2024.05.18 20:48 Youey Need help picking out compact tractor
Hi, first time buyer of a tractor,( not new to machinery) I need some help choosing the correct one for what we have. Please have 6 acres of pastures all grass. Right now I mow the perimeter with a ride on to get by. I stopped by a local kubota dealer and he suggested a L3902 or a 2602 which was smaller. 3902 was 31 and change and the 26 was around 23. All plus dock fees tax etc. plus their insurance which I don’t mind considering what it covers. So all in a 42k with mower deck for 3902 and 31k for 2602. I have not looked at other brands in person. I liked the sales guy very upfront and didn’t seem to try and sell me something I didn’t need. They currently offer 0% for 84 months which is nice. My concerns are the 2602 isn’t enough for what I need, but paying 10k more for the 3902, do I really need it? Are other brands going to be less but am I sacrificing quality? I work on my own stuff so I know JD isn’t what I want. So if you had the choice what brand and model would you choose to get the job done. This is all flat land.

 | These are the inside rear tires on a loader tractor. It has duals on 95% of the time. This is only the left side tire as you're looking from the back of the tractor. Both sides have 1800lb weights inside the rim. This tractor sees a lot of road travel on back roads with a crown in the middle of the road. 2024.05.18 04:28 066logger Pto generator was a success so far!
 | Well, after much debate and research I pulled the trigger on a 25kw katolight pto generator to run my planer. I just got it home tonight and had just a few minutes of light to hook it up, test the voltage and Hz and rig up a cord for the planer. Everything checks out good and the tractor does definitely feel when I start the 5hp planer motor but it immediately recovers and all seems to be working as it should. Only ran a couple of 2x4’s through but it didn’t even know they were there. Kubota l4600 just for people searching this in the future. I’m certainly not done with testing this setup and I still have a 5hp blower and two 3.5hp routers to power but so far I feel like I’m headed in the right direction. The generator is rated to 75kw surge (I know my tractor will be doing good to get into the 30’s at 38pto hp). My new part of this project is building a small service box that I can setup with the 5 different outlets I will need in 120 and 240v. The generator came with 100’ of very heavy welding cable didn’t look at the gauge but close to thumb diameter so I will have to land it on a proper bus bar and setup some breakers I think will be simplest. I have a small Kubota G1700 lawn tractor, with a hydrostatic cutting deck. Engaging the cutting deck will cut the engine if it s already been running a while (40min)
I wonder if the problem is overheating, I’m looking to replace the radiator. I can’t find an exact match. Are radiators universal? If I can find one that matches the dimensions will I be able to fit it without too much hassle?
Or is there so much more I don’t know that I should leave it.
The machine doesn’t owe me anything, it’s got over 2900 hours on it. But I’d rather try and keep it going than buy a new machine

Hello! I had a quick question that I have asked local dealers near me about but have been unable to find an answer. My family and I have been looking at getting a 5075E Premium Cab tractor. We wanted the front loader 520M with it but found out the one we were quoted was the Non-Self-Leveling(NSL) loader. We asked about the Mechanical Self-Leveling(MSL) loader and were told that it is 1500lbs heavier and can offset the weight of the tractor greatly. However, I can find no mention of this weight difference at any other dealer or through the John Deere official website.
In short, we would really like to know the gross weight difference between a 520M NSL and MSL loaders respectively. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I'm curious if there are any other options out there besides renting a power rake, I'm not sure the rate in which they "rake" but i feel like its a relatively small footprint and might take quite a while. I do have access to a 35 HP Kubota tractor, are any of you familiar with any implements available for de-thatching that would beat a power rake? Thanks in advance!

I am going to try to look at this Yanmar 336 this weekend. He is asking $6500. How many hours is too many? Are there any common problems with these I should be on the lookout for? I am not afraid to do my own work and I know there will be some on an old machine but I would rather not spend all my time working on it rather than using it.

I'm trying to make the spiritual successor to Xwing for 90s DOS everyone craved, but Lucas Arts never delivered. I was also inspired by Wing Commander Privateer who's title led me to imagining building a giant fleet by buying more and more ships and making friends.It has a bunch of bugs but these will be fixed in a week or two. It's still pretty fun and a base by which a HUGE HUGE potential WOW killer will be made on. fairly long patch notes of a subset of what I plan on doing in the future are at the bottom.

I'm exhausted... I spent close to a year on this patch... And the last 3 months was nothing but sleep, code, sleep, code, body necessities, balanced against being stress sick, normal sick, and trying not to break down due to being isolated non stop working... About 2000 hours in this patch alone, on top of 10,000 hours in the past 6 years before that, and I use an anthology of game resources that took me 20,000 hours to make. There's some bugs due to Unity compiling standalone improper from editor, but they'll be fixed, as well as the story line not in... GROUND COMBAT FORM II) One is tactical Real Time Turn Based Game(RTTG) from top down, almost isometric. RTTG will give you the feel of a classic orthogonic chess like game with cover, vision and such, yet everyone plays at the same time. RTTG mode happens when you enter populated towns, not because the server can't handle infinite players in a small zone, but because it feels more intense when any action and fight can start from the shadows. Movement is freer and faster when no one has fights going on nearby.

I'm trying to make the spiritual successor to Xwing for 90s DOS everyone craved, but Lucas Arts never delivered. I was also inspired by Wing Commander Privateer who's title led me to imagining building a giant fleet by buying more and more ships and making friends.It has a bunch of bugs but these will be fixed in a week or two. It's still pretty fun and a base by which a HUGE HUGE potential WOW killer will be made on. fairly long patch notes of a subset of what I plan on doing in the future are at the bottom.

I'm exhausted... I spent close to a year on this patch... And the last 3 months was nothing but sleep, code, sleep, code, body necessities, balanced against being stress sick, normal sick, and trying not to break down due to being isolated non stop working... About 2000 hours in this patch alone, on top of 10,000 hours in the past 6 years before that, and I use an anthology of game resources that took me 20,000 hours to make. There's some bugs due to Unity compiling standalone improper from editor, but they'll be fixed, as well as the story line not in... --Three forms of Ground Combat: GROUND COMBAT FORM I) One is a classical First Person Shooter (FPS) with vehicles.
GROUND COMBAT FORM II) One is tactical Real Time Turn Based Game(RTTG) from top down, almost isometric. RTTG will give you the feel of a classic orthogonic chess like game with cover, vision and such, yet everyone plays at the same time. RTTG mode happens when you enter populated towns, not because the server can't handle infinite players in a small zone, but because it feels more intense when any action and fight can start from the shadows. Movement is freer and faster when no one has fights going on nearby.
GROUND COMBAT FORM III)One is a 3d Fighter Game you'd see in Arcades from the 90s, but with the ability to change targets.
