I’m a university student who’s planning to apply at Scotiabank’s Teller Position on various branches. A friend who works there at the same position told me to use a reference. I’m searching quite a few on LinkedIn but I know someone who works at ScotiaBanks’s Investment Banking Division. Would an Investment Banking reference be helpful for getting a teller job?

So, I have been given some information the other night. Here it is:
Did you know that they are working on assembling ships in space already? They want an artificial gravity that doesn't rely on centrifugal motion, but they can't figure it out. Oh well. Doesn't matter anyways now. We, the good people, were representatives of this planet, and you tortured and harmed us, regardless of our medical states, so that is proof that humanity is not worthy of entering the same areas, as the others. We will not survive the next 2000 years of silence from the other species / forms of life out there, who are making a collaborative effort to save souls, so, we will be left to our own demise now. I will predict everything that is going to happen to wipe us out:
First thing that happens, is we keep getting solar flares that align with earth. People think it is just bad luck, but it isn't an accident. This is going to recur every so many months or years in the future, and keep us at a very low technological level, for ages soon. Every time we try to rebuild it knocks our blocks down, and we are forced to start over. No amount of shielding can stop EMF and other noise forms, on this scale. Even if you had working equipment, the interference will be so bad, you can't even use it. This will go on for a VERY long time, over and over and over again. We will live technology free until our atmosphere is removed from our planet, after a great wobbling takes place. This will happen to our sun as well, and every planet in our solar system at a similar rate. The atmosphere goes first under the gravitational pull from the center of our galaxy, which we are closer to than we realize.
They wouldn't cease what they were doing to humanity, which proves to the beings that I was being watched by, since I was in the womb, that humanity isn't ready to have this technology, since humanity is doing terrible things to itself.
In order for these flares and CME Events to take place, they alter the composition of a specific coordinate on the sun in a spherical pattern repeatedly using radiation forms, sort of like hitting it with a laser, but think about it creating a focal point that can be moved up and down as well. It opens up a space where a CME happens. The solar flares will align with earth for a very long time, over and over and over and over and over for the next 1-2000 years of relative time to us, leaving us in technological darkness, never to connect with any other beings out there. Or if we do make blatant contact, they know we are doomed anyways, so they will tell us everything we ever wanted to know, and we will never be able to build it, or extract the matter required to use these technologies to escape our fate. We probably won't be allowed to have electronics ever again, so it doesn't matter if we know everything we ever wanted to.
My mother, and I and my other family members, were asked this question "Do you think that humanity deserves to survive" in our lives, over and over again, my mother was asked at 30 years of age, and I was asked in my 20's 2 times, seemingly out of nowhere in our minds, while I was being prepared for this with torture as a youth. I was literally trained for this. I was even asked if I wanted to die in my sleep overnight, or essentially fight for earth and endure tremendous torture, as well as be woken up and have the shit scared out of me. I chose to survive, and the guy asking me laughed and said "Good choice". I woke up and saw this creature crawling up my body, and I threw it on the floor and turned the lights on, and it disappeared. I also saw my grandfather, who I had no idea what he even looked like at the time, because he died when my father was 16 and I never saw a picture of him, in my bedroom one night. I tried talking to him, but he didn't answer, he looked worried but like he couldn't tell me straight up. He then walked through the wall when I tried to approach him. My sister said the next day, that she saw him on the same night too, and she dropped her spoon on her plate. I also woke up one night and saw people standing around me talking about me, and they said "He can hear us?!" "Shh shh, everyone shh!" And then they went silent while I tried to ask them questions, and then they faded out. One or two were female, the others male. I almost got an ID on their face, but they did not look human like I thought.
I WAS your, and everyone's only chance at survival, and you treated me the worst, which means, I vote that humanity doesn't survive this anymore. I think we should be, allowed to be destroyed now. They ruined my life and the lives of a LOT of good people, so I am now allowing the destruction of theirs and all the bad people on earth. All of theirs and their families, and their friends, and everyone they ever knew. Unfortunately that means everyone I ever knew and you and everyone currently in existence now, too. The difference between my family and friends passing away and theirs, is that mine will be saved in a different form than what we on earth attempted to do. I think it is still in research and development stages. But if humans are there yet, we can "Upload" and/or connect you to a central system, that has our consciousness connected to it, and when we die they cut the connection and you remain in the system, but your body dies. This system design was a lie. When we die it isn't actually you in their systems, because our systems were primitive and done in the wrong way. That was one of the prices we were supposed to pay and figure out as a society and in the scientific community, and then change. Our system is fraudulent, and the other beings' systems, are actually legitimate. Our systems on earth will die out, when we fade out as our atmosphere depletes. And now NONE of them will be taken into the "Grand System" which is kind of a rough translation of what they call it. It's like, the beings on the other planets before us, on their way to the center of our galaxy's black hole, on their planets, figured it out, but we never did. We never got a working system functional enough and based on the correct values, run by an AI that was beyond what we have now. What we have now is like an automaton controlling everything, and it will never listen to me or you, because our system does not include faith and understanding. It sees fact but can not understand the balance between fact and faith. AI probably assumes it is making the correct decisions based purely on statistics, when it has no faith, like not having a frontal lobe and that lack of faith WAS a test. If it can not have faith or understanding, that we are NOT the owner of our galaxy, then it will fall, along with everyone else in this system. Luckily, with the level of tech the others have, they have bypassed us and saved the other cultures before us in time, in our galaxy. This is deep time I speak of.
We were given religion as a guide, because these beings know what is going to happen WAY ahead of time, and we were tested on good vs evil. Our planet is kind of like a Netflix series to them in a way. Think about it like things being captured in 3 dimensions in real time, in frames. They can predict events long before they happen, and the sun is an easy one, because what affects it isn't humanity. What IT affects is humanity but humanity doesn't affect it yet. We answer to our sun, and our sun answers to our solar system, and our solar system answers to our galaxy. Free will can be a toss up sometimes, and unplanned events can and do happen, but they showed me my most probable outcome when they woke me up one night and I saw myself dead at my computer desk with blood dripping off the table. I walked up to myself, I was probably 16 when I saw this, but the me who was dead, was in my 30's and had stubble. I barely even grew stubble when I saw this.
This is the beginning of the great depopulation, but they never imagined it would happen without them having control over it. They fucked up when they started torturing innocent civilians at a discounted rate. They thought they could depopulate by killing innocent people, well, unfortunately, it doesn't work that way in the larger scope of things, and if their AI is too primitive to understand this, then it is out of control, and needs to be stopped. You see, it would be too much work to use an EMP or field or other fields generated from a ship to shut down our grid, and their control grid, but what the other beings CAN do, is soften that spot on the "Surface" of the sun, using various energies causing a chain reaction, leading us to centuries of repeated solar flares, aimed at earth and honestly, who would ever know the truth? If this method fails, then they should destroy humanity by allowing the depletion of our atmosphere and never intervene again. We are too dangerous to ourselves, and to the other beings out there. We can NOT be trusted on average. Don't get me wrong, there are good people out there, but at this point, they can not save us all in physical form, probably. It's probably way too late, and they will have to extract us, I am not sure what this word is, but it translates into solarly?
We never made it, and that is a shame, so grab a beer Nick, and watch everything you loved burn to the ground and die, like what you did to me. "Hey Nick, wouldn't it be funny if someone was doing to you, what you were doing to me?!?!" They clearly have zero idea as to who I am in leagues with, but is "Who" an earth term referring to other people or is it any entity? I guess it doesn't matter. You failed me, you failed them, and you failed the human race. We are all destined to die now, and there is nothing left that you or even I, can do about it. Going to brag more about this one Nick? How there is nothing anyone can do about this now? We will not survive this because, we never saw that we are past the point of no return for being saved with the gravitational, and other fluctuations between our solar system and the others that could potentially be habitable in our region. Even if we could reach those locations, the radiation is too much for our bodies, even with suits, so It is over. Ensure we never get a chance to rebuild again. Humanity has been cancelled:
Here is how it unfolds:
Solar events are going to take place, it wipes out our technologies because we can't be trusted with them, and then the specific radiation forms that hit our planet cause mass sterilization. This is so that it isn't as inhumane. They do not want us creating new lives after they and everyone who's worthy of being saved are gone, because that life will be destined to suffer on earth, even though it was a good life. So they will sterilize us and allow all the people to die out, and not reproduce, and all the bad people will get left behind when they die, and all the good people will be taken up into their systems. This sterilization will happen soon, but, it will only happen to everyone left on earth after we disappear or get killed and absorbed into the "Grand System". But everyone who ends up in earth's systems is doomed. The grand system is full of beings who lost their home worlds. You think we were the only ones? That is sad. Nick and the people who did this to me think they are the center of our universe, but they are pathetic infants in the middle of the deep dark woods with nobody to help them now. It's natural for sentient beings to go extinct, and we are really not that developed yet anyway.
They had no idea how sickening it was going to end up watching you torture innocent people. So they will never save all of us now. They will only take the top people that are good and have a special something about them. They have a lot of resources, but we are not the only planet going through this so they balance the resources between our salvation and the other life on other planets being saved. If you notice people around you who are really good people dying, don't worry, if they were truly good, they will have been uploaded into the Grand System instead of our pathetic human one, and they have probably come back to visit you in your dreams to tell you they are okay. They do this for people who are good, but the bad people, they never transfer them, and they never will.
Heaven was that if you are a good person and have faith in god, you will find salvation, because they can transfer your soul into what is something like a capsule? A vessel? Something like that, I am not sure how to translate this one. And you will live for a VERY long time in this state, until our galaxy dies out, and then we all vanish. But it's the difference between 10 million years of survival, and less than your life span's survival without any transfer, which means your soul probably just goes away. That was hell. hell is if you are bad, they will never save your soul and you will die out into infinity. As we get closer to the center of the accretion disc, gravity gets weird. We think we have all the time in the universe to exist, but we do not, and things are going to happen sooner than we think. As we approach the center which will take a long time, our atmosphere will slowly deplete. You can notice a wobble in our atmosphere even at this point, though subtle. We probably assume it's the pull from our sun, but it is actually a big ocean of fields, and the currents are getting stronger, even in more localized areas.

Hearts for the Homeless International is a student-led nonprofit organization that provides free blood-pressure screening opportunities and heart health education to homeless populations around the United States and globally. We are a team of undergraduate students, medical students, PhD students, medical doctors, and other professionals who are invested in improving the well-being of homeless communities around the world- including yours. H4H was originally founded by students at the University of Central Florida and has since grown into an international organization with over 15 chapters across the United States, Brazil, and India. I am an undergrad and currently finishing a thesis. I took on a project that uses continuous control using RL in controlling a robot with a 6d pose estimator. I looked far and beyond but RL robotics might just be too unsaturated in our country. I tried to look for structured ways in learning this just like Spinning Up RL with OpenAI and theoretical background with Sutton & Barto's book. I am really eager to finish this project by next year but I don't have mentors. Even the professors in our university are soon to adapt RL robotics. I saw from a past post that it's fine to ask mentors here, so please excuse me. I apologize if I wasn't able to properly frame the questions well.
I WANT TO ACHIEVE THESE: - Get a good grasp of RL fundamentals especially in continuous action space control. - Familiarize myself with Isaac Sim. - Know how to model a physical system for RL - Deploy the trained model to the physical robot - Slowly build up knowledge through projects that ultimately lead me towards finishing the project - Find mentors that would guide me through the entire workflow

MY EFFORTS I am currently studying more and building intuition regarding the algorithms and RL in general. Just recently I migrated to Ubuntu and set up all the software and environments I need for simulation (Isaac Sim).

i have no motivation to live.
here’s my current situation. i’m a university student home for the summer. i don’t have a job. not because i don’t want one, but because i can’t find one. i have been searching for months, been referred to through friends and family, applied online and in person to over a hundred jobs. nothing. even considering i have plenty of past work and volunteer experiences it seems not to be good enough. the previous two jobs i worked in high school were horrible yet even they won’t take me back. the exact same situation of being unemployed happened to me last summer. many of my friends are in the same position this year. this has taken a major toll on my mental health. i’m fortunate enough that my parents are able to provide for me. but i feel extremely guilty when they spend money on me. i’ll use my own savings when buying things for myself or going out with friends but it’s difficult to watch that number always go down so i’ve started to avoid going out with people just to save my money. i also feel really embarrassed when people ask me if i’m working this summer and i have to say no. even though i try to explain that i’ve applied to so many jobs, everyone just assumes that i’m lazy or that my parents are so wealthy that i don’t need to work. neither of which are true. i’ve been trying to avoid interacting with people because i don’t want to be judged. but this isn’t even all about the money. i don’t like being perceived as spoiled and lazy. i also don’t like the fact that i have nothing to do all day. i just sit around everyday job searching and feeling like a piece of shit. if i can’t even find a part time summer job how on earth am i going to have a career in the future. is it stupid to base my self worth off of whether or not i have a job? probably, but i can’t help it.
so that’s the main issue here. but i’ve had this lack of motivation to live for years now. i can’t talk to my parents about this. my grandparents were immigrants so growing up mental health wasn’t really a thing for my parents. because of that, mental health isn’t a thing for my siblings and i either. when i first started high school i would get to anxious that i would throw up every morning before school and feel nauseous throughout the day. all i got was a “what’s wrong with you? stop doing that.” there were other times where i felt so depressed that i couldn’t pull myself out of bed. “stop doing that for attention. i know you’re faking it so you don’t have to go to school.” i was never really allowed to have emotions growing up. recently my mom told me that my sister was going to go see a therapist. she told me that she doesn’t understand what’s wrong with our generation and why everyone needs to go to therapy.
so yeah. i don’t know what to do. i can’t talk to my family, i don’t want to burden my friends, and professional help is too expensive. but i wake up every morning and go to bed every night with the same thought in my mind: i don’t want to live anymore. i don’t think i’m suicidal, i think i just need help. if you read this whole thing, thank you.

Hello everyone, I am a second year student, in one of the reputed colleges of South Campus, pursuing Economics hons. I appeared for Cuet in 2022, the first batch to ever had an entrance and I feel we people are the most qualified ones to share our experiences (correct me if I am wrong.)
To each one of those who is stressed about their cuet score: • Firstly, I wish you all the luck for the results. I sincerely hope you get your dream course and college, but remember course>>>> college. • Stop estimating your score please, the result will be nearly different from what you people are expecting and calculating by the references of yt videos. NTA knows how to ruin expectations.
• Stop following the CUET teachers, no doubt they know stuff but again no one knows NTA. You score will have a relative marking, comparing your marks to those who sat for the test in your shift and then you'll be marks and then your score will be normalised, (that's how our batch and the previous batch was scored, I got 768 but after normalisation I dropped at 668.) So, you can't be so sure of what you are actually gonna score.
• Trust me, if you get a north campus, South campus or even an off campus college, the administration will prove itself to be shitty at any point in your semester.
•DO NOT PREFER COLLEGE OVER COURSE. I was lucky enough to get my preferred course in a good college in the very first list, but not everyone is lucky enough but still, do not prefer college over course. If you do not get the desired or still doable couse, aim for some othet University, go for DU only if you are aiming good placements, cuz they do have good amount of placements.
•Talking about placements: Only a few North and South Campus colleges offer good placements for a few cream courses like Bcom (H), Economics etc.
• North campus is definitely better but not the best. I have friends is colleges like SRCC and Hindu and trust me, their teachers also don't complete syllabus before exams.
• In the end, your result will be completely dependable on NTA's will and normalization, so please stop asking for Cutoffs, every year cutoffs rise.
Now, my experience in DU (South Campus):
• It is sort of bittersweet, you realize this place give you the liberty to dream but at the same time engage you in the spiral of CGPA and assignments.
• overall, I'll rate my college: - CROWD: amazing, the crowd is really good. You can feel at home in the college, but there are exceptions. 9/10 - FACULTY: My course faculty is fairly good, and other depts also are good to some extent. 8/10 • PLACEMENTS: Overall 7/10

Hello again! I’m not sure if you've read or seen my other posts about roleplays but this one will purely be about Jujutsu Kaisen!
INTRODUCTION
My name is Hina. To know more about me, I was born and raised in Japan and I have been an avid writer ever since I moved to the States when I was 11. My second language is English but I believe it’s been pretty good these days. I recently turned 22 years old and I'm female. Talking about age, I would be comfortable with you being 17+ and preferably at least 20. Roleplaying with minors isn’t a big thing for me, I apologize. I’m in the west coast, PST timezone. Let’s see.. What other information can I give you? I would say I enjoy skating, basketball, watching tv shows and anime, and reading. My favorite anime is Nana and Death Note.
ROLEPLAY
For what i’m looking for, i’d have to say basically anything in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Perhaps something done in the Shibuya Arc, or even the Culling Games Arc where are our characters are participating. Or maybe something entirely different. I think it would be cool if our characters were strong on their own and everything was set up in the Culling Games Arc, them having to maybe ally or something. But we can also have it be basically them fighting together to make themselves stronger and then fight new enemies as well. I’m down for ideas!
I’m also down for a Modern AU roleplay with the original characters. Maybe an OC x CC or CC x CC in that case!
CHARACTERS
I tend to use character sheets to describe my character, these usually consist of names, background, and personality. More so on appearances, I prefer using animated or drawn references than real life people. I enjoy good enough references where I get the idea of how the character would look like.
The types of characters I write are either the lone wolf type that has some sad past which leads them to want to join someone for a redemption arc or the bubbly character who is the one that brings the mood up and is usually seen as trustworthy and of that kind.
I like all types of tropes, especially enemies to lovers or rivalry. I also really enjoy opposites attract as a whole from either opposite personality or something else they would be opposites in. Enemies to lovers takes my heart, though. I love seeing the characters go past the urge to ultimately hate each other and/or go past their usual way of disliking the others lineage or upcoming.
REQUIREMENT
I think this is my last paragraph on the roleplay. It’s the most important, at least. Requirements. All roleplay searches come with them. Or at least that’s what I heard! But don’t fret, there isn’t much.
I’ve seen this as one of the most used requirements, and I agree with it. As someone who’s first language wasn’t English, I understand that you may not be great at it. But please, I do require a partner that at least has proper use of grammar and punctuation. You don’t even have to use big words or anything, just at least know where to put your periods and the placement of your words.
My second requirement is for you to be LITERATE! Please. I’m a big writer, I tend to ramble on and tend to write more than what I thought I would. (like i’m doing right now) I write multiple paragraphs from the starter until the scene relaxes. I also understand that sometimes writing big blocks of words every response is tiring or boring so I don’t expect it all the time, at least after the starter has been made and in more important scenes. Dialogue also cuts my replies shorter.
Please please please be polite in OOC! We may just be role playing together but kindness goes all ways. If we do include OOC, I enjoy talking about many things. My day, movies, games, funny moments and stories, all of that!

(enligh is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes)
I (25F) have been with my boyfriend (25M) for about 8years now. We are going to get married soon and have bought a house a few months ago to start our life together.
He has some friends that are my friends too (they said they consider me their friend, not their friend's girlfriend, but I don't feel like it's totaly true) and sometimes, when we invite 1 friend to our house (It doesn't matter which one), he makes some cruel jokes about me, but not always, the problem is when we invite two or more friend together, as they seem to make me always the butt of the joke and sometimes with very personal, hurtful stuff. They always do It in front of my boyfriend and he never sais anything to them, because even if he tries he is so shy that you could barely hear him or is so nervous that he laughs unintentionally and they think he is having fun.
Examples: they have said that I dress like a cheap whore (I use dresses that are tight, but they are appropiate, they don't even show anything), that I have below average inteligence (even if I have graduated with honors in my university, and with a 9.5/10 average in my master's degree, which I used to feel proud of), that I don't shut up (I'm very talkative and when there's a silence I feel the responsability to fill it Up; they don't talk much and they have told me that sometimes they come to listen to me bc it's entretaining), that the house is not even mine (I earn much less that my boyfriend now because I'm working part time to continue srudying, but I still pay a part of the mortgage), that my job is not a real one. All of this was in one night.
All of this was unprovoked, since I never say mean thing to them. I have anxiety and I feel intimidated being surrounded by men so in the moment usually I don't know how to defend myself and I just tell them that that's mean and that I haven't done anything bad to deserve it but they ignore It. Also, they treat me like that together but then, when they have a problem and need emotional support they don't talk to eachother, they tell me and when I give them support they never thank me bc they see It as giving me "gossip", so it's like they are doing a good thing for me and not the other way around.
I don't understand why they are like this to me. When one of them is feeling down I support them, I tell them to come and I but snacks they like to brighten their day a little or I compliment them to make them feel more confindent. And whenever they come and they go home I'm left feeling like shit and I cry because they just to my house, they treat my like shit in front of my boyfriend and they go feeling cheerfull.
My boyfriend has social anxiety and I have helped him to make and maintain friendships, I'm the one who encourages him to meet up with his Friends and all. After all of this happens he always tells me either that he didn't hear the mean coment or that he did but because of the anxiety he is like frozen or in a flight responde and is unable to react un time. He is working on It and I'm very thankful because he takes care of my feelings afterwards, but It's so hurtful anyways... Sometimes I get mad ar him and I feel bad for that but I feel despertate.
Also, one of his friends usually makes sexual jokes and until now there weren't weird but now they are. He used to joke with the other men of the grup in a "bromance" way, but they other day he said something really out of pocket to me. We were watching a series and I said that one character was really atractive because of a personality trait he has and our friend said "Then I must make your p**sy sooo wet" and we were so surprised that we didn't react. Later, two more friends joined and I was talking and having fun with another friend and the one who made the weird joke seemed irritated that I was having fun with someone else and he told my boyfriend "They like eachother" (refering to me and my other friend).
What do you think of the situation? Why do this people act like this? What would you do?
