Hey, friends! My wife and I are coming to Japan soon, and we both really love baseball and plan to catch as many games as we’re able to while hanging out with you. I have some questions I haven’t been able to find answers to, though:
1) we both like to keep score on score cards during games. Is that common in Japan? Do you know if score cards are for sale at ball parks, or should we bring our book? I saw a different post in this sub suggesting it’s a different format; is it wildly different and I can adapt or am I going to be pretty lost?
2) This is more for the Seibu Lions fans: we’re from Wisconsin, so we love the Brewers and therefor Jesus Aguilar. I don’t really see much about him online, though. Is he playing much? Doing ok? Y’all taking care of my boy? More specifically, is it worth packing my Brewers Aguilar jersey to wear at a game or will he likely not be playing?

Hello, I fairly recently started playing FO76 again and am level 47. All my perk cards and SPECIAL points have been focused on a pistol focused build. The more I play/read on weapons in this game, it seems like I should how gone with rifles. I really liked the idea of using pistols, but I really see no one else using them and am starting to get worried. Are they viable at all? Should I switch to rifles? And if so, are all those built up Pistol perk cards wasted (I’m aware SPECIAL can be changed)? Thanks for any advice, I’m happy to be back! 👍

2024.06.01 12:42 UKMonkey999 Barclays rejecting credit card application based on address
I’ve recently been trying to check my eligibility for the Avios Plus Card via Barclays and have been repeatedly getting rejected. I’ve been unsure why as salary in context of ~200k, and no dependants and no bad credit history on file (CRAs scores are maxed). I’ve therefore been plugging in different scenarios to see what may work, namely the address I’m at as this is the only floating variable I can truthfully change. Keeping the same tenor at address (which is 1 year, 1 month) in tbh a bit of a deprived area of NW London near Wembley for the living category of ‘other’ (as living with partner who owns) I get the answer ‘you’re not eligible’ whereas if I change address to my parents living in the South-West countryside I get eligible. Therefore the conclusion being the Barclays algorithm is rejecting me purely based on address… despite high earnings and a good credit file. It would be hard to change my address to my parents since all my cards are not issued there currently, so I guess I’ll just either apply and appeal the rejection or not make a fuss and leave… as only wanted for Avios bonus points anyway
Not sure if anyone has come across this and whether the CC companies use address as a key differentiator.. and discriminator ??

Hi there! First post on reddit so please forgive me if i'm not using any fancy text.
I've been DM'ing now on and off for around near 5 years, originally I ran for 2 separate friend groups with Vastly different likes and dislikes. I had to stop one groups campaign due to work schedules and as the such (gotta love adult life ;-;)
So recently my current group consists of close friends so it is quite easy to get things across but it can also be very easy to lose control of the table if we start having jokes and a good laugh.
the above is not the issues I'm having as the DM however the stuff above i'm fine with as long as we are hanging out and having a good time. My issues span from multiple small issues which I will list below Beginning with myself as I know I make plenty of mistakes as I DM but I'm looking for advice to make sure i'm not going crazy and being a C**T with some of my table rules i've implemented
My Issues I need to work on: Note Taking - I lose track of my notes (this has been getting better moved to an app called obsidian which I have stuck with and this seems to be working wonders for me) but still needs work.
World lore - Kinda a addition to the note taking issue I have, I like to chop change some things but I still want it to make canonical sense to the worlds timeline which can be a little messy at times.
Pacing - Oh god I'm awful for pacing sometimes I'm too fast or i'm far too slow my players spend an entire 7 hour session on 1 street corner being my worst example.
Sometimes Retconning Small things - I Don't know if I think its okay to do this, I've only had to do it twice in total I Hate retconning stuff as I feel like if maybe a player that doesn't shine to often finally gets out their shell i'm worried if I retcon something It can really take away from that players motivation.
So above are my issues for sakes of time I'm going to copy paste a recent paragraph I sent to my players parts like player names will be edited of course. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So shappening dudes and dudets, DnD is going to be on the back burner for me for a Little bit cause personally feeling burnt out for a couple reasons that I'll get to in a little bit. So first things first the main thing I'm going to an induction day so I'm hoping I get this job (I got the Job whoop whoop) and DnD will be moved to every 2nd Saturday if thats gonna be a issue we can discuss that down the line. Now couple of mini Issues I want to get off my chest. So the Number 3 joke died ages ago for me and its just annoying so stopping that would be nice thank you, anyone that says it going forward you'll just take 3 damage. Unfortunately the interrupting and pacing is horrendous I'm gonna do my best to keep my focus on the game and I ask so do you. For the time being kinda a add on to the previous my max player count I can do is 6 no more, "Player Name" please let "His Partner" know I do not mind if she watches but I can't have her play not until I feel like the pacing is better and no ones shouting over each other. The Cards, They are fun but i'm gonna rejig them to be less annoying and alot less OP, (I'm removing that bag of holding card) personal thing - If I ask something to do with in the game could you please just acknowledge you have seen it, cause I've typed in plane text plenty of times before and it just doesn't get listened to it starts with one person then everyone else follows if you get me and it can make some little instructions that make things easier for me alot harder. As the DM I want a bit more control So one of the major ones that I ask is NO ONE calls "Roll a persuasion to persuade me" or anything along that lines, it is unnecessary and tbh I find it a bit rude. NO Rape or Rolling Cock size. (its just weird and its disgusting you'd think of it tbh)
There are a few more other things that personally bother me but those are the main ones, the minor ones just consist of 1. Don't Make up your own lore of my own creation and then treat it as cannon, I didn't ask and I don't care.

Choose Your Weapon - Choose one for the Remainder of the Session

when someone else draws the card or removed with the "Remove curse Spell"
Improvised weaponry - You feel compelled to use the first random object as your weapon for the session.
Triumphant Adventurer - Roll a D20,
Even Numbers add 3 Platinum to your Inventory.
Odd Numbers Summons a Gold Plated Cocky knight to gloat how rich he is for 1 minute.
Hunters Mark - You Gain the Ability Hunters Mark for the Session it does not Require Concentration.
Contact Other Plane - You ask anything from the DM roll a d100 to discover the outcome.
Hoard Robber - The best robber in all the land has found you and took every bit of coin you have leaving a single fake gold piece.
Dawnbringer Cleric - You can Choose One to use throughout the session
Cure Wounds
Dispel Magic
Gentle Repose
Priest of Ancient lore - A old Dwarf appears in front of you radiating a holy light asking "Would you like to know the lore of this land?"
Boots of Speed - You Gain Extra 15ft Speed for the Session.
Silver Raven - A Unknown Vampires Raven Follows you.
Check for Traps - You becoming Increasingly paranoid of traps for the session the DM at Random will ask you to check for traps at your feet.

Chaos Channeler - A wild magic sorcerer Explodes from the multiverse, he looks excited as he transports himself again creating a Minor wild magic effect.
So this is a pretty large post But I am looking for advice on maybe rules I should consider going forward, how to keep proper control of a party of 6 and just anything I should improve as a DM and anything I can further communicate to my players at the table.

- Don't ask for any more custom items, if I give you something be happy and let it be a surprise. 3."did we level up?" i know its a joke but tone it down before it gets worse.
- If you create a backstory please give me the footnotes of the main points that I can work with, don't give me a lore book about how garfunkle the black white man slain a beast. I won't read it. (Edit - I don't mind if they give me a book to read I do like lore I just mean here that I'd prefer notes of the main points in their characters story)
- I would prefer Game things are sent on discord concerning characters thats a personal thing, I created the discord for me to be organised and have it all in one place so if you please could just send me stuff on that even if its a dnd beyond link I would like it all in one place. I get this is gonna be alot to read but I hope I get my point across. I am the dungeon master and I want to create a game for you guys to enjoy but I have neglected my own joy for the game and have been more lazy with it because of this. I have alot of stuff to fix from last session especially and I'm gonna try to be more focused on the game and create a better experience and all I ask is please listen, pay attention and any question on the world so you can clarify things you may ask me, if there is any issues during the session call for a break if its that major so we may discuss at the table and if its a small issue we discuss it after the session. Hello People! I recently applied for a couple of credit cards (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, BOB) one after the other and unfortunately even after having a 700+ cibil score and close to 800 experian score, all my applications were rejected. Later I came to know from this sub that frequent inquiry hits on cibil affects it negatively. I just have an amazon BNPL account active.
So, please advise me on how should I improve my cibil score in this case. Also, would using the BNPL account would further degrade the cibil or would it improve it.

Trish's durability wasn't up to scratch. You can feel the gem class jump here (is this how the AI felt when I bulldozered my way through pg chapter 6 with Shaemus).
Its not just the reversals coming out the wazoo and your reversal window being minuscule! It's the damage they do when they hit you too! And Rhea is a fucking BEAST!
So, I never really tried Zoey out (why would you when you got Trish and Iyo) and this looked like the best one Badge wise! Second highest rated female card in that pack.
A mix of Ruby FW Bailey and FW Trish with badges that boost recovery and health....Trish is a cannon but the damage output is negated by those two Amethyst reversal machines and their fucking one bomb moves that splatter you like a Jackson Pollock!
I was thinking balls the wall FW BAILEY TO NEGATE THEIR OFFENSE...BUT HER MA SPECIFICS WILL BE A 'MARE!
I wanted/needed/yearned for a striker or PH. Saw Zoey, who I packed earlier in the chapter!
Tried her out and goddamn is she a hidden gem!
Trish is still the top but Zoey's got some stuff going on! And it's very PG specific! Very much for this kind of situation!
STRIKER (EASY MA MFP) with Rage payback! Get Finisher fast!
Very well balanced and very nice moveset! Signature is a knee to head (MASVIDAL)! Finisher, a pin combo! Both feel strong! She feels fast and agile but tough and durable! She also packs a punch!
Badges: Blue Stings (offensive), Blue QR (get back in the fight!), Silver Wet Blanket (negate their finisher) and silver endurance (defensive- heals). Its a nice balanced card! I'm still offensive, but I got ways of stifling their power!
Fast taunts too!

 | PTM7950 applied to 11400h and 3050. Upsiren u6 pro applied to VRMs (not the fake stuff from computersystems.gr) submitted by Dheyden to GamingLaptops [link] [comments] Heatsink reapplied. This was a cheap laptop I picked up on sale at Bestbuy. It came with a measly 8gb of RAM and 1 midrange nvme drive. I added a 2nd high end nvme with dram to boot from to the right slot (A440 Cardea) and added thermal pads + copper to both to keep temps a bit lower. I also removed the 8gb stick of ram that came with this laptop and replaced it with a 32gb - 3200mhz SK hynix kit from Teamgroup along with swapping out the MediaTek WIFI card with a AX210. I only ever had two credit cards, both were those ones where you had to deposit 200 cash and I let them both go to collections. I probably had each one for only something. Is there anywhere I that could still loan me money.

Background: I'm working a double today (3pm + Audit shift) because the auditor called in on my shift and conveniently everyone has plans including the weekend manager (if you count being at a bar "bowling alley" plans lol). I know he's going to a bar because he told me before he left haha so I didn't want to spoil that but I asked him to send me a picture of his score lol good luck with that. Supposedly the managers are supposed to be on call BUT it is payday so I'm not going to push it because I will get OT. Conveniently for me not by request, today was just supposed to be my last day for the week.
Anyway its busy were almost sold out so I turn off the inventory for the night etc. and am going to close up the pool when this story gets me thankful for this subreddit ... people think I'm exaggeration when I tell them what's going on and maybe I am a little bit here and there but WOW. Ya know what I mean.
Our sign reads: Pool hours 10am - 10pm Hot Tub closes at 11pm. That little ambiguity alone makes the maintenance guys think it doesn't have to open at 10am with the pool so sometimes they take their time with the morning chemicals before they open it up. We had a family swimming in the pool on and off throughout the evening and we allow "infants" in a certain area depending on the parents discretion ... I wish that wasn't the case its led to so many issues in itself. We don't allow kids at all into the hot tub that's strictly adults only. Despite our signage that is always an issue too. IF covid was good for anything it was closed pools and a pared down or completely shut down breakfast. Those good? days are over, for us here anyway.
Anyway the family I mentioned was enjoying out pool throughout the day and they took the posted sign about hours to mean the pool was open until 11pm and not 10. So when I came in 15 minutes earlier to get everyone out of the pool the kids started moaning and complaining then the adults started in as well. That's half-expected on any given night so I stood there for a few moments and let them rip then I pointed out our signage and before I finish one of the adults screamed "IT SAYS 11!"
I'm prepared for that too so I say in my loud firm customer service voice "The pool closes at 10pm as posted points to sign and the hot tub is open until 11pm and kids are not allowed in the hot tub points again to sign. I get the normal blowback as the kids start exiting with a few adults and usually the more tipsy adults stick around for the hot tub. I don't mind that it usually calms them down and they get to drink alcohol in cans and surprisingly we get few issues from that in particular. Unless they're with a sports group that's a whole different story.
So the kids leave and a few adults stay behind and a woman with a baby from the same family comes up and asks where our mother's room is. I don't remember the last time someone asked me that question and it takes me a moment to realize what she's asking so I tell her we don't have one and I offer her extra towels if she needs them for her room to nurse there. I honestly don't know if I overstepped a boundary by tacitly suggesting she go to her room to nurse because we don't allow that if asked in our lobby restrooms. Or at least we don't have the facilities for that in our lobby restrooms and we do not suggest that they nurse there. I think people go to their rooms generally to nurse because as I said I can't remember the last time I was asked that.
My response irked her and she began complaining about our pool hours, she doesn't want to be in the pool area if she can't sit in the hot tub with her baby if all the other people (ADULTS keyword) are allowed, etc. I hope she was just being difficult about not being able to take her baby into the hot tub and wouldn't actually do that. The baby starts crying and she said Oh great, now my babies upset and stared at me bug eyed for a few moments. I started to mutter something and she went "tsk tsk" and waved her hand in my face and said "whatever, I'll fix it with your manager tomorrow" and asked me to write my name down on my managers card. I just put an X with a few serifs or something and handed it to her and she took it without looking at it and walked off.
So I was still processing that when the rest of the people left the hot tub. They were pretty cool and relaxed and chatty and said our hot tub and pool were excellent and handed me a sizable tip and left the desk with a few cans of nice IPA. I packed that up quick for later and checked my tips and it was $45 bucks. That lessened the sting a bit of cleaning their mess while I finished shutting down the pool for the night.
