Tôi không biết tôi có thể làm được gì, nhưng tôi muốn thấy điều đang xảy ra nên tôi nhảy lên ngựa phóng đi. Tôi mang theo khẩu súng trường, một khẩu Winchester .44 quá nhỏ không thể dùng để bắn voi, nhưng tôi nghĩ tiếng súng có thể doạ cho nó sợ. Nhiều người Miến chặn tôi lại trên đường đi và kể cho tôi nghe những hành động của con voi. Tất nhiên đây không phải là một con voi hoang dã mà là voi đã thuần hoá, bỗng lên cơn hung dữ. Trước nay nó vẫn bị xích, như tất cả những con voi thuần hoá khi lên “cơn hung”, nhưng đêm qua nó đã giật đứt xích và trốn thoát. Viên quản tượng, người duy nhất có thể xử lý được nó khi nó lên cơn như thế này, đã lao đi đuổi theo nó, nhưng lại lạc đi hướng khác và lúc này đã qua mười hai giờ, và buổi sáng con voi bỗng nhiên xuất hiện trong thành phố. Dân cư Miến không có vũ khí và hoàn toàn không biết bấu víu vào đâu trước con voi dữ. Nó đã húc đổ một số lều tre, giết chết một con bò, đột kích một quầy rau quả và ăn ngấu nghiến trái cây trong đó, nó cũng đã gặp chiếc xe đổ rác thành phố và khi người tài xế nhảy ra và chạy bán sống bán chết, nó đã lật đổ chiếc xe rồi cứ thế nện lên đó một cách dữ tợn.
Viên phó cảnh sát người Miến và một số nhân viên cảnh sát đang đợi tôi ở khu vực đó – nơi họ thấy con voi. Một số người nói con voi đi hướng này, một số khác bảo nó đi hướng kia, một số thậm chí thú nhận còn chưa nghe nói gì về con voi nào cả. Đối với họ chuyện này khá vui, như nó có thể đối với một đám đông người Anh; ngoài ra họ muốn lấy thịt. Điều này làm tôi cảm thấy hơi khó chịu. Tôi dừng lại trên đường. Ngay khi nhìn thấy con voi tôi hoàn toàn biết chắc rằng tôi không nên bắn nó. Việc bắn một con voi gia súc là một điều nghiêm trọng, nó tương tự như phá huỷ một cỗ máy khổng lồ và đắt tiền – và rõ ràng người ta không nên làm nếu có thể tránh được. Và ở khoảng cách đó, đang ăn một cách hiền lành, con voi trông không có gì nguy hiểm hơn một con bò. R3 Spoilers because DUH
Round 2 just ended (we all became goll and cried buckets of tears …) Regardless despite losing two in a row, humanity stands tall, Why? Adam, the first man laid down his life to (get the milk) to save his children because while they aren’t perfect, great destruction isn’t exactly necessary. Then we cut to Goll crying (Shut up, Ragnarok is stressful OK? Imagine if 13-year-old you were Goll, how would you do?) and Hrist’s intro. We then receive a few select words that are stunning; The third-round fighter is Poseidon, the god of gods, Zeus Enalios. Who does Brunhilde consider? Qin Shi Huang, Leonidas(Jury's still out on if he’d win), and Nostradamus. But who fights him? Someone whom she never expects, Sasaki Kojiro.(Old man anime trope inserted here) Immediately Goll questions Kojiro about his age, since the golden age, which he should be in the prime of his life. Brunhilde knocks over a pitcher of milk which he then catches and drinks in one move according to Brunhilde, who is in the room where it happened. Damn, this essay is really about milk somehow, well that’s going to change because let's get into what makes the characters so unique.

Sorry, about that the god that should have taken Shiva’s spot as a chief god, and the god of gods(God2?) needs no introduction. (Sorry to the Shiva and Sasaki fans he held me at Trident Point and forced me to introduce him first and the Shiva thing too)Poseidon is Honor cranked up to eleven. He showcases the Honor of being such divinity, hell his intro isn’t even about him it’s about the idea that gods give others harsh trials to be worthy of their attention. ( he doesn’t fuck around like Zeus. Mythological inaccuracy….Stab noise…Scream of pain )Sorry, I have to go to Nifelhel for some milk. 

Regardless his first words are insults, also Odin’s crows shat on his shoulders when Poseidon emerged from the sea. The reason he insults humans is threefold, He tests them Since they didn’t bow to him. However, he does like that they are afraid of him He thinks the humans should just roll over and die to save the gods, important beings the trouble So why is Poseidon honor and not pride? Well, first Zeus is pride in a nutshell…and secondly, he assumes that he will be honored beyond all else. As he enters, all the gods grow silent, and scarcely speak, a sign of respect since he’s just that terrifying. He showcases Honor to the nth degree only to himself. He assumes he will be honored, feared, and respected. His ideas are what a god should be… alone, yet feared beyond all else.
In contrast, the man who fights him is described as history’s greatest loser, Sasaki Kojiro. A man whose intro isn’t about how he strikes fear but who has cultivated the sword the best. His intro then confuses, why should a loser try to win? Why is an old man in his fighting prime? Yet, I’d argue that Sasaki is dignified, He gives respect to those who deserve it and accepts losses humbly. Hell, he bows to Poseidon despite the battle deciding the fate of humanity. He knows what a journey looks like, not just starting at the peak but climbing the mountain to see the view. In some ways, Lu Bu and Sasaki are opposites yet have striking similarities. Both yearn for the top and are looking for ways to grow, however, Lu Bu is born with unparalleled strength and Sasaki works for it. One had strength all his life and the other worked hard to gain it. One is interested in raw strength while the other is all about technique. One stood lonely at the peak (I know Chen Gong is here) and the other walked the lonely road, not recognized by his fellow masters. Yet did he turn sour with revenge and anger? No, he didn’t. He made his own path to the top, without anyone helping or teaching him. Sasaki finds another mountain where Lu Bu is stuck, he was never the strongest on earth so he trains relentlessly in death, advancing beyond what he was known for in life. When we get introduced to his fellow sword masters they all, minus Musashi(including his son), begin to wonder why Sasaki was chosen when Musashi won their duel. The evidence is shown in a few panels where their doubt turns to awe as Sasaki draws his sword and the waves stop. It’s so strong that all of the sword masters begin crying and with no other evidence Musashi destroys the sacred texts his son holds because he recognizes that Sasaki has surpassed even him.

Yet, Disrespect was a huge part of round three as it was always present in both characters. Poseidion’s on a very surface level, but is shown throughout the entirety of the fight is only reaffirmed to be his way of thinking. He insults both gods and humans, calling them bottom feeders, filthy and disgusting. Poseidon unlike his brother Zeus doesn't respect strength, rather refusing to acknowledge when he is weaker than his opponent. This ultimately leads Poseidon to his demise. You wonder why Zeus was the only Greek character to live in the first half or Ragnorok? (Hades included) this wasn’t because of more power than Adam, not even pure chance favored the GCOF, but rather his ability to cope… I mean change. Before all 3 million Hades fans kill me, he changed far too late. He recognized little differences between gods and humans, and he realized that Zeus was wrong. Zeus was shattered after round two, the best of the gods only won by pure luck, and was forced to admit that humanity could surpass the gods in ways the gods couldn’t fathom human imagination and evolution. So round three was crucial, but in a way, Poseidon was even more stubborn than Zeus and even more change-resistant. In a way this is Zeus saying that what happened to him is a fluke and that the gods have no reason to change… they should still be respected, cherished, and most importantly feared. Sasaki proves Zeus wrong. He takes the disrespect from his opponent and turns it into motivation. He goes from an old man who mastered the blade to being able to kill the tyrant of the ocean. Sasaki too disrespects Poseidon, however, it is only ever in reaction to what Poseidon does. Sasaki sits because Poseidon refuses to move, but it’s no arrogance, just humility in Sasaki. Sasaki turns his back on his opponent, he thinks of surrendering and yet persevered. 

A god has fallen to humanity… and all the gods can do is be silent… their honor lay shattered in the wind… for the impossible has been done… a god dead at a mortal’s hand.
Instead of seeking revenge, Zeus admits that humans are strong. The lasting impact of this reverberates across the fights as a whole. After the honor of the gods shatters can they interact in the truest way of battle with humans, and their ideals. Before R3 this is only seen in R1; Thor isn't demanding to be honored or feared, he just wants a rival. Afterward, the gods connect with humans on a much more personal level.

So I'd only consider myself a moderate Avatar fan.
