So, I have the dubious honor of having owned both the Luba 2 5000 and the Husqvarna 450X EPOS at the same time for the same yard. I also have the Husqvarna 315X wired version as well. But in this post I want to provide a comprehensive comparison between the Husq 450X EPOS and the Luba 2 5000. There are already tons of vendor marketing materials, YouTubers with their reviews, etc. My goal is to provide a real comprehensive review, with no fanboyism, no hidden agenda, just as a homeowner who wants something that works reliably and that lasts.
In this post my goal is also to provide new information that I was not able to find anywhere when I was comparing these two prior to purchase, if you have any questions that you want answered that I did not cover here just let me know.
MY YARD
My yard is a pretty simple Florida rectangular acre with about 5 big oak trees and plenty more overhanging my yard from my neighbors' yards. I have about 1/2 acre in the back and about 0.30 acres in the front. I use the Husq 315X to mow the front and decided to buy a wireless version to mow the back. I also have a thin strip outside of the front fence that I mow on occasion after opening the gates and fences.
LUBA2 5000 vs HUSQ 450X EPOS
Below I have arranged my findings by categories, with the most surprising being first.

• RTK / Wireless Performance (Winner - Luba) - This was without a doubt the biggest surprise for me. I thought I had a simple yard after setting up the Luba. I put the RTK antenna in the attic, set up the base station, mapped out the yard and was done. The Husq EPOS on the other hand performed 10x worse than the Luba. Same house, same attic, but the EPOS system would not lock onto the satellites. After an hour of fiddling, I moved the RTK antenna out of the attic and mounted it on a pole in my yard. The performance is still terrible, while mapping out my back yard even within 50' of the RTK station, the signal only shows 73%, and I spent hours having to drive the Husq 450X to the middle of the yard to get a signal then rushing back to the last waypoint to try to finish mapping. It took about 4hrs to map 0.5 acres. That was just the beginning of my problems though. It now likes to sit for up to an hour in one spot for some reason even though the app says it has a good EPOS signal. No idea if this is a hardware problem or a software problem but hopefully it can be fixed via software update. If this keeps up, I may have to set more no go areas and mow those areas with my lawn mower.....not a good thing.
• RTK App Feeback (Winner Luba) - The Luba 2 is great about showing you all of the satellite information; co-viewing, RTK satellites, and Luba 2 satellites. The 450X is the opposite, all you get to see is if EPOS is working or not with no way to troubleshoot it except to keep driving the mower around until it is fixed.
• Hardware Build Quality (Winner Luba) - The Luba 2 feels much sturdier and better built than the 450X. Also, the Luba 2 includes an RTK mounting pole whereas the 450X does not. The 450X EPOS is an older design and it does not appear that Husqvarna updated anything other than add an RTK module to their existing product line while doubling the price.
• App Useability (Winner - 450X) - The Husq mower app while not perfect is much better than the Lubas. Mapping is more intuitive; I like the way they used waypoints which is more accurate and more familiar than driving the mower from place to place without clearly defining points. The mowing pattern selection is much more intuitive as well and adding a mowing angle to a work area is perfectly done by simply dragging two dots until the line overlay matches the look you want. I do like Luba's way of showing the amount of work remaining/completed via shaded areas vs the eyesore redlines that Husqvarna uses. As previously mentioned though, the biggest shortcoming is that you can't do any satellite troubleshooting in the Husq app. With the Husq app you can also pause mapping and pick back up where you left off, you can save multiple mowing profiles (i.e. winter vs summer), and you can pause any mowing task, go do something else, then restart the mowing task instead of fiddling with percentages like in the Luba 2's app.
• Lawn Damage - (Winner - 450X) - The Husq 450X EPOS hands down causes less lawn damage than the Luba. No more crop circles, no damage in front of the charging station, it is a real joy to watch it turn on a dime with no endless grinding itself into the dirt. The Luba 2 got stuck all the time at the ends of rows, bases of trees, etc. as it tried to turn around in the soft dirt. It also killed untold numbers of seedlings which I will probably need to overseed.
• Mowing Speed - (Winner - 450X) - The Luba 2 has multiple mowing speeds that you can pick but if you are like me, you have no idea what is too fast or what is slower than necessary. The Husq has no mowing speed options but if you watch it, it automatically slows down on thicker patches of grass and speeds up on recently mowed patches. This not only gets the yard done faster while extending the battery life, it also makes the setup simpler.
• Mowing Height - (Winner - 450X) - The Luba 2 lets you set the height and so does the 450X, the nice thing about the Luba is that it gives you the exact height in inches (or cm) vs the 450X where you have to do you own math to figure out what 1 or 2 or 3 mean in inches or cm. The reason why the 450X still wins for me though is because it is much faster at adjusting the height when it needs to. The Luba 2 bogged down a lot and ground itself into the ground when the blade was too low for the terrain. The 450X seems to adjust its blades in real time and never seems to stop and get stuck on bumps even with the blade set at 1".
• Connectivity - (Winner 450X) - The Husq 450X EPOS includes 10yrs of LTE data and also includes Bluetooth connectivity. The Luba 2 relies on wireless and Bluetooth and if you want LTE you have to buy your own SIM and data plan. Many times the Luba 2 would grind itself into the ground then just turn off. I would then need to go hunt for it in the yard, turn it on, connect via Bluetooth, move it out of the hole it had dug, then wait for it to get a satellite fix before I could get it to do anything. The 450X with LTE is always accessible until the battery dies. With the improvements in connectivity, the anti-theft features are also much better.
• Audible Beeps (Winner 450X) - This was a big problem for me with the Luba 2. It beeps all the time (when its adjusting the cutting height, returning to the charging station, searching for a satellite signal, starting a mowing job, on the charging station, leaving the charging station, etc, etc.). The charging station is right outside of my bedroom window so I had to start running it in the daytime just to keep from being woken up. The 450X EPOS does not do any of that, it shows everything via the app and the status LED on the top, no endless beeps.
• Perimeter Mowing Logic (Winner 450X) - I never understood why the Luba 2 put so much emphasis on perimeter laps, to me it's just the first row to be mowed, apparently the 450X EOPS thinks so too and treats it as such. The perimeter was being badly chewed up by the Luba 2 since it is the least level areas of my yard, the 450X EPOS just mows it without fuss and no digging in and getting stuck at the base of my fences.
• Battery Replacement (Winner 450X) - the 450X EPOS battery can be replaced in about 10min and they are readily available from a dealer, eBay, and others. The Luba 2's battery replacement story is still very murky to me.
• Blade Performance (Winner 450X EPOS) - The Husq automowers spin both clockwise and counterclockwise after every recharge, this means that you do not have to flip the razors over every xx number of hours. The Luba 2 does not have this feature.

OVERALL WINNER (TIE)
Right now both the Luba 2 and the Husq 450X EPOS have a fatal flaw; the Luba 2 badly chews up my yard, and the 450X EPOS can't seem to find its RTK/Satellite Signals. At this point in time I do not know if the Luba's or 450X EPOS's problems are just software or a fundamental hardware problem. Mammotion is addressing their hardware design with the release of the Yuka, I can only hope the RTK problem with the 450X EPOS can be fixed via a firmware update.
I know the 450X EPOS won a lot of categories for me, but if it sits around in my yard all day searching for a signal then none of the rest of its features matter. RTK is so important to the fundamental operation of a wireless RTK robot that it supersedes all else in my book.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Luba 2 - I would recommend the Luba 2 if any of the below are true:

• Hilly yard - obviously the Luba 2 is the better of the two with its AWD
• Mature grass/hard ground - if you have a mature yard with hard clay or dirt that can handle the Luba 2's grinding donut turns then I would recommend the Luba 2
• Cost - If cost is your only concern then obviously the Luba 2 is a no brainer
• Trees / Obstructions - If your yard has even a few big trees or big obstructions, at least for now, the Luba 2 will far outperform the 450X EPOS when it comes to RTK performance

450X EPOS - I would recommend the Husq 450X EPOS if ALL of the below are true:

• You have a perfectly wide open yard with no trees or other obstructions
• You have a yard with new turf or soft dirt/sand
• Your yard is relatively flat

Wired Solutions - My front yard Husq 315X wire guided mower is great, problem free, and still uses a wire. I used a trenching machine, bought heavy duty 14 gauge wire, and buried it around 8" deep. In my opinion, if you can deal with installing the wire, not being able to change things later, and risk the wire breaks, wired is still the most reliable way to go. I think wireless mowers are very close to being mature, but something needs to come along to reduce the problems with satellite reception, RTK placement, and blockage from buildings and trees. We don't all have that perfect wide open yard with no trees or buildings.

I make 48k a year so I get some of the premium subsidized (about 265/month I believe). I live with my fiancée who makes a similar amount in a relatively high cost of living area (CT, 06359), and we don’t live paycheck to paycheck but don’t have much to spare. We also spent approx 2019-2023 living paycheck to paycheck and have loads of debt because of it.
I’m 27, generally healthy, BUT I haven’t had health insurance for over a year so definitely need to get some thorough checkups. I also am on two different meds for mental health but want to change them and will need to see a psychiatrist to work that out. I suspect I’ll end up on a different medication that could be quite expensive out of pocket bc of shortages of the generic. I also will need to see some specialists for musculoskeletal issues and whatnot.
(As a side note, I also need to get dental insurance that will cover some amount of basic restoration because I know I have cavities, so my general health care budget will be tight because of that too).
I have a few options that are all around 150-300 a month. Deductibles vary from 1500 to 7000.
Considering it’s already May, and my health situations described above, am I better off paying like $150/month with a 6500-7000 ish deductible or going for the 200+ premium to have a deductible more around 2000?

I purchased a vehicle last month from Govdeals.com. It is the 2017 Nisan Pathfinder with 38900 miles. After the SUV was delivered engine light came on. I did write the seller about it. Since then I have tried to get a Texas state inspection three times but it failed. I took the SUV to a Nissan dealership for repair. What they discover is shocking. The engine seems to have over 100000 miles because it is in bad condition. You sold me this SUV having only 38880 miles. I was willing to spend $1000 but the cost of repair is over $7000. I took the SUV to another reputable shop in my area and they agreed that it needed a timing chain and other parts. Well, the seller and the auction house will not refund or let me return the SUV. I am willing to pay $500 for transportation. Like a used car deals they gave me “Sold as it is” excuse. I did contacted govdeals.com and they told me to contact the seller first. The seller advertises this SUV with low mileage, repos from the bank, runs like new SUV. IN FACT, ALL HIS INVESTORIES ARE REPOED BY BANKS OR CREDIT UNION. Hello, I am 22F and I’m about to start applying for new apartment with my boyfriend 25m Here’s my situation
I make: 61,740 (due to my recent raise, I use to make 54,090)
My credit score just dropped again to: 486 My boyfriends credit is in the 600
The only reason my score is this low is due to me not paying my credit cards down and I had a $242 collection from an apartment which is paid in full now but doesn’t do much for my credit.
I have two capital one credit cards total is: 1,399.05 My other credit cards are at: 1st one: :169.09 - paying this off next week 2nd one: 659.34
Total in credit card debt is: 2,227.48 (I will be able to pay $900 dollars off next week) I also have $1,500 in student loans And $3,422 in auto loans
Capital one restricted my account and on credit karma reported it as closed account which also lowered my credit. I haven’t gotten in touch with capital one to see what we can do.
I worried I will be denied for a new apartment due to my score being low and having technical “2 closed accounts” I can pay all my credit card off by next month but the only reason I can’t do that is because next month savings are going towards the new apartment we get. I have to be out of my current apartment by July 14th.
The reason for us moving is due to my drive to work being a 37-50 minute drive and it’s too much. We plan on living 15 minutes away from my job. I just don’t know what I should do. I was thinking about getting a loan to pay all the debt and just pay month on that but I don’t know if it will boost my credit? Also my boyfriend makes 2400 in monthly dues and this will be his first time renting even tho his credit is 600 I don’t know how much it will help the approval odds. This is my first time renting with someone else and actually putting their name on an application/lease. I need some sort of advice. I don’t know maybe I’m being a little dramatic but this whole thing gives me anxiety.

I have all these cards currently. Fortunately, I've been able to rebuild my credit. Unfortunately, the fees for all those are nuts.
Do the platinum cards give different benefits or do they over lep? Eg do I get two companion tickets or is it per family?
Has anyone ever negotiated renewal fees with them?
Any advice?

I have a 5k limit USBAR card, which I maxed out and made a premature payment of the full 5k to use again. The available credit still says $0.00, but the payment is under the “completed” section of the transaction history. Oddly enough, I’m still using the card with no issue. It all seems normal except for the fact that the available credit says 0. When can I expect the app to update this?

So, I've been getting into watercolor painting in the past few months, starting with a set of cheap paint I got from Joanns with a gift card, figuring if I blew through them, I could move on to the nice paints (I purchased a set of Cotman student tube paints on Ebay for ~$22 bucks, supplemented with a couple extra colors).
After trying to follow technique/tutorials on youtube, I was driving myself crazy. The only time I could get anything CLOSE to what they were painting was using paint straight out of the tube, which I knew wasn't what most painters did. When trying to rewet my paints I could NEVER get a strong hue, only a very thin wash, often with chunks in it still, and attempting to wait more time before painting after re-wetting often just resulted in the water rolling off the paint.
Well, I also added a cheap set of gouache from Amazon into my stash (I'd like to combine them), and when I was doing color swatches, it hit me. Turns out, the Amazon gouache is much higher quality than the watercolor I had- I could do my swatches with the tiny bit of paint on the tube points I used to punch open the foil!
So, on a sudden hunch, I filled a tiny bit of each of my palatte wells from the Cotman paints I had set aside, and let them dry only to come back and try again.
Night and day. It was so much easier I kind of want to cry.
So while it's best not to spend a bundle on paints when you're brand new, it's also best not to start with the cheapest option available!

I have knowledge in business consulting, and I promise you that a business owner would be a MUCH more lucrative mark than a low-income college student.
• I wouldn’t choose such a time & energy-draining method of scamming people. Also, communicating back and forth with potential clients is an absurdly long time sink since only less than 10% of all potential clients who reach out to me actually become paying clients of mine. This means that 90% of my time communicating with potential clients ultimately proves to be a colossal waste of my irretrievable time & energy.

If I purchased my tickets with my Delta Amex Gold card, will I be able to get access to Sky Club if I get a Delat Reserve Amex card between now and when I’m booked to fly? I saw some wording to the effect that the Reserve card needs to be used for the tickets to get access to Centurian lounges, but it doesn’t appear to be a requirement for Sky Club. I just want to fully understand what the rules are before accepting the new card.

So I’m an 18 year old male. I used to have a 2008 Subaru WRX and I loved it so much named it Sylphy would drive around in it when I was stressed or lonely I would never do anything stupid I only ever just kinda cruised around. The power the car had made it easy to accelerate and the turbo blowoff sound was euphoric.
I had been taking college classes and didn’t have much money at the time since I bought the car at the start of the school year. Then on the day of my final exam I get done with the test and on my way to my friends house to give him his calculator I got T-Boned.
I was at a stop sign in an area I’d never been in and someone to the right who had the right of way stopped and let the person ahead of me go then they went. So my brain went there are four stop signs here. Which there were just not facing all four directions.
So then I started crossing and saw someone barrel towards and they hit the back of my car sending me spinning off the road. So the accident was my fault. But in my head even after I had been hit. I thought why the hell did they run that stop sign. I don’t know if it was my ADD (Now know as inactive-ADHD) or what because I really did see the intersection as a four way stop. But I’m not going to use my disability as an excuse though.
Anyways the insurance didn’t cover it because the insurance is in my parents names. Mine wasn’t on there. The car took me three years to save up for working tirelessly day after day after day. Now Sylphy is gone. I also have like $1000 so it is going to take me all summer if I get full time at work to buy another WRX.
But I really am just tired and exhausted. Calculus and other college classes just drained everything out of me. My car was probably the only thing that kept me going because of how enjoyable it was and I had so many plans to mod it for reliability and maybe get a nice exhaust. Now all that is down the drain.
I feel really distraught. I’ve cried five times in the past two weeks since it happened. Sylphy meant so much to me and now that she has just been ripped away from me. Not only that I failed the class because of the final as well so maybe I just shouldn’t have gone to college that day I don’t know. I also have one highschool class that I just stopped doing work for after the accident because I’m just sick of always working.
But everything I do now just doesn’t feel like it’s really worth it anymore. Like I wake up and just want to lay in bed all day. I don’t work out anymore. And I’m not happy about my job anymore. I just feel like shutting down and letting everything play out. There is nothing I wouldn’t do just to have my car back. Because after I lost it I realized that it was the only thing making me get up every day.

Based in Northern Ireland. Early in our relationship I solely purchased a house we both live in. I earnt considerably more and she had terrible credit so it made sense. At the time she signed something waiving an interest in the property (?). Honestly it didn't seem a big deal we always planned to jointly buy something else down the line. Fast forward to now I've been diagnosed with a critical illness and although I'm not expecting the worst to happen I want to make sure that she is looked after if it does. I do have life cover with critical illness cover so the money would be there to pay off the mortgage completely, either with the critical illness payment or the life insurance payout. We're unmarried if that makes a difference. Is my best option just get the mortgage paid off asap? Or are there other options? My concern with paying it off early is I'll get fleeced by early repayment fees.

I am 25F and have my last semester of college this upcoming Fall.
I had experienced a lot of personal issues throughout college which is why it’s taken me so long to finish. However, since I’ve maxed out my in state tuition credit limit, I now have a surcharge on my tuition, about $273 extra per credit, which nearly doubles my tuition. This past Spring, my parents paid for about half of my tuition, and I paid the rest off with grants and a federal subsidized loans ($5,500).
I was able to apply for FAFSA as an independent. I also received about $7k in unsubsidized loans to cover my 2 courses this summer (which my parents also don’t know about). Then I have about 10 credits left in the Fall, which I will probably pay part of with a loan as well. I just didn’t want my parents to know about the surcharge, hence I made it seem as if I was taking less credits than I actually was. My dad hasn’t noticed this at all since when he goes in to pay for my bill, it just shows him the total amount left due.
He could look at my full bill and see that I paid with a loan if he wanted to but he hasn’t done that yet.
As of now, with the the $5.5K loans and $7k loan, I have about 12.5K I owe after school ends, not including how much I may have to spend for the Fall semester. I am starting to get a bit worried about if my parents will somehow find out that I’ve taken out loans thru tax return or the IRS or anything. I know it shows up on my credit report but my dad hasn’t looked at mine and doesn’t have any reason to suspect anything.
I know this is stupid but I would like to get some more insight here. I don’t foresee having trouble paying it off (ideally while I’m still in school or the first few months after I graduate) but I’m worried that once my dad files taxes for the 2024 year, he may have to see that my money is going towards loans or that something might show up on my tax return.
And yes I can file my own taxes, that’s not an issue but I’m sure my dad would want to do it with me just to make sure.
