2024.06.01 16:13 Big-Potential4581 Seems to me someone (whale) conglomerate or what have you is laying down a serious gauntlet.

What if they're not supposed to close. Hear me out. To me, this feels like a major buyer of the 20 call options is trying to close out their inherited short position, and while doing so, it causes a few to go bankrupt by being stubborn.
I don't know about you, but if I was short positioned and I kept seeing non-stop 20 calls being bought up 5000 contracts at a time, and they kept buying the same strike price week after week then they bought 5000 more contracts at 30 I'd be nervous as fuk.
Seems to me someone (whale) conglomerate or what have you is laying down a serious gauntlet. There's bound to be someone holding those bags. (Not retail)
We're talking about some serious money moves right now. Someone is buying 500k batches of calls at a clip, and they are not hiding this fact.
They wanted the world to see it clearly or they wouldn't have been done in this fashion. *There's so many ways to hide these trades, but they didn't hide them in any way. They didn't break them up. They didn't enter multiple strikes.
*In fact, they are extremely confident that the 20 call and now the 30s will be expected to be there @ that strike plus or they wouldn't be buying 10s of millions of dollars as openly as they are.
Are the MM about to go to battle with SHF. I think so. I think this has already started. Only this time, there's one MM that understands the plan and is in 100% with that plan.
Somebody flipped, and if you can't see that, this is now a power move to at least bust up one major short position that, in turn, has a dominant domino finger ready to push this whole thing over. * This would create massive buying pressure, but right now, this is controlled ...it's staying in a channel right now that is bullish, IMHO.
Someone has a short position that is too big to fail, and now has been throwing everything they've got into closing it. Only they need a big friendly MM to back this play.
This is all speculation at this point. I'm speaking out loud, but what if the plan is to let GME run hard from 20 only to start this whole thing over at a much higher price target.
In other words, they let this run up based on the huge options contracts being bought. Along the way, they catch some of these shares by exercising, but those FTDs are gonna be high %. Continuing the buying pressure much higher.
If the stock breaks loose, they stand to make even more on those contracts selling those back and now using that cash hoard to buy more shares in the open market.
At some point in time for whomever survives, this run (kill shot implemented) some shorts will die on the vine.
The remaining monsters that are still alive would what? You guessed it, flip the strategy, and begin a new short position at a way higher price like they have in the past.
We don't have all the information at this point in time, but whoever has all those call contracts equating to 100s of millions will have to file. They will be over 5% owners of Gamestop, maybe even more than 5%.
Hopium? Maybe. But there's a lot of information lining up to support this or something very close to this IMHO.
If you have time this weekend, I recommend you go through Richard Newtons YouTube page and look through his amazing Excel sheet concerning options and swap data. It's extensive, but I agree with him. There's a repeated cycle, and now we could be in the most explosive portion of this cycle, considering all this new information concerning these massive 20 and 30 call options.
*We have never seen anything like this before. Not exactly like this. It's very similar to the Jan 2021 setup *(chart wise), but this actually looks better to me.
This is not investment advice in any way. This is my humble opinion with a little Hopium, current information, and massive data pool on swaps and option information from the past and present view.

2024.06.01 15:42 CappeMugiwara VBA code to speed up the process of assigning an image to each dot of a scatter plot

I don't know if it is possible but I want to ask the community. I have several scatter plots on my Excel sheet. Each scatter plot has multiple series identifying a single dot on the chart. For each dot, I manually assigned an image. All the scatter plots have the same settings so, for example, the first series of all charts always has the same image. Maybe in the future, I will need to change the images, so I am wondering if there is a way to write a VBA code to automatize this process. I don't have the skills to write a VBA code so I am in your hands if this could be possible. Thanks in advance!

2024.06.01 15:20 throwawayanxietiee looking for dietician/ nutritionist for unintentional weight loss

i apologize if this isn’t the right place for this.
since october of last year i’ve been sick and have unintentionally lost a decent amount of weight for anyone but for my height as well. i’ve been underweight for several weeks atleast now and multiple doctors have commented on my ‘wasting away’ or noted my thinness in my chart but we’ve not discovered a reason why and i feel like i’m going insane between managing my other symptoms and trying (but harshly failing) to gain weight.
im looking for a nutritionist or dietician (virtual) why may be able to help take some of the stress off me. insurance accepted preferred. im just not sure where to even start searching for a specialist- i have my gallbladder out as well and take cholestyramine daily which i’d also like them to have any knowledge on.
im just not sure where to begin my search. thanks in advance for any suggestions

We will explore the different types of charts, time frames, and how to use them effectively on TradingView.com. By the end of this chapter, you will have a solid understanding of how to use charts and time frames to analyze and trade the markets.

What are Charts and Time Frames?

Charts and time frames are the foundation of technical analysis. A chart is a graphical representation of a security's price action over a specific period. Time frames, on the other hand, refer to the duration of the data displayed on the chart. In other words, time frames determine how much data is displayed on the chart and how often the data is updated.

Types of Charts

There are several types of charts, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The most common types of charts are:
1. Line Chart: A line chart connects the closing prices of a security over a specific period, creating a continuous line. This chart is useful for identifying trends and patterns.
2. Candlestick Chart: A candlestick chart displays the high, low, open, and close prices of a security over a specific period. Each candle represents a specific time period, and the color of the candle indicates whether the price closed higher or lower than the previous day's close.
3. Bar Chart: A bar chart is similar to a candlestick chart but does not display the open and close prices. Instead, it shows the high and low prices, as well as the open and close prices.
4. Renko Chart: A Renko chart is a type of chart that uses a unique algorithm to create a chart that is not based on time. Instead, it uses price movements to create a chart that is more focused on the price action.

Time Frames

Time frames determine the duration of the data displayed on the chart. Common time frames include:
1. 1-minute: A 1-minute chart displays the price action over a 1-minute period.
2. 5-minute: A 5-minute chart displays the price action over a 5-minute period.
3. 15-minute A 15-minute chart displays the price action over a 15-minute period.
4. 30-minute: A 30-minute chart displays the price action over a 30-minute period.
5. 1-hour: A 1-hour chart displays the price action over a 1-hour period.
6. 4-hour: A 4-hour chart displays the price action over a 4-hour period.
7. Daily: A daily chart displays the price action over a 1-day period.
8. Weekly: A weekly chart displays the price action over a 1-week period.
9. Monthly: A monthly chart displays the price action over a 1-month period.

Backtesting and Evaluating Trading Ideas

As a trader, it's essential to test and refine your trading ideas before implementing them in live markets. Backtesting and evaluating your trading ideas can help you identify potential flaws, optimize your strategy, and increase your chances of success. In this chapter, we'll explore the process of backtesting and evaluating trading ideas using TradingView.com, a popular platform for charting and backtesting trading strategies.

What is Backtesting?

Backtesting is the process of applying a trading strategy to historical market data to evaluate its performance. It allows you to test your trading idea on past data to see how it would have performed in real-time. By backtesting your strategy, you can:
1. Identify potential flaws in your strategy
2. Optimize your strategy for better performance
3. Refine your strategy to improve its accuracy
4. Evaluate the strategy's risk-reward ratio

Why Backtest?

Backtesting is crucial for several reasons:
1. Risk management: Backtesting helps you identify potential risks associated with your trading strategy.
2. Strategy optimization: Backtesting allows you to refine your strategy to improve its performance.
3. Performance evaluation: Backtesting enables you to evaluate the performance of your strategy and make data-driven decisions.
4. Confidence booster: Backtesting gives you confidence in your strategy, reducing the risk of emotional trading decisions.

How to Backtest on TradingView.com

TradingView.com offers a range of tools and features for backtesting trading ideas. Here's a step-by-step guide to get you started:
1. Create a new chart: Open TradingView.com and create a new chart for the asset you want to backtest.
2. Select the data range: Choose the time period for which you want to backtest your strategy. You can select a specific date range or use the default settings.
3. Add the strategy: Click on the "Indicators" tab and add the strategy you want to backtest. You can use built-in indicators or create your own custom indicators.
4. Set the parameters: Configure the strategy's parameters, such as the number of bars to look back, the number of trades to take, and the stop-loss levels.
5. Run the backtest: Click the "Run" button to start the backtest. TradingView.com will apply your strategy to the selected data range and provide performance metrics.
6. Analyze the results: Review the backtest results, including the strategy's profit/loss, drawdown, and other performance metrics.

Evaluating Trading Ideas

Evaluating your trading idea is a crucial step in the backtesting process. Here are some key metrics to consider:
1. Profit/Loss: Calculate the total profit or loss generated by your strategy.
2. Drawdown: Measure the maximum loss experienced by your strategy.
3. Sharpe Ratio: Calculate the Sharpe Ratio to evaluate the strategy's risk-adjusted performance.
4. Sortino Ratio: Use the Sortino Ratio to evaluate the strategy's risk-adjusted performance, focusing on the maximum drawdown.
5. Information Coefficient: Calculate the Information Coefficient to evaluate the strategy's ability to generate profits.

Best Practices for Backtesting

To get the most out of backtesting, follow these best practices:
1. Use a robust data set: Ensure your data is accurate and free from errors.
2. Test multiple scenarios: Test your strategy on different time frames, assets, and market conditions.
3. Monitor performance metrics: Keep track of your strategy's performance metrics and adjust as needed.
4. Refine your strategy: Continuously refine your strategy to improve its performance.
5. Avoid overfitting: Be cautious of overfitting, where your strategy performs well on the training data but poorly on new data.

Conclusion

Backtesting and evaluating trading ideas is a crucial step in the trading process. By using TradingView.com and following best practices, you can refine your trading strategy, optimize its performance, and increase your chances of success. Remember to evaluate your strategy's performance using relevant metrics and refine it continuously to improve its performance. 2024.06.01 11:02 TheDevanLeos Wanted to hate it but….

Picked up a new Rm2 today.
First minute I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep it.
Set up notes and a bulletin journal, download ed a hobonichi template, took all my daily notes with it.
AND IM IN LOVE NOW.
If you’re on the fence like I was, let me tell you why I love this device:
  1. It seriously replaces my notebooks and journals, and allows me to keep my personal, business, and other notes in one place.
  2. The lack of distractions is perfect for me. I get distracted when using my iPad (notification comes up, etc)
  3. It really does feel like writing on paper, and makes we want to switch my note taking process entirely to writing instead of typing. (I’ve noticed just from today with the notes I took on my RM2, that I remember them better than I typically do with typed notes.)
I would not compare this device to an IPad. I have both and would say that rm2 is specifically for notes and journaling.
If you’re easily distracted or unorganized sometimes but like to write notes or journal on paper, and have the budget, get this device.
Finally don’t have to worry about having 5 different note books, 3 different journals — well I still have multiple notebooks and journals, but they are all on my RM2.

2024.06.01 10:53 reddit_4_info Can a hospital tell the family member who brought their parent to the ER that they must leave until visiting hours if parent is admitted to a room?

Edit: A few hours later. Your responses and assumptions are surprising and alarming. Patient cannot advocate on their own behalf due to age (mid nineties) and additionally due to narcotics administered for pain. I have watched this hospital mix up charts and (to their credit) admit to the mistake. I have watched this hospital appropriately order a change in statins following a stroke and then still administer the previous “incorrect” statin at the previous dosage. I politely pointed it out and they corrected their mistake. It is many hours since I posted this and they apologized and asked me to stay and I’m still here. Your responses are really quite biased, opinionated and unprofessional. People like you are the reason people like me don’t trust you. FWIW: Multiple nurses at this hospital have told me that they would NEVER go to the hospital and I said “why”. The response, “because we know what goes on here”. Actually, this is one of the best hospitals in the country. The fact that their administrators came to me and asked me to stay should tell you all you need to know.

Gamestop Squeeze Analysis in comparison to FFIE

I've seen a lot of comments about how long the squeeze may take and speculation about the peak price. I'll quickly add a comparison to GME squeeze:
A ChatGPT Summary of the squeeze:

  7. December 8, 2020: GameStop's Q3 earnings report causes a drop in after-hours trading.
  8. January 4, 2021: GameStop stock closes at $17.25.
  9. January 11, 2021: Ryan Cohen joins the board, and the stock closes at $19.94.
  10. January 13, 2021: GameStop stock jumps to an intraday high of $38.65, closing at $31.40.
  11. January 19, 2021: Citron Research criticizes GameStop, stock closes at $39.36.

  20. February 19, 2021: GameStop falls to its post-squeeze low, closing at $40.59.
  21. March 12, 2021: GameStop reaches a post-squeeze high, closing at $264.52.
Source: https://www.thestreet.com/investing/stocks/a-timeline-of-the-gamestop-short-squeeze#:~:text=January%2022%2C%202021%3A%20GME's%20short,50%25%20to%20close%20at%20%2465.01
Now, its really important to note that on January 28th, Robinhood and other stock brokers stopped allowing GME from being bought. This is the primary reason that the price did not continue to increase past the pre-market high of $500.
Key points:
1) It took MONTHS for GME to be squeezed to its peak, and there were plenty of highs and lows.
2) GME was shorted around 20-25%
3) Last couple of weeks as FFIE share price increased 7000%, it was only shorted 9% (which is crazy)
4) FFIE is currently shorted at 30-35%
5) Subjectively, I believe that FFIE is heavily undervalued as well. GME was more fairly valued to the company benchmark in comparison.

How high can FFIE go based on Market Capitalization?

Okay cool, so how high can this bad-boy go? I'm gonna do some pretty beginner math, financial experts can correct me if I am wrong here:
Current Figures for FFIE:
Maximum Stock Price: Desired Market Cap / Shares Outstanding
Now, as we all know: The more we buy the more the Market Cap increases and the price of the shares increase. Its as easy as that.
For shits and giggles, lets look at some other EV manufacturers:
Cool. Lets say that we are able to capture Rivian's market cap. In our equation:
  1. Desired Market Cap: $10 billion
  2. Shares Outstanding: 450 million
Maximum Stock Price = $11 billion / 450 million = ~$24
Thats pretty fun right! How about if we take as much market capitalization as Tesla?
Maximum Stock Price = $558 billion / 450 million = ~$1240
Looking at just these numbers, it seems like the possible range of the squeeze could land us as high as in the thousands if we are lucky. For shits and giggles, lets look at how GME's market cap increased during the squeeze:
https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/GME/gamestop/market-cap
The market cap for Gamestop in May 2020 was $220 million. Right before the squeeze early January, the market share was $1.15 billion. The squeeze shot it up to $21 billion.
AMC went up even higher, starting from $200-$400 million in May 2020, rising to $47 billion in its peak in June 2021.
https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/AMC/amc-entertainment-holdings/market-cap
Putting those two in our equation, we get the following Maximum Stock Price:
GME: $21 billion / 450 million = ~$45
AMC: $47 billion / 450 million = ~$104
Feel free to do more analysis with other historical shorts. Some have higher numbers and ratios than GME and AMC, and some have fewer. Using my best estimate as a dumb ape and using just AMC and GME, we can definitely hit between $45 - $104. Based on the EV industry and analyzing the TSLA squeeze, I would like to believe that we can push $200 and $300. While unlikely, the stock can push to possibly even to the $1000's. BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON US HOLDING AND OVERCOMING THIRD-PARTY INTERFERENCE.
Finally, even if you miss the peak, history has shown that the price of the stock tends to linger quite nicely post-squeeze. This may be due to the investor optimism in the company, but there will be multiple exit points and bounces regardless of the squeeze. The easiest thing to do is to HODL and patiently wait. Let the feels guide you, not hedgie interns.
Key points:
1) FFIE has low market capitalization right now, at $256 million
2) Industry manufacturers have capitialization that ranges from $6.5 billion to $558 billion,
3) If FFIE were to reach those manufacturers market capitalization, the price range would be $14 - $1240 per share
4) GME and AMC jumped market capitalization from around $200 million to $21 and $47 billion after their respect squeezes
5) If FFIE were to reach GME and AMC market capitalization, the price would be $45 and $104 respectively.
6) KEEP IN MIND THAT GME HAD LESS SHORT INTEREST AND DIFFERENT INDUSTRY. IF FFIE PUSHES INDUSTRY CONFIDENCE, THIS STOCK CAN REACH THE HIGHER END.
7) IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOLDING AND OVERCOMING THIRD-PARTY INTERFERENCE!
TLDR: HODL my fellow apes, diamond hands.
Financial experts, feel free to correct me if I am wrong in here. NFA

2024.06.01 09:05 will_try_not_to Stupid Linux Tricks: simultaneously make the same edits to multiple files interactively with vim + tmux (for all those times when something should have been a template)

Situation
You have a folder full of HTML (or config, or whatever) files that are all fairly similar, but also kind of not, because:
and
You can see there are a lot of things that could be tidied up and made perfectly identical across all the files, but you can't be arsed to do it the "right way", and you don't fancy playing regular expression golf (trying to make sure you hit just the things you intend in mass search/replaces), and you really can't be arsed to remember how to do multi-line regexps.
Solution
Write a script that automatically splits a tmux session into however many panes you need, then launches a vim session in each one, one per file. Then all you have to do is turn on synchronize-panes, and away you go!
Here is the most minimal version of this I could come up with. A much nicer version follows, but this is more useful as a building block, because maybe you want to use it for similar-but-not-identical inappropriate purposes:
#!/bin/bash # usage: # file1 file2 ... # or # *.html # if you run into "no space for new pane", increase -y tmux new-session -d -s editors -y 80 # cycle through filenames given on command line for filename in "$@"; do tmux split-window -v -l 5 -t editors:0.0 tmux send-keys -t editors "vim '$filename'" Enter done # close the "origin pane" (which still has just a shell) tmux send-keys -t editors:0.0 "exit" Enter # attach to the terminal you ran this script from tmux attach -t editors # After tmux attaches, you'll probably want to do: # - Ctrl+B, E to resize the panes # - Ctrl+B, :, set synchronize-panes # To exit, just issue ":q" to all vims, then Ctrl+D to exit the shells.
Important limitation: The above can only do a single session at a time, because the session name ("editors") is fixed. Interesting things happen if you try to run another copy simultaneously.
The full version is a bit long to put inline like this, so here it is gzipped and base64'd:

2024.06.01 08:30 RyanAirhead Would you rather: JAL F vs ANA J (old cabins)

I was thinking of taking a trip to Japan next year and was able to snag a couple of outbound award flights. I'm having a hard time deciding which to keep. I'm making a list of pros and cons for each:
JL F on a 777-300 - ❌ 110k Alaska miles, which feels like kind of a lot to use on myself. Am I worth it? (I usually say no lol) - ✅ Direct flight; No positioning flight needed for me - ✅ Mid April date may work better in avoiding crowds and higher prices for where I'm going - ✅ According to the booking class of the itinerary it looks like I'd earn a ton of miles and eqm's back on Alaska - ❌ I've got OW emerald already so the ground experience wouldn't change much since I already get access to the same lounges plus it's ex-US so not as good as leaving from Japan anyway. - ✅ I've never done JAL TPAC in First, though I will have flown JAL in J multiple times by then. - ✅ Expensive on points but better value overall
NH J on a 787-8 - ✅ 52.5k VS miles (41k transfer from Amex which is still a steal even after the recent devaluation!) - ❌ Late April date means I end up dealing with the Golden Week crowds and prices of Japan - ❌ Positioning flight needed. It'll be an easy, common, 3hr flight, for me, but it's still needed. Maybe I can get cheap EQMs or loyalty points lol - ✅ I've never been on ANA before and since I have OWE I'm usually more likely to fly JAL. This might be a nice opportunity for me - ❌ I don't have *A status and wouldn't earn anything back for this flight anyway - ❌ It's J anyway, and there are no extra First Class benefits on the ground nor a Polaris lounge or anything where the flight is departing from (I think...). - ❌ Very cheap on points but not as great of a value in my opinion
Both flights are not in either airlines' new cabins, nor am I someone wHo MuSt OnLy fLy tHe LaTeSt pRoDuCt. If I'm traveling by myself I don't mind going as cheap as possible as I would rather spend points on my family and friends joining along. Nor do I particularly care about CPP since it's ultimately down to if I think something is a good deal for me. That said, I like good value. Listing this out helps me lean towards one over the other.
Ultimately I want to try to decide so I can release one of them back into inventory (hopefully) so it will find a good home and be appreciated by someone who could use it. For those that are familiar with these flights, which would you do? Are there other considerations I'm missing? Am I over thinking this? Thanks in advance!
Edit: the interesting thing is the JAL flight is booked under the "A" fare class, rather than the usual "U" for award flights. Has anyone had this on an award flight and earned according to the chart?

Ardorix Redesign
I decided to redesign the winx's "Bloomix" (it's true name is Ardorix in my heart) transformation based on Unicorn of War's version of it. Most of them are pretty similar to the canon versions but its because the canon ones are really good.
Side Note: I really love this height chart template. Thank you to ParallaxAbomination on DeviantArt. (They made a metric version too.)

🔗Tactical 600D Polyester Weight Vest for Fitness and Training

https://preview.redd.it/br5bk6tpbw3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=015091470398febf1fd89677808c312ae2c84ceb
Lately, I've been training for various outdoor endurance activities and needed something to carry the extra weights with me. That's when I discovered the 5.11 Tactical TacTec Trainer Weight Vest. I've used the vest quite a few times now, and I can confidently say that it's been a game-changer for me.
First off, the vest is built with 600D polyester, making it extremely durable and resistant to wear and tear. On top of that, it fits most 5.11 and Rogue weight plates, as well as the 5.11 TacTec Weight Plate Sandbag. Its adjustable yoke shoulder straps, combined with breathable mesh padding and body pads, allow the vest to support additional weight without being overly restrictive.
The stretch cummerbund keeps everything secure and ensures a perfect fit, regardless of the user's body type. In addition, it features MOLLE compatibility, which can be incredibly useful when carrying extra gear. It's even compatible with the 5.11 PC Convertible Hydration Carrier!
As someone who loves the freedom to access my necessary accessories, I appreciate the vest's front admin pocket and the loop laser-cut and web MOLLE platforms. These features have made life so much easier when I need to quickly reach for my energy bars or extra water.
The vest, however, does have a couple of downsides. I've noticed that the Velcro attachment system could be more secure, and occasionally the attachment coords fall out. Also, the vest isn't designed for users with a lower torso – it may not cover the whole chest depending on the wearer's height.
Overall, the 5.11 Tactical TacTec Trainer Weight Vest has been a fantastic addition to my training routine, making it easier to carry the extra weight while maintaining the necessary level of comfort and functionality. Despite the minor drawbacks, it's a remarkable piece of gear that I'd highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their outdoor endurance training.

🔗Versatile 5.11 Tactical Packable Raid Vest

As a regular user of the 5.11 Tactical Packable Raid Vest, let me tell you about my experience with this versatile and durable vest. While on patrol, the vest proved to be an excellent addition to my gear, providing easy accessibility to my equipment.
One of the key highlights of this vest for me was the flexibility it offered. The vest was designed to be lightweight and breathable, making it perfect for those long, hot summer days. The sleeveless design also allowed for unrestricted arm movement, making it a great choice for an outdoor tactical vest.
However, one downside I noticed during my experience was the lack of concealed weapon access. Though the vest offered easy access to my equipment, the placement of the pockets made it harder to conceal my weapon when I needed to. A modification, such as side access zippers, would have been a great addition to improve the concealed weapon carrying capabilities.
Overall, the 5.11 Tactical Packable Raid Vest has made a valuable addition to my gear collection. With its sleek design, easy accessibility, and lightweight materials, it provided comfort and versatility during my operations. I would highly recommend this vest to any officer in a similar line of work.

🔗Reflective 5.11 Tactical 5-Point Breakaway Vest - Weather-Resistant Polyester Design

Last week, while making my way through a bustling construction site, I had the chance to put the 5.11 Tactical 5-Point Breakaway Vest to the test. The sleeveless yellow vest was instantly noticeable, with its 3M reflective tape detailing providing a subtle yet essential touch of safety. I felt comforted by the vest's weather-resistant build, knowing it would protect me from harsh climates.
Wearing the vest throughout the day, I appreciated how the polyester fabric kept me relaxed and comfortable. Unfortunately, the vest didn't fit perfectly, and I frequently had to adjust the tabs by my sides. Additionally, there was a minor inconvenience as I found the mic loops on each shoulder a bit too snug for my earpieces. However, these drawbacks were outweighed by the vest's reflective detailing, weather resistance, and convenient pockets. All in all, it was a decent addition to my safety gear for the day, and overall, I found the 5.11 Tactical 5-Point Breakaway Vest to be a practical and visible choice for any busy construction site.

🔗5.11 Tactical Khaki Vest: Lightweight, Functional, and Versatile

https://preview.redd.it/s258mitqbw3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=302e6fe001d6e5a409442d1e9e3151662e8f7e5a
Imagine stepping into the world of law enforcement, sportsmen, and outdoor enthusiasts, where functionality meets versatility. Meet the 5.11 Tactical Vest - a wearable accessory designed to be your ultimate companion for various situations, from fishing to a shooting competition.
I had the privilege of trying this vest that has been praised by many, and I must say, it delivered on its promises. The first thing I noticed while unboxing was the soft cotton canvas fabric that felt surprisingly comfortable, even on those warm summer days.
This vest is not for the faint of heart; it's built for durability, featuring quad stitching and bartacking at key stress points. I must admit, it provided a secure grip and held up remarkably well throughout all my outdoor adventures.
But, being a tactical vest, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The vest does weigh a bit more than you'd expect, and it might hinder some movement during certain activities. Additionally, the absence of a holster in the package is an inconvenience that you'll need to address separately.
That being said, the 5.11 Tactical Vest is perfect for those who take their gear seriously and require ample storage for all their essentials. Its concealed pockets make it ideal for concealed carry, ensuring you're always prepared for anything. So, whether you're on duty or off duty, this vest can go anywhere with you, providing not only functionality but also a stylish touch.
In conclusion, the 5.11 Tactical Vest is an excellent investment for those who require performance and durability in their gear. With its numerous pockets and versatile design, it has proven to be a reliable companion in both professional and personal settings. While there are some minor drawbacks, such as weight and the absence of a holster, they do not outweigh the vest's overall quality and performance.

🔗5.11 Tactical Fast-Tac Vest for Men

https://preview.redd.it/wmqxt0frbw3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8af9e8767dfaa156e30ebd0de3516804531cf32
Recently, I had the chance to try out the 5.11 Tactical Men's Fast-Tac Vest in Black, a size small. From the get-go, it caught my attention with its plethora of pockets – 13 to be exact. The adjustable side tabs at the waist ensured a snug fit for me, even when I layered it over my t-shirt. The lightweight construction was a major highlight as I didn't feel bulky or weighed down while wearing it.
One of the most noticeable features was the vented back seam, designed to keep me cool during intense situations. It certainly proved effective when I tested it in humid conditions. The ripstop tephlon fabric also proved to be quite tough – it stood up well against scratches and water splashes, justifying its top-quality label.
However, there were a couple of areas where it could have been improved. Firstly, the sizing seemed a tad large, although it did not hinder the usability. Secondly, I found the front fastened pocket a bit too tight for carrying larger items.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Fast-Tac Vest delivered on most aspects and has earned its place among the best in the market. It's a perfect choice for those who look for functionality, versatility, and quality in one package.

🔗5.11 Tactical QR Plate Carrier: Adjustable Vest for Versatile Field Use

https://preview.redd.it/xnec3kkrbw3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fed4f304423e2f6e949d7b2898ceec9dcc20134
I recently tried the 5.11 Tactical QR Plate Carrier, and let me tell you, it's an impressive piece of gear. The patented Sierra Bravo Slide quick release buckle makes it easy to get on and off, while the TAC-LAM laminate laser cut MOLLE system allows for the easy attachment of various accessories. The low profile Hypalon shoulder straps and removable padded shoulder shrouds are comfortable and provide breathability, and the semi-rigid laser-cut cummerbund with adjustable rear hook/loop system offers a great fit.
One issue I faced was the shoulder straps being quite wide, which might be a problem for some users. Additionally, I noticed a lack of compatibility with other plate carriers, which might limit its usage for certain individuals. However, overall, I found the QR Plate Carrier to be a high-quality product that provides a comfortable and secure carrying experience.

🔗5.11 Tactical MultiCam Plate Carrier with Advanced Features

https://preview.redd.it/fvv2ftxrbw3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8718315536588253e9a334ebbef50e6bd3073cdd
Being the proud owner of a 5.11 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier, I can say with confidence that it's one of the most comfortable plate carriers I've ever worn. The construction of this rugged piece is well-thought-out, with padded yoke shoulder straps and a unique weight distribution system. The perforated front and back panels not only look sleek but also allow for easy airflow, keeping me cool during hectic situations.
One aspect that stood out to me was the easy range of motion, particularly in the shoulder area. The innovative design allows for a streamlined look that's both functional and comfortable. The plate carrier can hold up to medium/large ballistic plates and features a low-profile grab-drag handle, which is always a plus in the field.
Another great feature of this product is the quick-release cable escape system on the back. In the heat of the moment, it's crucial to have an easy escape option, and this feature certainly delivers.
That being said, there are a couple of elements that could use some work. While the side panels offer a nice aesthetic touch, they could be designed to provide more overall versatility. Additionally, it would be useful if the straps and velcro could be adjusted more precisely – the one-size-fits-all approach can only go so far.
In conclusion, the 5.11 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier is a solid choice for those looking for a comfortable, functional, and stylish plate carrier. While there are a few areas that could use improvement, overall, I've been satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it to others.

2024.06.01 07:07 Exotic_Activity370 Alerts to Broker. A real connection.

Hi Guys, Ive been meaning to ask for this for a long time. I just figured it was obvious and with the shear volume of people I talk to in trading discords etc that are under the impression this is coming any day I just figured it was. It would be a game changer and people from MT4/% and Ninja Trader would flock to Tradingview finally for the better chart experience.
Simply add the connection between strategy/indicator alerts and brokers. Once a broker is connected allow the alerts from strategies to take trades. It's so simple but still has not been implemented. The gravity of this one integration would almost overnight make Ninja trader redundant. Once implemented simply focus on getting more brokers in the list and you have yourself a one stop trading platform.
I do understand the api trigger from alerts but most brokers either do not allow it or have a very poor web hook system that most won't bother with. Tradovate being one of them.
Please make this simple integration from strategy to brokers. Even better > strategy to Multiple brokers.
