2024.05.15 05:30 delibirdguy Top 500 Songs Ever (Subjective)
Over the course of the past few months I have been working on compiling a list of my 500 favorite songs. It was sort of challenge that I gave myself and I'm super pumped with how it turned out. There were a few rules (only 5 songs per artist being the big rule, among a few others), and here's the list I came up with. Thought it was fun, so wanted to share here and see if it might spark any discussion about song placement, lack of songs/artists, or see if anyone had any similar lists. All thoughts are welcome! (and if you don't care to comb through all 500 songs for your favorite song or artist I'm more than happy to help you track 'em down)

2024.05.09 20:03 havesomefunyet What’ll happen to Brad Pitt’s age in about a year (it can be real bad)?
So actors have a knife under chin now & then with some Botox topped with a face lift.
Brad Pitt did the same and it took some off the man’s age visually as evident in 2024 but here’s a pattern that I’d just noticed..
Another man of his age, The Scientology Chipmunk,Tom Cruise did the same in 2020 and kinda looked young the next year in 2021 and as it was there in some of the scenes of the latest Mission Impossible movie (majority of the shooting part was done from 2020-2021 just about when Tom’s work was done)
Now a frank reminder an year later which’s in 2022, he shows up for the Top Gun Maverick premiere ,he started to look his age but constructed but that was NOT the case the coming year where he come across an old aged lesbo with floppy hair.
Now this fella(Tom) believes he could still look young with stem cell reconstruction and we all have seen what’s happened with the Jenners, Kardashians and now even Kate Beckinsale, the stunning Brit beauty who’s looking like a clayey version of Miley Bobby Brown.
I’m afraid Brad Pitt’s old age metabolism won’t keep up with the face lift and it’s gonna end up in a disaster.
Just check out this link

2024.04.14 08:43 mmayor114 Dress Rehearsal Report: Ryan Gosling / Chris Stapleton 4/13/24
I was at the dress rehearsal for the Ryan Gosling episodes tonight (via standby) and can summarize what what was changed/cut to the best of my memory. If anyone else was at dress, feel free to correct or add anything I missed :)
Alien Encounter - AFAIK this was about the same in dress and live. Ryan's vocalization of the alien language was different I think.
- There was also a lot less breaking at dress. Ryan only broke when Kate went between his legs, and not as badly as at live.
Monologue Engagement - At the end, Ryan picked up the suitcase before going over and kissing Andrew on the head.
Cabo Grill - Joke cut when Ryan's ordering his drink: After he orders a Cuba libre, Sarah says "so just a rum and coke with a lime?"
- Sofia Vergara was the first club guest mentioned instead of Eva Mendes.
- As a follow-up to the joke about Kenan's girlfriend baking, he also tells the guys that she knits. They ask "So she can knit you a sweater?" and Kenan says "No that's too big."
Beavis and Butthead - There was also a lot of breaking at dress, but not as much as at live.
- After the cutaway to the King of the Hill lookalikes, Heidi had an additional line "Those guys look like characters from King of the Hill!" and Kenan replied "You know King of the Hill but not Beavis and Butthead?"
Weekend Update: Colin Jost and Michael Che - Colin's joke about cocaine as medicine was worded a little differently. In dress, he said something like "[in 1864] the newest development in the medicine at the time was cocaine."
- Cut Joke from Colin right before the confiscated gun joke (paraphrased): "A fight broke out this week at a Chipotle over some guacamole. Everyone knows when guacamole is involved, things go bad quick." The audience did not laugh at this much (I loved it personally).
- And then during the confiscated gun joke after pulling out the gun, Colin ad-libbed "bet you wish you laughed at the guacamole joke!"
- Che made a joke about some news story about single people staying home, and the punchline was basically calling them ugly and the audience didn't go for it. Not surprised it got cut.
- For the Mike Johnson/Trump joke, the audience had a clear delayed reaction which turned to shock after 2 seconds. Colin ad-libbed to Che: "You'll have to explain that one to me later."
Michael Longfellow - Cut joke about leaving dirty dishes out to dry instead of washing them.
- There was a second moment where Longfellow addressed the camera/women directly (but I can't recall what he said the second time).
Caitlin Clark - After giving her jokes to Che, Colin chimed in and says he wrote one too which was the "Be Funnier Dumbass" joke. I think she had a different third joke, but I can't remember.
- The apron she gave Che at dress was a more standard unisex-looking red apron.
Surgeons (They
posted the dress rehearsal version)
- "That's the way the cookie crumbles" was Bowen's motto for the cookie crumbles at dress.
- When wheeling Mikey in, Molly accidentally ran the wheelchair into Bowen at dress, surprising him and causing everyone to break (I think JAJ was in tears). Mikey ad-libbed something about watching where they were going.
- Ryan was much more consistently doing the tick of blowing his hair out of his face during dress.
Erin Brockovich - Ryan saying "I thought you only had 2 daughters" I think was only at live.
- The Friends bit was longer, with Ryan adding a descriptor to each of the friends: "Chandler: the sarcastic one. Rachel: haircut. Joey: the hot but dumb one. Ross: Monica's brother. Monica: Ross's sister. Phoebe: Smelly cat."
- There was one more round of the sketch's joke before the end where Andrew Dismukes enters as a UPS delivery man. Someone says something like "We don't have time for this." And Andrew goes "Time? I know some times. 8:30. 7-ish. Lunch." (I think I'm missing one or two in his list).
Cut for Time
\1. Canada Commercial (live sketch)
- Ryan and Bowen speak directly to the camera in a commercial about Canada. "Not just America's hat." They say a list of things about Canada, with the last being that milk comes in a bag in Canada. They would then list some more things and then come back around to the bagged milk thing. They list famous Canadians like Shania Twain (photo), K.d. Lang (Chloe Troast stepping out), Martin Short (Chloe Troast stepping out in the same hair and costume). And they poke fun at the Canadian band The Tragically Hip. There's a quick bit where Ego and Longfellow curl across the stage. They go back to the bagged milk thing, showing how you put the bag in a pitcher and the cut the top open so you can pour and then you just kind of leave it like that. They also mention Canadian bacon and question why it is called peameal bacon in Canada.
- Was pretty funny, but the audience didn't seem to like it so not surprised it got cut.
\2. Papyrus Sequel (Pre-Tape)
- I'm not even gonna bother describing this now cause I assume they must be uploading it. ETA: Seems less cut-for-time and more an intentional digital exclusive.
\3. Weekend Update Correspondent: Kenan as O.J. Simpson (with Colin)
- Kenan comes out as OJ, dressed in white with one of those fluffy white halos over his head. OJ tells Colin about how he's in heaven now and it's great. Says how he's really hungry all the time, but any time he grabs any food it turns to dust. And he plays football in heaven, too, but whenever he gets to the endzone, he fumbles the ball and it rolls all the way down the field. And the audience just stares at him and points. Also mentions snakes latching onto his nipples. And periodically a black glove appears on his hand which "fits perfectly." (A crew member under the table would sneak the glove onto his hand and then Kenan gets shocked by it). Colin questions if he really is in heaven. OJ says it is heaven cause his lawyers are there and there's a lot of priests too (audience shock reaction to priests joke). And god is there too, but he doesn't look like he expected. He doesn't have a beard and has bat wings and every day he cuts his own dick off and eats it. OJ does want to admit to something: that all his cars were rented from Enterprise. At the end, there was a slight mishap where a voiceover from "God/Satan" played and simultaneously the crew member did the glove bit again which Kenan reacted to, which drowned out the voiceover. As Kenan left the desk he shouted to the audience that the glove came too early.
\4. Escape Room (live sketch)
- Ryan, Bowen, and Sarah are three friends led into a new section of an escape room by the host (Mikey) and are accompanied by Heidi, who is a "hot stranger" who they let join their escape room group. The trio reference a "tone" issue they had in the prior room. As they start on the new room, Ryan says something like "Guys, get it together!" and Bowen and Sarah immediately chastise him for yelling at them and then they proceed to have a back and forth with him about exactly what tone he used when he spoke to them, with Ryan saying "Guys" in various ways, eventually melodically, until they agree again. The same thing occurs except Bowen is deemed the aggressor. Mikey gives them a three minute warning, at which point Heidi admits that she's been sabotaging them by going around and swallowing keys. I think that's about where it ended.
\5. Pokemon Pitch Meeting (live sketch)
- Ryan and Punkie are in a conference room pitching new Pokemon to Bowen and Kenan. They have an easel pad with a layout similar to a Pokemon card with at picture of a Pokemon in the top middle, with an attack listed below and below that a description. (The text on the "cards" seemed to match what Ryan and Punkie would say more or less). The first Pokemon: Pikachola, described as "Pikachu, but chola." with an image of Pikachu in stereotypical chola clothes. The rest of the Pokemon (about 3 or 4) all have some kind of existential issue. Pomobolo a mushroom Pokemon. Bobledon(?), basically just a rock with eyes, but it gets weird at parties, drinks too much, and then sends unsolicited nudes on the way home. Bowen and Kenan ask how this would battle Squirtle for instance. Ryan then describes Squirtle using water gun, Bobledon using send nudes, and then Squirtle screenshotting the nudes and sending them all to its friends and ridiculing Bobledon. Another Pokemon looks like a bunch of grapes each with a face. Two are green while the rest are purple. The two that are green are soul mates but are cursed to be on opposite sides of the bunch and never see each other. The last one was just a drawing of a woman in a skirt suit with a big hat named Miss Bianca. She is a surprise witness, so just when you think you are going to win the trial, she stomps in and ruins your defense. Bowen says all the Pokemon are approved and ready to be unleashed on the world.
I'm shocked they cut the Papyrus sequel. I also think all of the cut material was better than the Cabo Grill sketch. Perhaps they didn't want to shut out Marcello since that was his only role all night.

2024.04.14 05:40 lifeinprod Colleen Rafferty!
This sub really helped me appreciate alien-abducted Colleen as one of SNL's best recent recurring characters. Kate McKinnon's surprise appearance in the cold open, with a performance that made Ryan Gosling break character, was great.

2024.04.14 04:15 space_llama_karma What are your predictions for tonight’s episode?
I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Kate and Cecily will come back to do an alien abduction sketch with Ryan Gosling.
And WU will honor Norm in some way from OJ’s passing.

2024.04.08 20:28 CP4-Throwaway A rough estimate of celebs that may seem more X, M, or Y from Famous Birthdays, based on the widest definition of my personal transitional Gen Y/Anadigital/Xennial/MilleXer microgeneration, b. circa 1977-1985 (UPDATED)
Just for context, in this specific post:
X = Gen X
Y = Cusp
M = Millennial
This is a repost from the
original (which was an extension of the very original post
here) that I did a few years back, just to be updated for 2024 because I thought it'd be to fun to explore this again.
But I will exclude the 1984-1985 list because that'd be way too long. I'll add them in the comment sections. So in this post, I'll focus on the celebrities born from 1977-1983.
I know the vast majority of this sub will disagree but I'll post it anyway.
This is based on the vibes and/or appearance of the celebrity so please don't take this too seriously as this may or may not be accurate, depending on one's view of Gen X and Millennials. This is based on my current perception of these celebrities.
WARNING: THIS POST WILL BE SUPER LONG!!! DISCRETION ADVISED!!!!!!
