My sister who Iāve posted about in this subreddit before got a DUI this week. Itās her first one. I saw her the night it happened, I was over at my familyās house watching a movie with my other sister on the couch. Q sister came in and said goodnight to us and that she was going to bed and upstairs.
My sister and I woke up to her calling our phones from jail at 2 AM, but when the recording said press 1 to accept this call it would say she didnāt have any money in her account and so it couldnāt connect, so we didnāt actually get to talk to her or find out what jail she was in, and what happened until the next day. She was pulled over for reckless driving in a suburb 40 minutes away from the house (we still have no idea why she was up there) failed her sobriety test and blew a .17 on the breathalyzer. Sheās out of jail and waiting to be arraigned. My mom wanted to pick her up from jail and tell her she could go directly to rehab or that sheād drive her to any drop off spot of her choosing but she could not live at the house anymore. My sister agreed to go to rehab, but it has been impossible to find her a spot that her insurance will cover. Sheās been out of jail for two days now and we still have not been able to find her a spot anywhere. So sheās just at the house watching TV. From what I googled sheās definitely going to have to pay thousands in fines and could get up to 90 days in jail in our state. Iām terrified for her, sheās a very sensitive and anxious person and I canāt imagine her in jail.
My familyās house is old and creaky and it is impossible to come downstairs without the entire house knowing someone is on the stairs, thereās literally no way she could have snuck down them and we never saw her come downstairs to leave, which means she must have snuck out on the roof. Sheās 26.
For some reason I canāt get the image of her deciding to climb onto the roof and shimmy down to sneak away out of my mind. What kind of grown adult does that? She used to pack my lunches for me when we were kids and I had a field trip. She used to drive her car close to where I exited the building after high school and wait for me so I wouldnāt have to walk around looking for her car in the line, even though this put us at the back of the line every day and meant we got home 20-30 minutes later. I feel like I donāt even know her anymore.
Iāve spent every free minute I have had over the last 3 days trying to find her a rehab spot. I have 6 college assignments due tomorrow at midnight and havenāt started a single one and my apartment is a wreck but I canāt think about anything else other than her.

Day 30. Iām lucky enough to be on a remote fly in fishing trip I booked a while ago. It seemed like the culture was fish hard the gather at the bar and swap stories. It was a fun day but craving all day long. And every fān country song the guide played was about drinking. Every one (although they all probably are :). Headed to the bar before dinner and thankfully they had some NA spirits. And thankfully I asked, was sooo close to saying f it. That fake gin and sprite in a regular mixed drink glass was enough to calm me down. Slept 10 hours and feel not hungover this morning. Thankful for the small win :)

Okay so I need some serious help and guidance. This is going to be a bit of a story, so i apologize for the length.
Info: 23 yr old male, gay, 5ā5, 130 pounds-ish
(Sidenote: I used to be a fat child so Iāve always had body image issues, and in high school I was anorexic/ bulimic for a few years. The issue Iām going to be discussing is separated from these past occurrences, but I thought my past with eating disorders was worth mentioning as itās related).
My issues began about 3 years ago. I started getting more into fitness for aesthetic reasons. Before this decision I was already very healthy (exercised about 3 times a week, no alcohol, lots of Whole Foods, good sleep, and have been a vegan for many years beforehand). Once I made this decision to get more into fitness, I developed an eating disorder over time and bad body dysmorphia. I over-exercised and under ate, I was not fueling or recovering properly from lifting sessions, which made me lose a lot of weight that I did not need to lose as I was already skinny beforehand. Eventually after about a year and a half i realized my issue and began eating more, which lead to great results both physically and mentally. However it seems that since recovering from the eating disorder, the over exercising has come back. Iām no longer afraid to eat enough, but i just am doing wayyy too much. Iāll put my full current routine below, but to sum it up Iām working out everyday, at least an hour and a half. I have two hardcore leg days (Mon/Fri) along with a lighter leg day that is combined with one of my 2 arm days (Weds), 2 arm days (Weds/ sun), and 3 abs/ core/ full body yoga days (Tues/ Thurs/ sat). I do lifts at home using dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands, as I donāt like working out with others. My current routine gives me the aesthetic goals I want, which is strong legs/ glutes, a toned waist, and toned arms, but this routine is taking away a lot from my life. I donāt want to progressively overload with weights as I already did this going from a 20 to 30 to 40 pound dumbbell Iām currently using, plus Iām ok with my current muscle size. I just want to modify my current routine to give me similar results but not have it take over my life. I wake up between 4:30 and 5AM every day since i workout in the morning, as this is the only time i can do so. I have to wake up so early because the workouts I listed above take so damn long. My 2 hardcore leg days (Monday and Friday) used to only take 2 hours, and now theyāre 3 hours. I get results, but the rest of the day I feel weak, exhausted, and like Iām running on stress hormones. This is the major issue Iām having, as my main goal with weightlifting was to have juicy thighs/ glutes, which Iām getting, but at what cost. My remaining lighter leg day (Wednesday) is also combined with arm lifts and a 45 min walk. For 2 of my 3 abb days (Tuesday/ Thursday) I do an hour and 20 mins of stomach vacuums, an intense 25 min core/ full body yoga video, and then a more relaxed 30 min full body yoga video, which ends up being about 2 1/2 hours counting rest and bathroom break. For the remaining 3rd abb day (Saturday), I do the vacuums, the intense core/ full body yoga, and then a 10 min jog ending in a sprint (about two hours total). My remaining day (Sunday) is just arms and a 45 min walk which I have no issue with.
Current Routine: (5:20-8:20)AM LIFT: LEGS Monday-10 x 4 (40) reverse lunges, 12 x 4 (48) squats, 9 x 4 (36) deadlifts, and 20 x 3 (60) glute bridges. ALL USING SINGLE 40 LB DUMBBELL
(5:30-8:00)AM VACUUMS/ABS/YOGA Tuesday- floor vacuums, 25 min core yoga, 30 mins full body yoga.
(5:40-8:10) AM LIFT: ARMS/ LEGS/ WALK Wednesday- arm lifts, 30 glute kickbacks (each leg) with 20 pound, 15 x 4 exercise- band hip abductions, 10 x 4 (40) glute bridges, 45 min walk. ALL USING SINGLE 40 LB DUMBBELL
(5:30-8:00)AM VACUUMS/ABS/YOGA Thursday-floor vacuums, 25 min core yoga, 25 mins full body yoga.
(5:00-8:00)AM LIFT: LEGS Friday-10 x 4 (40) reverse lunges, 12 x 4 (48) squats, 9 x 4 (36) deadlifts, and 20 x 3 (60) glute bridges. ALL USING SINGLE 40 LB DUMBBELL
(5:00-7:00AM) VACUUMS/ABS/JOG Saturday- floor vacuums, 20 min core yoga, 10 min jog with spring at finish.
(5:30-7:00)AM ARMS/ WALK Sunday- arm lifts, 50 min walk.
ā«ļøI need help in reducing this routine. It is taking over my life. I have to go to bed by 9:30 every night in order to sleep enough for a morning workout everyday, which has drastically killed my social life. This exercise disorder has killed my libido, and Iām almost certain my cortisol levels are too high because I go through days of water retention/ bloating most likely due to constant physical & mental stress. My Goal is to restructure and lessen the entire routine overall to be more sustainable, but my main focus is to reduce the length of time for leg days.
ā«ļøI need help Specifically with shortening the mon/ fri leg days so they donāt take 3 hours. Theoretically I understand it shouldnāt take 3 hours, but because of the large number of sets & reps, I need to take more rest periods in order to finish the full leg workout. I like the leg exercises (reverse lunges, squats, deadlifts, and glute bridges), but just not the excessive reps. Ive accepted that reducing these leg days may result in some muscle loss. I just need to find a way to still do these 4 leg exercises with similar results I have now, but not taking as long. Iāve heard that excessive reps actually hinders muscle development. Are my rep numbers considered excessive? and would reducing my rep numbers cause muscle loss, even if theyāre excessive?
ā«ļøIs two leg days (instead of 3), enough to maintain my current muscles? I want to cut out the additional 3rd day of leg lifts on my Wednesday arm day, but Iām worried that cutting out these lifts will make glutes smaller.
ā«ļø Is 2 abb/ yoga days enough for tone? Would cutting off the 3rd day negate or improve my goal of have a defined but slim torso? Iām worried this 3rd abb day Iām currently doing could eventually overdevelop my core, which I donāt need as my torso is already square shaped. However Iām also worried that only doing 2 abb days a week will make me wide torso less defined. This 3rd abb day is on Saturday, the day after one of my intense leg days, so I always feel depleted and exhausted for this workout.
ā«ļøLASTLYā¦. I need outside perspective. Iāve already spoken to my cousin about this as sheās a personal trainer, and she Told me I was really overdoing it. Ive already reduced my Reps for leg days to my current routine, but it still feels like too much. I know Iām overdoing it, Iāve known for a while but I just feel stuck and that Iāll lose my results if I modify my routine to be more sustainable. I love fitness but this is taking a toll on my life. I know that I need to lessen this routine, I just have no idea where to start, and no idea how to restructure it in a way that still gives me similar results to what I have now. Please any help is helpful, Iām desperate.

I hope this inquiry finds you all well.
Iām looking for more information about getting baptized into the orthodox faith with my newborn son. A little background, I was baptized as a Lutheran myself as an infant about 30 years ago, but since then have not been strong in my faith, I can explain further down the post for those who care to know. Nonetheless, my wife is from Ukraine and Orthodox and we just had a son a few weeks ago who we both agree should be baptized orthodox as well in Ukraine.
My question is, what is the process for me to join the church? Thereās a different term other than baptized (since I already have been) but my research is making me go in circles.
For those who were wondering, I was baptized Lutheran as an infant, grew up going to religion classes twice a week, was confirmed into the church around the age of 12 or 13. As I grew older my relationship with God grew distant, for reasons Iām not too proud of. I started to doubt as I grew older, I saw the way churches around me in America were turning (mega churches, churches altering their values, etc.) and simply lost touch. Those were my young adult days. As Iām approaching my 30ās now, I feel as though my experiences in life have made me change the way I used to think. I knew very little about the orthodox faith before meeting my wife, but since then with my research, and traveling to multiple orthodox countries. I began to love the values and traditions of the church, unaltered and unapologetic, the true faith.
I want to be whole with my family and Christ as my son gets baptized in the coming months.

My girlfriend of almost a year left me. First serious relationship ever. She told me it was her not me. Being a bad gf, long distance (the college I am going to is 30 minutes away from her school), and not having time for me I believed most of this at face value for the first 2 weeks. She told me I ment so much to her for her junior to senior year. And that she felt so luck to be with someone that treated her how she felt like she deserved. If that be notes, gifts, date ideas, checking up, being a shoulder to cry on, and respecting her physical boundaries that she did not want crossed alone. That on more than one time she admitted she thought I was just going to try to take her V-card. When she wanted to wait, and I told her I respect and care about you to much to her hurt you intentionally. All photos of us are gone on her account. They are not gone on my at all I for whatever reason am feeling better and unachievable 3 of the 6 total post that we are in together. Just so yall are aware I still have 2 post with my pass ex. Was not super serious but I cared about her and she was like my first kiss, gf, school dance, date, etc. We went no contact after my graduation 6 days later. This has been really hard for me especially when she picked me when we started dating.

I just started taking 150mg of Wellbutrin yesterday for depression and some add symptoms. I also take Caplyta 42 mg and Lamotrigine 100 mg. One thing I can feel is that I'm very awake overall in a better mood. But when I looked it up people usually say it takes several weeks to see a difference. I know the placebo effect is very real but I genuinely feel like 30% better already. I did also stop smoking weed carts because I'm nervous about the seizures so it could also be that. Has anyone else experienced this?

When should you start to be worried?
I know meltdowns are normal and important for the emotional development of a child. But when does it start to be not "normal" anymore?
I'm not talking about a few huge meltdowns a week. I'm talking about 2-4 huge meltdowns that last half an hour or longer and 20-30 tinier meltdowns that last between 2-5 minutes in a day. Just constant screaming/whining and throwing stuff. Everything is just wrong all the time.

The new proposal Biden laid out is made up of three phases, and breaks from previous proposals because a ceasefire would continue as the parties move through all three. During the first phase, a ceasefire lasting for six weeks, Israeli forces would withdraw from Gaza population centers, and hostages, including the elderly and women, would be exchanged for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. Palestinian civilians would return to Gaza, including northern Gaza, and 600 trucks would bring humanitarian aid into Gaza each day, Biden said.
In the second phase, Hamas and Israel would negotiate terms of a permanent end to hostilities. "The ceasefire will still continue as long as negotiations continue," the president said, a new development. The third phase would include a major reconstruction plan for Gaza.

Many, if not most renters of land in a mobile home park, have leases for one year, which likely have never been renewed from year to year, as the law states.
If my case is not dismissed, it will become 'case law', which can then be used by any greedy, unscrupulous landowner who wants to own your home to evict you and take possession of your home, whether there exists no cause or reason for the eviction.

2024.06.01 13:29 staycbubble Currently in JC2. Is there hope for me for a levels. I am a U student throughout.
To start off, I was a lazy slacker ( except for pw ). Never really listened in class and didnāt do tutorials. I messed up terribly. About 5 days ago, I had a realisation this isnāt what I wanted.
I started studying 2 days ago. Iām so lost on how to start.
My plan is to hit 2 chapters a day during June, eg (1a and 1c), like APGP and Summation.
I tookH1 geog the previous year. So I have to cover 3h2s and GP. My foundation is equivalent to one who hasnāt learnt anything, scoring Us throughout the time in my school.
If I aim to cover 2 chapters a day, assuming each h2 subject has 30 chapters ( considering a),b),c) of each topic if available as one chapter), can I learn everything from scrap again? Meaning doing lecture+tutorial again.
I have 27 days in June where there is practically no school for me. Prelims are in august. Do I seriously have hope to even get 75rp for a levels.?
I am so lost and Iām Panicking.

Hi guys,
So I failed my LPIC-101 for a second time. According to their retake policy I now have to wait 30 days to do it again. But I noticed that can still schedule a new exam within this period. I rather not wait 30 days due to work obligations
Has anyone also expierenced this issue? What would happen if I schedueled it anyway?
P.S I know that the certification isn't worth it, but I need it for work :)
