
The game section is also easy to navigate as games are separated into specific sections like slots and table games. You can even conveniently sort games by their popularity and jackpot options.
DuckyLuck prioritizes functionality over showmanship. I did not have any issues using the site, but I did not find it memorable, either. The deeper you go into the site, the harder it is to identify a theme.

DuckyLuck Casino Games

DuckyLuck offers a decent amount of slots games, jackpots, and video poker options. Really the only area that was a bit lacking was the table games section, but the core options were not too bad.
More specifically, there are 433 slot games available, many of which can be played for free. It offers a good selection of video poker and specialty games. There is even a live dealer game section with blackjack, roulette, and baccarat available.
Each game at DuckyLuck has a helpful information section that describes the game. Players can also rate the game and share comments about their playing experience.
One area that DuckyLuck could improve is its table games section. It lacks video baccarat, craps, and other popular games.
Casino Game Providers:
I really enjoyed the fact that DuckyLuck Casino uses a variety of reputable and trusted online casino game providers. Here are some of the big names that this online casino uses to provide its customers with good, quality gaming:
  • Rival Gaming
  • Betsoft Gaming
  • Spinomenal
  • Saucify
  • Arrow’s Edge
  • Fugaso
  • Felix Gaming
  • Tom Horn Gaming
  • Dragon Gaming
  • Fresh Deck Studios
  • Qora Gaming

Slot Games

DuckyLuck had 433 slot games available at the time of my review. I liked that I could sort games by developer, jackpots, and popularity.
There are 39 slot games that feature progressive jackpots. DuckyLuck has slot games from eight different developers including Rival Gaming and BetSoft.

Table Games

DuckyLuck’s table game section only includes nine games. Of those nine games, seven of them are either roulette or blackjack games. Most of the table games available were developed by Rival Gaming.

Video Poker

I found 14 video poker games during my review of DuckyLuck Casino. Games from developer Rival Gaming once again dominate this section.
There single and multi-hand versions of most games. You are even able to test the games in demo modes before committing any money to them.

Specialty Games

I was impressed by DuckyLuck’s selection of specialty games. There are 19 games available in the “Casual Games” section, which is more than you normally see at online casinos. El Royale Casino, for instance, only has three games in its specialty games section.
The selection of games is varied as well. DuckyLuck offers keno, bingo, and Teen Patti. Teen Patti is a three-card poker game that is popular in South Asia. There are also seven different options for scratch cards available.

Live Dealer

One of the few areas of DuckyLuck that you cannot access without an account is the live dealer casino. This area is provided through Fresh Deck studios. At the time of review, there were 14 live tables available, although this may increase during peak hours. Only paid games are available in this part of the site. Betting limits range from as low as $0.50 to as high as $12,500. There are three categories of games including:
  • Roulette
  • Blackjack
  • Baccarat

Mobile Experience

I was able to access DuckyLuck from my Android phone without having to download any software. The site is also accessible from iOS and Windows devices as well. You can access every game, including live dealer options, from your mobile device.
DuckyLuck.ag does not have an app. All you need to do to get started is open the site in your mobile browser with a stable internet connection.
I did not experience many issues when playing from my phone. Some games took longer to load, but that was the only negative I noticed. The rest of the site worked as well on my phone as it did on my computer.

DuckyLuck Bonuses & Promotions

DuckyLuck does not offer much in the way of typical casino bonuses. There is only one welcome bonus option. Other top sites, like Las Atlantis Casino, have multiple welcome offers for new members to choose from.
The bonuses that DuckyLuck does offer are good. Both the welcome bonuses and the cryptocurrency deposit match offer 500% or more in bonus funds. I did not like that the bonuses had 30x and 40x rollover requirements, respectively.
DuckyLuck also has a rewards program. Existing players need to use the rewards program if they want to earn extra rewards. Otherwise, your opportunities to gain extra funds will be few and far between.

This is the welcome bonus that is available to all new players. New players must make an initial deposit of at least $25 to be eligible for this bonus.

  • Minimum Deposit:$25
  • Maximum Deposit:$500

Players are automatically enrolled in the DuckyBucks Rewards program. Players earn a Level Point for every $20 they deposit. Crypto players get a few more perks. You receive 10% daily cashback on all your crypot deposits, along with faster payouts, lower rates and fees.
Progressing through the DuckyBucks Rewards levels will unlock improved rewards. For instance, everyone has access to the 5% Daily Cashback bonus. But, only Golden Goose level members can get a 395% Daily Reloading bonus.
Below are the various levels of DuckyLuck’s rewards program.

DuckyLuck Social Contests

DuckyLuck offers social contests which isn’t something we see at many other online casinos. By following them on social media, you’ll be first to know when the contests go live. They are usually set to a certain day of the week, and rely on you pausing a video on a specific image. If you pause the video on the winning image and post a screenshot in the comments, you’ll win 25 free spins for the given slot. You’ll find these contests across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, so it’s worth giving this casino a follow!

Banking Options at DuckyLuck Casino

I was happy to see that DuckyLuck offers 13 different deposit methods. This allows players plenty of options to choose from when making a deposit. I was less pleased to discover that DuckyLuck only has five withdrawal options.
Upon closer inspection, I found that only three methods are available for US players. Bettors in Maryland and Washington only have one withdrawal method, Bitcoin, available.
The minimum withdrawal amount for most methods is $25. Most options also have a maximum withdrawal amount between $150 and $2,500.

DuckyLuck Deposit Methods

The strength of DuckyLuck’s banking methods lies in its deposit options. There are 13 methods to choose from, but some are only available in specific regions.

DuckyLuck Payout Methods
The payout methods at DuckyLuck are more limited compared to the depositing options. This is one area where I feel this casino misses the mark. Increasing the withdrawal options would make it easier for players to enjoy their winnings.
I was also disappointed to see that withdrawal times depend on your VIP level. Standard players may have to way up to 120 hours to receive funds. VIP Crypto high rollers on the other hand can receive their funds within 48 hours.

DuckyLuck Customer Support

DuckyLuck only offers two options for contacting customer support. Players can use the live chat feature to speak to a representative. Or you can send an email to customer support.
  • Live Chat. This option is available 24/7 and there is a small speech bubble icon at the bottom right corner on every page of this online casino. Simply click on the icon and get in touch with a customer service representative.
  • On-Site Contact Form. This option is in lieu of an email address. The generic contact form allows customers to write out any sort of questions, comments, or concerns and send them directly to DuckyLuck’s customer service. Customers can expect a response within 24 hours or less using this method.
  • FAQ Page. The FAQ page can be accessed at the bottom of every page under the “More Info” section. DuckyLuck’s FAQ page addressed a wide range of topics including banking methods, game rules, and the casino’s terms and conditions.

Safety & Security

DuckyLuck Casino requires players to verify their identity before making a withdrawal. This ensures that you are the only person taking money out of your account.
This casino is licensed by the Curacao eGaming Commission. DuckyLuck uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software to protect players’ personal information.

Final Verdict: 4/5

DuckyLuck casino has a lot to offer. Their game variety is one of their top selling points, with a good selection of slots, video poker, speciality games and a robust live dealer section.
For those who love online slot games, their library of over 400 titles from 8 different developers is a big bonus. They also offer a range of exciting bonuses and competitions ranging from social contests to rewards programmes.
DuckyLuck accepts cryptocurrency, which is a huge plus in my book. They offer a ton of rewards for crypto bettors, too, including exclusive bonuses and faster payout speeds.
I was a little disappointed by the limited payout options offered by DuckyLuck. Also, I would have liked to see more than just nine options in the table games section.
Overall, DuckyLuck provides the entertainment I’d expect from a good online casino. I give DuckyLuck four out of five stars.

Alternate Really Acolytes: Introduction
Ancient legends from thousands of years’ past once told of a magical portal that resided in a forest in the north. A tale that a portal as black as night which bore three rings on its frame would sing a song of chaos before unleashing forces of calamity upon the world. While this portal was easily found, every attempt to destroy the ruinous portal was left unsuccessful. Heroes’ swords would shatter upon its cold, metallic frame. Dwarven forged magma would cool instantly upon contact. No form of magic could move, much less scratch it. In the end, instead of attempting to destroy the device, researchers studied it in an attempt to reduce the damage of whatever could come from the other side.
Countless centuries had passed. The building that surrounded the portal had changed several times, from a temple of worship, to an altar to appease the unknown gods beyond, to a facility of study. Scholars, researchers, and the top scientists have come and gone. Even to this day, nothing could be figured out about the device. Its metal was stronger than any alloy ever known and its makeup couldn’t even be determined. The runes on its rings were never translated, for no correlation could be found from any written language. As time went by, people gave up and soon after, the legend fell into obscurity, the protection spells cast upon and around the portal had expired long ago, and the world forgot about the calamity that was supposed to come. The facility that now housed the ruins had fallen into disarray long ago. The only thing that remained the same was the black sheen of the portal’s rings, unmoved, untouched, and unchanged.
One day, a group of juvenile kids broke through the rusted doors of the facility, “You sure you know where we are going?” one of the kids, a teenage human boy, asked, “You said we’d find an ancient artifact, but all I’ve seen so far is a bunch of junk machinery.”
“Quit complaining,” a young elf boy replied, “I’ve been exploring this place for about a century and the building has been abandoned for longer. The artifact can’t be moved at all, so it’s not like it’s going to have gone anywhere.”
“So, what are we going to do with it that hundreds of adults haven’t done?” a tiefling girl questioned, “It’s not like we’ve got the ability to do much, Jaz. Seriously, only one of us is from a sorcerer bloodline, and he’s the youngest of us three.”
“That’s exactly why I brought him with us Tal,” Jaz brushed the comment aside as he shoved a sliding door back into its socket, “Erick isn’t just from any old sorcerer bloodline, but from a wild magic bloodline. While most people claim that there’s only a select amount of reactions that could happen when magic goes wild, my grandfather claims that to be untrue, so we’re going to test that theory tonight.”
The three trekked through the ruins of the derelict testing site, passing by multiple research halls and storage facilities holding ancient machines, artifacts, and constructs from generations’ past. Along the way, Erick spoke up, “Even if we do manage to activate the portal, what do you expect to happen? Wasn’t there an old tale of the portal bringing calamity?”
“Oh please,” Jaz waved Erick’s concerns aside, “That crummy old legend is so long overdue. If the portal was to bring the end times, it would have been done by now. I’m sure whatever that was supposed to come about had already done so before the legend was even created.”
“So, we’re opening a portal to a realm where an old disaster came from. I highly doubt anything would go wrong with that idea,” Tal mocked sarcastically.
“Sheesh, no one here has that spirit of adventure that we had five years ago, I see,” Jaz huffed to himself.
Eventually, after passing through expansive corridors, the three made it to the center of the building, coming across a pair of bunker doors, “Oh, wow. Looks like a portal, alright,” Tal deadpanned.
“Jeeze, no need to be an ass about it. I saw the portal frame beyond these doors by looking through reinforced glass on the sides of the room,” Jaz retorted.
“So why aren’t we going through those rooms instead of trying to bust our way through a heavy set of doors?” Tal asked.
“Because those pathways are nothing but catwalks above a pit I can’t even see the bottom of. And if I recall correctly, explosions tend to not be good on catwalks, and none of us can fly.”
“So we are getting through this door… how?”
Jaz smirked, “That’s where you come in. You know how your infernal powers are extremely potent? Strong enough to melt that old bunker tank we found a few months ago with ease?” Tal thought back to that moment and recalled how she melted a tank in several seconds while her other tiefling friends struggled to even warp the plating. “Well, if it’s strong enough to melt a tank, I’m sure it’s strong enough to melt a door. So give it a crack.”
“Fine, I’m not sure how well this will go, but I’ll give it a shot.” Tal passed by Erick and Jaz before stopping in front of the right bunker door. She rubbed her hands together before placing them on the metal front of the door, focusing on channeling her innate magic through her hands. Slowly, the area of metal she was pressing against started to give off heat, even turning red before Tal began to sweat from straining herself. With a gasp, she let go of the door, a faint pair of handprints barely indented the door, “That’s all I got. We ain’t getting through.”
“Seriously, Taffy? That’s all you got?” Jaz blurted out.
“Hey! Don’t call me Taffy! You know I hate that name!” Tal shot back.
“Oh, yeah? What are you going to do? Taffy!” Jaz mocked, “Ta-” he was interrupted by a fireball flying at him. Jaz barely ducked out of the way, singing his hair almost to the roots, leaving a giant hole in his hair and a large scorch mark behind him. “Oh it’s on.”
The two got in each other's faces, looking like they were about to trade blows. Meanwhile Erick simply studied the doors, tracing the exterior until he found a subtle mark in the corner. He gave it a closer look and found that it was actually a welding indent, probably hiding the wires that powered the giant doors. He traced them back several rooms to find an electrical panel. Upon opening it, he found that the fuses were all corroded heavily. Tossing the ruined material away, Erick found a set of wires that didn’t seem to have weathered much decay. Taking a deep breath, he focused his magic in his best attempt to keep it from going wild, stuck his hand into the panel, and cast his magic, causing a large surge of electricity to go through the wires. Red emergency lights turned on as a siren began to blare. Returning to the room in front of the doors, he found that the two had actually come to blows while he was gone. Jaz was in a half nelson grapple while trying to space himself by holding Tal at arm’s length by the chin, he had a large bruise on his cheek while Tal had a small chipping on one of her horns. The two apparently stopped when the doors were activated. When the doors stopped and the sirens returned to silence, Jaz and Tal turned towards Erick with their mouths agape, “There, solved the problem,” Erick said nonchalantly, passing by his friends and into the room ahead, “Now c’mon, we have a portal to activate, don’t we?”
Jaz and Tal shook their heads as they got off each other and caught up with Erick, only to find him at the top of a set of stairs with his mouth agape this time. They followed his gaze and reacted the same when they realized that the portal they’ve been after this whole time, was glowing, “That wasn’t how it looked like a week ago,” Jaz confirmed.
The glow quickly became an afterthought when the portal rumbled as the rings began to move for the first time in centuries. They slowly accelerated until the runes became impossible to track. Once the rings reached their apex speed, the droning sound of what sounded like chants were heard coming from the portal. The droning died out quickly as the rings quickly stopped, before turning the opposite direction and the droning began again. This became a pattern as more sounds followed in suit: ticking, clicking, scraping, hissing, chirping, and an eerie whistle all followed in a somehow harmonious tune, all following the chant of the portal.
“A portal that would sing a song of ruin before releasing disaster upon the world,” Jaz whispered.
“What do we do now?” Erick asked, “Should we get someone? Wasn’t this supposed to be a dangerous artifact?”
“I don’t know,” Tal breathed through clenched teeth, “Would anyone be able to react fast enough? Should we contact the magic council? I mean, we aren’t supposed to be here. What do you think, Jaz? Jaz?!” she turned to find that Jaz had turned tail and fled the scene not too long ago, “Jaz!” she called again. No response.
Not soon after, the portal’s rings froze in place suddenly, a moment of pure silence filled the room as the rings suddenly burst into its segments, all floating in orbit around its center. From each segment, a beam of energy emerged from it and coalesced into an orb of plasma at the center, slowly growing wider until it filled the original empty space the portal had. From within the ball of plasma, two beings emerged from its core. A man with jet black hair, tanned skin, and dark jade green eyes emerged first. His clothing looked like he came right from an apocalypse. He looked around the room before turning back around and reached back into the portal, pulling a woman out from the core. The woman had white hair, pale skin, and radiant purple eyes. Her clothing looked like it was in an even worse state, her black robes were completely tattered. She looked around as well before turning back to the man. The language she spoke was completely foreign to the two young teens. The man conversed in the same unknown language before turning back to the area around them. Eventually, the two beings found Erick and Tal. The kids were paralyzed by both fear and awe at what just happened, both holding their breath in hope that the two beings from beyond ignore them.
Alas, that hope was squandered as the two approached them. The man and woman approached the two, Erick locked eyes with the man as he stared through the kid. Irregular eyes was the first thing Erick noticed, his left being rectangular like an octopus, while his right was sharp like a lizard’s. The woman stared in turn at Tal, her purple eyes faintly glowed and revealed a sense of curiosity, the only emotion Tal could find on the woman’s face. With a breath, the man spoke, “Ahf' ye'bthnk ymg' ah ai, gof'n?”
Erick was stunned, he was expecting a language that would pierce the fabric of reality, or make his head explode. Instead, it was simply a sentence that he just didn’t know or understand, “Uh… um… I don’t know what you said, sir…” he wasn’t even sure if the beings were male and female at the time, or if they had a concept of gender where they were from, but he spoke on pure instinct, worried any word he uttered would result in the being to become enraged and turn him inside out. Tal eyed Erick with baited breath, hoping this encounter with the unknown wouldn’t result in either of their demise.
The result was a rather tame one compared to their wildest expectations. Instead, the male being studied Erick before clearing his throat, “Apologies, it’s been a few centuries since I spoke in this language. I didn’t expect the first people we would meet to be so young.”
“There’s a third, running away from here,” the woman pointed in a direction between the facility and the village the three kids were from, her eyes glowed brighter for a brief moment, “Older, age-wise, but still young physically and mentally,” her voice was monotone, like someone who couldn’t portray emotion.
The male nodded before turning back to Erick and Tal, “What’s this world like? Does magic exist here? Creatures of legend and beings as old as time?”
“T-there’s plenty of magic around,” Tal explained, “Almost every living thing has at least some magic within them.”
“And there have been times where the gods have roamed the land,” Erick added, “It’s not often they are seen though, mostly within or around the wizard council.”
The male hummed, seeming pleased with the answer, “It seems our hunch was right. I think we’ll be around for a while, Sister.”
“Very well,” the woman replied, “Let’s get settled, then.” The two proceeded to pass by Erick and Tal, heading towards the facility’s entrance.
“W-wait!” Erick blurted out, causing the two to stop and turn back towards the kids. As Tal looked like she was about to have a heart attack, Erick summoned the courage to ask, “There was an old prophecy, or I guess a legend about that portal,” he pointed back to the portal, which had now converted back to it’s original position, no trace it was active at all once more, “The stories tell that beings of calamity would come through and destroy this world. Are you two those beings of calamity?”
The two stared at each other before returning back to the kids, both speaking in unison, “We can be,” before turning back to the entrance and continuing onward.
Erick and Tal watched the two leave their sight before looking at each other with both confusion and dread. After several minutes, the rundown atmosphere started to get to the kids and they hastily took their leave. Upon returning to the village, they were promptly scolded by family members for being out so late, but both refused to tell any details regarding their adventure. They met up with Jaz the following morning and after a verbal beatdown for chickening out despite being the one to bring up the idea of going to the facility, Jaz confirmed that he didn’t tell anyone about what happened the prior day either. The three swore to not speak of the incident unless the world was about to end, for fear that they would be not believed at least, or ostracized for their actions at most.
Decades later, none of them spoke a word of that fateful day, but all three wonder what happened to the two that came from the portal, or where they could now be.
“Brother, I miss Glo, can I bring her here?”
The elder brother sighed, “Be thankful that your fire skeleton incident caused me to promptly fireproof my home. I’m sure a salamander wouldn’t burn this house down, but it makes me more at ease that your lover won’t cause me any financial pain. Sure, Aurora, you can bring Glo over here from now on. Just make sure she doesn’t damage the electrical plant.”
Aurora’s eyes beamed with joy, “Yay!” she threw her hands into the air, symbolizing the excitement her voice couldn’t portray, “Thank you, Arcturus.”
“Yeah, yeah, just don’t cause a mess.” Arcturus groaned as the doorbell rang. He got up from his sofa and approached the door, opening it to find a young man in a delivery uniform, “Grubber Eats order for… Arcturus?”
“Yep, that’s me…” he looked at the nametag on the guy’s uniform, “Erick? With a C and K?”
Erick sighed, “Yeah, the parents back in our home village had a weird tradition for giving their kids weird names, like Eric with a second letter that makes the same sound, a name that’s been long ago shortened to either a C or K mind you, or Taffy for my fiance’s name, but don’t tell her I called her that, she’s hated that name since our childhood.”
“Fiance eh?” Arcturus asked as he accepted the food, “This your primary job?”
Erick shook his head, “No, I have another as the village’s local sorcerer. Being the only one in my family to actually be able to control their magic tends to open a lot of jobs when most people there aren’t as magically gifted compared to other towns. This is just a second job for us to pay for a new house.”
“Well that’s cool. Good luck with your future endeavors.” Arcturus studied the man’s appearance, recognizing some features from someone long ago, “Say, any chance your girl is a tiefling?”
Erick looked stunned, “Why, yes… how did you-” he made a double take upon see Arcturus’ jade green eyes, “Are… are you that man that came from the portal a few decades ago?”
Arcturus laughed, “Yes, that was me, and my sister, Aurora. Nice to formally meet you, the name’s Arcturus Maestas, my sister still has the same last name, too.” Arcturus held out his hand.
Erick nervously shook his hand in return, “Nice to meet you too… You aren’t going to destroy this world any time soon, are you?” he asked, “Or your sister, or anyone you guys know?”
“No, nothing like that for a while,” Arcturus shook his head, “Our patron hasn’t scheduled any formal chaos within this universe from our end for the next…” he pulled out a parchment that looked both in and out of tune with the visuals of their current world, “collapse and reformation of the universe, plus one point seven trillion years. So basically around a similar time after this universe has reset itself.” The parchment disappeared as suddenly as it appeared.
“I… I see,” Erick laughed sheepishly, “Well, it’s nice to meet you again, Mr. Maestas. I should get going now,” Erick turned heel as he prepared to leave.
At that moment, Arcturus noticed something only he could see. After a bit of hesitation, he decided to follow through with it, “One moment, Erick,” Arcturus called out, causing the human to freeze and turn back around, “How are things going financially? You expect to pay off that house in a reasonable time?”
Erick paused for a moment, considering if he should answer honestly, “To be frank, no, things aren’t reasonable right now. Even with the payment from both of my jobs, Tal had to get herself some as well to keep up with expenses. Even then, our average profit is about a dozen gold per month. And we bought a house without a down payment for about thirty thousand…”
“Sounds a bit out of reach for someone like you two,” Arcturus admitted.
“It is, but it was the only one we could get within reason. Despite being of use to our village, my family has a reputation for its debt due to wild magic incidents. My parents both died recently, so the village placed the debt upon me. Fortunately, things could be even worse. I heard that small towns can still often find scorn against infernal beings like tieflings, so going beyond our village isn’t really an option for better housing of reasonable size. This is the best we can do without working ourselves to death or traveling farther than what we are comfortable with,” Erick lamented.
Arcturus thought for a bit before asking Erick to wait a moment. He ventured into his basement and pulled out a small bag of coins. Upon returning to the door, he tossed the bag to Erick, “Here’s a tip, twenty platinum should suffice,”
“Are… are you sure I can have this?” Erick asked as he counted the coin, to which Arcturus nodded, “T-thank you. How can I repay you for such generosity?”
“Like I said, it’s a tip, so that’s already paid for in just,” Arcturus explained, “However, I can offer more if you so desire. The only cost is you help me and my sister with some basic endeavors. You said you have been learning to control your magic?” Erick nodded, “Good, then you can help us with some things. We can pay you much more for much less than what your current jobs will force you through. Think it over. Come knocking again if you ever consider. There will be a bit of danger, so the pay will be well beyond reasonable if accidents do occur. I will ensure you’re not in mortal peril, though.”
“Really? Thank you. I’ll discuss this with my fiance. I hope to see you again, Mr. Maestas. Have a good rest of your day.”
“You too, Erick.” Arcturus waved the young man off before closing the door and placing his order on the table, “Food.”
Aurora stared at her brother, “Don’t incite the one word incantation, Arc. We don’t need him here right now.” Nonetheless, she got up from the couch and opened her share of the meal. “Who was that? I’ve never seen you give a courier such a generous tip before.”
“An old acquaintance from our early years here. He performed a favor for us greater than he even knows, I’m just simply offering to repay such generosity. I doubt he would have accepted the payment in full outright if I didn’t give him a job. The favor would be miniscule to him from an outside perspective after all.” Arcturus winked as three draconic eyes and a crown of jagged horns warped into the fabric of reality around him, giving Aurora a clear message of what he meant.
“I see. If we shall repay him, then we shall do so to what he would consider acceptable.”
And with that, their conversation ended. The two sat in silence as they ate while a couple of towns over, a recently engaged couple would soon discuss what fortune had been offered to them. Little did the latter half know what this fortune would truly entail, and that a lifetime’s worth of adventures would soon follow. Meanwhile in the forest of the north, the frame of the portal flickered to life once more, causing an eerie drone to echo throughout the facility.

2024.05.31 22:06 super_hot_juice Cinema Pro: (almost) Definitive guide to Why and How to use it + tips & hacks

Cinema Pro is no more and none of its features are getting ported into new app Video Pro mode, so this is a perfect opportunity to release this (almost) definite guide as to when and how to record video footage in Cinema Pro. All of us are pretty much aware of most its shortcomings this app has but we are not going to complain or talk about them here, instead we are going to celebrate EOL of Cinema Pro.
I could bet my pet that about 90% of Xperia users ain’t touching Cinema Pro because they feel uncomfortable using it, that includes mobile camera enthusiasts. Instead, they go to BASIC Video or Video Pro and I don’t blame them as learning curve in Cinema Pro is pretty steep but on the other hand this camera app has very flexible workflow and results can be stunning if you practice enough.
So, first things first, none of the video camera apps will make your videos gorgeous by itself. Filming a video, much like a taking a photo, is all about framing your shot. Keep in mind that Cinema Pro is meant for static shots and short pans due to lack of auto ISO adjustments. If your shot is poorly framed not even a Burano can save your butt. Frame your shot properly before you even touch record button. But before you even do that here are few things you should read first to get yourself familiar with Cinema Pro.

Here is what Cinema Pro offers and can do that other Xperia camera apps can’t.
CLIP METADATA
This probably was not your first thought I was gonna bring up, right? Unlike Video Pro which does not save any advanced metadata in video clips Cinema Pro does and it does it quite good.
When you go to Cinema Library and play any clip inside your project (not final video) you can tap on ellipsis at upper right corner and choose Details. Brown window will pop up with following metadata such as ~resolution~ and ~FPS~ but besides that we also get ~Look~ we picked, ~Lens~, ~Stabilization~, ~WB~, ~ISO~, ~Shutter~ speed, ~Focus~ and ~Audio~ level. If we import the clip in desktop software we also get ~bit depth~, ~color space~, ~EOTF~, ~format~, etc.
Why is this important? If you are really making a video project there is a great chance that you imported those clips on your desktop OS and that you are editing or retouching them inside some desktop software. Desktop software has power of utilizing metadata for your convenience when manipulating and exporting the video, matching shots, doing color correction or just doing offline editing.
This will make your life a lot easier. As you will see in my sample footage below, I’ve actually automated the burn-in with the Cinema Pro clip metadata (Looks, WB, Shutter, etc.) to make each clip display the metadata on-screen without me having to punch it in manually.
METERING
If you don’t have Metering bar enabled in your UI you are doing it wrong. Go to yellow hamburger menu to the right and tap Customize DISP and make sure you have Metering Manual set to ON.
Again, what is this important? Because of two things. Cinema Pro dims the display all the time when it’s running for some reason (presumably to better show HLG result on screen) so if you have Xperia 1, 1II, 1III, PRO-I you will be struggling to see anything while being outdoors. Situation is not any better on 1IV and 1V but it’s more usable. Do not trust your display when it comes to exposure. Instead trust your Metering bar and always shoot around 0 if possible, you will thank me for this once you view your clip on a HDR UHD TV. If it’s too bright outside you can try lowering the shutter speed to level the exposure just make sure do not have fast moving subjects in frame such as cars because it will look choppy.
Second, we’ve already established that Cinema Pro is meant for static shots or gentle panning but if you have to do something “wild” such as POV or going from one lighting condition to other (and sometimes that means just a simple camera tilt from ground up to the sky) you will need Metering to try to find the middle value. Do a test run without recording first and pay attention at the meter to see how many stops is the spread between one frame to another. Lets say you adjusted ISO/Shutter for the 0 at the beginning of your camera movement and once your done with the move metering is showing +2. In that case you will need to set your beginning value at -1 in order to get to +1 in the end to contain both highlights and shadows. Just keep in mind that most of the time your aggressive tilts will be ranging from 0 to well above or under -/+2 and in that case, you will have to rethink what you want to do. That’s right Cinema Pro is a slow burn and unnecessary methodical because it applies cine camera philosophy to crappy mobile sensors.
WDR with Stabilization
Here is another one that is not available inside BASIC or Video Pro unless you have 5V or 1VI device. WDR or Wide Dynamic Range option is made for Cinema Pro period. Cinema Pro was pretty much useless until WDR options popped up in PRO-I. So, what does it do? It records three frames at once and then stack them together to make one frame. Camera is recording at 120fps and then outputs 30/25/24 fps as final result hence why it’s not available at 60fps in any app. Using WDR in Cinema Pro you contain the highlights which is impossible to do in SDR mode unless you are in some dimmed environment.
General rule is to always have the WDR on but if you can do it without do it. There is no false color option in Cinema Pro but if you toggle between WDR and SDR you will see blown out highlights in SDR as some mushy color on display. It’s quite easy to spot the difference. Unlike in Video Pro in Cinema Pro WDR does not introduce purple cast in dark/black areas when shooting in low(er)-light conditions. Cinema Pro has a bigger threshold when shooting in low-light before introduces purple cast in blacks compared to Video Pro as long as you do not shoot in N/A Look (you shouldn’t be shooting in N/A like ever but more on that later). Video Pro utilizes WDR quite poorly, in daylight scenes it drops the gain making dark areas even darker which boosts the contrast to a point where you get that Pixel zombie decomposition like human faces. Cinema Pro does NOT do that, instead it only affects the highlights mostly.
Drawback of WDR in both Cinema Pro and Video Pro requires separate paragraph because it’s a big issue. Whenever you have high frequency texture in your shot such as tiny rubble road (asphalt) or stone mosaic wall you will get texture floating effect like texture is rearranging itself. It’s super trippy. That issue persists because development team didn’t master the frame stacking while filming. Those three frames that get to be one do not alight properly with the next stacked frame when it comes to big areas with tiny patterns.
But one good thing that also requires its own paragraph is video stabilization with HLG WDR option turned on. As previously mentioned, that combo is not possible in Video Pro or BASIC modes but it is in Cinema Pro. How? Well Cinema Pro crops top and bottom of 16:9 footage to 21:9 so it has some wiggle room to give as some basic stabilization. Stabilization is nothing spectacular but it doesn’t crop in the image in order to enable stabilization like Video Pro does. In other words, it doesn’t take Video Pro stabilized cropped in frame to enable stabilization. It shoots native UHD which is really important to preserve the quality unlike both Video Pro and BASIC that crop in UHD frame to turn on stabilization and then upscale the frame back to UHD. Cinema Pro does not do that.
NIGHTSHOOTING
Cinema Pro does really good night shots due to its flexibility to adjust Looks and auto white balance which I think is superior to Video Pro/BASIC. Funny things is that all of the exposure environment shortcomings during the daytime are not such a big deal during the night time because streets are evenly lit by light poles. So you have more freedom to pan, tilt and walk around while filming in Cinema Pro at night time then during the day. Here is a winning combo to make the night shot as good as possible: ~SDR + VENICE CS + AUTO WB unlocked~. Pretty straight forward. I find VENICE CS greatest strength to be default Look for nighttime as it’s easy on ISO, doesn’t boost contrast and has the least noise compared to some other looks. That doesn’t mean you can’t play around with the Looks during the night, if street lighting is annoyingly yellow you can use Cool/Blue60 +A to introduce some cool gray into the mix. And with the mention of other color profiles this brings us to the most important and the biggest feature of Cinema Pro, the Looks section.
LOOKS + TEMPERATURE + A/B + G/M Adjustments
This alone is the biggest deal in Cinema Pro app and this alone is what most of the users have no idea how to tweak and manipulate. If you thought rack focus is the number one feature in Cinema Pro, well I can assure you it’s number two right after this super flexible image manipulation output. Before we start discussing looks you have to keep in mind there is one factor in equation here and that’s Whitebalance. Most of the users stick with VENICE CS and don’t use any other look because by default all the looks are in your face when left in Auto whitebalance mode. Even less users who default to VENICE CS fiddle with whitebalance to unlock the full potential of image looks manipulation. Before you start playing with the looks you have to go to yellow hamburger menu and ~change WB MODE to TEMPERATURE~ instead of Preset.
With Temperature mode turned on you now have the option to set desired temperature in kelvins as well as to play with A/B and G/M sliders. What those sliders do? AB slider stands for Amber and Blue but names are inverted on axis so B will be to the left and A to the right. You can actually go quite wild with AB as our eyes are a lot less sensitive to warm and cold adjustments. GM slider stands for Green and Magenta and axis works just as the letters, green to the left and magenta to the right. GB sliders requires quite slight nudges in both directions because our eyes perceive color tilt very aggressively. You might want to use GB slider to adjust for human skin or just go artistic on a certain look.
You might ask yourself what the difference between setting up temperature and pushing AB sliders and I could tell you the order it needs to be done to make a proper impact on the picked Look.
1. You always adjust Temperature first. Between 4700K and 5500K is considered daylight in Cinema Pro (forget 6500K as you will crush it with amber). That’s at least how my eyes perceive it. If you pick lets say Strong/Blue100 look you will want to go to 7000K to neutralize it and then add some of A to make it shift from cold to warm look. Oh yeah it’s possible, so suddenly you just changed the bluest of the blue looks into yellow look.
2. Now you fiddle with AB/GM sliders for finer adjustments. AB will have more of an impact if you stick between 4700K-5500K but if you go below or over those Kelvins AB slider will get weaker. GM slider on the other hand will stay powerful and affect any highlight there is in an image.
3. Combine these two to completely alter any Look you pick.
*In order to follow the Looks description and how you could manipulate them, I will provide the links with video samples down below so you could watch them while reading the rest of the post.
WATCH 4K separate clips in order as described
WATCH 4K all the clips combined into one movie file following the order of description
(all files are in Rec2020 + eotf gamma 2.4 for better color representation but stripped of HDR)
Shot setup consists of warm neutral headphones, white coffee cup, glass of water to see highlights behavior and ugly yellow table and green trees. It's a shame I forgot to put red pack of cigarettes or something as reds are crazy different depending on the look you choose.
Soft/Yellow40 gain req: high contrast: lowest texture: softest grade: non-unifying offset: medium hdr: bright
This is the very interesting one and when combined with the right scene it can look marvelous. Soft look is your Orange & Teal go to look pretty much. It’s not very obvious but it’s not subtle either. One of the major traits of this look is really the softer image, not as sharp as let’s say Bright but because of that it mitigates artifacts quite nicely. Keep in mind that this look requires quite a gain so you will be boosting ISO until you reach the 0 in almost every situation. But because this looks require lots of additional stops it’s very grateful for bright environments. It has medium contrast but it can propel highlights quite high, things like neon signs look like glowing neon signs so it has a strong HDR effect which can clip easy. It doesn’t have unifying image trait, so if you are into color graded look this one will not offer that. That’s kind of a given considering it’s balancing out between orange and teal. If you want to unify it then your best bet is to shift it toward cool temperature or push A slider all the way to the left while introducing some magenta with M slider to the right. Soft/Yellow60 can’t completely switch from all blue to all yellow so it’s altering offset limit is medium.
Auto WB look for Soft/Yellow40 is quite decent but if you have some yellow patches, they will pick up some green tint. To remedy that just add some M like 1.x and add splash of Amber like 1.5 to 3 to be sure. If you want to cool down the image just drop Kelvins down or go crazy with B slider. On the other hand if you want to neutralize to get as close to white as possible you will need to add M1.5 or more together with cooler Kelvins. If you are shooting neutrals with this Look make sure you kill green cause it will overtake the whole image.
Where this Look kicks some major but is in a scene where you have brown wood veneer and blue/teal walls or panels. You will get an awesome O&T look out of it.

Opaque/Blue20/Yellow60 gain req: medium contrast: medium texture: sharp grade: unifying offset: medium hdr: medium
Another one that gets overlooked due to poor AUTO WB looks. When set to default WB it looks muddy and sepia like so most of us don’t know what to do with it. You will be shocked now if I tell you this should be your 2nd go to Look right after Bright. Yup, VENICE CS is not even in top two and I will elaborate why when we get to it. One thing to know in order to use this look you need to modify it from the get go. You need to kill that yellow and boost ISO for a stop or stop and half compared to Bright.
Opaque is great for skintones as they are easily adjusted with AB/GM sliders. Image is very creamy despite having enough clarity and medium contrast. If you underexpose you get some deeper contrast without ruining the creamy image. It’s great for shooting outdoor people gatherings, landscapes on a mute and cloudy day or any outdoor activity. Indoor is kind of tricky due to tungsten lighting but manageable although its not as appetizing as outdoor shots. Keep in mind when shooting at golden hour you will need deeper adjustments to get that sepia out and get the gold in. On any other condition it’s super easy to neutralize the image, you don’t have to push temperature nor sliders too far to get it just right. HDR effect is subtle and not over the top, proper medium and saturation is quite clever despite being a sepia preset. Colors are not muted by any means unless they have some brown in them. If you are a fan of grading I could assure you Opaque has quite unifying image effect no matter if you shoot warm, neutral or cold which is great. Transforming the look to complete cold or warm is tricky as it always keep that mud/sepia yellow in highlights.
To neutralize the look at daytime all you have to do is drop the temp around 4000K or push B slider to your liking. You can always do cold temperature to kill sepia and bring back some heat by pushing A slider. If you want to shoot gold tones then keep it around 5000K and adjust A to your liking while balancing GM.
This look produces super deep and rich reds, amazing reds. And if you combine that red with something beige or sand color like you will get a match made in heaven. Filming bars with brown furnishing packed with people is a treat as well. Shooting at night time in street lights is also a treat for this look.

Cool/Blue60 gain req: med to hi contrast: medium texture: sharp grade: very unifying offset: low hdr: medium
In a nutshell this is a faux bleach bypass or silver look if adjusted right. Together with Soft this has to be the most creative usage look offered. Unlike Soft this one is very easy to setup and results are sharp. At the first glance users might be confused what’s the difference between this one and Strong/BU100 as both look quite similar in Auto WB mode. But once you go out of auto look and start adjusting it soon you figure out that Cool/BU60 look has no vibrance and that’s what makes all the difference compared to all other looks. Gain adjustment to get to 0 is only like 1 stop compared to Bright or VENICE CS. Clarity is right on the par with others and contrast at proper sweet spot. HDR effect is tad bit mute but not by much and it works. And now if you ever wanted a look that makes the whole image like its graded as a whole, look no further (pun intended) than this one.
If you pay close attention, you can tell from the get go that this has silver look to it but it just needs to be released. Those familiar with bleach bypass look will know exactly what to expect from this one. If left in Auto WB you will get nothing but as soon as you dial A slider in more than a half you are waking it up slowly. If you want to get rid of the major blue cast you want to push temperature to 7000K and adjust sliders to your liking. If you drop the exposure, you will get that dramatic film look. Again, this look is quite easy to work with but it’s not flexible, don’t expect major transformations on the other end. It’s a one trick pony and it does that very well.
The best-case scenario for Cool is street photography with lots of metal on it. Cars, machines and silver or gray stuff blend in while human skin remain distinguishable. Interior shots are also great if you have to render a cold, clinical environment like office or a hospital or police station. It’s also your go to look if you want to make anticipation in the video.

Strong/Blue100 gain req: high contrast: low texture: soft grade: very unifying offset: highest hdr: bright
Turn day into a night and night into dusk. This is the most flexible look as it can get from one spectrum to the other without much casting. It’s not called strong for nothing; it really grades the whole image with a single hue. Despite being in your face it actually keeps the contrast on lower side which is very good as you can always dial it in with drop of exposure. Clipping in highlights can occur because of the nature it unifies the picture.
Because this look can go from cool to fire it can get neutral, although neutralizing it is not that simple affair as it’s with Opaque. Best way to get there is to adjust temperature. If hanging around neutral you will get image with blue cast over it. The way I see it this one is supposed to be opposite of Opaque while hitting harder. You might find some creative usage for this one if you want to go abstract and saturated. Similar to Soft look if you film contrast scene that has both cold and warm hues in it you will get that cross axis between the two and nothing in between.

Bright/Blue20/Yellow60 gain req: low contrast: highest texture: sharpest grade: non-unifying offset: low hdr: brightest
Your first go to profile when filming with Cinema Pro. It’s the closest one to Video Pro and closest one that looks like regular picture profile. If you are not looking for a creative look or any look in general this is it. It requires little to no gain adjustment which means it will not suffer from gain artifacts, it has the highest contrast and sharpest details for that mainstream image look (I do not count N/A as picture profile). But right now, there is a huge flaw that has to be addressed with this profile; it can’t capture pure reds no matter what. All reds are burgundy or violet unfortunately. But it nails down blues and teals like a pro.
On the other side it is super easy to balance out the image, its super easy to shift it to warm, cold, green or magenta. There is a quite big of a spread in temperature before image gets painted blue or yellow. It requires small nudges and results are visible right away. It plays well with the skin tones, no issues there. Where it excels is the HDR highlights. This profile kills it when there is shimmer in the view, metallics and all kinds of crazy and contrast stuff. HDR effect is exaggerated and it looks so oomph on a TV. Bright also nails down auto wb from the box so you can set it to auto and forget about it. Overall, it’s easiest to work with and sunny outdoors are a treat for the eyes. Usage of this profile equals that of Video Pro so you can use it anywhere you like. Video Pro is the direct competitor to this Look and while Video Pro can do saturated reds Bright/BU20/YE60 has a tad bit more organic feel despite being quite similar.
This is general purpose Look and being like that it doesn’t offer color grading effect nor it has any offset abilities of color transformation (unless you go completely blue 3200K or completely yellow 7500K).

VENICE CS gain req: low contrast: high texture: sharp grade: non-unifying offset: low hdr: bright
Default look and the one that’s most talked about and the one that most people use. First of all the look itself is fine but it is rather limited. It has nothing to do with Venice color science but it doesn’t have to honestly. It emulates log like image but without any flexibility of the log. It has very low ISO requirements and it’s the brightest look out of them all. Like mentioned above that makes it a go to look for low light shots. All other aspects of this look are almost on par with Bright look so I think these two go hand in hand when you want to lay off saturation and dial down blacks. In other words, don’t try to bring in VENICE CS footage into post to try to bring back vividness. It doesn’t work but that’s why there is Bright look for stuff like that. Unlike Bright look VENICE CS can capture red colors properly.
If you want to shoot haze, mist and other soft scenes VENICE CS is a dream. If you generally want to shoot relaxing stuff VENICE CS is the one to go for. Just don’t treat it as a log footage but rather as a looks footage. HDR is bright enough and it contains highlights really good. When it comes to exposure its quite flexible so margin of error is low.

Warm/Yellow80 gain req: medium contrast: high texture: sharp grade: most-unifying offset: lowest hdr: medium
This is supposed to be opposite of Cool, at least in theory. In reality we have a huge cast of orange and brown all over the screen. It’s really strong color cast and you can only manipulate it do a certain degree. It doesn’t require high ISO, it has deep contrast, good clarity and it contains highlights in HDR. On the artistic department there is vey little you can do with this. Cast is like three times stronger sepia of Opaque look. The only use case I found is when you want to turn something into golden look. Just like how Cool is silver look Warm is supposed to be gold look. But again, to my eyes it aligns more to Opaque deeper side than actual warm/gold. Shooting some neutral-colored scenery and cooling down the temperature below 4000K might give some artistic effect. This is a very limited look to play with.
There is nothing to say about N/A and Soft Monochrome except that you should never shoot in N/A it’s just horrible and if you want BW video you at least have an option.

So conclusion, Cinema Pro besides all of its shortcomings and some are pretty serious, has few features of brilliance that were never ever seen in any camera app third-party or OEM before and most likely we will never see those features again. Sony’s biggest sin with Cinema Pro is not omission of features but rather NOT improving up on what’s already in there. They just let it rot. I guess at one moment at it’s inception Cinema Pro had a great roadmap where it should go but then new management came in and shifted focus from cinema video to photography and v-logging.
Cinema Pro is dead, long live Cinema Pro. Go ahead and make some projects with it.

2024.05.31 21:00 TwistedImagination66 I couldn’t resist getting hold of my friend’s thick wallet.

While on my way to meet up with Hakan, I was secretly excited about the possibility and prospect of getting the see and touch his massive wallet buige again. The whole time I was walking along the road and then as I stepped into the lift at his apartment building, I was constantly thinking of his I could pull off getting close enough to do all the thinks I wanted to do, without raising suspicions or looking suspicious. I nearly missed the floor when the doors opened due to me overthinking and I hadn't seen that someone else was sharing the lift with me and they were going further up the building.
I got to his door and knocked just like I had done the previous time I had visited him. The door opened and Hakan was once again in the process of putting on his shoes, I was starting to get a feeling deja vu about the situation at that point, then was snapped out of it as I saw him pick up his thick brown leather wallet from the table and slide it into his back pocket. I was immediately sent into overdrive thinking about his wallet as I watched it disappear inside his back pocket, causing yet again a massive bulge to stick out from his butt.
As we got the lift, it arrived and someone got out so we got in a pressed the button to go down, but the lift was already on a routine so we ended up going up to the next floor where about six people were waiting for the lift. Once they were all in and Hakan and Myself were pushed back into a corner, we were finally going down. It was as we were pushed back that I subconsciously got myself into a great position, as Hakan was slightly ahead of me so I was able to reach across the back of him and touch his wallet bulge.
I started off stroking the flat surface of the bulge, then moved onto running my fingers along all the edges and underneath bottom of the bulge itself. As the list descended and bounced I could feel the wallet houncing slightly in his back pocket. Hakan was checking some messages on his phone as we went down, so i able to use his distraction as a perfect cover for what I was doing. The lift reached the ground floor and the doors opened, group left first as we slowly followed them out, I was still rubbing his bulge as we exited the lift, and so I was getting the full benefit of the bounce and sway that I had been watching the previous time.
We exited his apartment building and turned towards the town centre to start the days adventure, which was to start off with a trip to the gaming centre to check out the new games that had been released and then we would be going to multiplex to see about some howling or just to play on the arcade machines. As we made our way down the road, I was constantly glancing down checking his buige, and watching it bounce and sway and always dreaming of touching it. When we stopped at the crossing, there was a group of people who stopped and sort of gather around us, I looked around then out the corner of my eye, then I stepped a little closer to Hakan and had a quick feel of his bulge, before we stepped off and crossed the road.
Soon we arrived at the gaming centre and we were in need of pushing our way through some of the crowd to get into the shop to start with. Hakan took the lead and I followed him close behind, what I did was put my hand on his shoulder so that he knew I was there while shaking our way through, what I also did was grabbed hold of his wallet bulge and held it while we were walking, I lift slightly and basically took all the weight in my hand for a few moments, before I was back to just running my fingers around the edges and stroking the flat surface.
Finally we were through the crowd and into the back area where it was quieter and less populated, I released my hands from his shoulder and his wallet bulge and we started to slowly look around at the games and consoles they had on offer. After what I think was about 20 minutes neither Hakan or Myself had found anything that interested us, so we decided to leave the gaming centre empty handed this time. Thankfully there is an exit door so we didn't have to try and battle out way out of the store again. Once outside we immediately started to walk towards the multiplex building to see what was available for us entertain ourselves with for a few hours.
When we arrived at the multiplex building it was busy as expected for summertime, we saw immediately after entering that we wasn't going to be doing any bowling, as all twelve of the lanes were full and a queue was forming to replace anybody that left. So we turned our attentions to the arcade section of the building, which seemed to be a lot less populated. After walking about looking at the different games and machines, Hakan decided to have a go on the motorcycle racing machine, while I had a few turns on the claw machine and 10p slot machine.
About 10 minutes later I happened to turn to check on Hakan and that was when I saw his massive bulge resting on the seat of the motorcycle he was perched on. Due to his positioning his bulge was being pushed up and was looking even larger and more inviting than before. I came to the end of may turn on the claw machine, turned and walked over to where Hakan was still playing on the moto-racing machine. I came to a halt next to him and started a conversation about the machine as I hadn't actually played on one before. He offered to get off after his turn so that I could have a go, but I declined saying that I would watch him to get some pointers and see how an experienced rider does.
What I really wanted to do was keep him in this position for as long as possible to get some time on his wallet bulge again. As he was going through didn't parts of the game explaining them I was standing next to the machine looking at the screen, what he couldn't see was that I had my hand on his wallet bulge, slowly moving over every inch of the solid bulge. I moved my fingers down below the bulge and at the right time of when he would lean towards me, I pushed upwards on the bottom of the bulge and managed to push his wallet up and actually it was enough force the wallet to breach the opening of the back pocket. When he returned to the upright, I saw his wallet now poking out of his back pocket.
I took a slight step back and watched the game, his techniques and more importantly his wallet moving up and down in his back pocket. When the bike started to shake due to the course he was riding, I couldn't believe my eyes as 1 watched his thick heavy wallet bouncing up and down in his back pocket and then slowly it was worked further out of his pocket and then as he took a turn, the wallet fell out completely to the floor. I quickly moved in and picked it up before anybody else saw it and thought about stealing it. I stood there holding his heavy wallet in my hand, but soon decided that I needed to hide it, so I slipped it into my own back pocket and oh wow, it was big, it was thick, it was heavy and it was there in my back pocket.
I decide to walk about to check out something and I had only gone a few steps and could feel the widget of the heavy wallet bouncing and swaying inside my pocket. I dropped a coin on the floor and bent over to pick it up and holy smokes, I could feel just his solid the wallet was in my back pocket as I bent over snd my jeans were pulled tighter than ever across my butt due to the size of the wallet in the back pocket. Soon I was standing next to Hakan as he was finishing a game on the machine, I lent against the railing next to the machine and caught sight of my butt in the reflection of the machine and I could see just how massive the wallet looked in own back pocket. Hakan had finished his game and had climbed down from the machine and just then he stopped and grabbed at his butt and looked worried, before bending to checking around the machine on the floor.
I called him over and then as he got to me and was about to say something. reached round and pulled his wallet out of my back pocket and told him that I watched it get pushed out and fall on the floor, so I picked it up and stored it in my pocket for him. He took the wallet back and slipped it into his own back pocket. He turned to see if the bowling was available and this was when I was once again able to admire his thick heavy wallet in its nature setting.

2024.05.31 20:05 BainshieWrites A Most Important Visitor

This is a [LF Friends, Will travel] stand-alone story, that assumes no knowledge of the setting.
------------------
[First] - [Prev] - [Next]
Date: 37 PST (Post Stasis Time)
Kelt’ch stared at the passenger list, his thorax starting to vibrate with worry as he looked down at the list of names in front of him. This couldn’t be right, this couldn’t be happening. Why here, why now? ‘Station Joreial’ was a Kirken station: small, rarely used, a bit of a dump that serviced a few of the lesser used mining stations. Mostly smaller merchants transporting materials and supplies… as well as a non-insignificant amount of criminal activity that existed here in the outer reaches of the insectoid species’ aura of influence.
All of those ships going to and fro provided an official reason for travel and an official passenger list. Within the list of ships providing travel plans over the next week, a single vessel stood out to Kelt’ch: a Terran vessel. Their official reason for visiting was transporting supplies to the various mining stations around the area, but the real worry came from the passenger list. 2 Terran crew members listed… one of which had a name that filled the Kirken reading it with terror.
Admiral.
“What’s wrong Kelt’ch? You look like you’ve seen a spirit.”
Kelt’ch looked up from the data pad he was holding, his wings fluttering with apprehension and antennae twitching from side to side as Parsk’l, the female Kirken he co-owned the station with, asked him the question.
“What’s wrong? What’s wrong!? Look at this, look who is visiting the station!”
The Kirken thrust the data pad into the face of the other while his three remaining hands were wrung with anxiety. Parsk’l glanced at it a moment, her head tilting to the side in confusion.
“Oh, we’re getting a Terran visitor. We recently joined their Alliance, didn’t we? That’ll be fun, what’s wrong with that?”
Kelt’ch gave an antennae swish of incredulity at that statement as all 4 feet of the insect looked back at her. How could she not see the problem?
“Ignoring the fact that Terrans are 6 feet of angry, terrifying primate from a world so heavy they could punch a hole through my chitin with their bare hands? It’s an admiral. Literally a top military man from a deathworlder species.”
“Huh, neat. Wonder why they’re coming here? Anyways, what’s the issue?”
The response from Parsk’l caused Kelt’ch to take flight a few inches off the ground in anxiety and annoyance, wings beating to keep the insect in the air as their four arms gestured wildly.
“What’s the issue?! What’s the issue?! You remember what a crap hole we own, right?! We don’t sweep too often because I’m convinced the dust is load bearing and keeping the entire station from breaking apart. When was the last time we got the grav generator serviced?”
“Well… I think that was a couple of decades ago when the service came free with the…”
“When did we last change the filters on the air filtration system?”
“It’s the first of the month right now, so… 10… 20…. When was the station built?”
“How much of the business passing through the station is illegal smugglers?”
“How can we really define illegal… OK I get your point. Maybe they won’t mind and will think it’s normal.”
Kelt’ch stopped flitting about, finally landing as he just stared at his business partner, anxiety giving way to an incredulous feeling, as if Parsk’l had said the most stupid of things.
“This is a top military mind of the Terrans. The last time someone pissed them off, they blew up one of the Hatil’s worlds!”
“Well the Hatil did declare war on them, and they kinda suck technologically. It won’t be that bad, right?”
“I’m not taking that risk!” Kelt’ch took on a more authoritative voice as he spoke, the change in demeanour suggesting action and a plan to be had. “We need to clean up, make sure everything is in tip-top shape, ensure nothing illegal is happening while the Terran is here… all in five days…”
All four of his hands held his head in despair as the size of the monumental task that lay ahead of the Kirken fully hit him.
God, the Terran Admiral is going to kill us.
—-----------------------
Kelt’ch could feel a silent rage building inside of him as he looked around the engine room. He’d not been down here in years, but the once shiny room was a travesty. The control panels and various diagnostic systems were somewhere under all of the mess, but every single surface was covered in… rubbish. Half worked on broken pieces of machinery, empty food containers and mould covered drinking glasses. The Kirken was lucky he could fly, otherwise he’d be wading knee-deep in the grime.
Even worse was the lack of… professionalism of the general working environment. Plastered all over the walls and various pieces of equipment were photos and stickers of a… not safe for work nature. At the centre of all of this sat the man who was supposed to be in charge, the Kirken engineer who was hired to maintain the station’s engines, seemingly unconcerned about the state of the room.
“What in the ever living scorch is all this!”
Kelt’ch’s voice rang out with rage as he stared upon the absolute disgrace that his station was in. Sure, Kelt’ch knew that the station was hardly a 5-star establishment, but this was… this was… there were no words for it.
“Dude, you need to chill, you’re harshing my vibe.”
Kelt’ch stared at the man who technically had the job title “Chief Engineer of Station Joreial’. Sure, the guy was cheap and had no real experience when he’d hired him 5 years ago, but this was…
“Are you high right now!”
“Ha ha, how can I be high when I’m not even flying… You look stressed, I got a little something for that, the guys down at the docking station got it for me.”
Kelt’ch felt like he was going to have an attack in at least one of his hearts, the stabbing chest pains increasing whenever he stared at the monstrosity that lay around him and the complete lack of care his engineer seemingly had.
“I’m stressed because this place is a mess, you are on drugs, and a Terran admiral is going to be here in five days!”
“Bro, don’t flutter dude. Terrans don’t exist, they’re an imaginary creation of the government to scare people into paying their taxes. That’s why I don’t pay tax to anyone.”
That was it, Kelt’ch flew over to the drugged out engineer, spinning the insect’s chair to face him as he screamed at the Kirken with the rage of a million suns.
“Terrans exist, and they are going to tear you apart with their deathworlder strength unless you fix this! I want this mess cleaned up, I want every log of every piece of maintenance done in the last two years, and get rid of these posters and stickers as well!”
“Duude, party foul!” The Engineer's antennae were twitching with worry as Kelt’ch was completely up in his face. “Those stickers are official engineer supplies, you can’t get rid of them.”
“That is not an Engineering piece of equipment. That is a sticker of a Kirken woman…. With her broodcapsule showing to the world!” Kelt’ch whispered the last part angrily. “Get rid of it!”
With that, the Kirken reached over to the offending sticker, tucking his insectoid fingers underneath the glue covered paper and starting to peel it off the console it was attached to. The room was plunged into darkness as the power went out, the sound of machines and various processes that kept the inhabitants of the station alive all going silent at once. A clicking clunking sound echoed through the room as the backup life support systems tried to spin to life, a few moments passing before those machines gave up, leaving the pair and every member of the station in the dark.
Slowly, with a feeling of dread and fear, Kelt’ch slapped the offensive sticker back where he found it, hoping that the life support systems would start running again. Thankfully, the lights turned back on with a lengthy stutter as the machines running the space station once again started to spin and churn.
“See dude, I told you that sticker was important.”
“Why is the entire ship’s power supply being held together with a sticker?! How long has this been going on!”
“Bro, it’s not just that sticker, it’s all the stickers. And like, it’s been working for two years, so who cares, it’s all good!”
Kelt’ch was suddenly a lot less concerned with the arrival of the Terran admiral, and a lot more concerned with the station exploding while he stood in it.
I know I haven't been paying too much attention to the nitty-gritty day to day running of the station, but is it really this bad?
“This is not good! Exactly what is wrong with the station that we have a load bearing sticker!”
“I dunno, it's kinda weird bro.”
“How do you not know! I hired you because you have a degree in Theoretical Warp Engineering, it is literally your job to know!”
“Dude, I said I have a Theoretical degree in Warp Engineering. Stop being so harsh dude.”
Kelt’ch was going to kill him. The Kirken was going to murder this supposed engineer. In a fit of rage he grabbed the idiot and lifted him out of the chair, wings beating furiously as he screamed at the fraud with every fibre of his being.
“You are going to clean this place up, you are going to work out what we need to do to fix this place, or by everything holy and righteous in this universe, when the Terran Admiral arrives I will feed you to the 6ft tall deathworlder primate! Do you understand!”
The quivering antennae on the ‘engineer’ stated that whatever drugs he was on, wasn’t enough to counteract the ‘harsh vibes’ that Kelt’ch was now giving off.
“I’ll… I’ll get right on that.”
—---------
Of all the places on Station Joreial, the kitchen was the closest to being decent. Before Kelt’ch had saved up enough to get into the world of investing and buy this station, he had worked in a variety of kitchens.
He didn't know much about engineering, or docking procedures, but he did know enough about kitchens to hire employees good enough to keep things running. It was probably the most important part of running a station: pilots and cargo haulers would forgive a lot of things if they coould get a decent meal and drinkable stimulants.
“So, listen up, we're going to be visited by the most important visitor this station has ever had in two days time.”
Two days. That's all he had left. The last three days had been a terrible blur of cleaning and trying to fix everything that had been left abandoned over the last decade.
Replacing the air filtration system filters had been a horrific task in claustrophobia, trying to test the emergency fire suppression system had caused a small fire, and Kelt’ch had discovered three janitors on the payroll who hadn't turned up for work for several years.
Still, the Kirken couldn't help but feel that he was starting to ‘win’ this battle.
“So, I want there to be the best platter we have to offer. I know you are all capable of making something to wow and impress.”
Kelt’ch could see a small amount of excitement building in the 5-man crew. The 4 Kirken and single amphibian Zorthian that made up the kitchen staff were all surprisingly talented for their place of work, and the chance to spread their culinary wings was one they didn't get often.
“This member is also a deathworlder, meaning even the dangerous stuff is allowed. Capsaicin, caffeine, arsenic, cyanide. I'm trusting in you all to give our guests the best meal he's eaten outside of his home planet!”
“Who is this mystery guest?” asked the head chef, antennae twitching with excitement as he asked.
“Our new galactic partners, a Terran. Large primate deathworlders, very strong, very powerful. Not only that, one of the pair will be an Admiral.”
The change in the demeanour of the cooking staff was immediate, the four Kirken losing all enthusiasm and glancing at each other with worry and fear. Each of them silently and without a word dropped whatever they were holding, and started to leave the kitchen, pushing past Kelt’ch in order to exit.
“Wait, what's wrong? Where are you going?!”
The station owner chased after the four, frantically trying to stop most of his kitchen staff from leaving as they made a beeline to the docking bay of the station.
“If you're worried about them being deathworlders, I've been told that they're perfectly safe! They don't eat people at all!”
At this his head cook turned to face Kelt’ch, his brief hopes that they were reconsidering abandoning their post dashed by the Kirken’s next words.
“Look, Kelt’ch, I'm gonna be honest with you because you're a real one. All of us have way too many warrants to be in the same system as an Admiral, let alone on the same station. If the job still exists in three days’ time then we’ll be back, but until then… I’ve got priors and missed court dates. I can’t be having an Admiral Deathworlder finding out about those.”
There was nothing Kelt’ch could say to the four as they took the first transport off the station they could, not even taking the time to retrieve their belongings, making good on their promise of placing as much distance between themselves and the eventual arrival of the Admiral, leaving the station owner alone and in despair.
With heavy hearts Kelt’ch made his way back to the kitchen, where the last remaining staff member stood, the Zorthian still silently doing prep work where he’d left him.
“Well, at least you’re still here.”
There was a moment as the amphibian looked up for a moment, confused, before fiddling with a device that sat in their ear.
“Sorry boss, did you need me? I had my translator turned off as I was listening to music. Did you say something?”
—--------------------
The day was finally here. Kelt’ch stood in the docking bay, his four hands being wrung together in worry as he watched the ship approach. The station was in… a passable state. The engines had been fixed to the point where he was relatively certain it wasn’t going to explode, catering had been ordered in to replace his kitchen staff, the Yult-mite infestation had been reduced to manageable levels, and the cargo haulers who had been running a Spice ring had been let go and driven off of the station. Kelt’ch had been awake for 5 solid days, and was only awake right now due to said Spice ring, but station Joreial was… passable. Not a 5-star establishment, not even nice looking, but… passable.
Maybe the Terran Admiral would be fooled.
Kelt’ch was alone as the Terran’s vessel docked, it’s name ‘Mostly Duct-tape’ painted on the side. Parsk’l had long since collapsed with exhaustion, leaving the single Kirken alone to greet the Admiral, but all gods be damned, he wasn’t going to fail at this last hurdle. The Terran’s ship was surprisingly small… ratty looking even, its paint fading and an outside that could have honestly done with a scrub down. Kelt’ch was expecting something far more grandiose, of silvers and golds, more like royalty.
Still, it did kind of make sense. The Terrans were a deathworlder species. They probably didn’t care for aesthetics and put a greater value in functionality. Maybe they’d be impressed with Station Joreial’s minimalist efficiency.
The door to the small vessel opened and Kelt’ch got to see his first Terran. They really were as scary as the descriptions made them out to be, towering over the average Kirken at over 6 feet tall. The primate that exited was wearing a spacesuit, but underneath the protective fabric he could clearly seethe powerful muscles that could tear through an exoskeleton like paper
The Terran stumbled out of his vessel, the flightless mammal taking a few steps down the exit ramp as they looked around for a few moments, before finally taking their helmet off. This was not what Kelt’ch was expecting…
Messy wild hair, an unshaven face, and bags under their eyes from a lack of self-care. Sure, Kelt’ch had never seen a Terran in the flesh before, but they had seen pictures of their diplomats and generals on the news. This figure did not look like them. This figure looked like 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag.
Confusion gave way to understanding as the Kirken remembered that the manifest had two names on it. Clearly this second person, a ‘Cameron Stanley’, was the Admiral’s bodyguard. Yes, such a rough individual made sense for a deathworlder tasked with protecting such an important person.
Kelt’ch flew over as fast as he could to greet the Terran, who was getting more and more confused. The Kirken had done their research, so Cameron had left his ship to a literal red carpet laid out in the middle of the docking bay, a small buffet of food placed to the side. Kelt’ch held out a hand in a traditional Terran greeting, which Cameron took and shook awkwardly, trying to blink past the absolute hangover he was nursing from the activities of the days before.
“Hello Terran delegate. This is station Joreial, and I am its owner, Kelt’ch. We are so glad you have decided to grace us with your presence.”
Cameron just stared blankly back at the strange insect, trying to look past his banging headache at a cargo bay which was just too bright.
“What?”
Kelt’ch paused for a few moments, before deciding that this bodyguard was clearly a man of few words, being a man of action. The Kirken guided an increasingly bewildered Cameron towards the buffet.
“The station is perfectly secure, safe and a state-of-the-art facility. You and your charge may enjoy this complimentary edible selection that I hope fulfils your deathworlder pallet!”
Cameron looked down at the selection of food laying before him. He gave an involuntary groan at the thought of eating in his current state. Just as well, since in an attempt to impress Kelt’ch had gone out of his way to procure deathworlder ready catering, making the vast majority of the food on offer very lethal to even Terrans.
“Oh I couldn't right now… but thanks!”
Another awkward pause, as both Terran and Kirken stood in silence, both waiting for the other to make the first move, a growing feeling of discontent emanating from both sides. Cameron was way too hung over to understand what was going on, so Kelt’ch had to break the silence first.
“So as you can see, everything is safe. Will the Admiral be exiting soon?”
“Who?”
The Terran turned back to look at his ship, confused, wondering if he'd picked up an extra passenger during the last week’s events, while Kelt’ch started to get worried that this was somehow a different Terran vessel.
“The second person on your manifest. An ‘Admiral CleansALot’.”
Cameron gave a laugh at that.
“Oh yeah! Well, this isn’t really his vibe. Little guy would get lost out here.”
“It really is no trouble, we can make sure that the admiral stays safe.”
Cameron gave another laugh at that, the idea of this insect protecting the Admiral making the Terran giggle, fading away as he realized the Kirken was being serious.
“Wait, you’re not joking? The Admiral can’t come out in this environment.”
There was a pause as Kelt’ch understood those words, the insect eventually deciding to get angry at them, insulted even. 5 days ago if he’d known the Admiral was too stuck up to even leave his ship, he would have been overjoyed. But after 5 days of tireless work… god-damn it he wanted some respect.
“What, am I not good enough to even be graced with his presence? I know this isn’t the best station or the most famous, but to not even give the briefest of greetings… It’s rather very rude, and shows the Terrans in a bad light.”
At this Cameron gave a single raised eyebrow, a smirk hovering over his lips.
“You want to see the Admiral? Sure. Just follow me and you can meet him!”
That was what they did, Kelt’ch following the Terran into his vessel, a dingy, dirty thing. Smaller than expected, lacking maintenance or care, a simple cargo hauler. If anything it was worse than the station, filled with empty beer cans and needing a severe deep clean. A small part of the Kirken’s mind was putting something together that this wasn’t right, but the annoyance of being snubbed by the Terran Admiral was clouding out that part of his judgement.
Finally, with an overactive flourish, Cameron pointed to the ‘esteemed’ Admiral, announcing him with an over enthusiastic and regal voice.
“Now introducing, for the station owner's pleasure, the honourable ‘Admiral CleansALot’!”
The cleaning drone trundled along the floor completely oblivious to the two people watching it, bouncing off of the walls as it did so, the tricorn hat taped to the top wobbling as it moved. Kelt’ch just stared at it for a moment, feeling all of the life drain out of his body as he watched the little mindless drone go about its cleaning.
“Is this a trick? This cannot be…”
“This is Admiral CleansALot. The ship wouldn’t run without the little dude, honestly he’s the real brains of the operation!”
Kelt’ch turned to look at the Terran, who was looking rather smug with himself.
“But why? I’ve spent the last five days doing nothing but getting ready for an Admiral to visit, and I find that you’ve given a cleaning done a military rank! But why?!”
The Terran paused for a moment, seemingly considering their next response.
“Honestly? It’s kinda funny.”
An unholy scream erupted from Kelt’ch’s thorax as the pressure of the last five days erupted in one moment. Maybe it was his exhaustion, maybe it was the illegal substances he was using in order to stay awake. But the Kirken did something he thought he’d never do, and launched himself in a rage at Cameron, trying to wrap his hands around the stupid primate deathworlder to throttle the idiot.

Memo to all Terran Citizens travelling outside Terran Conclave space.
Stop naming cleaning drones with official military or diplomatic titles. It confuses people.

Cafe Casino – Expert Review 2024
Café Casino was established in 2016 and is a great site for slot and table game enthusiasts. It does not offer a sportsbook or poker room, but there are plenty of options to keep gamblers entertained, including a live dealer platform. Deposit methods include cryptocurrency, credit cards, Match Pay, and wire transfers. One of the great things about Café Casino is the fast crypto payouts. I love that you can have your winnings within 15 minutes.

Café Casino stands out for its selection of Hot Drop Jackpots, progressive slots, bingo, and poker games. I also like the practice mode it offers for every game – except the live dealer games. The $1,000 fun money balance is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with a game before wagering.

Cafe Casino User Interface

My first impression of Café Casino is it’s a simple online casino without much fluff. Everything the site has to offer is viewable on the main page.
Café Casino has a clean, well-organized user interface. There’s not a discernible theme – but everything is easy to find. A search feature is at the top left of every page, and the live chat bubble is at the bottom right. Join and Login buttons are in the top fold, along with a drop-down menu with casino games, promotions, and banking methods.
There’s a slider menu with the casino’s promotions. Below that, there’s another menu with the casino’s game categories. A final menu resides at the bottom of the page with a Help Center and various technical things like terms and conditions. In between the menus are vibrant displays of casino games just waiting for you to play.
Notifications are found in your user profile under messages. You can also deposit or withdraw, see your transactions, and view your rewards in this area.

Games at Cafe Casino

There are 170+ casino games to play, with new titles added frequently. The largest concentration of games is slots, but there’s also a selection of blackjack, table games, video poker, specialty games, jackpot games – including Hot Drop titles, and a live dealer casino. Café Casino uses reputable software providers Rival and RealTime Gaming.
I found these popular titles:
  • American Jet Set
  • Tiki Tower
  • Reels of Fortune
  • A Night With Cleo
  • Golden Buffalo
  • 777 Deluxe
One of the things I think Café Casino does well is the free demo mode. Every game – except the live dealer casino – has a practice play feature with a fun money balance of $1,000. I personally love this feature for trying new games.
The games have a full description, including rules, how to play, a pay table, and customizable settings like volume control. Although you can’t mark games as favorites, it does keep track of the ones you play.
I am a huge fan of jackpot games, so I was happy to see at least 35 titles. I especially like that it’s not just slot jackpots but also has three poker titles and three bingo titles.

Slots

There are 130+ slot titles at Café Casino with fun features like free spins, scatters, wilds, and bonus rounds. I counted 29 progressive jackpots and seven Hot Drop Jackpot titles. Hot Drops are fun to play because the payouts are huge – I’m talking life-changing jackpots of over 100K.
Slot variations I found include:
  • 3-Reel
  • 5-Reel
  • Video Slots
  • 3D Slots
  • Progressive Jackpots
  • Hot Drop Jackpots

Blackjack

There are eight blackjack variations. No worries if you’re unsure how to play this classic 21-card game. Café Casino provides an overview with instructions, rules, and an explanation of what the various buttons do.
I sampled the following titles during my Café Casino review:

Table Games

There are 20 table games to play at Café Casino. This is where the poker games reside – there are seven titles. In addition to poker, you also have a choice of the following:
  • Baccarat
  • Roulette
  • Craps
  • Teen Patti
  • Andar Bahar
  • Lucky Wheel
  • Roll the Dice
All the games in the table category provide details on how to play, rules, how to win, and practice mode with a fun money balance of $1,000.
If you want a casino with a more comprehensive poker selection, including a designated poker room with bonuses and tournaments, BetOnline is a good choice.

Video Poker

I found eight video poker titles with instructions, rules, and a pay table. I used the practice mode feature on these six titles:

Specialty Games

I felt the specialty game category was worth mentioning for its bingo games. If bingo’s your thing, there are seven titles to entertain you, including three progressive titles. Fun features include turbo mode, bonus games, and the option to purchase additional numbers.
In addition to bingo, there’s one Keno game and an arcade game. If you’re looking for online scratch cards, Wild Casino has 14 in its specialty games collection.

Live Dealer

Café Casino’s Live Dealer streams live video and audio with a real-life dealer, so you feel like you’re in a retail casino. There’s also a live chat feature to communicate with the dealer.
The platform is open 24/7. All you need to do is take a seat at the table and make a wager. Table limits range from a $1 minimum to a $10,000 maximum bet. I appreciate the large betting range – whether your bankroll is small or large, anyone can play.
There are 40+ tables with the following games:
  • Roulette: American & European
  • Blackjack: Early Payout
  • Baccarat: Super 6

Bonuses & Promotions at Café Casino

The bonuses and promotions at Café Casino are decent. Overall, I give this area of the casino 4 out of 5 stars.
Here’s what I found:
  • Two welcome bonuses – one exclusively for bitcoin users
  • Mystery Reload Bonus – delivered to your account every Thursday, terms and conditions apply
  • Referral bonus
  • Café Casino rewards program with cashback on weekly losses
  • Exclusive perks for crypto players
The wager requirements for both welcome bonuses are 40x and all minimum deposits for bonuses are $20.
Here’s what you need to know:
  • Bonuses cannot be used toward Gold Rush Gus, Live Dealer games, Super Diamond Mine, ThunderCrash arcade game, and all Hot Drop Jackpots
  • Craps does not count toward wager requirements

Café Casino Welcome Bonuses

There are two Café Casino welcome bonuses, and they both provide a substantial boost to your bankroll.
  • 350% Match Bitcoin Welcome Bonus up to $2,500
  • 250% Match Credit Card Welcome Bonus up to $1,500

Café Casino does not require bonus codes.

$100 Referrals

Café Casino’s referral bonus nets you $100 in bonus cash for every friend who signs up and makes a deposit. If the referred friend makes their first deposit using Bitcoin, you receive an additional $25 for a total of $125 in bonus cash.
The great thing about this bonus is the unlimited referrals, which means you could build a substantial bankroll if your friends like playing online casino games. In order to use this bonus, you must make at least one deposit of $20.
Here’s how it works:
  • Log into your account, click on your profile button and select $100 Referrals from the menu
  • Copy the URL Café Casino provides and email it to your friends
  • After your friend joins and makes a minimum deposit of $20, $100 is added to your account
In order to withdraw the bonus funds, a 50x playthrough is required.

Cafe Casino Rewards

I was happy to see Cafe Casino automatically enrolls you in the Café Casino Perks rewards program when you activate your account. One less step toward earning a bankroll boost is a big plus in my opinion. Perk points are earned for each dollar wagered based on the chosen game type.
Let’s look at a few examples of how you can earn points:
  • Slots: 5 perk points per $1
  • Video Poker: 1 perk point per $1
  • Table Games: 1 perk point per $1
  • Specialty Games: 15 perk points per $1
I was thrilled to see the program includes additional weekly bonuses and exclusive promotional offers. You can also receive cashback on weekly losses. You can claim points as you play and accrue points just for playing your favorite games.
There’s also a Crypto Exclusive Perks program that rewards players who bank solely with crypto. In addition to the Café Casino Rewards, players receive additional benefits like weekly free spins and 15,000 perk points on weekly deposits.

Café Casino’s Banking Options

Café Casino banking methods include cryptocurrency, credit cards, Match Pay, player transfers, Check by Courier, and bank wire. Cryptocurrency offers the best value for both deposits and withdrawals. There are zero fees and payout times for most crypto methods are within an hour!
Match Pay is also great if you’re depositing and withdrawing less than $1,000. The payout time is instant – which is unusual in the online casino market. Match Pay options at Café Casino consist of PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.
The charts below include everything you need to know about banking at Café Casino.

*Bank transfer fees were not available at the time of my review.

Café Casino Customer Support

Café Casino has three contact methods for customer support. I have to say, I was disappointed with the live chat feature. I asked a question about depositing with Litecoin and was directed to the Café Community because no agents were available to help me. Unfortunately, I did not find the answer I needed there either.
There is a Help Center with commonly asked questions and a video tutorial library if you need immediate assistance.
Live Chat: The live chat feature is found in the bottom right corner of the screen and appears as a purple conversation bubble.
Phone: Customer service is available 24/7 at 1-888-364-1850
Email: Email support is available through a contact form in the help section. Posted response times are 72 hours. In order to access this feature, you must select No at the end of a FAQ response. A prompt with an option to email then appears.

Safety & Security

Café Casino uses 256-bit encryption and SSL certification to keep your account and personal information safe and secure. It holds its license with Curacao eGaming and has been in business since 2016.
Casino games are provided by reputable software providers Rival and RealTime Gaming.

Mobile Experience

Café Casino is mobile-friendly and compatible with Android and iOS. There is no app to download. Instead, you simply type the URL into your phone or tablet’s browser, and the casino appears just as it does on a desktop.
Everything is exactly the same regardless of which device you are using. Café Casino is compatible with iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows.

Café Casino Final Verdict 4.5/5

I recommend Café Casino to anyone who enjoys playing online slots and table games. I love the variety of Hot Drop Jackpots and progressive jackpot games. I also enjoyed the casino game practice feature. Each game comes with a $1,000 play money balance. It’s a great way to test new games or give yourself a refresher on old favorites before wagering real money.
The best bonus is the 350% Match Bitcoin Welcome Bonus up to $2,500. Café Casino stands out for its instant payout options and unique offering of progressive bingo games.
The response time of the live chat customer service feature needs improvement, but overall Café Casino gets my stamp of approval.

2024.05.31 15:11 KingJawless AITAH for basically taking over the family home and kicking out my mom and sister?

A lot of things happened in this story, it's not just one event but a whole set of things that nag the back of my brain. I feel like an asshole sometimes, but I want to know if other people diagree or just how much of an asshole I am. No-on in my life thinks I'm an asshole for this except my mom and sister.
Eighteen years ago, the story really begins when my parents bought a butcher shop my grandfather owned when he went bankrupt. I was around 20, my sister 13. The split wasn’t entirely unexpected; my dad, then 41, had a history of infidelity. Despite the turmoil, I stayed in the family home, a three-bedroom house in the suburbs, to care for my sister. I took on the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning, gardening, and maintaining the pool. I also covered all food and utilities for us and our pets—two Dobermans and a cat—while working full-time.
My dad bought a butcher shop in the city, about a 40-minute drive away, and both my parents rented an apartment above it to be closer to the business. My mom, who started working there doing admin and sales, would come home most weekends, initially to clean the pool and spend time with her pets. I had refused to clean the pool due to a faulty filter and an automatic cleaner that constantly got stuck and leaked.
Seventeen years ago, my parents hired a young female apprentice, a couple of years younger than me. She soon broke up with her boyfriend and needed a place to stay, so my mom offered her the spare room in their apartment. I later learned that the apprentice wore casual, loose-fitting clothes and bras around the apartment, which my mom found provocative but sounded like the typical comfortable clothes a woman would wear in her home. A bit odd around a married man, but no-one addressed the issue at the time.
Around 16.5 years ago, my sister left to live with our parents transferring to a new school, falling in with the wrong crowd and rarely coming home. She eventually dropped out of school and got caught stealing (She said a friend asked her to put something in her bag and they left a store. My sister did have some learning issues so I wouldn't have been surprised if she was too slow to understand), leading her to pursue further education as a beautician and becoming good friends with the apprentice. During this time, I began paying rent since i lived there alone.
Fifteen years ago, I received a call that my mom was in the hospital. She had walked in on my dad and the apprentice having sex, triggering a mental health crisis that landed her in the hospital for a month or two. After her release, she moved back into the family home, followed by my sister, who was still studying. They lived with me for a few years, during which I covered all household expenses and stopped paying rent at my mom’s insistence. Despite my efforts to help my mom establish a routine, her mental state deteriorated. My sister, meanwhile, was frequently out with friends, quitting and starting new training courses eventually settling on hairdressing.
During this period, my dad claimed he couldn’t afford the mortgage without my rent. Since I was having trouble finding myself a place and my mom and sister were living there, I decided to buy the family home. My parents had made poor financial choices, leaving a significant amount owing on the house, so we agreed I would buy it for the remaining loan amount, rounded up to the nearest $100k.
My mom began dating a younger man, the postman from the butcher shop’s route, (Before my parents separation he was actually encouraged by my dad who lied that my mom was single at the time). I was quite perturbed that both my parents were in relationships with people younger than me. Over the next few years, my mom’s mental state worsened, becoming a recluse during the week and engaging in uncharacteristic behaviors like clubbing, drinking, and smoking on weekends. She started studying nursing but quit after a year upon learning her sister was doing the same. I often took time off work to help her with various appointments.
My sister got a hairdressing apprenticeship and moved out with a boyfriend, then back in to my house, then out again with a roommate. She occasionally paid rent or bought groceries but was often away. I became more withdrawn, completely losing touch with friends (I had already started losing touch when I was working and the sole carer for my sister) and avoiding all social interactions outside of work except for buying needed groceries. I was feeling down and had no help from my mom/sister and no-one else to turn to so after feeling fed up of doing everything alone I let the house fall into disarray, with overgrown yards, a pool turned pond (Literally. Somehow frogs and fish moved in even though it was a saltwater pool), and a kitchen overflowing with dirty dishes. I cleaned up after myself, and let everyone else do their own thing. My mom's room was filthy with clothes and food plates strewn across the floor. My sister when living with us would leave dirty pots and plates out for a week till I cleaned them angrily on the weekend, or leave her washed clothes in the washing machine for a few days getting a strong stale smell.
Eleven years ago, I sought medical help with therapy and tried different prescribed medications that didn't seem to do anything so I ultimately decided to force myself to change without help. I began by ignoring the loud voice telling me to stay home and started going out for walks in public spaces first keeping to myself, then started doing solo activities like bowling or going to the cinema, eventually moving to online dating for the first time. I started feeling happier and more motivated to clean the house mainly to benefit my own state of mind.
After about a year, I was still having difficulty when in my house so I decided I needed something more drastic to actually move past the depressing trauma and put the past behind me. I informed my mom and sister that i planned to move out and sell the house since my finances would not allow me to rent and still afford paying the mortgage for my mom and sister to live at that house. I wasn't in a particular rush so I gave them about a year to find new living arrangements, and they seemed to be ok and understand the motivation behind my decision.
The last real conversation I had with my mom was when she stumbled in drunk one morning and talked my ear off for hours ranting about things that haven't gone her way while being too drunk to open her eyes at all. My sister called my uncle for help, and he took her to his place. I continued cleaning the house and hired handymen to fix it up for sale. I moved my mom’s and any of my dad’s remaining belongings to the garage for my mom to pickup.
That’s when the nasty text messages began from my mom and sister, accusing me of throwing them out and blaming my girlfriend. The decision to sell the house was entirely mine. I had been going over the idea for years trying to figure out if I could keep the house and move out to rent or buy a small apartment. I did not have the finances to support my mom and sister while also trying to restart my life that has been on hold for about 10 years. I had to prioritize my mental health (I got some advice from a friend that to help others you need to help yourself first. The saying has always stuck with me and I still think about it now) and restart my life. I sold the house, giving my mom a portion of the sale proceeds. Things worsened, and my mom only contacted me via text. I remained on relatively okay terms with my sister.
Eight years ago, I proposed to my girlfriend, and my sister helped pick out the ring. My mom called my fiancée a gold digger. My sister made a scene at our engagement party (I think understandably so. It's the kind of thing you'd have your family at and because ours broke up neither of our parents were there), and my mom didn’t attend. More toxic messages followed from my mom.
After seeing all the crazy txts attacking me, I felt like my parents marriage was a lot worse than I originally thought. Both of them sucked, so maybe my dad wasn't entirely at fault. I decided to reach out and we started talking again. I invited him to the wedding, but he was just a guest and not part of any of the ceremony, small steps. He has lost most (all?) of my respect for him, but at least he doesn't attack me when i try to speak with him.
My mom and sister decided not to attend the wedding (I still sent invitations even after all hate messages. To be honest I was relieved because otherwise I was worried they would try to ruin the day), and after years of trying to be understanding, I was ready to move forward without them. My uncle encouraged me to keep in touch, so I sent weekly texts to my mom and sister, updating them on my life, but received no replies. After two years, my sister angrily told me to leave them alone, so I did.
Four years ago, my sister moved out with another boyfriend and her daughter. My uncle kicked my mom out after witnessing her self-destructive behavior firsthand ruining her living space with filth. She refused to get help or move on with life, and would dwell in the errors of the past. My dad's cheating, her parents getting divorced and splitting the family, inappropriate behavior form her uncle, shitty relatives putting her down. As far as I know these are all true events, but most of them happened when I was a child or earlier and she wouldn't listen to us pleading for her to seek help with them.
I kept semi-regularly in touch with my dad, occasionally catching up in person. He split with the apprentice he had an affair with shortly after she had a baby with him. Her choice from what I heard. I have never met my half sister.
I’m now happily married with two kids, comfortably employed, and living in a suitable house for our family. I keep in touch with my mom’s siblings and my dad but haven’t heard from my mom or sister since my sister’s angry text, except for a ranting email from her a year ago. Though I thought I had moved on, the email stirred feelings of unrest, and I sometimes wonder if I am the asshole, and if so just how much of an asshole. What do you think?
