stardew art project pt 2
i posted on here about a month ago asking for ideas for a final project i had to do in my art portfolio class, and i recently finished it so i thought i’d share! it’s not entirely game accurate, i just added a few things to make it more me! some context - i (was) a senior in my school’s highest art class, and our final project was to paint a stool that would stay there indefinitely, so i decided to make mine stardew themed :) (first picture is before resin was poured overtop, second pic is after)

Sometimes games may need to be canceled for real life issues, but that's just the way of it, isn't it? Additionally, this usually means there are 4 games on overage every month, each lasting anywhere from 3-4 hours. 2024.05.20 07:29 geta7_com What now?

Congrats M24! Here are answers to your remark, retake, and transcript questions. If you spot any errors please let me know.
CAS
CAS is graded only by your school, which must let IB know whether you completed CAS or not by Jun 1st.
Grade boundaries
Grade boundaries are determined after grading of exams, considering statistics/mark distribution, teachers' comments, and examiners' comments. So there is some safety net in place and your grade is only partially depended upon how others do.
Transcript and legalization
If a school or employer requests transcripts, let IB know by Jun 15th and check that you are correctly sending your transcripts to whoever needs them.
If IB results need to be legalized in your country, also let IB know by Jun 15th. Third party agencies may also offer similar services. Legalization sometimes requires photo id such as a passport.
If you want to change your name shown on your Diploma and transcript, such as to be consistent with your passport, let your coordinator know ASAP. It can only be changed before results release or after Jan 1, 2025.
Copyright
You own your work. Yet, IB retains a non-exclusive right to reproduce your work for training etc, often without identifying you. You can waive IB of their non-exclusive right by Jun 1st. It does not mean IB will return your marked papers (see category 2B EUR below), and your work will stay in their database of past IAs. Rather, claiming exclusive copyright is mostly for reclaiming your art or other valuable work.
You can always publish your work. Though be careful in posting your IAs or essays to platforms that may be perceived to facilitate academic dishonesty.
Results day
On Jul 6th, results will be available on candidates.ibo.org through staggered release from noon GMT every 15 minutes, based on your location. Your coordinators get them 24 hours in advance. Would be great if everyone refrained from refreshing twice every second.
On Jul 7th, component marks will be released to coordinators, who decide if they want to share with you or not.
Remark
There are several categories of enquiry upon results (EuR).
In Category 1, a more senior or consistent examiner checks over the existent grading. Some quality control exists in the form of "seed scripts" mixed with real remark papers. This is true for the original grading as well. If your grade is "much lower" than predicted, it may have been checked by senior examiners already.
A Category 1 remark cost about the same as an exam. It can be requested max once per subject. The new grade replaces your old grade, even if it goes down. If the grade out of 7 changes, you get a refund.
Under half of all remarks remain the same mark out of 100%. Most remarks come back within +/- 1%. Very few remarks come back outside of +/- 3%, though a tiny fraction of remarks see very big changes. Consider if you genuinely believe an examiner made a mistake or if you just want to give IB your (or your parents') money.
You can also request a category 2B (digital) return of materials by candidate, for about 15%-20% the cost of a Category 1 remark. Here you will see all your exam scripts for a subject along with marks awarded per question or per criterion. It allows you to review your work to make a more informed decision about remark, especially if you have a limited budget and can only remark one or two subjects. The number of comments you get depends on the grader and subject.
Other categories are irrelevant to students, or are only available after a category 1 remark. Your IAs can be re-moderated only if your class average dropped by 15% or more during moderation.
EuRs can be initiated until Sep 15th.
Retake
Unlike remarks which take the newer grade, retakes take the higher grade. Remark and retake are completely separate processes.
Nov 2024 (six-month) retakes must be registered by July 29th. Instead of waiting for your remark results, you can first register for retake then withdraw for full refund if you grade goes up. You cannot change your subjects, other than moving a 4th HL down to SL. Retaking 12 months or later does allow subject changes. There are various curriculum changes each May, which require new IAs. See https://ibo.org/university-admission/latest-curriculum-updates/
When the curriculum stays the same, you can carryover your non-exam components, such as IAs and Group 1 HL Essay. Otherwise, they must be rewritten on new topics. TOK essay retakes must be on the prompts for that session. Retaking EEs require new RPPF.
If you are an Anticipated candidate, ie taking rest of your exams in May 2025, you can opt to retake your anticipated subject(s) in May 2025, or change them to other subjects.
For other questions about IB, check out my IB FAQ page.

Police came here to apprehend my brother now we're evicted with 10 days to vacate the premises

Police came to my mothers to apprehend my brother due to violating probation. Like the tile says, management of the apartment complex says my mother is in breach of the lease. My mother is a disabled senior citizen who has always been up to date on rent, no other issues, this is her first occurrence. Also, management dropped a letter by that says again we have 10 days to vacate the premises but also that we are responsible to pay the rent for the remaining months on the lease (until October 2024). Keep in mind, this place is an out of state corporation, no one is ever at the management office, and all communication is via paper notices left at our door. This is in St. Louis, MO btw.
Is this legal? Do we have any recourse?

I recently had the pleasure of adding the Kyocera Revolution 5.5" Ceramic Santoku Knife in a stunning blue hue to my kitchen arsenal, and it has completely changed the game for me. The first thing I noticed was how perfectly balanced it felt in my hand, making it easy to maneuver and reducing fatigue during those endless chopping sessions.
One of the features that truly stood out to me was the ceramic blade, which reportedly stays sharp 10 times longer than steel blades. I've certainly noticed a difference – not only in the effortless slicing, dicing, and mincing of fruits and vegetables, but also in the seamless transition from chopping meats to finely chopping herbs.
The ergonomic handle offers a comfortable grip, adding to the overall ease of use, and the vivid color options provide a visual appeal that makes it stand out amongst my other kitchen tools. There's no denying that the Kyocera Revolution 5.5" Ceramic Santoku Knife is more than just a kitchen tool – it's an essential and beautiful addition to my daily culinary routine.

As someone who has been using the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife in my daily life, I must say that it has been a game changer. Its ergonomic handle feels comfortable in my hand, providing precise control as I slice through fruits, vegetables, and even some small meats.
What stood out to me the most is the ceramic blade's ability to stay sharp for an incredibly long time, way more than any steel blade I've ever used. It really makes a difference when I'm preparing my meals, as I don't have to spend time honing my knife skills and wasting precious time.
However, I must mention that the knife can be quite brittle, as the users in the reviews suggested. So it's essential to handle it with care, especially when storing it in a drawer. Also, it's not a great tool for cutting boneless meat or fish, as its blade isn't thin or agile enough.
But overall, I've been very pleased with the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife. It's perfect for any chef or home cook, and it has definitely improved my kitchen experience. Plus, it's quite light, which reduces fatigue during those repetitive cutting tasks. It's a worthwhile investment, provided you're attentive to its fragility.

🔗Rapala Ceramic Utility: Lightweight, Corrosion-Resistant Knife with Soft Grip Handle

https://preview.redd.it/7awxlegwmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ca5782b5c621e0fd607c3f93713b18c35ea348f
The Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife has been a game changer in my daily life. The super-sharp, super-tough ceramic blade is surprisingly lighter than I expected, making it a perfect companion when I'm on the move. What I loved the most was its resistance to corrosion – it's like it's indestructible! But the real icing on the cake was the molded soft grip handle. It felt incredibly comfortable to hold, and it made using the knife a pleasant experience.
One thing I noticed was that the compression sheath could be a bit tricky to use at first. It took some extra effort to make it hold tight for safe storage and transportation. However, once I figured it out, I appreciated the added security it provided.
Overall, the Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife 4 inch Black RCUKB4 has been a reliable and efficient tool in my daily routine. And with its sharpness, durability, and easy gripping handle, it's hard not to love it!

🔗Kyocera Ceramic Outdoor Camp Kitchen Knife and Sheath Set - Ideal for Camping, Hiking, and More

I've had the pleasure of using Kyocera's Ceramic Outdoor Camp Kitchen Knife and Sheath Set, and let me tell you, it has been quite the experience. The knife is perfect for my outdoor adventures, as it's durable, rust-proof, and resistant to germs and acids.
One of the most impressive features of this knife is its ultra-sharp, pure advanced ceramic blade. It's incredibly lightweight and easy to clean, which is exactly what I need when I'm out in the wild. And the ergonomic soft grip handle? It provides a comfortable, highly controlled grip, making it a pleasure to use.
The heavy nylon sheath with the Velcro strap is a nice addition, too. It keeps the knife safe and secure, and the belt loop makes it easy for me to access it whenever I need it. The fact that this product is made from Kyocera's proprietary zirconia material is an extra bonus, as it guarantees exceptional quality and beauty.
While this knife is ideal for camping, fishing, hiking, and picnics, I would avoid using it on hard foods or objects. But overall, I've been really happy with this set and would definitely recommend it to those who love spending time in the great outdoors.

🔗Ultra-Sharp Ceramic Paring Knife

https://preview.redd.it/vycayu2xmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2af656ee8be16264bfbb176ed1ac38f37606bb78
As a reviewer, I've been using this Kyocera Revolution ceramic 3-inch paring knife for a few weeks now, and I must say, it has been quite an experience. The knife is incredibly sharp, making it perfect for intricate tasks like trimming, peeling, and garnishing. Its lightweight design, combined with the ultra-sharp ceramic blades, makes it easy to maneuver and a joy to use in the kitchen.
However, I have encountered a minor drawback - the blade is much harder to sharpen than I'm used to, requiring a bit more patience and effort than steel knives I've used in the past. Nevertheless, I appreciate that ceramic blades maintain their edge up to 10 times longer than steel blades, and the fact that they won't brown food, rust, or be resistant to acids.
Overall, using this Kyocera 3-inch ceramic paring knife has been a great experience, and I've grown to love this new addition to my kitchen. Its sleek design, sharp blade, and ease of use have made it a staple in my daily cooking routine.

🔗Premium Ceramic Folding Pocket Razor Knife

https://preview.redd.it/d2tc04fxmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83c4287158146d82a335957abe896c28af1cd191
As someone who's always on the go, I found the SHOCFR Shomer-Tec Ceramic Folding Razor Knife to be an essential addition to my everyday carry. This little guy is so compact, fitting perfectly into my pockets without taking up too much space. The 1" black finish ceramic blade is surprisingly sharp, making it incredibly useful for various tasks like cutting rope or opening packages. I appreciate the sleek black synthetic handle, which feels sturdy and comfortable in my hand.
While I'm a big fan of this pocket knife, there were a couple of drawbacks. The first thing I noticed was how easily the blade would snap shut. It happened a few times when I accidentally pressed it against something hard. Furthermore, the fact that it's made in China makes me a bit skeptical about its long-term durability.
Overall, the SHOCFR Shomer-Tec Ceramic Folding Razor Knife was a handy tool to have with me. Its compact size and sharp blade made it perfect for everyday use. However, its low-quality materials and tendency to snap shut may be a deal-breaker for some potential buyers.

🔗Ultra-Durable Ceramic Utility Knife for Outdoor Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/j8ofygtxmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4e166123c54c848d130a7f06580b428fac9e2a4
I recently started using the Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife, and let me tell you, it's impressive. The blade is incredibly sharp right out of the box - twice as sharp as a steel blade, as advertised! And not only that, it stays sharp for much longer, thanks to its fantastic edge retention - 15 times better than steel.
As someone who frequently spends time outdoors, I love the lightweight and non-porous construction; it doesn't rust or corrode. Plus, the handle is a game-changer. The molded soft-grip design feels comfortable in my hand, even during long fishing trips.
The Open-Design Compression Sheath is a thoughtful addition too, ensuring safe storage and transport. The only downside I've noticed so far is that, while the knife itself is fantastic, the sheath that comes with it could use some improvement. Thankfully, it hasn't been a dealbreaker for me.
Overall, I highly recommend this Rapala Ceramic Utility Knife. Its features make it an excellent choice for cutting chores and fishing trips alike.

🔗Ceramic Pocket Knife: Stays Sharp 10 Times Longer for Precise Cutting

https://preview.redd.it/difwpk5ymi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71059ec74baa88a9481e6d34153e4b07e5f00b91
The Kyocera Revolution 4.5" Ceramic Utility Knife is a game-changer for those seeking precision in the kitchen. With a ceramic blade that's 50% harder than metal and 10 times sharper than average knives, this knife makes quick work of slicing through fruits, veggies, and boneless meats.
The slip-resistant, ergonomic handle is comfortable and reduces fatigue during extended cutting tasks. Best of all, the ceramic blade doesn't absorb food elements, requiring only a quick rinse for easy cleanup.
This knife truly earns its place in any kitchen, becoming a trusted go-to tool for home cooks and seasoned chefs alike.

🔗Precision-Cut Ceramic Chef Knife with Long-Lasting Sharpness

https://preview.redd.it/cwyhzzoymi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1960c16015d035f9f8718a078113639d7e20116e
I recently started using the Starfrit Ceramic Chef Knife and I must say, it's a game-changer in the kitchen. This 6-inch blade is incredibly sharp and stays that way up to 10 times longer than a steel blade, making cutting tasks a breeze. The ergonomic design of the knife, with its soft grip handle, is definitely a plus.
I found that this knife really stands out when it comes to cutting fruits, vegetables, and boneless meats. One time, I even used it for Thanksgiving, preparing an assortment of veggies for a big dinner, and it handled the task flawlessly. The smooth texture of the handle also allows for a comfortable grip.
However, I did notice a downside—the blade is incredibly sharp, which means you have to be very careful while handling it. It's also worth mentioning that these ceramic knives are not suitable for carving, boning, or any application that requires flexing or twisting. They should only be used with plastic or wooden cutting boards.
So far, I've been really happy with the Starfrit Ceramic Chef Knife, but I'm keeping an eye on the durability of the handle. I hope it holds up well, because I truly love using this knife in my daily life. If you're into ceramic knives, this one is definitely worth the investment.

🔗Premium Ceramic Utility Knife with Pakka Wood Handle

https://preview.redd.it/mpujyi0zmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=230e09a927356589c39b9ceb0bf3ee8eb1c2056d
As someone who's tried the Kyocera LTD Ceramic Utility Knife, I can say it's a game-changer in the world of cutting tools. When you finally hold this ceramic beauty in your hand, you can't help but admire its sleek, hand-crafted pakka wood handle and the exquisite blade it comes with.
During my daily food prep, I found this knife to be incredibly versatile, cutting through fruits, vegetables, and boneless meats like butter. The ceramic blade really does last significantly longer than steel blades and stays sharp for ages. Plus, it prevents any metallic taste or unwanted reactions with my food.
The pakkawood handle fits perfectly in my hand, making cuts effortless and ergonomic. The knife is surprisingly lightweight compared to steel models, reducing strain during long cutting activities. However, it's always wise to avoid hard surfaces like marble when using the knife.
It's important to remember to hand wash it after use and to keep it away from the dishwasher. Overall, the Kyocera LTD Ceramic Utility Knife has easily become a go-to tool in my kitchen, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, long-lasting cutting utensil.

🔗Kyocera Ceramic Knife Set: Santoku Knife and Peeler

https://preview.redd.it/0aq8x5nzmi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a01a2608c35930eaab31bc420910181c11977a52
As someone who loves to cook, I've had the pleasure of trying out the Kyocera Ceramic Blue knife and peeler set. I was immediately drawn to the unique blue handle, which not only looked stylish in my kitchen but also added a touch of elegance to my cooking process.
The Santoku knife, with its 14cm blade, was a delight to work with. Its ergonomic design allowed for a comfortable grip, and the ceramic material made it incredibly durable and easy to maintain. However, the peeler, with its 4cm blade, was a bit harder to work with. While it was efficient in removing the skin, it took a bit more effort to use than I anticipated.
Despite this minor drawback, the overall experience was fantastic. The Kyocera Ceramic Blue knife and peeler set has become a staple in my kitchen, and I've received countless compliments on its unique design and functionality. If you're looking for a versatile and stylish set of knives, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Kyocera Ceramic Utility Knife & Y-Peeler Set for Precise Cuts

https://preview.redd.it/1s48e420ni1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdef53df64a2c3fe74acb77e935262671c22a85c
Recently, I stumbled upon Kyocera's Ceramic Utility Knife & Y-Peeler Set, and I couldn't resist giving it a try. The set comes with two essential, sharp tools for the kitchen - a 4.5-inch utility knife and a Y-peeler. The utility knife features a ceramic blade made from Kyocera's proprietary zirconia material, a remarkable high-tech material known for its superior edge retention. The dense and smooth blade surface allows for absolutely precise cuts.
The Y-peeler, on the other hand, has a sharp, flexible ceramic blade with outstanding corrosion resistance. This makes it perfect for any repetitive peeling tasks, and it's no wonder I've been using it for various fruits and vegetables.
What stood out for me was the ergonomic handle and the ultra-lightweight design of the utility knife. This feature makes the knife incredibly easy to handle, even for extended periods. However, one downside I noticed is that the white ceramic blade tends to discolor over time, especially with certain food items. That aside, washing it immediately after use helps to minimize this issue.
In summary, Kyocera's Ceramic Utility Knife & Y-Peeler Set offers the perfect blend of sharpness, flexibility, and durability, making it an essential addition to any kitchen. While it may have some negative aspects, overall, it's a valuable investment for any food enthusiast.

🔗Lightweight and Durable Ceramic Pocket Knife for Comfortable Cutting

I recently tried the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife Red, and I must say, it's a game-changer in the kitchen. While the box only contains one item, the knife itself is an impressive piece of engineering. The ergonomics are top-notch, with a comfortable grip that makes the slicing process more controlled and enjoyable.
One key feature that stood out to me is the blade's incredible edge retention. It retains its sharpness ten times longer than steel knives, which is a massive plus for anyone who values the lasting quality of their tools. Moreover, I appreciate how the ceramic material provides a pure and healthy alternative to steel knives, as it doesn't transfer metal ions to food or corrode due to acids or oils. It also never rusts, which is a great bonus.
The Kyocera knife is incredibly lightweight, reducing fatigue when in use, especially during long cutting tasks. While the blade may be half the weight of an equivalent steel knife, it feels like an extension of your hand.
However, there's one downside to this knife—handle with care. The ceramic blade is prone to chipping if not handled correctly. Also, it might be a bit delicate to use for cutting large items or anything that requires a lot of force.
Overall, the Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Utility Knife Red is a well-made, easy-to-use tool that boasts impressive edge retention, a comfortable grip, and a visually appealing design. It's a worthy addition to any kitchen, and I can't wait to showcase its capabilities to my friends and family.

Buyer's Guide

A ceramic pocket knife is an essential tool that can come in handy for various outdoor activities, survival situations, and everyday tasks. With their durability, corrosion resistance, and sharpness, these knives have become increasingly popular among enthusiasts. In this buyer's guide, we'll discuss the important features, considerations, and general advice to help you choose the best ceramic pocket knife for your needs.

Materials and Construction

Ceramic pocket knives are made of high-quality ceramic blades and stainless steel handles. The blade material, Zirconium Oxide, is known for its hardness, sharpness, and resistance to corrosion. This makes the knife ideal for various cutting tasks, including slicing, chopping, and skinning. The stainless steel handle provides a comfortable grip and durability, while the pocket clip allows easy carrying.

Safety Features

Safety is essential when choosing a pocket knife. Look for ceramic pocket knives with locking mechanisms that secure the blade in place when not in use. This will prevent accidental openings and keep you safe from injuries. Additionally, check for slip-resistant handles to ensure a secure grip even in wet or slippery conditions.

Size and Portability

Consider the size and weight of the ceramic pocket knife when choosing one. A smaller and lighter knife is more convenient for everyday carry, while a larger knife may offer more cutting power. However, make sure the size is comfortable for you to handle and store in your pocket or backpack.

Ease of Maintenance

Ceramic pocket knives are easy to maintain and require minimal care. To keep your knife in top condition, clean it regularly and sharpen it with a honing stone or ceramic rod as needed. Also, store the knife in a protective case or sheath to prevent damage and ensure its longevity.

Brand Reputation and Reviews

When purchasing a ceramic pocket knife, always consider the reputation of the brand and the reviews from other users. A well-established brand with a long history of producing high-quality knives is likely to provide you with a reliable and durable product. Read reviews from other customers to understand their experiences and make an informed decision.

Ceramic pocket knives come in different price ranges, depending on the brand, size, and features. While it may be tempting to go for a cheaper option, consider investing in a higher-quality knife that will last longer and perform better. Be sure to set a budget and prioritize the features most important to you when making your purchase.
A ceramic pocket knife can be an excellent addition to your outdoor gear or everyday carry items. Look for one that offers durability, sharpness, ease of maintenance, and safety features. By considering these factors and following this buyer's guide, you'll be well-equipped to choose the best ceramic pocket knife for your needs.

FAQ

Are ceramic pocket knives durable?

Yes, ceramic pocket knives are known for their durability. Unlike traditional steel knives, ceramic blades are extremely hard and resistant to wear and tear. They also do not rust or corrode, making them ideal for outdoor use.

https://preview.redd.it/1rljezc5ni1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f42884d603f38ac9876934f5a891f83627a8412

What are the advantages of using a ceramic pocket knife?

  • Harder and sharper blades
  • Non-rusting and non-corrosive material
  • Lightweight and compact for easy portability
  • Longer edge retention compared to steel knives

Are ceramic pocket knives easy to use?

Yes, ceramic pocket knives are easy to use. They have a natural grip that allows for comfortable handling. Additionally, their lightweight design reduces strain on the hand during prolonged use. However, be cautious when cutting hard materials as they may become brittle due to the thinness of the blade.

Can I resharpen a ceramic pocket knife?

While ceramic pocket knives are not designed for resharpening like steel knives, there are specialized sharpening tools available specifically for ceramic blades. However, the process may be challenging and the blade's lifespan will still be limited. In most cases, it's more cost-effective to simply replace the blade when it becomes dull.

Do ceramic pocket knives require any special care?

Yes, ceramic pocket knives require special care. They should be handled with utmost care to avoid chipping or cracking the blade. Additionally, they should be kept dry to prevent any moisture from seeping into the knife, which could lead to damage. Storing them in a protective case is also recommended to avoid accidental scratches or damage.

Are there any downsides to using a ceramic pocket knife?

  • Brittle blades when cutting hard materials
  • Cannot be resharpened like steel knives
  • May require specialized sharpening tools
  • Higher cost compared to traditional steel pocket knives

How do I keep my ceramic pocket knife safe?

A protective case is the best way to keep your ceramic pocket knife safe. This will prevent any accidental damage from occurring due to the blade's brittleness. Additionally, make sure to store your knife in a dry location and avoid exposing it to water or extreme temperature changes.

2024.05.20 07:13 Limp_Being9311 How to enter mutual fund investments

I'm 40 , male . First gen investor and debt free life . Living in family house , no rent no EMI.
Currently invested only in direct equity and rbi bonds.
Direct equity investment : portfolio current : 27L ( 86.4% over 7 years )
Short term 91 day t bill : 25 lakhs . ( im looking to buy commercial property, need the down payment)
Gold : 20 lakhs ( im building up this segment for my daughter , so that we don't have to make big ticket purchases during her marriage ) this segment is off limits .
Due to work pressures , im unable to do the extent of fundamental analysis and make timely investment decision. I am risk averse , need to beat fd and inflation I am not running behind multi baggers or such . I found it difficult to allow someone else to make money decisions over hard earned money. I'm looking at a sustainable growth of 15-20% annually. ( 8-13% , if we consider 7% inflation also)
I have had a good learning Curve. I think it is time to delegate some of the groundwork to a MF.
TO ALL SENIORS :
  1. What are the methods to evaluate a mutual fund ?
  2. What is the fixed outgo for every 100 rupees invested by way of charges ?
  3. How to evaluate the fund performance over short and long term ?
  4. Im very particular about governance stories of each individual stock I own . Similarly What are red flags in a MF ?
Is it really this hard to allow someone else to handle your money ? Please explain.

2024.05.20 07:13 lucky_719 Passed AT/AT/B in one month. Took online. Total spent $584.

My actual study time was really closer to two weeks because I took a few weeks off to travel and be distracted. (Recently laid off) I spent 4 hours in the hospital the day before the exam with excruciating back pain. Sitting for so long testing with that level of pain was one of the more miserable things I've done, but I wanted to get it over with. I had 30 minutes left to spare and took a 5 minute and 8 minute break.
I spent a total of $584, exam was $425 with membership. Membership was $159. I did not pay for the local charter. I did not pay for any study materials.
I did take the exam online. I know in person is recommended and I expected to do it that way but the earliest date available was mid June and I wasn't waiting 4 weeks to take it. I barred my husband from the room and from making any noise at all. He was good about keeping the cats away from the door. I cleaned everything out of the bedroom that I possibly could. I used a laptop but used an Ethernet cable for Internet. I set my laptop up on a clear plastic tote so it would be eye level. I paid a lot of attention during the exam to ensure I only looked at the screen and didn't go out of view even for a second. I drew all of my blinds and curtains closed. I kept water and some light snacks in my bathroom (separate room) in case I needed it during breaks. The proctor never interacted with me. Not once. It was a bit unnerving but extremely smooth process and I'm grateful as I had a lot of anxiety around testing online. The worst part was having to wait 25 hours and 38 minutes (who is counting?) after the test had ended for my results.
Background: I have severe ADHD but I am a very good test taker. I'm one of those sick people that finds these things fun. I have passed the financial licensing exams series 7, 63, and 66. If you are familiar with them, the series exams had more content to learn, but the PMP questions were very similar in structure and difficulty to the 63 and 66. Overall I thought the PMP was easier but I had less professional experience when I took the series exams. I took a lot of AP exams back in high school. I'd say this test was harder question wise than any of those but again, less content to cover. I'm a senior scrum master for tech teams with years of experience. I've never worked as a formal project manager in waterfall but I am extremely good at what I do. I mentor many other scrum masters and know agile inside and out. I didn't study for the agile part of the test at all. I took about 60 agile practice questions for reassurance and amusement but only got three wrong so figured I was good. I also have a bachelor's degree in business (years ago) so a good chunk was just a refresher.
I didn't spend any money on materials so here's what I did to study.
I started with Oliver Lehmann's free exam. I do think it was harder than the PMP but I wanted to get a baseline before doing anything. I reviewed all of the questions afterwards and wrote down the topics I really needed to focus on. I scored a 68% the first time through.
I started reading the PMBOK guide you get when you pay for the exam. I downloaded it on my Kindle and would read it when I had the attention span to do so. I read the first 50% of the entire PDF they give you but wish I would've started halfway through as it probably would have been more useful for me. It was taking too long and I was getting antsy so I stopped reading it.
When I didn't have the attention span to read, I binge watched David McLachlan's YouTube videos. I went through the 7th edition PMBOK video three times. First for content, second to check any weaknesses, third to review. I also cast the questions to my TV screen and would pause the question before he read it, answer it myself, then watch him go through it. If I saw any videos of areas of weakness he posted I'd go through them. I went through 60 of his agile questions but the rest of the time I was going through the waterfall ones. I can't give you a count. It was a lot. I did the larger question videos too. This helped the most out of anything I did.
I borrowed a lot of exam prep materials from the library but didn't end up opening any of them at all.
Finally I used this subreddit. Whenever I saw someone post a question they didn't know I'd go through it. So thank you all! I paid a lot of attention to what others were using and what I knew would work for me. I also had a friend who took it a few days before me and we would send each other practice questions or talk about it almost daily. It helped keep me accountable and motivated even when I started slacking off.
Maybe I was over confident but I did get sick of studying and just scheduled the exam for a few days later. I didn't feel 100% prepared but I did feel like I was solid enough to have a good chance of passing. Clearly I should have studied more on the business environments part lol.
Good luck to you all! It really is a beast of a test and frankly I never want to do that again.

🔗Kyocera Ceramic Outdoor Camp Kitchen Knife and Sheath Set - Ideal for Camping, Hiking, and More

https://preview.redd.it/x052eqloli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75e1e73579f6e5a4c0a3b799da4aa8b119d34fb1

🔗Premium Ceramic Folding Pocket Razor Knife

https://preview.redd.it/3g9tsyyoli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccdde130f45bdc3f90be09078ff81fb2afa54dba

🔗Ultra-Durable Ceramic Utility Knife for Outdoor Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/k5w9qcfpli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4724053c3444336d894dc589cf6d43747f06e576

🔗Premium Ceramic Utility Knife with Pakka Wood Handle

https://preview.redd.it/nih4f22qli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75b65cf7f2b77fd9d9164f8799da05551b7f6568

🔗Premium Ceramic Paring and Santoku Knife Set

https://preview.redd.it/jrmw75brli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5160d217ea13119cf90d1c61344d551e857e79a
Last week, I decided to try out Kyocera's ceramic knife set for a weekend of cooking and entertaining. I was immediately drawn to the sleek and elegant design of the dual ABS handles in black. The contrast against the gleaming ceramic blades made this set stand out in my utensil drawer. As I pulled them out for the first time, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and apprehension. How would these knives perform compared to my trusty stainless steel counterparts?
The next step was putting these knives through their paces. I used the Santoku knife to slice through fresh fruits and vegetables, and the smaller paring knife proved invaluable when it came to peeling and seeding the berries and cucumbers. I was thrilled to discover that their razor-sharp edge made chopping and mincing effortless, and it held up remarkably well when I tested it on harder produce.
One of the most notable features of these knives is their exceptional sharpness and long-lasting edge retention. In fact, I found myself reaching for these ceramic knives more often than my usual set over the weekend. Their lightweight design also made tasks like stirring soups and cutting meats a lot easier on my hands.
However, there was a minor downside that I encountered during the weekend. While these knives are remarkably sturdy, I did manage to chip one of the blades accidently when I used the Santoku for deboning a whole chicken. While this wasn't a deal-breaker for me, I realized that it could be a concern for users who might be more sensitive to such issues in their kitchenware.
Overall, this Kyocera ceramic knife set has become an essential component of my cooking routine. Though some may view the brand's design as somewhat understated, the practicality and exceptional sharpness more than compensate. If you're looking to elevate your culinary experiences, I can't recommend these knives enough. Just remember, they're sharper than they look!

As someone who's used this Farberware Ceramic Utility Knife in my daily life, I can attest to its vibrant red handle and its practicality in the kitchen. The ceramic blade is a game-changer, proving itself to be more durable than stainless steel and maintaining its razor-sharpness for much longer. The ergonomic handle, made from a soft touch material, is comfortable in hand during long cutting sessions.
I'd like to mention that the blade cover ensures safe storage, a feature that's often overlooked but truly appreciated. One downside, however, is that this knife, while lovely, is not suitable for all cutting tasks, such as frozen foods or hard cheeses, and requires careful handling when cleaning or storing. Overall, it's a colorful, functional addition to any kitchen.

🔗Ergonomic Ceramic Folding Knife for Effortless Cutting

I've been using this Ceramic Knife with the soft red handle for a while now, and the first thing that stood out to me was how effortlessly it cuts through fruits and veggies. The ceramic blade is seriously sharp and stays that way for an impressive amount of time, which is a game-changer compared to traditional metal knives.
The handle feels incredible in my hand - it's lightweight, ergonomically designed, and provides a perfect balance for a comfortable cutting experience. I also appreciate the added safety feature of the knife coming with a protective sheath.
On the downside, while the ceramic blade is stainless, odorless, and won't rust or corrode, the protective sheath might not stay on as securely as I'd like it to. But overall, this knife has made my daily cutting tasks so much easier and more enjoyable. Plus, it's a great addition to anyone's kitchen who wants to promote healthy living.

Buyer's Guide

A ceramic folding knife is a versatile and practical tool for any outdoor enthusiast or kitchen chef. These knives offer a combination of durability, sharpness, and portability that makes them a great addition to your collection. In this buyer's guide, we will discuss the essential features to consider when purchasing a ceramic folding knife and provide general advice to help you make an informed decision.

Material

Ceramic is a popular material for folding knives due to its hardness, sharpness, and resistance to corrosion. Look for a ceramic blade that is made from high-quality zirconium oxide, which is known for its durability and edge retention. The handle can be made of various materials like stainless steel, G10, or titanium-carbon, so choose one that is comfortable to hold and offers a good grip.

Blade Shape and Size

Ceramic folding knives come in various blade shapes and sizes, such as drop-point, clip-point, spear-point, and more. Choose a shape that suits your purposes, whether it's for slicing, piercing, or chopping. The size of the blade also matters; larger blades are better for heavy-duty tasks, while smaller ones are more suitable for everyday use and portability.

Locking Mechanism

A secure locking mechanism is crucial for the safety and functionality of a folding knife. Look for a knife with a reliable locking system, such as liner locks, frame locks, or locking bolts. Ensure the locking mechanism is easy to use, yet strong enough to prevent the blade from accidentally opening or closing while in use.

https://preview.redd.it/4fu0ji7wli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=458511a6afe4555387b7603026f14341fcf58a2c

Maintenance

Proper maintenance is essential to prolong the life of your ceramic folding knife. Regularly clean the blade and handle, and apply a blade protector to prevent oxidation. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they can damage the ceramic and handles. Store your knife in a protective sheath or case to keep it safe when not in use.

Additional Features

Consider additional features that can enhance your overall experience with a ceramic folding knife. Some options include blade designs with an serrated or partially serrated edge for greater versatility, a pocket clip for easy carrying, or a built-in belt loop for added convenience. Research various models to find a knife that best suits your specific needs and preferences.

Durability and Warranty

https://preview.redd.it/kic2j2mwli1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e209900bb586d8a8ab3b26201d1a1774e38af0f3
Durability is a vital factor when selecting a ceramic folding knife. Look for a knife with a track record of long-lasting performance and solid construction. A reputable brand typically offers a warranty to ensure customer satisfaction, so consider a brand's warranty terms and customer support before making your purchase.

Budget

Determine your budget before shopping for a ceramic folding knife. High-quality knives can be quite expensive, but they may offer better value in the long run with their durability and performance. Consider the features and brand reputation when setting your budget to ensure you get the best knife for your money.
A ceramic folding knife is an excellent investment for anyone who values durability, sharpness, and versatility in their cutting tools. By considering the features and aspects outlined in this buyer's guide, you can find a ceramic folding knife that suits your needs and preferences, ensuring you make a purchase that is both practical and long-lasting.

2024.05.20 07:11 StressOriginal5526 Am I the only one who had more fun junior year than senior year?

Maybe I'm just a lame person, but senior year has just felt like this huge slog. Everyone hypes it up as the best year of high school, but it just feels like the last obstacle you have to face before you're free. You have to do so much work with the constant worry of not graduating looming over your head. You can't wait to get out, but you're sick and tired of doing all the work. You want it to be over with already. Don't get me wrong, junior year wasn't exactly a walk in the park itself, but it just feels like the last year you can be a dumb teenager and do stupid shit. I hung out with friends way more often, and was actually involved with more stuff. Did I just do it backwards, or does anyone agree with me?

Navigating the myriad options for bathroom sinks and finding the best bathroom vanities with ample storage space can be an intricate endeavor. We are committed to simplifying this process for you. Join us as we explore the top 10 bathroom sinks of 2023, shedding light on their distinguishing features, exceptional advantages, and market-leading attributes. Together, let’s identify the sink that flawlessly marries elegance and utility for your living environment.

What is the Best Bathroom Sink?

The ideal bathroom sink is a complex interplay of personal taste, spatial limitations, and design objectives. However, there are universally recognized qualities that contribute to a superior bathroom sink.

Ease of Maintenance

Effective household management necessitates reducing the time allocated for bathroom sink maintenance. Premium sinks are designed for low maintenance, featuring stain-resistant properties and ease of cleaning. Materials like solid surfaces are advantageous due to their smooth surfaces that effectively repel common bathroom stains.

Diversity in Sizes and Styles

A one-size-fits-all approach is impractical when it comes to bathroom sinks. Your choice will be influenced by spatial considerations and aesthetic preferences. Below are some standard sink dimensions:

Sink Type Size (in inches)
Drop-in Sinks 20-24
Undermount Sinks 19-22
Above-counter Sinks 15-20
Cabinet Sinks 24-48
Freestanding Sinks 18-30
Wall-hung Sinks 20-24

Drop-in Sinks

Commonly known as top-mounted sinks, drop-in sinks are favored for their straightforward installation process. These sinks are inserted into a pre-cut hole in the countertop, with the rim sitting above it. This configuration offers a contemporary look and serves as a practical solution for settings that prioritize both aesthetics and utility.

Undermount Sinks

Undermount sinks are affixed beneath the countertop, delivering a streamlined and modern appearance. Preferred for minimalist settings, the lack of a rim simplifies cleaning and eliminates the possibility of debris accumulation.

Above-counter Sinks

Also referred to as vessel sinks, above-counter sinks are positioned entirely atop the countertop, serving as a striking design element. Available in a variety of materials like solid surface, ceramic, or copper, these sinks offer businesses an opportunity to make a visual impact.

Cabinet Sinks

Combining storage and sink into a unified structure, cabinet sinks are perfect for those requiring additional storage for toiletries and other essentials. These sinks often come with soft-close drawers and are crafted from diverse materials such as hardwood, engineered wood, teak, and plywood, delivering both functionality and style.

Freestanding Sinks

Freestanding sinks, including freestanding vanities, stand independently, not requiring a countertop or vanity for support. These sinks are particularly well-suited for spacious environments aiming for a refined aesthetic. Made from high-quality materials like solid surface or porcelain, are both durable and low-maintenance. Their design flexibility allows them to serve as eye-catching focal points when complemented with stylish faucets.

Wall-hung Sinks

Wall-hung sinks, sometimes referred to as wall-mounted sinks, are designed to maximize floor space in compact bathrooms or powder rooms. They are directly mounted to the wall, often featuring built-in faucet holes and a small ledge for storing toiletries. Crafted from robust materials like solid surface or stainless steel, wall-mount sinks ensure lasting performance.

Multifunction Design

The quintessential bathroom sink should surpass mere washing capabilities. It should epitomize a fusion of convenience and advanced utility, taking into consideration the available space in the bathroom. Features such as integrated storage solutions and adaptable faucet hole configurations are essential to cater to a broad spectrum of plumbing prerequisites. The strategic inclusion of overflow drains is indispensable to counteract potential water spillage. During the selection phase, it’s paramount to juxtapose these functional nuances with sophisticated aesthetics. Facets like soft-close drawers and innovative shelving solutions augment the sink’s multifaceted utility. It’s also vital to appraise the spatial dynamics of the bathroom to ensure an impeccable integration.

Superior Materials

The material pedigree of a bathroom sink is instrumental in ascertaining its enduring appeal and resilience. Options span from the perennial sophistication of porcelain to the stalwart resilience of stainless steel and copper. It becomes imperative to select a sink that is impervious to stains, adept at handling thermal variances from hot water, and exhibits unwavering durability over extended periods. Whether one’s inclination is towards a cutting-edge solid surface sink or a vintage wooden basin, the chosen piece should resonate with both utilitarian needs and refined aesthetic inclinations. Such a choice guarantees a harmonious amalgamation with the overarching bathroom decor while ensuring a lot of storage for quintessential items at an affordable price point.

Solid Surface Bathroom Sinks

Dive into the realm of solid surface bathroom sinks, a pinnacle of modern bathroom design. These sinks are meticulously crafted from a unique blend of high-grade resins and aluminum hydroxide powder. This combination results in a pristine, pore-free surface that marries aesthetic charm with functional utility. Notably, the use of premium isophthalic resin ensures the sink remains resistant to yellowing over its lifespan.

2024.05.20 07:06 Historical_Rip_324 extremely burned out from working, health deteriorating

I (18m) work 40+ hours a week of heavy physical labor as a metal fabricator. When I was 16 I completed duel enrollment and got welding certifications at a technical school. Because of this, I did not have any classes my senior year of HS and started working full time.
Now, a year later, I dont think I can do it anymore. People weren’t joking when they said this economy is bad. I live in a literal traphouse with fentanyl addicts because its all i can afford. I work what is supposed to be a high paying job but still live paycheck to paycheck. From rent, groceries, girlfriend, and bills, I am left with very little money each month.
I have no time for myself, and breathe in heavy metals all day. I can feel myself worsening in physical and mental health.
I cant quit my job because obviously I will be broke and homeless Lol.
I feel stuck in an inescapable cycle. I am a good entrepreneur but have no time to work on starting my own business. I am literally just stuck.
When i was younger i trapped, but i got in too deep with a lot of big players and it resulted in some close calls. I was making shitloads of money and had so much time to be free and enjoy life, but my girlfriend says she will break up with me if i go back into that lifestyle, which is understandable.
I genuinely think i will take my chances and start hitting licks. I will probably die young either way and might as well gamble for a shot at a better life.
what do yall think i should do?

My son [19M] filed harassment charges against me and my husband because we were making him go to college

Me and my son moved to US last year. I was a single mom for 16 yrs before I met and then married my husband. I saved up money so he can go to college. Where I came from, college is very important. We moved to a small town and my son found new friends. These friends in my opinion were not a good influence. I am used to polite and academically oriented kids back home. These new friends of his make fun of his books and his plans of going to college.
Before his HS graduation, me and my husband took him to several unis in the state so he could get a feel for which one he would like to go to. Then after he graduated from HS, I told him I have about $20k saved up for college. He said it is not going to fit because tuition is pretty expensive nowadays. I suggested he can just go to a community college 20 mins away and live at home to save money. He agreed and I gave him access to the fund (joint account).
Long story short, he did not enroll himself and instead started partying a lot and used the money on expensive dates with his gf. He moved out and stopped talking to me. I worked hard to save that up for more than a decade and I am upset that he wasted it in less than a year. Me and my husband went to his place and asked that he pay me back since it is specifically for college and not "fun money".
He called the police and filed harassment charges. I told the police to review the cctv footage because the whole time I was talking to him through his ring cam, I was calm and reasonable and my husband was just standing behind me not saying anything. I was outside the door talking, he never even opened the door to talk to me face to face. The police said there's nothing he can do if my son and his gf felt "harassed", he can file a restraining order if he wants to.
Back home, this is unforgivable to treat your parent like this. But here in US, I was treated almost like a criminal. My sister in law said it is my fault for confronting him and that the money is his to spend since I made him a joint account owner. Am I wrong?
Edit: People cursing me because I said something about wanting to throw my chancla on my son's face, to be clear I have never laid my hands or my flip flops on him ever. But after what he did, my intrusive thoughts wants me to throw it but of course I won't. If he called the cops on me just because I want to talk to him, what more if I threw my flip flops on his face??
His relationship with me before moving to US was fine. He knew my struggle as a single mom and he always try to help me around the house. I was not strict at all he was free to go out with friends anytime. He was even thrilled to have a father figure and my husband always try to make him feel included in everything.

Lesson learned never give someone access to money unless you’re ok with them running away with it
OOP: He was a good boy before moving here. I thought he knew my struggles and how much I sacrificed to save money. I just thought he would never betray me like this.

Honestly I think a lot of parents don’t realize the depth of their children and forget that just because you think of them as one way doesn’t mean they don’t have other layers that can make them a different person. Sadly your son has found some less than savory friends to surround himself with and now he has to live with the decision he made. I honestly wouldn’t offer help for university again and would leave communication up to him. Also has there been any questions or discussion of potential drug use??

The money is gone. And since he was a joint account holder and a legal adult, there’s nothing to be done except refuse to help him financially anymore. Let him figure it out on his own from now on. The friends he had will likely drift away now that he no longer has a fat bank account to fund their party lifestyle.

Treacle_Moon
Her biggest fault is waiting till it was all gone to do something about it. She had joint access. She could have stepped in long before now and tried to deal with it. Too little too late unfortunately.

Update - 12 days later

I still have not heard from my son and I don't expect him to reach out. But his gf's mother has called me asking if my house is still open to him. I asked her why, it turns out he hasn't paid his share of the last month's rent and his gf had to pay it for him.
I said it is not my problem and he is not welcome anymore in my house since he is an adult. The gf's mom said "what kind of mother would not extend help to his teenage son?". She further insulted me and said now she knows why he left me.
At this point I really don't care anymore. I tried to help him get a good start in life but he wasted it. Aside from the $20k, he lived rent free in the house, free food, free phone, car, gas money, and I pay all the utility bills and his health insurance. All I asked is that he focus on his studies. Finish at least an associate's degree so he can get a decent job and be fully independent from me asap.
For some who asked why college is so important to me, as an immigrant, we are held under certain standards. We have to prove to USCIS that we will not become a public charge -- meaning we won't rely on any government aid. I want him to be able to be a good immigrant and become productive. I don't even know if he can become a citizen if he makes below poverty income. I was just trying to make sure he gets to live a good life.
Some of you asked if he even wanted go to to college. Back when we were in our home country, he begged me to pls send him to college no matter what.
P.S. The harassment charge was closed for lack of evidence of harassment, a lot of what he said were lies.
Edit: Another thing that gave me chills was when he moved out it was the middle of the night and me and my husband were both asleep. My son left the front door hanging open (I saw it in the camera). We live in a small town but there's a lot of crime in our area, someone could have gone in and done something bad.

Some people just have to learn the hard way, his gf probably had a good time with him spending his college fund now 5hat it’s gone the fun is over. So comes the reality.

PoliteCanadian2
So you’re saying this is the Find Out stage that follows the Fuck Around stage?

Sharp_Mathematician6
Yep

SnooWords4839
His GF's mom has no right to bitch you out. Your son left, spend his college fund and now has to figure out how to adult. You do not owe him anything at this point.

ladyalcove
She's just calling her out because she's realizing that now she has to take care of this bum.

butterfly-garden
Yup. She, too, is in the Find Out stage.

** New Update*\*

Update 2 - 8 days later

His girlfriend's mom called me again today and basically handed the phone to my son to "sort it out between us". I let him just talk and tell me what is on his mind. Here's a summary of his point of view:
So basically he felt deprived as a kid and that he thinks he was just healing his inner child when he spent the money. He said his friends told him I owe that to him for bringing him to this world. He thinks that I should not have a child if I can't afford these things.
I asked him why he left the door open that night. He went silent for a few seconds then said "I just thought that if the house get robbed, I could just say I cashed the money from the bank and the robbers must have found it". Unbelievable.
At this point I was so emotional and I was a crying mess. I told him I am deeply sorry that I was his mom and that he had to grow up feeling deprived because I was poor. Then he said "Oh stop with your guilt tripping, you are saying that to make me feel bad.
Oh and he also said he hates it when I do this. I don't yell like that lady but I pretty much bug him to get up and help me set the table. I never get a response so I had to raise my voice higher. He said I was so rude. But he grew up with this. This is me being me. All moms back home do this. Al of a sudden he is comparing me to his mom's friends. In our culture we want food to be eaten while it is fresh from the stove. I spent 1 hr cooking after a long day at work, the least you can do is help me set the table and eat my food while it's nice and warm.
I hung up. My heart is broken in so much pieces. Am I wrong?

He has a chip on both shoulders. Leave him be. It's despicable he left the door open so you were vulnerable to burglars. Absolutely no consideration for your safety at all.

Mtndrums
Dude's a spoiled brat, and an idiot to not see his "friends" were using him. You need to cut him off and let him figure things out.
dublos
Not spoiled. Mom could not spoil him.
Entitled.
This child believes he's entitled to the same things his friends grew up with, even though his parents provided the best they could provide.
u/MentalPlatypus5193 your son has made his bed. Let him sleep in it.
