Jonathan smiled as he approached, noting the large pile stacked on the ground. "Tibble, you have to put them in the baskets. Contact with the dirt will cause them to rot." He laughed. "I've told you this."
She shook her head. "Pyramid shape best. I like this." She pointed at the pile. "This is best way. You said you would make more cider. We like the cider. You will make it for me."
He knelt down and picked up an apple, taking a bite. Juice oozed out around his lips as his teeth pierced the skin of the fruit. He chewed for a moment while looking up at Gaz. "Yes. I said I would. Get these in the baskets and I'll carry them back."
She growled at him. "Piles are best." Tibble then began moving the top of the pile into the basket.
Jonathan sat under the tree as she filled the first basket, finishing off his third apple. She stacked it as high as she could before they started rolling off the top, and he got up. He lifted the basket and started carrying it toward the shed. "I'll be back for the next basket shortly."
He walked the half mile through the ruins of the city and stopped outside the door to the shed. He placed the basket down next to the apple masher and pulled the first apple up. He felt something ping on the back of his neck. Instinctively he scratched it, not remembering the sensation. He scratched a second time before he remembered what that particular vibration meant.

The silicon based assistant accessed the relay and transmitted it to his subneurals.

She could not help herself, and as if commanded without words, she extended two of her manipulator appendages up toward it. It opened up the ball at the end of its arm, five digits unfurling to reveal a black cube. It gently pushed the cube into her two pointed appendages.
"What is it?" She asked, shimmering.
The creature shimmered the air around it, speaking in ways she couldn't. "It is the gift we wish we did not have to give. It is horror, pain, and destruction. You know it in your organs, you feel it thinking about your mate, your daughter. Those that brought this feeling to you, will not stop until you give them this feeling back. This, this will allow you to do so, and I am sorry to have to give it to you."
She looked down at the cube in her points, feeling it as it vibrated across her limbs, reaching into her. Lines traced across her shell as she watched it grow on her. She looked back up toward the being as it crawled across her body but the shadow creature was gone.

She stood, her numerous feet appendages poking into the wet sand. "Where are you, being?" She shimmered with her shell.
"I am in you Mother, and am at your service." It replied within her minds.
"What has happened?" She asked, shivering with fear.
"You have been called upon to save your people."
She looked around before touching her own carapace. "How do I, how do we do that?"
"Where are the survivors?" It asked.
She thought for a moment, visions of the deep, visions of safety in the dark filled her minds.
"Go there. Help them."
She shivered again, defeat in the squish of body, her filters feeling the twins feeding at her sides.

She turned her gaze back toward the horizon, seeing the glow of other homes melting in the far distance. "We can stop this?" She asked, now solely using her thoughts.

The Mother of three now two walked over to him, placing her appendages upon his. Dots of blue light shifted from her carapace onto his. She looked into his visor plate and spoke with tinges of red. "The darkness has come and has promised us vengeance."
He flexed his carapace, breathing deep as he sucked in the sea. "What is this?" He asked, his own colors shifting toward the red.
"Our pain made flesh." She replied.

Telemetry came down. "Wait time for assistance five minutes. Ten minutes. Three hours." It read out, the time continuously increasing.

Prior to MyTime going online for our store, I was consistently getting 26-36 hours a week. Ever since MyTime came out, I do not get hours automatically generated. I have to get hours penciled in, and when its done, I'm getting less than 20 hours a week, even though everyone else but one person in our dept has more than I do. I have seniority, but that apparently mean anything anymore. People in our dept who has been employed less than i have and has less availability consistently get over 26 hours meanwhile I get zero? Ive talked to the assistant manager as well as store director about this, but is yet to be resolved. I suppose reading about this issue in other posts gives me some relief that its not only me, but with bills to pay, its very angering and frustrating. Finding a different job that pays equal is not an option right now.

This build will be used mostly for intensive gaming at 1440p@144z, but also for programming/compilation. The parts will be bought in the US, and I have access to a Microcenter. I would like to keep the budget under $3k, but there is wiggle room.
Here are some of the consideration points I had while making this list:

• I want to move 2 of the M.2 SSD's from my old build to this new one without sharing PCIE lanes. It seems like this is possible without using both PCI_E4 and M2_4 slots, which I shouldn't be doing even with the 2 extra M.2 drives.
• I originally wanted to go with the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory, but I was worried I would have instability trying to reach 6400 MT/s. Additionally, both of these say they have XMP profiles, but I don't see any mention of EXPO profiles, which worries me on an AMD build. Is this OK?
• PCPartPicker says the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III is incompatible with the Phanteks NV5, but I saw online that this is a mistake and the radiator will fit fine. Can anyone confirm this?

I just finished an extensive research paper for college that included 11 sources from my school’s library and more than half of the free AI detectors online are flagging my 100% original work as AI. I absolutely did not use AI and even though I haven’t been accused, I think these companies should be made aware that their products suck. I emailed these “AI detector companies” and gave them my essay and asked them to explain why they think my essay was AI generated. I’m just so frustrated that this keeps happening to me, yet when I copy and paste a response from ChatGPT, it gets more of a human score than my own writing! Has anyone else done this?

Hello everyone. Please I need help and I don't know what to do anymore if anyone has any useful information, if they have been in the same situation or can help me in any way I would be very grateful. I'll explain my situation in detail.
I had unprotected sex more than three months ago. A week later I started itching all over my body (even my hair, everywhere). At the same time I got dermographism, as soon as I scratch myself it leaves a red mark and it swells but it disappears 15min later, I can write on my skin with it. I've also had little white spots on my upper lip and the same thing on my genital area, but they don't itch or do anything.
First of all I did a blood count and it turned out that the number of white blood cells in my blood was very high: 14,000 whereas the normal is between 4,000 and 10,000, which shows that I have an infection. I took the HIV test exactly three months after and it was negative. The syphilis test after a week was also negative. And my liver test (transaminase test) was normal two months after intercourse. And the doctor told me that the white spots on my lip were not herpes, i looked online and i’m not sure if its just fordyce spots. I also took antibiotics as a preventive measure (a third-generation injectable).
But after all that, the itching hasn't stopped, the whiteheads on my lip haven't changed and I have no other symptoms. Now I take an antihistamine for the itching and that's it. I still don't know what I have and what's causing the itching if anyone has any idea what it could be please tell me I'm really freaking out.

Installed in 2020. Have spent 4 years trying to get this connected. Works for 1 minute to 3 days, then disconnects until rebooted manually. First 2-3 years, I was not comfortable opening the generator so I would ask the service guys every 6 months to try to fix the Internet connection. They would reboot it and it would work again for 1-3 days. Then I got people to run a brand new CAT6 to the generator in case that was the issue. Over time, the service guys updated the firmware, swapped to a different RDC 2.4 controller entirely (which eventually also failed after 1-3 days), swapped back to mine, etc.
Today I brought a laptop out there and connected the exact same Ethernet cable from the generator to it. Ran iPerf3 back to a local server and verified 1 GB connectivity over 30 minutes. Even switching to UDP to check error rates, the error rate was 0%. The guys who installed this cable used high end cable testing equipment to verify it. There are 3 internet connections here in failover. There is no chance this is a connectivity issue. The service people say it must be the Internet or cable. They are good at fixing engines, but I'm a network person and that's just not the case.
Finally, gave up on service people ever fixing this. Called Kohler myself a couple weeks ago and they sent me firmware 3.4.5. Installed it. No change. Still fails usually within 5 minutes. If I cold-start (disconnect 2 cables on the back of RDC and reconnect), it usually is connected for up to 2 days. If I reboot from the menu, it connects for about 5 minutes. That's a mystery I have not solved. Why is a cold start more reliable than a menu reboot. Anyway, maybe just flukes.
So here I am 4 years later trying to get the simplest connectivity going. Recently had a massive power outage a few weeks ago. Really want to get this thing online for the future. I have seen several posts in the past here on this general topic, but not clear what the real consensus is. Does this dog just not hunt? It feels like this feature is not designed well. The PIN number reset cold start thing is very bad design. The unit used to be DHCP, but for precision during this process I have assigned it a static IP for the last year or so. If you go through the menus on the device, it says it is connected to Kohler even though on their app you can see it is not. This seems like such a trivial problem to solve in the firmware/software that I also assumed updating the firmware would surely fix it. Not the case apparently.
Does anyone have these working and if so what was the secret?

I am really struggling with perimenopause.
For a year I thought I had long covid. The fatigue, memory loss, brain fog, aches and pains. It wasn't until the hot flashes started and my libido tanked that I realized it was perimenopause and not just covid.
I didn't have a primary care provider at the time so I signed up with an online clinic and got HRT.
Physically I felt great but within a month I was suicidal. I had a plan in place and was within 24 hours of ending my life when I had a moment of clarity and told my husband I was in trouble. I had to stop the HRT cold turkey and the rebound pushed me into a 24/7 cycle of crying and vomiting panic attacks. After a week of constant panic attacks only broken up by the times I got so exhausted I fell asleep I was basically sedated for another 2 weeks while my body regulated. So HRT is not for me.
I have found a PCP and my anxiety is well treated now. I'm on Buspar 3 times a day which has been a lifesaver. My insomnia is still pretty bad but I've been prescribed 3 zopiclone a week so I get some decent sleep.
The rest of it is slowly killing me. The hot flashes are making me miserable. The brain fog is making me stupid. I miss my libido so much. And even when we do have sex my orgasms are a shadow of what they once were. I've always been prone to connective tissue injuries but that's been a real problem the last year as my body is making less collagen. My ADD is at an all time high. I'm developing jowls and turkey neck. Even the skin on my body is looking old. I'm eating less than I've ever eaten and I weigh more than I did the day I delivered any of our children.
Thank goodness for my husband. He is incredible. He fans me when I'm hot, listens to me whine, patiently reminds me about all the things I forget and has been the most sympathetic and understanding partner I could ever hope for.
We had a cry this morning as we mourned the loss of our sex life together. We used to go 2-3+ times a day. Every day. Hell, we could both have the flu and we'd still fuck. We had amazing sex probably 15,000 times over the last 26 years. A quickie first thing in the morning, an afternoon delight and a long, leisurely session at night. That was our baseline. (We both work from home).
Now, we have sex ~3 times a week. It's pretty good. But it's like eating McDonalds when we used to eat steak. I miss the excitement, the adventure, the deep connection. I want it back with every fiber of my being. But I suspect it's gone for good and I'm really sad about that. My orgasms are nice. But they shouldn't be nice. They should be earth shattering explosions of pleasure. I wish I had known when my last amazing orgasm was so I could have savoured it.
I'm 47. Average life span for women in my family over the last several generations is late 90s. My Nana lived to 107 and the rest lived well into their 90s. I'm only half way through my life and all of a sudden I'm not looking forward to the rest of it.
