Hello everyone. My name is Matthew, I'm 22 and I have no idea what the f is happening to me. I'll be brief. Since this February I've been dealing with (what i think at least) Neuropathy-like symptoms. Such as tingling, shooting pain,very mild numbness but a very annoying and frightful (to me at least) burning sensation. Now I want to point the attention to the burning sensation. It's literally everywhere in my body but it's very sporadic. It's sometimes in my eyes,on my fingers,on my toes around my lips on my back but mostly in my arms, very rarely in my legs. It was also in my tongue and even...yes down there in my privates,At the beginning it was 8-9/10 and it was driving me crazy, because I was freaking burning alive but there was nothing on my skin. Of course I immediately went to the doctor and he gave me blood tests and stuff to do. Blood test perfectly normal; No sing of inflammations, no sings of any possible tumor. All normal. So I booked a neurologist. Crazy enough he found nothing remotely similar to a never damage especially because i was able to do everything he asked me (at the visit) with my eyes closed. He told that he found no need for TCs, MRI scans or EMG, whatsoever, because ,as I told him, my burning sensation isn't localized and comes and goes sporadically. He therefore told me me I'm dealing with a psychosomatization of anxiety and sent me to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist gave me Xanx and Sertraline. I've been taking them but i had to stop because Sertraline sent me to the hospital because i literally was vomiting my soul out. Had to stop immediately. As for Xanx i gradually stooped but the does wasn't high at all. Literally 10 drops: 5 in the day 5 before sleeping. The burning sensation unfortunately didn't cease but i have to say that now it's a lot more manageable and milder. Heck,it was literally a 8-9/10 and now it's a 4-5/10, but it's still here. Huge Mistake, searching on Google, that's why I'm here. I am terrified. Needless to say i booked another neurologist in short hopefully this time i get a clearer answer. Although i did hear anxiety can cause literally any sort of symptom, I find it very wierd that such a symptom like mine (random and not localized burning sensation) can be related to anxiety. Yet,what my base doctor told me was "If you truly were to have a neuropathy the symptoms would get worse and worse and not even Xanax or Sertraline helped you" Now, Maybe he's right but I'm still here..."burning". My biggest fear is to suddenly collapse and find myself in a hospital bed with the diagnosis of an underlying tumor,MS or something even more serious and be paralyzed head to toe or lose a foot or whatever of deadly i can think about. Yes, I'm highly hypochondriac, but i can't help it. I'm too scared. Then again,so far nothing too concerning happened to me and the burning sensation got even more bearable,as i said. I'm still able to walk,jog,run,swim, drive, haven't lost my strength and can do everything I normally could do throughout these four months. And yet I still..."burn". I'm seriously scared. I have to see my psychiatrist as well this week, and given I'm off the meds he's probably gonna tell me i need CBT. As for the neurologist, that's gonna take some more time because i live in Italy and Healthcare in Italy isn't the absolute best. But that's not the point. Guys, what do you think i should do, besides what I'm already doing? Do you think i have a sort of misdiagnosed incurable Neuropathy that is slowly killing me or do you think I'm overreacting? I'm noticing asking for a diagnosis or anything else like that. I just want to know whether I should be seriously afraid or not.

Nijika is an angel. How she always offers a helping hand to people around her, even a stranger like me, has touched my heart. But fate can be so cruel. Her death was so sudden and tore my heart out. But even then, I don't think that'll stop my love for Nijika.
It's not that I want to admire a dead body... It's because it's Nijika-chan that I can even love a dead body. After all, loving the living Nijika-chan is a given... Even if she becomes an old woman, even if her face is no longer recognizable, even if her personality becomes rough, what Nijika-chan has given us so far will not disappear or wane. Surely, there is a charm in Nijika-chan that we haven't seen before. The fact that she was involved in an accident in front of us doesn't change, but it didn't end with her death. My love for Nijika-chan won't change because of that. It continues even after death, and her body doesn't disappear. Even after death, a new Nijika-chan begins. If Nijika-chan remains beautiful in my heart, even if her appearance changes, she will still be beautiful. I can love her even if she becomes a corpse. If it's all disfigured and unrecognizable, let's find Nijika-chan's beauty inside. What about her internal organs? I can still find beauty in Nijika-chan's internal organs... even her brain, bones, heart, pancreas, intestines, and undigested contents in her stomach. If it were someone else's, I might vomit, but for Nijika-chan's, I only feel love
Nijika-chan, The Angel of Shimokitazawa. She is still beautiful, even in a rotten state. Even if it's scary, I will look at her and show my love. No matter how messy and unrecognizable she is... because it's Nijika-chan, right? Maybe I should clean it carefully, inspect her parts one by one, and then perform preservation treatment. It might be beautiful in formalin or even in resin. Because it's Nijika-chan, right? Using 60 ml syringes and needles to inject the entire dead body until all parts are completely covered. It just dawns on me that embalming might be the truest form of eternal love. Eating might also be a form of love. I think it's very attractive to have Nijika-chan live on forever inside me. I'd been thinking about that for the past few days but in the end, I decided against that idea... I don't want to part ways with her after all, so let's keep her body as it is.
It's cold tonight so let's sleep in the same futon. Nijika-chan might not like being smelled because she's a girl, but because it's Nijika-chan's, there shouldn't be anything dirty about it. Even if her body deteriorates and her smell becomes stronger, I’m happy just to feel it... If Nijika-chan looks lonely, I will hug her from behind. In the same futon, wrapped in Nijika-chan's scent, I can find happiness in approaching Nijika-chan step by step. Even if I groan in hunger without eating or drinking, it must be a trial to test my love for Nijika-chan... because Nijika-chan has suffered more. I think we can see a landscape beyond that. I think there is a new realm. Gradually, as the days go by, I will become less certain whether I am Nijika-chan or Nijika-chan is me, and I won't know if it's Nijika-chan's scent or my own, and gradually, my body sensations will fade, and I will be conscious of the approaching death... but that's okay, all's right with the world... Because Nijika-chan is surely waiting for me beyond that.
Because it's Nijika-chan, beautiful bones and muscle fibers peeking out from the torn arm must be beautiful, the crushed eyeball visible from the shattered face must be beautiful. 2024.06.01 14:17 Curious-Bedroom-9531 For anyone struggling with or contemplating taking stimulant medication…
I tried the stimulant medication and it was awful. Paranoia, mania, unhealthy weight loss, daily comedowns. It also made me feel high when it kicked in which just isn’t right. I like a party but not when I’m trying to work. Whatever dose I took the drug only lasted 6 hours, so the psychiatrist kept prescribing me stronger pills which did not prolong the duration, only made it more intense.
I stopped taking the drugs cold turkey due to the shortage and made serious lifestyle adjustments.
From my experience , the negative symptoms of ADHD thrive off the following;
I am now very disciplined with sleep routine, getting 7 hours a night absolute minimum but most nights 8.
I feel the best I ever have my whole life. I barely notice having ADHD anymore, only the positive effects of hyper focus and being able to smash work every day.
That daily anxiety of feeling overwhelmed by everything is all but gone.
Trust me, you don’t need those drugs. Sure, lifestyle adjustments take a lot more effort in the short term than swallowing a pill but in the long term when you’re into your routine you’ll feel the best you ever have.

- poor sleep
- Poor diet
- No exercise
I am now very disciplined with sleep routine, getting 7 hours a night absolute minimum but most nights 8.
I feel the best I ever have my whole life. I barely notice having ADHD anymore, only the positive effects of hyper focus and being able to smash work every day.
That daily anxiety of feeling overwhelmed by everything is all but gone.
Trust me, you don’t need those drugs. Sure, lifestyle adjustments take a lot more effort in the short term than swallowing a pill but in the long term when you’re into your routine you’ll feel the best you ever have.

(F19, 5’1, 135lbs) so about a week ago i came down with a cold. it wasn’t too bad at all and it was super short. it started with a sore throat then developed into a headache and a stuffy nose. i just overall felt sick. that only lasted for about 2 days and i was feeling almost 100% better. well, about 2 days after feeling perfectly fine, i’ve developed a deep chest pain (worsens when coughing and laughing), mucus in my throat that i have to constantly clear up, an occasional runny nose, and scratchy throat. i’m not having throat pain, chest tightness, wheezing, a fever, or a cough. did my cold develop into a chest cold or is it something more serious?

Hi there ! I’m on Mounjaro for T2D (A1C is 5.8 now.) SW was 158 lbs. 5’1” tall. CW 143 lbs. Goal 120 lbs (maybe) 😆
First dose of 2.5mg April 12, 2024. First dose of 5mg May 10, 2024. 4th dose of 5mg today (May 31st). Eight shots total completed so far.
Doctor thinks it’s reasonable to titrate up to 7.5mg as my side effects have been tolerable (fatigue, heartburn, sometimes headaches, injection site reaction.) We will do labs in July 2024. (Last set was done April 9th, a few days before I started Mounjaro.)
Today I am feeling nauseated 🤢 after taking my shot this morning. I haven’t experienced this side effect before. Have not vomited (yet.) I’m terrified of getting dizziness and nausea. (Especially the dizziness/spinning/loss of balance. I had vertigo issue three years ago and couldn’t get out of bed for three days!)
For those who had a SW around 160lbs, how high of a dosage did you go ? (My insurance will not pay for any additional 2.5mg doses.) All other doses other than 2.5mg are covered with multiple refills. Not in a hurry to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time. I’m fine with 1or 2 lb a week loss. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello everyone, first of all English isn't my first language, I'm on mobile, and I tend to ramble, so I'm sorry about that. I (34F) am in a short relationship (4 months) with L (28M), he's very kind and sweet, and I'm still adapting to this whole new relationship thing, for this last sentence I'll give you some background. My last serious relationship lasted for 3,5 years between me (24F at the time) and F (21M at the time). It started after we matched on a dating app and we went on our first date. Our first date was crazy perfect, he picked me up on a garden and we went to a tattoo/piercing shop where we got pierced. We talked for hours until evening, and he invited me to eat pizza at his place with his dad lol. It was super late by then, and I lived far far away, so we slept together just cuddling, nothing else. Since then we would meet each other every day. One time (6 months into the relationship) he rear ended another vehicle while going back home. So I decided to move closer to him, because the commute was getting to us. So I did. One week into the new lease, I had an accident and broke my ankle. So he decided that it was better for me to stay at his place to recover (bigger house, access to vehicles, and accessible in general). Three months and two surgeries after I decided it was time for me to go home, but he would convince me to "postpone just one more week" every time, and I would always oblige (I know the little doormat I sometimes am). And things would go like that until I hit the one year mark into that lease. And I said to him "or I move back home or I move definitely here, there's no middle therm", so I moved into his place. I offered to pay rent but he refused. Until this moment the relationship was perfect, his father also lived at that place, and we would always cook together, sing together, go for short trips, etc. But after a while I started to have symptoms of anxiety and depression. Until one day I had a panic attack by just sitting in front of my computer at work. I started to treat that and the doctors said I would have to stop work for a bit, because it was super serious (I don't want to go into too much details for that). At the beginning he was super supportive, but now I know that to have a relationship with someone w/ depression and anxiety it's super hard, 0/10 not recommend. So he and his friends started to be petty to me, and I noticed. One day me, him and his friend went for dinner and I got catchup for me. His friends started to berate me on how catchup is bad for my health and that I should stop using it. I simple replied that every time I see him he is smoking his cigarettes and I never said nothing. Or one time that his friend started to talk bad about gold digger women and insinuate that I was one, because I wasn't working. Before stopping to work I had a career in IT, while my bf had an assistant warehouse job, and I used to earn way more than him (that was never important to me before, honestly). So I said "I know I'm not working, but as soon as I get better I'll earn 4 times more than my bf, so your argument doesn't apply". Just wanted to point out that I had my savings, and I was living off it, paying for food, and other bills. My bf then was very mean and cold to me too, and at one point I asked "Do you want me to move out?" and he said "yes". "After that will you break up with me?" And he said "yes". So I activated my survival mode, and started to work my way into leaving. Between that, and getting a job, I started to pack my things quietly, and applying for jobs. All that while mourning the relationship. For him, I was doing nothing, but I was actually already in the way of signing a new lease, going to interviews and packing my things (and hiding in the house), I wanted to just disappear, I felt humiliated to not be able to leave in the next day after that talk. One day he went after me for sex, and I said "don't be like that, I feel like a piece of meat", he answered "so I'm going downstairs to get some salt then", and from that moment on, all the good feelings I had were replaced by disgust and disdain. A couple days after he asked me what I was going to do on next weekend, because he would go on a trip and wouldn't be home, and I said "nothing". I actually went to help the landlord to clean and paint the new place, since I wanted it to be ready ASAP. And I could move in next Wednesday. When I broke the news to him, he looked surprised and said "already??". So I kinda moved all out in less than a day. After that he would always go after me. I was 27 by then, and from that moment on the idea of a relationship would always make me sick. So I had the crazy teenager phase (since I always had long relationships before) and decided that I would be alone. I started to draw a plan to move to New Zealand, as far away from my ex possible and the plans didn't go through. But 3 years later I moved to Europe, my ex would always send messages saying he missed me, even when he was on a relationship, and in one of my birthdays he sent me a picture from his wallet with my picture in it. I replied politely, but I felt disdain honestly. We haven't talked in years now, honestly, and I'm alright with that. I was single for 7 years icking the idea of going through all that again. Ok, so now, what's happening? I'm 34 now, and I have my cute sweet new boyfriend, and every time he comes here to sleep with me I dream that I sneak out the bed to sleep with my ex. Even though I would never do that, even if he was in other bed next to us. I always feel guilty and dirty, like I'm cheating. I spend the days thinking that I should tell my bf, but I don't want to hurt him. All I feel for my ex is disdain and ick. But I feel like I'm hiding something. What do I do?

This part is on me (and it's possibly not relevant to small claims but...) I've had a busy month, and I provided the necessary info to be approved as a driver a bit over a week in advance of the 28. I was approved around the 23rd.
Full time job had extra work for me until May 25. And then I got sick, with a mad head cold. The type of cold where (although I tested covid negative) I really didn't want to be driving people. My sinuses hurt. I was coughing a lot.
May 28, I'm not feeling the best, but I didn't have any fever, and I went into my normal job. Which lasts until 8:30 pm Hawaii time. I really wanted that bonus so I drive one Lyft ride at about 9pm, Hawaiian time, May 28.
Fast forward to today.
I really want that bonus, I'm finally not coughing all the time so I start driving Friday night. But the bonus isn't showing anywhere on the app.
So I went home, contacted Lyft support, and they keep saying that I didn't start in 30 days, per the bonus agreement. I shared screenshots of the emails that said "by May 28" and a screenshot of my first ride which was around 9pm May 28.

when I said about thinking it’s endometriosis he gave me mefenamic acid and said it’s used to treat endometriosis, that did nothing so he gave me the lowest dose of codamol telling me it’s a really strong painkiller and that did nothing so he refused to give me other painkiller and I asked to be referred to an endometriosis specialist and said I’d have the laparoscopy if needed and he didn’t want to put me on a waiting list cause it’s too long so he said try BC instead cause he was sure it would help and said treats endometriosis. He said to have 3 weeks on and 1 week off and I said I heard if it’s treating endometriosis you’re meant to skip the week break or it won’t stop it growing and he just went silent and then said you have to take the week break. I’ve been on the BC patch for 5 months now and it’s made some difference but I’m still having to take naproxen on the first day of every period and the most recent period I was still feeling faint a lot even though I was bleeding a lot less. Putting it all together just makes my gp look really dismissive and like he either doesn’t understand painkiller or doesn’t really believe my pain is bad enough to give me stronger painkillers. I just want my appointment with mr mabrouk to hurry up, it’s in 3 weeks, I’ve had a 3 month wait altogether from when I referred myself, sent the symptom information they asked for and got offered an appointment after he agreed to see me. (I paid private since my gp wasn’t doing anything) I don’t understand why my gp was so dismissive about it all like I told him about previously vomiting on my period and about how I often feel faint on my period and now avoid going out on my period cause of having to lay on the floor when out for a walk once and having to be carried to my dads car which wasn’t even far away from where I was.

I just feel so awful, it's like the worst flu of my life. I'm so embarrassed I'm so mad at myself. 24 hours down. I almost caved last night and had a shot just to feel some relief. I didn't. I wish I could have something to remove this pain. But I won't do the hospital, again. It's too embarrassing.

After some opinions please.
30 year old female who gave birth 14 weeks ago and had my gallbladder removed 10 weeks ago.
It all went well until last week when I got the same gallstone/gallbladder pain. It lasted a few hours and went away when I was in hospital. I also had nausea and vomiting during this time. The symptoms only lasted a few hours and I've felt 100% normal since with no symptoms.
Ultrasound of my liver and bile ducts was normal. They just found a mildly fatty and enlarged liver.
The hospital ran blood tests and ALL of my liver enzymes were elevated into the hundreds. All other bloods normal. It was definitely not alcohol or drug induced.
24 hours later, my ALT enzyme went from 400 to 1300.
24 hours after that my ALT dropped back to 900.
1 week later my ALT is now 88 and near normal.
The doctors said maybe some sludge left over in the bile duct, or viral hepatitis (but I live in Australia?) may have been the cause but whatever it was has now passed.
What on earth could have caused this? Surely it's related to my gallbladder removal?
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

My personal advice:
- Adress the problems you have and reflect, find healthy coping strategies while recovering, while tapering. This will add to the desire to get rid of it and to go down as you see that you can be stronger without the substance. -Prayer and Dua (Supplication) trust in Allah but use logic and common sense. -Meditation -Yoga -moderate excercise -breathing excercises etc.
- Surround yourself with understanding and positive people. Negativity is your enemy in your process of healing. Learn to cultivate positivity and let go of people whose words or actions harm your soul.
- If withdrawal is to harsh but still managable (no medical issues) stay on that dose for a longer time until you feel ready to go down for a bit more. Your body will adapt in shaa Allah.
- Don't listen to anyone suggesting to quit suddenly. Most of them have no knowledge of medicine or maybe even their deen.
- Understand that every body is different. Your biochemistry is different than that from another person. Listen to your body. Go at a pace that is in harmony with your system.
- Don't read the horror-stories online. They just make you paranoid and make everything that would be easy otherwise, hard.
- And the last but not least put your trust in Allah again.

We recently moved and she got a head cold and the they gave her antibiotics/steroid injection. Said if she got any worse over the next 2 weeks they could give her a second dose. The head cold is cleared up. It was about 4-5hrs after her dinner and happened again the next night. There were no lingering effects nor any other symptoms. The cats are fed 3x a day, weighed portions(I was feeding a bit more at night to try and get sleep until 7am, it only sort of worked anyway so now all 3 feeds are the same size). She has been adjusting to the new apartment so pacing and yowling isn’t that out of place, but yesterday it ramped up to near constant - when I went to bed she was crying a little bit I hoped she would settle with me or go back to the couch with my husband. Instead, about ten minutes after I turned the lights out she peed on my laundry! It’s on the floor because the basket had been soiled last week while she was sick, but very little moisture I could just smell it. I also have 2 cats so wasn’t 100% sure she did it the first time (like 90% tho, she’s done this in the past and our kitten is pretty fastidious haha). There have also been a couple of very small spots of mild urine(hardly even a smell, just stained) on her favourite chair since the injection, I thought maybe because of the steroid and her advanced age that she just had an accident because she’s sleeping in that chair in the sun for the better part of most days and never wants to leave while the sun is shining… But the peeing paired with the new assholery is worrying me. My husband just thinks she’s acting up. The cat who cries wolf, because every time she acts up and we go to the vet they find very little wrong with her (she has had maybe 2 uti’s in her life, and they think she might have mild arthritis in her back legs/hips but she’s still a VERY active/playful/social cat so they aren’t concerned with that much). She hates our 10mos old kitten, and he does harass her a bit but she’s mean even if he’s just trying to check in with her or nuzzle her - he really wants her to love him but he’s also a playful giant menace sometimes. The litterboxes are clean and easily accessible, they have a cat fountain and drink regularly, and the food & feeding routine although newish(it’s actually mostly wet food now which she wouldn’t even eat until about 2yrs ago) has been actually really good for the last month. Her coat is shinier and she stopped overgrooming so there is no longer a bald spot above her tail! All this to say I’m kind of at my wits end and don’t know what else to do. I’m including a pic of them cuddling that SHE actually initiated a couple of days ago - but she’s still absolutely horrible to him most of the time. |

Asking since I still sometimes get the same symptoms as before: bloating (mostly makes me burp), discomfort (not pain) just below the ribs, yellowish stool. However nausea and vomiting, both present in my GP attack, hasn’t reoccurred. Have to note I had my gallbladder removed back then. Should I get my pancreas/liver checked?

2024.06.01 11:46 AITA-sari AITA for not 'caring' about my 34 year old partner when he overexerted himself?
The partner in this story (M34) has a new personal trainer who is not a qualified nutritionist. This PT advised him to stop eating breakfast so he would see results faster (intermittent fasting). While that may work really well for some people, e.g. I often skip breakfast and eat my first meal at noon; I cannot stress enough how bad this advice is for my partner.
My partner is the sort of person who will get very lethargic if he's hungry, it impacts on his mood, his concentration - everything. He genuinely becomes a different person when he is hungry. My advice was that he would be able to achieve the same fast results if he tracked his calories and reduced them overall by the same amount. I make his breakfasts, they're between 400-500cals. He doesn't want to track his calories, because that is 'too hard'. He wants me to do it for him. Sorry but no.
So he skipped breakfast three days in a row, yesterday being the third day. In the evening he went to play football and played a particularly challenging match.
On the way home (10:30 at night) he started to feel dizzy and faint and rang me to let me know. I told him to eat something and go to his family home because it is a shorter drive (and because his mother will baby him when I don't. But I didn't say that part out loud). He said he has chewing gum and he wants to be in his own bed. Fine. I told him I was going to bed though.
He got home around 11:30—midnight. I was sleeping. He ate a single banana and had a shower. In the shower he started to feel faint again. Because of this, he proceeded to turn on ALL OF THE LIGHTS, and was walking around naked, shivering, and moaning LOUD like his appendix burst or like he broke something.
I woke up initially annoyed, then confused. I asked him what's wrong, fully expecting to see a broken limb. Instead of responding, he just kept moaning. No words. Eventually he was able to tell me that he is cold and feels faint. I got up, put a bunch of blankets on him in bed and gave him a tablespoon of honey. Shivering immediately subsided, and he fell asleep. It took me another two hours to go back to sleep after that.
This morning he tells me that I'm in the wrong because I was mad at him, not worried enough, and "not caring enough like his mum would have been". So even though I did everything right, and his symptoms had subsided quickly ... I'm a bad partner because I didn't baby the 34 year old. AITA?
I think I may be TA because I come from a slavic background where we were all outwardly "cold" to each other but I thought my actions last night showed care despite how I felt. So, Reddit, let me have it.

My partner is the sort of person who will get very lethargic if he's hungry, it impacts on his mood, his concentration - everything. He genuinely becomes a different person when he is hungry. My advice was that he would be able to achieve the same fast results if he tracked his calories and reduced them overall by the same amount. I make his breakfasts, they're between 400-500cals. He doesn't want to track his calories, because that is 'too hard'. He wants me to do it for him. Sorry but no.
So he skipped breakfast three days in a row, yesterday being the third day. In the evening he went to play football and played a particularly challenging match.
On the way home (10:30 at night) he started to feel dizzy and faint and rang me to let me know. I told him to eat something and go to his family home because it is a shorter drive (and because his mother will baby him when I don't. But I didn't say that part out loud). He said he has chewing gum and he wants to be in his own bed. Fine. I told him I was going to bed though.
He got home around 11:30—midnight. I was sleeping. He ate a single banana and had a shower. In the shower he started to feel faint again. Because of this, he proceeded to turn on ALL OF THE LIGHTS, and was walking around naked, shivering, and moaning LOUD like his appendix burst or like he broke something.
I woke up initially annoyed, then confused. I asked him what's wrong, fully expecting to see a broken limb. Instead of responding, he just kept moaning. No words. Eventually he was able to tell me that he is cold and feels faint. I got up, put a bunch of blankets on him in bed and gave him a tablespoon of honey. Shivering immediately subsided, and he fell asleep. It took me another two hours to go back to sleep after that.
This morning he tells me that I'm in the wrong because I was mad at him, not worried enough, and "not caring enough like his mum would have been". So even though I did everything right, and his symptoms had subsided quickly ... I'm a bad partner because I didn't baby the 34 year old. AITA?
I think I may be TA because I come from a slavic background where we were all outwardly "cold" to each other but I thought my actions last night showed care despite how I felt. So, Reddit, let me have it.

33F, 5’4”, 200lb… chronic cough for months. Initially provider thought cough was caused by heartburn but heartburn medication has not been helping. Cough produces white and yellow phlegm (mostly cleawhite—yellow in the morning). Friends, family, coworkers have all noticed my cough for months and wonder what is wrong. I finally decided to get looked at but it feels like my symptoms are being minimized.
Chest X-ray was normal.
Prescribed albuterol inhaler (by urgent care, not GP) and told to take mucinex DM by GP. Also taking Zoloft, Famotidine.
Symptoms: wheezing, shortness of breath, constant cough that isn’t helped with cough drops or suppressants, anxiety, depression, fatigue
Photo of spirometry results in comments. Do they look normal, as suggested by my doctor? Nurse had hinted at the time that they were below normal. Should I be seeking a second opinion?
I do occasionally smoke cannabis and have a high amount of allergies. Recently adopted a new dog as well and dogs are one of my top allergies. I take a daily Claritin.
Just really worried my symptoms are being minimized by GP. Of if I am sick, im worried I could have an infection or something that requires a steroid or antibiotic.

I was diagnosed with gastroparesis in 2021, my BMI was 12 or 13 and I nearly needed a feeding tube, I was vomiting everything up. Metaclopramide (Relgan) didn't work for me so I was put on Domperidone (Motilium) which definitely helped. I still had issues with vomiting daily but things improved with time and I was able to gain weight with meal replacement drinks. I also started gabapentin last year which helped with nausea and appetite so I'm back to a healthy weight.
My gastroenterologist gave me the go ahead to try to taper off the domperidone this year because I'm at a weight where its not dangerous if I flare up again. I vomit maybe once a month now and my symptoms are well controlled so I decided it was time to try to taper off. I'm 23 and want to reduce my reliance on medications where I can. But everytime I skip a dose, I get horrible migraines worse than usual (I have chronic migraines alongside POTS) and it almost always triggers a short period. I'm just wondering if anyone else has successfully tapered off domperidone without it setting off periods and migraines?
It stopped my periods for about 2 years so I know it has an impact on my hormones but even one missed dose will set off a change in hormones which I believe is the trigger for the migraines. Because I'm trying to taper off it slowly its a daily occurrence with a bad migraine being triggered and then feeling fine before I skip a dose the next day.
Any advice would be appreciated :)

I vomit maybe once a month now and my symptoms are well controlled so I decided it was time to try to taper off. I'm 23 and want to reduce my reliance on medications where I can. I(32M) have ulcerative colitis and primary sclerosing cholangitis. About two weeks ago on Friday I started feeling unwell and ended up having an episode of cholangitis, where I had pain in my upper right abdomen. I needed about a week to recover, during which I had issues with stomach upset come up time and time again. However on the next Sunday I started developing a fever after eating a bigger meal, and ended up vomiting for 1.5 hours in the early hours of Monday. I didn't have diarrhea on the other hand, which I believed was because I vomited everything up from what caused me to get sick.
Since then I have been slowly recovering, but whenever I tried to eat a bigger meal I would again start feeling sick and develop a fever. When I realized this connection I stuck to eating smaller meals again.
We got a blood test done, which revealed a high CRP(66 mg/L), and an elevated GPT of 113(U/L). My white blood cell counts were also elevated. A few days after the vomiting I had one night where I was itching on my hands and feet quite badly, and this morning my urine was brown, but generally I experienced no pain in my upper right abdomen since two weeks ago.
So why I am posting this is to just get a few pointers on where I should head next. I visited my family doctor during the previous week twice and we were on the conclusion that I was recovering from a bacterial infection of the stomach, and that everything should be okay now. Instead yesterday(on Friday) I felt well enough to go back to work, until eating a bigger meal gave me a fever again and made me realize I am still not well. I would go back to my family doctor of course, but I cant' do that until Monday. I will also be calling my hepatologist/gastroenterologist to consult with them.
I am mostly worried about this pattern of only being able to eat small meals, and that sometimes even small portions can make me sweat, and of course the fever induced by eating a larger meal. Can anyone please give some pointers? I wasn't prescribed any antibiotics, since we believed that with the vomiting having gone, I was already recovering.

Hi! I’m looking for your thoughts and if anyone has experienced what I’m going through these days. I have severe gas that worsens in the early morning and wakes me up while sleeping. The gas is constant all day regardless if I’m eating or not. I burp up gas pretty much all day long. It doesn’t stop.
This constant gas can cause heart palpitations that I believe is from a small hernia that I was diagnosed with a few years ago. I’ve had all of the tests from echo cardiograms to endoscopy tests. Only the endoscopy showed I have some redness from GERD in my stomach and esophagus. Nothing serious. I was subscribed PPI’s and H2 blockers but those made me worse. Not really on anything now besides the occasional Tums and GasX. Nothing really seems to work.
I've been experiencing these symptoms for years and have consulted three gastroenterologists, but none have been able to help. One diagnosed me with SIBO, so I took Xifaxan and changed my diet, and a follow up SIBO test came back negative but the severe gas remains. Interestingly, I rarely get heartburn; instead, I suffer from severe gas throughout the day, originating from my stomach. The gas isn't alleviated by Tums, GasX, Mylanta, or Pepto-Bismol. I find that keeping my stomach full helps reduce the discomfort, but that's not a solution. Dietary changes have been ineffective, and I feel pain in the mid-abdomen, around the small intestine area just below the rib cage from time to time. I don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for reading.
