Hello! My electricity contract expires on 5/30, and it completely slipped my mind that the price changes regularly. I got another renewal reminder email from my current provider (Champion Energy) this week and just looked at the new rates - they are significantly higher than what I'm paying today.
My current plan (Champ Saver for 12 months) rate is 7.3¢/kWh, and the new rate for this plan seems to be 17.8¢ per kWh, which is more than double. The breakdown for the new rate is Energy charge: 13.0¢ per kWh and Oncor delivery charge: 4.5403¢ per kWh. Now I don't recall whether my current ongoing plan includes the delivery charge already (or it's additional), but it's still a large rate increase.

I have a question regarding the new affordable rent act that just recently passed the tweede kamer. In the act they also propose new regulations on already existing rental agreements on currently liberalised rental agreements that actually should be social housing under the already current law (less than 143 points).
Part of article 19 of the act is as follows:

I am now paying around 1400 euro per month (excluding utilities) for an apartment that should be around 700 euro per month, when calculated with the HC calculator (with 2 sqm added to each room). The only problem is they can wait for one year to adjust the rental prices, with first of July coming in our landlord will most likely increase the rent with the maximum 5.5%.
Is there any way we can fight this increase, because the rent should be lower in the first place, according to the new act, given this act passes the eerste kamer (senate)?

Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (NSE: DRREDDY) reported a net profit of ₹1,307 crore in the January-March quarter on Tuesday, May 7, which jumped 36% on a year-on-year basis, aided by robust sales in the US market. For the full year ended on March 31, 2024, Dr Reddy's net profit rose to ₹5,568 crore as compared with ₹4,507 crore in the 2022–23 financial year.
Dr Reddy's Q4FY24 revenue came in at ₹7,083 crore, rising 12.5% from ₹6,297 crore in Q4FY23, but lower than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹7,347.2 crore.
The company's EBITDA surged nearly 15% on a YoY basis to ₹1,872 crore, but was lower than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹2,056.4 crore. The margin increased to 26.4% from 25.9% a year ago.
Dr Reddy's Board also declared a final dividend of ₹40 per equity share for FY2023-24, which is 800% when compared to the face value of ₹5 per share.
"The dividend will be paid on or after five days from the date of declaration of the final dividend by the shareholders at the ensuing 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company," the company informed exchanges.
