My father has his 2009 civic sedan LX, 1.8L, L4, and his A/C has stopped working. He took it to firestone for initial diagnosis. They said the compressor is the issue. They recommend to replace compressocondensoevaporator and to recharge with R134A, all with parts and labor and taxes 3236. It's an insane amount.
I looked at the parts on RockAuto doing an overhaul of the entire system from compressor kit (which has compressor, condenser, expansion valve, rings, pag oil for 256. Evaporator is another 50. At this time since we have to take out the alternator to get to compressor and belt. Would recommend him to replace the alternator and serpentine belt. 125k miles, recently bought 6 months ago as second hand from Honda Dealership.
Essentially i am not there to help, but i need the community's help to identify good shops to A) get quote from, but B) if any shops are okay with us bringing the parts (obvs no warranty offered from shop as it's our part) and they help with installation.

My father has his 2009 civic sedan LX, 1.8L, L4, and his A/C has stopped working. He took it to firestone for initial diagnosis. They said the compressor is the issue. They recommend to replace compressocondensoevaporator and to recharge with R134A, all with parts and labor and taxes 3236. It's an insane amount.
I looked at the parts on RockAuto doing an overhaul of the entire system from compressor kit (which has compressor, condenser, expansion valve, rings, pag oil for 256. Evaporator is another 50. At this time since we have to take out the alternator to get to compressor and belt. Would recommend him to replace the alternator and serpentine belt. 125k miles, recently bought 6 months ago as second hand from Honda Dealership.
Essentially i am not there to help, but i need the community's help to identify good shops to A) get quote from, but B) if any shops are okay with us bringing the parts (obvs no warranty offered from shop as it's our part) and they help with installation.

Hello, I’ll try and keep this as short as possible. I’m the youngest of 6. My parents split up when I was about 2, so all my memories of my dad are of him living separate from us. As a result, I never had much of a relationship with him. There was always drama or something happening so we just never developed a close relationship. I see him as my dad and am cordial, but I don’t go out of my way to talk or see him. I now have my own family, and while he would appreciate to see my kids I keep him (and to be fair most of the rest of my family) at an arm’s length from my kids.

A lot of people do love them to fleece the Lord's sheep with the "Lord, Lord" passage, so I'm here to present a counterpoint before this Scripture twisting claims another apostasy and earns the atheist sub one more follower.
God is not an ungrateful sky prick who cares nothing about what you do for Him. Yes, He does have a warrant to not to care because indeed what the Supreme Being has to gain from little worms such us Humans? But here's the thing: God, much unlike how Humans would be if they had His power and position, is good and loving to an unimaginable degree. The Psalmists were not gushing empty praises when they said that God's Benevolence is endless.
But people keep seemingly forgetting that God is loving and merciful and keep projecting this image of Him being anything but loving and merciful. All because of one twisted passage.
Let's unpack Matthew 7:22. People interpret it as a message of serving God being useless Salvation-wise because no matter if you outright manifest miracles and preach the Gospel, the Lord will supposedly pretend He never knew you despite literally having directly talked to you through the Holy Spirit if you got to the point of being eager to serve Him, supposedly because of some kind of minor slip up or minor deviation of some theological detail that God has made of point of leaving up for interpretation and casuistic wisdom-based application. Is this the God you believe? This is the God you call good, loving and merciful? If yes, please seek therapy because you are in the early phases of CPTSD and you are being gaslit by spiritual abusers and/or abusive parents (if you aren't an abuser yourself). But I digress.
A God that forgets service for Him is not the God of the Bible, because the Bible literally states that God doesn't forget service for Him. It's right there in Hebrews 6:10, in no ambiguous terms. Let alone all the promises of God of rewards for fulfilling the Law, which is fulfilled automatically through Faith in the Lord as Lord and Saviour.
Also, a God that ignores pleas for mercy and deferential judgement is not the God of the Bible, because He Himself said that He will always give what is asked for. It's right there in Matthew 7:7-11, with literally not "but", no "excepting", no nothing that would violate the promise.
Additionally, there is a biblical precedent of someone do claiming "Lord, Lord, didn't I stuff for you?" and being... ACCEPTED, SAVED and BLESSED for it. It's in 2 Kings 20. God outright changed His mind from the prophecy He gave to Isayah, and because of a simple claim of works-based righteousness of someone who didn't even know the Lord existed so there was no way to believe Him as Lord and Saviour, """violating""" several Bible passages in both Old and New Testaments. Why that? Because God is good, loving and merciful to that extent. This is not the full explanation, though, but I will get to that.
Now you may ask, "But then why did Jesus say that He would reject the people claiming 'Lord, Lord'?". About that, let's clear a huge misunderstanding that was perpetrated by the Synagogue of Satan: the concept of falling away.
Although there is a real biblical explanation for this principle (and I will get to that), C.S Lewis has said it succintly: the door of Hell is locked from inside. It means that there is no such a thing as God looking down and denying mercy to a supplicating sincere repenting person. Not even in Hell. All cases of God being stern and firmly opposed to human desires for salvation and grace are strictly reserved for Apostates. And I mean real, red-blooded Apostates, not backsliders. A true Apostate is someone who outright denies the Gospel, fully consciously and fully deliberately, from a fully sincere position of deciding to hate and reject God. Apostasy is not an accident, nor something that can even implied from actions or lack thereof of people suffering from Scrupulosity. A real Apostate is glad and happy for being so, so no real Apostate will ever come here and say that they have fallen away, they will instead be commemorating it in any deconstruction-narrative abiding venue. Apostates hate God and unironically say He's wrong and evil.
Apostates are so because they have made the decision to engage themselves into a mental downwards spiral of distrusting God and denying the effectiveness of godliness despite having appearance of it (as explicitly said in 2 Timothy 3:5). There are two ways of doing it: Legalism and Cheap Grace. Legalism denies the absolute and unchecked sin-cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus by disbelieving on it to the point of wanting to be righteous by human efforts; and Cheap Grace denies the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by persisting in sin. Both leads down to the same path of distrusting God in one way or another. This distrust in God confirms itself through it's effects of elliciting God's distaste, which manifests in form of God not imparting Faith on Legalists and not convicting Cheap Gracers on their sins. Thus it becomes a downwards spiral that end is apostasy because the distrust starts to feel warranted as God is not acting for nor against something that was strictly no fault of His, and thus the distrust becomes rejection due to it feeling warranted. In actuality, they are just struggling in a cage made by themselves and never choosing to acknowledge that they are just being stupid. At absolutely no point in this internal debacle they ask for God's mercy, because they are sure that they are in the right. Hence the "Hell's door is locked from the inside".
Thus, all stern warnings and threats against Apostasy are really warranted. After all, who would like to put up with someone who actively chooses to hate you more and more even though you are literally doing nothing to earn such heat? Neither would God. He is merciful, but not stupid.
All that said, there is a way out of this downward spiral. Yes, even for Apostates there is hope, however small it may be. The way out is simply repentance, changing of mind. That's why God will be merciful even if you fit the bill of Apostasy perfectly, even if you are willfully sinning, even if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit, even if you in the past made a decision of rejecting Him, even if He says He never knew you, even if He says you're done for. Just as it was with Ezekiah, who got told He was condemned and got off the hook by repenting, you will break out from the Apostasy spiral by simply repenting, and all threats, warnings and sentencings against you will poof away. These are only for Apostates. Apostates never repent, so if you repent, you are not an Apostate, so the warnings are not for you.
So... Yeah. God is not ingrate. Your terrible fate is only set in stone if you want it to be.

As the title says, I 20M made many decisions that I believe messed up my youth experience and will probably have consequences in my future. If you don’t want to read all of this just read the last question paragraphs.
So basically, I lost a year in High School due to bad grades at 17, as I had to work another 2 jobs to help my family, which went trough an extremely hard financial situation. I lost almost all my friends that year and became extremely depressed, and bitter. I gained lot of weight and my hygiene was on all time low.
At 18 I became extremely antisocial and literally only went to like 3 parties, where I didn’t do anything. I became over stressed over my future, my career, and started thinking that I’m a failure. I legit couldn’t even focus on girls, or anything like that because of how much I was thinking to try to figure my life out. Even though I started going in the gym, and put (physically) my shit together, I was still mentally depressed and even though girls and people were approaching me, I still acted like an autistic person, and messed up my last year at high school. I only focused on getting my grades up.
By 19, where I had to pick a college to go on, again, I messed up real bad in the access exams due to working the last months. My grades were so bad I had to go to a famous online school in my country, which is known for being the “failure students” uni. I spent 2 years studying hard to get a good grade and pick a good college, and still failed tremendously, meanwhile other people who didn’t focus and just partied and lived their lives, went to the one I wanted to.
So, I decided to start my degree online, and miss the first year college experience. This killed me inside but well, life goes on. Basically I spent that year working on multiple places, training, and being miserable. Meanwhile my classmates were enjoying the shit out of their lives, I was working in some low class jobs (I saved a lot of money but it doesn’t compensate), studying at the worst uni possible, and being stressed 24/7.
As if this wasn’t enough, this year I missed the matriculation of the access exam. I was misinformed via phone call and now it’s too late for me to do the access exam. I spent a whole year studying for nothing. I genuinely feel like my life is over, like 100%. Never, ever, in my life I had this sense of extreme emptiness and overwhelmed. I can not longer train properly, sleep, work, study, do self improvement habits without the thought that I completely f up my youth, even though I was working hard and doing my best, It’s absolutely incredible how hopeless I am now. It really is over. All my plans are terminated, all the work and endless hours that I’ve gone through just working were useless.
So basically my main concern is that I’d have to wait till I’m 21 to actually be on a decent college (3rd year), till then I have to study online and ruin completely my college experience. I genuinely don’t want to work as garbage man/toilet cleanesecurity/airport auxilia… kind of jobs that I went through, but I’m forced. Everybody knows I worked as these and make fun of me. I don’t have anything going on in life. I do feel like my social circle is also a big contributing factor, as almost all my close friends are in the same position as me. I do not want to end up like my family, working all their lives in low class jobs, but I am really going that path if I keep being this way. The career path that I chose (Computer Science) is really making me rethink whether this is for me or not. I am not enjoying coding, or at least the way they teach it. I only enjoy it when I code my own things, but working 8 hours a day in front of a screen…
I would like to ask some questions to people who may think can contribute something:
-Do you think I am missing a lot of the college experience? Like meeting a lot of new friends, girls, parties and all that stuff? I don’t know what is it like. I’m concerned if I’m just over stressing. I want to get to know people, girls, but I’m just not able to.
-Is it weird to be in college at 21 without knowing anybody there? What if I start a new degree? Will I be the uncle of the class?
-Will I do right if I get rid of my friends? They’re all very low level people, with black future, but they’re the only reason I have minimum social skills.
-Am I doing right focusing way too hard on self improvement? I’ve been watching hundreds and hundreds of hours of podcasts to gain knowledge and proper mentality, but I’m scared I will learn the same things if I just lived properly and do what everybody my age does. Maybe maturity can’t be learned.
-How do I not waste the year? I’ll have a lot of free time in some months, I genuinely don’t know what to do. All I have in my sad life is a 100k youtube channel that grew a lot in the last months that really doesn’t compensate all my lost experiences in life. My family isn’t being harsh at me due to “losing” the year, but I always had high expectations over myself and now I’m in the literally worst position possible.
-Am I doing wrong thinking I will make money on my own? Am I just being the classic 20yo kid who thinks he will become a millionaire?

Hello all, Recently was stuck in the middle of the road cause my Frontier just died right after hearing some sort of clunk noise. After being towed home I connected my scanner and got code 0340. Looking over some info on the internet I thought maybe it was a bad camshaft position sensor but troubleshooting deeper I saw the rotor on the distributor not spinning while I turn the key to try and start it. Question is, is a timing belt replacement something I can do myself? I’m pretty mechanically inclined. I’ve replaced my water pump, starter and alternator before but being the timing belt idk if it’s out of my skill set considering they’re certain specs that have to be aligned. Also is there something else I can check to see if it’s actually the timing belt without getting to deep into removing parts?
