2024.06.01 12:17 ArtMartinezArtist Thought I’d share my faves
| I’ve been into vintage synths for decades but for the past year or so I’ve really been getting into my iPad for music production. I’m currently working on a horror soundtrack with elements of noise, power electronics and some industrial. At this point, my iPad makes up about half of the instruments I’m using. I’ve spent way too much on apps to try them, love them, delete them, redownload them, delete them again. These are those that I’ve found to love. I use Cubasis 3 so most production plugins I use are the in-app purchases but these are the apps I’ve found through years of experimentation. If any of you have any recommendations or tips to share on any of these I’d dig it. submitted by ArtMartinezArtist to ipadmusic [link] [comments] |

2024.06.01 10:59 Yarentlis Please help with my first analog synth
Hi guys, i recently bought the behringer pro vs mini and would like to use it with ableton.
I connected it with an USB cable to my pc and audio jack to my komplete 2 audio interface, which is also connected via usb to my pc.
If i use the "external instrument" in ableton, i can hear the sound of the vst, i can even record it - but if i add effects like valhalla reverb or an eq8, the sound is just not affected.
Any help would be appreciated, i just cant get it to work. Thanks!

2024.06.01 06:34 reanimator2022 Sounds really bad
Hey, hope all is well!
I'll preface by saying I'm a drummer and very new to guitar. That said, all I'm trying to do is get some beefy chugs and such. The problem is I cannot get anything but something that sounds like a cross between a robot and someone singing through their nose - saturated fully with something that might be overdrive.
I'm using Gojira here but also have Nameless - I would suspect I need to tweak presets and I know Youtube demos are double tracked, post, etc. but I cannot get anything that even approaches something pleasing to my ears.
It's hard to put my finger on describing but it's like a metallic, roboty, nasally, sound.
I'm using a Jackson 7 string dinky through a tascam model 12 (set to instrument, gain on 0.)
My issue very well may not be something plugin related, I'm hoping someone more experienced than myself might be able to point me in the right direction.
Here is a recording - I start with just the DI from the interface and then example with Gojira.
I'm not using any inserts, eq, returns on the gtr or master (and the result is essentially the same as this if I just use the stand alone app.) Any help is greatly appreciated, I cannot fathom that this is what I'm supposed to be hearing, even with just straight presets.

2024.06.01 04:03 adamwhitemusic 'Exploding' Percussion Parts
Currently, I have a multiple percussion part with 4 lines on the staff, and a different instrument in each of the spaces. They aren't separated by voice, because the mapping already does the correct playback. I'm probably going to be splitting this up across several players... but what I want to know is if there is a quick and easy way to just explode this staff into 3 different staves without just having to manually do it.
I imagine this is something that could maybe be used for something like a handbell choir or marching bass drums, so that each player would only have their specific notes without the composite (I don't know if they would use that that way... I know MBDs probably never would, but hand bell choirs might if it wasn't too complex).
Maybe a Plugin could do it, but I have no idea how to make on of those in Sibelius, and I haven't really been able to find any decent tutorials on how to make a Sibelius Plugin.

2024.06.01 02:25 nerdyemiste [TOMT] I am looking for a YouTube channel of a bald guy making music using FLStudio and Cubase
Hey there,
I am trying to find the YouTube channel of a Danish or German bald guy, he makes music using FLstudio and cubase, and mainly test plugins like "Native instruments etc". He has a very distinguished last name that begins probably with "EHRL....".
Thank you for your help.

2024.06.01 01:05 RefuseCharacter Sending mixed tracks into Tascam into 4 track cassette recorder?
My bandmate wants our new songs to have that “tape/lofi” sound. All of the instrumental stems/tracks are coming from my MPC live.
Should I have the tracks mixed and leveled out first before running it into the portastudio or run them through the portastudio before mixing and mastering?
Also I’m not entirely sure if this will make much of a difference and may cause more problems than anything.
I know there are plenty of tape effect plugins but my bandmate is adamant about doing it analog.
Let me know if any of y’all have any advice

2024.05.31 23:40 TH3_L1NEMAN123 How do I get this drum machine to start? Idk if I'm stupid but I don't know how to get it to start making actual beats, I twiddle the knobs and click stuff but no music comes out. Help Please.
2024.05.31 22:48 Orangenbluefish Ableton not Recognizing VST/VST3 Versions of Random Plugins?
Been having an odd issue lately where Ableton has decided to only show the VST2/AU/VST3 version of various plugins for no reason, despite all formats being installed
For example, NI Super 8 only shows up as an AU, but I can clearly see the VST3 and VST2 files in the correct library folder. Or alternatively I have soothe2 which only shows up as a VST2, with no VST3 to be found despite being installed
The missing formats are installed in the standard folders, along with all the rest of my plugins that are being recognized. Not really sure what would cause specific ones to be ignored like this?

2024.05.31 22:10 viavermont iPhone live audio editing - there should be an app for that
| Imagine playing a chill instrumental house beat, overdubbed with nature sounds and a slowed down high reverb German uni lecture on astrophysics from YouTube I’ve been thinking about this for a while but put it into PowerPoint this evening. Basically I want to have an app (iPhone), that can let me play more than one sound source simultaneously, add simple effects to some or none of the channels and stream the audio to a speaker. In effect live audio editing I do this to a frequently but poorly on my pc, with Bluetooth speakers and shitty browser extension plugins. I don’t have money to pay someone, or even loads of time but I think it’d be fucking cool so if anyone is interested let’s chat. submitted by viavermont to AppDevelopers [link] [comments] |
