2024.05.20 05:50 magicjulio We can talk how amai week is disappointing?

We can talk how amai week is disappointing?
well I have some points to criticize about Amai's week, I'll present them 1-Amai Personality 2- Lack of interactions, routines and protagonism 3-Locations 4-Lack of game secrets/Cutscenes, eliminations 5-Lots of reuse.
1- In my opinion, Amai's personality is totally different from her introduction and her cutscene at the weekend, she doesn't seem genuinely sweet, but rather generously and forcefully sweet, I think one of the things that irritates me most about her is the fact that she just stay around Taro, she practically doesn't interact with anyone else, that's so ☠
2-Probably the thing that irritates me the most was the lack of interactions between numerous characters, like I said, Amai for example only interacts with Taro, I expected her to spend most of her time talking to people in her club..., not being a sexual waitress.. The routines in week two are completely the opposite of what I expected, are they simply crap, students reading books at specific points that the rival passes by? It's okay to accept something simple like that in the ryoba way, but hey, this is the way we've been waiting for a long time, do something more humanized, I know the Basu sisters try to justify these routines, but their explanation can be so dirty as for the routines Amai just doesn't look attractive enough, she doesn't look like what a RIVAL should be, she doesn't look like the FERRIS WHEEL of this amusement park we're calling "Week 2", I always knew Amai's events wouldn't be as good as Amai's. Osana, but the problem is not the events but the character itself, Amai cannot attract attention even because of her cuteness
3- Something that disappoints me is that the students do practically nothing in the cooking club :(
4- Unlike week 1, here we have nothing to be revealed, and Amai's secret has a very monotonous way of being discovered, reading her Diary, just like in 89's mode, there were so many better ways to discover this secret, with a conversation with someone from the leader for example, Amai's eliminations are not cool at all, I will cite 2 examples; 1-explosion in the kitchen; this elimination has a good idea, but it is horribly executed, it is very easy to do and is not impactful, it is just simple, there could be more witnesses in the room where Amai is in this elimination, and also add a password to the ventilation system , which can only be discovered by listening or reading something in the game, of course, just my idea 2-Matchmake this elimination never sounded natural to me, but it's just a reuse of the 89 way, the way to do it is boring, everything is boring
5-A lot of things are EXTREMELY reused from 89 mode; Amai's system takes her bag to the living room, the diary, the magazine to discover her ideal type, Amai's task is boring, moeko's task is much more interesting, for example
Bônus : Amai looks so much easy than Osana
Well, that's it, I hope Yandev fixes these things ;)

2024.05.20 05:46 shiningshadow2018 Just Got Added to a Mysterious ARG Subreddit Called /r/thehigherpower – Need Help!

Hey Reddit,
I need some advice. Today, out of nowhere, I got an invite to join a subreddit called /thehigherpower. I’m a big fan of ARGs (Alternate Reality Games) and puzzles, so this intrigued me immediately. The thing is, this subreddit seems super cryptic and I can’t figure out much from just browsing through it.
Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:
1. Cryptic Posts and Comments: Most of the posts are strange and filled with cryptic messages, odd timestamps, and what seems like random numbers or coordinates. 2. Hidden Clues: I’ve noticed some hidden messages in the posts’ source code, but they’re all jumbled and don’t make much sense yet. 3. Private Messages: After joining, I received a private message with a weird string of characters and a phrase, “Seek the light, find the power.” 4. Odd Usernames: The users interacting here have really peculiar usernames and their post histories are almost entirely within this subreddit.
I’m kind of excited but also a bit lost. Is anyone here familiar with /thehigherpower or similar ARGs? What should be my first steps in tackling this? Any tools or techniques you’d recommend for decoding and understanding the puzzles?
I’d love to collaborate with anyone interested in diving into this mystery. Thanks in advance!

2024.05.20 05:32 squatsandthoughts Passed! 3AT - Took it at home & Here is my advice for actual learning/mastery

I took my exam yesterday (May 18) at home, and I found out today I passed 3AT! I did not believe I was going to pass. I absolutely thought I had failed and was planning on when to take the exam again. Like others, I thought I would share some of what I did and some recommendations especially if you are taking it at home. Of note, I used to work with college students and teach them how to improve their academic skills (not memorizing but mastering material, not freaking out at an exam, etc) so I wrote this with academic coaching in mind.
Things That Helped Me/My advice:
I hope this helps someone out there. Sorry it was long but glad you made it to the end!

2024.05.20 05:28 Big-Golf4266 Am i missing something with PVE or?

have they literally added nothing... like actually nothing new.
the idea that they were / are charging for this is insane considering it doesnt look like this should've taken any time at all for them to cobble together, from what i can tell literally all they have done is change the AI spawns on the maps, sectioned it off from the live version and then started trying to charge people for it
it was scummy enough charging for it but seriously unless im missing something this looks like genuinely a months work at most? its so insanely lazy. the same braindead AI, re-skinned rogues / raiders for the PMC's... horrifically bad scav / pmc interaction (some times they seem to fight but it appears scavs only react once shot by AI pmc's)
zero pmc - pmc interaction, pretty dogshit spawns and terrible roam AI. absolutely zero changes to the economy which i dont think BSG really understands the ramifications of with a zero wipe economy...
hell the pmcs are SO reskinned that their items are still FIR despite the fact that they're supposed to be pmc's and thus their gear shouldnt be FIR.
even if they'd only spent 6 months on this shit it could be leaps and bounds better, at the moment it feels really bad... because of how the ai works in conjunction with how the ai spawns / moves you have this weird dichotomy of knowing you're absolutely safe in certain areas but then also in other areas knowing that if at any point any pmc gets any form of LOS on you they'll just snap on to you.
there's no fun dynamic with the AI, there's no feeling like you're outsmarting them or getting the better of them... its just dropping them as soon as you see them or running the other way. thats the only meaningful interactions with them... its so painfully obvious that you're just playing against poorly done AI
dont get me wrong im happy with the challenging aspect to it, the game should be challenging. but its not a fun kind of challenging because there's absolutely no permutations in how you interact with them. its just engage in combat and see if you get headeyesed before you kill them...
for instance you cant go into factory, head up to the offices, make your way to the rafters and silently creep around up there and then get the drop on the AI, taking one out, only to dart away behind cover breaking LOS and have them lose you.
all the AI have eyes on the back of their head so you dont really have any interesting dynamic. its just boring to fight them.
i think the spawns are the worst part though. i mean seriously how hard would it have been to have them spawn in the normal locations and then roam like normal players?
and dont get me wrong, im not even saying bsg should've put the time in to make the PVE good, honestly i don't think they needed to work on PVE at all... i mean especially considering i dont think bsg could possibly compete with a certain other PVE mode that exists...
but then that just makes this all the more scummy, the more i play the more its such a blatant and abhorrent cash grab. the ONLY thing thats good about it is that its at least more engaging than offline raids, so i guess its a good way for people to learn maps.
oh but you only have 25 minutes in raid, so good luck trying to comfortably learn the bigger maps and good routes on them because well... you dont have enough fucking time. So many puzzling decisions with this one. im really looking for someone to give me a new perspective on this, because i really cant any part of this that looks like it was made with effort and good intentions lmfao.

2024.05.20 05:21 sluethmeister Stay Tuned For Danger Digital Installation Guide (Windows 11)

Hey All,
My SO plays Nancy Drew and had problems finding sources for troubleshooting it's installation after purchase from the website. I figured it out and thought it would be good to make a quick post on its installation steps because it is certainly not straight forward for Windows 11 users.
I am going to assume you've already bought and downloaded the game from Her Interactive website.
  1. In your downloads right click the StFD installation .exe > Show more options > Troubleshoot Compatibility
  2. It will ask if you are trying to troubleshoot the executable program > Answer "Yes" > It asks What is the problem...? > Answer "None of the Above" > It suggests compatibility settings > Apply its recommendation and close the window.
  3. (Can't recall the order of this so read it through first) Right click StFD installation .exe again and run as adminsitrator > Accept default installation path > Check the box that asks if we want to make a desktop icon
  4. Make a new folder in the following C:\\ProgramFiles(x86) and call it STFD (This is strict and required exactly)
  5. Right click the desktop icon we requested in step 3, STFDSetup executable, and repeat step 2.
  6. Once you've applied the compatibility settings similarly to step 2, right click the STFDSetup desktop icon and run as administrator
  7. Accept all defaults EXCEPT the following: When it asks where you want to install the game make the path the folder we created C:\\ProgramFiles(x86)\STFD. When it asks if you want to install DirectX say "No I will install it myself" (Fake news!).
Once you've continued through step 7 all the way to its completion the game SHOULD ask if you want to launch it. It seems relatively prone to problems so make sure to save frequently and good luck!

2024.05.20 05:16 NeedMoreBlocks Quick vent about the WGU subreddits

I get that this isn't an official WGU channel and has never been like a study group. It's mostly just for posting confetti, trying to get specifics about the different programs, commiserating about Examity, and seeing if others failed the same OA. I just scroll by anything I don't find interesting or that I think I can't contribute to.
What is hard to avoid are the tons of comments asking, "how long did it take you?" The school is already set up so that you can speedrun an accredited degree. The reason they ask this is because they don't think of it as school. They think of it like a video game or work training module. I know many people simply need a degree to bypass dumb HR filters and there's a not insignificant cost and many people already have families, jobs, etc. However, if you can't even try and go through the experience to earn a legitimate degree at your own pace, maybe this just isn't for you?
I'll admit what inspired this was an interaction from last night. Somebody on here is in a bind with the end of their term coming soon. They couldn't figure something out that I know like the back of my hand. I wrote out a detailed explanation, along with an example, and all I got in return was, "please DM." I didn't even bother responding because I knew it wasn't tutoring they wanted. They wanted to know if I had the answers from the class to give them. I also spent time/money going through WGU. What makes you entitled to my work when I already gave you some of my time and help for free? I think it speaks to the laziness of these types because practically everything is already available online. Google the exact phrase and see what pops up. You'll likely find other WGU alumni who made their coursework publicly available, either intentionally or accidentally. If you can't even do that, I don't know what else to tell you.
Who knows. Maybe it's just insecurity that companies might see what the other WGU grads get up to online and think I'm doing the same shit. I'm proud of my accomplishments and really appreciate the school's unique model. It looks very unserious when people have flairs with 6 Masters Degrees though. I know if I were a hiring manager and saw that on a resume, I would discard it.
Anyways, I'll probably end up deleting this soon because I think my feelings might be unpopular here, but wanted to get it off my chest regardless.

2024.05.20 05:01 ASK_ME_FOR_TRIVIA Has anyone else seen this encounter in Fallout 4? My brother INSISTS that he's met the Mysterious Stranger out in the glowing sea, and that he got his gun in Fallout 4

I said he's confusing the encounter with the one in New Vegas, but he insists that it wasn't that. He knows in was Fallout 4 because it was in the Glowing Sea, he wearing Power Armor, and there was no billboard or guitar nearby like in NV.
He remembers seeing an NPC in a hat/trenchcoat around a campfire with a guitar, walking up and not being able to talk to him (Apparently he had no voice lines whatsoever, even in combat). Says he looked exactly like the Mysterious Stranger. He couldn't interact with the NPC, so he killed him, and got a generic .44. He thinks it was a random encounter, but remembers that it was "down some random road in the Glowing Sea, with no marked locations nearby". I just happened to be near the glowing sea, so I followed the highway south and found nothing. Apparently the closest thing to a landmark was the lack of landmarks.
He remembers thinking, "Maybe this is where they store him when he's not active in V.A.T.S." but I know that's not how the engine stores NPC's. He insists it's not the guy from New Vegas, as he knows that game well and is already familiar with the encounter you and I were already thinking of.
I know he's not just fucking with me, because he can't hold a straight face to save his life. Was this a mod that we forgot about, or did he come from some sort of weird-ass Mandela world?

2024.05.20 04:54 amelodyofsuffering Mystic Messenger Anime?

I know this has been brought up before and that there’s a webtoon but I’ve recently gotten back into the game and I CRAVE more mm T_T
Like imagine they made it interactive so you can still choose your route like the game and experience a different anime 7 times that would be so cool. obv that would take ages but if it was done correctly I think it would be pretty successful

2024.05.20 04:51 Dekallis Grimm needs some buffs/reworking

So I know we've got a patch coming but I feel like no one's talking about Grimm since he released and things I've seen in gameplay both playing as grimm and seeing others play him have led me to believe there's a real problem with his design. This is going to be long.
Let's start with his problems:
Grim is a carry, however unlike basically every other ADC he does not have mobility, escape tools, or even a snare. He at best has an anemic knockback but on top of that, he has a weak early game due to lack of offensive abilities and a severe dependency on items even more so than other carries. Murdoc/Twin blast/Kira all have some way to get away from or peel the enemy off themselves, even Sparrow(arguably the most basic of adc's) at least has a slow and movespeed bonus in her kit.
He also is unique in that he deals entirely magic damage but has a hybrid scaling setup. Which is a problem because items don't really fit neatly into his stat needs, and more importantly his unique situation results in awkward item interactions.
Ex: Items that apply on hit effects DO NOT apply assault mode damage despite it being an on hit effect. Life steal actually DOES work with his basic despite being magic damage(A loy of people were confused by this and didn't know lifesteal worked). He needs Magic pen to deal with tankyness but most of the items he would normally build don't have it as a stat leaving him with only caustica as an option and while normally magic damage doesn't crit Grim can...but only with his basic attack.
Additionally Items like Combustion and Magnify do not trigger off of Assault mode damage either(which i thought was really odd in the case of combustion in particular since it only specifies ability damage) So even these items which on paper might be things grim would want don't synergize as well as they should. Meanwhile Infernum does work.
This creates an awkward itemization and I'm seeing a lot of grims that don't seem to know what to build or when to build it. Grim's that commit to magic items end up with anemic damage output because assault mode doesn't scale well enough to be meaningful damage on it's own, his passive is minor damage even if true damage and in the case of magic items he obviously isn't able to increase his basic attack strength. On the other hand Physical item grim plays like a traditional ADC but just with magic damage yet still ends up lacking due to his lack of tools in his kit compared to conventional ADC's.
He's incredibly slow and easy to run down.
He essentially only has ONE offensive ability until level 6 meaning he's at a severe disadvantage against almost any lane opponents. He has no real benefits that make up for this.
His spell shield often fails to provide any real protection and has no real impact on the flow of battles. Ex: Phase fires her beam at you, spell shield only blocks 1 tick of it not the whole thing you still take damage you still get rooted and there's nothing grim can do about it because he's so slow in the first place.
His passive is literally forgettable, it contributes so little to fights it almost might as well not be there.
The benefits:
An emphasis on magic damage forces opponents into alternative build routes if he gets ahead to deal with his magic damage, they can't just build tainted bastion and call it a day.
Displacement cannon is a long range mortar in assault mode letting him poke like a mage would.
His ultimate tracks targets and can secure kills from long distance as long as he has line of sight.
In rare cases you just might spell shield something like a countess ult and save yourself but more often than not it'll be popped by an incidental hit from some ability and you'll die anyway.
Annnnd.....that's about it.
Possible Solutions:
1: Make the spell shield a barrier that gives damage reduction and CC immunity to hard CC(knock ups/stuns) but not soft cc(slows/silences) This would give grim an offensive and defensive tool to chase down a kill or to flee without getting cc locked. Or make spell shield into a stim, say successfully blocking an attack with the shield gives grim bonuses to aspd/movement for a short duration increasing as he ranks the ability up.
2: Assault mode's slow should not be a decaying slow. At max rank it's a 20% slow for 0.8 seconds. that means in 0.4 seconds the max rank slow is already down to 10%(the same as rank 1's full value) which is already not very significant especially for a character as slow as grim is. This also means the lower ranks are genuinely inconsequential amounts of slow. Additionally add a 4/8/12/16/20 base damage to the ranks of assault mode. A lot of people don't seem to realize ranking it up doesn't actually increase the damage at all despite the increased mana cost and the not very effective slow. since he lacks offensive tools, and an escape a decent slow is the least he can be given so he can at least attempt to kite. but given his movement speed that seems unlikely.
3: Add a silence or a micro stun to displacement cannon so he can interrupt enemy attacks. Position it as something that can be a life saving interrupt defensively or a silence to shut off opposing abilities to allow for an engage. Possibly also increase the knockback power. It's pretty sad to see an enemy blink/leap in throw a orb of plasma in their face and they only back up a whole 4 inches and proceed to be completely unbothered.
  1. Change the pulsefire passive so either some % of magic power is added to his basic attack or give him magic armor shred on his attacks/abilities. Hell maybe even make it actual fire, some stacking burning effect with a max stack bonus. Any of these would give him actual team synergy with other magic users. Every other ADC has a passive that directly improves their ability to deal damage meanwhile Grim's passive is more like a bruiser passive more in line with someone like Kwang but without any of the durability.
All in all Grimm feels like he was designed for an entirely different role but got shoved into the carry position because his kit revolved around ranged basic attacks. But someone nerfed his durability but didn't change the rest of his kit to address his vulnerability in the new role.

2024.05.20 04:50 paradox914 Feeling guilty about a situationship and I'm contemplating on reaching out

Hey guys, so long story short I had gone through a breakup 6 months ago. 3 weeks after my breakup I made a mistake by asking out another girl. We were nearing the end of our semester at the time. There was like 2 weeks left and the workload with finals was very heavy so we decided we'd plan it later after the semester ended. (Semester ended like mid december)
We'll, I was still hurting a lot from my breakup at the time and I was definitely emotionally unavailable to her and giving her mixed signals for those last 2 weeks of the semester. She started giving mixed signals too which I'm assuming is cause of my behavior. We actually never ended up going out and kinda just texting each othe gaming here and there until February when I realized this just wasn't going anywhere cause I just wasn't ready to date and I think she was probably feeling like she didn't know what she wanted either. We slowly stopped talking.
Our new semester started in March I ran into her 3 times since and we had small normal interactions. But other than that we don't interact anymore. I've been feeling bad about the way I handled the situation. I never told her about my breakup either. Recently I've been thinking of reaching out to apologize to her cause the situation wasn't fair to her from the start and I feel really guilty about it. What do you guys think? Should I reach out to apologize to her or just leave it be?

Like to interact with things it’s E not the controller keybind. Even when I unplug my keyboard and mouse it doesn’t work. So I can move and do things but idk what the buttons do for certain things. Is there any way I can just play on controller and not have the keyboard and mouse controls show up????

tried a ck2 to eu4 conversion for the first time but it didn't work
I created a mod with the conversion and added it to a new play set but it won't load in game. It uses the default save game for a new campaign. I don't know where I could have gone wrong. idk if this will help but here is the set up for the converter

2024.05.20 04:43 generichumansuit Which difficulty level compares to Witcher 3 death march?

I most recently played Witcher 3 NG+ on death march and found it to be an enjoyable challenge. Getting into the headspace of expecting to die and using the loading time to reassess my approach was rewarding and made me interact with the game more intentionally with greater consideration for skills, potions/oils/decoctions, and methods. I haven't played Skyrim before and am wondering what mode is most comparable to death march and whether I should start lower to get comfortable with the game or just start out on a higher difficulty and get good fast.
Thank you!
