I just tried out the new 4k blu ray of the movie, and the audio track skips twice during the final duel. Even worst: it skips at the exact same time on the blu ray of the same release... I should note that my player is a Panasonic UB820 and it never usually skips, and when it does, it's always the blu ray that is at fault (does the same with Nope, bought 2 copies of the French release and it skips at the exact same time on both).
Also as a sidenote, I'm very disappointed with how the 4k looks. All the grain is gone, and it's a disservice to the film. The blu ray actually looks better than the 4k, it's ridiculous.

Currently I have an LG A2 TV connected to an Apple TV through the e-arc on the LG. I'd like to connect the e-arc to my Denon receiver and switch input between the Apple TV, Blu Ray player and Nintendo switch. SDS has convinced me that The Show 10 is easily a game worth checking out (I'm sure 11 too assuming it carries over most of the features). MVP Baseball 05 as well, and I have a Gamecube to play it on, but 10 gets additional nostalgia points for using the rosters that I grew up watching as a kid. However, I was an Xbox 360 user, and still have the console to this day. I actually faced this decision back in 2014 as well. 2k13 was decent, especially as a kid, but if I was going to keep playing baseball video games, I'd have to get a PS4, so I did. It worked out in the end as I was able to play great exclusive games such as Persona 5, Final Fantasy 7 Remastered, Project Diva, and it serves as a Blu Ray player. Going back to the PS3 would provide The Show in its prime, but I'd need a lot more games to justify having it alongside my Xbox and Wii.
And yes, I'm aware about the PSP releases, but it heavily neuters Franchise mode, turning it into a single season mode.

I'm a mostly casual player, and the last time I played a decent amount of ladder was 5 years ago, when I was low dia as macro Toss and all-in Zerg+Random (sorry).
Anyway, I always thought of Bronze as this chill no-rules elo, where 50 APM boomer Terrans built aesthetically pleasing turret formations, Tosses played a MOBA with the Void Ray, and where max-outs and 4th bases were not a thing until 20+ minutes.
However, recently something happened that completely destroyed this perception.
I got back to clear the campaign on brutal and figured out, hey, why not play some fair macro Terran on ladder, since I never really did it. So I did a couple dozen practice games vs elite bot, felt like I got decent macro with ok timing for 3base 8-2-1, comfortably beat it each time. Time to go ranked, guess I'll get low gold at least.
Safe to say, I got absolutely blasted. And every enemy was bronze! What got me was how competent they seemed. For example, my third placement match was vs a bronze Zerg who calmly endured through multi-prong lib harass and tank drops, spread creep all the way to my base and then knocked on my door at about 12 minutes with a maxed out late game army, complete with Vipers to pull my tanks! Not saying he was Serral or whatever, but I was absolutely not expecting this from Bronze.
I thought this might just be a placement game thing, but no, it kept going on after I was placed into Bronze 2. Enemies consistently have saturated bases and competent army compositions. Zergs spread creep like crazy and do on-point bane surrounds.
Eventually I said, fuck it, I'll take the degenerate way just to get my account to silver, and do filthy 1-base all-ins. Multiprong Tank-Marine doomdrops, proxy marauders, just get me the win. Used to work vs dia players as random, and these guys are bronze, how well could they handle such aggression right?
This is where my mind was blown because the defenses were on fucking point! I show up with my gang of Marauders at ~2:50 at the bronze P's natural and he calmly cancels expo, snipes bunker-building scv, drops batteries at his main, pumps out stalkers and rushes out stargate->voidray in the back. I don't think I'd be able to think of the correct response that quickly. Remember this is Bronze!
Another game, I rush out a fast cyclone flood vs bronze Z, his overlord spots me as 4 of them are already racing across. I get greeted to a proper wall-off with spines, evo chambers, queens transfusing, transition into a fuckton of roaches. Barely got him in the end after some sweaty micro, but damn, I don't remember the game being this hard.
Just to clarify, I'm not remotely a good player, I just got shocked by the standard of play at the lowest skill bracket. I thought I'd deteriorate to like high Gold not mid-Bronze. Was it always like this or did people get better over the years? (Or is Toss that easier than Terran lol)

Sorry Sony guys I know most of you don't care. I just wanted to put my opinion somewhere in a hope that Sony or some one who does care may see it.
I've been waiting for months for the brand new release of the Sony Xperia 1 VI, super excited about it for a very long time and I only missed out on buying the 1 V at launch because id recently bought a Samsung Flip 4.
After watching many videos, comparisons and spec sheets. I just can't justify £1300 on a HD screen phone, QHD or QHD+ would have been okay. But it's literally half the resolution as the 1 V and you get nothing from losing the 21:9 screen. I got the 1 V for £800 Brand new sealed, so nearly half the price of the 1 VI.
But I can't complain I'm very happy with my new Sony 1 V purchase!
EDIT: I understand the screen isn't always 4K but id rather have it for when I can watch my BluRays in full 4K with no black bars with 21:9 rather be stuck at 1080 all the time.

Hi! I am using an old but good (IMO) Samsung HT-TQ120. I recently got more into audio, as I have a decent Oled and a 4k HDR ray player, I noticed that not all titles gave me 5.1 but 2.0, yet with Pro Logic II on Matrix mode, I still prefer my old system over soundbars that friends, parents etc use. I know that I am missing out on atmos, dts x etc, but I tested some soundbars and it didn't seem noticeably better.
So I figured if I wanted to "upgrade", I'd want a proper home theatre system, and those don't seem to be sold in a package for the average retail customer such as Samsung and Sony did in the past. Does anyone have suggestions, before I just blind buy, id hate to see that a new system doesn't support dv, atmos, dts x etc. What would be an "upgrade"? Because there are soundbars that cost as much as this system did back in 2007 that does not feel like and upgrade to me
