- What do the studies say?
- Design: In a double-blind, randomized, 12-week, parallel intervention study, 38 healthy subjects replaced part of their habitual dietary fat intake with 39 g fat from test butter made from milk from mountain-pasture grazing cows or from cows fed conventional winter fodder.
- Results: No differences in blood lipids, lipoproteins, hsCRP, insulin, glucose or glucose-tolerance were observed.
- There are not even any human trials comparing grass fed beef to grain fed beef, so I could disregard their claim just based on that. But I will compare them anyway:
- An 100-gram serving (a little under four ounces) of grass-fed sirloin contains 65 milligrams of omega-3 fats, loin has 40 and rib-eye has 37. So even that 65-milligram amount is only about 22 milligrams more than that for regular beef and still far below levels in low-fat fishes such as tilapia (134 milligrams) and haddock (136). Salmon has 1,270 milligrams.
- Grass-fed beef provides only .02 mg more of Vitamin E per serving than grain-fed beef, so if you’re concerned about your vitamin intake, you will be much better off looking towards carrots, almonds, and fortified products.
- ALL beef cattle are grass-fed and raised on their mothers until they are weaned at about 7-10 months of age. There is a common misconception that cattle should not eat corn. But corn is a type of grass.

So, my wife recently gave birth to our first child. A BEAUTIFUL baby girl. We had to conceive via IVF due to male factor infertility. My sperm DNA fragmentation index is over 90%.
I love our baby girl, but we are already talking about how much we want her to have siblings. We have a few siblings "in the freezer", but IVF is expensive, insurance doesn't cover any of it, and there are no guarantees. But, of course, neither is the potential fools errand my headline is referring to either.
I've been scouring for any information about DNA fragmentation, as well as my low ejaculate volume (about 1/3rd normal volume) and while ejaculatory ducts are not comorbid with high DNA fragmentation, I figure, if I take supplements with the intention of helping the DNA and increasing my volume, this might give us our best chances for successful natural conception. (My basic thought is if I increase the volume, I would hopefully increase the odds of there a few good men who could take the hill).
Here are the supplements I am contemplating taking, it's a lot, it's from lots of my own research, as well as others who have successfully reduced their DFI:
Zinc 15mg
Vitamin c 1000 mg
Vitamin e 1000 mg
Astaxanthin 6 mg
Resveratrol 250 mg
Tumeric extract 300mg
Vitamin B complex
Fish oil
CoQ10 800 mg
NAC 600 mg
Carnitine 1000mg
Pygeum 500 mg

Greens smoothie (celery, spinach, pineapple, pom juice)
I feel good about almost all of them having the potential to help (or at the very least, I am confident they won't make things worse- at over 90% DFI, how could things get worse amirite?) the only one I am potentially concerned about is the pygeum. It's supposed to help with increasing volume, but it's also supposedly a DHT blocker. I have been trying to figure out how much a DHT blocker would affect spermatogenesis, but I have literally found articles stating "DHT isn't needed for spermatogenesis" and then others that say it does impair it.
Any feedback is appreciated, specifically if anyone has experience/insight about the pygeum.

Hello!
I am looking at purchasing a Line 6 Helix Floor processor to include in my live setup.
My current planned setup is to have most, if not all of the band’s instruments routed through my Scarlett 18i20, which will be running an Ableton for Live set and then out through 1 or 2 outputs to FOH.
My question is will the Helix be able to produce the appropriate sound through the interface if it is premixed before being outputted to FOH? I asked a guy at my local music store about this and he said the Helix required a power amp head (e.g. Orange Pedal Baby 100) to produce the appropriate sound for any live gig situation. I thought that didn’t sound quite right but I thought I’d clarify before making the purchase.
P.S. I’m quite green when it comes to Live setups and even guitar chains for performance for that fact, so if you have any tips on how I could incorporate the Helix with my planned setup to sound as good as possible, it would be much appreciated (Please also let me know if would be better to have the Helix line separate to the interface route)

 | Hey Galaxy watch wearers! Just looking for a little guidance or info and what others do to remedy this. I have a Samsung Galaxy watch that no matter what I do, irritates my skin. Not the band, but the underside of the watch. I keep switching arms and now both wrists are dry, chapped and irritated and eventually end up peeling, sometimes cracking and bleeding no matter how much lotion or vitamin e oil I put on it. I clean my whole watch, band and contact area every day with an alcohol wipe, don't wash my face with it on to avoid getting the contact part wet, nor do I shower with it. Does anyone else have this issue? I had it as part of an annual check-up, as I have had chronic ALT enzyme elevations for an undiagnosed cause during the last 8 years. These elevations are usually 20-40 points over the upper limit. I am 27 years old, 1-2 pounds overweight, and drink during the weekends (non smoker). After increasing exercise, eating better, drinking less, taking vitamin E and TUDCA sporadically, this year all my enzymes were within the normal range. My abdominal ultrasound was unremarkable. Attached the results for my Fibroscan. I wanted to hear your thoughts as I’ll only see a doctor in 3 weeks. Thank you! |

I have two Xbox controllers that aren't connecting to my PC through micro-USB, so I thought i might need to update the controller's firmware. The only guides that tell you how to do this all say to "download the Xbox Accessories app" and update it from there.
I've already tried downloading the app, first through microsoft store where I couldn't find the app at all after searching for it, and then I tried through the web (https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nblggh30xj3?rtc=1&hl=en-ca&gl=CA).
There is a "download" option on the web version of microsoft store, but the downloaded file just opens the Microsoft Store app and forcibly opens the Xbox Accessories app page that i couldn't find when i searched for it myself.

Platform(s): Downloaded on my FIRE HD 10. May have also played it on my old Kindle (unsure of the exact make). I have the default Appstore and the Google Play store on my Fire, and I know I downloaded it from one of those.
Genre: Escape Game
Estimated year of release: I don't pay much attention to creation or development dates, so all I know is I played this when was younger. That puts the timeline for anytime from the 2000s go late 2010s. Most likely from 2010s though.
Graphics/art style: Attempt at realism. Like you knew it was fake, but the backgrounds had a lot of details and were reminiscent of their real-world counterparts. It took place in nature (a forest?), so most of the art was trees and such. Also lots of rocks (some i think had symbols that were part of a puzzle) and a rivewaterfall or two. (There may have been a rock cluster similar to the Stonehenge??) It was usually pretty bright, as in they seemed to really like adding sunlight or sunbeams for light.
Notable characters: Unless I am completely mistaken, there were no other characters. I don't even remember there being animals. Just you and the wilderness.
Notable gameplay mechanics: First person. I guess you would say slideshow-style? Like most escape games make you click on arrows to move across locations/perspectives, and I remember this game being the same. There was an inventory on the left-hand side with all the items you collected. I'm fairly certain each item got its own box, so you just scrolled across the side to see everything you had (and click on what you need). There also could have been a hint button (lightbulb icon) that created a yellow/glowing circle to show where you needed to go, but that may have been a different escape game entirely. Also, I think there was a way you could use a ladder or rope to climb up one of the trees to get an important item? It was probably one of the first steps of the game. Finally, the main point: you could change seasons in this game. Sadly I cannot remember how you switched between them, but I remember it was an integral part of the game. (e.g., I'm about 85% sure that river I mentioned froze in winter time so you could walk across it.) It also took place in a forest, so the seasonal changes were very obvious.
Other details: My sibling remembers this game too, so I know I didn't just imagine it.
