I'm new to discord, and I'm wondering what the best way is to keep track of points. I'm in charge of a club and I want to be able to track attendance and have members be able to keep track of their points throughout the semester. Also is there a way to somehow export that data to a spreadsheet? Thanks a lot! :)

Salam, I have a question. I am a new (but secret) and young revert. My family is Christian. Today in church, there was a special guest speaker, who was prophesying. She said some very vague, but still applicable things about some of the members in the church. Also in the service she was telling accounts of all these miracles. My question is: can Christians perform miracles? Or... Is it black magic or the influence of jinn? Or is the speaker telling lies? In any case, why does Allah let it happen?

Hi friends! I've made the slightly unhinged decision of sharing my ranking of all (well, close to all) the songs that were featured on Glee. This is part 8 out of... probably like, 50. Because Glee has a lot of songs. A LOT.
4 years ago, I also hosted a very extensive ranking where the sub got to participate in ranking the entire Glee soundtrack, and you can see the results here! Let me know if you guys want a redo of this, and I'll find a less consuming way to make this happen, because that ish was HARD.

Just a quick reminder of what I've had in mind while ranking these so you guys understand more: I scored them based on vocal performance, context of the show, how it compared to the original song and how much I liked the actual production/arrangement of the Glee version. So a song could be really good, but if it was used in a bad or cringy scene, it'll affect the score negatively or the other way around!
We are still in the good tier, which are songs that I think are good, but not great. They've made it just within my range of songs that I'm okay with.

GOOD TIER

564. Away In A Manger

Performed by Kitty Wilde, Kurt Hummel, Rachel Berry and Santana Lopez with New Directions.
Probably one of the less exciting Christmas songs that has been on the show, but they all sound great in it.

563. The Fox

Maybe someone here was wondering why they hadn't seen The Fox yet? Maybe it's controversial for me to put it in the 'good' tier and give it an above average score, but hear me out. First of all, I LOVE the original. It's so funny yet it's such a well-crafted EDM-pop song. Second of all, everyone in the Glee version sounds really good, and the song suits them all well. The only downfall that this version has is that they take this song a bit too seriously, which gives it the cringe factor. They treat it like it's a normal song, but it's not. It's a parody song created for a comedy show/a skit show. So them trying to pull it off as a serious song is kind of weird.

562. You Can't Stop The Beat

This had a lot of potential as it's one of my favorite songs from my favorite musical, and while they do a great job, it doesn't quite hit like the Hairspray movie version, which is my personal favorite.

This song is really cute, the performance/scene for this is so great and Brittany and Santana are adorable here with their matching outfits and hair bows. If they absolutely had to give Brittany a Whitney song, this was the perfect choice.

I wasn't very fond of this storyline, but I thought this particular scene was really cute. It's also pretty funny that they added a Madonna song to the Peter Pan play, and Maggie is really cute in this.

Anyway, very fun song, maybe a little too "adult contemporary" for a group of high school kids, but still good. I love group numbers where you get to see small interactions between the ND members and they're just all in a good mood and being friendly with each other. It's cute!

I didn't care for this song at all when season 5 aired, and also I was kind of tired of Rachel always pushing NYADA's and Carmen Tibideuax' limits, lmao. But context aside, this song is objectively great and Blainchel are definitely duet twin souls. Context of this scene is pulling the score down though because god how annoying are they?

Ever since Amber said that this song was the hardest song to do in Dreamgirls, I haven't stopped thinking about how she felt/reacted when she saw she was doing this with Chris. Like, I know they're best friends and all, but if MISS AMBER RILEY thinks this song is hard, how is Chris supposed to do it justice? Anyway, I can definitely tell that this song isn't quite made for Kurt, so because of that it kind of falls short. I do, however, love that Kurtcedes got a duet in season 5 - their friendship seemed so distant at the time, so it was so nice to see them together again.

Hi everyone!
I wanted to give another (more updated) quick welcome message to everyone who has joined recently, thank you! I’ve been in the process of some big life changes so I’ve had trouble updating this sub, but I finally have free time starting this week, so I plan to come in a lot more! Be sure to go over the rules when you get a chance. I don’t want this to turn into a “blockedbyjax” (no offense, I’m a member there too lol) where it’s all about bashing “fan favorites”, I really want this to be a place where the show is discussed with nuance… taking the layers of these people and aspects of production and filming into account. I've been playing fishing planet for awhile now. It's how I relax after a long day of work. I used to fish the congo and catch uniques till I filled my net spot after spot no issues. Now tho the bite rate has slowed down big time. I'm lucky I get one unique per trip. I thought it was just me but a few members in my club are having the same issue at other fishing spots. Has anyone else had this issue?

Throwaway account. Just received notice that I am placed in Academic Suspension. I did have circumstances that impacted my college experience, one being a death in the family and a freak accident that caused me to lose a semester. They have documentation of all of this information. I was kicked into a deep depression from the death of this family member that has not gotten better since freshman year when it happened, I face my own internal struggles and in this past semester I have tried attending C-Caps meetings to help with my depression.
I am writing all of this to ask what I can add in my appeal letter. For medical reasons, it says to list general medial reason, but I did want a chance to explain how my accident that left me with broken bones made it hard for me to do well in the following semester. I don't know how in depth I am allowed to go about all of that, and wanted some advice in general about the situation I am in.

Hi, I've had a search on here, though not had much luck finding posts either recent or specific to my query, so here goes:
I'm soon due to start lessons in a microlight (Comco Ikarus C42 if interested) to work towards my NPPL(M) licence in the UK, as a more cost effective way of getting in the air vs LAPL or PPL. (Regards cost, I have explored gliding though the nearest club is nearly a 2 hour round trip, and the time commitment to be a member feels too high with young kids at home.)
My budget will allow me for 1 to 2 lessons per month, or roughly every 3 weeks. I am in no rush and fully intend to enjoy the process, though would this be enough to make steady (even if only gradual) progress through the syllabus or will I find myself in a groundhog day scenario repeating the early stages again and again whilst I get reaquainted with the aircraft each time?

Hello all,
I have a long story that would fill the pages of a moderately sized novel regarding my situation, but I will keep it brief and cut to the chase.
I was in business with a family member, and the company was acquired for a large sum ($100 million+). Due to circumstances I regret putting myself into, I was not set up as a direct shareholder and instead am due to receive my portion of the buyout in the form of a personal gift (the reason for this was to avoid a dispute with other shareholders and to make my tax situation more favorable; I also felt that I could fully trust my family member).
Through twists and turns, the payment from the buyout has lagged on for many months due to supposed different circumstances that arose, but the monetary transfer was supposedly initiated several weeks ago. How long can banks hold onto large sums of money before actually releasing it? I'm worried that I've been getting repeatedly lied to throughout the process, and that I'm ultimately getting scammed.

Just a rant here on how pathetic my BIL is. My niece is asking me and my wife to her graduation next week because no one on her dad's side of the family has ever went to any event (due to distance) and we are the only ones who actual met her. My BIL told his ex wife that he couldn't go because he had to travel for work, which I found out from my wife that he doesn't even have a job at the moment because his contract expired. Then I see on FB, Him and the other BIL who don't see his kids, doing live videos at the club. Mind you these both BIls are late 30s and mid 40s.
It just blows my mind between both men, they have about 12-13 children combined, All different baby mamas (not even joking) and they choose to not be involved in any of their lives but have no problem chasing women 24/7
Idk if it's a Hispanic culture thing but my MIL will never call them out, the men in their family are never accountable for their actions.

I have a long story that would fill the pages of a moderately sized novel regarding my situation, but I will keep it brief and cut to the chase.
I was in business with a family member, and the company was acquired for a large sum ($100 million+). Due to circumstances I regret putting myself into, I was not set up as a direct shareholder and instead am due to receive my portion of the buyout in the form of a personal gift (the reason for this was to avoid a dispute with other shareholders and to make my tax situation more favorable; I also felt that I could fully trust my family member).

I converted from a mainline to an evangelical, nondenominational church several years ago because my mainline church seemed more interested in protesting Trump than preaching the gospel. They were lovely people but most weren’t Christian, a fact they’d casually drop. While I enjoy the theology of my evangelical church (though I still struggle with no women pastors, all male elder board and the stance on sexual issues), I wasn’t prepared for the total culture shock. I gather most of you have left the church, so I figure this sub would have some perspectives on my struggle to figure out whether I should just accept being an outsider , hope it gets better (or I assimilate) or just move on. How important is a church community relative to the doctrine being taught? Where have you exvangelicals landed? Anyone still a Christian and found a middle ground denomination?
Evangelicalism, as I have learned, is far more than a theology, it’s a world unto itself. I found Christ in a mainline church and it seems that I’m stained with suspicion. I’m still very much an outsider, a product of “false teaching” I’ve been told many times when I’m asked nearly constantly what church I used to attend. From the praise band’s saccharine Jesus-is-my-boyfriend bangers, to spiritual warfare talk, to the deep suspicion of public schools, it’s a subculture unto itself. Many folks talk about going out into “the world” to spread the gospel, but a lot of church members seemed to have sequestered themselves in wholly Christian communities where their social lives revolve around community groups, their kids go to Christian schools (if they don’t homeschool), and they seemingly consume Christian media like K-Love and the like. (I was also shocked to hear that some don't allow their kids to watch Harry Potter!) The cynical side of me sees these as a product of the church or perhaps cultural currency used to gain admittance to the club, rather than a "fruit of the spirit" if you will let me indulge.
I’m a product of a purely secular world. I believe in a separation of church and state, in a liberal democracy. I don’t believe in Christian nationalism. Women are equal, so male headship seems bananas to me. Sunday is the sabbath but my kids play sports - occasionally on Sundays - and it feels like I am very much in the minority of Evangelical world for letting this happen. Gay marriage is fine. Are there any theologically traditional churches that don’t have this mainline or evangelical baggage?

Might be a weird comparison, but you can really make the argument that every member of HOT has their own realistic and animalistic counterpart:
1. Yujiro Takahashi - Common Lizard
Reptiles are old, very old. Yujiro might be a little younger, but the point is that they've been around since the age of the dinosaurs. Back then, a small little lizard might have been special in a sense that it's surviving in a planet dominated by literal giants, but that poor creature was never going to prosper. That's basically the story of Yujiro's career - No Limit, CHAOS, Bullet Club or HOT, he has always been the most basic member. Moreover, the common lizard is the most widespread reptile on Earth anyway, which is in correlation with the fact that every wrestling stable, nay, every friend group has their own Yujiro - basic ass bitch.
2. Dick Togo - Chameleon
Being a chameleon is Dick's character anyway - commentary always points out how he's survived and thrived in the wrestling business for decades, by always maneuvering around and adopting new strategies. The art of deception is a chameleon's way of survival, and that's exactly what Dick's done his entire career. Furthermore, Dick influencing EVIL to turn heel from the shadows is the epitome of such behavior, and even his actual debut with the company mimics this - Dick took off a BUSHI mask to finally reveal his true identity.
3. Yoshinobu Kanemaru - Turtle
Much like Yujiro and Dick, Uncle Nobu is an aged heel (coincides with him being a turtle, as turtles are far more sneaky and twisted than people give them credit for) that is still kicking at a decent level despite his age. Much like a turtle, Nobu is adaptable - water, land, sand (Junior matches, Six Mans, Tags), both of these creatures have done it all. Yoshinobu is cold-blooded, kind of lazy, opportunistic, and minimalistic in a sense that his own brand of specialized water (whiskey) gives him serenity. Turtles are often met with question marks from people when they find out they're reptiles, which works perfectly for Nobu being in HOT, since going through a goth phase at 40+ years old is not a every-day occurrence.
4. SHO - Snake
The long-awaited R3K split saw SHO adapt a heavy snake-related theme in his clothing, gear, and even logo, which worked well with his new Goro Majima-esque lunatic persona. However, even in terms of appearance and personality, SHO fits magnificently. As the smallest member of the group, he is sinuous, dexterous, vindictive, cunning, and often head-scratching in his methods (like miscellaneously cheating and biting lower body parts eh?). Snakes are known to be colorful creatures (how many hair colors has this man had), that prefer smaller prey (Junior Heavyweights perhaps?), on top of having some strange physiological characteristics. Snakes don't have lips, so SHO's signature "mouth-covering" shocked face pose works flawlessly with that fact.
5. Ren Narita - Alligator
Nevermind the fact that Narita's mouthguard resembles gator teeth, the young personifies this devilish creature in several ways. Alligators, much like common lizards, have been around since powerful dinosaurs, so it's only natural that 'gators are their successors, modern counterparts that share some of their characteristics. We can tie this with the point of Narita being the spiritual successor of some of New Japan's most evil and devious wrestlers, like Masahiro Chono, Minoru Suzuki and EVIL himself, with the final two even formally mentoring Narita. Alligators are incredibly fast water creatures, and slow yet very agile on land, which correlates with Ren's wrestling style of being a mix of a rapid-fire technician, and a slow, methodical brawler. Finally, alligators are arguably the most intelligent reptile predator, that love to poach unsuspecting prey by using their tails to push themselves up, jump, and snatch you forever. Similarly, Ren's likely doing the same thing to the House itself very, very soon...
6. EVIL - Scorpion
And then there was EVIL. While not a reptile, that fact actually works well in relation with EVIL, and not just because both of them are nocturnal creatures. He's the only one in HOT that's never really changed, he's always been into the dark stuff, while all the others are just brainwashed cult followers. Like a scorpion, EVIL has used his poison to influence others, and create a small army of mini versions of him. EVIL is the largest, the most aggressive, and the most dangerous member, due to his experience and unnerving charisma, which is why The House is his... for now.
