You who feel threatened by this changing world, its twists of fortune and its bitter jests, its brief relationships and all the “gifts” it merely lends to take away again; attend this lesson well. The world provides no safety. It is rooted in attack, and all its “gifts” of seeming safety are illusory deceptions. It attacks, and then attacks again. No peace of mind is possible where danger threatens thus. The world gives rise but to defensiveness. For threat brings anger, anger makes attack seem reasonable, honestly provoked, and righteous in the name of self-defense. Yet is defensiveness a double threat. For it attests to weakness, and sets up a system of defense that cannot work. Now are the weak still further undermined, for there is treachery without and still a greater treachery within. The mind is now confused, and knows not where to turn to find escape from its imaginings.
It is as if a circle held it fast, wherein another circle bound it and another one in that, until escape no longer can be hoped for nor obtained. Attack, defense; defense, attack, become the circles of the hours and the days that bind the mind in heavy bands of steel with iron overlaid, returning but to start again. There seems to be no break nor ending in the ever-tightening grip of the imprisonment upon the mind.
Defenses are the costliest of all the prices which the ego would exact. In them lies madness in a form so grim that hope of sanity seems but to be an idle dream, beyond the possible. The sense of threat the world encourages is so much deeper, and so far beyond the frenzy and intensity of which you can conceive, that you have no idea of all the devastation it has wrought.
You are its slave. You know not what you do, in fear of it. You do not understand how much you have been made to sacrifice, who feel its iron grip upon your heart. You do not realize what you have done to sabotage the holy peace of God by your defensiveness. For you behold the Son of God as but a victim to attack by fantasies, by dreams, and by illusions he has made; yet helpless in their presence, needful only of defense by still more fantasies, and dreams by which illusions of his safety comfort him.
Defenselessness is strength. It testifies to recognition of the Christ in you. Perhaps you will recall the text maintains that choice is always made between Christ’s strength and your own weakness, seen apart from Him. Defenselessness can never be attacked, because it recognizes strength so great attack is folly, or a silly game a tired child might play, when he becomes too sleepy to remember what he wants.
Defensiveness is weakness. It proclaims you have denied the Christ and come to fear His Father’s anger. What can save you now from your delusion of an angry god, whose fearful image you believe you see at work in all the evils of the world? What but illusions could defend you now, when it is but illusions that you fight?
We will not play such childish games today. For our true purpose is to save the world, and we would not exchange for foolishness the endless joy our function offers us. We would not let our happiness slip by because a fragment of a senseless dream happened to cross our minds, and we mistook the figures in it for the Son of God; its tiny instant for eternity.
We look past dreams today, and recognize that we need no defense because we are created unassailable, without all thought or wish or dream in which attack has any meaning. Now we cannot fear, for we have left all fearful thoughts behind. And in defenselessness we stand secure, serenely certain of our safety now, sure of salvation; sure we will fulfill our chosen purpose, as our ministry extends its holy blessing through the world.
Be still a moment, and in silence think how holy is your purpose, how secure you rest, untouchable within its light. God’s ministers have chosen that the truth be with them. Who is holier than they? Who could be surer that his happiness is fully guaranteed? And who could be more mightily protected? What defense could possibly be needed by the ones who are among the chosen ones of God, by His election and their own as well?
It is the function of God’s ministers to help their brothers choose as they have done. God has elected all, but few have come to realize His Will is but their own. And while you fail to teach what you have learned, salvation waits and darkness holds the world in grim imprisonment. Nor will you learn that light has come to you, and your escape has been accomplished. For you will not see the light, until you offer it to all your brothers. As they take it from your hands, so will you recognize it as your own.
Salvation can be thought of as a game that happy children play. It was designed by One Who loves His children, and Who would replace their fearful toys with joyous games, which teach them that the game of fear is gone. His game instructs in happiness because there is no loser. Everyone who plays must win, and in his winning is the gain to everyone ensured. The game of fear is gladly laid aside, when children come to see the benefits salvation brings.
You who have played that you are lost to hope, abandoned by your Father, left alone in terror in a fearful world made mad by sin and guilt; be happy now. That game is over. Now a quiet time has come, in which we put away the toys of guilt, and lock our quaint and childish thoughts of sin forever from the pure and holy minds of Heaven’s children and the Son of God.
We pause but for a moment more, to play our final, happy game upon this earth. And then we go to take our rightful place where truth abides and games are meaningless. So is the story ended. Today we practice in a form we will maintain for quite a while. We will begin each day by giving our attention to the daily thought as long as possible. Five minutes now becomes the least we give to preparation for a day in which salvation is the only goal we have. Ten would be better; fifteen better still. And as distraction ceases to arise to turn us from our purpose, we will find that half an hour is too short a time to spend with God. Nor will we willingly give less at night, in gratitude and joy.
Each hour adds to our increasing peace, as we remember to be faithful to the Will we share with God. At times, perhaps, a minute, even less, will be the most that we can offer as the hour strikes. Sometimes we will forget. At other times the business of the world will close on us, and we will be unable to withdraw a little while, and turn our thoughts to God.
Yet when we can, we will observe our trust as ministers of God, in hourly remembrance of our mission and His Love. And we will quietly sit by and wait on Him and listen to His Voice, and learn what He would have us do the hour that is yet to come; while thanking Him for all the gifts He gave us in the one gone by.
In time, with practice, you will never cease to think of Him, and hear His loving Voice guiding your footsteps into quiet ways, where you will walk in true defenselessness. For you will know that Heaven goes with you. Nor would you keep your mind away from Him a moment, even though your time is spent in offering salvation to the world. Think you He will not make this possible, for you who chose to carry out His plan for the salvation of the world and yours?

Hi! So I’m going to try keep this short but I’m in a major dilemma and don’t want to make stupid irrational decisions.
My partner (M23) and I (F20) have been dating for one year now ( I made a mistake in the title for his age )
I know deep down if my trust for my partner is not there I should leave him. i also have issues with trust due to trauma so I don’t know if it’s necessarily his fault.
to summarise, my partner and I broke up last week twice. His decision, not mine. The second time he broke up with me, he turned his phone off and I later found out he left the house.
He admitted to me he went to a coworker’s house overnight. He said that they didn’t sleep, they drank alcohol and watched movies. He said she made a move on him ( tried to kiss him) but he lightly rejected it and said it was too soon for him due to our breakup.
To the present, the next day he came to my house and begged and I mean BEGGED for me back. I have given him another chance, he blocked her number and she was quite upset by it. She contacted him through his workplace chat app and called him. Apparently she even asked him to break up with me?
Now I’m really confused, I feel like there’s a lot to the nature of their relationship and what happened that has been left out. She is obviously feeling hurt by what he did. I am too but unfortunately we were broken for that night and it’s my choice to stay so I can’t be too scolded over it.
Although I’m question his authenticity of his version of what happened. I’m considering reaching out to the girl, very gently and politely to ask to chat just so I can get some answers. Obviously if he’s lying I wouldn’t stay with him, but if he wasn’t lying I could really damage what we have. Although I’m not sure if I can move past this because there’s something I can’t quite shake about the situation. She’s his supervisor, and I’m worried he could get into trouble for me reaching out. Although it would only be on instagram and like I said before, very politely and not with any anger. As I have none for the girl.

Warframe is over 11 years old at this point and over its course many things have been altered and remade to accommodate the changes in the movement system, as well as the engine and lighting improvements. A lot of the game's history however is scarcely documented, right now you can of course find screenshots and videos of what the game used to look like, from tilesets to combat, but there aren't many attempts at archiving these aspects, particularly the retired map tilesets.
I just thought it would be nice if we could eventually add the now forgotten old map designs into an in-game archive, perhaps the Leverian, explorable in a free form or dojo-room design, that could even be accompanied by dev commentary on the development of the game and the design process and ideas behind these maps (for example have an interactive prompt in certain areas that would start the audio regarding that tileset).
Over time more of the old maps will change and I find it a shame that we lack documentation of these things that albeit old, narrate the design process and evolution of the game through the years. There are even in-game tilesets currently present in the game that due to their spawning rarity that players have never seen them, I can recall a Uranus underwater map section I saw a few months ago and it was my first encounter with it in over 6-7 years of playtime.
I do understand that suggestions like this take development time and effort away from other things your team may be focusing on. I just hope that eventually something of the sort would make an appearance in some official capacity, be it in video form, in-game form or something else.

I already know their general definitions. It is clear to me. But my problem is when to apply them to exercise problems as they are not explicitly stated. It would help quite a lot when writing out the power balance equation. Or the mass balance. But specifically the power balance equation. In Fluid Mechanics, the steadiness of a system will be explicitly stated. Here is what I have obtained so far:
Consider the 2nd statement where closed systems / processes are always unsteady. Here is an exercise example: Exercise Example And here is the FULL solution for a) and the first part of the solution b), in handwritten form: FULL solution to a) FIRST PART of solution to b) You can see that in part b), I have taken (this is just me copying the solution down) the power balance of the whole cyclic system. We can make two assumptions from this, WHICH ARE PROVEN IN THE LECTURE INDICATED BY A SCREEN SHOT OF A LECTURE SLIDE ON THE TOP RIGHT:
Now remember the statements of my Tutor? "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady". If we look at [ FIRST PART of solution to b) ] we should not have d E_sys / dt = 0 , as by the logic and statement it is UNSTEADY. But the solutions show it is steady by writing d E_sys / dt = 0 ! This is quite the confusion. BUT! I realized later that the reason for the " d E_sys / dt = 0 " is because of the cyclic process, where a change in internal energy is zero anyways. However, let me apply the statement of "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady" further to a continuation of the solution to part b). In this figure, you will see a continuation of [ FIRST PART of solution to b) ] which is MY WORKING based on the statement "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady". CONTINUATION of FRIST PART of solution to b) Here, I looked at process 4 1 which is an isobaric expansion, with heat transfer into the system. PB stands for power balance. I assumed no work was done on the system as it was not explicitly stated in the tasks (another question of mine, how can we assume presence of work? Because all compression and expansion are technically work on the system or to the environment right?). You can see that my power balance does not equal to zero, but some delta U - a change in internal energy because I followed the statement of the tutor "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady". Note, the cancellation in orange of the kinetic and potential energy are allowed as even the lectuerer said we can neglect them if not further stated in the exercise at all. Now here is the official solution: Official solution of process 41 You can see the difference (they are in specific quantities, i.e. property per kg):
Let me show you the exercise on which the tutor had stated the statement "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady": Task 5.1: Otto Engine Copied solution from the Tutor's transcript of solutions You can see that in the figure [ Copied solution from the Tutor's transcript of solutions ], which is HIS solution in my handwriting, I wrote in red "closed system implied always unsteady". This was something I wrote down as a note for future reference. He did NOT write this down but he EXPLICITLY SAID this and can be proven through his recordings during the tutorial. Notice how in the task there is not really an explicit statement about the system being steady or unsteady. Now you know where I got the statement "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady" from which has cause this completely long confusion of mine of how to differentiate between steady and unsteady systems / processes. So naturally, from his other statement "Assume steady when not stated otherwise", you would put ΔU or ΔE to equal zero or d E_sys / dt = 0. But he did NOT and said that a closed process is always unsteady. The other exercises (as the one I had shown above) had proved no use of the statement "Closed systems / processes are always unsteady" but rather "Assume steady when not stated otherwise". I hope someone could clarify this for me and explain when I can apply the assumption of steady and unsteady system to ease my work with the power balance equation. Are there specific key words to look out for that imply steady and unsteadiness? Or do we have to know which devices or models and which part of their respective processes are steady / unsteady? Due to my environment, I became a high achiever, seeking results in anything that I do: career, hobbies, relationships, etc. I did take pride in my girlfriend’s appearance, this being one of the reason why I put up with all of her issues for a long time.
Here’s the catch: we broke up after a big fight, I decided I no longer want to be a part of this living nightmare, she tried to fix things and come back to me but eventually she agreed to that we had our time together and the relationship has been consumed.
Now, every aspect of my life has been improved after breaking up: I got new jobs, earn more money, started doing hobbies that I kind of delayed starting last year, met new people, I became more confident in social contexts and generally speaking I started taking even more care of myself (food, sleep and all that). I started going out with girls, had sex with some of them, nothing crazy as I feel the need to spend some time with myself and not get involved into a relationship. That being said, I’m obviously far better than I was with her.
On her end of the spectrum, she started dating someone 3 weeks after we broke up and now they’ve been together since. I asked her about it and she was hesitant saying that they’re not dating.
Why? Why am I feeling bad for the fact that she got in a new relationship whilst me I’m having trouble wanting to get into one and finding someone that I feel like it’s worth my time. Is it because I’m lowkey jealous of her moving on so swiftly or is it because I feel like a fool? She told me that she never loved anyone like she loved me and that she’ll always love. I’m starting to feel like she was straight up lying.
On a different conversation post breakup, she told me that this guy is the total opposite of me and she wants to feel like I felt in the relationship. She told me that I was too good for her.

It was rainy and wet and my house is set back from a main street down a dodgy little lane way with barely any light (one of the reasons I go out to the street to accept a delivery - as a courtesy to save them the trouble from trying to find my front door, but also I feel safer transacting on the street rather than at my door) - I hadn’t bothered to look at the delivery persons details until the very last moment and it was such a pleasant surprise to see it was a woman delivering. I just instantly felt safer and less of a need to be wary.
Similarly, an Uber I took the other day was a female driver and I just was like “…. Phew” without even really actively thinking about it.
It got me thinking how much men will never fully be able to empathise the “soft” state of fear that we, as women, are in almost all the time. And I say that as a woman who is lucky enough to have a brilliant and kind male partner, a dad who is my best friend and greatest champion and brothers who are the best also. I’ve never been seriously sexually assaulted, beyond being randomly groped in nightclubs and having one or two “blurred consent” interactions when I was younger (gosh how crazy and perverse is it to deem it “lucky” that I’ve never been “seriously assaulted” … sigh).

It got me thinking how much men will never fully be able to empathise the “soft” state of fear that we, as women, are in almost all the time. And I say that as a woman who is lucky enough to have a brilliant and kind male partner, a dad who is my best friend and greatest champion and brothers who are the best also. I’ve never been seriously sexually assaulted, beyond being randomly groped in nightclubs and having one or two “blurred consent” interactions when I was younger (gosh how crazy and perverse is it to deem it “lucky” that I’ve never been “seriously assaulted” … sigh).

Now, for some information about the campaign
Requirement Time zone MUST be within 2 hours of CET.
The DM
At this point I'm getting more experienced but DMing sure is a "job" you never stop learning. Most players were pretty happy. I try to focus on everyone having a good time even if it's not always easy. I'm more laid back, but try to keep a good balance between fun and actual meaningful roleplay. I'm happy to engage with players, especially as I get to know them, and don't have any issue with bending the rules a bit for some cool stuff to happen, if I trust you. I just like to have a good environment with people I think work well together.
I'm happy to help players who are newer, and we are inclusive and basically anyone can apply, the only real rules about it being 18+ and timezones.
Communication
A key for me in a campaign is that everyone knows to give and receive feedback. If you have a problem with the vibes or with aspects of the campaign, it is important you say so. It's not good if I need to chase information, as I can only improve what I really know about.
The goal is to build a long term party that may be around for more than one campaign, as such it's important everyone gets along. I am very patient and try to talk things over whenever possible. Nobody (Including me) is perfect, but that's okay. I am happy to discuss things, I just expect my role as DM to be respected to avoid pointless conflict that disrupts sessions.
The Campaign
Alright, now for the meat of the entire post that most of you surely have been waiting for. It's relatively classic D&D it's close to heroic fantasy. We adventure, do quests, slay lots of beasts and also try to bring in some in world political intrigue, a lot of the world and happenings is built with the player characters stories in mind while giving about as much freedom as you can give the party, while at least trying to prevent them from aimlessly walking about. I make a lot of the creatures you see up, but I also use a lot of D&D's classic monstrosities. We've been trying to have more RP as such it's not a fully combat heavy deal, of course, there is still plenty of combat to be had, but we've also had sessions go by without any real fights at all. A lot of how things go is based on the choices of the party and their decisions over the story.
We do have a bunch of freestyle systems the players have loved to engage with, such as crafting your own magic items, character specific boons to power up without items and tons more! Also! Joining this means you're set for a while, when this campaign ends most likely it'll go right into a new one in the same world. So, a commitment, but one that may be worth it!
Atmosphere
It's usually rather light hearted, even when heavy topics come along we try to keep to not let things get too out of hand with the heavy stuff. Still, there might be some darker topics, as there sometimes is in D&D where cults and murder is commonplace. It's not all happy and silly dragon slaying in my campaign (at least this time around, I've had some pure heroic fantasy in my first campaign). So expect a lot of classic stuff, but some cosmic horror and the occasional twisted fantasies to mix things up!

We'd love a player who is committing to a campaign with a long-form narrative, while we have lots of combat, normal questing and all that, we are doing our best to make everything meaningful and to have interpersonal RP and to build natural dynamics.
It's also a big plus if you try to make characters with strong ideals and are happy to challenge yourself, while classic chaotic do whatever feels right is fun, the most memorable moments have always seemed to come when your character has a clear moral compass and distinctions from the player.
And lastly and arguably the thing that's the biggest boon, positivity and moxy. We have timid players, so someone who's a bigger force of character would make a great contrast.

Hey everyone, I have a 5.5 year old with suspected MG. Symptoms are:
-Trouble speaking clearly, especially at night -Trouble chewing and swallowing to the point that he can only have soft foods -Ptosis in one or both eyes at a time (child sometimes looks ‘tired’ or ‘sleepy’ -Muscle weakness and fatigue. Appears to be clumsy, falling down while playing, groaning when he has to go up stairs, get out of bed etc
Quick background- -In late 2022/2023 the first symptoms (same as above) appeared after an unknown viral infection. After multiple doctors, ENT’s, ER’s- and “we don’t know’s”, he was diagnosed with ‘Bells Palsy’ and given Prednisone. Condition improved after several grueling weeks.
-Happened again in March 2023. Did not go to ER this time, asked his new PCP for prednisone which he gave & again- condition improved after several long weeks (late March to about May)
-FF to 5/17 of this year- started showing symptoms again after a really long cold. PCP is stumped and refused steroids. Gave referral for neuro but refused referal for rheumatologist. (We will be switching Pediatricians ASAP, I know)
Went to 2 ER’s including one in a childrens hospital. Bloodwork and MRI came out clean. Doctors shrugged and said they don’t see anything wrong and we only notice because we are his parents. Frustrating. Follow up neuro appt is AUGUST 28TH.
It has been about 3 weeks now and although symptoms are slightly improving, the ‘sleepy’ look, trouble swallowing, and muscle weakness is still there. Mornings/ early afternoon is not too bad and he can do light activities but at night he’s borderline incoherent with his speech.
My questions are-
-What steps would you take to get a diagnosis? -Can he test positive for MG even if his symptoms aren’t present at the time of his neuro appointment in August? -Would prednisone be useful again at this point during this ‘flare’? (going on 3 weeks as mentioned above) -If prednisone will help, what are his chances of getting it prescribed in the urgent care?
Please help. Any thoughts/feedback are greatly appreciated. We are at a loss here and extremely worried while we start our fight to get answers. 🙏🏼

Hi, I built my first PC and it ran first time with no issues, all was good until I enabled XMP to get the full 6000 MHz my RAM supports.
Now when I start or restart my PC, it all lights up, but it takes about over a minute to actually boot up. During this minute a LED on my motherboard that indicates RAM not detected or failed comes on, then goes off a minute or 2 later and the system boots up.
I don't believe this is normal, any advice?
RAM: 2x16 DDR5 MB: B650 Tomahawk - Updated BIOS to latest version.

It's strange. My life, by most metrics, has been going pretty well. My parents love me and tell me how proud they are of me, my siblings look up to me, my friends tell me they appreciate me. I do well in school despite heavy course loads and my teachers and professors like me a lot. I have a couple jobs on campus that are okay and mean I'm not too strapped for cash (if we ignore the student debt). I have a beautiful and loving partner who I want to propose to during the total solar eclipse in 2028. And despite it all, I want to die. There's no hope. There may be happiness in my life but I'm always the same sick, broken individual underneath and I always, always revert back to that person. I will never succeed as an adult but I also recognize that no amount of success will ever be enough. I always want what I haven't got.

I would break my baby sister's heart but I want to do it anyway because I'm sick and selfish and I hate living. I'm terrified of failure so I'd rather give up before I fail to amount to anything. I'm not built to be a functional adult. I'm selfish and cold, antisocial, inflexible and unreliable, and I have no control over my emotions. I lash out at people who don't deserve it and pick fights when there's nothing wrong. I will hurt my partner emotionally and I'm scared I'll hurt them physically, too, because I get so angry so quickly for no reason. I will ruin everything that is good in my life if I continue to live.
I think the first time I thought "I want to die" instead of "I wish I hadn't been born" was in middle school, and it's stuck with me through high school and now university. But in the last three years the thoughts have been getting significantly worse. I've been having vibrant fantasies about dying and killing myself. Planning letters in detail. Earlier this year I had such a vivid imagining about slitting my wrists that it made me nauseous. I've been hurting myself more frequently and the intensity has been getting worse too. My self-esteem is abysmally low and I despise myself more and more every day.
I cannot get better. There is no light at the end of the tunnel, there is no long and hard but rewarding path to happiness. I am fully aware of the good things in my life, I can perceive when I've had a success or when somebody cares about me, and yet I have a bone-deep assuredness that I am destined for failure and loneliness. I know that the sickness is lying to me when it says that I'm unloved, that there's no hope, that I should die, but I listen to it all the same. If I truly wanted to get better I would do something about it- think more positively, go to therapy, go to a doctor, treat my body and mind with kindness- but I don't do any of that, and I haven't for years and years and years. I'm incapable of changing because I don't truly want to. I'm too scared of admitting these thoughts to anyone, of getting in trouble (to be honest I don't know what kind of trouble, it's just a gut feeling), of all this pain being for nothing. It's totally, utterly hopeless. I wonder what will finally push me over the edge so I can finally be free.

This sounds like a fantasy, but it’s actually reality in the streets of Montgomery County, MD. This is the life of a rich crackhead named Amy.
Before I tell you about Amy, we gotta get the background first and go all the way back to 2021(if you want to skip and get right to Amy, just go to paragraph 11/12, but you’ll miss out on a lot). It’s the year 2021, I had just came back a couple months ago from pulling off EDD fraud. One day I was driving drop top mustangs in Malibu, the next I’m seeing my accounts get frozen and my money slowly begin to dwindle down. Before I knew it I was back in DC, broke and back to square one. Now from the time I was in Cali to the time I returned a lot of shit happened. I fell off with a lot of people, so I found myself hanging around an unusual crowd of people, the Bethesda kids.
You see before I dropped out of Towson University, I had met this nigga named LP, he was from Bowie and he went to school out Bethesda, but me and him got along because we had two things in common: we both liked DMV music, and we both liked to party our asses tf off. But that’s a story for another day.
You see LP put me on to a lot of people from Bathesda, I had never really hung around white folks before, and with the connections he gave me i made friends with a couple of crackas and even met my now deceased ex girlfriend. I was going to the craziest white functions and constantly turning up. But I saw more than a chance to have fun, saw this as a money making opportunity🤑 cha ching! And it was through LP that I met some friends who introduced me to a nigga named Swervy.
You see them white folks love to drink beer and smoke weed at parks, so one day I’m meeting up wit one of my good men, Ju. Ju is the typical school shooter typa fella, so it’s no surprise what I saw when I linked up with him at the spot. With him was this long haired European foreign exchange motherfucker whose name I forgot, and this bearded Eastern European nigga named Swervy, and he was wildin the fuck out. Mind you I’m from the projects, and all these bathesda niggas I’m meeting are rich ass motherfuckers who live in multi million dollar mansions. Keep in mind these cats may be rich, but everybody out bathesda is rich so these are basically the rejects. Pretty much the closest thing to a street nigga you can find out there.
As I’m getting introduced to some of these cats, Swervy pulls out a syringe. So I ask “Man wtf is this man doing,” “He’s shooting up fent” casually says Ju. That was the first time I ever witnessed someone shooting up a drug, and it wouldn’t be the last. Swervy would eventually become Amy’s boyfriend. And he was quite the yapper, he’s one of those motherfuckers who peaked in high school, and now he’s just watching his life come spiraling down, at least that is until he meets Amy…
In this meet up I learn a lot about Swervy. He was basically a kingpin at the age of 16-17. He would get shipments of 10’s of thousands of Xanax bars and sell them like hotdogs at a baseball game. These weren’t your regular junkies, these are the children of senators, buisness owners and lawyers. So you didn’t have to worry about a junkie saying he’ll pay you back, money was nothing to these crazy ass white folks. In the midst of all this yapping, I hear something that caught my attention.
“Yea so basically my cousins got like seven pounds of weed and 500gs of thc wax that they’ll give me if I can pick it up, it’s all the way in Arizona” Says Swervy.
🤑🤑🤑Cha mothafucking ching! This was the money I was talking about. Now driving cross country with pounds of weed and concentrate was risky, but shit I’d give my left nutsack for that kind of opportunity. And I might as well have, because a week later I was on my way to Tucson, with this Russian speaking drug addict I had just met the other day. Mind you I’m driving around in a red Lancer, with paper Vermont tags that I had printed online. I might as well Have went up to the police station and asked any of them if they wanted to buy drugs. My young naive dumbass didn’t realize the risk, all I was thinking about was 🤑🤑🤑 cha Ching!
I can sit here all day and tell you about that drive to Arizona, but imma keep it short and simple so we can get to this Amy chick. It was a fucking disaster, but we end up somehow making it back. We got the pounds and the concentrate, but it was all fucking shake! I’d be lucky to sell that shit for $100 a zip. Anyways, the trip opened my eyes to something, this nigga Swervy was a crashout crackhead dummy, and if I continue hanging out with him I was gonna end up dead or in jail. So I begin distancing myself, as I watched this man throw his life away from a far.
Now months go by, and at this point I’m like the street life ain’t for me and I’m working a job, I got a girlfriend and I’m staying low and just cooling it, with these pounds of weed that was so garbage, I was giving it away like charity donations. I had that goodwill pack! Just as things settle down that’s when Swervy comes back in contact with me. You see last time I had linked him, this man was overdosing off fent and we had to drive him to the hospital and save his life. But to my surprise, he was a changed man, or at least that’s what I thought...
He now has this girlfriend and he lives with her in germantown. You see me I’m baffled and curious, what crazy bitch would date this crazy motherfucker who’d probably sell his soul for one shot of heroin? I just had to find out. And when I met Amy I just didn’t know what to say. She was in her 30s and Swervy and me were in our early twenties. Amy was this slim, blonde hair, blue eyed Czechoslovakian chick who stood at about 5’7”. She wasn’t attractive by no means, you can tell the drugs did it’s toll on her, but if you’re drunk enough she can probably look fuckable. She had her degree in psychology from UMBC, but don’t be fooled her brain seemed like it was long fried. A conversation with her felt like a trip to the mental asylum. You will have better luck deciphering ancient Egyptian hyrogriphics before you can make sense of a word she says. Regardless I genuinely tried to get to know her. My guess was at some point in life she must’ve took a full sheet of acid and never recovered since. But she had her own two bedroom condo with a view of Sugarloaf mountain, a Pomeranian dog(which Swervy fucking hated), and a new jeep. So regardless I was impressed this crackhead motherfucker managed to bag her. So I asked him “Where did you find this shawty?” “At a hookah lounge in Rockville” he told me. That’s right folks, a fucking hookah lounge. Boi when I tell you after that, I was hitting up hookah spots like I had season tickets!
So I’m hanging out with them a lot now basically third wheeling, but Germantown was a long ass motherfucking drive, and I lived at the borderline to DC so I would even spend some nights in their guest bedroom. This Amy chick had parents that paid for her gas money and food, they had a fireplace and a balcony. And I can enjoy the comfort of all this as long as I occasionally bring some weed to smoke. And me I’m not one of those leeching ass bums, so the only time I’m hanging out with them is when I’m invited. And I got invited a lot, probably because Amy’s a bit cuukoo and Swervy had either robbed or scared off all his friends from Bathesda. He wanted someone to give him a break from her, a bro he can drink a beer with. So I would often times accompany them. One time we were at Buffalo Wild Wings, and as I sit across from both of them Amy begins playing footsies with me under the table. Of course I play it cool. I had no interest in her, mainly because Swervy hits raw and takes hepatitis medication, also having witnessed this man hold a bunch of homeless niggas at gunpoint in broad day light after I lost my phone at this gas station in Arizona. I can only imagine how he would react if he found out I smashed his girl.
A lot of the times I hung out with them, me and Swervy would talk about Amy. You see he’s not the type to hold back certain information, and as he’s telling me about his life and relationship that’s when it hit me. A nigga like me grew up all my life, with the world constantly kicking my ass and in a whole different realm of this life shit, you got these two rich kids who fucked up their life so much with so little consequences it became a culture shock to me. Me I caught a case and felt like my life was over, these two white people are disfunctional jobless drug addicts and they’re living the life I could only dream of having with years of hard work. I began to question the world, how many are there like this? Was my life a joke? I didn’t know where I was going hanging out with them, but if I couldn’t live the good life, I could at least witness it from the front row. I learned one thing about their relationship, Amy was basically getting old and low on options, and her parents supported her. Why? Because she’s not running around getting dicked down by a bunch of drug dealing black men anymore. Here they see this young white man, who’s also Eastern European who makes their highly mentally damaged daughter feel secure. And Swervy could win an Oscar, I mean what a fucking performance! One second he goes from Angus Cloud on Euphoria, the next a good suburban white kid the second he meets her parents. In fact he had convinced them that he was such a good man, even went to family gatherings and all, that they decided, let’s just buy them a full blown house.

I’m talking about a three story townhouse in Germantown, with a fully furnished basement, a patio, a balcony, a grill, 4 bedrooms, a 70 inch television, a paid off brand new fully insured jeep, they’re talking about trips to Italy. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Fool, are we living in a simulation? I couldn’t fucking believe my eyes, Swervy had pulled off the ultimate finesse. He convinced this rich family that he was the one for their daughter. And the most hilarious thing about it is that he was no better than a crackhead heroin junkie you can find panhandling for money on the street. There’s a saying “opposites attract” and these two motherfuckers were far from it. They were two trains headed on a full on collision, so it was only a matter of time before disaster struck, and boy did it strike. Within a year I had witnessed a once fun relationship, become episodes of Shameless. At one point we fell off, I don’t remember exactly why, probably because I was tired of constantly being involved in their nasty games, and once again I distanced myself from Swervy.
The last I heard of Amy, she had kicked Swervy out the house and he caught her giving the sloppy toppy at a local park to 3 guys. Some hoodlum niggas, and a skater dude with a face tatt. The last time I seen Swervy he was arms dealing and one day pulled out an AR-15 on me and threatened to shoot me. I heard he’s now locked up currently awaiting trial because he broke into her home. I have a feeling one day I’ll see him on the news with a crazy headline.

Before I tell you about Amy, we gotta get the background first and go all the way back to 2021(if you want to skip and get right to Amy, just go to paragraph 11/12, but you’ll miss out on a lot). It’s the year 2021, I had just came back a couple months ago from pulling off EDD fraud. One day I was driving drop top mustangs in Malibu, the next I’m seeing my accounts get frozen and my money slowly begin to dwindle down. Before I knew it I was back in DC, broke and back to square one. Now from the time I was in Cali to the time I returned a lot of shit happened. I fell off with a lot of people, so I found myself hanging around an unusual crowd of people, the Bethesda kids.
You see before I dropped out of Towson University, I had met this nigga named LP, he was from Bowie and he went to school out Bethesda, but me and him got along because we had two things in common: we both liked DMV music, and we both liked to party our asses tf off. But that’s a story for another day.
You see LP put me on to a lot of people from Bathesda, I had never really hung around white folks before, and with the connections he gave me i made friends with a couple of crackas and even met my now deceased ex girlfriend. I was going to the craziest white functions and constantly turning up. But I saw more than a chance to have fun, saw this as a money making opportunity🤑 cha ching! And it was through LP that I met some friends who introduced me to a nigga named Swervy.
You see them white folks love to drink beer and smoke weed at parks, so one day I’m meeting up wit one of my good men, Ju. Ju is the typical school shooter typa fella, so it’s no surprise what I saw when I linked up with him at the spot. With him was this long haired European foreign exchange motherfucker whose name I forgot, and this bearded Eastern European nigga named Swervy, and he was wildin the fuck out. Mind you I’m from the projects, and all these bathesda niggas I’m meeting are rich ass motherfuckers who live in multi million dollar mansions. Keep in mind these cats may be rich, but everybody out bathesda is rich so these are basically the rejects. Pretty much the closest thing to a street nigga you can find out there.
As I’m getting introduced to some of these cats, Swervy pulls out a syringe. So I ask “Man wtf is this man doing,” “He’s shooting up fent” casually says Ju. That was the first time I ever witnessed someone shooting up a drug, and it wouldn’t be the last. Swervy would eventually become Amy’s boyfriend. And he was quite the yapper, he’s one of those motherfuckers who peaked in high school, and now he’s just watching his life come spiraling down, at least that is until he meets Amy…
In this meet up I learn a lot about Swervy. He was basically a kingpin at the age of 16-17. He would get shipments of 10’s of thousands of Xanax bars and sell them like hotdogs at a baseball game. These weren’t your regular junkies, these are the children of senators, buisness owners and lawyers. So you didn’t have to worry about a junkie saying he’ll pay you back, money was nothing to these crazy ass white folks. In the midst of all this yapping, I hear something that caught my attention.
“Yea so basically my cousins got like seven pounds of weed and 500gs of thc wax that they’ll give me if I can pick it up, it’s all the way in Arizona” Says Swervy.
🤑🤑🤑Cha mothafucking ching! This was the money I was talking about. Now driving cross country with pounds of weed and concentrate was risky, but shit I’d give my left nutsack for that kind of opportunity. And I might as well have, because a week later I was on my way to Tucson, with this Russian speaking drug addict I had just met the other day. Mind you I’m driving around in a red Lancer, with paper Vermont tags that I had printed online. I might as well Have went up to the police station and asked any of them if they wanted to buy drugs. My young naive dumbass didn’t realize the risk, all I was thinking about was 🤑🤑🤑 cha Ching!
I can sit here all day and tell you about that drive to Arizona, but imma keep it short and simple so we can get to this Amy chick. It was a fucking disaster, but we end up somehow making it back. We got the pounds and the concentrate, but it was all fucking shake! I’d be lucky to sell that shit for $100 a zip. Now months go by, and at this point I’m like the street life ain’t for me and I’m working a job, I got a girlfriend and I’m staying low and just cooling it, with these pounds of weed that was so garbage, I was giving it away like charity donations. I had that goodwill pack! Just as things settle down that’s when Swervy comes back in contact with me. You see last time I had linked him, this man was overdosing off fent and we had to drive him to the hospital and save his life. But to my surprise, he was a changed man, or at least that’s what I thought...
He now has this girlfriend and he lives with her in germantown. You see me I’m baffled and curious, what crazy bitch would date this crazy motherfucker who’d probably sell his soul for one shot of heroin? I just had to find out. And when I met Amy I just didn’t know what to say. She was in her 30s and Swervy and me were in our early twenties. Amy was this slim, blonde hair, blue eyed Czechoslovakian chick who stood at about 5’7”. She wasn’t attractive by no means, you can tell the drugs did it’s toll on her, but if you’re drunk enough she can probably look fuckable. She had her degree in psychology from UMBC, but don’t be fooled her brain seemed like it was long fried. A conversation with her felt like a trip to the mental asylum. You will have better luck deciphering ancient Egyptian hyrogriphics before you can make sense of a word she says. Regardless I genuinely tried to get to know her. My guess was at some point in life she must’ve took a full sheet of acid and never recovered since. But she had her own two bedroom condo with a view of Sugarloaf mountain, a Pomeranian dog(which Swervy fucking hated), and a new jeep. So regardless I was impressed this crackhead motherfucker managed to bag her. So I asked him “Where did you find this shawty?” “At a hookah lounge in Rockville” he told me. That’s right folks, a fucking hookah lounge. Boi when I tell you after that, I was hitting up hookah spots like I had season tickets!
So I’m hanging out with them a lot now basically third wheeling, but Germantown was a long ass motherfucking drive, and I lived at the borderline to DC so I would even spend some nights in their guest bedroom. This Amy chick had parents that paid for her gas money and food, they had a fireplace and a balcony. And I can enjoy the comfort of all this as long as I occasionally bring some weed to smoke. And me I’m not one of those leeching ass bums, so the only time I’m hanging out with them is when I’m invited. And I got invited a lot, probably because Amy’s a bit cuukoo and Swervy had either robbed or scared off all his friends from Bathesda. He wanted someone to give him a break from her, a bro he can drink a beer with. So I would often times accompany them. One time we were at Buffalo Wild Wings, and as I sit across from both of them Amy begins playing footsies with me under the table. Of course I play it cool. I had no interest in her, mainly because Swervy hits raw and takes hepatitis medication, also having witnessed this man hold a bunch of homeless niggas at gunpoint in broad day light after I lost my phone at this gas station in Arizona. I can only imagine how he would react if he found out I smashed his girl.
A lot of the times I hung out with them, me and Swervy would talk about Amy. You see he’s not the type to hold back certain information, and as he’s telling me about his life and relationship that’s when it hit me. A nigga like me grew up all my life, with the world constantly kicking my ass and in a whole different realm of this life shit, you got these two rich kids who fucked up their life so much with so little consequences it became a culture shock to me. Me I caught a case and felt like my life was over, these two white people are disfunctional jobless drug addicts and they’re living the life I could only dream of having with years of hard work. I began to question the world, how many are there like this? Was my life a joke? I didn’t know where I was going hanging out with them, but if I couldn’t live the good life, I could at least witness it from the front row. I learned one thing about their relationship, Amy was basically getting old and low on options, and her parents supported her. Why? Because she’s not running around getting dicked down by a bunch of drug dealing black men anymore. One second he goes from Angus Cloud on Euphoria, the next a good suburban white kid the second he meets her parents. In fact he had convinced them that he was such a good man, even went to family gatherings and all, that they decided, let’s just buy them a full blown house.
That’s right, a FULL FUCKING HOUSE. I’m talking about a three story townhouse in Germantown, with a fully furnished basement, a patio, a balcony, a grill, 4 bedrooms, a 70 inch television, a paid off brand new fully insured jeep, they’re talking about trips to Italy. Intellectually, if the AGI/ASI is to humans what humans are to ants, then why do we remotely think that our goals, morals, expectations and societal norms would align with theirs? Seems like a fool's errand to me. That's the part I'm having the most trouble making sense of.
Like, if we examine the relationship between humans and ants, we understand that our goals and behaviors are fundamentally different. Ants operate on a level dictated by their biology and social structures, while humans navigate a complex world shaped by culture, history, and individual experiences. I've never once in my entire life thought about an ant's day and if there's something I could do to make it better or worse. If I see one in the house I step on it indiscriminately without so much as a second thought, nor does the ant slaying linger in my mind as residual insecticide guilt. Nothing. The disparity in cognitive abilities and motivations between the two species is immense, resulting in the value of the lesser species' (ants) life to become inconsequential to the dominate species (humans) -- logically, wouldn't the same apply with AGI/ASI and humans?
Let's try it and apply this understanding to the potential development of AGI or ASI. These entities, if realized, would likely possess cognitive abilities far beyond our own, akin to the intellectual gap between humans and ants. Attempting to imbue AGI or ASI with human-like goals and morals may be akin to ants trying to understand and align with human values—it could be inherently flawed and potentially futile. But more importantly, what is it about humans that lets us think it's even possible? Is it our inherent hubris? Are we so egocentric that we simply cannot allow ourselves the thought of possibility that in the near future there may in fact be a species whose world will not revolve around us?
Furthermore, the complexity and nuance of human values pose significant challenges in encoding them into AI systems. Our values are shaped by a myriad of factors, from cultural norms to individual beliefs, making it difficult to distill them into a set of directives for AGI or ASI to follow. Also, our norms and beliefs are constantly changing. Can you imagine if AGI was achieved when slavery was the norm or when women's rights were non existent and universally accepted as the status quo? Not mention, if AGI/ASI can self teach itself faster an every human on earth combined, then we wold be foolish to think that even if we did find a way to code it so it's goals aligned with ours, that it wouldn't be able to find a loophole or way around it -- or a way to "get out". (YES.)
Which leads me back to this question that continues to persist in my mind: Is it realistic to expect AGI or ASI to share our goals and morals, given the profound differences in intelligence and cognitive architecture? Hello everyone, today i want to request Project Zomboid
I have longed to have an obsession with zombies in general. And, as a gamer (kinda), i absolutely love Zombies or some apocalyptic games. Not only games but i also love movies about zombies. From TWD(peak fr),WWZ, 28 Days/Week, Zombieland, Train to busan, ect. But movies cant express the true fear and horror that zombies bring about like video game does.
Of course, i have heard about games like Dying Light and Dead Island, Days Gone, L4D, TWD, ... But all of the games above seem to have one thing in general. They are all story-based. I have long searched for a true survival game. Not the story and shi. I want a true experience of surviving in the wild, the apocalypse day by day. And Project Zomboid is a perfect solution to that. Also because the game met my pc' specs. Not too graphic card based but a decent graphic.
So what is PROJECT ZOMBOID?
PROJECT ZOMBOID is an indie game. Yes youve heard that right INDIE. such cool. Its is a hyper realistic survival sims in a zombie apocalypse, where your only goal is to survive. What is so special about the game is that the gameplay is so special and unique. The game is intended to be a hardcore survival game so it has so many mechanics. Some of them such as:
Weather, Illness, Durability, Scavenging, Base building, Realistic health system, Food, Water, .... And so many more that i cant list Lol. Upon reading thst must me an amazing game 🎮
Why cant i afford to buy the game? To be honest, i was born in an Asian Countries. Where the game cost on Steam is 3-4 times more expensive when changing to our countries currency 💵. Not to mention the game cost can be a week supply of food and goodies. Im also a 16 years old so i cant be working (18 or more can work). So that sucks. I really hope that i can successfully request the game and play it myself, not by watching Youtube or sth haha

Alec: Well, in my family now, I'm the only person I know who drops four kids off at school in the morning and comes home and I still have three kids waiting for me. When I get home, I have seven - I have eight children. Ireland, my oldest daughter who's married, Ireland has a baby, and she and her boyfriend are living in Oregon. And I met my wife and I got remarried and I had seven kids in nine years. It's crazy. (I think you meant to say, “my wife is batshit crazy.” The devil is in the details, Zander) And then, all of a sudden, I met my wife, who I love dearly, (I think he repeats this in virtually every interview to counter the years of talking shit about Kim Basinger) every time the baby would get to be two years old, we’d go, maybe it's time for one more baby, one more baby, so we have seven kids. But we're actually selling our house, moving to Vermont. We bought a place in Vermont, and I'm trying to get everybody to start to acclimate up there…I think my wife wants a little change of scenery now, it's so crowded out here…I love Vermont. It's so peaceful. We got a great deal. We got fifty-five acres; house was built in 1792. It's very pretty. The Kids Want Alec Around All the Time Host: What do you do away from your family? Meaning, do you play golf? Do you play tennis? Alec: I play tennis all summer...The thing that's happened in these last ten years, especially the last three or four years, is my kids are used to me being around…I mean they really rely on that… when I'm gone, they're like, you know, they're on FaceTime. I did a lot of coke and then I and then February 23rd, 1985…I stopped doing drugs and my drinking increased, which is they tell you that's going to happen, and that did happen. I just started drinking. I mean, and the thing, I miss drinking. I don't miss drugs at all, but I do miss drinking. I like to drink. (I appreciate next to nothing about this man, but I appreciate the honesty of this statement). Host: But because you don't drink, and because you don't do drugs, what do you do? Do you meditate? I lied; I've been drinking nonstop since 1985. I lie. I tell people I'm sober and I drink my balls off. (Laughs) But no, I do miss drinking, I must say…New York relaxes me. I walk around and I see aspects of it that I've never seen before. I look at a building and I'll go, my god, I never noticed that about that building. Those doors. You know. New York is like a European city. You walk around and keep your eyes open. And I have lunches and coffee with my friends. (Um is he talking about the owner of Madman Espresso? Because that’s the only coffee related person we’ve ever seen him around.) And, I'd like to get out of here because the city is chaotic. (But also relaxing? What the hell?) But we live in the village. It's a little bit more residential. I love New York. I go to the symphony and the opera and the ballet all the time, you know, pretty regularly. But I do try to meditate. Meditating with seven children is like trying to play ping pong on the deck of an aircraft. It's a real pain in the ass. (But they rely on you, Alec?!?!)

"Hikikomori."
Lost contact with the world outside,
Away from their overwhelming presence, I hide.
Part of my soul yearns for connection,
But without the risk of societal infection.
Sick and done with running the rat race,
So I stick to my room, my one safe place.
The system might give rise to a grudge,
But it also gives me no reason to budge.
The window is my only source of natural light,
But day isn’t as peaceful as night.
Nobody takes an interest in my story.
For I’m a social recluse, a hikikomori.
Day in and day out with no human contact.
My loneliness is a feeling, not a fact.
Isolation might bring along despair and gloom,
But at least no one can hurt me in my room.
The window is my only source of natural light,
But day isn’t as peaceful as night.
Nobody takes an interest in my story.
For I’m a social recluse, a hikikomori.
I want to let someone in, but I’m scared.
No one from before ever truly cared.
Watching the days go by on my own,
I’m at peace, despite being alone
