Battery draining after software update
Updated my oppo A53 (4yrs old phone) yesterday and after installing the update my baterry was dranig 2x and the phoen was also heating like crazy. When checked battery usage a system applictaion called weather services was running in the background all the time and sucking the battery. And yes there is no way to uninstall it or disable it(its is a system application installed after update). So is this done intentinally by the company to damage my phone or is there any soultion to it. Just for context my phone was running perfectly fine before the update(it was only a security patch no OS update)šŸ˜¶šŸ˜¶

2024.05.20 09:15 sunttttare Toate etapele unui interviu la Microsoft

Salutare dragilor,
  1. Aplicare Am aplicat pe https://careers.microsoft.com/ la cateva job-uri ce tineau de partea de Software Engineering - nivelul 1, atat hibrid in Iasi cat si remote in tara.
Nimic savant aici.
Mi-a programat 4 interviuri tehnice in 4 zile consecutive. Interviurile au fost pe fusul orar american, cam toate au inceput la ora 20:00 a Romaniei. Which is great, pentru ca nu s-a suprapus deloc cu job-ul sau programul meu. In principal am avut System Design, Data Structures, Multithreading, OOP, Resume Talk & Behaviorial Questions.
Am primit o oferta verbala unde mi-a explicat toate compensatiile, cum functioneaza vesting-ul + alte beneficii. Total compensation (fara sign-on bonus): 249k RON brut/an.
Good luck and wish you all the best my fellow programmers!

2024.05.20 09:14 modzer0 Ever take a dogman to the vet?

I should not be writing this. I know they will be looking for me as soon as this goes live. I had to get the word out despite all the secrecy surrounding the project. I don't know what they'll do to me when they find me, but this has to get out.
I was unemployed vet tech looking for work when I came across a job listing offering a strangely large amount of money. What did I have to loose? I called the number and they gave me a website to go to that took me through an application process and a security clearance form that I had to fill out the last seven years of my life. They said it would be months until the clearance would come through but to my surprise a month later I got a phone call telling me I had been granted Interm Secret clearance and the job would proceed.
I had to go to a building without any name on it downtown and they took my photo for an ID card and a packet of information about where I was to go to the next day.
The next morning I drove to the address with a mix of excitement and apprehension. What about this job required a security clearance? Why had I gotten my interm secret so quickly? I figured I'd soon find out when I pulled up to a gate with a card reader. I swiped my ID and the razor wire topped gate slid open so I could pass. Yeah nothing ominous about that. I drove a mile or so down the road and parked in the parking lot in front of a building that looked like the set of a prison movie. The windows were narrow slits and I could tell from a distance that the door was very heavy duty. Thinking back a few minutes ago wasn't the top of that razor wire fence angled in as if to keep something in rather than people out?
I got out and approached the heavy door. I spotted the card reader and used my ID on it and it flashed green and there was a loud clunking sound from the door as it unlocked. I had to put some muscle behind it to get it to open and then it shut behind me followed by another loud clunk as the locks reengaged.
I turned to see a thick armored window with a guard staring me down.
"First day huh?" he asked me as he looked at his screen.
"Yeah," I said a bit nervously.
"Sit tight, your department head will be coming to pick you up and take you to your in-brief," he said.
"What uh, what is this place?" I asked.
"All that will be answered by the briefing so have a seat and relax. You're likely in the safest spot in the facility," he said.
I looked at the inner door and noticed it was just as thick and heavy as the outer one. I was essentially sitting in an armored booth so he was technically right about it being safe.
When my boss arrived he was wearing scrubs and had his ID card clipped to the bottom of the V of the top.
"So, you're my new tech?" he asked.
"Yes, Sir," I replied.
"Good, hopefully you follow instructions better than the last one," he said. "I'm Dr. Tanner. You can call me 'Sir' or 'Doctor'."
"Sir, can you tell me what I'll be doing here?" I asked.
"All in due time. First you need to complete the safety briefing. It is not a joke. Take a look at the windows and doors if you need convincing. The government doesn't spend this kind of money unless it's very necessary, and it is. You'll understand the need for it when I introduce you to our charges. I'm not going to tell you yet because I enjoy the look on people's faces when they get their first peak of what we're doing here," he said. "Now, for the safety briefing. Follow me."
He began to open the inner door when he stopped and looked back at me. "Do you have any electronic devices on you?"
"No Sir, the security documents instructed me to leave my phone and anything with a digital memory in the car," I said.
"Excellent, you're already demonstrating that you can follow directions," he said. Was that a hint of a smile I saw?
He lead me down the hallway to a room on the left and used his card to unlock and open the door. After I walked inside what appeared to be a conference room he followed me inside and let the door shut.
I immediately noticed the back of the door wasn't the usual thing one would expect to see. It had a big lever in the middle that looked like it operated bolts to secure the door shut. I started to wonder what the hell I had gotten myself into. I expected to be working with maybe the facility's guard dogs. This kind of security was on a level I hadn't experienced before.
"Good, you're observant, another plus," the doctor said.
He walked over to the table and picked up a recorder and pressed play. A trilling alarm sound came for it and he let it play for a few seconds before cutting it off.
"If you hear that sound along with flashing red lights you are to go to the nearest safe room, such as this one and use this lever to bolt the door," He walked over and pressed a button by the windows and the thick glass became opaque.
"And you are to opaque the windows with the control in the room so nothing can see in," he said and then pointed to a door on the other wall that had 'Emergency Supplies' written on it. "There you will find food, water, and other necessities if you happen to be locked down for an extended period of time. There is also a radio already set to the control room frequency. If the phone is not working pull the tab on the back of the radio so the battery makes contact and reports in with the information posted on the back of the door. That's basically who you are, where you are, and if there are any threats you know of near you. Otherwise sit tight unless told otherwise."
"Threats?" I asked.
"Our charges are out of containment or an external threat," the doctor replied.
"What's so dangerous that we need bunker rooms like this?" I asked.
"All in due time," he replied. "Have you ever used a tranquilizer gun?"
"No," I responded.
"No matter, you'd need to qualify on the two types we use anyway with the security team," he said.
"Why do we need tranquilizer guns?" I asked.
"The animals we work with are dangerous. They're sedated before they get to us and one of our tasks is to make sure they stay sedated until they're returned to the enclosure. If one wakes up and slips a restraint you are not going to want to go near it to give an injection. That's why we have tranq guns," The doctor said.
"That makes perfect sense to me," I said. My curiosity was burning wondering what we were working with. Had to be something like large predators to require this much security. A grizzly would be a plausible reason why the doors had the extra bars. The force they could produce could snap the usual latches.
"Good because it's time for my favorite part. Showing the new guy what we work with," the doctor said and led the way deeper into the facility and up a set of stars to a room labeled 'observation deck'.
"The windows are to remain frosted by the electronic controls there whenever the room is not in use. They cannot see in but they seem to know someone is watching them and it upsets them. It's best for everyone if they are not upset," He reached over and pressed the button and the electronic frosting cleared.
That's the moment where my brain completely derailed and I questioned my own sanity.
"W-Werewolves?" I asked.
"No, at least not at this facility. These are a lesser known cryptid called Dogmen, kind of like Bigfoot."
"Wait, is Bigfoot real?" I asked.
"Yes, but not nearly as widespread as 'sightings' would make you think," he said.
"If these exist, what else is real?" I asked him.
"That's beyond your need to know," he said sternly, but then his face softened. "I'll lend you a book later that contains everything we've confirmed and studied. After all, if you continue with this job you will have the opportunity to work with them in the future, and it's best you know what you're getting into," he said. "One benefit they probably haven't gotten around to telling you yet is that they will pay for your education. You can become a full veterinarian working with the most interesting creatures that exist," he said. "Not a bad gig, huh?"
"Except for the part where I'm working with large dangerous creatures," I said.
"Large, intelligent, dangerous creatures," he replied. "And that is why we have procedures and rules. Things like always having more sedative staged to inject if a patient starts to wake up, having them restrained at all times, and if they do wake up you have the tranq guns to put them back under without risking yourself," he said and tapped the control to frost over the glass again.
Our next stop was back in the conference room where there were now a couple of binders.
"Now for the boring part. Study these because you'll have to pass a test on them later. It's those procedures I mentioned. It covers everything from handling the animals, dosages we use, and why we can't leave after dark."
"Wait, we can't leave after dark?" I asked, a bit alarmed.
"There are dogmen in the woods surrounding this facility. The fence does a decent job of keeping them out but they do get in and they're not happy we have some of their kind captive. They're fairly shy during the day and become active at night so it's for your own safety that once the sun sets you stay here. We have secure rooms just for the occasion, and scrubs are not short in supply if you need a change of clothing. We have a mess hall staffed 24/7 by some excellent cooks. People who can do this job are rare so they take care of us. Now get to reading, you'll have to pass a test before you're allowed to work. I'll come pick you up for lunch."
I did as he said and spent the next few hours reading with a break for the promised lunch that was beef stroganoff and actually really good. I went for seconds. Then it was back to memorizing policy and procedures till I was finally done and managed a passing score on the test. That was followed by some time at an indoor range getting qualified on the tranq guns.
The doctor reviewed my test and nodded. "Excellent, you're a fast learner. We've rescheduled some things for tomorrow so we'll have the extra help. You head home and get a good night's rest. I'll see you in the morning in the veterinary section, just follow the signs it's easy to find," the doctor said.
I did as he said and drove home. I couldn't help but be a good deal more vigilant as I looked at the woods on the way out. Dogmen were out there and no one in the area except us knew. There were the cryptid hunters but they didn't know for sure like I did from seeing a pack close up.
Needless to say I didn't get a whole lot of sleep that night. My mind was racing with the possibilities of what was real from all of the stories.
In the morning I made breakfast and sat for a bit having to give myself a reality check that yesterday wasn't just a dream, so I finally picked up my keys and headed out. I drove down the lonely road and passed through the gate without incident. I parked my car and made my way through the security checkpoints and began following the signs to the Veterinarian department. As the doctor had said, it wasn't difficult to find.
There were three entrances all like airlocks that were long enough for a gurney. It didn't take long to figure out the purpose. If you had dangerous animals inside you wanted at least one door containment so they couldn't get past you and into the larger facility.
I went inside through the airlock like doors one at a time and found myself in a very familiar veterinary clinic though one that was very well stocked.
It was then that I met my other coworker, I'll call him Mike, who was sitting on a stool reading a magazine.
"Hey, you must be the new guy. I'm Mike," he said and I introduced myself.
"So, your first big day. You excited, or terrified?" Mike asked.
"A bit of both," I said honestly.
"Relax, by the time they get to us they've been pumped with enough drugs to drop an elephant. We take samples and the guards take them back out. Then we run the usual tests like any other animal. It's easy money," Mike said. "We're never in any danger."
"What about all of the procedures?" I asked.
"There's what's written down on paper and then there's what is practical and works. If we followed the checklist for every dogman that's brought in here it would just take us twice as long, and twice as long that it can wake up," Mike said. "So relax, I'll show you what you really have to do to streamline things."
What was I to say? He'd obviously been doing this for a long time and if his system worked who was I to question it?
Our first patient of the day made me the most nervous. The security team wheeled in a restrained female on a gurney right into the middle of our space then they backed out. Being the new guy I did the basics by checking heart rate, breathing, and looking into the eyes to make sure she was out cold. Everything was normal based on the numbers I had memorized.
Mike watched me, corrected my stethoscope placement a little and started drawing blood as soon as I was done. The moment he was done he buzzed the guards to take her back out while he labeled the samples.
"Less time they're in here the better so label your samples and fill out the papers once they're taken out," Mike said. "No need to have a dangerous animal laying around while we fill out forms."
"What about the extra sedative we're supposed to have ready?" I asked.
"The tranq guns are right there. Much safer to back off out of reach and just shoot them with another dose," Mike said. I couldn't fault his logic.
We had four more patients that day all went as smoothly as the first and I was beginning to relax. It was our last patient of the day when things went wrong.
It started normally with the guards rolling the male into our space and I took vitals and checked the eyes.
"Hey, I have some dilation here. I don't think he's under enough. Where's the sedative?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it. I'll be done before he realizes what happened," Mike said and undid one of the restraints a little so he could get to the vein. It was at that point things went horribly wrong. As soon as Mike inserted the needle the male woke up and jabbed it's hand upward catching Mike in the throat and spraying blood everywhere. I moved forward out of instinct to try and tighten the restraint when I felt a searing pain across my face and my right eye went red.
I stumbled back. Oh God had I lost my eye? I shook myself out of it long enough to badge through a door and throw the bolts before pressing the intercom button. "Creature out of containment in veterinary. I think Mike is dead. I'm hurt and need a medic!" I said before blacking out.
I don't know how long it was but when I woke up I was in a hospital room and the Veterinarian was sitting beside my bed.
"You're safe, you're in a hospital and just out of cosmetic surgery. You'll have some scars but it'll look like the result of a big cat. Your eye is fine."
"Mike?" I asked.
"Dead before any help would get to him. We have video of the whole thing including you questioning him multiple times on matters of procedure. Don't let someone senior intimidate you into not being safe. You have a month's paid leave to recuperate." he said.
So here I am. I need some advice. Should I go back to work after my leave is done or turn in my resignation? It won't take them much to figure out who I am if they find this post. I also don't know what they'll do to me if they do.

2024.05.20 09:13 Effective-Ad-2390 moving to billings in august. make me feel good about this decision please

I got a job at the university. I am a 24 year old female. I love exploring and new places and I have lived in a few different cities but for some reason Billings is making me nervous about being lonely and bored. I know, I know, only bored people get bored, but I just want to know that there are things to do and people to meet. give me all your best places and fun things to do. I have already done some research on the typical things to do and will be checking those out as well. but I want the secret local things if yall would so kindly offer
I like sports, bars w/ live music, good food, ciders, people, outdoors, and really iā€™ll try anything twice.
where should I rent? downtown? the north east side of town? I want to be close to everything but w/ a city like billing is feel like anywhere is close. is it worth it to be close to the bars and a more city-esque area where I can walk to places iā€™ll hang out in often or is it not the type of town. what things should I never do, and what things should I always do. give me all your ideas. I know you have a scheels but do you have any malls? is there a night life? any favorite bars? adult sports leagues? places to dirtbike? what side of town is considered a ā€œdonā€™t walk alone at night timeā€ zone.
if you think of anything else just comment. thank you guys !

2024.05.20 09:10 RedSiren2 Parent's Day is full of woe (fanscript/fanepisode) (spoilers) (part 4)

TW: Implication of alcoholism by the end
Scene: Outside the school walls. Xavier walks over the meadow to some of the seats where some of the friends, Wednesday included are sitting. Suddenly, Morticia appears by his side.
Morticia: My dear.
Xavier: (looking at her surprised) Ohā€¦
Gomez: (steps up next to him as well, smiling) We didnā€™t get a chance to talk last time.
Morticia: Itā€™s Xavier, right? Or Exavier?
Xavier: (blows out air) Whichever you prefer.
They chuckle a little.
Xavier: (smiles) Both is quite alright.
They smile and walk on with him. Morticia takes his arm meanwhile.
Gomez: Youā€™ve been keeping our little stormcloud company very well, weā€™ve heard?
Xavier: Yesā€¦ (smirks) ā€¦ I do. Still do, very much so.
Morticia: (looks at him for a moment, smiling, but a tad of somberness sneaks in) A lot of people do not bother to keep going with us like this.
Xavier: (smiles, shrugs) I guess thatā€™s just what I do.
Gomez: (looks at him for a long moment as well, then smiles and pats his shoulder) Must be your blood. Your father always took pride in his familyā€™s insistence to never back down from a fight.
Xavier: (sighs a little) He still does that as well.
Morticia: I remember his prowess in fencing. Not many could hold their ground against him ā€“ I heard you also fence?
Xavier: (nods) But my main thing is art, to be honest. I rather do sports on the side.
Gomez: Iā€™ve seen some of your work. (puts a hand on his back) Very kahlo, lovely.
Xavier: (chuckles)
Morticia: Itā€™s much like her work, save for the blood and skeletons.
Xavier: (chuckles a little) Thatā€™s reserved for my nightmare collection.
Morticia and Gomez: (very interigued) Oh?
They keep talking and chuckling as they walk slower. Wednesday watches them closely, with an expression hard to read. Eugene comes stomping over, without his moms, and flops down on the bench between her and Bianca.
Wednesday: (not turning to him) Have your moms left already?
Eugene: (coldly) Maybe. Iā€™m not talking to them any more today, so thereā€™s that.
Bianca: (looks at him)
Eugene: (looking at his phone, coldly) Itā€™s nice to get a say in something, right?
Bianca: Right.
Eugene: (cools down a little) How was it with you guys?
Bianca: (sighs) Donā€™t ask. I hope my mom doesnā€™t try to make any more conversation today as well.
Eugene looks at her, then presses her hand.
Wednesday: We had a talk with the principal. He decided to skip my late-night maraudering because he knew theyā€™d love it, and left it at that Iā€™m starting to have a bad influence on all of you.
Bianca and Eugene chuckle
Wednesday: Well, isnā€™t it true?
Bianca: Itā€™s awfully nice of him.
They exchange a smirk. Even Eugene smiles a little again. Ajax comes running over.
Ajax: Have you guys seen Enid?
Bianca: She went back to the castle a while ago, but I havenā€™t seen her since.
Ajax: (sighs, sits down and fetches his phone)
Xavier, Morticia and Gomez reach their group, still chatting cheerfully.
Xavier: (to Wednesday) Hey.
Wednesday: I see youā€™ve met my parents.
Xavier: Well met, Iā€™d say.
Gomez: Oh, Iā€™d say so too, dear boy.
Morticia: He really has the charm of his family.
Wednesday: (furrows her brows) Really?
Xavier rolls his eyes, but before he can say anything, Mrs. Sinclair arrives.
Esther: (to the group) Have you kids seen Enid? She ran out on us.
Wednesday: Already? Well done.
They exchange a glare.
Esther: Well (she looks around) I canā€™t expect your help, now can I?
Ajax looks down, so do Eugene and Xavier, but Bianca returns her glare.
Esther: You could at least check her Instagram. I'm sure she's posting about this day already. (sighs) (to Morticia and Gomez) Kids these days.
The group tenses up.
Morticia: (staying friendly) Now Essi, perhaps she just needs time to cool off.
Esther sighs, waves away and walks off, past the other bodyguard Barnes from the Thorpe entourage who is coming over with an elderly man in a suit using a walking stick.
Xavier: (notices them) (happily) Davis!
Barnes: (rolls his eyes) Just Davis indeed.
Xavier: (chuckles and hugs him) Sorry Barnes.
Barnes: (chuckles and pats his back) How are you, skinny. Ah, thereā€™s that backbone that I like.
Xavier: (chuckles, then turns to Davis, who hugs him with one arm while holding onto his stick)
Davis: Dear boy.
Xavier helps him to sit down on at the table.
Xavier: Howā€™s your rib?
Davis: Much better. I was well enough to drive, but finding a parking spot was a pain on itā€™s own.
Xavier: (chuckles, but then gets serious) All registers to get me back on track, right?
Davis: (sighs) So it would seem. Iā€™d tell you what to do, but ā€¦ you already know.
Xavier: (nods, then presses Davisā€™ hand, who smiles)
Morticia: Davis. Do you remember us?
Davis: (looks at the Addams spouses) Iā€™m quite sure I canā€™t recall every single time I went to bed in a once more squeaky clean house cursing both your family names.
Gomez: Pity. I remember the spider outbreak of 1990 very fondly.
Morticia: Oh, it was.
Davis: (shakes his head) And it seems this family doesnā€™t have quite enough of that yet.
Xavier: (rolls his eyes, wants to say something, but freezes, looking over Davisā€™ shoulder)
Vincent enters the meadow with Ced by his side, walking towards them. Around him, people turn and stare, some looking away quickly. Everyone seems a tad intimidated. Wednesday looks on, then turns to her parents ā€“ and freezes herself. Their expressions have dropped. Both of them look at Vincent with a mix of gloom and fear. He smiles at them, stopping before their group. Barnes goes to stand next to him again.
Vincent: The spouses Addams. How long has it been.
Gomez: (monotonely, but staying composed) Ten years, Vini.
Vincent: Well, we havenā€™t changed a bit, right?
Morticia: (smiling, but coldly) Certainly not.
Gomez: We thought you never attend parent day.
Vincent: (shrugs) Urgent family business called for it. Some PR adjustments, if you will.
Xavier frowns, looking down. Vincent smiles at the two of them still, but before he can say anything more, Ced catches something behind the back of his neck. Vincent ducks, and Barnes flinches. Ced is holding a pearl. Vincent shakes his head a little, amused, while Morticia cringes. Gabrielle peeks out next to Barnes, smirking at him.
Vincent: I thought I told you not to startle my bodyguards.
Gabrielle: Iā€™m quite sure I canā€™t recall.
He smiles, and she leans over to exchange a brief kiss on the cheek.
Vincent: My dear old school friend I will one day shed tears over publicly.
Gabrielle: I know you will. So ā€¦ also here on family business? (she looks at her daughter) Some teenagers to reel in?
Vincent: One, and thatā€™s one too much.
Gabrielle: (chuckles) Have kids, they said.
Xavier and Bianca look down, frowning.
Vincent: Meanwhile, I was going to have a talk with his friends. (checks his watch) Scheduled for now.
Bianca: (glaring at him) We told him to stay at school.
Vincent: (smiles a little at her, but his expression changes when speaking to her) Oh?
Bianca: Of course. (in the background, the Addams spouses observe this exchange with interest)
Eugene: We donā€™t condone this Xavier. Ermā€¦ behaviour.
Vincent: (chuckles) Neither do I kid, you have no idea.
Xavier: (shaking with rage) Are you done?
Vincent: Not exactly. I do want to speak to your friends. (he looks at Bianca, who returns his look. Then turns away) Mr. Ottinger.
Eugene: (looks up again, startled) Me?
Vincent: Have a walk with me. Iā€™d like for you to tell me something about yourself. Ced, you come with us.
Ced: Yes, sir.
Eugene: (a little nervous, gets up slowly and follows him as he walks away)
Wednesday turns and watches them walk away.
Xavier: (sighs) Of course.
Wednesday: What? What does this mean?
Xavier: Heā€™ll offer him an apprenticeship. My father is interested in people with special powers.
Wednesday looks on, then at her parents ā€“ they give her a warning look. She turns back, observing once more. Morticia however, manages to smile again.
Morticia: (to Bianca) My dear.
Bianca: Me?
Morticia: I heard you head the fencing club currently. Would you like to visit the old gym with me? Itā€™s been so long.
Bianca: (stares at her for a long moment) Sure.
They leave together. Wednesday looks on after them.
Cut to Lucas working at Weathervane. Sheriff Galpin walks in ā€“ slower than he used to. He stops at the counter and orders a black coffee. Lucas prepares it, looking at him concerned. Galpin thanks him quietly, then sits at the corner table. Lucas serves the next customer, then, after a moment of thinking, gets himself a coffee and sits down with him. They exchange a somber look. Galpin reaches into his pocket ā€“ then looks back up at Lucas, deciding not to add anything to his coffee. They sit in silence for a moment.
Galpin: Itā€™s all my fault. Everything.
Lucas: (looks at him)
Galpin: What do you say to that?
Lucas: I donā€™t know.
Theyā€™re silent for another moment.
Lucas: Maybe ā€¦ itā€™s not fair that you blame yourself more than the people who actually did something.
Galpin: (looks at him)
Lucas: She doesnā€™t feel bad about it.
Galpin: Thereā€™s still more I could have done, kid.
Lucas: So could I.
Galpin: Huh?
Lucas: I did things in my life Iā€™m not proud of. Nobody forced me to, but I did. Canā€™t undo those, so ā€“ Iā€™m looking ahead.
Galpin: (smiles) You have a lot to become happy about still. Not me.
Lucas: Not so sure.
Galpin: (looks at him) I am.
Lucas: (looks at him)
Galpin: If it helps, I ā€¦ I want that for you. Really do.
Lucas: (smiles)
Galpin: (sighs, looks out the window) I donā€™t know where to start, kid. Even ā€¦ even saying itā€™s my fault was hard.
Lucas: (shrugs) Itā€™s a start. Talking helped me with that.
Galpin: (looks out the window still, seeing cars pass by heading for Nevermore ā€“ then looks at Lucas) Whatā€™s your favourite coffee?
Lucas: What? Erm ā€¦ I guess the ā€¦ the moccachino with walnut syrup? Itā€™s nice.
Galpin: (searches his pocket and fetches a 10 dollar bill) Here. (he hands it to him) Keep the change. Get yourself one of those, and ā€¦
Lucas: (looks at him, surprised)
Galpin: ā€¦ and then tell me stuff. Whatever you like.
They exchange another somber, but gentle look ā€“ then Lucas smiles.
Lucas: Alright.
He goes to prepare his coffee.
Galpin: Thank you, Lukes.
Lucas: (stills for a moment, then smiles again) Youā€™re welcome.

I recently got a chance to use this beautiful vanity desk with a mirror and lights in my room, and it has completely transformed my getting-ready routine. The vanity desk is the perfect size for any room, offering plenty of storage space with its 4-layer deep cabinet, open side shelves, and cloth art storage bag. It's made from premium MDF wood, which not only gives it a sleek and stylish look but also ensures it'll last for years to come.
One of the standout features of this vanity set is the large, tri-folding HD mirror. With three lighting options - cool white, warm yellow, and ice blue - it offers full illumination, perfect for makeup or styling. The touchscreen button makes it easy to change the light colors and brightness levels.
Another convenience factor is the charging station, which includes a USB port, a type-C port, and a wireless charger. This allows me to connect and charge all my devices while enjoying my makeup routine.
This vanity desk is not only stylish and functional but also great value for money. The girl-style design, solid construction, and modern look make it the perfect addition to any dressing area. Plus, it's available in a space-saving corner design, making it an ideal choice for those short on space.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with my new vanity desk with a mirror and lights. It's easy to assemble, and the detailed instructions provided make the process quick and straightforward. When I first set up the Rovaurx Makeup Vanity Desk, I was immediately impressed with its sleek design and the bright, colorful hues that the dimmable lights cast on my mirrored vanity. This is not just any makeup desk, but a true vanity experience that makes me feel like a glamour girl each time I sit down to do my makeup.
What I loved most about this vanity is the built-in light strip, which eliminates the need to install LED bulbs. It gives the vanity an effortless, seamless look that complements any modern decor perfectly. Plus, the dimmable lights make it incredibly versatile, allowing me to adjust the brightness according to my preference and the time of day.
Another great feature is the anti-toppling fitting on the back of the dresser. It provides added safety and peace of mind, ensuring that my family remains secure while using this stylish vanity. Additionally, the two storage drawers offer plenty of space for organizing my makeup and accessories, keeping everything easily accessible and clutter-free.
However, there is one aspect that could use improvement. The charging station, while convenient, is situated quite low on the desk. This could be better, allowing for more comfortable charging of my electronic devices. Overall, though, I am very satisfied with this stylish and practical vanity table that makes getting ready feel like a glamorous event every day.

šŸ”—Luxurious LED Vanity Set for Kids

Once upon a time, I transformed my daughter's room into a magical dressing haven with the Member's Mark Vanity Set with LED lights. Its unbreakable acrylic tri-fold mirror and spacious storage made it the perfect place for her to play dress-up.
The sturdy wooden construction ensured it would withstand her energetic play, while the easy assembly meant I could have it up and running in no time. Although she's no lightweight, the stool comfortably held her up to 70 pounds.
The vanity set not only added functionality but also style to her room, making it an essential addition for kids who love to play dress-up. However, it was a bit hard to maneuver due to its large size.
Despite that, the Member's Mark Vanity Set has been a cherished part of her playtime.

I've been using this stylish White Makeup Vanity Desk with Lights for a while now, and I must say that it has definitely made my makeup routine more glamorous and efficient. One of the things that stood out to me was the adjustable LED lights on the mirror, which not only look amazing but also provide me with enough light to see every detail of my makeup application.
I also love the spacious drawers that come with this makeup vanity, as they help me keep all my beauty products organized and easy to find. The vanity table itself is made of high-quality wood and metal, which gives it a sturdy and durable feel. Plus, it can be used as a desk or console table when needed.
On the downside, some users have mentioned that the assembly process can be a bit time-consuming, but after putting it together, I found that it was worth the effort. Overall, this White Makeup Vanity Desk with Lights has been a game-changer for my morning routine.

I recently got the chance to try out the MIRROTOWEL Vanity Desk with Mirror and LED Light Strip, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my daily makeup routine! This sleek and stylish vanity desk has quickly become my go-to spot for getting ready in the morning, and I couldn't be more thrilled with it.
The first thing I noticed about the vanity desk was its high-quality craftsmanship. Made from eco-friendly wood, it's not only sturdy and reliable, but also adds a touch of elegance to my space. Plus, the built-in LED light strip ensures that I always have the perfect lighting for applying makeup, regardless of the time of day or the amount of natural light in the room.
The large drawer on the vanity desk has also been an absolute lifesaver for storing all my beauty essentials. With three levels of storage, I can keep everything organized and easily accessible, making my morning routine a breeze.
However, there were a few minor issues I encountered with this vanity desk. One downside was the adjustable lighting modes, which I found a bit tricky to operate at first. Additionally, the vanity desk is quite large, so it may not be the best fit for smaller spaces.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the MIRROTOWEL Vanity Desk with Mirror and LED Light Strip. Its stylish design and high-quality craftsmanship make it a great addition to any makeup enthusiast's space. While there are a few minor cons, the pros definitely outweigh them, making this vanity desk worth considering for anyone in need of a stylish and functional space to get ready.

I must say, I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase! The vanity has more than enough space for all my cosmetics, skincare products, and hair items, plus its clean, contemporary design fits perfectly with my room's aesthetic.
One feature that really stood out for me is the expandable countertop, which gives me extra space when needed. With six spacious drawers, keeping my beauty essentials organized has never been easier. Despite not having a mirror or bench included, the overall functionality and style of this vanity make it worth every penny. I especially appreciated the stylish finish of the vanity which adds a touch of sophistication to my room.
However, as with any product, there were a few cons. Assembly was a bit time-consuming, but it wasn't too difficult. Additionally, the sturdiness of the drawers could be improved, but for the price, it's a minor issue.
Overall, I'm super happy with my new FUFU&GAGA 86.6-inch White Makeup Vanity (KF260111-01) and it has definitely made my morning routine more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable and stylish makeup vanity that offers ample storage space and convenience.

The 6-drawer cabinet provides ample storage space for all of my cosmetics, brushes, and accessories, making it easy to keep my vanity neat and tidy. Plus, the side storage shelf allows me to display my favorite products and have them within reach while I'm getting ready.
The adjustable width of the vanity means it fits perfectly in my room, and it even doubles as a nightstand on the right side. It's such a convenient and stylish addition to my space, and I've received so many compliments from friends and family. Not only is this vanity beautiful, but it's also functional, making it the perfect gift for a special someone on their birthday or a special day.
While I love the overall design and storage capacity of this vanity, one small drawback is that it can be a bit difficult to assemble. However, the detailed instructions and labeled hardware help make the process more manageable, and I'm confident that it will be worth the effort once it's all set up. Overall, I highly recommend the Makeup Vanity Desk with Mirror and 3-Color Lights for anyone looking to add a touch of glamor and functionality to their home.

I recently got my hands on the Ktaxon Vanity Jewelry Wooden Makeup Dressing Table Set and let me tell you, it's like a glamorous addition to my room! The first thing that catches your eye is its sleek and contemporary design, which instantly makes you feel like a movie star getting ready for a red-carpet event.
One of the features that stood out for me was the multi-functionality of this piece. Not only can you use it as a vanity to admire your reflection, but there's also a hidden space within the mirror where you can store all your jewelry. It's like having your own secret fashion treasure chest!
I must say, it made an excellent gift idea for my friend who loves fashion and makeup. She was absolutely thrilled to receive such a chic and stylish vanity set. Plus, its lovely appearance in white makes it easy to match with any existing furniture and dƩcor in your room.
Another aspect that I really appreciate is the ample storage space provided by this vanity table. All you need to do is attach the legs and mirror, and voilĆ ! You've got yourself a glamorous vanity set ready for action.
However, there are a few things that could be improved upon. Some users reported issues with the durability of the material, while others found the instructions difficult to follow. Additionally, the vanity table might not be the sturdiest option out there, which could pose safety concerns for some people.
Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, I believe the Ktaxon Vanity Jewelry Wooden Makeup Dressing Table Set is an excellent choice for anyone looking to spruce up their room with a touch of Hollywood glamour.

I recently got my hands on the FUFU&GAGA Vanity Set with Stool and Mirror in Pink, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my morning routine. This vanity set boasts a sleek modern design that perfectly complements my bedroom aesthetic. The sturdy construction of MDF gives it good stability and durability, so I don't have to worry about anything toppling over or collapsing under the weight of my makeup collection.
One thing that really stood out for me is the ample storage this vanity set provides. With five spacious drawers, I can finally keep all my lipsticks, eyeshadows, curlers, accessories, makeup brushes, and more organized and within reach. Plus, the mirror is just the right size and brightness for doing my makeup and skincare routines in the morning.
On the downside, I did notice that the quality of the stool could be improved. It feels a bit wobbly compared to the vanity itself. Also, when I received the package, it had some minor damages, which was disappointing. I tried contacting the company to see if they could help, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get in touch with them.
Overall, if you're looking for a stylish and functional vanity set that won't break the bank, the FUFU&GAGA Vanity Set with Stool and Mirror in Pink is worth considering. Just keep in mind that the stool might need a little extra support, and you might want to be extra careful when unboxing it to avoid any surprises!

I recently upgraded my beauty station with the Akaden Fey LLC Makeup Vanity with LED Light Grey, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. As a makeup enthusiast, I've always wanted a stylish and efficient vanity that's not only a perfect blend of form and function but also adds a touch of luxury to my room. This vanity checks all those boxes.
What stood out to me initially was the spacious design. The ample storage spaces cater to more than 40 types of cosmetics and jewelry. The 2 large drawers and a side cabinet allow me to keep everything organized, from lipsticks and necklaces to skincare products and books. Plus, the large glass desktop provides enough space for all my daily essentials.
The built-in RGB lighting is another highlight that I absolutely love. It not only creates a relaxing atmosphere but also allows me to adjust the colors and brightness according to my mood. It's perfect for special occasions, parties, and live broadcasts as well.
However, assembling the vanity might require some patience and time. The instructions provided could be clearer, and some parts are a bit heavy to handle. Despite these minor cons, the Akaden Fey LLC Makeup Vanity with LED Light Grey has truly enhanced my makeup experience.

I recently got my hands on the Impressions Vanity SlayStation Duet Vanity Desk with Drawers for Bedroom, and I must say it has transformed my bedroom into a glamorous beauty oasis. The moment I laid my eyes on it, I knew I had to make it mine.
The first feature that caught my attention was the glass top drawer, which allowed me to showcase my favorite makeup products prominently. Plus, the hutch with a clear-view glass door and two shelves inside added an extra touch of sophistication to my vanity setup. The spacious glass top surface of this vanity table provided ample room for mounting or holding an extra-large vanity mirror, making it perfect for application of my makeup essentials.
One of the pros of this vanity desk is its sturdiness. It feels really solid and well-built, offering reassurance that it will stand the test of time. This is reinforced by its sleek design and harmonious lines, which contribute significantly to its elegance and class.
However, I encountered a minor con with the first top drawer being a bit tight. It was not a deal-breaker, but it did require some adjustments to make everything fit comfortably.
In terms of user reviews, there have been mixed experiences. While some customers praised the vanity's attractiveness and craftsmanship, others reported issues with missing parts, poor customer service, and the lack of sturdiness.
In conclusion, the Impressions Vanity SlayStation Duet Vanity Desk is a beauty enthusiast's dream come true. Its stunning design, spacious glass top surface, and elegant display options justify its price tag. However, potential buyers should be aware of the reported issues with missing parts and subpar customer service. Overall, it is an attractive addition to one's vanity collection, if assembled correctly and completed with all necessary parts.

As someone who adores makeup and has a growing collection, I decided to give Vabches Makeup Vanity Table a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the combination of elegance and practicality. The built-in charging station was especially handy, allowing me to easily power my phone, hairdryer, and LED lights all at once.
The large mirror with Hollywood lights was another highlight. The dimmable LED bulbs have three color modes, which made it perfect for different lighting situations, whether I was preparing for work in the morning or getting ready for a night out. The anti-tip device behind the mirror provided peace of mind, knowing it could be secured safely on the wall.
Storage was plentiful, with a spacious drawer and three shelves. The soft cushioned stool offered extra space for storing my makeup and skincare products. The charming white vanity matched perfectly with my bedroom decor and has made getting ready every day a lot more enjoyable.
However, assembly wasn't a breeze. The instructions were a bit confusing, so it took some time to put everything together. Additionally, the quality of the white finish isn't the best; it could have been more durable.
Overall, I'm happy with my Vabaches Makeup Vanity Table. Its storage capability, variety of lighting options, and convenient charging station have made it a valuable addition to my morning routine. If you're looking to revamp your getting ready space, this vanity could be just what you need.

2024.05.20 09:08 bignoseenergy How to completely change yourself in your 20s?

I (23F) am so tired of the way I am. I struggle with a lot of self-loathing, and I want to change desperately. I was always a good student and thought I was pretty special and I would do great things in life, but I never realised that I was just passing exams and getting things over with, and never really found or worked on any passions, never built a personality of my own and now I'm a shell. I did great in college, even got an MBA from a great college, but once I started my first job, I got a really bad reality check - all the talent, intelligence, or skills I thought I had - it was all a sham. Now I'm stuck in a cycle of despair and not feeling motivated to do anything about it. I feel like everyone hates me and I hate myself and I'm really fucking tired of it all.
I know therapy might help but I've tried so hard to find a good therapist and failed. Almost every 'motivational' story I hear about people who were probably much worse off than me but still went on to have great lives and success seems to imply that these people found some inner, hidden passion or secret talent at a young age and proved everyone wrong.
I can't help but wonder - can I hope to change myself, find some passion/talent and become who I thought I could at this age? I know I'm young, but sure doesn't feel like I can, or at least I have absolutely no clue how to do it. I want to stop daydreaming and actually work towards a good life - don't know where to start.

2024.05.20 09:03 Existing-Shift4707 ULPTREQUEST Was fired for theft but the store shut down. How do I go about hiding being fired from future employers?

To make a long story short, I was fired for theft at a chain store. It wasnā€™t anything like embezzlement or stealing from out of the register, but I did techinally steal from the store. The shop ended up being shut down and relocated to another branch after I left. I was a pretty decent employee save for that one incident. As of right now, Iā€™m looking into some entry level office jobs and Iā€™ve been upfront but havenā€™t been getting any responses after the initial interviews. The only reason Iā€™m even bothering keeping the job on my resume is because I donā€™t have much formal work experience. Since the store is no longer around and being honest is clearly not working, how can I spin the story of why I got fired around? Or is there a way to ensure that prospective employers donā€™t find out my reason for being fired during background checks?

2024.05.20 09:02 dzanis Strange adhesion issue [newbie with Ender 3 Pro]

Greetings everyone,
So I have adhesion issue, but seems counterintuitive for me (but I'm totally new with this, so I hope to gain wisdom from experienced folk here): The test line and the line surrounding the planned line are good and smooth and well-sticking every time, but the print itself does not stick and it just drags around the ectruding plastic.
What is counterintuitive for me is that it printed the benchmark xyz 20mm cube adequately well, and the benchmark boat thingy as well. All other prints fail in same fashion, then I tried xyz cube again and it goes well, other prints fail althoung their side lines are good. How can it be that those lines stick very well, but print itself does not?!
My question is: what else should I try? Is there some additional "safe" blueprints that should be tried?
Friend suggested buying new buildplate and that is one way to go, but first I would like to check if there is some more things to try with settings or calibration that may solve it.
What I tried: After reading internet/reddit advice about adhesion issues, for last week I tried: (all separately) cleaning buildplate with soap and water; cleaning with IPA, using hairspray; using glue stick; releveling bed after each time; increasing inital layer height to 0.3mm; reducing intial layer speed to very slow 5mm; printing in different buildplate corners. All without improvement.
Background: Bought used Ender 3 Pro from friend; it has some upgrades (direct drive, silent motherboard), am using Cura.

šŸ”—Stack-On Beveled 18-Gun Security Cabinet - Protect Your Valuables

https://preview.redd.it/ggwlu92d4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=057e80d99c53b971637032eef3f392d51a014be7
The Stack-On Beveled 18-Gun Security Cabinet, Steel, is a reliable and durable option for storing your rifles, shotguns, pistols, and other valuable belongings. The exterior finish is a sleek black, and the interior is spacious with an abundance of storage options. One of the main draws of this cabinet is its strong security features, including a key-coded cylinder lock and 4-way door locking system.
However, the most disappointing aspect of this cabinet is its build quality. The thin metal sheets and weak locking mechanism make it an untrustworthy option for securing your precious firearms and valuables. I had high hopes for this cabinet, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I found the installation process to be somewhat difficult and time-consuming as well.
On a positive note, the steel shelves are a nice touch for added durability and support. They make it easier to organize your firearms and accessories, and the adjustable half-width shelves allow for customization. Additionally, the molded barrel rests and foam-padded bottom provide an extra level of protection for your antique firearms.
Unfortunately, the interior design is not as well thought out as it could be. The placement of the barrel rest holes is not ideal for all firearms, and some users have noted that the paint job inside the cabinet is of poor quality, leading to rust formation.
Overall, while the Stack-On Beveled 18-Gun Security Cabinet, Steel, has its merits, the build quality and installation process are significant drawbacks that cannot be ignored.

šŸ”—Top-rated, affordable gun safe with robust security features

I recently had the opportunity to put the Fort Knox PB1 Handgun Safe to the test, and I must say I was impressed with its durability and functionality. This safe's 10-gauge steel body and 3/16-inch wraparound door make it practically impossible to break open, ensuring that your valuable firearms are well protected. I particularly enjoyed the gas-strut-assisted heavyweight door, which makes lifting the door a breeze and holds it open for easy access.
The Simplex push-button mechanical locking system is a winner in my book. It's fast and easy to use, providing up to 1,081 different combinations to keep your safe secure. The textured grey powder coat finish adds an elegant touch while still exuding a sense of strength and quality. The interior features egg crate foam lining to protect your firearms, guns, and magazines from scratches and damage.
One of the standout features for me was the convenience of pre-drilled holes for easy bolting down. It made setting up the safe a breeze and allowed me to feel confident that it wouldn't be going anywhere. The only downside I experienced was the limited number of combination possibilities, which could potentially make it easier for someone with ill intentions to access the safe. Still, this safe's overall build and security features outweigh this minor inconvenience.
The Fort Knox PB1 Handgun Safe is the perfect solution for gun owners looking for a reliable and strong safe to protect their firearms. With its sleek design and impressive construction, this safe is truly the best bang for your buck.

šŸ”—Top-Class Secure 5-Gun Storage

I've had the pleasure of using this gun safe in my home for quite some time now, and I must say, it's been a reliable companion. The first thing that stands out is the 3-directional bolt system. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my firearms are securely locked away. Plus, the high strength steel construction ensures durability, even in the face of potential wear and tear.
One feature that I absolutely love is the soft foam pad at the bottom. Not only does it provide a cushioned resting place for my weapons, but it also helps maintain their condition over time. The holes for mounting to the wall and/or floor are another great addition. This gives me the flexibility to install the safe wherever I see fit, whether it's in my bedroom or living room.
However, no product is perfect. There are some aspects of this gun safe that could be improved. For instance, the keyed access can be a bit cumbersome at times. While it does offer an added layer of security, it can also be a nuisance if you misplace the key.
In conclusion, this affordable 5-gun safe from American Furniture Classics has been a worthwhile investment for me. Its robust construction and secure 3-directional bolt system make it an ideal choice for those looking to store their firearms safely and securely. While the keyed access may require some getting used to, the overall quality and performance of this product are well worth the cost.

I recently needed a gun safe for my firearms and I stumbled upon the VEVOR 6 Gun Safe. As a responsible gun owner, I always prioritize my gun's security. The VEVOR Gun Safe not only promised advanced security features but also boasted a durable construction.
What stood out to me the most was the dual-lock system, both with a fingerprint and digital keypad. This feature ensures that only authorized individuals can access the safe, providing an added layer of protection. The dimensions of the safe were perfect for storing my firearms, fitting them perfectly without any issues.
However, there was one downside: it was a bit heavier than I expected. At 82 lb, it required some effort to move around when needed. But overall, the VEVOR Gun Safe served its purpose by protecting my valuable firearms and my loved ones. I would highly recommend it to any gun owner looking for a reliable and secure storage solution.

šŸ”—Heavy-Duty 5-Gun Metal Security Cabinet

As a first-time gun owner, I was in the market for a small and affordable security cabinet. I came across the American Furniture Classics 5 Gun Starter Metal Security Cabinet and decided to give it a try. I must say, this cabinet has exceeded my expectations in terms of its 3-point locking system, which keeps my firearms safe and secure. The cabinet is made from high-quality black powder-coated paint, making it both attractive and durable.
One of the standout features of this cabinet is its soft foam barrel rest and carpeted floor, which protects my long guns from scratches and damage. It's also fully assembled right out of the box, so I didn't have to worry about any confusing instructions nor spend hours putting it together. Additionally, it includes four expansion bolts to secure it to the floor, providing even more peace of mind.
However, there are a few cons to consider. Some users have reported issues with the cabinet's build quality, stating that the metal seems thin and may not withstand a determined break-in attempt. Additionally, the cabinet's lock mechanism has been described as "flimsy" by some, leaving me slightly concerned about the overall security it provides.
In conclusion, the American Furniture Classics 5 Gun Starter Metal Security Cabinet has become an essential part of my home, providing a secure and affordable storage solution for my long guns. While it may not be the most robust option on the market, it provides more than enough security for everyday use.

šŸ”—Affordable Gun Safe with Dual Lock Security and Built-In Storage

https://preview.redd.it/8zwoslxe4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=953c2adb6e894cbec464cf136a62514b6d267cd3
Imagine you're a serious gun owner who values both your firearms and the safety of your family. You've searched tirelessly for a reliable storage solution, but most are either too complicated or too expensive. That's where the VEVOR 6 Gun Safe comes in - a practical, stylish, and affordable option.
Opening the safe, you're greeted by a spacious interior, with ample room for your rifles and pistols on the adjustable shelves. You appreciate the versatility, allowing you to customize the storage according to your needs. However, you also notice that shorter firearms fit perfectly, but longer ones might not find enough space unless you remove the pistol shelf.
Securing the safe is a breeze. The dual-lock system, which includes both a fingerprint and digital keypad, provides both convenience and security. It makes you feel confident that your family and valuable firearms are well-protected.
Making the VEVOR 6 Gun Safe even more appealing is its solid construction. The exterior has a sleek black finish that adds a touch of sophistication to your home. The wall thickness is sturdy at 0.04 inches. However, you notice that the metal used in the construction does not have a specific classification, which may leave some wondering about its durability.
In conclusion, the VEVOR 6 Gun Safe is a worthy investment for those seeking an affordable, practical, and reliable firearm storage solution. Though it might not be perfect for everyone, its strengths outweigh the minor drawbacks, making it a satisfying addition to your home security.

šŸ”—Winchester 26 Long Gun Safe - Secure and Spacious Storage for Your Firearms

https://preview.redd.it/vlz2h5jf4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61b6c3261b8ae2a45f8e324d6ca5ee7db5ac9a38
As a reviewer who has been using the Winchester 36 Long Gun Safe in my daily life, I can confidently say that this is a great investment for anyone looking to keep their firearms and valuables secure. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the sleek, powder-coated gun metal gray finish, which added a stylish touch to the safe while also enhancing its durability.
One of the standout features of this gun safe was its electronic lock with an override key. Having both an electronic keypad and a backup key gives me peace of mind knowing that I won't be locked out in case of a power failure or if the electronic lock fails. The solid steel locking bolts provided robust security, ensuring that my firearms are kept safe and secure at all times.
The interior of the safe was spacious enough to accommodate up to 26 long guns, making it an ideal choice for gun enthusiasts and collectors alike. Additionally, the adjustable shelves allowed me to customize the layout according to my needs, providing ample storage for other valuables as well.
However, there were some cons worth mentioning. The door of the safe had a bit of play in it when closed and locked, which could be improved upon in future models. Furthermore, the instruction manual could have been more comprehensive, especially when it came to resetting the combo on the electronic lock.
Overall, I would recommend the Winchester 36 Long Gun Safe to anyone looking for a reliable, well-made safe with ample storage and good security features. It may not be perfect, but at this price point, it's hard to beat.

šŸ”—Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with Anti-Theft Electronic Lock

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW, and I must say, I was impressed. This fireproof and waterproof safe is perfect for gun enthusiasts who want to protect their precious belongings from potential damage.
One of the most impressive features of this safe is its backlit electronic lock, which comes with an Alarm-U function. The alarm notifies you of any attempted theft, and the backup key provides an extra layer of security. I loved that it offered external hinges, allowing for a full 180-degree opening, making it effortless to access my safe.
The interior door storage and 3-spoke handle design were another bonus that I found extremely useful. Additionally, the safe is equipped with 3 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts that effectively deter any potential intruders.
However, I did notice that the safe is quite heavy, which can make transportation difficult. The size of the box also seemed to be larger than originally estimated, which was a bit of a hassle.
Overall, my experience with the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW has been positive. I feel confident that my valuables are safely guarded, thanks to its impressive fire and water resistance capabilities. While there were a few minor drawbacks, they do not outweigh the fantastic features of this safe.

šŸ”—Secure 3 Rifle Gun Cabinet with Digital Lock

https://preview.redd.it/4aq91zng4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcd2ac3ca2e89341c095d3031776004bd3b115ab
Nestled within the realm of personal security, the VEVOR 3 Rifles Gun Safe has been an invaluable ally in safeguarding my collection of firearms. Its digital keypad and robust construction create an aura of safety, providing me with peace of mind. The quick access feature has proven incredibly useful, especially during those moments when every second counts.
It's hard not to rave about its craftsmanship, a crucial aspect that never ceases to impress. The removable shelf, ammo storage box, and pistol rack make organization a hassle-free affair. However, one minor drawback - the locking mechanism could benefit from a more secure two-way system for enhanced security. Despite this, it's a reliable storage solution that ensures my loved ones remain protected from accidental access.

šŸ”—Classic Solid Wood Gun Cabinet

https://preview.redd.it/76sz9m6h4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc27ed8e36290b4186da3f9750d9eae0a5909930
As a firearm enthusiast who wanted a stylish and secure way to store my guns, I was excited to try out the American Furniture Classics 8 Gun Cabinet. I have to say, this piece of furniture definitely added an elegant touch to my living room, while keeping my guns locked away and out of reach from unwelcome hands.
The first thing that caught my eye was the quality craftsmanship of the cabinet; it's made from solid wood and wood veneers, which gives it a rich, timeless finish. The careful design of the gun organizers ensures that each of my rifles are held steadily in place, with felt-lined butt plates and barrel rests preventing any potential scratches or scuffs.
One feature that I particularly appreciated was the tempered glass front, allowing me to proudly display my collection while still keeping them safely behind a fully-locking key lock system. The capacity to store up to 8 long guns made it perfect for my collection, without taking up too much space in my home.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The instructions were a bit cryptic, making the assembly process slightly more challenging than it needed to be. Additionally, the storage capacity is limited, so I wasn't able to fit as many scoped rifles/shotguns as I would have liked.
Overall, the American Furniture Classics 8 Gun Cabinet has been a stylish and secure way to store and display my guns, bringing both elegance and practicality into my home. Despite the small issues with assembly and limited storage, I would still recommend this cabinet to anyone looking for a high-quality gun storage solution.

šŸ”—American Furniture Classics 16 Gun Metal Cabinet

https://preview.redd.it/7bb6yelh4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11f0df0dfe6263561b58977c876d46497a1a9222
I've been using the American Furniture Classics 16 Gun Metal Cabinet for a while now, and let me tell you, it's been quite an experience. This classic design, featuring a scratch-resistant black finish with gold accents, certainly stands out in my living room. The cabinet interior and door back are adorned with wood grain paneling accents, which add a touch of elegance.
Now, when it comes to setting up this cabinet, I must admit, it wasn't the easiest task. The instructions were quite lackluster, leaving me to figure out a lot of things on my own. However, once I got the hang of it, the assembly process became relatively smooth. The cabinet is solidly built with heavy-duty materials, making it sturdy and reliable.
The cabinet is designed to hold 16 guns, and it definitely delivers on that promise. I was able to store various types of rifles and shotguns without any issues. However, one downside is that it doesn't accommodate modern sporting rifles with scopes or magazines attached. So, if you're primarily looking to store those types of firearms, you might need to look for a different cabinet.
Another con worth mentioning is the door quality. While the door is sturdy, it doesn't close completely, leaving a small gap. This may not be a significant issue for everyone, but it's something to keep in mind.
On the positive side, the cabinet offers ample storage space and can easily be secured to the wall or floor. The locking mechanism, although not the most secure, is sufficient for keeping young children away from the guns.
Overall, I would recommend the American Furniture Classics 16 Gun Metal Cabinet to anyone looking for a stylish and functional gun display case. While there are a few drawbacks to consider, the cabinet's affordability and ample storage capacity make it a worthwhile investment.

SnapSafe Under Bed Safe was a game-changer for me. I wanted to keep my valuables secure but also easily accessible, and this product fit the bill perfectly. Its sturdy construction with heavy-duty steel and pre-drilled bolt holes made it a reliable option for permanent installation. The digital lock was a standout feature, with its programmable 3 to 8 digit access code and key backup. It also featured a pry-resistant door, which added peace of mind by keeping unauthorized users at bay, especially children. However, one downside that I noticed was the audio beeps, which could be a bit noisy at times.
Using the SnapSafe Under Bed Safe in my daily life was trouble-free. The large slide-out drawer accommodated a variety of items, from firearms and jewelry to documents, giving me the flexibility I needed for secure storage. The interior space was more than enough, and the exterior dimensions enabled it to fit neatly under my bed, taking up minimal space.
Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for an under bed safe that offers both security and convenience. It may not be perfect, with the audio beeps being a minor drawback, but it certainly gets the job done and provides the peace of mind I was seeking.

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to securing your firearms, a cheap gun safe is an affordable solution. However, not all budget safes are equally reliable or practical. In this guide, we'll help you navigate the world of bargain gun safes, considering their features, construction, security, and more.

Security Rating

https://preview.redd.it/lo7yjcom4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e33797c73995919e044126e4ba72b717887b7683
The first thing you should look for when searching for a cheap gun safe is the security rating. While it's true that most economical safes don't have the high-end security features of their more expensive counterparts, there are still options with a reasonable level of protection.
Common security ratings for safes include ETL, UL, and BSI certifications. Look for safes with a combination of good construction and locking mechanisms. You should also consider the thickness of the door and walls, as this plays a significant role in preventing forced entry.

Type of Lock

Gun safes often use various types of locks, including electronic locks, dial locks, and key locks. For a cheap safe, a key lock is usually the most secure option. However, electronic locks can be convenient for frequent use, especially if you forget the combination frequently.
Electronic locks tend to be more vulnerable to electronic attacks, so if you choose this option, ensure that you have a good backup system in place, such as a set of spare batteries or a spare key.

Interior Size and Organization

Another essential factor to consider when buying a cheap gun safe is the interior size and organization. A safe with adjustable shelves and dividers can allow you to better organize and store your firearms, ammunition, and accessories. It's also essential to look at the dimensions of the safe's interior to ensure that it will accommodate your firearms.
If you plan on adding more firearms to your collection, consider purchasing a safe with a larger capacity or the ability to add more shelves or dividers as needed.

https://preview.redd.it/x8xsbrsn4j1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8b973b7dd199177937692e25689732066ddab45

Weight and Construction

A cheap gun safe will not typically feature the best steel thickness and overall construction. However, a heavier safe is generally harder to move and more challenging to break into. Many budget gun safes use electronic locks, which means they rely on lightweight materials, such as aluminum or steel with lower thickness ratings.
Before purchasing, check the safe's weight and materials. The weight of a safe is critical when you consider its ability to protect your firearms from theft or unauthorized access. A safe with steel walls at least 0.4 inches thick and a door at least 0.5 inches thick is a reasonable starting point.

Other Considerations

  • Choose a safe with an anti-pry bar to protect against physical attacks.
  • Making sure the safe has a powder-coated finish can prevent rust and make it more durable.
  • Look for a warranty that covers the lock and structural components of the safe.
  • Regular maintenance, such as lubricating locks and examining the exterior, is essential to ensure the safe's longevity.
  • Consider purchasing add-on security features, such as cable locks or padlocks, to enhance safety.
Purchasing a cheap gun safe doesn't mean you have to compromise on security and quality. By knowing what features to look for and what warning signs to avoid, you can find the perfect budget safe that meets your needs without breaking the bank.

2024.05.20 08:53 meowcats734 [PI] In a world where emotions can be bottled and sold, you run a small shop dealing in rare and vintage feelings. One day, a mysterious stranger trades you a bottle. A shiver runs down your spine as your fingers trace the faded label. These are words you've only ever read in ancient texts.

Soulmage

I was lucky enough to be able to feel myself dying. Cancerā€™s touch had been lighter on me than Sansen, and if I hadnā€™t known exactly where to look, I likely wouldā€™ve missed some of the subtler symptoms. But a soulmageā€™s memory was not that of a regular humanā€™s: if I trawled through the arid deserts of my soul for long enough, I could retrieve and relive weeks of my slow decline all at once.
The eight memories I held suspended in my soulspace formed a clear trend. Despite how normal it felt nowadays to sleep sixteen hours a day and eat nothing more than a few bites, when I could flick back through days of my life like they were attractions at a street carnival, the pattern became clear.
I would be dead within the month if this kept up.
It was impeccably clear to me how I felt about that: I had not fought my way through a state-sponsored abuser, a blizzard-torn war, and my own arrogance and fear just to collapse from my wounds at the end of the race. The endless, determined, glittering sands of my soul were testament to that. But as much as I wanted to trust the only person in Knwharfhelm who practiced the kind of medicine Iā€™d need to save my life, Zhytln was still a mind-manipulator with incomprehensible goals that I trusted no further than I could throw her. Which wasnā€™t very far, considering that she somehow effortlessly negated any attempts to fling magic her way.
So I dug deeper. Much as I detested Zhytln, I had studied her strange magics andā€”with Meloaiā€™s helpā€”developed them into something safe and ethical for my own use. I would never invade the mind of another, but working magic on my own mind was something I could do. I held a memory of Cienne, shimmering in the endless sands, and brought it to life. The living memory burned, bits of its essence rotating out of existence in angles my mind couldnā€™t track, as I transmitted my command into its very being: search my memories for anything I can recall about cures for cancer.
The memory of Cienne nodded and raced across the deserts of my soul, occasionally flickering and warping as it angled itself through the infinite dimensions of soulspace. Memories were four-dimensional, and I could only perceive three; with the help of another two living memories I summoned, I could grab different perspectives of my soul, hunting down memories faster than I could on my own.
Only marginally faster, unfortunately; when I tried to maintain a fourth living memory, the other three promptly destabilized, giving me a splitting headache. But inevitably, I caught the shape of a winding thread of memory, snaking throughout the planes of my soul, and hauled it to the surface. Where had I remembered glimpsing a cure for cancer? I touched the memoryā€”
snow that swallowed footsteps and screams from your dorm room alike, hearth dragons gamboling beneath an ice-blue moonā€”
Home. The last remaining lead was home.
I had grown up in the Silent Peaks; despite or perhaps because of their remote, resource-barren location, they managed to be one of the most magically adept nations in the world. And theyā€™d been the ones to discover or invent the strange light magic that sickened all whose gaze it fell uponā€”they wouldnā€™t make a weapon that devastating without understanding how to slow its effects in their own. If anyone else knew how to heal me of the sickness in my bones, it would be the arrogant, sadistic witches whoā€™d brewed it to life in the first place.
My eyes snapped open, the living memories dismissed, and I got to my feet unsteadily. Feathers drifted in my soul, jets of wind helping prop me up.
If I wanted answers on how to live, Iā€™d have to beat them out of the manipulative hellhole Iā€™d fled from so many months ago.
I clenched my fists, and lines of frost danced around the room in tune with my mood.
Finally, a problem a riftmaw could solve.
The Whispered Secret held memories in every cup and nail and floorboard. Salt-crusted breakups, glittering like stars; thick, layered funerals that let out puffs of dust when touch; lurking, eight-eyed rivalries that skittered in the darkā€”if a human soul could host it, the Whispered Secret had it.
I walked in with a bottled soul shard that resembled nothing at all in this shop of souls and secrets, and the bartender fell silent as I slid it across the counter.
The bottleā€™s soul held something that had been oil, once, although it had long since congealed, strange algal blooms that needed no water to live infesting the eldritch emotion. Zhytln picked it up, turned the label, and stilled.
ā€œDorcelessness,ā€ Zhytln read out, expression flat. I saw the gears in her head turning as she processed the information. ā€œWhere did you find this?ā€
ā€œThe shattered soul of a juvenile monster,ā€ I said.
Zhytln set the bottle down. ā€œCienne never mentioned you had samples of the Silent Peaksā€™ creations,ā€ she said.
ā€œHe doesnā€™t know.ā€
ā€œWhy tell me?ā€
ā€œIā€™m leaving, soon, to the place where this came from.ā€ I tapped the bottle. ā€œYouā€™re a scientific type. Analytical. Vivisectionist. And I donā€™t want that anywhere near Cienne or me. But if I can aim you in the direction of a bigger monster, I will.ā€
Zhytln tilted her head, and I got the feeling someone else would have asked the harder questions. Why I hadnā€™t told Cienne Iā€™d snatched a piece of Iolaā€™s soul when Cienne had killed him. Why Iā€™d waited until now to tell Cienne I was going back to the place that horror had been birthed. Why Iā€™d come to Zhytln first, instead of someone I cared about and trusted.
The answers were all the same: because Zhytln would never think to ask, and Cienne would never think of anything else.
Zhytln pocketed the bottle warily. ā€œI meant what I said, when we first met. I seek no conflict, with your party or anyone elseā€™s. I will not step into this war of yours.ā€
The corners of my lips twitched. ā€œNo. But itā€™ll step into your business, eventually. When that day comes, theyā€™ll find someone armed and ready with knowledge of how to fight them.ā€
ā€œI will keep that in mind,ā€ Zhytln said. ā€œNow, if thereā€™s anything else I can do for youā€¦?ā€
I pushed the stool back from the bar, about to shake my head, then paused. Chuckled, dark and bitter. ā€œActually, there is.ā€
Zhytln raised an eyebrow, and I slapped two coins down on the counter. ā€œGive me a drink, bartender. I have a feeling Iā€™ll need it.ā€

2024.05.20 08:53 Low_Apartment3397 My (M28) GF(F24) often leaves during an argument and goes to her mother. The mother recently told her to end the relationship. What do you think, how much is her mother involved? Though she says she loves me, I fear that sometime she will accept her mothers opinion.

This is my first post ever and right now I m really stuck between wether to work more for the relationship with my GF or if its to much and its better to break up. She is a really good partner and for the first half year she was absolutley everything to me, I never had this feeling before and I/ we still try to make ourself back to this stage.
In my opinion a few things happend that I did nt know before and those changed my mind over time.
For our first big vacation we flew to Bali and just before that my GF had troubles wether to fly with me or to stay at home. Apperently because I got stressed during the online checkin. And I was really stressed about us getting seats together so I tried my best to check in first. She really didn t know whether to fly and in the end I really thought that she would stay at home and I would take the trip by myself. But her mother conviced her to "risk" it and fly.
My GF and some issues in previous relationships and I guess thats why her mother ran kind of an background check on me. My GF and her mother are very close and I can understand that her mother is looking out for her and wanting the best. In the beginning I got the feeling that her mother appreciated me. But after I got in an argument with her mother some time ago that switched and now I feel like her mother wants us to break up. She forbid my GF that I could visit her in her flat( the flat is owned by her mother).
Also she told my GF that I had some things, that I 100% haven t done, as I m just not that kind of a person, and also my GF told her mother that she really can t think that I had done that. But now I m just unsure how much I can trust the influnce of her mother and when she made things up than, how this will be in the future.
As we kind of started a bit to struggle and she left a few times during an argument this affected my mind a lot. I told her I would appreiate us working thogether during an argument and not leaving, working seperatley and than coming back when its better. On a smaller weekend vacation she left aswell and kind of demanded that if I care I would drive after her 1.5h with car to make it better.
Once she suggested to make plans with a friend of her. And I appreciated the idea, but I told her that I think it might be better that we re better together before we see friends. When we met with her friend she was so cold to me, barely talking to me and hardly answering to my questions. I felt so bad for even staying there, but I tried not to show anthing in public. After we left, we came seperatley, I wanted to talk to her and make it better. I called her and she said that she just has gotten for a drink with the friend we just stayed together at the bar. I honeslty can understand that she wants to talk to a friend. But bc we said its late and that we would go home, and finding out that they after went to a bar just made me feel unappreciated. If she would just have said that they want to talk after that alone, I could have totatly understand but this got a lot under my skin.
As we re trying to make it work we took a day trip. During the trip her mother called and told her she reserved tickets for her and she has already paid for them. She would have to come home now and would have to cancel our trip. Her mother knew that we had our trip planed and still reserved the tickets. My GF got stressed a lot in this situation as I could not understand how she would cancel our trip so fast. I can understand that her mother is very important for her but in this kind of situation I value that she would have decided against her mother and that we would not had to break up our trip.
We are both trying a lot to make it work and to develop within the relationsship but for now I unfortunetly haven t seen the 100% anymore. The struggling is now a few months and for me my view on her decisions has definetly changed. I appreciate her a lot as she is a wonderful, kind and loving person, but some things seem like a red flag for me. Not right now, I think I could live with that but I m just not sure wether something similar happens in the future and than theres no coming back anymore. We re both in the relationship for something lasting. Our relationsship is very young, we re together now for 1 year and a few months. We spent 2 vacations for 3 weeks in Bali and South Africa and we lived together in the flat of her mother, with her mother working in the same flat so her mother was nearly every day also in the flat. I have so many great memories with my GF and know that the living together was great, and I think it did nt work bc of her mother as she involved her a lot. I also told my GF that I have the feeling that her mother is involved a lot, but she told me that thats not the case and that her mother is jsut very important for her, what I can understand.
Anways, thank you for reading and if you have any advice or additional questions I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you

2024.05.20 08:52 shronts A very specific sense memory Iā€™m trying to recreate

Hi there, Iā€™m new here! Iā€™m trying to figure out the closest scent to (ahem, excuse me) Victoriaā€™s Secret So Sexy Shampoo from ~2005. It was burned into my pubescent brain as the height of elegance and luxury, at least until Viva La Juicy.
Iā€™ve done a little digging into what the notes might be, and Iā€™ve made some truly goofy attempts with layering, essential oils, make-your-own-candles, etc. Iā€™ve even gone back to VS to smell any and all of their smellable products and, yeah, I realize at this point my problem may bigger than I thought.
I even ordered a couple supposed dupes online: ā€œMy Glowā€ by Jennifer Lopez and an older version of ā€œBody By Victoria,ā€ but neither were quite right. I remember the floral musk of ā€œSo Sexy Shampooā€ being more of a punch to the face.
Does anyone here know what Iā€™m talking about? They even snatched the pink shimmery bottles, lol. They had sexy little waistlines. This is my white whale, so to speak, so any navigation in the seas of fragrance is appreciated.

2024.05.20 08:45 Ecstatic_Treacle1397 Iā€™m (23F) at my wits end w/ my partner (23M). Is it time to just call it quits?

Itā€™s a little long but I desperately need advice, it gets a little weird
Background: Weā€™ve known each other since we were 16, had a little entanglement while he was in a relationship (last from the time we were 16 to 21), it was nothing physical, just a mutual crush (yes, this happened while he was in a relationship. We fell out of touch after high school.
We were both post breakup (I was single for a month or two after dating someone for 3 years; he was single for two months after dating someone for 5 years), we reconnected when he DMed me, went on a date, and it was history. Weā€™re so compatible and we literally finish each other sentences. Weā€™ve spent almost every day together since. We got symbolically married 9 months after our first date (not legally, but we considered each other husband and wife). It seemed meant to be. Iā€™ve had my happiest moments of my life with him in such a short time, weā€™ve built a whole life, traveled the world.
But heā€™s always had a little mean streak (but so does everyone, Iā€™m a grumpy person so I understand some level of it) but it gets a lot worse when heā€™s drunk, it came out after being together for about a year. This latest time has just been the straw on a camels back. We had a date in the city (about an hour away) and we drank, it was a long night. He ended up DMing a girl that I used to be friends with (heā€™s aware this friendship ended badly, we both know her from HS, heā€™s known her longer). This isnā€™t the first time, it happened probably about a year or close to ago, I checked his phone after he was drinking with a friend and he DMed 3 different girls at 4am. This recent night, He was belligerent, thereā€™s 3 holes in our walls currently. Heā€™s pushed me before and it didnā€™t happened again, but he screamed and yelled in my face while I sat crying on the floor, called me the worst names which is also not the first time. He knows I have a history of childhood abuse and I donā€™t take well to environments like this. Not to mention a month before this occurred, he totaled my car because he didnā€™t listen to me or the law and was texting while driving. We ended up fixing it and getting a pay out.
He promised to get therapy, he promised to not drink as much but he just hasnā€™t followed through. Today is a little less than a month after the first incident and we were drinking to celebrate the end of my finals, I did great, I was so happy and proud of myself. On our way home from picking up our last round of drink from around the corner, he ā€œlove tappedā€ the car in front of us in the driveway because he was looking at his phone which was the reason for his first accident last month. (We live in a very small apartment complex). I lost it, I admit I yelled and got frustrated, Iā€™m just so tired of him promising me things and not following through. I decided to let it go and not let it ruin my celebratory night. We moved away from our apartment complex for obvious reasons but there was no damage. A little later, we were in the car and nowhere near a bathroom and I had been drinking and I had to pee. I peed in a plastic cup and was going to dump it but jokingly pretended throw it on him, but obviously nothing got on him, itā€™s a joke. I asked him to dump it and give it back so I could put the cup in the garbage, he dumps most of it and ā€œjokinglyā€ actually splashes the rest on me, it got on my face and shirt, very gross. I threw water back at him. He argued how Iā€™m so much worse for throwing water in him because it was more. Itā€™s summer, weā€™re outside, water dries, throwing pee on someone is gross.
Iā€™m tired of dealing with all of this. Is he ever going to change? Am I just unreasonable? I just love him so much and the good can sometimes make the bad unnoticeable. But I donā€™t want to keep comprising my boundaries for someone who doesnā€™t respect me as a partner. What do I do?
EDIT: fixing grammar mistakes.

2024.05.20 08:40 t4laarawan Iā€™m starting to overthink about my bf and his friend

Last february, my bf and I argued about his friend na babae. I was checking his location because few days before that, something bad happened to him that I had to chech where he was.
For more context about the girl and their friendship, wala pa silang 1 taon naging magkaklase. After few months nung umalis si girl sa klase nila, they chatted and stayed as friends. He also considers her na parang sister or bestfriend.
Kahapon lang, while he was showing something and he was searching on his messenger, the girlā€™s name appeared sa search bar. Patay malisya lang kami both. And after that, parang may bumulong sakin to check his phone secretly.. which I did for the very first time, and probably hindi ko na uulitin. Ayun, nag uusap pa rin sila. Naka mute lang yung convo and archive para hindi mag-aappear whenever I use his phone (pinapagamit niya kasi sakin minsan when heā€™s driving to reply to his workmates and parents). Nasaktan ako to be honest.. valid po ba ako dito? Or immature lang?

2024.05.20 08:36 MatchSuccessful1361 [REQUEST] You know the drill, what's my ideology?

Economics:
Healthcare:
Socially/Culturally:
Foreign Policy:
My views on government:
I think my view of government is best described by Lincoln, ā€œThe legitimate object of government is 'to do for the people what needs to be done, but which they can not, by individual effort, do at all, or do so well, for themselves'.ā€ Meaning, in nature, the government is limited, to helping provide the welfare of it's citizens, and allowing citizens free will. I believe government should be decentralized when it can be, such as education or various crime and drug policies. Decentralization is important, as it allows local communities to better work for their needs.
Ideologies I've considered: Christian Democracy, Social Liberalism, Social Libertarianism, Bull Moose Progressivism, Liberalism, Rockefeller Republicanism
Party I'm affiliated with: Democratic Party
Figures I feel that reflect my ideology: Dwight Eisenhower (main), Theodore Roosevelt, Joe Biden, Nelson Rockefeller (before he became more conservative in '69), Thomas Dewey, JFK, RFK, Lincoln

2024.05.20 08:31 Medical_Importance42 Is there any cheat sheet for psychology?

Hello, everyone.
I'd like to know whether there are any psychology cheatsheets where I can get a basic and factual overview of the psychologicql study.
As someone without a psychological background, I want a verified proper cheatsheet from which I don't have to cross-check any foundations of psychology.
I'm creating a simple project game for my computer science degree in which I want to convey a building block (only the fundamentals of psychology) to train for psychology as a common user. The key the idea is this: Create a scenario a person or persons. Generate qualities of persons (you can create your own defined traits for them). Have a conversation based on choice.
Now, back to why I'm looking for a cheatsheet, since I don't have deeper understanding in the psychology, I want factual structured information about this study, based on which I can make some fundamental rules for it. article, blog or any type of information are welcome.
Thank you

2024.05.20 08:31 Amonyi7 Help me flesh out my Character Forced against his Nature

Character: Demon forced to be good
Class: Creation Bard
Warning: if you are playing a new campaign this wednesday, do not read.
I am creating a character and need help on the build and the background/personality/idea!
Dantes is some powerful old devil lord of hell who is being punished for trying to usurp another devil lord, failed and was to be killed, an angel or deity or something intervened and convinced the other lord to send me to the material plane and force me to do good, and the other devil thought it would be a hilarious and apt punishment to see him reduced to that. Stripped of his powers, Dantes is now on earth and must fight his nature to commit evil. Perhaps he just has to do more good than evil. (Im aware of the problems of playing an evil character, or being antagonistic, so this reason should keep him in check i think! If he does do evil things, it will be directed to others and not in a murderhobo way, at least for the vast majority). As an incentive, i can only return to my position in hell if i prove that i have turned good. And what devil can be good and rule hell?
I was thinking of creation bard and flavoring it as him summoning objects from his domain/vault in hell "After thousands of years, every item and treasure you can imagine has made its way down there". Inspo from Gilgamesh from fate.
The 6th level feature could be him summoning spirits of hell to possess the objects.
Bardic inspiration could be flavored as ā€œi suppose iā€™ll lend you a fraction of my powerā€ snaps
Or ā€œhere ill help youā€ *snaps* ā€œthere! Good deed doneā€
He's a dramatic character with a purr in his voice.
Should I just roleplay the conflict of wanting to do evil but mostly having to do good? What about when i do actually commit evil? Which will come up. Or should there be a tangible punishment.
I think he will be adventuring with the party to do good. I mean, sure i could help a charity, "but I would never be caught dead in one of those"
What should his race be? Tiefling? Any spells i should definitely get or flavor as?
Do you have any ideas to help flesh out the character?
Thanks for reading!

2024.05.20 08:30 Amonyi7 Help me flesh out my Character Forced against his Nature

Character: Devil forced to be good
Class: Creation Bard
