English: for section 1 question a on paper 1 use pqe, point quote explain, nake one point use a quote to back it up and explain, leave extra space after each point incase you have extra time to spend on it
Question b of that same question make sure if you write the text of a speech the whole text is said speech and if you have to for example write the text of a speech from a famous person you never step out of character. Your opening line should be basically a rephrasing of the question eg:write an article for the local newspaper, you should say "I am writing for the x newspaper to tell you about...", even if its unrealistic they still look for this in regard to your purpose mark.
For the composing:make sure there are famous people you can talk about a lot, also just a few topics that youve got some bit of knowledge on e.g ai might be handy
personal essay: use anecdotes even if they're made up
Short story:I'm avoiding this personally but make sure you show don't tell and alsondont leave plot holes, from what I've heard people who do this already have things like settings, characters and storylines planned out before the exam
Opinion essay: chose for or against and be strongly for or against, if im not mistaken you can be neutral but it's a lot harder
For the single text your first quote shouldn't be from act 1 scene 1 or your texts equivalent,your answer shouldn't be a summary
For hamlet: have lots of quotes, back in as many points as possible with quotes, remember the word regicide and antic-disposition, if the question asks about Claudius' role as villain if must only be his direct wrong doings (laertes, elder hamlet) and not the ones he indirectly caused by making hamlet mad (ophelia, polonius etc).
Comparative:constantly compare your 3 texts,(this next tip only applies if parf of your comparative course is never let me go) MOST of the time if you are doing the question 1 which is split up into a and b where a is in relation to 1 text and b is 2, never let me go will be in part a as it is hard to compare to other texts, this obviously depends on the question but if in doubt do that
Unseen poetry:I'm absolutely useless at this but on my mock I completely misunderstood the poem and got 17/20, waffle with confidence, don't spend too long on it as 20 marks is sweet fa in your English paper and the difference between spending 20 mins and 25 mins is no more than 3 marks.
Poetry: have one poem you can talk for days about no matter what, they will more than likely come up. Have 3 more you understand to be able to answer a question, then your perfectly covered. If you want to be more confident you can learn 2 poems to perfect 50/50 but from here to Thursday time management is important
History: if your a slow writer like me learn a metric fuck tonne of good quotes they're the quickest way to pick up marks, here's a few if you want them

Irish: if your like me and haven't done a scratch there's still more than a week, predictions are your best friend, learn one essay, one poetry notes, one story notes and one play notes and let God decide how well he wants you to do
French:be able to write about the Olympics as if your fluent, its probably going to come up. Know your tenses and your subjunctive. Learn off a few proverbs they add marks to any essay. "Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec le declaration Ci dessus","il est neccesaire de pesser le pour et le contre", "n'oublions pas le proverbe" and "a Mon avis" fit into most opinion pieces, know them(get correct spelling aswel mine was affected by autocorrect). Also if your down to the wire learn diary phrased, even if you write a bad diary you will get marks for the phrases
Accounting: final accounts will come up,know 2/3, learn all your ratios and all the theory they will come up, know either budgeting or costing as one of each will come up, that leaves the second 100 marker, it will most likely be suspense as that comes up every second year but it could be a 60 marker, I wouldn't even bother worrying about anything else until ratios,final accounts, budget/costing and suspense are up to the grade your hoping for but if all that is sorted learn off maybe 3 other possible 100 markers, that any you have 4 which includes the 80% likely suspense and 2 will come up, the accounting exam is probably the easiest to predict, and for the love of God know your theory. Keep doing exam questions of your struggling, every time you correct one write down your mistakes and have the list of mistakes next to you when doing the next one, then tear it and make a new list of mistakes
This is all my experience, I will add any good advice for these subject or other subjects that are provided in the comments, all of these are for higher level except for maths, good luck,don't panic and think about the pint that's instore once this is all over

I am worried of having autoimmune hepatitis.
I had ANA positive at 1:320 (homogeneous) since January 2023 (shortly after getting COVID) along with a positive ASMA (antismooth muscle antibodies) - indicative of autoimmune hepatitis. My ANA remained positive through the year, but my ASMA went to negative from June onwards. In December 2023, my ANA turned to positive again at 1:640 (fine speckled), and ASMA also back to moderate positive (1:320).
I am consistently testing negative on ENA & dsDNA tests. Only strong positive on anti- DFS 70 but that is often associated with no autoimmune diseases.
ALT is at 79 (jumped to 90 recently despite losing several kg of weight). AST is normal. Bilirubin is normal. ALP is normal. Immunoglobulin (G, A & M) is normal. Negative on HBA1c (pre-diabetes). LKM and Mitochondrial antibodies are negative. Hepatitis B & C tests are negative.
Ferritin and GGT fluctuate between elevated and normal levels (full iron panel following the Ferritin levels doesn’t indicate anything abnormal, however). Extremely low vitamin D levels.
I visited a gastroenterologist, but he advised against a liver biopsy, considering I don't have any AIH-related symptoms, besides occasional liver pain (I've had fatty liver for 8 years now). The liver pain is recent (from 8 months ago, daily) and disappears after a meal.
They sent me for an ultrasound in August 2023 which didn’t show anything but the already fatty liver I’ve had for 8 years. I still did a liver tumour marker test (AFP) and it was negative.
I occasionally wake up with really dry mouth and low energy. This has become more frequent in the past few months.
I also saw a rheumatologist in January 2024 and they said my wildly fluctuating ANA patterns (homogeneous to fine speckled) often mean it isn’t an autoimmune disease. They also comforted me that if I had untreated AIH for over a year even (since COVID), I would feel very unwell by now and my ALT would be in the hundreds. They advised against a liver biopsy too.
Any idea on what to do? All I know is my health issues started in June 2021 after my COVID vaccination (I developed testicular inflammation, only subsiding now) and also the liver issues started shortly after getting COVID itself in December 2022.

Firstly here is my conclusion from all the videos I have watched. I don't think Dr. K is religious or a typical "theist". I could be wrong, let me know if I am.
I am making this post because I stumbled upon this video in my feed randomly - Internet Therapist Dr. K's Hidden Agenda (youtube.com)
Religious: Belief in an organized form of spirituality, i.e., my way or the high way (e.g.: Quran, Bhagwadgita, Bible). A lot of religious people believe that their religion is the correct one.
Spirituality: Understanding the mind, understanding how humans work through unmeasurable but potentially logically/observationally understandable concepts. e.g.: Doshas, Karma, Dharma.
PS: You can argue it comes from "Hinduism" but those are just Sanskrit words used by Yogis of the past, and yogis are not gods. They wrote these texts not gods, through their observational understandings. You can use whatever translations of those Sanskrit words.
I think spirituality is something that you can't really argue against because you will always have a reasonable doubt of "where do things even come from". It's always a cyclical argument from the point of an atheist where you have to say "You don't know until you know" so why believe something that cannot be measured or proven to be correct?
My thought is that you can definitely believe something that cannot proven to be correct without it being "faith". As Dr. K said faith is when you don't have knowledge, i.e., you don't know certain information so you believe it blindly.
Here is an example, If you have a purpose (dharma), it serves as a protective factor not only against negative emotions but also helps you be resilient or get over addictions.
1) This is not "faith". This is knowledge, I know that having a dharma will give me a sense of responsibility to the world
2) Meditation - "Om Chanting" and "Skull Science" - All of these things that supposedly are not proven to help people but then why do they help people? Once again, these are DISCOVERED by HUMANS (Yogis, Prophets, whoever) by their OBSERVATIONS in the past. Of course, there are not many RCT studies proving this to be better than measurable non-woo-woo solutions or maybe I don't know.
The point I'm making is that this is not BLIND faith, this is knowledge. You kind of have an idea, that based on the observation of how a person works, this specific thing will work for you. The way to develop a solution to a problem is always trial and error and what works for 90% of the randomly chosen people will not even be the BEST treatment for the individuals within that 90% of the study. They could all benefit from a more individualized approach based on observations of how they work rather than a generalized treatment of what will most likely work for most people.
Dr. K isn't recommending that you pray to Hanuman, or Krishna or worship Allah. While those things may help, he says to do a certain type of meditation that has observationally been proven to work in some way shape, or form for a specific person based on very reasonable observations of their behavior.
I have never once heard Dr. K say "You should thank Lord Shiva/Allah/Jesus for changing your life", nor can I EVER imagine those words coming from him. He always has some kind of idea of the pathology of why certain "rituals", i.e., meditation help with logically reasonable and understandable points even if they could sound "INSANE" by Western medicine standards.
Therefore, this is knowledge, not FAITH. If someone creates another unmeasurable solution to an issue, like doing a cobra pose with your mouth open facing up will reduce your anxiety and depression significantly, and an RCT trial comes out proving this outperforms medication and psychotherapy, would you not just do a cobra pose with your mouth open facing up even if you don't understand why it's helping?
My honest opinion is that organized religion is an insult to spirituality, not only does it create divisions it also de-spiritualizes whatever the valuable teachings from those historical texts may have been through excessive worship and obsessive pedestalization of the characters within those scriptures. I know religion has supposedly helped many people and based on observations, you should continue to do whatever ritual is helping because it is addressing some form of behavioral or emotional need and it was developed this way for a reason by people from the past.

i feel like words can’t describe how amazing the storytelling is. on one occasion, we might read a section while already knowing the aftermath (e.g. uriah’s death), and on another, we’ll have no idea what will happen whatsoever. almost every sequence or flashback is told out of order, which is VERY difficult to write without muddling the chronology / main plotline, but i feel like uriah was able to achieve this in a way that made the narrative even more powerful. there’s just enough shock factor for it to be unsettling (e.g. tomas being a cop) - it’s never overdone.
the ending wasn’t a happy one, which is understandable considering the undertone of the story as a whole. but it was hopeful, and it was fitting. i’m so so glad that thumbless (not sure what to call him since his name isn’t lovell anymore) and camilla had closure, even if they haven’t been able to officially see each other again :( but that’s just the beauty of open endings, i think.
(spoilers for ep 135 finale) what hurts the most is definitely vincent’s death (even bo’s), and as much as i wish he didn’t off himself, the story made it clear that he was too far gone and had already “drowned” in the red sea. even bo said to him in ep 46, "you could have had a normal life if you were brought up by a normal family." he was such a huge victim of circumstance, it’s devastating. but he did what he set out to do. “unlike your father, that police jacket suits you” had me absolutely BAWLING you don’t even know 😭
bo is an interesting case because, as opposed to vincent, he was born with psychopathic tendencies afaik. thumbless was like an enigma. it was the first time bo found himself actually caring about another human being, which is why he’s been stuck at a crossroads this whole time. but at the end, he did the right thing - he let go. bo was an awful person, no doubt, but his fantasy of painting a personal drawing that wasn’t gory or creepy for once honestly hit hard.
i really loved thumbless’s monologue at the end, ESPECIALLY the line “i miss you, but not out of loneliness. i miss you… for you.” he’s been able to become his own person and, in turn, see others (like camilla) as their own people as well. even if he hasn’t fully healed yet, he’s growing. i don’t mind not knowing his legal name since i find it more impactful that way, though i do wonder if the “i didn’t know who i was or what to call myself. it was sunny tho :) :)” written on one of his notes at the end suggests that his name is sunny?? i might be looking into it too much…
imo, uriah is a masterpiece that deserves so much more attention and praise. i’ve been reading it for over 2 years now, so i’ll miss it a lot, but the way the finale wrapped up the story was everything i could have hoped for and more - i can’t recommend it enough. also, the two bullfinches in ep 1 physically hurt me 😭 the foreshadowing is crazy

2024.06.01 11:26 RamsinJacobRealty August 17th - The Real Estate industry is going to change dramatically for the consumers

For those who have been following the mass media headlines and don't have much experience with the real estate industry in CA, they assume:

"Agents won't need to get paid anymore"
"I can negotiate commissions"
"I don't need an agent"
"Agents won't be making 6%"

The list of claims from the novice public population goes on and on...
First and foremost, commissions have ALWAYS been negotiable. In all the new contracts coming to the state of CA, you will see this written repeatedly, so much that it will become embedded in your mind.
The NAR lawsuit, was nothing but a pure money grab by attorneys. Anyone with actual knowledge of the case and what's happening will tell you the same thing. Why do I say that? Well, for starters, the plaintiffs in the case all have a common theme - They signed a listing agreement. On those listing agreements/contracts are the terms, commissions, etc. We are all grown adults, if you cannot read the terms of a contract you are physically signing, that's a problem. If you cannot comprehend the terms of the contract you signed, that's a problem. If you don't agree with the terms and conditions of the contract you signed and you did not speak up to either question, counter or negotiate it, that's a problem. To then go an file a lawsuit because you did one or all of the above, is the definition of contradiction. That's what happened in the case. It was a quick open and close, attorneys saw the big dollar signs and moved it along without any proper defense from the defendants. When you sign an agreement/contract, you are acknowledging that you reviewed and accept EVERYTHING in that agreement/contract. There's no going back on an agreement, unless there's a specific term written into the agreement, likely would state an addendum would need to ratified by both parties to change anything.
So what's the results?
The ruling stated that the MLS needs to remove the buyer's agent co-operative compensation from the MLS. In Real Estate, specifically in California, you don't see 6% commissions, I've been in Real Estate nearly 10 years, do business in the Bay Area and LA, I've never or heard 6%. 5% has been the norm and commissions have ALWAYS been negotiable. The structure of commissions thus far have been the listing agent and seller agree on a commission that's compensated to the listing agent and to the buyer's agent - but the listing brokerage technically is collect the entire amount and distributing the buyer's agent commission to the buyer's brokerage at closing. So for instance:

Listing Brokerage collects 5% from the sale of the property and offers 2.5% buyer's brokerage co-operative compensation. Very simple.

So now, that the buyer's brokerage co-operative compensation will not longer be a thing, the public thinks buyer's agents are suddenly going to be working for free or a very low amount. Real Estate agents are independent contractors, we don't make any money unless we close transactions, there's many fees involved which the public are unaware about & no, good agents are not focused on the dollar amount, they are focused on volume and doing right by their clients.
Sellers will still be able to compensate a buyer's agent, no one can tell a seller they can't. The structure of how it'll be processed slightly changes. There's various ways, which I won't go into in detail here and share my strategies since there may be other agents lurking here. These strategies, along with other new practices is what's going to separate the agents who stay in the business and the thousands who will be moving onto other endeavors.
Moving forward starting August 17th - Those buyers out there who don't commit to an agent and want to pull around multiple at a time, those days are done. One bad practice that majority of agents have is they never developed proper execution of the buyebroker representation agreement. Whether it be non-exclusive or exclusive, majority of agents never implemented it and the public didn't know anything else on how business is suppose to run. I sit on the minority side of agents who actually does implement the buyebrokerage agreement. August 17th, every single agent will have the specific policy that they need to sign agreements with every buyer they work with. Every buyer out there, before you can even go look at a house, you need to sign an agreement with an agent. A buyer won't be permitted to see a home without an agency agreement. This is all thanks to the lawsuit settlement.
This makes it more difficult for the buyers at the end of the day. Why? To begin with, a buyer needs to find an agent and commit to them. With the agreements that buyers will have to sign, there will specifically be a section regarding the compensation due to the buyer's agent. You as the buyer will technically be on the hook of that compensation to your buyer's agent, if the seller is not willing to compensate. There are various strategies here which a savvy and experienced Agent can ensure their buyer clients won't need to come out of pocket to compensate the buyer's agent for their services, again, these strategies is what's going to separate the majority of the agents from the ones at the top.
There's additional conversations and paperwork that needs to and will be made at every initial conversation between a buyer and their potential new agent. Along with listing agents and their sellers. The groups behind this change want to believe this creates more "transparency" in the Real Estate business. It actually does the opposite. It becomes a huge unknown and guessing game about compensation to agents from the buyer perspective and also sellers. Buyers will be going into the process unsure about whether or not they will need to end up paying their buyer's agent or will the seller be able to cover the fees from the proceeds. Sellers will not be sure about how much they can potentially be netting from the sell of the property, because a buyer's agent with the best offer could be requesting either a very high or standard commission. There's no improvement towards transparency in this. We're literally going backwards in the industry. This is what so many people just don't have any idea about.
The structure of commissions is just one area of change we are going to experience. Open houses will be different, every buyer will need to sign an acknowledgment document upon entry. Sellers may offer "concessions" - so that's the new word instead of "commissions". Literally the industry is going through technical changes with procedures and contracts which at the core does not improve anything for the consumers. I guarantee more people will feel frustrated and confused about buying or selling with these changes coming soon.
Again, commissions have ALWAYS been negotiable. Redfin has always had their low cost services, which don't produce good results, as a seller, you leave well over $100k on the table. As a buyer, you won't know what a great agent experience feels like. Along with those flat fee services, those are even worse. Attorneys are out there too, all they do is push paper along, that's it. They don't have a clue about Real Estate. All of those services have always been available, if they were any good, it would have taken over the industry a long time ago. Clearly, it's not. Just remember, like anything in life, you get what you pay for. Don't expect to have great service and low ball your agent. There's no sense to battle over 1% of agent fees, when the agent is going to be making your life easier throughout the process, negotiate on your behalf, cover all your bases to minimize potential legal troubles and provide the highest level of advisory. The great agents out there, are well worth what they request for compensation. For years, I've been negotiating deals for my buyers $100,000 - $250,000 below seller's desired prices on average. I jump through hoops of fire for my clients to serve them as best as possible, working around the clock, at all hours, matter of fact, it's currently 2:37am as I write this... And for my sellers, I have been negotiating sales on their property anywhere from $100,000 - $500,000 above their expectations (not list price, big difference, a list price is nothing but a marketing strategy, keep that in mind). I specialize with investments, have been doing this for nearly a decade. Time and time again, I've located deals for my investor clients/partners which literally no one else saw other than myself. I say that with full confidence, backed by facts. There's been many deals, sitting on the market, available for anyone to purchase, available to negotiate to the best of your ability and no one did so, no one saw it, other than myself. Which resulted in significant profits within a short amount of time. The ability to foresee the future value of a property in the market is not something anyone can do. The ability to envision a renovated property from a torn down home, is not common.
When you break it down, the agent fees are minuscule in comparison to what a great advisor is able to do.

This is not a movie that goes with the laugh track approach wherein the comedy is obvious like in Horrible Bosses. Dark humor is employed in this movie. If you are feeling frustrated at work, then this movie might be highly cathartic for you.
All employees are seething with contempt for their jobs, workplaces, and everything related to those aspects. It is incredibly funny and reminds you of Dilbert comic strips.
Violence against people is not funny. Violence against malfunctioning technology however can be very entertaining as seen below. One of the central themes of the movie is the faulty printer that jams and swallows essential documents at crucial times.

One of my all-time favorite movies is this Jack Black vehicle that feels like his personality made into a movie. Jack Black plays Dewey Finn, a wannabe rockstar who is down on his luck and living with a dweebish roommate Ned Schneebly played by Mike White.

Clooney serves as a contrast against the vulnerability of a corporate drone while being considerate to the people he fires - for a living. The tables are turned however when a young ivy-leaguer decides that the company needs a makeover.
