Kith Aspen closed indefinitely 😔
Wanted to see if the TaylorMade collection would be available in Aspen and they let me know it’s been closed indefinitely 😭
Makes sense given the Malibu opening and Seoul opening. Ronnie never visits Colorado anymore, but maybe there’ll be hope for a Denver location as the city grows.

2024.06.05 20:12 SashMachine Bloomingdale’s price match?

Anyone here familiar with Bloomingdale’s sale policy? I had bought a dress in store at 59th st about three weeks ago and now I see it is $200 less online. I already wore the dress and removed the tags (including the tag they put the sticker on with the little square qr code). If I buy the same dress online and bring the brand new identical dress with the tags with my in store receipt to the store - would they refund me the “full price” item? Or would they notice the little QR code sticker is missing/online items have different clothing codes? TY

2024.06.05 20:12 abrewsterslifeforme Best Fabric store for garment fabric? Bonus if it's open Sunday (cause I'll be in town this Sunday 😅)

I already posted this in a sewing sub, but figured I'd ask here too. I have a morning event in Portland on Sunday followed by an afternoon event, meaning I'll have an hour or two to kill between events. So I need some advice: the best fabric store, with a decent amount of garment fabrics, that is open on a Sunday? I won't have a ton of time so I'd like to concentrate on one, possibly two, stores to visit. My first event is in the SE 28th/Burnside area and my second event is on Mississippi, proximity to either spot would be ideal, but not necessary.
I don't live too far away so if there is a store that I absolutely must visit, even if it's closed Sunday, please let me know. I live in a rural city and my only garment fabric store is a very small Joann's.

2024.06.05 20:12 Prestigious_Initial1 I think my sister is an asshole, do you?

My parents are old in age and currently both experiencing health issues. My dad is now on dialysis and had a major accident years ago that left him partially disabled from a car accident unable to walk correctly. My mom is dealing with high blood pressure issues and has major joint issues due to extreme arthritis. My dad got on disability shortly after the accident and my mom recently went into early retirement after her arthritis made it hard for her to move around easily. My parents were able to qualify for a home about seven years ago with the help of the tribe my father is apart of. Basically they put forth half the amount of a home designed for their needs and the tribe paid the other half. My parents would then pay the tribe back at a lower rate for a period of time until it is completely theirs. Well shortly after they got this home my mom was still working and my dad already out of work my sister and her husband split up, they had one child who was around five years old at the time. My parents allowed her to move in with them in this new two bedroom home for a short time while she went to school and got back on her feet. Unfortunately she let the divorce get the best of her and began to get really sick. She ended up going back to her husband during the divorce process then later came back to my parents extremely sick. when she was in and out of the hospital for months it turns out she was in keto acidosis a condition diabetics often develop when blood sugars are high for too long. She had always had diabetes since about the age of 15 however she never took care of herself. Her family would eat out often and had lots of starchy meals for dinners. Due to the prolonged neglect she had toward her diabetes she became blind and on dialysis. Being unable to go back to dental assistant school my parents took her in and helped her make steps to getting her health on track and adjusting to new life.
Now present day she is on a few programs that help her with income. It is a food program, funds for her and her son’s living necessities, and also some medical programs that help discount food medicines and medical care. My parents have encouraged her over the years to get her husband to pay child support and for a while she did. However when he stopped payments she did not want to return to the lawyer to have a court look into the matter as she stated she didn’t want to do that to her ex husband. She was okay with her son often going without clothes, school items and sometimes food, as it often didn’t last on the small income and a house of four. However in recent days now her son is a teenager and needs more in terms of supplies food and living. She continues to not want to get her ex in trouble but often complains my mother and father are asking too much from her. To cover the extra expenses of living my parents have asked 200$ monthly from her to make sure the food in the house lasts along with paying for the water light and gas other utilities. My mother and father have told her over the years as her health has become more manageable and she is more independent, that she should apply for state housing or join one of the tribal programs for housing as they did. However she had repeatedly turned them down stating they have to care for her now since she is divorced and disabled. The tension in the house is tremendous because her son is now a teenager and dealing with some behavioral issues. There is often fighting yelling and household repairs that need to be made due to his outbursts. when my parents have come to her to ask her to please parent her son she’s become upset often fighting with them and as punishment, denying them food in the refrigerator or rent for that month. As my parents are both out of work now money is very tight for them and because they are having to care for two more people their income often does not last at all so for her to deny them food or the $200 rent that they all agreed on, it really does impact their health. Recently an argument arose where at the beginning of the month my sister paid the $200 angrily to my mother stating that she was stressed because her son would soon be starting a new after school activity that would require money to pay and school will be starting up soon for him early this year so she was going to need extra money to buy him clothes all of which she blamed on my mother and father for taking the $200. My mother suggested to her that she reached out to the lawyer again and ask her husband to cover some of those fees for her son and she snapped stating that she did not want to hurt her ex. My parents both explained to her that the 200 she was providing them was to cover the cost of the food along with the light bill that was higher that month due to the rising temperatures. With her food card, my sister took it upon herself to go to the store with her son and purchase lots of snack items of which my parents could not eat due to their health issues. My mother asked her if there was anything left over so that they could possibly get some healthier options for them and she allowed them to purchase the rest of the food. Well, a few days later, my sister was upset that she did not budget correctly and instead of saving money for her necessities. She was spending on things like coffee and lunch in the mornings through delivery from fast food restaurants. She later came to my family, stating that she was upset my parents, took the rest of her food card money to purchase vegetables and fruits rather than save. Later that evening, my mother calls me and tells me that my sister has explained to her that she was very upset that there was no money left over in the food card, and that as a result, she would not be allowing them to have any part of their food for the next month and she would not be paying $200 for the rent. My mother in shock is now worried and stressed out, developing some health issues and needing to go to the doctor due to the stress that is being caused. My mother is worried that they will not be able to cover any of the bills next month or be able to make her upcoming surgery appointment, because she will have to find a part-time job that can accommodate her with her disability.
I am pretty shocked and upset that my sister would react this way. She has plenty of services provided to her where she can’t get a home of her own at no cost due to the amount of the disabilities she has she is also in a better place financially than my parents are at the moment due to her having a child who is in need. Many of the volunteers who assist her have often recommended that they can provide her a free nurse with her insurance that could help her in a new home to adjust, but she has repeatedly denied. It seems at this point she would like to live at their home for free without giving any type of help, even though she is in a position to assist them. She will often use my parents guilt get her way. One thing she will tell them is that they knew she had diabetes as a young girl and wouldn’t check on her in her adult life when she was married, so as a result, she did not take her medicine and part of her becoming blind, and on dialysis is their fault for not making sure she was doing all she needed to do to avoid what happened. I feel she’s being very selfish. It’s made me hate her and really dislike the way she reacts. I have gone into debt helping out my parents with their bills, credit cards and food because she has not wanted to step up and help out in a household, she is a part of, what should they do? What do you guys think are we being too hard on her?

2024.06.05 20:11 TheWealthElevator What should you consider when creating a financial plan for buying a rental property?

Property Selection:
BONUS - get a property analyzer and at least do the Rent-to-Value Ratio analysis. You need more than 1% is needed to be able to cashflow after expenses. You find the Rent-to-Value Ratio by taking the monthly rent dividing by the purchase price. For example a $100,000 home that rents for 1,000 a month would have a Rent-to-Value Ratio of 1%. Most people I work with live in primary markets (as opposed to Birmingham, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Memphis, Little Rock, Jacksonville, Ohio, or other secondary or tertiary markets) where the Rent-to-Value Ratios are under 1%.

Don't make the mistake I did, walking all the way to Trader Joe's and back, wasting 40 minutes, because they changed their hours effective June 1. It seems some (all?) city stores are now not opening until 9 am.
This is pretty annoying, not allowing office workers to shop before work and peak hours.

2024.06.05 19:58 Zuresbelike How to order a good magnesium dosage? 400mg of glycinate and 100mg of l-threonate?

There's a store in my city that makes supplements based on your preferences, l was planning to order for 1 pill to have 400mg of magnesium glycinate and for the supplement to be 30 pills
However i also wanted to add magnesium l-threonate to it because of the brain health effects (the high magnesium glycinate is to improve my sleep)
could i do like 400mg of glycinate and 100mg of l-threonate on 1 pill and take it at night? or would 500mg total magnesium be overkill?
also, is 100mg of l-threonate enough for the brain health effects?

2024.06.05 19:56 Calculation [Question] Casual "everyday" watch under $100

I've been working from home and remotely for the past few years, so I stopped wearing watches. Now, I'm looking for a casual watch that goes with everything and won't break the bank.
I have a few "nicer" budget watches, like a Casio Duro and an Invicta Pro Diver, which I wear for dressier occasions or when going out to dinner. However, these watches feel a bit too much for everyday wear, like running to the grocery store in a plain t-shirt, gym shorts, and a hat.
Do you have any suggestions for a good everyday watch to wear even in loungewear and casual clothes?

2024.06.05 19:53 Outrageous-Voice-216 Can I live comfortably with 33k pm?

Hi, I just finished my ug, and will be moving to Hyderabad from Bangalore soon. I'm placed at a Big 4, with a package of 4lpa :(. I was wondering if I will be able to live a decent life with it, since I am not going to take money from parents anymore. My office will be in hitech city, I'm willing to compromise on things, except for accommodation. I do not wish to share my place with another person. Apart from that I'd say my lifestyle till now has been above average. I'm a regular smoker, drink, go out every weekends, hit the gym, and eat protein supplements, invest in good clothes and stuff. I understand I'm going to have to cut corners in some places untill I start earning more. Would appreciate your suggestions on how I can save money. Please feel free to ask me if you need any more details.

2024.06.05 19:53 NoelleisNotUni AITA for yelling at my mom for cleaning my room?

I came home today to find my room completely different from when I left. My mom cleaned it while I was working and it was much more organized than when I left. I know any normal person would be glad if their room was cleaned for them, but I have some special circumstances.
She used to verbally and emotionally abuse us as kids. Once a year she would go into our rooms and throw out at least a few trash bags of our belongings. I remember being forced to throw out beloved teddy bears, pokemon cards, and artwork because it was “too much clutter.”
Yes, she was one of the early pioneers of the minimalistic homeschool mothers trend.
Much of these memories are blocked out but sometimes the cleaning would take days as we scrubbed floors and rearranged furniture. And since we were homeschooled, we had nowhere to get away, and often this work would make us skip days of school. I would cry for days on end as she would be screaming at us about how filthy kids we were and this verbal abuse wouldn’t cease until she was satisfied.
I used to get very sick if I was cleaning/dusting without wearing a mask and doing heavy labor due to asthma so I’d be completely emotionally and physically wiped by the end of it. But I’d still have to always thank my mother for helping us clean our rooms and be forced by my father to apologize and tell her how great it looks.
All of this to say I’m traumatized by these experiences. I’m almost 21 now and will be moving out soon. She’s upset and confused that I’d want to leave her, but I can’t stand it anymore.
For the last year or so I’ve told my mom REPEATEDLY that I feel uncomfortable with her in my room and to tell me if she wants it clean to give me a chance to do it first. She’s never listened and says that I should be grateful for all she does.
I feel violated by this. I have autism, ADHD, and according to my psych, potential OCD. My mother knows this. So when she goes into my room and cleans it before I’m mentally prepared for her to do so, I can’t help but breakdown.
I get severe RSD for being judged on my cleanliness and for having my boundaries not respected. And I panic due to not being able to find things, it’s never that messy in my room, and her rearranging my bookshelf and closet and clothes makes me panic due to the lack of consistency that I require.
If I’m able to clean my room then I can do it in a way that’s friendly to me and my routine… vs being shocked and not knowing where stuff is or if it was thrown out. The flashbacks and autistic meltdowns I get when she does it are intense and hard to deal with.
She likely did it today to be nice but I’ve told her to stop and to ask me to clean it first, and if I don’t then she can do whatever she likes. I’ve been visibly distraught each time she’s done it. Today I yelled at her, called her a b*tch, and forced her out of my room as she was spilling water on my photos. I feel this is a violating me, my privacy, and my boundaries. AITA for being upset?

2024.06.05 19:52 bixquick33 Depressed 34 year old dealing with unsympathetic parents.

What I need advice on is should I tell my parents that living here is making me suicidal and I need a change? Or will this do nothing but create a further riff in our tenuous relationship?
I have struggled with depression since my teenage years and my parents have always said the usual we gave you a roof over your head, food, clothes you should be grateful stop whining.
I have a family of my own now and one thing I have always wanted to do is live on the other coast of the US. My partner and I told my parents we are going to move next summer and my parents will not stop telling me how stupid of idea it is. One thing is living where I live really really depresses me, I hate the city and state I live in, at this point it is visceral hate. I have been suicidal about it and my therapist agrees that I just need a change of scenery. My parents mainly are mad that they won't see their grandkids as much. Thanks for any help and advice.

2024.06.05 19:50 _BindersFullOfWomen_ Fiido C21 Urban E-Bike Review

Urban commuting has seen a revolution in recent years with the advent of electric bikes, and the E-Gravel C21 Electric Bike is at the forefront of this change. Designed specifically for daily commuters, this e-bike promises to deliver a blend of efficiency, comfort, and sustainability. After extensive testing, here’s a detailed look at how the C21 E-Bike performs.
Design and Build Quality
The first thing that stood out to me about the E-Gravel C21 E-Bike is its sleek design and powder coated finish. It looked like a bike that I’d want to purchase. The frame is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy, giving it a robust feel without being cumbersome or unnecessarily heavy. This is a great bonus as I have to carry it up and down stairs during my commute. The matte finish is stylish, full disclosure, I have a soft spot for matte finishes, so I may be biased.
The bike features a step-over frame design, which makes mounting and dismounting easy, which is much appreciated given the clothes I wear for my work. Fiido’s attention to detail is evident in the ergonomic grips and saddle, ensuring maximum comfort even on longer rides. While some riders may opt to replace the standard saddle with an aftermarket one, that’s not necessary. The integrated front and rear lights enhance safety and visibility during early morning or late evening commutes. Not all jurisdictions require bikes to have functioning lights, but I appreciate Fiido including them.
Performance and Range
At the heart of the C21 E-Bike is a powerful 250W brushless motor, capable of propelling riders up to 16 mph (25 kmph) with ease. The bike offers four levels of pedal assist, from ECO to Turbo+, allowing me to choose the amount of assistance I needed based on the day’s riding conditions. For those days when you’re running late, Turbo+ mode is the way to go as it provides an extra boost without needing to pedal.
The 208.8Wh battery is one of the standout features of this e-bike, offering an impressive range of up to 50 miles on a single charge, 60 if you’re willing to drop down to Eco Mode. This makes it ideal for commuting to work, running errands, or even weekend adventures without the constant worry of recharging.
Riding Experience
Riding the C21 E-Bike is a joy, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t really enjoy biking. The combination of the motor and battery provides smooth and consistent power without having to exert much effort, making uphill climbs and headwinds a non-issue. The 9-speed derailleur and gearing system allows for precise shifting from the tactile buttons mounted on the handlebar. The gearing system and built-in torque sensor makes it so at times I didn’t even realize I was pedaling.
Safety and Technology
Safety is a critical concern for commuters, and the C21 E-Bike doesn’t disappoint. The dual disc brakes provide reliable stopping power in all weather conditions. Additionally, the bike is equipped with a responsive LCD display that shows essential information such as speed, battery level, and distance traveled – even more information can be gleaned when you pair it with the Fiido Mate or the iOS app. This ensures that riders can monitor their trip and make informed decisions on the go.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
• Stylish and durable design
• Powerful motor with excellent range
• Cheaper than other e-bikes
• Comprehensive safety features
Cons:
• Slightly heavier than some competitors (39.6 pounds)
• Battery extender costs extra
Conclusion
The E-Gravel C21 Electric Bike is an exceptional choice for commuters looking to enhance (and ease) their daily rides. Its blend of power, comfort, and safety features makes it a reliable companion for navigating city streets. While it comes with a premium price tag, the investment is justified by the quality and performance it delivers. If you’re in the market for an e-bike that redefines commuting, the C21 E-Bike is well worth considering.

2024.06.05 19:48 CuriousNeighbor00001 June 3rd

We were in a neighborhood that was clean, no trash on the ground at all. Two maybe 3 of us had gone to the store to get something but we forgot something so had to go back. My friend’s mom wanted to come but we just wanted it to be a quick trip. She ended up coming anyway and now it took longer than necessary. The setting and people changed a bit. I turned into a white girl whose boyfriend was hanging out with some bad influences. He kinda OD while she was walking by and she seen that and left because he wanted to be left there. And the drug dealer was telling her “he wants to stay just leave” so she left. And the boyfriend got up and was just there. I had a dream that we were in a rich building kinda. Like a condo building. And something was starting. There were two giant stars, outline of stars filled with stars that formed in the night sky.
I think there was an auditory sound that set us to look at the sky. And I seen the big stars being formed. Also the boys (my sons) were sleeping and I was up with my older sister. I think my boyfriend and I wasnt talking so much because our relationship was rocky. So there was no other lights in the sky except the 2 stars filled with small stars. Then the big star on the right opened at the bottom and the small stars started falling out. And then I told my sister we have to go. We started panic packing food and clothes. And we woke up my youngest son to get him ready. Then the second star opened and the stars were being released at the same speed but it was quickly like that was a timer or something. Then we realized we didn’t wake my eldest son and he had shorts on but it was too late so we grabbed him awake and put a jacket on him and started out the door. As we were walking out I change characters again and I was an Asian woman I think and my boyfriend was a short black man and our 2 kids were still my children. So I went and pressed the elevator and there was a couple on and we got on in a rush. There was a family that had just pulled up when we did. Under other circumstances we would have given way to them but we were rushing out. So in the elevator i think I changed to a kid and ask the Asian woman (who was my mom) if she still had her fast car and she said yes. And the dad was like great and said something regarding them taking 2 separate cars. So we headed down to the car storage area and the mom rolled a shopping cart to the right to try to leave everyone behind and gotten stuck. And the dad went and sprinted to the left to try to get his car because he had the key or thought he did but he had gotten stuck. So in essence they both said F the kids basically. And I went to the mom first because I thought the dad was gone and she was saying something like just go with your dad. This is what I get for trying to to leave or something and when I looked back he couldn’t get the door to open. So somehow he ended up on the floor and the key was falling out of his pocket so we were kinda wrestling for the key on the ground. I declared “Lord whoever touches the key let them have a heart attack”. So the dad touched it and he had one for like 2 seconds then he dropped it and I said I am a child of God with the faith of a mustard seed, God will protect me then I grabbed the key and opened the door. Then out came bunk beds. So I told the boys to sit on it and the water will float us. So I put all of the bags on the bottom bunk and told them to hold on. Then the dad looked flabbergasted like “that’s your plan” type of surprised look and I said yes. Get on. I have faith in God. And the mom was feeling the same ways that the dad was feeling all throughout the dream but she either didn’t act fully on her emotions or she hid the intent. Like she too tried to leave the father and kids behind, and she too had a thought and started to attempt to get the key and she also disapproved of the bunk bed transportation but didn’t speak on it. And this dream I think there was a lot of water that was to be expected from whatever was coming. When all the stars ran out, it was dark for a while, like everything stood still. How long exactly, I don’t know.
