I genuinely believe his stress, anxiety and lack of sleep are highly contributing to his emotional and mental distress. Add that he is in a combat zone and I’m sure its worse. He won’t tell me that though, usually just says he’s not at all worried or makes a really dumb joke about it.
I all but begged him to please let me know if all he needs is space, that I want to support him but the silence is torture to me. I have an anxious attachment style (he is avoidant) so I tend to think worst case scenario. So I requested that he please put my mind at ease that he’s not considering ending our marriage.
Three days later he sends me a very long email talking about how he is not looking forward to coming home, and isnt because we couldn’t get thru a deployment without fighting; that he wants to go to his childhood home to see his family. That we don’t want the same things. That I’m happy where we moved to and he is not. He only chose these orders and the last orders to be close to his family. He hates that I don’t get along with his family and that I don’t really want to move there when he retires.
Let me explain that he lives in a very tiny town where there isn’t even a grocery store. I literally would not have a career within an hour of his town. We had agreed that we could live an hour away, like one of his brothers does and it would still be close enough to his family. Also, his family has been quite rude to me. I have been mending fences with them for the sake of my husband. I don’t care where we live in the grand scheme of things, but I still need to have a job and his father and that side of the family very much abuse alcohol. They are also very ignorant and racist. My husband already struggles with over drinking. That’s not something I want to raise a family around as they can be verbally abusive when drunk, and you never know what’s going to trigger them. They have no goals nor aspirations in life, and that’s okay, but I do/ we did… I thought. My husbands goal is to retire from the service and go home. I was willing to go close (1-2 hours which he had agreed) to his home because I have a while before I can retire.
He proceeded to talk about how he was miserable with his ex wife and doesn’t want to spend six year with me, like he did with her, thinking marriage was supposed to be an unhappy union. That he stayed with her that long because he didn’t want it to fail; also because she convinced him things would get better. They never did, in fact I believe there was some infidelity on her side. He continued on about nonsense, like how he wants the mirrors in our house to stay but I wanted to change them and he has completely given up on having a say on how to update the house we bought. For the record, I left the mirrros the way he wanted. I picked paint colors I knew he would like.
Next, he mentioned how we had gotten in a fight right before moving and in haste, I told him to leave me there. he considered that we do end it then but we agreed to keep going because even though we struggle with communication, we do love each other and want to continue our marriage as overall we are pretty happy.
He ended the email explaining that he has not been happy for a while, has been struggling and while we work good together, he doesn’t believe we are right for each other. That I need to look within and figure out if I am happy in the relationship. That he doesn’t care about my answer but he is not at all happy.That he will never be able to communicate the way I want and he has made more changes for me, like attend couples counseling and anger management, than he ever would have for anyone else.
There are still a few months left to this deployment. I literally have no idea where that leaves me. I’m hurt as shit. I’m angry. I’m confused and frustrated. Not once on this deployment have I even mentioned splitting. Month two was the first time he mentioned divorce. We got past that hurdle and month three he mentioned that we should consider getting pregnant when he gets back. Then some stupid issue comes up and the cycle of being angry and fine continues. In fact, I all but beg him to not leave me when he has these outbursts. I feel stupid.
He is not one to ask for help. He clearly needs help but I have no idea what to do. It’s clear he doesn’t want anything to do with me.

I’m in the middle of season 4 right now. Does their chemistry get better? Don’t get me wrong, I love the show but I wish Serena and Blair were more compatible as friends. It’s easy to think that Blair is so jealous and Serena is the sweet one who doesn’t wanna step on any toes, but she is sometimes just as toxic to her. They can portray Blair as mean and bitter, but hell- I’d be too. Serena did one of the craziest things you can do to your friend.. sleeping with their boyfriend, let alone one that you didn’t even lose your virginity to yet. They don’t trust each other. I went to my blocked list and pulled up the last argument my uBPD sister and I had by text (the one that led to No Contact). I copied and pasted it in its entirety into my notepad, added "Me:" and "Her:" before the respective texts, and only removed identifying information like names and references to exact locations. I was able to do all of this without providing an email address or phone number (there are a certain number of "free" messages you can send back and forth, before it starts demanding contact information). If you reset the cookies, the AI forgets and you can start again with another topic.
However it seems like it would be even more useful if you could figure out a way to enter an email that circumvented data-mining, because then it would remember past contexts. Obviously it can't diagnose anyone, but even if you don't feel comfortable quoting conversations to it, you can talk to it about events and how people have acted and how you've responded, and still get insight from it -- including its thoughts on what cognitive biases and defense mechanisms people use, and advice on how to move forward.

What is Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
SMT V: Vengeance is a very hard, strange and interesting JRPG, it has some dark themes that make it stand out from the majority of games on this genre.
The game features a monster catching system(more like demon catching in this case) that enables you to recruit, improve and fuse demons that you find everywhere. It is very unique because for you to recruit them you have to chat with them, and sometimes it doesn't work like you expected, the demons may not want to join you or maybe they even want to trick you into giving them something and just vanishing after, the outcomes are very funny sometimes.
The newer version improves the game in many ways, it has a lot of QOL features, but the biggest difference is a totally new campaign, since most fans thought it was the weakest point of the original version.

Why Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance?
I'm a very big JRPG fan and have been for many years, I like many of the old ones and also newer ones, but I'm specificaly found of the ATLUS games like the SMT and Persona series. They have such a personality that you can always be sure that they are made by ATLUS the moment you see a frame of it.
I have been waiting to play this game since 2021 when it released, since I don't have a Nintendo Switch, but it feels like even more time and I'm sure it will be worth it.

Why can't I buy it?
All games are very expensive here, I live in a small town in Brazil, a country in which the AAA games cost R$ 300(our currency is called Real) or even more, and the minimum wage is R$ 1.412, so it costs a big % of the minimum wage, it's absurd. I am a photographer who is still trying to make a living of it, I had many jobs before but some fired me and some I just could not keep up because they had a huge tow on my mental state. From my experience the only job that could maintain me without destroying my mental is photography, I just love it, and I took too long to realise that I could do something important with it.But the point is that not only AAA games, but all game prices here went up really fast on the last few years, and it's impossible to keep up with it. I am struggling at the moment to acomplish my objectives professionaly, and I believe that this game may make my days a little easier.
But the most important reason why I can't buy it is that my city right now is going through the biggest natural catastrophe the country has ever seen. I live in Pelotas, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and we have many cities very close that were completely vanished because of a flood, and I mean that literally, some cities will now cease to exist because everything was consumed by water. The situation here is sad, we have never seen something of that magnitude in our lives, if you want to have an idea just search about it and watch some videos, it's devastating...
Now my city is also starting to suffer because of the flood, I think my house is probably safe for now, but now I can't even work, nobody can do anything until this passes, and even after that, we will have to deal with the problems that will appear. Some people lost everything they had, some people lost their family, their pets, the whole country is trying to help but there is no way to really stop it now.
So I basically just want this game to keep me sane during these dark times that we are living here, I know it will not make life easier, but it might bring me a little more joy so I can face the problems in a better shape than I am right now.

To start off, I (27m) have never been in a relationship. My dating life in general has been very lacking for the most part because my entire life, I was never really anyone's type from a physical standpoint. I had hoped that college would change this for me, being that I was a college football player, but unfortunately nothing changed and I finished college feeling empty. It's been very difficult dealing with this as I am the only one I know that's never been in a relationship and still a virgin. Always been so difficult seeing just about everyone I know posting about their relationships and going outside doesn't make it much better.
This year, I thought everything was finally about to change. I matched with a girl (23F) on a dating app and the first date went well and we both agreed to a second date. Second date went good as well and I was starting to like this girl a lot more. Couple of weeks go by and we finally went on our 3rd date, which is a night I won't ever forget. Was a little dinner date, we talked about some things we wanna do in life, and at the end of it, I asked her to be my Valentine. She said yes, and held my hand for the first time. After we finished eating, I walked her back to her car, and we kissed for the first time. That was my first ever kiss, and it was at this point I started to fall in love with her. We had our Valentines day date a couple days later, and we had a really good time. I bought her a nice gift that she liked and everything seemed like it was going well. But on the way back from this date, she mentioned to me that she wanted to take things slow mainly because of traumas from a previous relationship she was in years ago that felt like a waste of time. I didn't think too much of it, and told her I'm okay with that and agreed to follow along with that because I felt that things were going so well and didn't want to lose what we had going. After this day, she became very distant, texting me only once a day. I didn't think too much of it, and just thought she had a lot going on. I asked her on a 5th date, and she agreed to it, but soon as the day arrived, she cancelled on me that morning. Then we hadn't talked for a bout 4 days, so I felt the need to send a check in text to see if she was alright. Then she hit me with that text, saying she didn't feel like continuing on with this, saying she didnt feel the connection like she wanted to, and didn't wanna lead me on. I was very devastated and cried for days because I finally thought I found someone but yet again, it's just the same result like it has been my entire life.
It's been 2 and a half months since the day she sent me that text, and I have tried very hard to move on (took a trip by myself out of state, spent more time in the gym, and tried to spend more time outside), and I thought I'd be okay, but lately the emotions just keep getting to me, and I am having such a difficult time trying to detach myself from her. Now seeing everyone I know posting about their relationships feels even worse than it did before I met this girl. Dating has already been so difficult for me in general, and I don't even have it in me to try and pursue dating again, because I am having such a difficult time moving on from this girl as she was the first to actually want to go on multiple dates with me, and I just keep holding onto hope that maybe she'll come back even though I shouldn't. I try to spend more time with friends, but they're almost always busy with their own relationships, or they live too far away. Therapy hasn't been much help for me either. I really don't know what to do. I just wish this went how I wanted to. I just feel so left out and lonely with the way my life has been and just wish this wasn't how my first experience in dating had to go.

My (40) boyfriend (44) went away for a conference for 5 days, Sun through Thurs. He seemed to be having a great time texting me about networking and meeting lots of people he's watched in IT how-to video's on YouTube. A couple days in, he texted me and asked if I would be OK watching his dog an extra day so he could change his flight and stay an extra night. I said it was no problem. The conference ended that Thursday and i wasn't sure why he wanted to stay another night afterwards, but maybe some new friends wanted to continue networking. He repeatedly dodged the question and kept saying it was professional networking and everything he did at the conference was for professional work. How I should never question his judgment, even though I had caught him scrolling Hinge profiles earlier, about 1.5 to 2 years into our 3.5 year relationship. Also, he did not follow any of the other people had excitedly been texting about when he was at the conference. When I kept pursuing the question he got frustrated and told he didn't need to explain himself to me and that I'm controlling him. Am I the asshole for thinking it looked like a classic case of meeting a woman while traveling for work?

Hi there !
For as long as I can remember, I've always been into asian women. And I don't even know how I can explain it, it just is.
So yeah. If you are an asian woman, if your wife is one, if you wanna chat about pretty much anything and see where it goes, here I am.
What else to say ? I'm a 36yo french man, I like to chat, getting to know people. Quite open, said to be of good advice. I like gaming and watching movies in my spare time that is not much these days.

So this is going to be a long story, but a very intriguing one (or so my friends say). Bear with me and if you could offer some advice on what to do please share. I know I'm probably just young and naive but I feel like the pain will never stop. Like I'm going to always be held back by this particular experience.

So all of this begins October of 2022 when I 18 M (at the time) moved to a new city to study film. I was lucky enough to have good grades and be so passionate about this art that it kind of felt incredible to have this new beginning. I rented a small house which I decorated with my collections and all my stuff and ended up loving every second spend in it.
I'm Not very social. Thats just a fact. I've always had my school friends and some people from other activities but none of them really felt like they understood me. No sade to them, I really love them, it's just that I know my hobbies and personality are niece and weird so we don't always see eye to eye. So I wanted to overcome my social anxiety and meet new people.
For the first semester I was all alone. Completely. Spent days upon days without leaving my house if I didn't have school and even didn't have any actual human interaction if not necessary. I didn't realise how much I was hurting myself. The Second semester, someone approached me in school and asked if I could help them with the editing for their final movie, let's call him Jacob 18 M. I already was searching for a group project to join in order to pass the class so this felt like a sweet deal. The group was Jacob and 2 girls, let's call them Ellie 18 F and Hannah 18 F.
With time we started talking about more then just the movie. I was really surprised by how many things we had in common. It was the first time someone I met liked musical theatre or (and this is gonna sound sad, please don't judge me) people didn't want me to leave whenever I approached them. They invited me to things, to their homes and after school and to trips at the beach ect. We were together almost every day. Till late at night or through it. Just the 4 of us. Felt like we could rule the world.
One day i thought Ellie was flirting with me. That was a weird feeling. I'm not very good looking and had a lot of extra weight so that was pretty much the first time but my friends told me that was the case from what I was describing. I mentioned it to Jacob and he told me something I didn't expect. He told me him and Ellie were in an open relationship and were hiding it from everyone except Hannah because of his ex who was in school with us. He also confessed he once had a crush on me and that's why he approached me in the first place. He also saw Ellie flirting with me but was ok with it due to the "rules of their relationship".
I was ok with not having a romantic relationship with Ellie. She would actually become one of the closest friends I've ever had. Or so I thought.
I actually started having a crush on Hannah. She loved some of the movies I loved. Had some of my quirks so I didn't feel ashamed around her and she started watching my favourite tv show with me. During our time together everyone (even her sister and Jacob who found out I liked her) told us that when we were together we could only see each other. As if we had a unique way of communication that nobody else could understand.
I confessed my crush and she told me she felt the same way but that there where 2 problems. First that she gets very anxious about relationships, has only ever been to one and had never kissed anyone. I assured her I wasn't going to pressure anything and I only cared for her and wanted to go on a date sometime. She replied she would like that very much. The second problem she confessed was that she was in love with Jacob for months now but nobody knew. Then everything made sense. The things she did for him and all. How she acted around him. I was surprised I didn't notice it before. She told me she wanted to get over it and proceed to ask to kiss me. We kissed a lot but nothing more that night. She went home after a few hours.
The next day Hannah she felt very distant. We wanted to go to the movies with Ellie but she disappeared all day. Late at night she asked my to go for a walk since we lived near each other. Then she told me she wanted to forget everything and last night was a mistake. That her anxiety has gotten into her and although she really wanted a relationship she couldn't be in one. The next few days we talked again and she said she didn't share any of this with Jacob to have someone in the group I could talk to if I needed help. Ellie was that for her.
It was already summer so we all went to our home towns. I missed her a ton. We stilled talked and the other 2 knew something was off with me. About 2 moths later we all went to Hannah's summerhouse for vacation. We were having fun, getting drunk and all that 19-year old stuff. One night me and Hannah were watching my show together and the time felt right so I asked to kiss her. She told me no and finally told me the truth. Turns out she liked that we flirted but after kissing me she realised it wasn't anything more. Also everyone knew except me. But after all this time I had realised I was in love with this girl. I told her if she could keep all of this to herself and she said yes.
We were all still friends. But I couldn't let go. My mental health began to decent and I started feeling like they would leave me out of stuff to go hang out alone and during October I tried talking some time away to see if they would even talk to me if I didn't. They didn't even say good morning once. I tried again and again. Jacob and Ellie said we all need to talk together. They repeated the same words. Like as if it was rehearsed. I went to "the talk".
Jacob did most of the talking. He talked about boundaries and how after everything between me and Hannah the group hasn't been the same. That after I didn't tell him what happened in our vacation they went to her and forced Hannah to do so. They where all attacking me. I heard lie after lie and all followed up with "we just need some time" and that all of this was cause they loved me.
I have discussed what they accused me of with friends, family and therapists. Although I didn't not believe it at first they all confirmed it was finding little details in my day-to-day behaviour (unrelated to all of the above) and using it to kick me out. They didn't intend of even speaking to me again. Lies feed to everyone by Jacob.
I went away. I don't know if it was for the better. But for a few weeks at first and then months later, I went back to my home town. Their lies became actual blame and I got a message from Ellie saying that we are done (just one month after trying to convince me they needed time and confessing she in particular didn't even notice anything until her boyfriend accused me).
Last time I saw any of them was in December when I gave Hannah her Christmas present. I told her I wasn't trying to get her back and I would continue to keep my distance since my first priority is what she wants and I meant that. I really do love her and would do anything for her to be happy. But I miss her a ton.
It's been 5 months since then. I stopped going to school and kept my distance from anyone related to that life. I have depression and cannot think about anything else. I heard that Jacob still talk shut about me to everyone. I have realised what has happened and have discussed this with multiple common friends who have confirmed this. Jacob is Manipulating the other 2 because of the bad relationship with his parents. He knows Ellie won't do anything with anyone else despite the "open" relationship due to her luck of confidence (so it only works for him). She need him to operate in public and to deal with her extreme anxiety so he takes advantage of that and Hannah follows him everywhere with the excuse of just being a good friend.
There are so many things I couldn't include (this is a hugh post already) about more lies and proof that they where bad for me. But I can't move on. I have seeked medical help but I just cant imagine my life in the future without them. Everything is a reminder of what we've been through. Jacob used to call me his family and when I begged him for our friendship back he didn't even care. Not on my birthday, not on new years... never. I lost all of them.
I'm back now. Not sure why, whether I'm back to continue my studies or to see if I could win them back. If I could have Hannah in my life in sime form. But I'll probably see them tomorrow morning (I randomly walked behind them today, don't think they noticed me).
What should I do?
TL,DR: The girl I'm in love with stopped talking to me along with my 2 best friends. I can't move on and I'm supposed to face them again in school after not seeing them for months. They all lied to me and nothing seem to help. I have depression and I dont want to feel like this for the rest of my life.ĺ

I will make this short as I am not a Diamond guy. My Great great-uncle passed away in Antwerp a month or so ago, he had no kids and let some pieces to various relatives, myself included so his Lawyer got in touch with me. The pieces he left for me/us were in his "box" at the "Diamond exchange" ( I don't even know what that means) . He left me some very nice old watches which I am grateful for and some loose stones ( which I have zero use for) His lawyer suggested he send them to a local expert to give an idea about the price, which is fine and dandy. So, this Diamond expert and his Lawyer sent me an e-mail and gave me a call suggesting that I fly to Antwerp regarding one specific stone. Now, I don't claim to know anything about diamonds, nor do I speak Dutch ( I do speak a bit of French and German) so I am just going to type verbatim what they were trying to tell me, and hope someone here can explain it in simple terms. For context, that side of the family had been diamond merchants for like... 4 or 5 generations. This is what they were trying to convey to me. One stone is ".70 ct" round "red" with "_____ secondary color" ( I don't know what he was saying, but I think he said NO secondary color" it is "bird blood red" and he said "maybe the first real fancy ( I might have misunderstood this term) stone" It has "no visible inclusions or feathers under a loupe" he made it clear he is NOT a "GIA" lab, "has been doing this for 60 years in the "exchange'; so he "knows what he is talking about. He said I needed to fly to Antwerp to take it to a GIA lab and so forth. My question is: Why do I have to go there to deal with this as opposed to that diamond merchant or Lawyer handling it or making me an offer? I have been reading about red diamonds and see that they are red with pink or orange or something and they seem to be available so I would have thought someone could just make an offer. Do I really need to go personally? Thank you in advance and I am sorry that some of this might not have made sense, I promise it does not make sense to me. I do know that during ww2 that side of the family apparently "hid" a lot of their Diamonds so the Germans would not get them.

Also, I wanted to add and I appreciate or understand if you even think it's lame but Opie, in an automated stream of consciousness describing how getting into arguments online about the Opie and Anthony show is akin to "fighting ghosts", I found to be really beautiful in a sad and romantic way. The way Opie subconsciously views that part of his past to be so far removed from his present, that any piece of those memories are unquestionably unobtainable to be described as "dead" and maybe even the Opie from those days is "dead" I think deserves to be in an art museum.

My 77-year-old mother called me yesterday (Saturday) to tell me that she had fallen in her yard and that her ankle was painful and swollen. I picked her up from her house and took her to a doc in the box to get her ankle x-rayed. It turned out to be just a sprain, thank goodness! The doctor called in an anti-inflammatory to Mom’s pharmacy, which happens to be a Walgreens whose pharmacy closes at 6pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.
We left the clinic at 5:25pm and strategized how we would get the Rx. I told her that I knew for a fact that Walgreens pharmacies tended to be understaffed and that there was a good chance that the Rx might not be ready before 6pm. We decided that we would call the 24-hour Walgreens a few miles further from this one if she didn’t get the text before 6.
Mom decided to call her normal Walgreens location from my car at about 5:40 just to see if they had even received her prescription yet. The girl who answered the phone (yes, she answered almost immediately!) confirmed that they had received it and that it would be ready for pickup if we could get there before 6. Mom told her no problem, we are just a block away.
When we pulled up into the drive-thru at 5:45, I told the tech my mom’s name and mentioned that my mom had just called her. She nodded and went and grabbed the bag. Not only was I amazed at how quickly they had filled Mom’s prescription, but I was also impressed at how pleasant the tech was throughout the transaction.

At first her smile was a normal retail-worker smile, but soon she was beaming at the unexpected praise. I absolutely loved driving away from there knowing that she was able to end her work week on a positive note.
After reading all the stories about how much abuse the pharmacy teams have to put up with, it’s hard to fathom how y’all are still able to provide a high level of service. But that is exactly what we received yesterday, and thanks to your stories I was compelled to make sure that team felt appreciated.

I went to the ptbo Farmboy for the first time today, and holy shit, 1)it was packed, probably because of the holiday, but I also think many ppl are choosing it over loblaws right now, and 2) no wonder they are, cause even though I believed that it would maybe be a bit more affordable, but on par maybe with Costco prices and I was shockingly wrong. The prices are 20-40% cheaper than Walmart, Costco and superstore. Quite a lot of quality meats at 4-6$/lb, what would normally be 10-12$ a lb anywhere else. 5$ a dozen for eggs, and frozen deli ends, was great to see waste reduction. Vegetables and lunch snackables, a huge deli selection, frozen convenience foods, fruit (limes were under .60$ per!?, my wholesale produce prices are more that), all of it was significantly cheaper and equal or better quality.
Does anyone know if their staff are paid well/treated well? I noticed it was mostly young adults which was nice to see and the young person at the deli was really friendly. I’d love to know how they are as an employer; we need more smaller businesses paying Ontario Living Wage.
Anyway, just adding my thoughts and urge anyone not already boycotting loblaws/Walmart that if you’re still shopping at superstore/Walmart for grocery basics, you are being ripped off wildly not just by a little. (Obv there may still be things you can’t get at farmboy, and yes, parking is a bit of a pain, but even today with a line up of cars 5 deep down landsdown with the holiday tomorrow we got a parking spot by the front door in under 5 minutes of arriving).
