Situation is: my family (my parents: my dad retired, and my mom a housewife, me: a college student, and my brother: junior high school student) is about to move out of my childhood house with my extended family for many many reasons.
Initially, I planned on moving out with them AFTER I graduated college and found a job stable enough to support the 4 of us. But I'm still in my first year of college, practically living off of my DOST scholarship. I wanted to take advantage of the return service to immediately secure a job especially since I study engineering in UP.
It just so happened that the move out was early by a couple of years, and my only source of income is my scholarship and my art.
I used to have art commissions for when I badly needed to buy something, but even then they were few and far between (mostly because I don't do marketing and I'm busy) It's not stable enough even after I quit my extra curriculars and focus on that.
I have some unpolished plans... And my parents are also trying to figure out a way to have a source of income in this new place.
Suggestions regarding my art career goes a long way (@createwithyza on socmeds for reference ). Commissioning me for something is much much appreciated !!

Hey everyone! I was pleased by the overwhelming interest I got in my collection, as someone who has a passion for building soil and hunting beans for unique phenos the last 15 years. I am glad how many people appreciate true one of kind heirloom genetics!
Why am I getting rid of them? Simply put - I am trying to go the legit route and this state is making it beyond difficult. I need to recoup and regroup. Any support is much appreciated. I’ve waited my whole life for this.
Pricing - I updated below. Much of my collection is very hard to find one of kind stuff that is highly sought after. No random pollen chucking, true bred stabilized genomes. There’s a lot of history in that list as well if you’re someone who understands the genomics of the plant. You’ll see breeder, where they’re out of, the strain name, the cross and a little bit of history / description on some of it. Some very very special stuff. Pricing is either what I paid for it or a little more if it’s something special that’s not easy to find or not being bred anymore.
*Each strain is in original packaging stored in a curidor at a steady 52 degrees, no light, no humidity. I find this is the best way to store beans for long term storage and guaranteed high germination rates. I usually get 97-100% germ rate with my germination method which I will include on a printed out sheet for anyone who grabs any of my offerings. I want you to succeed and find something special - I cherish my collection and sad to see a lot of it go but you gotta do what you gotta do. I’d really like to see this stuff go to growers who care about the plant and preserving the uniqueness to it for years to come. Hope all of this helps

I’m not too sure if this is the best place to ask it, but i’m hoping someone has dealt with this or work in HR and can give me advice on how to go about this.
One of my co workers went on a transphobic rant at work, I will spare the details but it was just some hateful comments and purposeful misgendering of olympic athletes (we have olympic events at my workplace).
I brought it up to my supervisor and HR investigated. In my meeting they claimed they have a “zero tolerance” for it. I was told I’d be contacted with their official resolution and still have yet to be even though I know they have dropped it.
Their solution was that she writes a letter addressed to the general people in the room apologizing, and basically said “She is older and out of the loop” to know what is right and wrong (she is 60) and that there was no “formal training” beforehand to … not say transphobic things.
I am infuriated at this, as it implies if it was a younger person in their 20s who made the comment would be more harshly punished for it.
I want to contact HR and ask why more wasn’t done, but I don’t know the typical punishment for transphobic comments in the workplace (I am unionized as well if that matters) and overall stand up for the unfair punishment. Not even a write up or one day suspension or anything.
Anyone have any knowledge on this?

Hi all! So I am 26. I went the traditional route with going to college straight out of high school, majoring in chemistry. I performed well for the first year or so, then things started to go downhill due to my mental health. I went on medical leave the summer before my senior year and will be returning this fall with a prenursing major. I have 22 credits to complete before starting nursing school. I’m worried I won’t get accepted, even if I perform well this upcoming year, because of my low gpa. I have a 2.87. You need a 2.75 to be accepted but I feel like they don’t accept many people under a 3. My saving grace is that they also take your “nursing gpa” which is the classes specifically for the major, which needs to be at a 3. Mine is a 3.55. I’m still nervous. I also heard that they look at your medical records and I have been inpatient psychiatric (voluntarily) 4 times. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post 😅

Background: I work in a pediatric hospital as a tech and am 75% done with nursing school. When I started my job, I was absolutely stoked to work with some of the sickest kiddos in my part of the country. It has been extremely rewarding watching these kids go from the brink of death back to normal kids. I enjoy my job, despite the parents, staffing issues, etc. Some nights I come home wondering what I could’ve done better, some nights I come home knowing I did absolutely everything and more for those kids and their parents. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy when I realize that I was able to show up and give everything to make these families worst days just a little bit better. Here’s my problem. I’ve never once been told that I’ll make a good nurse, I’ve never been recognized for my hard work, and lately I feel like I could move mountains but it wouldn’t be enough. Part of me thinks it’s my patient population. I love kids, but I’ve always had a soft spot for adults. I grew up around adults (only kid in the family by many years) and can connect with them better, even though I’ve gotten very used to working with kids. It’s been messing with my confidence lately. I can’t tell if I just haven’t found my spot in the nursing world or if I truly lack a fundamental “skill set” that everyone has. My patients and their parents say thank you, they’re grateful for the care they receive, but I feel like I’m not making the big difference that I have always aimed for. Watching my coworkers get shoutout after shoutout is ruining my mojo and I’m not sure how to get better. I don’t know why I’m posting this or what I’m looking for. Maybe it’s to make myself feel worthy, but if you have any advice let me have it.

I’m not even sure what to write here, but I’m struggling to cope with some open emotional-cognitive-intellectual wounds, and I won’t be getting any kind of external-driven closure. I left my job in early May. It was an obviously poor fit from the beginning (Feb 2022): the unit had a lot of turnover, administrative disorganization, lack of processes for routine tasks, a lack of transparency and communication that would allow teams to function well, and intense competition within and between units for resources or positions that led to some backstabbing, lying, and undermining. In the end, I felt isolated, belittled, and confused about my role in the org when I quit.
When this mismatch occurs elsewhere in the larger organization, severance packages are offered. Because my skillset was so valuable, I was not offered severance and they asked me to stay though none of the conditions of my employment would change. I had asked multiple times for the conditions to change, but the response was that I was naive and unskilled for even asking. Im definitely not good at office politics, but I get by on being friendly, smart, funny, and possibilities-oriented.
When the work stress boiled over to my marriage and crying in my PCP doctor’s office, I felt bigger changes were needed. I’m coming to terms with feeling dehumanized when I consider they only cared about what I can produce in a dysfunctional environment and wouldn’t recognize the credibility of my experience because I’m not… old enough? I’d like to believe this is just one unit, but I think colleges and universities are only beginning to grappled with their internal and external issues.
I’ve been doing KAP and ART therapy to cope with what happened, but my therapist suggested i might be grieving since I hold so many regrets, but Im struggling to figure out what I’m grieving. I didn’t initially intend to go into my field (postsecondary education), but it was there for me when I graduated with a undergrad Writing degree in 2009 (during the Recession), and my (2013) master’s degree is in higher, adult, and lifelong education. I have loved teaching and supporting students. Idk if it’s some kind of “career death”— is that a thing?
I’m planning to change career fields, idk what I’m grieving. My body hurts and my PCP has run all the tests with no abnormal results. My nurse practitioner nudges me to have my hormones checked, but my thyroid and hormone levels are in normal range as of Dec 2023. I have had some irregular periods and cramping.
Maybe this is just average life right now, and I am not successfully coping or making much of it. My husband’s job is great, and I have some time to work things out. I am incredibly grateful for this and want to do things that make his days less stressful, like running errands and cooking. It’s been refreshing to see him be supported and championed at his work after he left the same org but different job function and unit in 2021.
I have some hope still that my career isn’t completely over and I have something valuable yet to offer in a different setting. I don’t mind doing training/certifications but will not reinvest in formal degrees and did not like being a student again when I tried going back in Sept 2023 (and left 4-weeks into the semester). I went to a professional conference in Dec 2023 and felt little connection to former colleagues who seemed legitimately happy with their choice in industry and career, but I felt no connection to their optimism, and my prior faculty and advisor didn’t remember me (it’s a small field). It felt and feels… fake.
My bestie from grad school was written off by our faculty for not being… something… enough; she is now likely to buy the business she started working for after graduation. Successful, happy. Idk… I just can’t seem to convince myself to stay in this industry, even though my skills are valuable, I don’t feel like I belong. There’s a lack of closure here. It’s sick, but I wish I had been fired or rejected from the get go.

The "Black Flame Dragon" part originates from the YuYu Hakusho anime/manga, in which one of the characters has a Black Flame Dragon living in his right arm. The "second year middle school" part references a concept called "chuunibyou", which comes from the light novel "Even with Chuunibyou, I Want to Fall in Love!", which heavily references "YuYu Hakusho". The concept of "chuunibyou" describes a particular stage in adolescence where individuals might hold delusional beliefs of grandeur, pretending to have secret knowledge or hidden powers. It's typically characterized by dramatic, over-the-top behavior, which is often a source of embarrassment later in life. This concept was vastly popularized by the anime, "Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions!"]

Hey everyone! I was pleased by the overwhelming interest I got in my collection, as someone who has a passion for building soil and hunting beans for unique phenos the last 15 years. I am glad how many people appreciate true one of kind heirloom genetics!
Why am I getting rid of them? Simply put - I am trying to go the legit route and this state is making it beyond difficult. I need to recoup and regroup. Any support is much appreciated. I’ve waited my whole life for this.
Pricing - I updated below. Much of my collection is very hard to find one of kind stuff that is highly sought after. No random pollen chucking, true bred stabilized genomes. There’s a lot of history in that list as well if you’re someone who understands the genomics of the plant. You’ll see breeder, where they’re out of, the strain name, the cross and a little bit of history / description on some of it. Some very very special stuff. Pricing is either what I paid for it or a little more if it’s something special that’s not easy to find or not being bred anymore.
*Each strain is in original packaging stored in a curidor at a steady 52 degrees, no light, no humidity. I find this is the best way to store beans for long term storage and guaranteed high germination rates. I usually get 97-100% germ rate with my germination method which I will include on a printed out sheet for anyone who grabs any of my offerings. I want you to succeed and find something special - I cherish my collection and sad to see a lot of it go but you gotta do what you gotta do. I’d really like to see this stuff go to growers who care about the plant and preserving the uniqueness to it for years to come. Hope all of this helps

Bandaid Haze ix 3.0 (Piff) - Cuban Black Haze x A5/Thai [R] 200 (2 packs) {These seeds originally came from a Spanish grower in the “A5 crew” out of Southern Holland. “A5” was short for their NL#5 x Haze A open Thai pollination project. These seeds were shared with legendary grower Bodhi, who found one male and used it to pollinate a cut of “Cuban Black Haze” that he had. The strain was referred to as “Piff” and the seeds were shared almost exclusively with Doc D. After running the seeds, Doc selected “Piff #7” and shared the cut back with Bodhi who further worked the line. The cut was a significantly better long flowering haze variety with a shorter flowering time than the Cuban Black Haze mother or A5 father. Hey everyone, I have been super hesitant posting on the thread about my medical mystery that has been ongoing for about 7 months now, I’m just at a loss and want to know if anyone has had any similar issues or advice.
Back in 2019 I had a hyperextension injury in my lower back, near my SI joint. Long story short, after scans were done, they found out I have spina bifida occulta, they told me that I’d have to live with the pain I was having and sent me on my way. Frustrated, I kept pushing through until the next issues occurred.
November 1, 2023, exactly 7 months ago now, I woke up one morning with a headache. Nothing out of the ordinary for me honestly, I’ve been told I suffer with a type of migraine disorder, but Tylenol always made it go away after a while. Skip ahead to now, June 1, 2024, and this headache is still here, I know it sounds crazy, but every single day I wake up with this headache and go to sleep with this headache, absolutely no medication has helped me, and trust me I’ve tried quite a few.
Along with this headache, I noticed a lot of other symptoms, and honestly so much has changed since then I can’t remember them all, but some include: weight gain, blurry vision (almost like a film over my eyes at times), extreme fatigue, extreme bruising out of nowhere, free bleeding every time I got even the tiniest scratch, not sleeping at night, random weakness and numbness in my hands, random entire body weakness, even more sugar drops than normal (I’m also Hypoglycemic), muscle cramps, dizziness, joint and muscle pain (more than usual), muscle cramps (more than usual), abdominal pain, extreme indigestion and heart burn, extreme bloating, TMJ flares 24/7, a knot on the side of my face located at my temple, major brain to speech delays that have almost made me speak differently now, brain fog, and the list could continue forever I feel like.
After what felt like forever with this headache and all the other issues, I go to my PCP hoping that they can help me somehow. They told me I was getting over a sinus infection and gave me antibiotics for fluid behind my ear, and muscle relaxers for my TMJ flare up which they said caused the knot on my temple as well. I didn’t think this was the issue, but did as told, and took the medications the course I was given, and to no avail, nothing changed. They said that they would refer me to a neurologist and stated that this could take a while and that they would also probably need a head CT for scheduling to accept me. No CT was scheduled and I hadn’t heard back from them in a while.
December 24, 2023, I ended up in my local ER with a debilitating headache, where I gave them my entire sob story over again, because at this point I felt so stupid coming to the ER for this. They done a head CT and gave me some IV meds that took the edge off the slightest, enough to where I could at least function some, but still in pain. They told me that my head CT was normal and that I needed to go to the neurologist after getting an appointment. So a wasted trip in my eyes because I’m still left in pain with absolutely no idea what is going on.
I get in with my now neurologist in the new year and start going to see them. They prescribed me a lot of different medications for a period of time over 3 months to see what would help, news flash, nothing helped, ever, it’s still here to this day. I have also had a brain MRI and a EEG done as well. They thought that maybe with my issues with spina bifida occulta, that I had a Chiari Malformation or some type of seizure disorder that had just made itself known. Guess what, all scans are normal, spectacular even as they all told me, my scans were the picture of health! Then why do I feel so bad every single day.
Fast forward to many appointments and medications and blood panels later. I have an appointment with my neurologist to go over what we should do next. I told them that I was also starting to experience major abdominal pain on my right lower abdomen. They assumed that maybe it was appendicitis, so we done some tests, they assumed that I was fine and sent me downstairs for bloodwork. Now,‘I’ve never had issues with getting bloodwork done, I’m a super nerd about everything medical and have absolutely no weak stomach to anything. I am getting my blood drawn and completely black out. I mean stopped breathing and had compressions started in the middle of the lab. When I finally came to, they checked all of my vitals, all normal, minus my bp was a little bit elevated. Everything else, even sugar, all normal. I was rushed to the ER that is closest to my neurologist, which is 2 and a half hours away from my house. They thought maybe I did have appendicitis and it burst. Or a possible ovarian cyst.
In the ambulance and in the ER waiting for a room, it almost happens a second and third time. I’m terrified at this point. They run an EKG, abdominal CT, bloodwork, urine sample, ultrasounds, the entire works. Guess what, all comes back normal, except they did find that my liver is slightly enlarged? Odd, but okay. I get set up appointments with a cardiologist, a GI specialist, an orthopedist spine specialist, and told to visit my OBGYN for the possible ovarian pain.
Now time for a speed round of these appointments: - OBGYN says my abdominal pain is pelvic floor muscle spasms, no reason why, gave me muscle relaxers, has gone away mostly - Cardiologist says I need a heart monitor to assess my heart palpitations, haven’t gotten that yet, so at a dead end with that for now - Spine specialist done X-rays, confirmed spina bifida occulta, also diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease (runs in my family and I done gymnastics my entire life to make it worse), I have Bilateral sacroiliitis, and Mild lumbar stenosis, sending me to PT and getting dry needling done, just had my first appointment yesterday, so ongoing. - GI specialist does an insane amount of bloodwork (yay finally), and now I’m scheduled for a fibroscan of my liver next month.
However, the following are the current bloodwork results: - High chloride - Low CO2 - Low Bun - High Alpha-1 Antitrypsin - High iron - High Transferrin - High AST - High ALT (almost double the normal amount) - Positive Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA) - ANA Titer value 1:80 - ANA Pattern Homogeneous
They also told me that even through I have had all of my hepatitis vaccines throughout my stages of life, that I am NOT protected against Hepatitis B and need to go get another round of the vaccine, however, have no active Hepatitis B infection.
And the little background I have: currently on birth control, Loryna® (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets, USP) 3 mg/0.02 mg, for oral use, I have been on this since early 2020. And I was on Lexapro 10mg for a little over a year between late 2022 to very early 2024. I am no longer taking Lexapro.
I am stumped and confused and frustrated beyond compare at this point and don’t know where to turn to next. Has anyone had an experience even close to this or any advice for where I should turn next?

I've made two posts here about my workplace, but I felt it's better to give a better perspective on what it's like there. Please note it's a long post but it's really relevant.
I had a gap in my resume after working 8 years for the same company. I quit because of personal and financial reasons, which I wish I hadn't done, but we're past that. Nearly three years later, I got a job thanks to the efforts of my former colleague, who helped mediate my financial problems and had his friend, who's a job broker, recommend me for my current company. This company has a client who is a game developer from Israel, and my role is a senior consultant in customer support. What we do is respond to customer's queries on chat and email regarding the game. Of course, we get a lot of angry and abusive customers and a lot of comments relating to race and just plain abusive. We get extra privileges such as company cab pickup and drop for all shifts, and food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner(though I could do without that).
I joined in March, and in April, my problems started. First, my dad got sick, and he needed a surgical procedure for an abscess that pushed up his kidney and was making his back ache when he tried to sleep. I managed to get sick leave despite them clearly saying I could not take leave during training, which again my colleague and his friend managed with HR. My salary got deducted as a result which I didn't mind, I only wanted to work here for six months and move to another company for a better paycheck. The problems started in May when I unknowingly and unintentionally shared a screenshot of my team's details on a chat, which I immediately reported. They gave me a warning letter for that and said that in normal circumstances, I would be fired, but since I was in training, they said it was fine. Though they said this letter would fuck up my incentives, they again assured me it wouldn't happen since I was still in training.
For reference, they said I would be getting X amount after all deductions, but if I didn't get enough CSATs, the extra X amount on top of my take-home wouldn't be credited. Which was difficult considering how the game works and how the customers act. They tell you that you have to tell them that you can't do certain things which you know will piss off the customers and make them give you a bad rating, but they also say that if you're getting a bad rating because of telling the customers what the management wants you to tell, that they can't do anything and that you have to make up elsewhere or lose your incentives.
My colleague offered to get me a new job but asked me for a full month's salary slip that shows the salary you were offered when you joined and agreed to. I took no leave for the month and only relaxed on my week offs, which by the way changed regularly. For March and April, the week-offs were Saturday and Sunday, and for May it was Friday and Saturday. Now for June, it's Wednesday and Thursday. The timings were also the same. Until July I'm working the day shifts from 8:30 am to 6, and in July I will be shifting to evening at 6:00 pm to 3:30 am.
Now the second problem arose with a guy who was asking about something and I told him his timing of the relevant task was wrong, and he was furious. It was 30 minutes before my shift ended, and at the time of my logging off, he was still going. One of the supervisors on the floor told me to leave as I was taking my dad to a physiotherapy session after work, and I came the next day to find out that he had not let go of the issue until half an hour after I left and rated it bad, saying I'm accusing him of lying. Then they pulled me into a discussion because I addressed him by his first name. For reference, his first name was Dick, and I addressed him as such. That's not to be done apparently, and if the name sounds like something else, it should not be used. They warned me that this should be the last discussion they had with me.
Now we get our salary on the first of each month(the salary cycle is calculated from the 26th of the previous month to the 25th of the current month), and I was surprised to see that I received less on my take home. I am planning to talk with the compensation team, but I feel this is deliberate. My attendance was 100% for last month as the floor supervisor confirmed, but somehow it was deducted. To top it off, the site that downloads your salary slip has been under maintenance and will be for another two months, and I'm not sure if the compensation team will also email me the salary slip. And if this discrepancy is not a discrepancy, I worry I have to work another month to get the relevant salary slip, and I don't know what obstacles I'll face then.
I seriously am at a loss on what to do.

So I (27m) have been in the talking stage with a (23f) for a couple months. I asked her about making it official and she told me maybe eventually. I was scrolling on insta and noticed she was liking other guys pics which made me jealous. She also goes out to clubs and stuff. I know that’s toxic and I’m trying to work on it but I can’t help how I feel. Long story short I got drunk and had a girl from an app come over and we ended up making out. It didn’t feel right and she ended up leaving. I still feel extremely guilty and having bad anxiety. I’ve never done anything like that before but been super stressed w nursing school, and the passing of my older brother and my dog. Def will never do that again regardless of talking stage or not just bc I don’t like how it makes me feel.

Hey everybody! I need to look for references for a project but I’m drawing a blank right now and you might be able to help me.
There’s a tattoo style, it’s not quite new but I’ve seen it resurface recently. It’s like trad, but it often has brighter colors, like pink and neon green. But it’s not new school either! It’s very much bold line trad-like but it includes more messy and chaotic detail. I’ve seen pieces that have like a lot of melting, rays and lighting, and I’d say it’s very much “punk” or whatever you may call it. There’s also a humor to it most of the time, like garbage pail kids sort of but more like cyber panther grim reaper shooting green lazers from its eyes type deal. Peep the reference, it’s not quite there yet but it’s a bit similar!
I know there’s a lot of new styles (cyber sigilsm I read the other day wtf) but I was needing help coming up with the name of this style or trend so I can look for more references.

I (26F) feel paralyzed with anxiety and regret right now. Last fall, I applied to several graduate programs. I was offered a fellowship that pays for a part-time program at a well respected school. The terms of the fellowship require that I stay in my current job while completing the program, and work in my current position for a year after graduating. I feel very grateful to have received this offer, but after accepting I am filled with regret and panic.
After thinking about it nonstop for the last 2 months and speaking with a therapist, I don’t think I want to go through with the program for a number of different reasons. However, I have signed the letter of commitment, told everyone in my life that I am doing the program, and told all of my coworkers that I'm doing the program. We are supposed to have orientation for the program on Monday and there is a media release for the fellowship on Tuesday. I have registered for classes that are supposed to begin on Monday.
It feels like it would be the complete end of the world if I were to back out now. After double checking the class drop policies, I know that I can get out now without any financial penalty (if I were to continue with the program and drop out I would owe back the amount I’ve paid in tuition). However, I would be upsetting the fellowship staff, confusing my family who all think that I’m doing the program, and humiliated at the idea of telling all of my coworkers, friends, and family that I've decided to back out. I don’t know how to move forward and feel paralyzed by the anxiety.

Pricing is either what I paid for it or a little more if it’s something special that’s not easy to find or not being bred anymore.
*Each strain is in original packaging stored in a curidor at a steady 52 degrees, no light, no humidity. I find this is the best way to store beans for long term storage and guaranteed high germination rates. I usually get 97-100% germ rate with my germination method which I will include on a printed out sheet for anyone who grabs any of my offerings. I want you to succeed and find something special - I cherish my collection and sad to see a lot of it go but you gotta do what you gotta do. I’d really like to see this stuff go to growers who care about the plant and preserving the uniqueness to it for years to come. Hope all of this helps

These seeds were shared with legendary grower Bodhi, who found one male and used it to pollinate a cut of “Cuban Black Haze” that he had. The strain was referred to as “Piff” and the seeds were shared almost exclusively with Doc D. Hello everyone, I am a 18M turning 19 soon ( Going to University) and the person in question is already 19F ( Not going to Uni because of VISA problem). I have social communication disorder and I’m not particularly good at social dilemma. I have already done a lot of research on how to move forward but I figure I should also post on reddit as well to get some more tailor advice and input from strangers.
There is this particular girl I meet in high school at 8th grade that I really enjoyed talking to ever since I meet her. I really liked her, from our chemistry together to our similar immigrant backgrounds ( I am Chinese who is born in Vietnam, and she is Filipino. We both went to private school back in our country and in similar socioeconomic backgrounds.) to how she looks sort of like me ( Same eyes, same nose, and I also have some feminine facial features). She also are interested in similar subjects as I am, as we’re both into really into Jungian Psychology, and we’re into East Asian pop culture ( Although I am more interested in Anime while she is interested in K-pop). While there is some differences between us, for instance I am more self contained and analytical ( Very INTJ) she is less so and more carefree than I was. Perhaps because we’re very similar to each other but slightly different enough, our chemistry really work well with each other. For instance, I am usually more serious and blunt while she sort of ease the tension a little bit and make our conversation more fun and less serious. Like a comedic duo. I really like her, which is why I confessed to her in tenth grade. I am very cautious and I thought I had great but not certain chance of success, that being said I was aware of the possibility she would rather stay friends. I confessed, gave her the next day to think about it. In the morning, she hesitantly told me she would give me a chance and I was ecstatic. But by lunch time, she said she didn’t want to date me anymore and her reason was that she’s not ready and in the right place to be dating just yet. I was sad and confused as I’m not too well aware what she is referring about but she said no and I still wanted to be friends with her so I said that it’s okay and we can still be friends. For the next 6-8 month we remain friend till the end of 10th grade. She told me she going to a private school, and at that point I thought I understood why she changed her mind at dating. I wished her the best, and said she has my instagram and we could hang out if we’re free. We said goodbye and we never hangout after that.
For almost two year during our 11th grade till the end of 12th grade, I honestly just forgot about her. I was busy with school, made new friends, and don’t really used instagram much and just didn’t really have an interested in talking to her. Life just happens, and I’m not really the person who get attached or fixated on someone and I don’t think she was either. On the 2nd of May 2024 ( Almost a month ago), we just randomly meet each other on a bus. Just a crazy coincidence really, I mean I don’t use SM much and didn’t really tell anyone my schedule so no way she was stalking me. We got talking again and we still have the same chemistry between us, and of course more importantly, she is still very attractive. We’re on friendly term and so I asked her why did she reject me in 10th grade. She gave me the same answer, and I confessed that I felt guilty because I didn’t know she had to move school and it was probably for the best she said no. It wasn’t awkward at all, she smiles a little I think. We kept talking after that, I even got off the bus early to keep talking to her. Then she told me to hide because her mom is really strict about her being with a boy. I thought what?? It’s 2024 and she is 19, what is she on about. But I still complied and there was a rock we just sat on and just kept on talking for two hours until it was dark. I probably could still talk to her another hour or two but she said she had “curfew” and can’t be home to late which I thought was really weird and honestly I didn’t process when she said that so I just replied okay and nod and said I really like talking to her and want to keep talking. But no instagram, I wanted her phone number. She gave me her phone number and we just hugged and said our goodbyes.
We decided next Saturday to hangout, and Saturday came and she had to abruptly canceled it. I told her it’s fine and we can just reschedule it. She left me on read. For two day. I am diagnosed with SPCD ( one way to view it is I have autism but only the social deficit parts of ASD), and I really thought I fucked up. I really start having an existential crisis because in the past I assume people were having a good time when they didn’t. And in my head, I really thought I was experiencing a different realm of reality than her. I thought our entire relationship was a lies I made up and that I had forced her to hangout with me. After all we never hang out outside of high school, she said no to my confession, I followed her out of the bus but she didn’t want me to know where she lived, I was the one who said to hang out on Saturday but she canceled abruptly. I wrote a very long text basically apologising, and saying that it’s okay and I won’t forced her to hangouts. A day later she replied saying oh don’t overthink it, and that she will replied properly. Then a week go by, absolutely nothing. See, what I don’t understand is she doesn’t go to school, has only a part time job, how is she replying so late? Then on the 8th day she replied. She said she is very sorry and that it was unacceptable and gave me the reassurance that I didn’t fuck up. She said she still wanted to see me. We set up another time to meet, over three week since I last saw her. I saw her around 5 day ago, and I went in wanting to ask so many questions but when I saw her, my brain were so conditioned that we just talk like how we always talk to each other. But I did learn one big thing, her family are Protestant Christian. I made small talk about that but didn’t ask any personal question. Then after that we just went to her house, and we just kept yapping and yapping in the living room. We had so much fun, we almost forgot I had to leave soon cause her mom is coming home. But fuck, I was supposed to confront her but we just ended up having so much fun. Idk how to feel anymore, the more I learn about her the more I realised what a pain in the ass she is, and the more I realise maybe I shouldn’t pursue a romantic relationship. I still really like her though…
But I am thinking maybe we should just remain friends, she really is not in the right space to date right now. Beside, I really don’t think she saw me as someone to date, very sad whomp whomp. Thinking of next time I see her I’ll just actually confront and clarify and set boundary in our relationship. If she see me as a friend then I’m happy too, but my penis is not very happy. If she does like me and seek to pursue a romantic relationship then I probably have a lot of work to do.
I don’t know when we will see each other again, I saw her five days ago. After we last saw each other, she said she had a lot of fun :D so I texted that I wanted to see her again. She left me on read for the last 5 days now.

Visiting good friends this week.
I have a 2 year old and they have a 19 month old. I know it’s never good to compare children. But they always ask us questions on how to do things, what would we do…etc.
Their 19 month old is my godson. And I’m concerned about him but his parents don’t seem to really care but it’s making me crazy and I need input on if it’s valid concern.
At 19 months he doesn’t speak. At all. Babbles at best and makes some letter sounds that they equate to words but he has no meaning behind them. They’ll ask him 37 times if he was more and when he finally goes “mmmm” they go “oh so you do want more! good words!” I haven’t even heard him refer to them as mama or dada. They just come up with weird theories as to why he has no words.
He has zero focus. I mean he has not yet focused on a task at all since we’ve been here. It’s like he just looks through everything or anyone speaking to him unless you fight for his attention.
Demands or direction? Nope. Nothing.
Even his dexterity is really low. He can feed himself but I feel like looking at his hands he doesn’t have the normal muscle built that you see in other kids. He also struggles taking small steps up or down, like just a curb requires holding his hand and standing while he works through it for a minute.
He stays at home and has no socialization with other children so it’s expected he has no idea how to play other than destroying anything my daughter tries to do. But we did convince them to enroll him in daycare as he was just sitting home with his working mum and she’s expecting another baby any day now.
My husband and I don’t plan to be all “this kid is behind and yall need intervention” but when they ask for advice we’d like to lightly throw in our opinion as they are receptive of it (like “maybe you should ask his doctor”). We’re just not sure if this is normal for his age since we only have experience with our own kid.
Has anyone experienced their own kid like this? Did you have to use therapy or any other resources?
