2024.05.20 08:14 GentlyUsedOtter "Wait, what?"

So I was working the front desk one night and I had checked this really rednecky, but polite, woman in. Nothing remarkable about the check-in. A few minutes later the elevator dings and out pops this really big rednecky looking guy. This guy asks "did you just check in my wife?" He asked. And I, figuring the two rednecky people went together, said "Yes sir, is everything okay?" Figuring I had fucked something up.
And this guy approaches my station and says "Yeah everything's fine." And he pulls out a thick as fuck roll of hundreds and hands me $100 bill. And I figure he wants change for it, So I head to the back office to get him some change and he starts heading to the elevator, And I turn around and ask "sir, don't you want your change?" And he responds, "no that's for you".
Now this made me very confused because I just checked the guy's wife in so I more or less, "wait what?" And then thank him and told him to have a good night and he went down the elevator. So I ran into security a little while later and apparently the guy was just handing out $100 bills to everybody that helped him in any way. Valet parked his car, $100 bill, security helped the guy find his room, $100 bill.
So a few nights later I found the guy on the main patio at like 2:00 a.m. smoking a cigar. Technically we were a non-smoking property but............well fuck he treated all the employees right. So I overlooked it. Then we got no conversation and I asked him what he did, and he told me that he owned a small online sports betting company in Minnesota. I am in the wrong goddamn business.

2024.05.20 07:27 alexp70774 MED Board Deep Dive: C&P exams

Hey all, I wanted to do another deep dive into the MEB process. So this deep dive with cover the VA and c&p exams. Note this is after you get a decision for a Full MEB. Please look at my previous deep dive for info on that process
So c&p exams are what take place after you meet with your VA MSC and fill out your SHA Part A. These C&P exams can be sometimes held at a VA hospital but are usually contracted out to third party. The big ones are OPTUMSERVE, QTC, and LSG. You will get called, and emailed regarding your exam dates. Do NOT miss these appointments, these take priority over literally everything, I’ve seen peoples promotion test dates changed because of these exams. If you miss one your PEBLO and your commander are going to be pissed, if anyone try’s to give you a hard time, talk to your supervisor or shirt because these are MANDATORY appointments.
For the head and toe exam it will be a standard, full body exam, and you will go over a majority of your claims during this time. From knee pain to IBS to GERD, it covers a lot of your claims in one swoop. Any follow up exams like sleep study’s and X-rays will be scheduled after this exam. This is the longest exam by far, and usually takes the longest to see results. They will fill out a DBQ (Disability Questionnaire) for each “issue” you are claiming. You can look these up on the VA website to get a gist for what they are looking for. After the exams are done, eventually you can log on to TRICARE ONLINE (yes I know genesis exists but they still upload these to tricare online) to see what the doctor put for each claim.
My sleep study was done at home with a device I picked up and dropped off the day after, yours might be different and it depends on the c&p contractor doing your exams, just because you didn’t have a sleep study while your in does not meet you can’t claim sleep apnea and get one during your VA claim.
Audio exam is a more detailed version on the military one and involves a lot of science stuff that I can’t explain that much tbh. But tinnitus is claimable and is very hard to prove that you don’t have. Do with that what you will, and again you will be able to see the results on tricare online.
Finally, the MH exam, is probably the most stressful and difficult one. You will meet with a psychologist either in person or usually via telehealth, like zoom. These can take up to 2 hours but can be shorter depending if the doctor has read your file from the military and everything adds up. I’ve seen these take 15 minutes or sometimes 2 hours, it depends on the doctor and what they have read. This is not the time to be strong and act like nothing is wrong. Be vulnerable and open and honest. Remember this is not a therapy session, they are here to evaluate your claim, it is strictly business, understand that, they might seem cold or like they don’t care but it’s because they can’t care, they are evaluating your claim, not fixing your issue. You are allowed to request the gender of your psychiatrist if you choose to, this is helpful to people with MST. Again, you can see the results of this DBQ on tricare online usually a week after the exam.
Please remember to lay everything out on the table during these exams, this is not the time to downplay or dismiss your pain or health issues, this is the time to be honest and open with everything. After the MH one, please do some self care, it can be very triggering and re traumatizing and bring up a lot of emotions. Please do self care or talk to someone, my DM’s are always open and I can always chat and let you vent, cry or yell.
Remember during these exams, you might be having a good day, but be honest about your symptoms on your worst day not the best day. If at anytime you feel like you’re not being heard or your doctor is being rude or lazy, let your MSC and PEBLO know and file a complaint to get a new exam done. This is money and benefits at stake and you do not want to have to deal with this after you get out.
Also, remember these exams are just one part of your rating and if you feel like the doctor didn’t accurately evaluate you, don’t get upset or overthink too much, the rater at the VA will look at everything not just these exams to make your rating.
If you have any questions please reach out to me in my DM’s, I’m currently done with my exams and will continue to make these deep dives to help anyone going thru the MEB process understand as much as they can.

2024.05.20 07:14 wholelottapenguins I’m 78 hours into my 2nd time quitting vaping. I’ve tried some of the most recommended products to assist in quitting, and here’s what worked for me the most: Wellbutrin XL 300mg, Breathing exercises, Gum/candy/mints, and VICKS INHALERS.

Hello! I’m currently 78 hours into quitting vaping once again, this time quitting 18mg freebase nicotine juice after I accidentally relapsed. Before the relapse, I had been going 6 months strong CT off of a 50mg salt nic daily vaping habit that I had clung to since 2018 after starting with Juuls, moving onto refillable pod devices, and eventually settling on shitty disposables. I should state that I’m currently 24 years old male with ADHD.
I had quit the 50mg Salt Nic back at the end of last March, and I had not been prescribed Wellbutrin for the entire time, I only got put onto Wellbutrin at the end of this January. Anyway, quitting the 50mg Salts was hellish, but I got through it and eventually the cravings mostly subsided. The first 2 weeks were the most difficult with the first week itself being the most challenging. However, Week 2 and 3 presented their own challenges as my brain kept convincing itself that something was wrong with me since I still had occasionally strong cravings and agitation and I was sure that I was supposed to be past that shit since I was at the 2 week mark. But EVERYONE is different, and instead of relapsing, I sought out a lot of products to assist in quitting vaping that were used by people close to me or online who had successfully quit themselves.
Here’s my shortish and sweet thoughts on each:
• Vicks Inhalers: A personal favorite. They’re non-medicated and contain NO ACTUAL VICKS, so there’s no chance of them making you sick even if you use them a fuckton. If you do use them a fuckton, the worst that might happen is that you’ll eventually have to sneeze really badly, but that’s the worst I’ve experienced from them. I know it sounds silly, but using the Vicks Inhalers actually almost tricked my brain into feeling like I was getting the satisfying hit of like a menthol vape. I was half expecting to exhale smoke the first few times I used them. They do ‘taste’ a lot worse when you first start using one, but after using it for a bit, the ‘hit’ it provides becomes a bit more subtle and a lot more palatable and satisfying. It sort of does give you something to fiddle with and can satisfy that oral fixation even if you’re inhaling it nasally. I guess you could inhale it through your mouth like a vape, I’ve definitely done it a few times (accidentally, like my hand is just trained to put stick-shaped things to my mouth like a cigarette lol), and I had no ill effects besides people looking at me weird and it tasting pretty bad when it’s fresh and super potent. Give it a try, but don’t buy the bulk ones on amazon.
• Nicor Inhaler: Similar to the Vicks, just not as strong and it lacks the strong menthol punch in favor of a more chill, subdued, relaxing scent. Full of essential oils and other stuff, I kind of like it. There’s tons of other essential oil inhalers that you can try if Vicks has too much of a punch, I’m just using this one because a friend bought it for me and I wanna show them my appreciation.
• Gum/Mints/Candy: Pretty self explanatory. I’ve fallen in love with the Trident Sour Patch Kids gum, and you can pick up a pack of 4 on Amazon for like $12-$15. I’ve also been munching on Jolly Ranchers, Sour Skittles, Hi-Chews, and Popsicles like crazy. Go for what you love and feel no shame about it. Give your inner kid a little hit of that old childhood sweets fix. You deserve it.
• Wellbutrin XL 300mg: It definitely helps to really take the edge off of the cravings and withdrawals. I definitely still feel a bit of agitation, but there’s been alot of points throughout the last few days where i’ve felt shockingly normal and almost forgot that I wasn’t using nicotine but I don’t know how much of this easiness is attributable to the Wellbutrin since I’m definitely comparing this experience to the more hellish experience I had quitting salt nic since obviously freebase nicotine is a lot easier to quit.
• Metal Breathing Tube Thing: Idk. It kind of relaxes me and helps to remind me to slow down and focus on my breathing sometimes. Guided breathing and medication exercises genuinely can make a huge difference for you and have helped me step down off the ledge of an oncoming panic attack or meltdown. The breathing tube just exists to make that process easier while giving you a fun little object to satisfy your oral fixation.
If you have any questions, need any advice, or just wanna talk about your experience - please feel free to PM me or comment!
I’m using Apollo and I can’t post images with body text, so here’s the imgur link:

2024.05.20 07:05 Content-Following202 WDID if my boyfriend would rather jerk off than be intimate with me?

So my boyfriend 25M and I 22F have been together for almost 4 years now and recently I have felt like he is loosing attraction towards me. I don't know what to do so I'm coming here for advice.
We met on tinder summer 2020, we met just to hook up but continued to hang out and ended up dating after about 1 week or 2. I had to go to another state for college but we continued to be together, I would drive to see him every other week (about a 3 hour drive) and would stay with him. Everything was good and we had intimate time often.
We figured out quite quickly that his love language is quality time and mine was physical touch. He has never been much of a touchy person so that was something I had to get used to.
Fast forward two years we both have graduated and now live together in his hometown. I love it here, our home, our life here. He has a great job that pays great and I am very grateful for him because without him I wouldn't be able to afford this life. I love my job (I am a teacher) but it gets stressful taking care of children all day. He worked very hard to get to were he is now so I am very proud of him for it.
I do most of the cooking, we split the cleaning and chores around the house. Yes we have had some disagreements over the years about things but we have always been able to talk it through and work something out that works for both of us when we have had a long week.
We have very good communication skills in our relationship so I have never felt like I can't talk to him about something that's been bothering me. So when it comes to this I feel like I have tried so much I am just tired of talking and ready for fixing.
About 2years ago I caught him talking to another girl, she blew him off but from what I understand (parts were said on Snapchat and the rest were on messenger) he just wanted pictures and she wouldn't send them. I was gone back to my hometown for a week. I called often but he didn't talk much. Hes not much a talker on the phone so I didn't think much of it, so when I got home and I saw the messages (he left his phone open in the bathroom). The next morning I confronted him and he said he was lonely and missed me. I told him that I need to talk to him and even FaceTime but he was always too tired or not in the mood.
It took about a month to get through that but I still feel alarms going off in my head when I see him on his phone late at night or closing out apps when I walk in the room.
I feel like that was the start of me feeling like he was looking interest in me. Sexually anyways. He was always loving it every other way, I felt comforted and cared for which I didn't get while growing up.
Since than it was good, we went on weekly dates, spent time together talked through emotions when we'd get overwhelmed or was having a hard time mentally because of stress. I love him and I always felt like he loved me.
But we still were not being intimate. When I would try he'd say he was tired from work or just not in the mood. I would try to get him in the mood with massages, dirty talk, foreplay, lingerie etc. But it just didn't do anything. I found a pattern that he'd only be in the mood in the morning on Saturdays or Sundays.
When I would bring it up he'd say he didn't realize that's what he was doing and he was sorry for making me feel like he wasn't attracted and that he loves me very much and he just doesn't have much of a sex drive because of the medication he is taking or work has been a lot. He was also getting his bachelor's online and that was also taking a lot of energy from him. I always understood.
One Friday when I got home I did the cleaning, I cooked and served him before he had his weekly gaming night with his friends I tried to get him in the mood and I was shut down like always. "I'm too tired and I just want to relax and get the game ready for tonight." Is what he said. So I left him alone, I had a good night by myself with dessert some wine and get up the bathroom for a bath.
Before I got in the tub I realized I forgot my robe in our bedroom, so I got on a towel and went over to get it and when I opened the door I found him in bed jerking off to some porn. Which I found out later that he doesn't watch porn on sites he comes on Reddit.
"I'm sorry, I forgot my robe!" I blurted out after I stood in the door a second stunned because I have never walked in on him before. I hurried and got my robe before sprinting out the door back into the bathroom. I heard him yell I love you and something else but I shut the door before I heard.
At first I laughed because it's embarrassing to be caught and it was just funny to be honest. Then I started crying, I felt like I hadn't cried in so long from how hard I cried. It hurt. To only be touched, kissed more than just a peck, once a month. It hurt more than I realized.
I understand that its easier to just take care of it yourself, I'm no one to judge, you know yourself best and there is no shame in that. And sometimes yes sex can take a lot of energy. But to be shut down every time, it wasn't like I was asking all the time like I'm a horndog, it fucking hurt.
After a few hours in the bathroom I finally went to bed and he was sound asleep. I felt like I was being dramatic, like I was crazy and I needed to get over myself.
The next day I explained how I have been feeling. How it feels like I'm just someone that comes home and cooks, takes care of things and then we sleep in the same bed.
He said he didn't notice this and thought everything was going good. I have brought up how little we have sex before and it was always the same answer. I told him that yes everything has been good, but I just don't feel like your attracted to me anymore, how we used to have sex weekly, more than once a week. After that we had more conversations and had intimate times more but still limited, I took what I could get.
It was still only when he'd be in the mood but still I felt like it had to have something else to get in the mood, like he'd only be ready after being on his phone or if his office/bathroom for a while. Or right when he'd come home from work. I still felt like I couldn't get him in the mood.
Lately at night he has been going out to the living room before bed saying he was too hot in the room, which I understood because he gets hot easy and I get cold so I always have multiple blankets. We sleep with separate blankets for that reason, which other people said is weird for a couple but I'm fine with it as long as I get my blankets.
As more of a joke I asked him if he goes to the couch to jerk off and then come back to bed. He said yes sometime. Which again hurt. I'm right here! What do I have to do to get some dick! He said he didn't want to lie and say no but he also didn't want to hurt my feelings.
I just don't know what to do anymore, I just want him to look at ME and see something he wants. I want him to want me. I want him to see me and think how sexy I am and want me. Am I not good enough? Do I gross him out? Have a done something to make him not want that from me? I am chubby, but he said he likes chubby girls and I never felt insecure about it till all this...What do I do?

2024.05.20 07:05 Ok_Entertainment_533 I’m lost and possibly suicidal

(Just skip to the last paragraph if you don’t want to read this all.) I just turned 19. My life has been a series of unfortunate events and mistakes, with some very amazing memories/ events mixed in. I grew up in a highly dysfunctional large family, it’s complicated because some weeks were perfect, my parents were awesome sometimes, others it was really rough. My mom displays highly narcissistic tendencies and was mentally abusive when I was a kid. My Dad is a amazing father, but he got into a rodeo accident when he was 18 and snapped his back in half, a saddle bronc horse landed on him and folded him backwards like paper. He’s not paralyzed but has a huge 4ft metal pipe in his back basically holding his spine together, so he has extreme back pain and many many other issues from the accident. So for 4 years from when I was 13-16 he drank alcohol almost constantly and consecutively. He was never mean, physically or verbally abusive, he would just get drunk and pass out in a chair. I remember one time he cut his throat open on a sink trying to install it while he was drunk. Another time I remember having to carry him out to my moms car when I was 14, he was so drunk he had to go to the ER. He also would lie about drinking so we had no idea if he overdosed on pain meds for his back or got drunk. My mom would take me around to mental centers, get me meds, take me to behavioral institutions, and drag me to counselors of hers to basically validate her as being right. Now growing up in a household like this, I obviously did have anger issues and it was a attempt to get attention and love, which never worked and made things worse. So I sucked it up, fixed myself, and got mentally tough as a mf. School was somewhat difficult for me but it was a break from the bullshit. I applied myself to my high school’s marksmanship team and became the best shooter on the team, and my team was best in my state, and best on the west side of America. We got to go to the 2022 National championships and placed 13th out of 1,000 teams, but we shot bad that day, we easily could’ve won it, we weren’t used to the targets they used. I got into smoking weed with my best friend almost every day when I was 16 but quit when I was 17, it wasn’t who I wanted to be.
I went online school when I was 17 and combined my junior and senior years into one year, and graduated early. I would’ve just been graduating high school right now, at 19, if I didn’t do that. I didn’t want to do that so I did what I needed to graduate at 18 years old.
Since I was 15 years I basically have believed that my destiny was to join the military and become a Navy SEAL, and reach a highly elite level within that community. Now I’m 19, and highly disappointed with my life, I don’t know how I got here. I struggle with a extreme degree of apathy, I’m burnt out. I struggle to get out of bed before 2pm, I go to bed at 2 AM-4 AM usually. I’m unable to get a vehicle for job, because my mom refuses to help and my Dad try’s his best but doesn’t have much money because my mom divorced him. He’s self employed and I work with him when I can. Like, I can stick to a routine, I can get up at 6 am when I want to. For the last 6 months I’ve took a cold shower every night, so I can be disciplined, I’m just discouraged about life. I don’t believe becoming a Navy SEAL is possible or realistic now, there’s a lot more to it that I’m not sharing, but I will say I simply do not have the energy to go to the gym everyday or get in shape. Hell, I don’t even have a car, or job. I have no idea what I’m going to do for my career if I don’t become a SEAL.
Lately, I’ve thought about shooting myself to end this all, it’s not a problem if I’m not in the equation. I vividly imagine it, I imagine feeling the barrel on the roof of my mouth, I imagine how my skull would shatter and what the “cleanest” way to do it would be. I’ve thought about laying a towel down under my head so I don’t ruin the carpet, I’ve tried to find a way to shoot myself in the head so I don’t ruin the ceiling. We also live in the state with the highest suicide rate in the country. I imagine my family finding me and my Dad’s pain, because suicide runs in our family, his Dad (my Grandpa) hung himself, his Mom’s sisters and brothers have killed themselves, his cousin, his aunt, shit I don’t want to add to his pain. This is what keeps me from doing it, I’m not selfish, I’m selfless, I can’t be responsible for causing my family more pain, and a part of me still believes I could become a SEAL too. If I didn’t have family I might’ve done it already. Hell, typing this out I realize my reason/ motivation to become a SEAL could be to spare my family from that pain. I don’t know, I’m just over it.

The Maxsa Innovations 37314-W-RS Park Right Garage Laser combines safety and ease in one sleek package. Its laser-guided parking system illuminates the way for up to two cars, even in the tightest of garages. Installation is a breeze - simply use the included screws or double-stick tape, and plug it in to your choice of AC power source. If power goes out, don't worry - the laser park comes with a battery backup option, ensuring it remains a reliable navigation aid.
But the real winner is the motion-activated LED light. No more fumbling for switches as you enter or exit the garage with your hands full. Its sensitivity is on point, turning on as you approach from up to 10 feet away. This smart feature not only makes parking a breeze but also prevents potential trips or falls in the process. Overall, this Park Right Laser with Motion Activated Light is not just a nifty gadget, but a game-changer for the garage parking experience.

I recently tried out the DeWalt DCLE34220GB, a 20V Max 2-Spot Cross Line Combo Green Laser. This powerful tool impressed me with its fine adjustment feature, which made setting it up faster and more accurate. The 20V Max platform offered a range of possible runtimes, with an impressive 23 hours on a single 2 Ah battery (not included).
One of the standout features was the magnetic mount, which made it a breeze to attach to most steel construction materials. However, I noticed that the locking pendulum could sometimes be a bit fiddly to adjust. Overall, this laser is a valuable addition to any toolkit, especially for those building rail mounted structures.

🔗Self-Leveling Construction Laser for Interior and Exterior Applications

Using the Trimble Spectra Precision HV301 laser has been a game-changer for my construction projects. It's a versatile device, ideal for both indoor and outdoor work, and can handle an impressive range of tasks, including leveling and aligning forms and footers. The laser's impressive clarity makes it easy to spot from any angle - it even rotates 90 degrees, offering both plumb and perpendicular references.
The HV301's self-leveling nature saves me a significant amount of time and effort in making sure the device is perfectly level before beginning each task. I also appreciate how the package includes everything one might require in the field, such as a carrying case, a laser receiver, rechargeable batteries, and a charger.
That being said, the device did not come with a manual, which I found a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the device's battery life could be extended - it ran out after just a few hours of use.
Overall, the Trimble Spectra Precision HV301 laser has become an indispensable tool in my construction projects, due to its adaptability and high visibility. Despite the few drawbacks, it's a worthwhile investment for anyone in the construction business.

🔗Accurate Green Beam Line Generator Laser for Outdoor Levels

https://preview.redd.it/jcnt1rt9ji1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76360c37b985dd7caaa86ff3336d5faa89807823
I recently had the chance to test out the Craftsman Green 55-foot Self-Leveling Outdoor Line Generator Laser Level with Cross Beam, and let me just say, it's been quite the adventure! Now, I'll admit, I'm not exactly the handy type of person, but I figured it was time to step up my game and tackle a project or two around the house. As a complete novice, this laser level seemed like the perfect tool to help me out.
The first thing that stood out was the brightness of the green laser beam. It made the cross beam visible like never before, even in the daylight. The self-leveling feature was also a fantastic addition, as it made my life so much easier. Instead of trying to figure out the angle on my own, I simply turned the switch on and off until I heard the beep, and the laser level did the rest of the work for me.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks I ran into. The first issue came when I tried to use it outside. Although the product description said it could be used outdoors, I found that the laser beam didn't have quite the range I had hoped for. In fact, the brightness started to fade at around 10 feet, and completely disappeared by the time I reached 20 feet. I had to rely on a tripod and position it very close to the wall in order to see the laser line.
Additionally, the 3 position lock switch with manual mode felt a bit tricky to use at first. I needed to refer to the instruction manual to figure out exactly how it worked and how to move between the different modes. Once I got the hang of it, however, it became pretty straightforward.
Despite these small drawbacks, I can honestly say that I'm quite happy with this laser level. Its brightness and ease of use made an absolute novice like me feel confident in tackling a few projects around the house. If you're just starting out and need a reliable tool to help you level, this little green machine just might be the perfect fit for you.

What is a Center Mass Laser?

A Center Mass Laser is a sight designed to improve the accuracy of your shots, especially when shooting at longer distances or in low-light conditions. It provides a crisp, bright dot to aim at, making it easier to concentrate on your target and maintain proper eye alignment with the gun. It is an essential accessory for serious gun enthusiasts and competitive shooters.

How does a Center Mass Laser work?

https://preview.redd.it/5uh8thxcji1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f50558f7d6d1b3325d25caaea6dac49f199c95d
The Center Mass Laser works by using a small laser to project a dot or target marker onto the front sight of your firearm. This light helps increase the visibility of the front sight, making it easier to target accurately. The laser is powered by a battery, and most Center Mass Lasers have an adjustable brightness setting so that you can control how much light is being emitted.

What are the benefits of using a Center Mass Laser?

Using a Center Mass Laser can improve your accuracy and efficiency when shooting, especially when the lighting conditions are not optimal. It helps you find and maintain a proper sight picture, allowing you to make more accurate shots, especially for long-distance targets. It's also useful for shooters with visual impairments or when using night vision. Additionally, it can help you build muscle memory for consistent shots and can be used as a training aid for beginners.

How do I install a Center Mass Laser on my firearm?

Installation of a Center Mass Laser on your firearm requires a few essential steps:
  • Choose the correct Center Mass Laser model for your specific firearm type and caliber.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation correctly.
  • Attach the laser to the front sight base, ensuring a snug fit that does not move when you shoot.
  • Secure the laser with the appropriate screws or clamps, depending on the model.
  • Test the Center Mass Laser to ensure it functions properly and aligns accurately with your gun.
  • Familiarize yourself with the adjustment settings and practice shooting with the new laser.

How long does the battery of a Center Mass Laser last?

Battery life depends on the model of the Center Mass Laser and the brightness setting. Most laser sights can operate for hundreds of hours on a single battery, but some models may use more power and have a shorter battery life. It's essential to check the battery life of your laser sight regularly and replace the batteries as needed.

Can I use a Center Mass Laser together with a red dot sight or a holographic sight?

Yes, you can use a Center Mass Laser together with a red dot or holographic sight. Many serious shooters and gun enthusiasts use both types of sights together, as they offer different advantages in different situations. The Center Mass Laser can help you find the front post of your firearm more easily, while the red dot or holographic sight provides a larger, more easily-seen reticle for faster target acquisition.

This entrepreneur buys a gas station for his wife’s baby shower
If you’re interested in growing your wealth, starting a business, or living a truly rich life, these six tips can help you do it the right way.
He didn’t buy a bed until he got married. And when his wife was pregnant, he wondered, “How much does a baby cost?” Today he owns ten gas stations and even a building that houses the Wells Fargo bank.
https://preview.redd.it/h815a0yvei1d1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4d65328ee20c0a2a76e2239c535b06006828c5c
The farther down this page you read, you’ll understand how you too can buy gas stations and banks.
More importantly, you’ll start to feel, think, and act like a wealthy entrepreneur.
A wise man once told me this:
“You need to think wealthy before you become wealthy”
I remember these words like it was yesterday…
And I like what it means. But I had one problem though.
I struggled to understand the specific principles that wealthy people used to think.
So tell me something…
How did you buy your first car?
Did you buy it cash down?
Or, did you borrow money? Took an auto loan, perhaps?
Let me tell you a little story.

Buying my first car.

Over twenty years ago, I bought my first car.
And everything happened so quickly…
A car salesman stopped me at my office lobby. He asked if I was interested in buying a car. And he handed me a pamphlet.
It basically said that based on my salary, I was eligible to take an auto loan.
The promise that I could drive a brand-new car in ten days was too tempting.
So I gave in. I signed up for an auto loan.
And in less than ten days, I had this shiny new gray-color car!
It had power windows, an electronic steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and all the bells and whistles. Smart move, right?

Hold on to your horses!

Smart move or not, I’ll let you decide after you’re done reading the rest of this post.
Recently, I’ve been binge-listening to some of the backdated episodes of a podcast I LOVE.
And I bumped into a very familiar name.
Syed Balkhi.

The millionaire teen.

I first heard of Syed long ago in 2006 when I started blogging. But little did I pay attention to what he did. All I knew was that he had a website called WPBeginner.
It was a blog about WordPress for people who built WordPress websites or plugins. I liked his content and spent a lot of time reading his blog posts as I was building WordPress websites too.
Syed is in his thirties today. Which means he must’ve been in his early teens in 2006!
In about eighteen months of starting WPBeginner, he made his first million dollars in annual revenue.
And ever since, he’s grown his business, Awesome Motive, big time by acquiring other WordPress companies.
If you aren’t familiar with WordPress, it’s a CMS software. Content Management System, in short.
It’s a software that supposedly powers 40% of the internet. But that’s not the best part. Here’s what is:
Syed’s company today owns ~60% of all WordPress businesses.
https://preview.redd.it/q94pw2dyei1d1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=ad09e2577179c030bdbba726b7dbaf7f368d44bc
I call this the Balkhi Domination Disc.
Put simply, Syed’s businesses power 24% of the internet.
This is HEWGE!
Okay, another story…

The gas station story.

At some point on the podcast, Syed goes…
“I bought a gas station, the first one, primarily because I wanted to offset expenses…”
Offset expenses?
I was on a run while listening to this, and almost tripped when he said that.
Okay. Take a deep breath. I did that too…
Coz from this point on, it’s PURE GOLD.
And here goes the first and biggest lesson in wealth creation…

Tip #1: Every time you need to buy a depreciating asset, invest in an appreciating asset.

Syed says he learned this lesson from his mentor when he was thirteen or fourteen.
The best way to understand this is to loop back to my opening story…
When I bought my first car, I paid the monthly installments using my salary.
But when Syed’s mentor bought his Mercedes, he didn’t spend money from his savings. Instead, he decided to invest money in real estate. And he used the returns from that real estate to finance his shiny new Mercedes.
When Syed’s wife was pregnant with their first son…
He followed the exact blueprint.
He knew the money one would need with a baby birth – hospital charges, medicines, diapers, toys, and everything else!
So instead of spending money from his savings, Syed used the lesson he learned from his mentor to cover the cost of raising a baby – he bought a gas station!
It didn’t just give him the money to pay for the baby shower and childbirth. The gas station would continue to generate a steady flow of cash every single year.
Darn! Why didn’t it ever strike me before?
Mentor, baby! I’m glad to have found one in a podcast!
Okay, let’s look at the next one…

Tip #2: Build a recurring revenue business

In a content business, you turn email subscribers into paying customers. But Syed calls them just re-occurring revenue. The revenue occurs every time someone on your list buys something from you.
A new customer pays once. And unless you sell them something else, you aren’t going to make bank. The only way your business is going to see revenue trickle in from that customer is when you sell to them again.
The solution?
Build a recurring revenue business.
Syed regularly invests and acquires other WordPress software and tools businesses. This allows him to cross-sell software and tools to existing info product customers.
Of course, you can build recurring revenue info products too, using memberships and subscriptions – but Syed didn’t get into that on this podcast.
So yes, using revenue to acquire new businesses is a great idea. But how much should you invest?
Syed has stuck to one principle:

Tip #3: Heads I win, tails I don’t lose much

Syed learned this principle from his friend Monish Pabrai.
In his book The Dhando Investor, Monish talks about the Patels of India. He describes how this relatively tiny subset of humanity from eastern India went on to own most of the motels in the United States.
According to Monish, one of the biggest reasons why the Patels have been successful in business is because they always have followed this principle – heads I win, tails I don’t lose much. So what does this mean?
Let’s look at it with an example.
Assume the intrinsic value of a certain business is $1,000,000, and you buy it for $700,000. What you just did in that transaction is what he describes as a “heads I win, tails I don’t lose much”.
Because let’s say you did a great job with the business and the intrinsic value went up – you win!
But just in case you didn’t do much with the business and the intrinsic value dropped by $400,000, you only lose $100,000.
Heads you win, tails you don’t lose much!
This is wild!
At this point, I was fully invested in listening to this conversation. And I was just getting restless thinking…
“How can I buy a business on the cheap?”
And it just felt like the hosts heard me!
Let’s look at the answer to my question.

Tip #4: Identify “mismanaged gems” to compound at high double-digit

Back in the 1990s, my uncle built an empire buying distressed real estate properties. And it wasn’t easy. Every time he bought one, there was a lot of work to be done.
From litigation and dispute issues to structural issues, he was usually handed a mess. That’s why they were called distressed assets – thankfully, my uncle had the wherewithal to turn them around.
Mismanaged gems are different.
Syed describes mismanaged gems as good (online) businesses with some limitations. These could be in the form of having limited revenue streams, limited target audience, or something else.
Let’s look at a couple of examples…
  • Let’s take an online business where the creator isn’t aware of the different ways to monetize their business. You can acquire this business for $15,000. You use your Facebook Ads skills to sell $20,000 worth of info products and instantly increase the revenue.
  • If an online business has been running only using word-of-mouth marketing, you can acquire it and use your email list to instantly grow the business by exposing them to a new audience.
Here’s how Syed puts it…
“A business might only be thinking about monetizing from one angle. They’re not thinking about it from a full perspective. So I can look at it and say well yes this is the current revenue today, and I’m getting a bargain on today’s revenue. But here are my contracts that I have with so many different partners and vendors and such that I’ll be able to unlock extra revenue here, here, and here. So I turned this business that has one revenue stream to having like multiple revenue streams. That’s how you take something that was doing like no revenue to or very low revenue to having five eight ten million dollars in revenue.” – Syed Balkhi

Tip #5: Leverage the Ecosystem effect

If you’re starting a business, look for an ecosystem. What does that mean?
Syed’s entire online business is built around the WordPress ecosystem.
But there are many other software platforms like WordPress that have an ecosystem. Look at software like QuickBooks, Google Chrome, or Xero. These software platforms are built like an ecosystem, allowing developers to build plugins and extensions.
Most of these plugins and extensions are sizeable businesses in and of themselves. So if you’re starting a business, you’re better off starting one inside an ecosystem.
Starting a business inside an ecosystem exposes you to massive opportunities. You can grow your business through acquisitions, and cross-selling, amongst many other ways. And this also helps you compound over time.
Related Post: Speaking of selling, I think you’ll find value in this episode on The Launch Plan podcast about the F-Word that stops clients from buying your products.

Tip #6: Go from creatooperator to capital allocator

This one is an advanced idea. If you’ve done well with your business and have some cash in the bank, this one’s for ya!
Essentially what Syed says here is that you have one of two choices:
  1. You can choose to build a business from scratch, or
  2. You can acquire an existing business and multiply it.
Obviously, this is an advanced tip. But great business owners don’t master capital allocation overnight. While there are some common traits between the two, it’s a skill you need to build.
I haven’t bought a business so far. But I’m very interested in this. You’ll likely see me writing more on this topic in future posts.

Bonus ‘Rick’ Tip: Don’t be in a hurry to get wealthy

Have you heard of Rick Guerin?
If you haven’t, no worries. Neither did I – until I listened to this podcast.
Rick Guerin was Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger’s third business partner at Berkshire Hathaway.
Huh? Really?
I couldn’t believe it either. A third partner?
So looked up the interwebs for proof.
It turns out to be TRUE!
Here’s how Monish Pabrai describes what happened to Rick:
“In the ’73, ’74 downturn, Rick was levered with margin loans. And the stock market went down almost 70% in those two years, and so he got margin calls out the yin-yang, and he sold his Berkshire (Hathaway) stock to Warren. Warren actually said, I bought Rick’s Berkshire stock at under $40 apiece, and so Rick was forced to sell shares at … $40 apiece because he was levered.”
Rick was just as smart as Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. But he was in a hurry. And that’s the bonus tip!
That’s a wrap! Enjoyed reading this?

2024.05.20 06:46 SteveW_MC StopKillingGames - A Mogul Mail Suggestion

Some of the commenters during Sunday's Stream mentioned the global campaign to bring federal lawsuits and petitions against videogame publishers who intentionally sabotage the functionality of videogames when the servers shut down. They wanted Ludwig to do a Mogul Mail about it. I wasn't 1 of those commenters, nor am I a representative spearheading this initiative, but I am somewhat familiar with what's going on and wanted to explain it here to see if others are interested. So what is going on?

The Crew

The videogame "The Crew", published by Ubisoft, was recently destroyed for all players and had a playerbase of at least 12 million people. Due to the game's size and France's strong consumer protection laws, this represents one of the best opportunities to hold a publisher accountable for this action. If we are successful in charges being pressed against Ubisoft, this can have a ripple effect on the videogames industry to prevent publishers from destroying more games.
Source
More about "The Crew" Specifically
This includes both physical and digital versions of the game, by the way, as the game cannot function without pinging to the now offline servers, making it completely nonfunctional.

The Petition

Official government petitions have been introduced to prohibit the practice of intentionally rendering commercial videogames inoperable when support ends. Currently, petitions for the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have been launched and will soon be open for signing. Plans are also underway for the European Union, but will unfortunately be delayed due to processing times. Further government petitions may be started later with enough assistance.
You can go to the website https://www.stopkillinggames.com and click "take action here" to sign a petition for your country. Depending on the country you're in, you may have to have actually owned the game "the crew" in order to sign, but regardless it's important to understand this increasingly prevalent issue and bring awareness to it.
Here's a video about the initiative from its founder
Here's Accursed Farms's latest update.

Erasing Videogames and History

This ties into another videogame-related issue. Most videogames cannot be legally obtained anymore.
Only 13 percent of classic video games published in the United States are currently in release (n = 1500, ±2.5%, 95% CI). These low numbers are consistent across platform ecosystems and time periods. Troublingly, the reissue rate drops below 3 percent for games released prior to 1985—the foundational era of video games—indicating that the interests of the marketplace may not align with the needs of video game researchers. Our experiences gathering data for this study suggest that these problems will intensify over time due to a low diversity of reissue sources and the long-term volatility of digital game storefronts.
Video about the study.
But Nintendo has like 20 N64 games available on Nintendo Online so....

A Symptom of a Wider Problem

Videogame companies are doing what all companies have been trying to do for years now: stop you from owning anything, and requiring you to rent everything.
Ubisoft’s Director of Subscriptions Phillippe Tremblay said: “...gamers are used to, a little bit like DVD, having and owning their games. That’s the consumer shift that needs to happen. They got comfortable not owning their CD collection or DVD collection. That’s a transformation that’s been a bit slower to happen in games.” Source. Video talking about it
They don't want you to own your games. They want to be able to take away the thing you "purchased", destroy it so it no longer works, and force you to buy something new.
GamePass
Gamepass is literally exactly what the corporate overlords are trying to push the entire industry toward: rentiership of all videogames. "Games as a Service" is a fraud.
It's not just videogames
Whenever you "buy" an ebook or movie from, say, Apple, Amazon, Google, etc., or a videogame from Steam, Sony, etc., you don't actually own that piece of digital media. You are renting the product and getting a perpetual license. That license can be revoked at any time for any reason by the company and you will have the thing you "bought" revoked.
This has happened a lot over the years. For example: Telstra.
...[Telstra] announced it would shut down the service in June. Customers were told that unless they moved over to another service, Fetch, they would no longer be able to access the films and TV shows they had bought.
This isn’t simply a case of Netflix removing Friends from the service when a content agreement runs out. These were films and shows people had bought with the expectation they could watch them whenever they wanted – indefinitely.
Vicki Russell posted on X last week saying she was being asked by Telstra to pay $200 for Fetch to retain access to what she said was $2,500-worth of purchases.
Source, fantastic video talking about article
Microsoft Book Store
In 2019, Microsoft shut down their ebook store, erasing all customers' books from their devices. Fortunately, Microsoft offered a refund for the books purchased. Something they did to not raise customer ire, not because they were legally required to do so.
They are able to completely erase the books the customers "bought" because of Digital Rights Management (DRM)
"One of the things that I think people don't realize that's crucially important is that DRM and related software tools are embedded in all sorts of devices that we buy," Aaron Perzanowski, the author of The End of Ownership: Personal Property in the Digital Economy, tells NPR's Lulu Garcia-Navarro.
"Your car, your smart home appliances, your home security system – all of these systems have software that allows for this kind of control over how the devices are used, and I think we're going to see these same sorts of situations crop up in the context of physical devices that are being used in people's homes."
"As this technology has been deployed what we've seen is that the big beneficiaries of DRM have not been copyright holders. They have been technology companies like Amazon, like Microsoft, who are able to control these ecosystems to make it harder for consumers to switch over to new platforms."
Source
Sony
TV Shows "purchased" through the Play Station store were slated to be erased according to an announcement in December 2023. However, do to the immense and justified backlash, they reneged for now.
Apple
Apple can remove a movie from the App Store and, in some cases, make it impossible for you to access your "purchased" version if you don't have it downloaded. Source
Amazon
In 2020, a Class Action Lawsuit was filed against Amazon for this very reason. "Caudel v Amazon"
The plaintiff claimed that Amazon misleads customers about the reality of what it means to “purchase” a video through the site. Allegedly, the company is aware that customers will believe that purchasing a video gives them unlimited access to it because that is the usual understanding of the word “buy.”
The case was dismissed out of the California Federal Court due to lack of standing). Source.
These Terms of Use expressly state that purchasers obtain only a limited license to view video content and that purchased content may become unavailable due to provider license restriction or other reasons.
AKA: You don't own anything.
Source
More on the lawsuit. The legal filing. Dismissal
This phenomenon is part of what is known as "rentism", "rentier capitalism" or "techno-economic rentiership". It goes far beyond just movies and videogames, but this is getting a bit far afield from what one might expect from a standard Mogul Mail, so I won't dive deeper into that aspect of the subject, but you can google those terms and phrases to find some fun reading.

I forgot to tie this into the "Right to Repair" but this post is getting too long.

Can't even fix the stuff you own. Do you even really own it?
Tractors.
Ludwig, if you're reading this, please do a Mogul Mail about this topic; at least the videogame stuff. You can use all of these sources I've compiled and you don't need to credit me for the compilation. I don't care. This is important and more people should know.

2024.05.20 06:41 Extension-Mirror-949 Is luck attributed to your own personal mental health

I ask this because I’ve noticed when I’m struggling with my mental health or I’m pushing myself past my limits. I receive no help or coincidental betterment. And I feel like this “Luck factor” has a lot to do with how I interact with people and how much I interact with people
I’ve went through 2 years with only online interaction with the outside world and I gained nothing I worked for nothing I achieved nothing and at the end of it I asked my self if I got what I wanted or what I thought I deserved which in my case was friends people naturally wanting to socialize with me a new way to make money etc etc it didn’t come and I believe that it’s because I put no effort in
However in another instance this value of effort contradicts itself
A few years back my son was being made I was going to school 8hr per day 5x per week and then going to work 8-12 hours 5x per week and I was making time to do plasma donation and it got to a point where my mental health was awful and i would tell myself it’s ok to get going because if I quit my son won’t have a father that is actually able to be in his life because he doesn’t have enough money to provide and I was also in abusive relationship so it ended up getting to a point where I didn’t have enough time to sleep and I would get less than 4 hours of sleep most nights with a 30 min nap sometime during the day then I crashed my car Then I crashed my gf car Then My son was born and my mom kicked us out and we moved to California And I just kept on rolling and rolling and rolling annnnnnnd ROLLLLLING with the punches
But towards the end aswell as throughout it I thought ya know I’m lucky to have a son to look forward to I’m lucky to even still have this job I’m lucky to have an option other than homeless And that’s gratitude and I don’t really believe in luck but I do believe my is the thing that kept me alive
I has a serious thought but I ended up just venting and going on a rant I’m sorry yall Point of my story is when you in a shit spot and somehow it’s gets better it’s probably because of your gratitude and intentionally interacting with people whether it’s to better yourself or better them If you have any thoughts or questions feel free to add

2024.05.20 06:40 Yourcutiebabycakes My bf (M24) and I(F22) have always had a few issues in our relationship. Would I be considered to be asking for too much?

So here’s a little background. We have known each other for 4 years and it had started off well and about a month in I started getting this feeling that he wasn’t interested so I posed the question. He said he wasn’t interested anymore and I told him that’s okay I got the feeling, he felt really bad but assured him I was okay (this was in September-October of 2020).
Fast forward to the following New years I decided to check up on him because obviously I still cared and he mentioned being drunk so I told him to drink some water and eat something. We decided to go ahead and talk a little bit and that’s when he decided to tell me why he wasn’t “interested” because he wanted to fix things with his ex. He doesn’t remember telling me this the following day so I just leave it alone.
After that we started dating a few months later for the following years we were on and off because of disagreements when it came to me asking for, in my mind, simple things. I’m a hopeless romantic so I find gestures like flowers, homemade items, food, art etc to be very romantic gifts. This along with taking pictures with each other for memories. It makes me feel like I’m being seen and loved by the other person. This has been an ongoing issue when it comes to me having to ask for that and being called dramatic when he would question why I want those things and I’d always say why I do.
Now for the past 3 months we are back together after a break and it seems like that same issue is coming back up, he’s not very affectionate he never really has been. He told me that he doesn’t want to get me flowers, he makes excuses not to anyway. And still refuses to take pictures with me, which he doesn’t like pictures either. The current issue is that with our last break supposedly he told his friends that it was all my fault and now they hate me. I’ve only met them maybe 3 times and barely got to know them. My BF goes to car meets with his friends and that’s where I got to see them for the first time, I really enjoyed it cause it was my first car meet and I loved it. After that I told him how nice it was to meet his friends finally and how nice they were only to hear the next morning when I asked what his friends thought of me that they thought I was weird and it’s not that they called me weird that hurts but that it’s them in general I talked so well about them and I don’t think they’re bad friends but now they told my bf I can’t go to any car meets with them and it doesn’t entirely seem fair to me, especially the fact that I’ve known him longer than they have, it’s his car group why do your friends get to make decisions for you we’re adults but he is siding with them and saying he doesn’t want to have to choose. Just the other day he decided to say I don’t appreciate him, I reassured him that I do appreciate him and constantly say that I appreciate him. I don’t know, I just keep having these issues between him and I honestly, I don’t know what to do. I’m starting to feel like I just need to be on my own but I do love him.
I just need some advice on how to maybe go about this. I’m slowly just becoming hurt by it more. Thank you for any feedback.
Add: I forgot to mention we hangout once a month instead of once a week now…

2024.05.20 06:35 pitunache Windshield rattle after replacement

I replaced the windshield on my 2023 GX460 at the dealer a couple months ago. Right after, I started hearing a plastic rattling sound where the passenger A pillar meets the dashboard. It only happens on certain kinds of uneven roads, especially if the vehicle is flexing due to a height difference in the road. Sadly it’s hard to reliably reproduce. However, during my commute or on long drives, it drives me crazy.
I’ve taken it back to the dealer 3 times and showed them videos of the sound. After the tech drives it, they say they’re able to reproduce it and each time they tell me they’ve fixed it. They’ve supposedly checked all the clips, checked and “fixed” some of the welds behind the fender, but the noise is still there.
I’m going crazy because I feel like I’m just getting the runaround. Online all I can find is that some plastic clip must have broken when they installed the windshield. They claim that’s not the case and I don’t know how to prove otherwise.
At the end of the day, I could live with the noise if it were something normal for this car. But everyone talks about how it’s perfectly quiet, no rattles, etc. and since this started happening after the windshield replacement, I expect the dealer to fix it.
I’ve even brought up replacing the windshield again but they say that there’s nothing wrong with the installation and don’t seem willing to replace it. I’m tired of dealing with them after 3 attempts to fix it and this is really souring my experience with the “excellent customer service” that Lexus claims to provide. I’ve used Safelite in the past with other vehicles and have never had an issue, so going to the dealer feels like a huge mistake.
I’ve tried to find roads near the dealer where I can reproduce the noise, but sadly every road around there is perfectly smooth and I can’t make it happen reliably. Sometimes when I pick up the car, I can hear it as soon as I pull off the lot. Then I try driving over that segment again and not a peep.
Any advice what I can do here?
Here’s a short video of the rattling

🔗Curved Ceiling Track Room Divider Set (90 & 45 Degree Angles)

https://preview.redd.it/fehomd52fi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c844ff11e8b8b292d8751705f3f87c8ab3811f58
As someone who loves to decorate and rearrange my living space, I recently came across the 90-degree corner ceiling track set from Room Dividers Now. The product stood out to me because of its sleek design and promise of smooth operation.
The first thing I noticed when assembly began was the premium strength aluminum construction. It looked both stylish and sturdy in my room. But, as much as I love the look, it did make me feel slightly concerned about the weight it could support.
Installation was a breeze, thanks to the detailed instructions provided. The drywall mounting anchors and screws made the process even more straightforward. However, I did find the length of the legs a little restrictive - they extend only 3 feet from the center point of the curve.
I've used this corner ceiling track set for a few months now, and it's served its purpose well. It's perfect for hanging curtains or dividers in tight spaces like my office or guest room. But, I also noticed that the track doesn't hold as much weight as I'd hoped it would. It might not be the best option for heavier curtains or room dividers.
Overall, this corner ceiling track set from Room Dividers Now is an attractive, inexpensive, and easily installed solution for those with smaller spaces or lighter-weight curtains. While it isn't perfect for everyone, it's definitely a step in the right direction for those looking to add a bit of personality to their walls.

🔗Multi-Functional Ceiling Track Room Divider for Large Spaces

https://preview.redd.it/hwcr4lg2fi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fa888711b5abe8a65a4a663a398a808b5806f53
I've been using InStyleDesign's Heavy Duty White Wall or Ceiling Curtain Track for a while now, and I must say it's been a game-changer in my home. The first thing that stood out to me was the ease of installation - it took only a few minutes to set everything up. The sturdiness of this track is impressive too - it can hold some seriously heavy curtains without any issues.
Now, let's talk visual appeal. These tracks come in white, which provides a clean and sophisticated look. Plus, they're versatile - you can use them as both wall and ceiling tracks to divide your space effectively.
However, there were a couple of downsides during my experience. Firstly, the provided brackets could have been more comprehensive for different ceiling heights. And secondly, the length advertised was a bit longer than expected, but that wasn't a deal-breaker for me. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase of InStyleDesign's Heavy Duty White Wall or Ceiling Curtain Track, and I believe it would make a great addition to any home.

🔗Flexible Ceiling Curtain Track for Shower Bay Window RV Room Divider

As a reviewer, I recently installed the Gaahing flexible ceiling curtain track in my personal space. It's a perfect blend of style and functionality. The package includes everything you need for a seamless installation process. With an impressive 3-meter-long curtain track, 4 end caps, 24 track rollers, 26 curtain hooks, 11 sets of anchors and screws, and 10 ceiling mounting brackets, this product is truly a one-stop-shop for all your curtain installation needs.
The one feature that stood out the most is the flexible, curved design of the track. It blends perfectly with a variety of room styles, from RVs to shower bays and beyond. Additionally, the curtain hook system is incredibly easy to handle. For mounting, we encountered minor setbacks, but the inclusion of end caps made the installation process less complicated.
There is no such thing as a perfect product, though, and our curtain track is no exception. The anchors provided weren't the most sturdy, but we found a quick fix by purchasing some additional hardware at the store. Overall, I'd highly recommend this Gaahing flexible ceiling curtain track to anyone looking for a functional and visually appealing room divider solution.

I recently tried this upgraded aluminum curtain track and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of installation. This track is perfect for anyone looking to show off their DIY skills! The 3.6 ft length can be easily adjusted to fit the specific width of your window and features a dual mounting option for both ceiling and wall installations. The beautiful and elegant appearance of the installed track only adds to its charm.
The high-quality alloy ball bearing rollers smoothly glide along the aluminum track channel, offering a strong bearing capacity. I also appreciated the modern and minimalistic design of the unique grooved aluminum track and stainless steel end caps. This sleek design is versatile and widely applicable for various purposes, including window curtains, shower curtains, and room dividers.
The seller's optional track turn corner and plenty of extra accessories make this product even more convenient and useful. And best of all, the installation process is straightforward, with clear instructions provided. Don't miss the opportunity to add elegance and functionality to your living space with this upgraded aluminum curtain track.

As someone who's tried out the Now Ceiling Track Room Divider Kit, I have to say, it's been quite a game-changer. With its impressive 18-foot reach, this divider effortlessly creates sections in my space that feel private and cozy without breaking the bank.
What stood out to me was the ease of installation; the comprehensive kit made it a breeze, even for someone like me who isn't particularly handy. The divider itself is heavyweight, which adds to its sturdiness and ability to block light effectively.
However, one downside I noticed was the lack of color options. As someone who likes to mix things up, it would have been great to have more choices. But overall, this Room Divider Kit from Now has been a fantastic investment for my home – striking the perfect balance between functionality and style.

Using the Solokos Room Divider Ceiling Track Set for Curtains has been a game-changer in my living space. The simple 90-degree track connectors have made it easy to create L-shaped setups, giving me the flexibility I needed for different parts of my home. The installation process was a breeze, thanks to the included instructions.
The ceiling track set has a wide range of applications, from living rooms and bedrooms to shower spaces and classrooms. I appreciate that the track is made of high-quality aluminum alloy, ensuring a solid structure and lasting beauty. However, I did notice that the room divider curtains are not included, and I had to purchase them separately.
Overall, the Solokos Room Divider Ceiling Track Set for Curtains has been a valuable addition to my home, providing both convenience and style. While it would be great to have the curtains included, the wide range of applications and easy installation more than make up for it.

🔗Durable Curved Ceiling Track Set for Room Dividers (45 Degree Angle)

I recently came across the Room Dividers Now corner track set and decided to give it a try in my home. The sleek silver track stood out against the white wall, providing a modern and elegant look. The 45-degree angle made it easy to create a cozy reading nook, which I loved. What really blew me away was the smoothness of the curtain travel around the corner - a feature I hadn't seen before.
However, the track did require a bit of effort to install, and I found I had to make some adjustments to get it perfectly in line with the wall. The roller hooks could have been a bit more sturdy, as they occasionally slid off their tracks if I accidentally bumped into the corner.
Despite the minor drawbacks, I have to say that this corner ceiling track has improved the ambiance of my room. The premium strength aluminum makes it a durable and attractive addition, and the 10 roller hooks and 2 end caps provided everything I needed for installation. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

🔗Adjustable Aluminum Curtain Track System for Room Dividing

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Tom Tool 36ft-72ft Upgraded Aluminum Curtain Track Ceiling Track System. The package came with everything I needed to easily create a stylish room divider that could also be used as a window track. The white aluminum alloy curtains glided smoothly on the 3.6ft monorail, which was easy to install by following the step-by-step instructions provided.
One of the highlights of this product was the ability to adjust and extend the track length freely, ensuring that it could accommodate windows of different sizes without any issues. The load-bearing strength of each track was also impressive, as it could support up to 30 kg—plenty for any curtains.
While the installation process was straightforward, I did find that the track connector could have been a bit sturdier. However, once everything was set up, the track proved to be a functional and attractive addition to my home. Overall, the Tom Tool Curtain Track System was a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to add a touch of elegance to their living space.

🔗Ceiling Track Room Divider for Privacy and Space Separation

https://preview.redd.it/wwcatnj5fi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4998e12355ec929b4a2eb6fc75587140f844c97b
I recently had the opportunity to try the Room Dividers/Now Ceiling Track Room Divider Kit, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. As someone who frequently needs to create private spaces in my home, this product offered a convenient and affordable solution. The rich seafoam color added a touch of elegance to my living area, making it a perfect addition to my daily life.
One of the standout features of this divider kit was its ease of installation. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I could set it up without any assistance. The heavyweight material significantly reduced light, providing the much-needed privacy I desired. The ability to create and separate spaces between 4ft 6in and 6ft wide made it incredibly versatile, suitable for various settings such as studios, apartments, and shared spaces.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. I noticed that the metal tracks in the kit did not allow for a smooth pull to the curtain. Although it didn't stop the curtains from moving along the track, it did cause a delay in the movement. Additionally, I found that the curtains' length was somewhat of a pro and a con. For those with high ceilings, the length would be beneficial, but for others, it resulted in a messy bunching appearance.
In conclusion, the Room Divider Kit from Now Ceiling Track was a fantastic solution to my need for privacy and versatility within my living space. The sturdy construction, ease of installation, and attractive appearance make it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking a practical and stylish room divider.

🔗Stylish White Ceiling Track Room Divider

In search of a ceiling curtain track that could elevate my living space and divide a room in style, I stumbled upon Instyledesign's Heavy Duty White Ceiling Curtain Track. With high praise among customers, I was eager to test it out and share my experience in this roundup review.
First and foremost, the package arrived in perfect condition with the 16' track, two master carriers, two battons, two end stops, and mounting hardware in tow. Upon installation, I easily hung my curtains from the sturdy and attractive track, as its height and width suited my needs. This heavy-duty curtain track did an excellent job at creating a neat and clean appearance while offering the convenience of seamless movements.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing, as I faced a challenge with the absence of clear instructions. I learned the hard way that there was no room for error when measuring the holes for drilling to the ceiling. Additionally, those using concrete ceilings would likely face difficulty in trying to make the holes only with a drill.
Nonetheless, the satisfaction from hanging my curtains from this ceiling curtain track left me feeling content and inspired by the transformative effect it had on my living space. It added a sophisticated, hotel-like quality to my curtains and served as a functional room divider. When all was said and done, the pros outweighed the cons for me with this Instyledesign Heavy Duty White Ceiling Curtain Track in my hands.

When I first received the KXLife Flexible Curtain Ceiling Track, I couldn't wait to put it to the test in my home. I was impressed by its ease of installation, and how it could be bent into various shapes to fit virtually any window or ceiling track room divider system.
The embedded metal plate not only adds strength but also makes the track incredibly flexible, allowing it to hold even heavy fabric curtains without breaking. This feature makes it perfect for hanging a wide range of curtains, including window curtains, room divider curtains, RV curtains, shower curtains, backdrop, and holiday decorations.
Despite its ability to bend at any angle, the KXLife Flexible Curtain Ceiling Track runs quietly and smoothly with quality rollers. The package even comes with an installation guide to make everything even easier.
One minor drawback is that it's made in China, which might raise some concerns about product quality. However, overall, this curtain track exceeds my expectations and has become an essential addition to my home.

I recently tried the Domovina Room Divider Track Kit, which is a great addition to any space needing a convenient and stylish division. The heavy-duty ceiling track is incredibly easy to install, and it's perfect for dividing a large room into smaller areas without disrupting the overall aesthetic.
One of my favorite features is the inclusion of both 6ft and 8ft white aluminum ceiling tracks, which make it easy to customize the divider to fit any space. The 30 ball bearing sliders with stainless steel hooks work smoothly and efficiently, while the end caps ensure a polished and professional finish.
However, I did notice that the maximum weight capacity of the track kit is only 20 lbs. , so it may not be ideal for heavier items or more demanding usage scenarios. But for most everyday needs, it more than suffices.
Overall, the Domovina Room Divider Track Kit is an excellent choice for anyone looking to easily divide a space in their home or office. With its easy installation, customizable lengths, and durable materials, it's definitely worth considering for your next project.

I recently had the chance to try out the Ontrack Track Roller with Hook of Room Divider Ceiling Track, and let me tell you, this little guy is a game changer. The first thing that caught my eye was its sleek white design, which perfectly complemented my room divider track set.
Getting it set up was a breeze – just slide it right into the track, and it rolls effortlessly along. I was impressed with how smoothly it glided, without any hiccups or resistance. Made of a sturdy steel hook, it didn't feel like it would bend or break under pressure.
In terms of dimensions, the Roller is compact and lightweight, fitting easily into small spaces and maintaining a low profile. However, it was a bit tricky to keep it in place, and sometimes it would slide out a bit. Other than that minor setback, this little Roller worked like a charm and proved to be a handy addition to my room divider setup.

2024.05.20 06:31 GimmeSomeOfYerTots What is a cheap (but reliable) scooter for a beginner?

My car just broke down (again) and it’s going to be almost 1k to fix. It’s old, got a lot of miles and overall just a big pain in my ass at this point. I’ve been thinking about getting a scooter. I’m a young adult, no kids or anything. I work within walking distance and the city I live in has almost no freeways. I drive about 5.5 miles to the city over once a week, but other than that I don’t travel very far often.
At this point do you think it’s financially worth it for me to just invest that 1k into a scooter and use that for a while as I save up towards a better car in the future? I’ve heard that scooters are great on gas and it seems like my life style is perfect for having one as my main transportation. At least temporarily.
Do you have any recommendations for something cheap but would at least safely get me around for a while as a beginner?
I’ve seen some used ones online for less than 1k.. is that worth it or do you think I’d end up having to put way more into fixes?

🔗Organize your CDs with style - Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box

https://preview.redd.it/qwndx28vci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f3f4c8527fe71bac1d1b37cc6612080ef784ea4
I recently tried out the Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box for my music collection, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The sturdy industrial snaps made it a breeze to assemble and secured it perfectly for long-term use. The card holder was a great addition, as it allowed me to easily label each section with the name of the music artist.
The leather-like PVC laminate exterior gave it a sophisticated, stylish appearance, complementing any room decor. However, one minor drawback was that the boxes slightly overlapped when placed next to each other, creating a stacking issue. Overall, I'm happy with this product and highly recommend it for anyone looking for an organized, attractive solution to managing their CD collection.

🔗Double-Wide CD/DVD Storage Box for Organized Media

https://preview.redd.it/4vgbdpfvci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31060decac43d1c40d1fe243579bc2ce465ee10d
The Snap-N-Store storage box in the eye-catching Berry color is a fantastic addition to any home or office for organizing your music and movies. I love how sturdy it is - the reinforced corners and heavy-duty panels with industrial-sized snaps really hold everything in place. It's such a simple yet effective solution for keeping CDs and DVDs neat and tidy.
The box can hold up to 60 full jewel cases, 120 slim cases, or 330 CDs/DVDs in sleeves. The chrome card holder on the front is a nice touch for easy labeling. And, with 50% post-consumer recycled content, there's a positive environmental impact to boot.
However, one thing that bugged me was that the center divider is slightly slanted or crooked, making it difficult to hold two rows of CDs properly. Despite this minor flaw, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Overall, a great find that I can highly recommend for those looking to keep their music and movies organized.

🔗Clear CD Storage Tote with Movable Dividers

https://preview.redd.it/5bly8bvvci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fe96f31d88986a3127caa4d4e7b075c2c6197dd
I recently needed a reliable storage solution for my extensive music collection and stumbled upon the Iris Large Media Storage Box. I was thrilled to see that it could accommodate up to 120 CDs, giving me ample space to organize my favorite tunes. The tote's clear design allowed me to easily identify the contents without needing to open it, which was a game-changer for my music storage needs.
One of the standout features was the snap-tight lid, which kept my precious CDs secure and protected from dust and potential damage. The clear lid and body were also perfect for quick identification, while the movable dividers made it simple to customize the container box to fit my storage preferences.
However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience when trying to organize the CDs. The plastic sleeves were challenging to remove without causing scratches on the disc itself. This required extra care and attention during the organization process.
Overall, the Iris Large Media Storage Box has been a fantastic addition to my music storage routine. Its sleek design, ample space, and protective features make it a top choice for anyone looking to keep their CDs organized and secure.

🔗Birchwood CD Storage Cabinet with Vintage Details

https://preview.redd.it/1wr2d45wci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13ef213f17660d0acbd7cec76b4ae7603fc8b7d3
I recently had the chance to try out this beautiful media storage cabinet in my own home, and I must say I'm quite impressed. The walnut finish adds a touch of warmth and elegance, while the library-style drawers remind you of a bygone era.
One of the things that stood out to me was the sturdy construction. The 24 deep drawers hold 19 discs each, which is perfect for my CD collection. The assembly-free delivery was a bonus too—no need to spend hours piecing it together myself.
However, the finger pull hardware on the drawers could have been better. While the label slots are a nice touch, some of the hardware felt a bit flimsy. I also noticed that the slides in a few drawers didn't seem as smooth as I would have liked.
All in all, this storage cabinet is a great addition to my home. It looks fantastic, keeps my discs dust-free, and offers plenty of room for my growing collection. The minor issues with the hardware and slides were easy to overlook considering the benefits.

🔗Versatile CD Storage Box Set for Optimal Organization

I recently came across this amazing CD Storage Box set of 3, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. I used to have a mess of CDs scattered all over the place, but this set solved my storage woes in a jiffy. The large capacity is seriously impressive - it can hold up to 165 discs! The non-woven fabric material is sturdy and durable, making it the perfect long-term storage solution for my CDs.
One of the best features of this set is the lidded design that keeps my discs away from dust. It's also collapseable, which is great because it saves space when I'm not using it. And the best part? It's not just limited to storing CDs – I've found it to be a versatile organizer for all sorts of things, from books to passports to toys.
Of course, no product is perfect. I wish the handles were a bit stronger, but overall, this CD Storage Box set has been a lifesaver for my ever-growing CD collection. If you're in the market for a reliable and spacious storage solution, give this set a try – I don't think you'll be disappointed.

🔗Aluminum Hard Case for Media Storage: 1000 CD DVD Storage Holder w/ Chrome Metal Reinforcement

Embracing the world of technology and organization, I found myself in need of a reliable and sturdy disc storage solution for my growing collection of CDs and DVDs. Enter the Hongwa CD/DVD Hard Case, a sleek and shiny addition to my media room.
Setting up the hard case was a breeze; its quarter round shape and robust aluminum construct make it a solid and durable storage solution. I was particularly impressed with the chrome metal corner and extra strip reinforcements, ensuring that my discs remained safe and secure. The case came with two hinges and two chrome locks, providing a secure and stylish enclosure for my treasured media.
As I filled the Hongwa Hard Case with my vast collection of CDs and DVDs, I marveled at the spaciousness it offered. The ability to store up to 1000 discs made me wonder how I had ever managed without it. The sleek aluminum exterior not only looked fantastic, but it also provided my discs with an extra layer of protection, keeping them free from scratches and fingerprints.
Despite its impressive features, the Hongwa CD/DVD Hard Case did have a couple of downsides. The price point might be a bit higher than some competing products, but when compared to their durability and capacity, it was well worth the investment. Shipping times were also a little longer than I would have preferred, but considering the care and attention to detail invested in the product, I was willing to be patient.
In conclusion, the Hongwa CD/DVD Hard Case is an excellent addition to any media enthusiast's setup, offering a stylish and sturdy solution for disc storage. While there might be a few minor issues with the shipping times and price point, the overall quality and functionality of the case far outweigh these shortcomings, making it a worthy investment for anyone looking to organize and protect their valuable media collection.

🔗Organize Your CDs with Style: Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box Set (Set of 2, Black)

https://preview.redd.it/pilx8e7xci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72106fb7e385def6ded1437de5b32a23df8d6a20
As someone who enjoys having their CD collection handy but also neatly organized, I found the Snap-N-Store CD Storage Boxes to be a game-changer. Set up was a breeze - just snap the sides together and your music organizer is ready to use. The sturdy construction and reinforced corners made these CD boxes a reliable choice, and the chrome card holder on the front was a convenient touch for labeling different genres.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks that I noticed. Firstly, the snaps on some of the boxes didn't seem as tight as I would have preferred, causing them to pop open occasionally. Secondly, the label on the card holder seemed a bit small, making it difficult to read the genre from a distance. Despite these minor issues, the Snap-N-Store CD Storage Boxes did a great job of keeping my CDs organized and within easy reach.

🔗Luxury CD/DVD Storage Binder Set by Bellagio-Italia

This Bellagio-Italia DVD Storage Book Box set, consisting of an Imperial black and a Persian burgundy combo, does just that. These classy, eye-catching patterns not only provide a unique storage solution but also add an element of sophistication to any room in your house.
What stood out most was the complete enclosure made by the side and lid, ensuring the protection and security of your discs and other valuable items. Each box comes with 12 sheets installed, capable of holding up to 48 discs. The patented 3-ring rivet even allows for expansion with other Bellagio-Italia Insert Sheets for a more extensive collection.
The only drawback I found was its limited capacity, but given the small luxurious footprint it occupies, it's well worth it. Overall, this CD/DVD Storage Binder Set by Bellagio-Italia is a fantastic addition to your home, providing both style and functionality, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

🔗Stylish Acrylic Media Storage Box for CDs and DVDs

This AUXPhome Clear Acrylic DVD/CD Storage Box has been a game-changer in my life. The sleek and stylish acrylic design fits perfectly with my kitchen countertop, and it's been a fantastic way to keep my CD collection organized. Its open design makes finding the specific disc I need a breeze. Plus, the unique floating and invisible effects make it look like a piece of art, not a mere storage box.
What truly sets this CD holder apart from others is its high-quality acrylic construction. Unlike those made of artificial leather or plastic, this media storage box has proven to be very durable. No more worrying about damaging my CDs or having to deal with unsightly storage solutions.
However, one downside of this product is the price point. It may seem a bit steep compared to other CD storage options, but the durability and elegant design it offers certainly make it worth the investment. This sleek silver case provides a safe and convenient home for up to 300 discs, with a velvet lining and solid chrome metal corners to keep them secure. The aluminum frame, along with the ABS panel, gives the case a sturdy feel, while the chrome handle makes it easy to transport.
However, I did notice that the quality of the hanging sleeves could be improved. Sometimes, the material felt a bit cheap, and the fit was a bit tight, which could make removing the discs a bit difficult. Overall, though, I'm impressed with the product's durability and capacity, and I'm confident it will last a long time in my collection.

🔗NETTIA ABS Storage Box for CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays

Plus, its Rapid Drive elevation adjustment system allowed me to make quick, high-precision adjustments with ease.
However, there were some cons too. For instance, the learning curve to use all the features can be quite steep. But once you get a hang of it, it's definitely worth the effort.
All in all, the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight has been an absolute game-changer for me. Its unique features, combined with its impeccable craftmanship, make it a top-of-the-line choice for anyone seeking an accurate and reliable bow sight.

Weighing at 9.856 oz, it has been enhanced with new features such as three vertical pins, including a fixed center pin and micro-adjustable first and third pins. To add a touch of personalization, the machined aluminum casing supports the use of CBE Peep alignment rings and boasts a selection of four vibrant colors. Additionally, the Trek 3V Pro sight can be easily customized with the option to incorporate a CBE Picatinny or CBE Bridge Lock adapter.
This sight also comes equipped with the signature CBE Hybrid Drive system, which offers extensive adjustment capabilities. Highlight features include the hard stop, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd axis adjustments, micro windage, laser-engraved sight scales, and vertical multi-pin support. Despite the limited availability in certain locations such as Hebron, Liman, Obezet, or Lebanon, this versatile sight remains a top contender amongst competitors in the industry.

As an archer, I found the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight to be a game-changer for my game. The frustration-free pin adjustments allowed me to quickly and easily engage and move just one pin at a time, thanks to the easy-to-use loosen hex screw system. The Armed Guard Fiber Management System kept my fibers protected every step of the way, providing brighter pins for enhanced accuracy.
What really stood out for me was the Quad Track four-track stability adjustment system that eliminated any rocking or rattling, providing unparalleled stability. The machined Rapid Drive elevation adjustment system made quick, high-precision adjustments a breeze with just one turn covering 1.5 units of travel. Plus, the ergonomic knob made adjustments a breeze, even during intense sessions.
However, one minor drawback I noticed was the weight of the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight, which felt slightly heavier than my previous sights. But overall, the benefits definitely outweighed the minor inconvenience, making this sight a must-have for any serious archer.

🔗CBE Trek Vertical 2 Pin Lightweight Sight with Advanced Visibility

I recently gave the Trek Vertical 2V bow sight a try, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. The sight's compact vertical pin design created an ample amount of space in my sight picture, offering a clear, unobstructed view. I particularly loved the single pin with two fiber optic aiming points, which combined to provide me with great visibility and functionality.
The machined aluminum scope housings were a sleek and sturdy addition to the sight, and I appreciated the CBE Peep alignment rings that came with them. The inclusion of rheostat sight lights and the ability to modify the sight to fit various adapters was a nice touch. However, the directions could have been more user-friendly, as I had to resort to watching YouTube videos for proper assembly.
In conclusion, the CBE Trek Vertical 2V bow sight is a solid and well-built piece of equipment, providing a clear picture and efficient aiming points for better accuracy. Just remember to have patience when setting it up, and you'll be ready to hit your targets in no time.

The CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight is a game-changer for archers who want a smooth and efficient shooting experience. With its unique dovetail mounting system, it ensures a stable and accurate shot every time. One of the standout features is the hybrid elevation adjustment, which allows for fine-tuned adjustments with just a single turn of the knob.
The ergonomic design of the knob makes it easy to manipulate, even in the heat of the moment. Additionally, the quad track system eliminates any unwanted wobbling or rattling, providing a solid foundation. The rapid drive elevation adjustment system is truly rapid, offering high-precision adjustments in a matter of seconds.
However, one potential downside is the relatively short length of 10 inches. While this may be ideal for some, it could limit the versatility for others. Despite this, the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight proves to be a top-performing choice for many archers searching for a reliable and efficient sight for their bow.

The CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight 3 Pin RH. 019 was a game-changer for my bow hunting experience. The dovetail mounting system ensured a sturdy attachment to my bow, eliminating any chances of it coming loose during use. The hybrid elevation adjustment allowed me to make quick and precise adjustments to the sight height, ensuring better accuracy with every shot.
The 2nd and 3rd axis adjustments quiver attachment came in handy when I was fine-tuning my sight. It allowed for fine-tuning the sight's position on my quiver, making it easier to stay on target even when using different quivers. The quad track design utilizing Delrin tracks provided a smooth and stable shooting experience, reducing any unwanted movement while aiming.
One of the features that impressed me the most was the rapid drive for fast elevation adjustments. It made it easy to quickly make adjustments on the fly when needed, allowing me to stay focused on my target. The machined Rapid Drive elevation adjustment system provided a high-precision adjustment, giving me the confidence to make the perfect shot.
However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The sight housing felt a bit loose, causing some rattling as I moved the sight. Although this didn't affect my accuracy, it did make the shooting experience less enjoyable. Additionally, I had trouble reaching a response from CBE when I contacted them regarding this issue.
Overall, the CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight 3 Pin RH. 019 was an exceptional product that significantly improved my bow hunting experience. Its features, such as the hybrid elevation adjustment and quad track design, offered a great balance between accuracy and ease of use. While the loose housing may be a drawback for some, the positives outweighed the negatives in my experience.

The CBE Engage Hybrid Bow Sight has been a game changer in my archery pursuits. I particularly appreciate its frustration-free pin adjustments, allowing me to make precise adjustments with ease. Using the CBE Engage Hybrid as my trusted companion on hunting trips, I must say I was impressed by its smooth performance. The dovetail mounting system made installation a breeze, and the hybrid elevation adjustment allowed for precise calibration.
The micro adjustable windage with clicks was a gamechanger, making my shots more accurate than ever. However, I did notice that the adjustable 2nd and 3rd axis might require some practice to get the hang of. Overall, the Engage Hybrid proved to be a reliable and versatile choice for 3D archery and hunting.

Last week, I decided to upgrade my bow sight to something more versatile and technologically advanced. After some research, I decided to give the CBE Trek Pro Sight 1 Pin a try. Right out of the box, I was drawn to its sleek, modern design and the premium materials used in its construction.
As I began fine-tuning the CBE Trek Pro, I couldn't help but notice how the 3 axis micro-adjustments made it incredibly easy to get the perfect sight for both short and long-range shots. The inclusion of a mount system added even more convenience, making it a breeze to set up for any situation.
What stood out in my experience, however, was the weight of the sight. At 10.3 ounces with the mount, it is on the heavier side. I also found the absence of a warranty somewhat concerning, but the sight's reliability and accuracy more than made up for it.
Overall, the CBE Trek Pro Sight 1 Pin is a terrific bow sight for those seeking both ease of use and pinpoint accuracy. Despite its slightly heavy weight, it's definitely worth a try if you're in the market for an upgrade.

🔗Lightweight Carbon Fiber CBE Trek Pro 3 Pin Sight for Bow Hunting

I recently gave the CBE Trek Pro 3 Pin Sight a try, and I must say, it truly is an exceptional addition to any bow build. The lightweight slider sight, perfect for 30 and 60-yard accuracy, comes with 14 laser engraved aluminum sight tapes. Not only can it handle any distance or scenario with ease, but it also offers fine-tuning with micro-adjustable windage and elevation.
As someone who often uses a bow for outdoor activities, I was particularly impressed with the CBE Trek Pro's lightweight design. With its carbon fiber extension dovetail sight bar, the sight offers numerous mounting positioning options. Another plus is the new sliding rheostat cover to optimize pin brightness in any light conditions.
As a user, the customizable shot acquisition and proper lighting are essential for my needs. The CBE Trek Pro delivers with its interchangeable peep alignment rings, rheostat light, and the ability to add a 41mm lens/sunshade. The body's durability in tough conditions is also a great feature. Although I haven't used it for fishing purposes, I can attest to its versatility and reliability. Overall, I would highly recommend the CBE Trek Pro 3 Pin Sight to anyone seeking an accurate and lightweight sight for their bow build.

🔗CX5 Carbon Sight: Lightweight Hunting Bow Accessory with Rheostat Sight Light and Adjustable Pins

https://preview.redd.it/cg79qawpbi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bc297254e312aca4f52884db44909411f81e8c1
As someone who spends a lot of time in the great outdoors, I've come across my fair share of hunting gear. But nothing quite compares to the CBE CX5 Carbon Sight. This thing is simply remarkable. Weighing in at just 9 ounces, it's a marvel of engineering that manages to be both lightweight and ultra-stiff. The dovetail mounting brackets, adjustment rails, and scope housing are all machined aluminum, lending a sense of durability that only adds to its appeal.
But it's not just about looks. The sight features a 4th interchangeable fluorescent peep alignment ring, with the ability to switch between green, red, yellow, and grey. This customization offers a level of versatility that's rare in this category. And let's not forget about low light conditions. The CX5 handles them with ease, thanks to its five. 019 blade-style pins, 12" of fiber optic per pin, and an included rheostat light.
However, I must admit, one of my favorite features is its ease of use. The micro adjustable and multiple mounting positions for elevation and windage make sighting in a breeze. And the fact that it's fully ambidextrous is a huge plus. It's been a pleasure to assemble and use this sight in my hunting endeavors.
That being said, no product is without its drawbacks. While the CX5 has a lot to offer, it's worth mentioning that the user manual could be clearer, especially for first-time users. And while the rheostat sight light is a great addition, it could benefit from a redesign to make it more intuitive to use.
Overall, the CBE CX5 Carbon Sight has been a game changer for me. It's lightweight, robust, versatile, and easy to use. While it's not perfect, it's hard to deny that it's one of the best hunting sights I've had the pleasure of using.

🔗CBE Trek 2V Pin Sight: Vertical 2-Pin Bow Sight for Precision Hunting

I recently tried out the CBE Trek 2V Vertical Pin Sight, and I must say, it made quite an impact on my archery experience. I was particularly impressed by the compact vertical pin design that allowed for more space in my sight picture, making it easier for me to aim accurately.
One feature that stood out was the single pin with two fiber optic aiming points at a fixed gap. It provided ultimate visibility, helping me to sight in the bow easily. The machined aluminum scope housings were a nice touch, and I appreciated the ability to choose from four different colors.
However, there were a couple of downsides that I encountered. Firstly, the instructions were not as comprehensive as I would have liked, and it took some time to figure out how to sight the bow properly. I wish there were written instructions in the box, as the ones provided were difficult to understand on my smartphone.
Secondly, I faced some issues with finding a sight tape that matched the exact specs of my bow. Eventually, I had to pass it on to my son, who was using a slower bow and didn't face the same problem. Despite these drawbacks, the CBE Trek 2V Vertical Pin Sight ultimately proved to be a high-quality, functional bow sight.

Imagine stepping into the archery range, confident and calm with the CBE Trek 2V Vertical Pin Sight 2 pin hanging proudly on your bow. I had the chance to try this sight and let me tell you, it made quite an impact.
The sight houses a single pin with two fiber optic aiming points, a compact vertical pin design that creates more space in your sight picture. It's these little details that make the CBE Trek 2V shine.
The machined aluminum scope housings accept CBE Peep alignment rings and come in four different colors to choose from, giving it that personal touch. Rheostat sight lights are included and you can even modify it to fit CBE Picatinny or CBE Bridge Lock adapters.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The complexity of the setup is slightly higher than other bows I've tried. But once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing. Another thing to consider is the availability of sight tapes that fit your bow perfectly.
Despite these minor inconveniences, I found the CBE Trek 2V Vertical Pin Sight 2 pin to be a solid, reliable addition to any bow enthusiast's collection.

2024.05.20 06:04 KomturAdrian A family member said I was lazy

I already know my brother-in-law doesn’t like me that much. I don’t really care for him either, but that’s for another rant. Anyway, I heard that he was talking behind my back and calling me lazy.
I have the standard 40 hour work week like everyone else. Except sometimes I go in at 4am, sometimes 9am, maybe even 2pm - it’s different everyday; no such thing as a sleep schedule. And I don’t get two days off in a row. You simply have two random days off during the week. Maybe a Monday, maybe a Thursday. Next week it’ll be two different days. Never two in a row.
But normally? I’ll stay for 10 hours. I’ll even stay for 12, 14, or even 16 hours a day. During the holidays? I stay all day if they let me, and I always work 7 days a week around that time.
On the two days that I AM off I get up every morning and drive nearly an hour to college, where I take a 3 hour lab. After that there’s no free time. I have three other classes online. There’s a lot of reading material for all three. And I’m the nerd who actually does read the content. And them I have to take the quizzes, do the homework, do the tests, the papers, the research, the finals, the projects, all of that. And on Thursdays from 6pm-8:30ish I help provide support for current and recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.
There’s never a day when I DON’T leave the house. I can’t remember the last time I went a full 24 hours where I was in my house or yard the whole time. Every day is a drive.
I do my own car maintenance, I haul my own garbage and recycling to the recycling center (which is also a dump), I weedeat my dad’s yard, and I help HIM with his car maintenance. And any laborious job my parents have - I’m the one that does it. Not my brother or sister, ME.
He probably attributes it to me being in my room all day, or ‘sleeping’ all day. Yeah, I take a one hour nap every day after work. But you’ll tend to do that after getting a max of 6 hours of sleep a day. That’s a MAX, because some days I only get 4 or 5. I’ve been up for nearly three days once. If my medication didn’t make me drowsy I would be getting even LESS sleep.
When I’m in my room I’m doing my schoolwork, or MAYBE putting in an hour of ‘me time’ with a game.
And I bust my ass at work. I walk several miles a day in there, up to 12 miles a day sometimes. It’s not like I’m sitting around in comfortable a/c. I’m speed walking around a hot ass store, one 30min break that I DON’T get paid for. MAYBE a 15min break, sometimes. And this is 8+ hours.
Don’t get me wrong, this guy has a tough job too - outside and hot ass weather, maybe 10 hours a day. And he has three kids. I respect that. But when he gets off he gets high and drunk until he passes out. And enjoys his two or three day weekend and all the recreational stuff him and my sister get up to.
Fuck you man. I have a lot going on; non-existent sleep schedule, no time for anything except work and school, no rest, no breaks. And I’m not bitching about my life - I enjoy this chaotic lifestyle.
Guy would be absolutely flabbergasted at my friend. Two master’s degrees, seven day work weeks, single mom of two kids (which she had while getting the masters’), and STILL outperforms everyone at work, with one of the scariest medical conditions out there. Literally the strongest, greatest woman I have ever met in my life.
Go roll your joint and fall asleep on the couch while my niece begs for your attention.

2024.05.20 06:02 JustStopItDamn This Girl On Live Lying Her Ass Off

This chick is about to take advantage of these elderly folks! She cancelled the woman's debit card, to get a new one...she wants to put her social security card, birth certificate, etc., in a lock box with a key that she doesn't want to know where the key is located, but she's gonna ask her every day: WHERE IS YOUR KEY, DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE IT IS? I smell trouble...I pray to God Porsha doesn't make this poor lady any sicker. She already had a stroke.
She told her fake Uncle, she knows the mechanic, he has previously worked on 3 of her cars, then she said that she happenstanced to AutoZone, where old dude gave her his business card and said he would hook her up. Girl get your lies together!!
She has moved into this woman's house and is making moves without having the proper conversations, just trying to take over as usual, but this man is kind of on top of stuff!
Now she is about to beg for TikTok to fix her car, she begged for sheets, she begged for food, but the kicker is, she said she's going to delete TikTok once she receives the money of others, to get her car repaired...y'all go on and be stupid!!!
On another note...the bathroom is only accessible through the room Porsha, Chris, Jamell, and her two kids are occupying, so the poor lady has to go through their junkiness, to get to the bathroom and Porsha doesn't really have privacy...her and Chris are going to be at each other's throats...the space is very small and they don't like sharing too much time together, or the same space...Chris likes to be one with his game. Chile, this is turning out to be a royal mess!

2024.05.20 05:58 Boring_Channel7275 Help! Noob on financing

Okay. I am thinking about getting my wife either a new Pilot or Odyssey for the family. Luckily enough, I have avoided buying or leasing a new car my entire life. I grew up working on cars and I’ve always just picked up a used car on the cheap and kept fixing it. I just don’t have the time anymore to dedicate to working on cars, unfortunately. So I live in New York metro area. I keep seeing Honda has special financing rates for 3.9% for well-qualified buyers for 24-48 months or 4.9% for 49-60 months for both the Pilot and Odyssey. So my question is: Is anyone in the NYC tri-state area getting these rates? I am curious to know since I keep reading online people posting their rates of 6% and higher. My credit score is 800, salary is pretty good, I have zero debt. My neighbor just picked up a new hybrid CR-V and they gave him around 6.5% and he’s financed probably four to five Hondas over the years, granted I don’t know his credit history.
So if I apply through Honda’s website to be preapproved, I know that they won’t tell me my rate and I have to go through the dealership. Can I use that preapproval with multiple dealers and expect one hard pull on my credit or will each dealer do a hard pull and screw my credit? Sorry. Total noob here when it comes to financing a car and their practices. :/ Just wondering how I can play each dealer with each other as I attempt to make a deal and not get screwed. #help and thank you.

2024.05.20 05:46 MammothCustard9350 Monitor refresh rate issue

so, i recently bought a new monitor in-store, the acer SA 271 E, i tried to set its refresh rate to 100Hz as the physical box it came in said it was, but i cant go past 60 in display settings. i cant find jack about this monitor online, not even scanning the boxes QR code sends me to the exact model, all i could fins are similar models at 75Hz. now the weird part is when i booted up CoD, i changed my refresh rate in game to 100, which it let me do (you cant set it past your monitors built in refresh rate, i confirmed that).
i went into the actual monitor settings using the physical buttons and even on there it says its locked to 60. since i cant find anything on my exact model, i have no clue on how to fix this.
i can provide screenshots if needed, mostly im just wondering why a acer monitor from walmart would false advertise if there really is not way to change it.

2024.05.20 05:34 catfarmer1998 My parents are overprotective of me but I’m 25.

How do I deal with overprotective parents but I’m 25?
Hi. I am an individual with multiple disabilities/health conditions (anxiety adhd and possible autism) and I’m 25. I was wondering how you go about dating if you rely on your parents for transportation. Unfortunately I have a condition that causes limited depth perception so I am not sure driving is the best option for me and I’m also afraid to learn even though my doctors say it wouldn’t hurt to learn. I also have t1 diabetes. Unfortunately I live in a rural area with limited transportation options too. Given that I am My mother’s only child she is very overprotective of me (and the few friends I have always comment this). However, she does talk about me moving out but I’m almost certain she wouldn’t let that happen because she’s over protective even though we fight all the time. I should also clarify that I love my mother and she can be my friend but she’s also very overprotective.
Case in point: I needed to get somewhere the other night and neither my parents (my father seems to think my mom is the only one who needs to drive me around sometimes) could take me, and I put it out on fb (just my friends list) that I needed a ride but my mom saw it and said I’m not letting you get in car with someone I don’t know. I mean I wouldn’t have gotten a ride from a murderer…but she yelled at me and made me take it down. Thankfully I did get a text from a family member that they could take me where I needed to go. But that incident made me think what if I met a guy on a dating site and we clicked but I needed a ride to get there and my mom said no. I mean dating is part of how I would move out, but I’m not sure my mother understands that online dating is how the majority of people meet these days. I don’t feel like my mom is abusing me or necessarily being mean but she’s just way over protective. I do plan to bring this up with my therapist as well. Does anyone have any ideas?
