2024.05.20 06:33 AlertSun Can't stop thinking about my partner

My bf (M33) and I (F26) are not talking right now. We've gone through some really rough times and it's been emotionally hard on me to the point that I'm borderline on the brink of ending things. But it's hard. He's someone I really care about but he's depressed, upset all the time and runs away whenever there's an conflict. There's a lot more reasons why we aren't compatible which I made a couple posts about prior and it's hard to get into detail. After the last incident where he disappeared and left me thinking he was potentially dead for over a day I was very convinced that I needed to end things. Based on advice from sister I decided to wait for him to reach out and knowing him he hasn't yet and it's been 2 weeks. The issue with this is that I'm struggling every day to stick to my guns and wait for him to text me so that I can eventually break up with him. He is going through a death in the family so I'm trying to be sensitive as to the timing since he said he needed to be alone but it's killing me. Every day I'm going through downs of being convinced that we need to end things to going through reminiscing about him and wanting to reach out. I keep missing him emotionally even sexually and just overall have really confused feelings about all of it. It's super hard for me to stick with it and I've been having to push through every day. I want to reach out but worried that if I do I don't know if it's cause I want to end things or because I want to make sure we're okay and then we keep going down this bad relationship rabbit hole. Idk I feel like I know what I should do but I'm not 100% convinced. I keep innately coming up with excuses. I thought originally I'd wait till the 22nd of this month since that's my birthday and I thought if he doesn't text me on that day or reach out it's clear he doesn't care but honestly knowing me even though I want that to be enough I don't know whether it is. Should I reach out given the timing? Or take more time to figure out what I'm reaching out for in general?
TLDR: My boyfriend and I aren't talking after a rough period. Following my sister's advice, I'm waiting for him to reach out to break up, but it's been two weeks. He's dealing with a family death, making timing sensitive. Should I keep waiting, reach out now, or take more time before deciding?

2024.05.20 06:30 Special-Specialist78 Having issues moving on from an ex.

So, this is going to be long winded. I don’t have anyone in my life I can comfortably talk to about this, so I’m just going to get it all out here. I met my ex about 5 years ago, we dated for a bit over two and a half years overall. At first things were pretty great, honestly have never felt so into someone before or since then. We got along, had amazing conversations, and overall, we just really clicked. Unfortunately, her ex-boyfriend was harassing both of us during all of this which was stressful for obvious reasons. He was abusive to her when they were dating, definitely not a good dude. It didn’t ruin things for us though, we just went along and dealt with it when we had to. Usually it was just an occasional message from him saying stupid shit or something like that, nothing super horrible. After maybe 8 or so months, I found out she cheated on me with that ex. Nothing physical but the conversations they had were personal. Looking back on everything, it seems it had a lot to do with aforementioned abuse, nothing continued between them after me and her broke up. Several months after, we saw each other in public and talked a bit, then we hung out with mutual friends together. We hung out alone after that, and eventually rekindled our relationship. We went on for a while after that, I felt okay about things for a while, but eventually the thoughts about what happened inserted themselves into my mind more and more. It became unbearable, and to preserve my as much as I could, I left. I don’t think I explained my perspective on things very well when it all happened, and immediately tried to cope and fill the void in me with relationships, they never lasted, and only made my life messier. I’ve spent a lot of time over the last several years being more mindful, and trying to heal from various things. Generally, I’m just trying to be a better person overall. Lots of areas of my life have been drastically improved thankfully. I am a busy guy travel a good amount and have a job I enjoy. However, I CANNOT stop thinking about my ex and our relationship. I have thought every thought i could ever have about it. I am not upset at her, I understand what I should have done differently on my side. I forgive her (for real this time) and look at her side with more understanding. Lots of these things came with time and healing more from the experience. I worked on many things with my therapist. But for the life of me I cannot stop thinking about her and our relationship, I can’t help but miss her. In relationships since then, I can’t help but think of her. It makes me feel like a real piece of shit. I have accepted and know fully that we will not be getting back together, she has her own life she is living, and I’m not going to selfishly interrupt her life in any way. I genuinely wish I could let go and continue with my life.
Because of all this, I feel like a weirdo and creepy. Even though I’m not inserting myself into her life, it just makes me feel like I’m somehow doing something wrong thinking about her as much as I do.
All of this has also made dating difficult for obvious reasons.
Anyways. I’m not expecting any solutions but this has been very hard to deal with the last several years so I needed to get it off of my chest.

2024.05.20 06:29 slplps Debating whether or not to upgrade from an 05 coupe to 24 hatchback

When did you decide to upgrade your civic to a newer model?
I've had my 2005 ex coupe for about 6 1/2 years now. It is the first car I've owned. Bought it with 127000 miles from the original owner. Just broke 200k a few weeks ago. Paint is great, it drives well and has been regularly maintained besides some current minor issues. Lately it has (sporadically) been taking a couple tries to get it started. According to my boyfriend, it is leaking from somewhere.
I really like the styling of the newest gen civic and the modern amenities and safety features. I know it will be infinitely be cheaper to put more money into my current car than to drop 25-30k on a new car.
Do I drive my car into the ground until I absolutely have to buy a new car? Or do I sell it while it's still running?

🔗Dysmio Clear Hammered Glass Ceiling Fan Cover Bell Shape

https://preview.redd.it/71z8zwuxdi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ff1cd0e6ed9202e01c2735762f59f5eb1b64c5b5
As an avid interior design enthusiast, I've been continually scouting for ways to spruce up my living space without breaking the bank. I stumbled upon the Dysmio Ceiling Fan Light Covers and let me tell you, they've brought a whole new level of elegance and charm to my home. These small details make a world of difference when it comes to altering the atmosphere of a room.
The Dysmio Ceiling Fan Light Covers are traditional bell-shaped glasses made from clear hammered glass that gently ripples light, casting delicate patterns throughout my space. They've added a touch of sophistication and class that perfectly complements the existing decor. It's amazing how much of a difference a simple replacement of light covers can make in transforming your home's look and feel.
One thing that really stood out for me was the ease of installation. Each cover comes with its own mounting hole, making it a breeze to attach to my ceiling fans, wall lamps, and chandeliers. The standard 2-1/4-inch fitter also ensures versatility, so I didn't have to worry about compatibility issues.
However, the one aspect that could be improved is the size. With a height and depth of 4.75 inches, and a base width of 4.95 inches, they might not be the perfect fit for every type of light fixture. But in my case, they were just the right size to bring a renewed sense of style and ambiance to my living space.
In conclusion, the Dysmio Ceiling Fan Light Covers are an affordable and effective way to breathe new life into your home's lighting fixtures, transforming your living space with elegant and classic charm. I can wholeheartedly recommend these light cover replacements for anyone looking to elevate their interior design without breaking the bank.

🔗Classic Diamond Crystal Ceiling Light Shade

I've recently added the Boao Gold Crystal Lamp Shade to my living room, and I couldn't be happier with the sparkle it brings to the space. This product not only gives off a warm, inviting glow, but it's also incredibly durable. The non-toxic paint ensures that it won't easily rust or fade, making it a great addition to any room.
One thing to note is that the assembly process does require some effort, but once it's up and running, the payoff is worth it. The diamond and cylindrical shape of the lampshade complements a variety of decors, making it a versatile piece to have in your home.
However, keep in mind that the size might not be ideal for those looking to install this in a smaller room or ceiling height. Additionally, the packaging could use some improvement to ensure that the delicate crystal pieces remain intact during shipping.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Boao Gold Crystal Lamp Shade to anyone looking to enhance the ambiance of their living space with a touch of sparkle and elegance.

🔗Clear & Frosted Ceiling Fan Light Cover with Handmade Quality

I recently installed the XIDING Clear & Frosted Ceiling Fans Light Covers Glass Shade in my living room, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for my interior lighting. The handmade quality of this glass shade is truly impressive, and it adds a touch of elegance to our ceiling fan.
One of the best things about this glass shade is its compatibility with various ceiling fan light kit products that use a 2-1/8 inch fitter. This made replacing my old, damaged glass shade incredibly easy and straightforward. Plus, the water-resistant material makes cleaning a breeze!
However, it's crucial to correctly measure the inside diameter of your glass holder before purchasing this product. This ensures a perfect fit and avoids any disappointment upon installation. Additionally, although I didn't encounter any issues during installation, it's essential to have an adult on hand to assist with moving and placing the glass shade safely.
Customer satisfaction is a top priority for XIDING. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can request a refund as long as the item and package are in original and perfect condition.
Overall, the XIDING Clear & Frosted Ceiling Fans Light Covers Glass Shade has completely transformed my living space, and I am confident that it will do the same for you. Its durable construction, versatile compatibility, and easy-to-clean surface make it a must-have addition to any home.

My journey with the Turner Light Covers has been nothing short of a breeze. As an avid DIY enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for products that can simplify my home maintenance efforts. This product checks all the boxes - from its sleek, low-profile design to its high-quality construction, it definitely stands out.
What I really dug about the Turner Light Covers is their ease of installation. They come with their own patented trim ring mounting system which makes it incredibly easy to replace bulbs without fumbling around with tools or risking any injuries from hidden pests. The fact that they're compatible with up to 8-inch recessed lights adds to their versatility, making them suitable for both commercial and residential use.
Another key feature of these light covers is their resilience against heat and rust. They're built to handle the harsh outdoor elements, giving you peace of mind knowing they won't degrade over time. Additionally, the transparent screen provides protection without compromising on light output, ensuring your space stays bright and inviting.
However, despite all these positives, I did find one con - the price. It's a bit on the higher side compared to similar products in the market. But given the durability and convenience they offer, I think it's a worthwhile investment.

Another highlight of the glass shade is the way it beautifully filters the light, casting subtle raindrop-shaped patterns on my walls. It has transformed my space, giving it a touch of romance and artistry that I absolutely adore.
However, one concern I have is its fragility. I would advise handling it with care, as it might break if dropped.

As a homeowner who recently installed the Tenmat Recessed Light Cover, I can attest to its effectiveness in stopping unwanted air leakage through my recessed lights. I was initially concerned about how compatible these covers would be with my IC-rated recessed lights, but after reading through the installation instructions and checking the specs, I found that they worked perfectly.
The FF130E is made from a fire-safe material and has been tested to meet UL1598 and IEC 60598-1 standards, providing peace of mind when it comes to safety. One of the standout features of this product is its ease of installation; it took me just a few minutes to cover each light without any special tools or assembly required.
Another positive aspect of the Tenmat Recessed Light Cover is its ability to save energy. By providing an airtight seal over my recessed lights, I've noticed a significant reduction in drafts and noise, leading to a more comfortable living space.
However, there is one drawback worth mentioning. Some users might find the product's price point to be slightly higher than other alternatives on the market. Despite this, I believe the quality and performance of the Tenmat FF130E make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve their home's energy efficiency and overall comfort.

I recently used the EZ Shade Clip on Ceiling Light Bulb Cover in my garage, and I absolutely love it! It was super easy to install, and it completely transformed the look of my garage. The matte white shade covers the exposed bulb and provides a nice, diffused light that's perfect for working on projects.
One of the best things about this product is that it really is "EZ" to install. I mean, it took me less than a minute to clip it onto the bulb – no tools or re-wiring required! The scratch, UV, and shatter-resistant materials make me feel confident that my light bulb is secure and won't cause any safety concerns.
However, there was one minor inconvenience that I experienced. The metal clasp could be a little more versatile in terms of positioning. For instance, I had to bend it slightly to accommodate the shape of my light bulb, but it wasn't a big deal and it didn't affect the overall performance of the product.
I also appreciate the fact that this product is made in the USA by local and family-owned businesses. Plus, each purchase supports the disabled community by providing vocational work. It's a win-win for everyone!

This little glass shield, with its frosted exterior and white opal finish, has the power to transform any room into a warm and inviting haven.

In conclusion, the Lamp Replacement for Ceiling Fan - Clear Ribbed is an excellent choice for anyone looking to update their ceiling light fixtures with a stylish and functional solution.

No, replacing ceiling light covers is generally a fairly easy process. You may need to detach the current cover, carefully dismantle the light fixture, and screw or clip on the new cover. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results.

How can I clean and maintain my ceiling light cover replacement?

Clean and maintain your replacement ceiling light cover by wiping it with a soft, slightly damp cloth or sponge. Avoid using harsh chemicals, and be gentle to prevent scratches or damage. For a deeper clean, you may use a mild soap diluted in water, but always ensure the cover is thoroughly dried afterward.

Do I need any special tools or knowledge to replace my ceiling light cover?

Most ceiling light cover replacements do not require any special tools or knowledge. However, you may need a screwdriver or pliers depending on the type of fixture you have. Follow the manufacturer's instructions thoroughly for proper installation.

How do I know which type of ceiling light cover will match my existing decor?

Consider the style, material, and color of your room's existing decor when selecting a new ceiling light cover. Glass or clear light covers provide a timeless, elegant look, while opaque or patterned covers can add a modern or vintage touch to your space. Ensure the cover blends seamlessly with your room's design and color scheme.

Can I install a ceiling light cover replacement myself, or should I hire a professional?

Homeowners with basic electrical knowledge can typically replace their ceiling light covers without the help of a professional. However, if you feel uncomfortable or unsure about handling electrical components, it's recommended to hire a licensed electrician for safety reasons.

How much does it cost to replace a ceiling light cover?

The cost to replace a ceiling light cover can vary greatly depending on the type of material, style, and brand of the new cover. Prices typically range from $10 to $50 or more for high-end designs. Adding the cost of installation by a professional can add an additional $50 to $100 or more to the total cost.

How can I find the best ceiling light cover replacement options?

To find the best ceiling light cover replacement options, consider browsing home improvement stores, visiting online retailers, and reviewing customer feedback from other purchasers. Comparing prices and styles from several sources can help you identify the most suitable option for your needs and budget.

2024.05.20 06:28 Sleepy_Sheepz I think I realized why I stayed with my abuse ex

Hello everyone I finally came to a conclusion to why I stayed with my ex for so long. Im not sure what I’m looking for out of admitting this but I just need advice. First talking to my parents is NOT an option.
Okay so I 17 female was in a abusive/toxic relationship between the ages of 15-16 this was 2023. I won’t go into detail because it will cause me to spiral into thoughts about my old relationship.
I remember what startled me into leaving was a incident where he punched me in the shoulder. This wasn’t a playful thing he actually punched me in the shoulder to cause pain. I was 15 and while he begged for my forgiveness going as far as to emotionally manipulate me I thought I could forgive him. Just he hit me with the line of he only did it because he loves me and I wouldn’t listen. I don’t know why it set me off back then but I became somewhat cold towards him. My ex didn’t realize I was faking my love towards him just because it was only two months till graduation for him. He turned 18 early on in the relationship I remained 15. He did so many other things in the relationship which lead to me dumping him on graduation. He also lied to me about his grandparents being home so I could come over I’m glad everything happened to stop me that day so I can find out his grandparents weren’t home. I finally processed why he tried to get me to come over. He admitted it in the future towards me he was going to get me pregnant because I kept refusing. He told me this at 16 once more he tried to intentionally get me pregnant and to sleep with him when I was 15 and 18. I’m disturbed by this but he also used the line he was doing this for us because he loved me and this was the right thing to do.
I finally realized I allowed this to continue on because I was scared to be single. I was 15 and everyone around me had a boyfriend. I also was ashamed of the fact I’m was pansexual even my ex shamed me. Turns out he’s bisexual and was projecting his insecurities on me. And lastly it was my parents. I didn’t want them to be upset that I left a “good man” and a “perfectly normal relationship” I didn’t want my parents to be mad or shame me for leaving. I tried to stick it out but I realized he wasn’t safe to be around me and I don’t trust myself to not snap at him and hurt him on purpose. I’m glad I left that horrible toxic relationship but I’m scared of men. I don’t trust them around me or my friends. Playful fights make me get uneasy little words or things happen around me and I get stressed. I hate feeling like this but I realize this all connects to how I was raised.

2024.05.20 06:28 lady-in-public Repeat guests asking us to buy a new couch before their next booking with us (1 month away)

Weird situation unfolding today...
We recently hosted a couple in our upscale penthouse. We took great care in buying high end furniture that was comfortable and stylish, and could handle some wear and tear. We bought a $3600 couch from Moe's furniture, as it fits the space, is my favorite couch to use and it's modular and can be converted into a few different options.
Guest checked out yesterday after a 4 day stay. They seemed pleasant and polite and we had no issues with the guest. They booked another stay with us a month away, during their stay. Yay! They posted a review, so we sent a five star review.
Their rating was 5 stars across the board but they wrote public comments and complaints "we told the host they need to buy a new couch before our next stay". What? Sure enough, they sent a private note as well saying 'buy a new couch."
This couch is under a year old and beautiful and we have multiple reviews and comments specifically mentioning the cozy and comfy couch, and the couch is fabulous and two people could sleep on it if it's pushed together with the Ottoman. This is not an Ikea couch. There is nothing wrong with the couch.
The husband of the guest is 6'6, I mean he is very tall. This is not his fault or ours. Apparently the wife is complaining that it was uncomfortable for him to get off the couch as it's a lower profile. I have 20 pictures showcasing the couch from multiple angles. Its very obvious it's a lower profile style.
We sent her a message asking if she can please remove the review and maybe contact support about relocating to a more suitable location. Free of charge!
No. She wants us to buy them a new couch for their upcoming three day stay.
We are Superhosts, don't want to cancel or get dinged in search results.
Is there any way we can get air bnb to move them to a different location? Can airbnb say it's not possible?
I am very very reluctant to host them as I feel we are being set up for a bad review. We take great pride in our five stars and guest favorite ranking as it's a very competitive market in our area.
What can we actually do without getting dinged or buying a new couch?
Honestly if they demanded a new mattress I would have thought about it haha but this couch is fabulous!
Who demands a couch?

2024.05.20 06:27 No_Purchase9851 My relationship is falling apart ever since my dad died.

My husband and I got married in October after being engaged for several years, we planned the wedding in only a few months after finding out my dad’s health was getting pretty dire. He was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2016, went into remission for about a year, then found out it was back and had progressed to leukemia. We were told in September that he had a year at best with weekly blood/platelet transfusions. So we threw the wedding together because we had been engaged for so long anyways and it was very important to me that my dad be at my wedding. We got married October 22, he decided to discontinue his weekly treatments and transition into hospice care on December 7 and died December 15. It has been about 6 months and neither of us are handling his death very well. My husband and dad were very close, I had an amazing relationship with him, this was a devastating loss for the both of us. Admittedly, we have fought a lot for a very long time. For 3 years we have pretty consistently fought, but since my dad has been gone it is constant. All day every day. I went to my best friends Bachelorette party over the weekend, I had a 13 hour drive home today and we fought from the minute I walked in the door. I’m afraid we’ve reached our braking point and I don’t know what to do. I am in the process of trying to get a new therapist but couples therapy will never be an option for us, so I don’t see how we can move past this and learn to have a conversation without getting so angry at each other. I don’t even know how it happens most of the time, we’ll just be talking and all the sudden we’re arguing. I don’t want to give up on this relationship, he means the world to me and I truly love him regardless of how little we can get along these days. I’m afraid he’s going to leave me soon.

2024.05.20 06:25 Dumpaling_ What should I do ?

What should I do ?
Context/ background: I adopted a dog from a shelter on 2/27, she is a 9 month old pitbull mix. She goes on 1 hour walks in the morning and evening, along with many short walks outside that last about 15-30 minutes every 1-2 hours. Her name is Monday. She is my first dog.
When I first got Monday, she did not know any commands and didn't seem to have any/ much training but was super sweet and energetic when I met her. My boyfriend and I have worked on teaching her commands along with some obedience and have worked on socializing her. However, a couple weeks ago while we were on a walk I asked asked her to leave someone that was on the ground and she started jumping at me, growling, trying to bite, and pulling/ tugging on the leash, after a minute or two she calmed down and the walk continued. Since that event, she has done this a handful of times, to either me, my sister, or my boyfriend. Just today when my boyfriend and I were walking her, I laughed and she ran to me, jumped on me repeatedly trying to bite me and pulling on her leash and growling. I was confused and also kind of scared, I don't understand why she does this, sometimes it occurs after she is given a command other times it comes out of nowhere. My sister stated that while she was at home Monday did the same thing to her out of no where and was genuinely scared. I am worried, confused, and at a loss on what to do; I have started looking for trainers so l can ask for an opinion, is this a behavior issue or something else? What can I do?

2024.05.20 06:25 Excellent-Heron-4930 My ex’s friend rang me

The girl I was with for a couple months, 6 months ago, her friend video called me at like 2am and I have no idea why. I’ve never interacted with this friend, she’s the only friend of my ex’s that I have on social media and she called me. I’m so confused. Was it my ex on her phone? Was it her friend wanting to know what I’m up to on her behalf? I have no idea. Does this mean anything, at all? Or should I just move on and ignore it as if it never happened. Any replies appreciated.

2024.05.20 06:25 TransgenderShae I (17M) (transgender) broke up with my ex (18F) a couple of months ago because I thought I wasn't interested in women and I didn't want to hurt her. Recently, she told me that she wants me to start using He/him and she/her pronouns for her. I realized that I still love her. What should I do?

For context, we dated for about 6 months from May to October. I started feeling like I was only attracted to non-female identifying people, but I didn't tell her because I cared about her too much to hurt her. We decided together to go on a break because we both were kinda avoiding each other. Soon after, we broke up. We are still best friends and she is one of the most important people in my life. About a month after we broke up, she started dating her current boyfriend (18M) (he's a cisgender male.) I was a bit hurt that she moved on so fast after we broke up, especially since we didn't really talk about it after we went on break. They've been dating for about 6 months now. I've been pretty jealous, but I figured that was normal for seeing your ex move on. A couple of days ago, she confided in me about her gender identity because I've been out as a transgender male for 4 years now. She asked me a bunch of questions and then told me that she would like me to try out he/him pronouns with her, as well as they/them, possibly. I was ecstatic for them. This was super exciting news, and I was super proud of them for figuring this out about themselves. However, it made me realize that I am still very into them, and I still love them very much. I'm worried if it makes me a bad person to want them again after they came out. Their boyfriend doesn't know, and he is also super homophobic and transphobic. I'm really just wondering what I should do? Should I tell her? I think she still has feelings for me too, but I don't know how she'll react if I tell her. Please give me advice. Tell me if I should tell her or not. Also, should I try to get back together with her if she's open to it? Please help. Thank you.

2024.05.20 06:24 deepdarksecrets My [F31] long distance partner [M33] of over 2 years got drunk and was terrible to my friends. How do I move past this? Should I?

The background:
This is a long story because there's a lot of important background info that's relevant, but I want to start by saying my partner is a very kind, thoughtful, communicative, intelligent, and passionate man. We are from different countries, with different native languages, and are both currently living in my country (US). We met living in a major city, got very invested in each other very quickly, and after about 3-4 months he dropped a bomb that he'd applied for PhD programs all over the world and gotten into one in Europe. I have a really fantastic job and am pursuing an industry funded PhD in the city we met in, so moving was not an option for me. I had just gotten out of a LDR about a year prior to meeting him, and it really did not work for me because I value physical contact. But I really loved this man, he was so wonderful, treated me like an absolute princess in a way I've never really experienced, and I couldn't bare the thought of ending things, so we tried to make it work.
Fast forward, it's been like 2 more years. He reapplied to schools in the US and left his program in Europe to come back here and be closer to me (the visa issues and cost of the trans Atlantic flight were very difficult to manage). He is still a 2hr plane ride and 3 hour car ride away. This is tough because he doesn't have a car, but we see each other approximately every other month for at least a weekend, and spend summer break in my city.
For a variety of reasons, we are still really struggling. Our communication is off, and we have constant arguments and misunderstandings. I think we often miss each other because things are literally lost in translation (I am taking classes to learn his language, but we still primarily communicate in English). Our lives are now very different - I make a decent amount of money, travel frequently, I have roots in my city, and a good friend group and busy social life. This was how both of our lives were when we met, but he's now making very little money as a student and so he really can't travel even on a budget, a lot of his friendships have fallen off or moved away, and he's living in rural Midwestern US. I care so much but I'm losing track of what we had in common, and it's increasingly difficult for me to just "flip the switch" into relationship mode when he is here.
The conflict:
We had a very healthy but also honest conversation when he arrived for the summer a few weeks ago that neither of us were very happy, our communication is really poor, and decided that we would try to actively improve our relationship this summer and reassess if we wanted to continue in the fall. His program has 4 more years. I live in a big house with several friends because a) the rent in my city is insane for a single person and b) I like the company.
We had a big party yesterday, as we do a few times a year, and my boyfriend had fun all day, but at some point got really drunk and told my roommates' partner that he used to hate her, but he likes her a lot more now. I didn't witness this, and he wouldn't or couldn't tell me what he said, but another roommate approached him to say this really wasn't okay and the person was hurt by his words. He brushed it off saying he didn't mean it. We've talked a lot about how what you mean isn't as important as how it is perceived, and that having a filter is important, and my roommate was echoing these exact things I've said to him (which I have never mentioned to her), so I very much believe it happened. The partner he said this to also lives in our house about 50% of the time. My roommates allow him to live with us rent free over the summers because he has to maintain a residence in the state his uni is in and is pretty much flat broke, but this is really just out of kindness on their part. They could very easily ask for addition rent (our rate was just hiked significantly) and besides that, he's disturbed the peace in my home, which I really do not like.
He then sat down next to me (I was playing video games on the couch with a male friend, who is recently engaged, very kind, and totally platonic) and my boyfriend started muttering under his breath about how I wanted this guy and we were fucking or something. I don't even think my friend understood it was directed at him, but I definitely did. At this point I brought my boyfriend upstairs because I didn't want him to say any more shitty things to my friends. I asked him very calmly what was going on and he could barely make eye contact, would not acknowledge what I was saying, and wouldn't give me any straight answers. He then proceeded to say a bunch of horrible shit about our relationship, how it was already over there was no point trying, I would be happier fucking other people. I cried and hyperventilated all night and sent him to a friend's in the morning. I should mention that I am the child of a really nasty drunk who used to say horrible things and not remember anything in the morning. This experience really really triggered me.
I've had several lesser unpleasant experiences with him while drinking, and one major one where he made a friend's partner cry in front of a huge group of people while drinking at a beer garden. In that situation, what the person was saying was shitty, and it was okay to call her out, but he couldn't exercise the self control to stop himself from hammering her into the ground about it to the point of tears. This woman is now engaged to his best friend and their friendship has never been the same since this happened. For someone who genuinely is a thoughtful and emotionally aware person, I think he really struggles to read the room. He's very proud of his country, generally stubborn, and politically opinionated and this can be really damaging combined with the communication issues I often experience with him. He is fluent in English, but doesn't understand a lot of nuances (how strong the word "hate" is, for example, or when someone is trying to politely change an uncomfortable topic). All of these traits get a lot worse with alcohol and while I don't think he's an addict, I do think he's shown a few times now that he is an angry drunk, which is very scary to me.
In the morning, he was very apologetic and accepted the blame and said he would take steps to fix this problem so he wasn't drunk like this around me again, but I fear he's damaged a relationship with my friends and housemates, and also with me, in a way that's not easily repairable. We were already struggling, and I was very committed to trying to resolve our differences, and work on our relationship, but I am no longer sure it's worth trying. This is something that will take a lot of time for me to get over, and we don't have that much time together, and we also don't have very much space. He is staying with friends for a few days but beyond that if I can't deal with sharing my room he just needs to go back to his state
Am I overreacting to this situation? Would you try and work it out? I recognize that this is a trigger for me, and maybe I could get past it with time. Our relationship was already a little broken, and now feels shattered. I am so sad sitting here without him, but I am so upset I don't know how to move forward. Is it just time to move on from this? I love this guy so much but maybe I am beating a dead horse here.
Tl;Dr Long distance relationship of ~2.5 years between people from very different cultures is constantly encountering obstacles related to communication, despite a lot of very healthy and honest discussions about it. The communication issues overflowed to my friends and roommates during a party, and dealing with my angry drunk boyfriend brought up a lot of trauma from being raised by an angry alcoholic. Unsure if I'm overreacting or if it's just time to cut this off.

2024.05.20 06:23 Its_sven1 Long distance relationship

I apologize in advance for the length of this behemoth Story time Reddit: Last night I was chilling at a camp grounds in upstate NYC and this really cute bartender was on her first day ever for the job, anyways I didn’t even notice her until a community dinner at 6pm when she got some food and went to the bar to get ready for the night because us folks at the camp were gonna party till LATE I’m 18M turning 19 and I had aspirations to be a bartender myself in the familiar country of Mexico where my family operates a gin booze business. she 22F just turned and I was eager to Yk like ask her how her first day on the jobs going right? Now I time goes by we all just chilling having dinner and our rolls out some Gigachad kitchen employees with dessert and everybody fiends the fucking ice cream sandwich bars and I hastily think about the fellow bartenders out the back of the building (it’s the girl I’m taking about whose new and one other girl whom is basically her chaperone because they are her aunt) approach the bar with 2 ice cream sandwiches asking if they wanted the last stock of what remained of dessert 😂 they politely decline and I just give them away to my boys and walk back to the main cafeteria area and around 5 minutes pass people start to clear out and I not really a drinker and not of age to drink in the US (although I have been to other countries to bars that you don’t need to be 21 to drink all fine) Sit down at the bar with the 2 bartender ladies, i start yapping about all the musical bullshit I do in life and the video game I’m developing and whatnot and that’s why I came up to nature to record the ambient sounds for my project idk why BUT then when I realize is that the girl whose new’s eyes fixated on me intensely full German stare and I’m kinda intimidated ngl, so ofc as a good bartender would ask, they ask if I want anything to drink and i politely decline because I wasn’t really thirsty 💀 We start to just chat a bit I ask about how their day went and then that’s when I realize the new girl whose bartending it’s her first day and she’s absolutely drunk out the wazoo, I feel kind of bad because she was about to just go take a walk break and I saw she could barely even move straight 💀 so I ask “so what are some good things to do around here?” They reply really excited that before it gets too dark (somehow they say that and it’s already becoming 8:30 and dark at out) I should go to this really pretty creek waterfall and the absolutely double whammy hammered chick volunteers to take me. Now me skeptical af and realizing that either A, she can’t keep her eyes of me because she’s deadbeat drunk or B, she thinks I’m cute and wants to know me this is why she offered to take me to a cool place. I accept and I have to walk this girl out the bar because she’s in heels and bouncing all over the place. We make it to a downhill section we have to cross and I see her struggling and ask if she needs a hand and she hastily accepts, next thing up her arms are basically spaghetti and rolling with the wind as we make it down this hill her holding onto me for dear life. We start to walk a bit and I start to ask the big legal concern questions that us “technically inclined” men ask like “How old are you” “Do you have a boyfriend?” And “Are you in school?” I eventually get all these answers and we by some will of god walk up to an abandoned dark horror movie looking ass tipi (basically this ⛺️ thing for u non cultured swines) for some reason my hood senses start tingling and the white girl slasher film mindset goes into my mind like “Why the fuck am I about to go in there?” But hey YOLO why not go into creepy dark crowded place with drunk girl? We waltz up into that bitch looking like injured bank robbers clobbering all over the ground because the ground muddy and we can barely fit into the small opening of it, point is in there she starts basically interviewing me fucking speed run piers style and I answer being sober decently competent. Me not trying to make her feel uncomfortable turn my flashlight on to scout the area and we realize there’s some makeshift bench in there so we have a seat. She doesn’t like the fact the lights on and then she asks “do you want to kiss” and proceeds to inform me I’m a weirdo for turning on the light. Now I’m like: “ aight what the fuck girl like it’s dark spooky af out the hell u want me to do get mauled by spiders in this Native American trap house? Then Yk me never had a girlfriend and curious accepts her kiss offer and right as we are about to friggin kiss a RANDOM ASS NPC COUPLE SPAWNS IN AND JUST WALKS UP TO OUR FUCKING TIPI! What are the fucking odds bro, like it’s pitch black basically out and I’m in the middle of the woods, now they see us (we look hella sus at that moment) and kinda just walk away after being like “ooooh cool!” But anyways I get a pretty Alr first kiss, get insulted for being a horrible kisser and walk it off quoting myself “Bro it’s cuz I’m a Libra right?” Jokingly anyways we kinda talk a bit she enlightens me on some personal facts and me too, I ask if she’s had a boyfriend and she says yeah I would had asked how many but didn’t weirdly enough and she’s asked me then if I had ever had a girlfriend and I respond honestly that nope I haven’t and she doesn’t buy it, she thinks I’m lying. She then proceeds to ask me how tall I am and me being a tall ass mf for my race i respond “6 foot 3” and she’s like DAMNNNNNNN ewwww. I’m dying of laughter and ask what’s wrong. I never get a response 😭 Anyways she then decides to empty her pockets and she came for some reason with basically a mythical rarity load out of pocket loot. 2 Cinnamon booze plastic shots, lip gloss, chapstick and a cart. Now me being the worlds biggest glorified coward who never smoked and almost never drinks was amazed she had all this shit on her. I ask her how much she had to drink tonight and she told me how for every drink she served she also drank (idk why tf weird flex but ok?) we then kinda decide to go out of the tent because all of a sudden she wants to explore the pitch black woods when we both have very little phone battery left for flashlight. I think in my sober mind that’s a horrible idea and I remember in the back of my mind we had to be back in an hour from like 8:30pm and I remind her assuming she will have it into account but fail to realize SHES DRUNK AF AND CANT PROCESS SHIT!!! Anyways we walk around the creek bed and eventually we have a seat and just weirdly enough lay down watch the stars and talk about romantic stuff, she is very kind all of a sudden and we are just laughing wholeheartedly and enjoying ourselves and occasionally she tries to sloppily kiss me and I’m kinda just laying there like : 🙃. But yeah we there doing all that and then she somehow convinced me to do shots of the weird spicy booze she brought and I was very nervous and almost about to fully fold because I had a lot of important things in my life impending in the coming days and I didn’t want to fuck something up being drunk (not knowing myself if I’m a lightweight or heavyweight drinker) We each do one and I’m kinda there lying paralyzed and shivering in my boots not because of the alcohol but because of the nerves I am chilling with a girl on a beauty of a night next to some lovely sounding creek noises and making out. Me being the newbie I am just go along with anything she says or does because I’m not trying to blow what I have going Yk. But yeah time passes we just there on essentially natures lawn hugging and kissing and talking about cute life aspirations and then I have to break the hard news to her, I inform her I won’t be staying around long by any means ( I leave the next day back to da hood for school) and I feel so bad inside! Like this girl even age difference aside whatever was very kind and I didn’t want to ruin what we had going so I try and explain how I would try to visit her and later the next day I am able to check that tickets cost roughly $50 for one ways to the town she lives in and takes 2 hours and a half something if me for love I was able to do im down ig… Now as a recap: She knows I live super duper far away, She and I both understand we don’t want to ruin what we have and we are trying to see how we can keep this going. I hear someone scream her voice and then I’m like Awww shit ur in trouble right? I check my phone and it’s MOTHERFUCKING 11PM!!!! I’m like OH SHIT WE BEEN GONE A WHILE DAMNNN, I pull her up off the ground and try to get her to her aunt who I assumed was looking for her and then we sadly said it last farewell quickly. She kisses me and then she gets yoinked and chewed tf outta by basically her big auntie bartender me feeling horrible and all because I was so immature not checking the time, I walk up to her to take responsibility for the situation and not be a beta male type character she asks me all of a sudden if I’m “ok or hurt” and I say yeah I’m fine and then she walks away and for some reason my good manners and habits kick in as I quietly shout “good night” and she shouts back “yeah good fucking night!” Slams the door with my newfound friend and they both gone. I feel real bad for the situation but hey it already happened, and I then find out from some of my fellow campers that she was threatening essentially to call the state police because people have gotten lost in the woods but in my head I’m like NUH UH I GOT S TIER GOD MEMORY!!! Anyways I do have the girl I was withs number I message her apologizing for not being more responsible and whatnot and then a lot of time happens from there on. I go to bed at 1:30am, wake up the next morning at 6:57am and I’m worried because she hasn’t responded. I paranoid and feeling like a hopeless romantic sit around stressing for hours until BOOM I get off a call checking up with my moms who was out of town get a message from my dear bartender girl! I’m beyond ecstatic and try to see if we can say goodbye because I have to go so soon that same day (today as I’m writing this) we try to compromise and plan but sadly it doesn’t work out for us and we just don’t get a well deserved farewell. I feel truly defeated and depressed about it and people I’m with are speculating how I have barely eaten in all the hours I have been up today. I reply it’s that m stresses but don’t go into detail trying to avoid ancontroversial discussion. This girls name is Sofia and I as I hope a constituted decent person hope I can keep this relationship but there are a few obstacles. 1, she lives 2 hours best case scenario from me. 2, she doesn’t really answer my messages until very late after I send them (for example i message her 12:30 she responds then doesn’t respond until past 5pm same day) and It’s hard to have a relationship with flawed communication I can see. Now for me I have always wanted to find love but never really succeeded in it and I’m truly just grateful for having any experience like this at all and I want to hear feedback from fellow guys and girl as to what I should do to keep this a respectful and responsible relationship you know?
Sincerely and looking forward to feedback, K

2024.05.20 06:22 PinkBlackMushrooms Urgent. This message may self destruct in an hour.

So I'm waiting for my connecting flight back home from a trip with my boyfriend. It departs soon. We got a somewhat heated discussion about 6hrs before our departure and he stormed off from the hotel room leaving me behind. (His default when we argue is to give me the silent treatment and he's known for being quiet in general in family and with his friends. His dad even told me about it. I've only been with him for 5 months.) Anyway I saw him at the airport and we didn't talk at all. We had to sit next to each other on the plane and we didn't say one word to each other. We're now at our connecting airport and not talking at all. His mom is supposed to pick us both up at the airport at 6am. I live close to him and her downtown so it's super convenient. It's going to be super awkward if I don't talk to them upon arrival at our destination. I literally just met her for the first time the day before she drove us to the airport last week! What should I do if he isn't talking to me? She's going to wonder.

2024.05.20 06:21 Brave_Elderberry_855 Im running out of options, someone please help a girl out!

My roommate and I have lived together for 3 years now. I have always given her my half of out rent and bill money. She's been going through a hard time recently. As a result of that she has not been paying for anything for 6 months, even though I've been giving her money the whole time. So my landlord evicted her out and is giving me a chance to pay off the back rent. (half of which I paid for once already, or thought I did anyways) Now my power is off and my landlord is telling me if I don't have it back on by the 21st she has no choice but to evict me too. It's not legal to live in a rented place with no power on I guess. If anyone willing to help, I will be more than grateful. Oh and after my landlord kicked my former roommate out, she took off and nobody has heard from her in almost 3 weeks. I'm very hurt and angry, but I hope she's okay wherever she is. My Cashapp is $atay1587 my Paypal is gelerr my Chime is $gelerr1587 Please and thank you so much, any bit helps. I've been homeless my whole life i finally thought things were changing for the good for once, fuck was I wrong!

2024.05.20 06:21 Artistic_Pin231 Should I continue to interview, or quit and pivot?

Hey guys. Alright, let’s be real here. We all know the job market has been brutal. I’m going on 18 months though….. that’s a long ass time. I have 6+ years experience as a visual and product designer in B2B and consumer in big tech (Google, Meta, etc mostly contracting) and agency world.
2023: 5 full rounds, top candidate with no offerole was closed. In 2024, I had a higher wave of interviews March-May, but they all ghosted. I’ve had some more “promising” chats this week but I’m expecting them to ghost as well.
Should I continue my search, or halt my UX career path and pivot into design (interior) sales/ or sales in something else/bartending? I need some serious career advice here.
One last effort idea I had in mind was to come up with cool concept, or animations for a company to get the convo going… would that help get my foot in the door? Could anyone share their experience of searching for 1+ years and landing something? I’m curious to hear what your journey was like (ie. How much of a “fit” you were, what the competition was like for the role, & how challenging the interview process was). Thanks!

2024.05.20 06:20 PhilosopherMoist7737 New to Compounding / Questions

Like many, I've been on MJ now for 6 months. Doing well. No negative side effects. Down 37 pounds. I'm due to move up to 10mg when I finish my last box of 7.5 in four weeks. Problem: 10mg is nowhere to be found, and I'm very concerned supply won't be any better in 4 weeks. So, my questions (I am in FL and pay OOP with savings card). Can my endo (who prescribes me MJ off label) write an Rx for compound tirz and send it into Hallendale? Or do I need to use an online provider and pay fees? Does Hallendale send needles when it fills the tirz Rx or do those have to be acquired elsewhere? How many doses per vial does one get for 10mg? I think that sums up the big questions. Any input is appreciated. I never though I'd go this route, but it's pretty clear, Lilly can't keep up.

I’ll start off by saying I don’t know if im insecure because my ex used to cheat on me. but I feel see like my current boyfriend isn’t treating me right. (We’ve been dating for 11 months now) when we first started dating I had a look on his phone and he messaged other girls to have sexual interactions with while me and him were seeing eachother. then it went to some girl at the gym he knew he had matched with on tinder (she was hot he says) he looked her up on instagram chat to see if they had spoke on instagram? then his ex messaging him and he was entertaining it and deleted the messages. then he went to Bali for a boys trip. apparently some girl was trying to crack onto him and his friends had to remind him he had a partner. And last but not least. he told me he didn’t want to watch porn anymore because he felt guilty (I never told him to stop he said it) so I took his word, only to find out he still did it. He’s now stopped but he still looking at sexual girls on reddit, twitter and onlyfans. Because he’s “curious” I’ve tried to bring all of this up and he gets defensive and angry or flips it onto me. It makes me feel very poorly about myself especially when me and him have sex quite literally everyday. but he still needs to look at others. if we go out in public he always has a look at other girls. when he kept stuffing up I know I shouldn’t of but I stood on his level and would like guys photos so now he always flips that onto me. im 21. he’s 25. I’ve tried my hardest to make this relationship work but im the one that always feels like I can’t talk to him about this because he gets so angry and has tried to break up with me twice because of me sharing my emotions and I get angry and upset because he can’t seem to understand how this effects me. am I too sensitive? we are building a house together and when we’re good we are great! it’s ever since he’s moved into my family house the bad has happened. 2024.05.20 06:20 Roachpuppies I (29f) am feeling too emotionally attached to my bf (32m) what do I do ?

So recently I’ve started to realize that I’m very emotionally attached to my bf. For some background we’ve been together for a little over five months now and get along really well. He’s a great partner and I see a great future with him if life continues this way for us.
That being said, I suffer from severe abandonment issues especially after my last relationship ended the way that it did. (She left after four years one night and I didn’t see or hear from her again for a month and a half) though that isn’t the only reason for my abandonment issues. I probably wasn’t ready for a relationship but I met my boyfriend very suddenly and it was unexpected and we are taking things slowly but the connection was too great to deny. He is aware of my issues with abandonment and anxiety. I am currently in therapy and am working a lot on these issues. But I am finding myself feeling very clingy and like my emotions are controlled by how my bf is feeling/acting. He’s never rude or mean, but sometimes after a rough day or week he’s less talkative and a little grump. As expected. And I know that we are fine. But my brain nags me and convinces me that he’s leaving and he doesn’t like me anymore. And I completely spiral. Sometimes I ask for reassurance but these issues are not his to deal with and generally he’s already stressed enough about what he’s dealing with in these moments. I don’t know what to do. A few nights ago things kind of blew up when I didn’t get the reassurance I wanted and I flew off the handle and blew up his phone with what ifs and anxiety inducing texts. I haven’t even reread them. I don’t want to keep doing this. It’ll ruin the relationship for sure. What do I do ?
Please be nice

🔗50's Inspired Retro Record Player with Bluetooth and CD Player in Turquoise

I recently brought home the Trexonic Retro Wireless Bluetooth Record and CD Player in Turquoise, and it's been a real nostalgic trip. To be honest, I was initially drawn to its sleek and retro design. Little did I know that it would turn out to be a music treasure trove.
Its three-speed record player with the capability to play all my vinyl records and albums certainly took me back to the good old days. Plus, the built-in Bluetooth and wireless streaming made it easy for me to enjoy my modern music seamlessly. A unique highlight is its ability to record from vinyl to MP3 via USB - a feature that I personally haven't tried out yet, but it's nice to have.
The sound quality is commendable, and even the volume control is well-balanced. Setting it up was a breeze, and even my kids loved it! The CD player and the SD/USB input enhance the music experience even more.
One minor drawback, though, is the lack of an integrated power button. It might take a little getting used to, but it's definitely not a deal-breaker. All in all, the Trexonic Retro Wireless Bluetooth Record and CD Player is a fantastic addition to my home, bringing together the charm of the past with the convenience of the present.

🔗Crosley Medley Retro All-in-One Entertainment Center

https://preview.redd.it/fbpsr4deci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66066df10c3b90388c63e7c6ad4abcf759c6851e
I recently stumbled upon the Crosley Medley Entertainment Center in Gray, and it's safe to say my music collection has never been more accessible. This retro-styled marvel boasts a 6-in-1 system that plays vinyl records, cassette tapes, CDs, and even has a built-in Bluetooth receiver. Its versatility is particularly handy, allowing me to enjoy anything from oldies to digital playlists without missing a beat.
The nostalgic touch of the wood cabinet and fabric-covered grills adds significantly to the overall aesthetic appeal of this entertainment center. It's not just about looks, though: the sound quality is decent, especially considering the price point. The cueing lever gives precision control over the vinyl playing, but be careful as some reviewers mentioned that Crosley turntables might not be the highest quality and could harm your vinyl if you're not gentle with them.
This device is a bit bulkier than some other options, but bear in mind it houses so many functions. The built-in stereo speakers are adequate, but not top-notch, another point for consideration.
One standout feature for me was the ease of use. From connecting my phone with Bluetooth to playing old vinyls, everything was a breeze. I didn't encounter any major issues and can confidently say it's worth every penny.
The negative points are few, but they do deserve a mention. There have been reports about potential damage to your vinyls due to the quality of the turntable, so exercise caution. Also, the size might be an issue for those with limited space.
In conclusion, if you're a music aficionado with a soft spot for retro aesthetics, the Crosley Medley Entertainment Center is a brilliant choice. It combines old-school charm with modern-day convenience, offering an enjoyable listening experience. While it may not be perfect, its flaws are outweighed by its flexibility and overall satisfying performance.

🔗Magnavox 3-Piece Compact CD Shelf System with Bluetooth

I was in the market for a compact music system that would fit seamlessly into my small apartment. I decided to give Magnavox MM435-WH a shot and boy, am I glad I did! This 3-piece system with Bluetooth and remote control in white features an LCD display that makes reading what's on display effortless and enjoyable.
One of the standout features of this product is its balanced sound quality, making it perfect for listening to music, audio books, or your favorite podcasts. It's perfect for use in various settings like offices, bedrooms, living areas, or kitchens. Additionally, Magnavox includes a remote control (with a CR2025 battery) with the purchase of this system, adding another layer of convenience.
However, there are a few cons to note. Some users have reported issues with the remote's volume control, while others have mentioned the system's inability to handle more demanding music styles.
Overall, the Magnavox MM435-WH offers a good balance between size and sound quality. Its compact design and various features make it an attractive option for those looking to incorporate a music system into their living space without sacrificing valuable real estate.

🔗Bluetooth Vinyl Turntable and CD Player

https://preview.redd.it/w8zqutdfci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48ccfb99e9d5346bc41e9b46fd335be2b19004b2
I have had the pleasure of using the Trexonic 3-Speed Vinyl Turntable Home Stereo System for a few months now, and I must say it's a great addition to my entertainment center. Not only does it look sleek and stylish, but it also packs a punch in terms of features and performance.
One of the aspects I appreciated most about this system was its versatility. Whether you're into vinyl records, CDs, digital music files, or even radio, this turntable has you covered. The sound quality is impressive without breaking the bank, making it an excellent option for audiophiles on a budget.
The Trexonic turntable comes with two wired shelf speakers that are easy to connect and deliver rich, balanced audio. The Bluetooth connectivity is smooth, allowing me to play tunes wirelessly from my phone when needed. The only downside I encountered was the lack of fine-tuning controls for the EQ, but again, considering the price point, it's not a deal-breaker.
As for ease of setup, it was a breeze. In no time at all, I had everything plugged in and ready to go. One of my favorite features is the ability to convert music from vinyl directly into MP3 format, which allows me to enjoy my old vinyl collection on the go.
Now, as with any product, there are a few cons to consider. Some users have reported issues with sound quality when playing larger vinyl records, while others have encountered problems with the turn table's needle. However, I personally have not experienced any major difficulties during my time with this turntable.
To sum up, the Trexonic 3-Speed Vinyl Turntable Home Stereo System offers a great value for those seeking a versatile and stylish home audio solution. While there may be some minor drawbacks, the overall experience has been enjoyable, and I would recommend it to others looking for a quality stereo system in a compact package.

🔗Jensen CD-565 Bluetooth CD Music System

https://preview.redd.it/hht7ftwfci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=759a0437b4621b597bb19ca999bc30d74f3dbec0
After using the Jensen CD-565 Portable Bluetooth CD Music System for a couple of weeks, I must say that it has truly enhanced my music experience. It's amazing how it manages to blend nostalgia with modern tech, making it a perfect companion for parties and gatherings. The vertical loading CD player is not only space-efficient but also a conversation starter, bringing back memories of the good old days.
One of the most notable features of the CD-565 is its versatility. I've been able to connect all sorts of devices - my iPhone, my old CD collection, and even my kid's iPod. The Bluetooth connectivity is smooth and reliable, letting me stream music without any interruptions from up to 33 feet away. Plus, with the auxiliary input jack, I can plug in any device that doesn't have Bluetooth.
However, there are some minor things that could be improved. The sound quality is decent, but not outstanding. And while the built-in carrying handle makes it easy to move around, the system itself is quite bulky. Despite these cons, the Jensen CD-565 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a portable and feature-rich CD player with Bluetooth capabilities.

As a first-time user of the Soundstream VRN-DD7HB DVD/CD Player, I was thrilled to explore its versatile features. The dual touch screen and GPS made it incredibly easy to navigate through my music collection and locate nearby attractions.
I particularly appreciated the Bluetooth connectivity, which allowed me to stream my favorite playlists seamlessly. However, I encountered occasional hiccups during setup and the touch screen sensitivity sometimes left something to be desired. Overall, a solid device with room for improvement.
