2024.06.01 12:27 ms40ms40ms40ms40 How to control DAC correctly via pipewire

Hello!
I have recently connected a DAC to my system.
A few facts / specs to start with:
OS: MX Linux 23.2 Libretto
DE: KDE 5
Sound: pipewire 1.0
Audio player: strawberry
DAC: miniDSP Flex, connected via USB
Processor of the DAC: 32-bit floating-point 400MHz Analog Devices SHARC DSP
Speakers: PSI Audio A-23M Stereo Setup, no surround, nothing fancy.. just stereo.
because I use Dirac Live, the Flex runs with 32-bit processing and 48 kHz internal sample rate.
The miniDSP Flex accepts stereo PCM audio at sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz over USB.
I attached some pictures of the possible settings and created a little overview in a pdf:
My thoughts to this are:
In the system Settings, the only logic options to me seem "Analog Stereo-Ausgabe/Output", "Digital Stereo (IEC958) Ausgabe/Output", "Pro Audio".
All three options work so far. The only difference that I can see is that with Pro Audio I am able to change the Balance, the volume of the left and right channel, which I dont need. As I am connected with USB Audio, I miss an option like "USB Audio Output" or something like that.
What should I choose here?
In the strawberry settings I am pretty sure to choose "output to a soundcard via ALSA", as this should be the most direct way from the OS to the soundcard?
When I chose ALSA as output in strawberry, I can choose between three ALSA plugins: hw, plughw and PCM.
As I could find out:
The options that I have at "Gerät" (=Device) change according to what ALSA plugin I choose:
As I understand it, one of the advantages of Pipewire is that I can control a sound card directly via ALSA, but still run audio streams in parallel, e.g. in Firefox, without them interfering with each other. Because both run via Pipewire, which works directly on top of ALSA. Is that correct or am I getting something completely wrong?
Ultimately, my goal is to integrate the device into the system as seamlessly as possible and without bottlenecks, so that the audio playback is as perfect as possible and the bit/samplerate potential of the miniDSP Flex can be fully utilized..
I would be very happy if you could support me with your experience to achieve this goal.

2024.06.01 12:17 TenYearsOfLurking Scala's preferred approach to relational data access?

Hey guys, I would appreciate some thoughts/opinions on this.
Preface: In my day to day work I am Java Dev using hibernate. I resented it at first (too much magic), but it kind of grew on me and I recently started to really appreciate it mainly in the following sense: When modeling my domain I can go full java-first, completely ignoring that my model is backed by a RDBMS, that is - code my model as if there were no DB, slap the right annotations on it, (make a few compromises here and there) and get going. It even forward engineers the ddl for me.
So in scala world it seems to me that the accepted approach is to separate the model from the persistent model?
Here is why I think that: - the libraries I found map rows to case classes, but usually no built in support for inheritance, sealed trait hierachies, ... - no support for one to many aggregation - bad support for nested case class, especially if they occur multiple times
Here is a sample of how I would model an invoice if there were no database
scala case class Invoice( ... senderName: String, senderAddress: Address, // general purpose case class to not repeat myself recipientName: String, recipientAddress: Address, status: Status, // some sealed trait with cases like e.g. case Sent(when: LocalDate) positions: List[InvoicePosition] ... )
I feel like I either - have to compromise A LOT in modeling my domain if I want to close to zero hassle with db libs out there - have my db access case classes be separated from the domain and do alot of mapping/transforming
Any experiences, or hints? how do you handle this in your apps

2024.06.01 11:52 Normodox NYC nurse fired after calling Gaza war ‘genocide’ during award acceptance speech

A nurse at a New York hospital won an award for compassion from her employers — and then got fired for using her acceptance speech to accuse Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza.
Palestinian American labor and delivery nurse Hesen Jabr, 34,delivered the fiery remarks as she was being honored earlier this month by NYU Langone Health for her efforts in caring for mothers grieving lost babies.
“It pains me to see the women from my country going through unimaginable losses themselves during the current genocide in Gaza,” she said during her May 7 acceptance speech, according to a video she posted on social media.
“This award is deeply personal to me for those reasons,” Jabr said in her brief remarks, during which she twice used the word “genocide” to describe the Israeli war.
Jabr says she was “dragged” into a meeting with NYU Langone’s president and vice president of nursing on her first day back to work after the ceremony, on May 22.
She said in an online posting that the meeting was called to “discuss how I ‘put others at risk’ and ‘ruined the ceremony’ and ‘offended people’ because a small part of my speech was a tribute towards the grieving mothers in our country.”
Near the end of her shift, however, Jabr was again “dragged” into an office where the hospital’s director of resources, Austin Bender, read her termination letter before she was escorted off the premises by a plainclothes cop, her post said.
In a follow-up post, Jabr took aim at the medical center, lobbing a number of accusations.
In one, she claimed a labor and delivery doctor at the hospital once “pulled [her] aside” in a delivery room as a patient who had just given birth was being stitched up to scold her, allegedly telling her that her people “were the cause of the current bombardment that was happening to them at the time.”
The Post reached out to Jabr by phone and left a voicemail but did not immediately hear back.
NYU Langone spokesman Steve Ritea said in a statement that Jabr was “warned” in December following a “previous incident” and had been admonished “not to bring her views on this divisive and charged issue into the workplace.”
He did not elaborate on the details of the alleged “previous incident,” but because of her failure to heed that warning at the award ceremony, Ritea said, “Jabr is no longer an NYU Langone employee.”
NYU would also not comment on Jabr’s accusations of mistreatment by hospital staff.

2024.06.01 11:35 Vast-Passenger1126 [Discussion] Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey Chapters 48-Epilogue (The Expanse Book #1) Leviathan Wakes

When you're a cop, you don't have the luxury of feeling things. You have to do the job.
Welcome Earthers to our final discussion of Leviathan Wakes. And what an ending it was! If you want to catch up on any previous discussions, you can find the schedule here and marginalia here. Otherwise let's dive in!
Chapter 48: Miller – Miller and crew arrive at Eros. Protogen’s involvement with the station has become public knowledge (and surprisingly it wasn’t Holden that told everyone) which has shifted the blame to the corporation and put the Earth-Mars war on hold. Miller and the OPA team strategically place fusion bombs on Eros and their return transport arrives, but Miller tells Diogo he’s staying behind. The next day, he heads to the outside of Eros and awaits the Nauvoo’s impact, with the Eros’ feed and his imaginary Julie keeping him company. But just before the collision, Eros shouts, “Don’t you fucking touch me!” and dodges out of the way!
Chapter 49: Holden – Understandably, everyone on the Rocinante is like WTF just happened!? Naomi explains that it can’t be magic because whatever Eros just did to move seven thousand trillion tons of rock wasted energy which they can see. So you know, just really fucking advanced science, but not magic! Eros then disappears off the radar but continues to move towards Earth at high speed. Holden and the UNN Escort Vessel agree to temporarily put their differences aside and chase Eros. Holden calls Fred and says this is a great opportunity to get everyone to work together before they all turn into vomit zombies. Fred tells Holden to call Miller and get the remote detonation codes to the bombs on Eros to maybe buy them some time.
Chapter 50: Miller – Miller tells Holden he’s still on Eros, somehow not feeling the insane movement and just hanging out upside down like a bat. Of course Holden wants to rescue Miller, but he’s like, “No bro, you get why I’m here,” and Holden drops it. Miller decides the best bet is to take the fusion bombs inside Eros to whatever is controlling it. Naomi sets him up a dead’s man switch, so now Miller has to somehow drag these heavy ass bombs around without ever lifting his finger off a button for more than 5 seconds. Miller tells Holden his last wish is to find Julie’s parents and figure out their link to Protogen, and then heads into Eros.
Chapter 51: Holden – Eros continues to travel faster and faster, and it is impossible for the Rocinante to keep up without causing serious physical damage or killing everyone on board. Fred calls and says that Earth has forgiven him after learning that he had nothing to do with Eros and, in fact, Protogen hated him. Holden doesn’t have the patience to congratulate Fred on his personal gains since his organs are about to explode. Fred says that Earth is going to launch its entire nuclear arsenal at Eros, but needs the Rocinante to bounce a laser off it so they can use its targeting system to guide their missiles. This means the crew would need to put the ship on autopilot and sacrifice themselves, which Holden isn’t super keen to do. He tells Fred he’ll think about it, but then immediately stops the ship because he refuses to let his crew (especially Naomi) die. Naomi heard everything Fred said and isn’t pleased with Holden’s decision. But no fear, he has a back-up plan! If they turn back on the OPA freighters attached to Eros, they can use their transponders to track Eros. The nukes are successfully launched and everyone’s happy until Miller calls sand says there’s a problem.
Chapter 52: Miller – It’s a struggle, but Miller manages to get into Eros which is now filled with human corpse crust and luminescent dots in the air. He realizes that to find whatever is powering the ‘ship’, he should use temperature to guide him to the hot spot. As he progresses deeper, he hears Eros talk about taking the ‘razor back’ and Miller has the biggest lightbulb moment – Julie is alive and she’s the brain of the protomolecule!
Chapter 53: Holden – Miller tells Holden to check all his vitals to clear that he’s not physically going crazy before dropping the bomb that Julie is the one driving Eros to Earth. He argues that the original protomolecule was meant to infect single-celled organisms. It is now being forced to improvise as it’s infected much more complex creatures so is using Julie and her brain as a template. Miller doesn’t think the protomolecule wants to wipe out humanity, since humans didn’t even exist when it was first launched, so if he can only speak to Julie (or what’s left of her), he can convince her to take Eros away from Earth. He agrees that if he can’t get through to her with words, he’ll use the bomb and blow up Eros, but he needs Holden to buy him some time. Naomi comes up with a plan to deflect the missiles in an arc shape and trick the UNN to not realizing what’s happening. They pitch their plan to Fred who immediately rejects it, but Holden offers him the protomolecule sample in exchange which is too good to pass up. Holden tells Miller the plan is on and that they should take Eros to Venus.
Chapter 54: Miller – Miller is looking for Julie while trying not to go insane. Visions of Holden, Havelock and Muss guide him to the backup environment control room where he finds Julie’s body. He wakes her up, introduces himself and explains the situation. Miller removes his suit helmet, letting the protomolecule infect him, and convinces Julie to head to Venus.
Chapter 55: Holden – Holden wakes up from a nightmare to a call from the UNN ship. They’ve learned about the deflected missiles and the Rocinante is in big trouble. McBride tells Holden he’s got ten minutes to deactivate the false transponders or else she’s shooting them down. Before a battle can break out, Eros reappears on the radar and everyone can see it’s heading away from Earth. It crashes into Venus, saving all of humanity from becoming vomit zombies (for now at least).
Epilogue: Fred – After the Eros crash, tensions are still high among Earth, Mars and the Belt. Fred is about to deliver a speech with the aim to establish peace between all parties. The protomolecule is NOT dead things are happening on Venus, like two kilomtere high crystal towers. So Fred’s hidden sample is the best option for finding a solution to protect humanity. Holden appears and asks if Fred can help him and his crew get amnesty and keep the Rocinante. He also wants Fred to talk about the real Miller and not turn him into a heroic Belter icon. Before his speech, Fred is tempted to go Holden’s way but ultimately labels it a “noble way to fail,” and carries on with his original plan, using Miller’s sacrifice as a tool to try and unite humanity.

2024.06.01 09:57 PuzzleheadedAd5590 My boyfriend (M23) doesn't know what to do with himself at the moment and that's why he's saying a lot of things. Unfortunately, I'm (F25) very sensitive. What should I do?

Hi everyone,
My boyfriend (M23) and I (W25) have been together for a good six months. It's wonderful, we fit well together and, unlike what I experienced before, he's a real man instead of a boy. I really, really like him and I know that he really, really likes me too.
However, a problem has crept in: He's a talker. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't insult me or anything like that. It's more like teasing, which he's had from the start. It never bothered me. But now I've been working 2 jobs for a month (about 30 hours/week) because my parents turned off the tap for my studies (that's another topic). So now I have to work every day and write my Bachelor's thesis on the side. But everything is going well and I get a lot of support from him (e.g. he cooks for me every evening). He's saved up a lot over the last few years with lots of promotional jobs and could live on it for the next year. He's also writing his bachelor's thesis, but unfortunately it's not going well. He's not happy with his studies, would prefer to do something manual and doesn't know where to go after graduation. We looked together for student trainee positions for him, he was invited but not accepted. Problem: He has no work experience in this field yet, but nobody wants to give him work experience. So I go to work every morning and after the long day (I have to get used to working so much at the moment) we see each other, play tennis, go on an activity, cook and cuddle up, it's really nice. However, he and I have noticed that he is very unhappy with his career and as he knows that his studies are not really helping him, he is not motivated to write his bachelor's thesis and is therefore very frustrated.
Since this has been the case, I've been getting more and more comments. And as I'm more exhausted than usual at the moment due to the increased workload, these comments are bothering me more and more. I'm a very sensitive person at heart. I know that this will get better as soon as his bachelor's thesis is finished and he figures out what to do with himself, because he's a determined person, he just doesn't have the right goal in mind right now. I'm really complaining a lot about the situation at the moment and I feel really sorry because he never really complains. We had a long talk about it this morning and he says that he doesn't think he can completely stop making speeches, it's part of him and his ADHD head, he's always done it. But he also reassured me that he loves me very much and that the jokes are no longer because he likes me less, on the contrary.
But how can I deal with it, how can I support him and get him on the right track? Or should I just wait until this phase is over? I know that it will be in 10 weeks, but I also know that the next 10 weeks will be tough.

2024.06.01 09:56 PM_ME_SMALL__TIDDIES "come on, its not like you are the devil"

Its been fucking 7 years. My mother is not even a JW but is very supportive of the JW lifestyle because i have 4 jw uncles from a total of 13 or so uncles, and a jw sister.
Whenever there is the thing where we have to pass the wine and blood, i dont know the name in english and i dont care enough to look it up, my mom will go, and she will always ask for me to go, and she will always tell me its not like i am the devil to burn away if i enter a kingdom hall.
The temptation to tell her that if i was the devil i would be the one giving the speech is HUGE but i don't want to cause the drama, so i just tell her i won't be going.
Edit:she tells my sister she doesn't wanna be a JW because she is unable to forgive people and thus doesn't feel good enough. Imagine if she knew the kind of people Jehovah accepts for leaders, lol

  • Create RESTful APIs for core functionalities (CRUD operations for reservations, guest management, etc.).
  • Implement authentication and authorization.

Step 4: Developing the Frontend

  • Create components for the guest interface (booking form, profile management).
  • Create components for the staff interface (dashboard, room management).

Step 5: Integrating Payment Gateway

  • Set up a payment gateway for processing transactions.
  • Handle webhooks for payment status updates.

Step 6: Testing and Deployment

  • Write unit and integration tests.
  • Deploy the application to a cloud platform.
  • Perform user acceptance testing and gather feedback.

Example Code Snippets

Here are some example code snippets to illustrate the basic structure:

Backend (Node.js + Express)

// server.js
```javascript
const express = require('express');
const app = express();
const mongoose = require('mongoose');
const bodyParser = require('body-parser');
const bookingRoutes = require('./routes/bookings');
const userRoutes = require('./routes/users');
mongoose.connect('mongodb://localhost/hotel_management', { useNewUrlParser: true, useUnifiedTopology: true });
app.use(bodyParser.json());
app.use('/api/bookings', bookingRoutes);
app.use('/api/users', userRoutes);
app.listen(3000, () => {
console.log('Server is running on port 3000');
});
```
// routes/bookings.js
```javascript
const express = require('express');
const router = express.Router();
const Booking = require('../models/Booking');
router.post('/', async (req, res) => {
const booking = new Booking(req.body);
try {
await booking.save();
res.status(201).send(booking);
} catch (error) {
res.status(400).send(error);
}
});
router.get('/', async (req, res) => {
try {
const bookings = await Booking.find();
res.status(200).send(bookings);
} catch (error) {
res.status(500).send(error);
}
});
module.exports = router;
```

Frontend (React)

// App.js
```javascript
import React from 'react';
import { BrowserRouter as Router, Route, Switch } from 'react-router-dom';
import Home from './components/Home';
import Booking from './components/Booking';
import Admin from './components/Admin';
function App() {
return (
);
}
export default App;
```
// components/Booking.js
```javascript
import React, { useState } from 'react';
function Booking() {
const [formData, setFormData] = useState({ name: '', checkInDate: '', checkOutDate: '' });
const handleChange = (e) => {
setFormData({ ...formData, [e.target.name]: e.target.value });
};
const handleSubmit = async (e) => {
e.preventDefault();
try {
const response = await fetch('/api/bookings', {
method: 'POST',
headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json' },
body: JSON.stringify(formData),
});
const data = await response.json();
console.log('Booking successful:', data);
} catch (error) {
console.error('Error:', error);
}
};
return (
);
}
export default Booking;
```
This is a simplified example to get you started. A real-world hotel management system would be more complex and require thorough planning and testing.

2024.06.01 07:50 Genesis6669 Accepting the fact that I won’t have a closure

It's been two months since we broke up, and I have felt bothered by the way it ended ever since. I ended the relationship, but the truth is that I didn't want to; I felt compelled to due to the situation that was affecting my mental health.
To sum up the story, my ex had been avoiding me due to some personal issues she had been dealing with since the beginning of the year. It got to a point where she wasn't interested in talking to me, didn't want to see me, and even ghosted me.
I set my pride aside and tried to fight for us despite all of this because I understood her side. But after months of patience and seeing her drift away, when I tried to talk one last time, I got the classic speech that she was confused about her feelings and didn't see a future with me. After that, I couldn't take it anymore and felt obligated to end things.
What still bothers me about this breakup is that I had to do it through a message. She didn't want to see me, didn't want to talk about our situation, and in the heat of my emotions, I ended things via text, even though I wanted to meet her in person for a more genuine goodbye.
After that, I practically never heard from her again. After I broke up via message, she simply disappeared. She didn't even respond properly, gave me a generic farewell, deleted my contact, and left my life without clarifying any of my questions or opening up to me in the end.
Two months after the breakup (last week), I tried to meet her so we could have a respectful conversation about the breakup and so I could give her a sincere goodbye and deliver a letter saying farewell. I was ignored.
Honestly, I didn't want things to end this way. And I can never understand how someone who loved me so much in the past could treat me so coldly and indifferently in the end without explaining.
She was truly a wonderful person in my life. In the past three years, I experienced the happiest moments of my life with her and learned what love is.
But since last week, I've been starting to accept that I won't be able to resolve things with her and that I will never have my questions answered.
I think in the end not all stories have a closure.
I think I’ll just accept it and move on...

2024.06.01 07:48 AJDon82 How to describe the difference between these two audio clips?

I do most of my voice over recording in a home studio. Pretty basic setup, but it's been enough for a few years for most of our clients. Two dynamic mics running through a SSL2+. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done.
Recently went into a client's studio for a session. Afterwards, we needed a few pickups done, so we did those at home. The client accepted them, as it was just a few seconds, but commented on how much worse the recording at our home was than at their studio.
Now, their studio is top of the line pro, with full sound treatment, best condenser mics etc. So no question their quality would be very good. But what I'm wondering is, what is the actual difference between the 'quality' of my home recording, vs the 'quality' of what we did in their studio? That is to say, when i listen to the two recordingings, I can hear there is a difference, but i can't actually say what that difference is, or what is causing the difference. Is it just the difference in mics and environment, or is there more to it?

I'd be grateful to anyone who had time to take a listen to the two samples and tell me what the actually difference is, and what causes such a difference. Would really appreciate any feedback!

🔗TruGlo Crossbow Scope with Unisex Camo Design

https://preview.redd.it/9jp3ydonyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6b69189cab9b0cc6d9d5de679fcd017862fe01b
I've recently had the chance to try out the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope, a nifty piece of equipment for enthusiastic crossbow users like me. The scope's main highlight was its ability to find the range and calculate the correct trajectory for my crossbow bolts. In my experience, this feature proved to be quite handy in my local archery range, particularly for those days when the wind and temperature were unstable.
One of the things that stood out to me was the scope's robustness. It was designed to handle the harsh conditions of the outdoors, as evidenced by the sturdy aluminum body and the shock-resistant construction. This scope also offered a generous 4-inch eye relief, a feature that helped protect my eyes during those blustery hunting sessions.
The scope's lenses were fully-coated, making them highly resistant to glare, a common concern for crossbow users shooting in low-light conditions. Additionally, the durable leavespring for windage and elevation adjustments were a welcomed bonus, allowing me to finetune my shots with ease.
On the downside, one of the screws on the scope rings was stripped, a minor issue that wasn't a deal-breaker. I also discovered that the scope wasn't rated specifically for a particular crossbow speed. To achieve optimal accuracy, I had to adjust the scope manually, which was a bit tricky and time-consuming.
Regardless of these minor downsides, the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope proved to be an essential piece of equipment in my hunting arsenal. Its ease of use, durable construction, and helpful features make it an excellent choice for anyone seeking to upgrade their crossbow hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix Speedring Crossbow Scope: Improved Targeting for Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/yv4zob6oyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60d2a0609c5c176fe55e6a4aa81c3ea04c5b5485
Using the Killer Instinct MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope has been quite an experience. The scope has made hunting much more enjoyable for me, thanks to its amazing abilities to lock onto and track moving targets from vast distances.
One of the features that really stood out is the durability of the metal case. This thing has a real tank-like feel to it, resisting impacts and harsh weather as if it was made for it. The spring-loaded covers on the lenses also proved to be quite reliable, keeping the lenses safe and scratchless until I was ready to hunt.
The built-in Speed Ring is another aspect of the scope that has impressed me. Making adjustments for my crossbow's speed has been a breeze, and the illuminated reticle is a big help when it comes to sighting in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciate the contrast the red/blue illumination provides.
However, there was one downside that I found a little disturbing. The scope came in a condition that made it apparent that someone had used it before. I was not happy with this fact, especially considering I had paid for a brand new product.
Overall, the MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope is a product that I would recommend, even with its minor fault. It certainly helped me become a better hunter, and it would do the same for anyone looking to enhance their hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Black Ir-E Crossbow Scope with LED Illumination

https://preview.redd.it/ocqm1hgoyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=03a8b9189f67d0e8c0a9f96708d1d18c65355a7a
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. This black 1021 model was a great addition to my hunting gear, providing exceptional clarity thanks to its multicoated optics and 1-inch mono tube construction. The fast focus eyepiece is a game-changer, allowing me to quickly adjust my sight even when on the move.
One feature that stood out was the illuminated cross-hair reticle, which came in both blue and red. It was perfect for low-light situations, making it easier for me to spot my target. I appreciated the adjustment click value of 0.5 inches at 100 yards, as it gave me accurate and consistent shot adjustments.
However, there were a few downsides to this otherwise great scope. The exit pupil was smaller than I would have liked, making it a bit more challenging to see the cross-hair reticle at times. Additionally, the scope's weight was lighter than expected, which might not have been ideal for everyone.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. It's a quality product with some small drawbacks, but its pros certainly outweigh the cons. If you're in the market for a reliable crossbow scope, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Compact Variable Multi-Reticle Crossbow Scope for 300-410 fps Shooting

https://preview.redd.it/yxaiv8voyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7adea9e692c451fd6f3decb6bb45cff672f1af6f
As a reviewer who's been using the Dead-Zone Scope from Excalibur, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for crossbow enthusiasts. This 32mm, 1" tube scope offers unparalleled light transmission and clarity that makes it an ideal choice for those who prefer the thrill of hunting. Its variable multi-reticle design suits crossbows shooting in the 300-410 fps range, providing a perfect fit even for experienced hunters.
One of my favorite features is the bold crosshairs, which make it easy to sight in, even for us who don't have the sharpest eyesight. The scope provides a crystal-clear view, which has been essential in my hunting endeavors, hitting the bullseye consistently at 60 yards. Installation was a breeze, and the ease of adjusting the focus makes it a standout product.
However, one thing that could be improved is the set screw. After a little mishap with the speed ring, it's proven to be a bit tricky to tighten back up. Apart from that, I wholeheartedly recommend this Dead-Zone Scope to anyone looking for an accurate and reliable companion on their hunting adventures.

🔗3X Scope: High-Quality Kid's Telescope with 700mm Focal Length

https://preview.redd.it/exgmpb7pyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5841e6d0c44e722d4e9d76d7d7cca5ce6ea17c9e
When I first got this Amscope telescope for my son, I was surprised at how easy it was to set up. The tripod was sturdy and the adjustment knobs were simple to use. The magnification range was impressive, going from 35x to a whopping 350x! The 3X Barlow lens and two eyepieces really made a difference in what we could see in the night sky.
One thing I really liked about this scope was its light-gathering power. It gathered 100 times more light than our old telescope, making it much easier to spot celestial objects. The 90-degree prism also made it easier to view objects in the sky.
However, there were some cons to this telescope. The eyepieces could have been of better quality, as they were a bit blurry at high magnifications. Additionally, the altitude-adjustment knob on the tripod could have been more precise, making it a bit harder to find objects in the sky.
Overall, the Amscope-kids telescope was a great choice for my son's first foray into astronomy. Its ease of use and impressive magnification range made it a joy to use.

🔗High-Power Angled Spotting Scope for Exceptional Clarity and Distance

https://preview.redd.it/zd6wwekpyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=042b002343b59b4bdfb9db158fe349a936d8aac5
The Leica APO-Televid 82 Angled Spotting Scope is the perfect tool for birders and nature lovers looking to get closer to the action without limitations. With a sleek design measuring only 12.9 inches in length and 52.6 ounces in weight, this angled scope fits easily in your pack for a day of outdoor adventures.
The magnesium housing provides both strength and portability, while the scope body remains completely waterproof to protect against harsh weather conditions. The fluoride glass front lens element ensures excellent contrast and color accuracy, making this scope an exceptional choice for digital photography enthusiasts. With a minimum close focus of 12.8 feet and Leica's digiscoping adapters, this scope is perfect for capturing stunning images of wildlife in their natural habitat.

🔗Premium Spotting Scope with Folded Light Path Technology and 100% Waterproof Construction

https://preview.redd.it/l0cfstvpyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f72a6ef1d38b6a2c183bf2931e7fb897e017491
During a recent trip to the mountains, I had the chance to put Leupold's Gold Ring 12-40x60mm HD Spotting Scope to the test. While the gray housing looked sleek, it was the scope's impressive durability that truly stood out. I had read that Leupold had implemented a proprietary nitrogen fill process to ensure a 100% waterproof and fog-proof performance. I eagerly put the scope to the test, by inadvertently dipping it into a small stream. To my delight, it continued to function flawlessly, proving the effectiveness of this innovative feature.
A few days later, I took the scope to a nearby wildlife preserve to spot endangered birds in their natural habitat. The scope's impressive magnification was an absolute game-changer. It allowed me to observe the delicate intricacies of these fascinating creatures, from the texture of their feathers to their unique flight patterns. The extra low dispersion optical system played a pivotal role in delivering stunningly vivid and bright colors, contributing to an overall remarkable viewing experience.
The tripod-ready feature also proved to be quite practical in my adventure, as it enabled me to easily stabilize the scope for extended periods of time, even under challenging conditions. The prism-less folding light path, which uses mirrors to compress the long optical system, was another standout feature. It significantly reduced the scope's weight and made it more compact, making it convenient to carry anywhere.
Although the price of this Gold Ring scope is significantly higher than most other brands, it's worth every penny. Its remarkable performance ensures that it remains a valuable addition to my gear, even amidst the vast competition in the market. With a plethora of customizable settings, the scope serves as an unparalleled guide for spotting and tracking game, be it for hunting or observational purposes. While the Leupold 20x60x80 Gold Ring might seem expensive, the extraordinary visual performance it delivers makes it truly worth the investment.

🔗Swarovski ATS-65 HD 20-60x65mm Spotting Scope: Lightweight & Comfortable for Outdoor Observations

https://preview.redd.it/x7x6rabqyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78408269b1db949d45445260f6564675d9272b1a
When I received the Swarovski ATS-65 HD 20-60x65mm Spotting Scope, I was ecstatic to finally have my own to join fellow bird watchers on our adventures. The first thing I noticed about this scope was its user-friendly ergonomic design. It was comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver, even with glasses on.
One feature that stood out was its bright, high contrast view. The SWAROCLEAN non-stick lens coatings did an excellent job of minimizing color aberrations, ensuring the image was clear and vibrant. However, I did find that the scope could be a bit heavy for long observation periods.
When comparing it to other spotting scopes, the ATS-65 HD truly shined in terms of its edge-to-edge sharpness and color fidelity. It was lightweight and comfortable, making it perfect for long days outdoors. Overall, I would highly recommend this spotting scope to anyone looking for a versatile and high-quality tool for their outdoor adventures.

🔗Advanced 15-45x60 FDE T Series Scope with ED Prime Glass and Mil-Hash Reticle

https://preview.redd.it/mt4jv1qqyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5db4de694cc6c2c48e46d29c8627920bce37638e
I've been using this Bushnell T spotting scope in my outdoor activities, and it's been quite the experience. The Mil-Hash reticle works seamlessly with the Mil-Base riflescope reticle, making zeroing a breeze. The scope has a heavy-duty, militaristic feel with a rubberized coating. The Picatinny rail mounts are a nice touch, and they're also compatible with a red dot sight for added accuracy.
The optical clarity is what one can expect at this price point, but it does the job well enough. The lens caps make it a breeze to protect the glass from dust, debris, and other environmental conditions. The only issue I had with the front lens cap is the lack of a lanyard attachment, making it easily misplaced.
The case, on the other hand, left me concerned about Bushnell's overall quality. The Velcro stitching on the lens flap failed on the first day, and the scope case seems too small for the scope. The magnification setting ring could use some improvement as well, but overall, it's an acceptable addition.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the scope has proven to be durable and holds up well under rough outdoor conditions. Its compact design and easy-to-handle eyepiece make it a top choice for avid spotters. With a solid construction, good image quality, and an attractive price point, this Bushnell T series spotting scope is worth considering for your next outdoor adventure.

🔗TDS350 2-channel Oscilloscope - 200 MHz Sampling, Accurate Data Collection

https://preview.redd.it/699v39bryv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b03e90803246e54c801634a63961ec09fed3aa6
The Tektronix TDS350 2 Channel Oscilloscope has been an integral part of my daily life as an electronics enthusiast. This instrument, known for its exceptional performance, has been a game-changer in troubleshooting and analyzing complex electronic signals. The 200 MHz bandwidth and 1 GS/s sampling rate on each channel deliver accurate waveform representations, even at the highest sweep speeds. The oscilloscope's ergonomic design and intuitive user interface make it a pleasure to work with, whether it's set up for in-depth signal monitoring or quick troubleshooting of issues.
While the TDS350 excels in many aspects, its versatile capabilities can sometimes be overwhelming for beginners. Users might need to invest some time in understanding the various display modes, acquisition power features, and waveform analysis tools to get the most out of this instrument. However, once you have a grasp of its capabilities, the TDS350 proves to be an invaluable tool in any electronics lab or workshop. Overall, the Tektronix TDS350 2 Channel Oscilloscope is a reliable and feature-rich instrument that deserves its spot as a top-rated item in the oscilloscope market.

🔗Swarovski ATS/STS High Definition Spotting Scope with Extra Low Dispersion Glass

https://preview.redd.it/e68wtvkryv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=703d6b1547a78c788741a800fec795105822af49
For my money, I'd have to say the Swarovski ATS/STS High Definition spotting scope is worth every penny. It's a behemoth of a scope but once you have it mounted securely, it's hard to beat the view. The image quality is stunning, with bright, vibrant colors that really pop. The lenses are crystal clear, which makes for a sharp, crisp image even at higher magnifications. The ergonomics of the scope are great too - it fits comfortably in your hand, and the focus mechanism is smooth and easy to adjust.
The coated lenses really make a difference in terms of color and light transmission, which was evident when I was glassing a herd of deer one morning. The light transmission was so good that I could easily distinguish the individual deer, even with my eyes adjusted to the low light levels.
But, there are a couple of drawbacks. For starters, it's a expensive piece of equipment, so it's not exactly something you'll just throw in your backpack for a weekend hike. Additionally, the scope is quite heavy, which can be a problem if you're planning on carrying it for extended periods.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spotting scope to anyone who's serious about their outdoor pursuits. The image quality is simply unbeatable, and once you've used it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Just be prepared to dig deep into your wallet!

🔗UHD Spotting Scope with Apochromatic Lens System and Advanced Fully Multi-Coated Lenses

https://preview.redd.it/sub4sp1syv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eddd5652a05afc51a68214c1a5aaac6abe77357d
In the world of optics, the Athlon Optics Ares G2 UHD 20-60x85 Straight Spotting Scope has made a name for itself. It's not just for the birders spotting variances in plumage from far away or for the precision shooters who aim for targets at 1,000 yards, the scope's extra-low dispersion glass provides vivid clarity and resolution in a full-size spotting scope.
Athlon has cleverly designed it to be lightweight although strong, making it comfortable to carry and use for long periods. The aluminum alloy chassis adds to its strength without making it too heavy. With its twist-up eye-cup, it allows you to set the eyecup to the perfect eye relief for your eyes, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience.
Its ESP Dielectric Coating gives you an advantage in viewing with an image that has little or no chromatic fringe for the clearest and sharpest image. The UHD Glass in the lens helps in converging refracting colors into one focus point, producing greater contrast, sharpness, and color definition.
Reflecting over 99% of the light to your eyes, the scope brings you a clear, bright image and accurate color reproduction, thanks to the BaK4 Prisms coupled with advanced fully multi-coated lenses. It produces perfect brightness and color across the entire light spectrum, making viewing under different lighting conditions a breeze.
And when it comes to durability, the scope doesn't disappoint. It comes with an extra protective layer coating that keeps the exterior of the lens free from dirt and scratches. It's also Argon Purged and Waterproof, ensuring weatherproof performance even in harsh conditions. Purging allows for better waterproofing/fogging, making sure your scope doesn't fog up when you switch environments.
Overall, it's a joy to use this spotting scope. It's not just about viewing in high detail but also the ease it offers in using it. You won't be disappointed with its performance and features.

🔗Kowa TSN-82SV 82mm Angled Spotting Scope with Advanced Optics and Weatherproofing

https://preview.redd.it/sbwqvpjsyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f75dfd2df188711d4a126560ab8e40403e569f5
As a reviewer, I've recently had the pleasure of using the Kowa TSN-82SV 82mm Angled Spotting Scope in my everyday life. This innovative tool has proven to be an invaluable addition to my arsenal, offering a host of impressive features that make it stand out from the crowd.
One aspect I truly appreciate is the scope's ability to gather a wealth of light, thanks to its 82mm objective lens. This feature has made a significant difference in my nature viewing experiences, allowing me to observe even the most elusive creatures under a variety of lighting conditions. In addition, the angled viewing design of the TSN-82SV is a game-changer for comfort during extended glassing sessions. The inclusion of a UV filter on the front lens also adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring that my scope remains in pristine condition for years to come.
However, no product is without its drawbacks, and the TSN-82SV does have a few shortcomings that are worth mentioning. Firstly, the zoom functionality at x60 can be somewhat limited, and I often found myself reverting to lower magnification settings for maximum versatility. Additionally, the device does have a relatively bulkier and heavier design when compared to some of its competitors, which may be a factor to consider for those planning extended excursions.
In conclusion, the Kowa TSN-82SV 82mm Angled Spotting Scope has undoubtedly earned a spot in my gear collection for its impressive light-gathering capabilities, comfortable design, and weatherproofing features. While it does have a few minor drawbacks, the benefits it offers far outweigh these issues, making it a highly recommended choice for those in search of the ultimate nature-viewing experience.

🔗Garmin LiveScope Plus: Revolutionizing Fish Finding Technology

https://preview.redd.it/s4utwv3tyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=637996172eccb152dfe80b13f83534c71da4a701
Imagine you're out on your boat, eagerly waiting to cast your line and catch that elusive big fish. You've heard about the Garmin LiveScope Plus, and how it's revolutionized the world of fishing, but will it live up to the hype? Let me tell you, it certainly does.
The first thing that strikes you about the LiveScope Plus is its stunning resolution. It's like having x-ray vision underwater, allowing you to see every structure, bait, and fish swimming around your boat in real time. The easy-to-use interface makes it a breeze to navigate, even for a tech novice like myself.
One of the most impressive features is the adjustable transducer. Whether you're fishing in shallow waters or deep ones, the LiveScope Plus has got you covered. You can switch between Forward mode to see what's ahead of your boat and below, Down mode to get a clear view of what's directly beneath you, and Perspective mode for a top-down view. Your compatible Garmin chartplotter screen automatically displays the view changes, making it a seamless experience.
The Attitude Heading Reference System stabilization keeps your sonar view steady, even in rough conditions. It's like having a steady hand to guide your fishing adventures. Plus, the LiveScope Plus comes with a trolling motor shaft and barrel mounts, as well as Perspective Mode Mount, ensuring it fits perfectly on your boat.
However, there is one downside: the communication cable is only 6 feet long. If you're planning to use it on both the front and back of your boat, you'll need to order a longer cable. But aside from that minor inconvenience, the LiveScope Plus is an absolute game changer for fishing enthusiasts.
In conclusion, the Garmin LiveScope Plus is not just a product - it's an experience. It's like having a secret weapon that gives you an unfair advantage over the fish. And if you're serious about fishing, believe me, you want this on your boat.

Buyer's Guide

A 350 Legend scope is an essential accessory for hunters and shooting enthusiasts who prefer this particular ammunition. It enhances accuracy, efficiency, and overall performance when using the 350 Legend cartridge. This buyer's guide will outline the key features to look for when purchasing a 350 Legend scope, and provide you with valuable information to make an informed decision.

Important Features to Consider

https://preview.redd.it/fjinkxkuyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4a39e4e01b58cc78c7d6bc7d02e92086f61870f
  1. Objective Lens Size
  2. Magnification Power
  3. Reticle Type
  4. Lens Coatings
  5. Build Quality
  6. Eye Relief

Objective Lens Size

The objective lens size is a crucial aspect of a quality scope. It determines how much light enters the scope, affecting the brightness and clarity of the image. For shooting in low-light conditions, a larger objective lens size is more beneficial. However, consider the balance between brightness and portability, as larger lenses can increase the overall weight of the scope.

Magnification Power

Magnification power represents how much the target appears enlarged through the scope. Higher magnification provides better accuracy at longer ranges. However, more magnification also contributes to a smaller field of view and increased image instability. Determine your primary shooting distances and select a scope that strikes the right balance between magnification and field of view for your specific needs.

Reticle Type

Reticle design plays a significant role in how the scope functions. Some reticles are simple crosshairs, while others are more complex with additional markings for estimating range, windage, and holdovers. Consider your shooting style and preferences when choosing a reticle. Consulting with a professional or reading reviews from other users can also provide helpful insights.

Lens Coatings

Effective lens coatings improve light transmission and reduce glare, leading to a brighter and clearer image. Look for high-quality coatings such as anti-fog, anti-reflection, and scratch-resistant treatments. These features contribute to the overall durability and performance of the scope.

Build Quality

https://preview.redd.it/7jyxkgjvyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4532d25b5a575d6563244d794e7efa6e3e22abdc
When searching for a 350 Legend scope, examine the build quality of the scope to ensure it can withstand frequent use. Durable materials, tight seals, and waterproof construction contribute to a scope's longevity and resistance to wear and tear. A well-built scope will not only last longer but perform more consistently over time.

Eye Relief

Eye relief is the distance between your eye and the scope's eyepiece that is necessary for proper viewing. Insufficient eye relief can result in eye strain, discomfort, or even eyewear damage. Look for a scope with sufficient eye relief to accommodate your shooting style, while also considering the scope's overall design and portability.
When selecting a 350 Legend scope, it's essential to consider the essential features and your specific shooting needs. By researching different options, reading reviews from other users, and consulting with experts or professionals, you can make an informed decision and find the best scope to enhance your 350 Legend shooting experience.

2024.06.01 05:23 FancyInvestment397 Wild Casino Review [Updated June 2024]

Wild Casino Review [Updated June 2024]
Wild Casino transports you to a lush jungle setting with more than 430 casino games for you to explore. The majority of the games are slots, but there’s a great selection of blackjack, table games, specialty games, and a live dealer.
I especially like the one million dollars in tournament prizes given away every month, and the $5,000 welcome bonus and $9,000 crypto welcome bonus add a lot of kick to your bankroll. There are a large variety of banking methods and payouts are complete within 48 hours for most options. The casino has a lot going for it and a few shortcomings, stick with me and I’ll tell you everything I discovered on my jungle adventure.
Wild Casino
Pros
  • Most fun, easy to use games
  • Huge selection of banking methods
  • Several specialty bonus options
  • Good selection of specialty games
Cons
  • No sports betting or poker rooms
  • Not many jackpot games

Wild Casino User Interface

Wild Casino feels like it is set in the jungle. I love how simple it is to navigate and how the theme carries through on every page. The first thing you’ll notice is the rotating banner that prominently displays the welcome bonus and various other promotions.
Game categories are in a menu at the top, or you can scroll and see the games available. The ‘View All’ button reveals all the titles in that category.
An additional navigation menu is at the top of the screen with banking, help, sign-up, and login buttons. A drop-down menu with games, promotions, banking, and help options is on the far right of the screen.

Available Games at Wild Casino

Wild Casino has a great selection of games by software providers Real Time Gaming, Rival, BetSoft, DragonGaming, and Nucleus. There are more than 300 slot titles, table games, blackjack, video poker, and specialty games like scratch cards and Keno.
I particularly like their live dealer platform. It has more than 20 games available 24/7. In addition to blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, it also offers slots, craps, and bingo, which I found to be unique and not typical of other live dealer platforms I’ve reviewed.
Clicking on a game title reveals a short description, volatility rating, and an option to add it to your favorites list. However, a demo feature is not available for all games. I found this quite disappointing because you must wager to play and can’t test games/strategies out for free like you can on many other online gambling sites.

Slots

Wild Casino has 368 slot titles. Slot enthusiasts will find 3-reel, 4-reel, 5-reel, and video slots with multiple paylines, bonus games, and a few progressive titles with big jackpots.
Slot-specific promotions include a weekly 10% rebate for losses up to $250 and a weekly cash slots tournament by invitation.
Here are some of my favorite real money slots at Wild Casino:

Blackjack

Wild Casino has one of the largest selections of blackjack variations of any online casino. There are 14 different blackjack games to play in the casino and more than 15 tables in the duel live dealer section. Whether you’re a novice or a pro, there’s a blackjack game for everyone at Wild Casino.
Here’s a sample of blackjack titles I found at Wild Casino:

Table Games

Wild Casino has a great selection of table games, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, rummy, and craps. It is the perfect place for players who enjoy using strategy to create bigger wins for themselves.
There are more than 30 table games to choose from. Below you’ll find a few table game titles I enjoyed at Wild Casino:

Video Poker

Video poker is another thriving area of the casino. I was impressed with the number of variations available. Video poker players will find more than fifteen different games to pass the time. The selections are split into two categories: Single Hand and Multi-Hand.
Here are a few favorite Video Poker titles at Wild Casino:

Live Dealer Games

The live dealer platform has more than 100 games for players who crave social interaction. Games are available 24/7 and are divided into two sections: the red platform by Fresh Deck Studios and the black platform by Lucky Streak.
Players can customize their experience by choosing their dealer and table setup, creating an experience reminiscent of a land-based casino.
Wild Casino’s live dealer platform is impressive. In addition to typical live dealer games, it offers slots, bingo, specialty games, poker, and more.

Wild Casino for Mobile

Wild Casino is mobile-friendly and compatible with Android and iOS devices. When testing it on my smartphone, it loaded quickly and seamlessly. I did not experience any lags when playing the games which was great. It ran smoothly both on my WiFi and mobile data. It has all the same games and features available as it does on the desktop.

There is no download or app for Wild Casino, you access it by using your browser and a reliable internet connection. If you prefer a casino that has an app to download, you can try Wild Casino’s sibling company BetOnline.
While reviewing the browser-based site from Wild Casino, I paid close attention to its user interface. In this section, we’ll provide you with feedback regarding its mobile compatibility, functionality, design, and more:
  • Functionality: The functionality of the app from Wild Casino was pristine. At no point during my review did I experience any issues with navigation or overall app experience.
  • Mobile Compatibility: I am pleased to report the Wild Casino app is mobile-compatible. That means you can easily use it from tablets and smartphones if you’d like. I tested it out on devices from several manufacturers like Apple and Android and found it worked perfectly on all of them.
  • Download Casino: Luckily, there isn’t a download required to use the app from Wild Casino. Instead, everything is web-based. To use their app, simply point your device’s browser to their main website, and you’ll be ready to start playing casino games online without the need for a software download.
  • Design: The overall design of the Wild Casino app is impressive. I enjoyed the modern jungle-themed look, which helped it to stand out from many other casino apps with more simplistic and dated designs.

Wild Casino Bonuses in 2024

Wild Casino has a variety of bonuses and promotions for multiple games that will add funds to your bankroll and keep you playing through the weeks. There are two welcome offers for newcomers, including one for crypto users, weekly match, reload, and rebate promotions for returning players, contests, featured games, and tournaments.
Note that some bonuses at Wild Casino require bonus codes, while others are added to your account automatically when you opt-in. The codes you need are noted below.

CRYPTO300 is subject to a 45x rollover and CRYPTO150 is a 30x rollover. A minimum deposit of $20 is required.
The crypto bonus applies to slots, video poker, and table games. Live dealer tables are not eligible.

10% Weekly Rebate

Aside from the live dealer casino, players can get a 10% rebate on any casino game loss between Monday and Thursday. This weekly promo features a 10% rebate on all losses up to $250. The maximum loss is $1,000, and the maximum rebate bonus is $250. You will find a rollover requirement here of 40x.

Featured Game of the Week

Every week at Wild Casino, a different slot game is featured. You must have more than 100 spins between Monday and Thursday to qualify for 1 of 10 weekly prizes of $500. Players can win extra entries for every additional 100 spins they play on the select slot. The $500 bonus at Wild Casino is subject to a rollover of 10x and a maximum cashout of 2x.

Wild Diamond 7’s Progressive Jackpot

This promotion allows players to achieve a massive payout for only $1. When players place the $1 side bet for the Wild Diamond 7’s slot, they have a chance of winning the jackpot.

Tuesday Top Up

Use the promo code WCTOPUP every Tuesday to get an extra $50 when making a minimum deposit of $50. Use it up to three times every Tuesday. Before withdrawing winnings, the real money Wild Casino bonus is subject to a rollover of 45x.

Hump Day Special

Wednesday is a great day to earn some extra funds from Wild Casino. Players who deposit $30 or more can use bonus code HUMPDAY1 to get a bonus of 25% up to $250. Deposits of $150 or more with promo code HUMPDAY2 are eligible for a 50% bonus up to $250. The offer is available up to two times every Wednesday. The first Wild Casino bonus code has a rollover of 15x, and the second is subject to 20x.

Refer a Friend

Earn a 200% bonus of up to $200 for every friend you refer to Wild Casino. Your referral must create a new account and make at least one successful deposit at Wild Casino before you are eligible to receive the bonus.

The Ultimate Spin-Off

This Wild Casino bonus involves players getting a weekly invitation to the $5,000 Cash Slots Tournament. Players must wager on four different days between Monday and Sunday to qualify. They must also generate $4,000 or more in order to place in the Cash Slots Tournament.

Banking Options at Wild

Wild Casino offers more than 15 banking options for both deposits and payouts. Credit cards, cryptocurrency, e-wallets, money orders, and wire transfers are available. Most deposit methods are instant so you can get access to your winnings fast. Payouts with crypto have zero fees and are processed within 48 hours.

Deposits

Here’s an overview of the deposit choices showing minimum and maximum amounts and processing fees. Funds will be available in your account within 15 minutes – two hours which is standard for most online gambling sites. Tip: Wild Casino notes that credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are twice as likely to be accepted when making purchases online.

Wild Casino Customer Support

Wild Casino has two primary ways to get in touch with customer service: email and live chat. When testing the chat feature, I received a courteous and friendly reply within seconds. Email response time was within their 24h, but I would recommend the chat for instant answers.
You can find the chat feature and email information in the Contact Us section at the bottom of the home screen. There’s also a FAQ and Help link that provides detailed information on multiple topics.
Email
Wild Casino customer service and support can be reached only by email at [cssuport@wildcasino.ag](mailto:cssuport@wildcasino.ag). Expect a response within 24 hours or less. There is a link at the bottom of the home page and a Help button in the drop-down menu on the right

Security at Wild Casino

Wild Casino is a safe and secure gambling site. It has a license with the Panama Gaming Commission and uses SSL encryption to keep sensitive user information safe.
All real money games at Wild Casino use random number generators (RNGs) to ensure random results for online games with things like shuffling and dealing cards, the spinning of slots reels and roulette wheels, and dice rolls.
All Wild Casino games have return-to-player (RTP) percentages to ensure customers receive a certain percentage back from the games.

Final Verdict

Overall, I thought the Wild Casino experience was enjoyable. I appreciate the fun theme, and simple design. It was easy to find what I was looking for and it has a great selection of slots, table games, video poker, and blackjack. Their multiple banking options are a plus and I love the abundance of bonuses and promotions.
The only areas Wild Casino falls short are the lack of sportsbook, poker tournaments, and demo mode. If real money casino games are all you’re interested in, Wild Casino is a great choice, but if you’d prefer a casino, sportsbook, and poker tournament site, I suggest checking out BUSR.
All in all, it’s a great gambling site for anyone who enjoys playing slots, blackjack, scratch cards, and live dealer games.

2024.06.01 04:55 FancyInvestment397 DuckyLuck Casino - Honest Review in 2024

DuckyLuck Casino - Honest Review in 2024
DuckyLuck Casino first launched in 2020 and is licensed by the Curacao eGaming Commission. This casino has more than 430 slot games from 11 different developers.
You can also use DuckyLuck Casino to play video poker, table games, and bingo. It has live dealer games available as well. There is a 500% deposit match welcome bonus that also includes 150 free spins.
For the best rewards though, you will need to be a member of the DuckyBucks rewards program. There are only five withdrawal options, which could be a turn-off for some users.
DuckyLuck Casino
Pros
  • Huge selection of banking methods
  • Plenty of live dealer games
  • Accepts US players
Cons
  • No live sports betting
  • No Jackpot games
  • High fees for some payout games

User Interface

I found the user interface at DuckyLuck very easy to use. There are tabs at the top of the page that allow players to quickly switch between sections such as casino games, promotions, and banking.
The game section is also easy to navigate as games are separated into specific sections like slots and table games. You can even conveniently sort games by their popularity and jackpot options.
DuckyLuck prioritizes functionality over showmanship. I did not have any issues using the site, but I did not find it memorable, either. The deeper you go into the site, the harder it is to identify a theme.

DuckyLuck Casino Games

DuckyLuck offers a decent amount of slots games, jackpots, and video poker options. Really the only area that was a bit lacking was the table games section, but the core options were not too bad.
More specifically, there are 433 slot games available, many of which can be played for free. It offers a good selection of video poker and specialty games. There is even a live dealer game section with blackjack, roulette, and baccarat available.
Each game at DuckyLuck has a helpful information section that describes the game. Players can also rate the game and share comments about their playing experience.
One area that DuckyLuck could improve is its table games section. It lacks video baccarat, craps, and other popular games.
Casino Game Providers:
I really enjoyed the fact that DuckyLuck Casino uses a variety of reputable and trusted online casino game providers. Here are some of the big names that this online casino uses to provide its customers with good, quality gaming:
  • Rival Gaming
  • Betsoft Gaming
  • Spinomenal
  • Saucify
  • Arrow’s Edge
  • Fugaso
  • Felix Gaming
  • Tom Horn Gaming
  • Dragon Gaming
  • Fresh Deck Studios
  • Qora Gaming

Slot Games

DuckyLuck had 433 slot games available at the time of my review. I liked that I could sort games by developer, jackpots, and popularity.
There are 39 slot games that feature progressive jackpots. DuckyLuck has slot games from eight different developers including Rival Gaming and BetSoft.

Table Games

DuckyLuck’s table game section only includes nine games. Of those nine games, seven of them are either roulette or blackjack games. Most of the table games available were developed by Rival Gaming.

Video Poker

I found 14 video poker games during my review of DuckyLuck Casino. Games from developer Rival Gaming once again dominate this section.
There single and multi-hand versions of most games. You are even able to test the games in demo modes before committing any money to them.

Specialty Games

I was impressed by DuckyLuck’s selection of specialty games. There are 19 games available in the “Casual Games” section, which is more than you normally see at online casinos. El Royale Casino, for instance, only has three games in its specialty games section.
The selection of games is varied as well. DuckyLuck offers keno, bingo, and Teen Patti. Teen Patti is a three-card poker game that is popular in South Asia. There are also seven different options for scratch cards available.

Live Dealer

One of the few areas of DuckyLuck that you cannot access without an account is the live dealer casino. This area is provided through Fresh Deck studios. At the time of review, there were 14 live tables available, although this may increase during peak hours. Only paid games are available in this part of the site. Betting limits range from as low as $0.50 to as high as $12,500. There are three categories of games including:
  • Roulette
  • Blackjack
  • Baccarat

Mobile Experience

I was able to access DuckyLuck from my Android phone without having to download any software. The site is also accessible from iOS and Windows devices as well. You can access every game, including live dealer options, from your mobile device.
DuckyLuck.ag does not have an app. All you need to do to get started is open the site in your mobile browser with a stable internet connection.
I did not experience many issues when playing from my phone. Some games took longer to load, but that was the only negative I noticed. The rest of the site worked as well on my phone as it did on my computer.

DuckyLuck Bonuses & Promotions

DuckyLuck does not offer much in the way of typical casino bonuses. There is only one welcome bonus option. Other top sites, like Las Atlantis Casino, have multiple welcome offers for new members to choose from.
The bonuses that DuckyLuck does offer are good. Both the welcome bonuses and the cryptocurrency deposit match offer 500% or more in bonus funds. I did not like that the bonuses had 30x and 40x rollover requirements, respectively.
DuckyLuck also has a rewards program. Existing players need to use the rewards program if they want to earn extra rewards. Otherwise, your opportunities to gain extra funds will be few and far between.

500% Welcome Bonus + 150 Free Spins

This is the welcome bonus that is available to all new players. New players must make an initial deposit of at least $25 to be eligible for this bonus.
  • 500% Deposit Match up to $2,500
  • Eligible Games:Casino games (No Live Dealer,Craps or Progressives)
  • Minimum Deposit:$25
  • Maximum Deposit:$500
  • Rollover Requirements:30X Deposit + Bonus
  • Maximum Cashout:10x Deposit

600% Match Bonus: Crypto Payment Methods

Bettors using crypto to make their deposit can get an exclusive bonus. This welcome bonus offers players a higher deposit match percentage. I was disappointed to see that it does not offer players free spins, though.
  • 600% Deposit Match:Preferred Payment Methods, ONLY Deposits
  • Eligible Games:Casino games (No Live Dealer,Craps or Progressives)
  • Minimum Deposit:$25
  • Maximum Deposit:$500
  • Rollover Requirements: 40X Deposit + Bonus
  • Maximum Cashout:10x Deposit

Not only can players earn cash by referring friends to DuckyLuck, but they can also get some free chips in the process as well. Both you and the person you refer will get a bonus with this promotional offer.
  • Earn $100 once referral makes an initial deposit of $25 or more
  • Referral deposit of $25 – $50:$25 free chip
  • Referral deposit of $51 – $100:$50 free chip
  • Referral deposit of $101 or more:$100 free chip
  • Rollover Requirement (Free Chip):50X the bonus
  • Max Cashout:5X the bonus
  • Bonus amount of $25:maximum withdrawal amount of $250
  • Bonus amount is $50:maximum withdrawal amount of $500
  • Bonus amount is $100:maximum withdrawal amount of $500
  • Rollover Requirements:30X

Rewards Program

Players are automatically enrolled in the DuckyBucks Rewards program. Players earn a Level Point for every $20 they deposit. Crypto players get a few more perks. You receive 10% daily cashback on all your crypot deposits, along with faster payouts, lower rates and fees.
Progressing through the DuckyBucks Rewards levels will unlock improved rewards. For instance, everyone has access to the 5% Daily Cashback bonus. But, only Golden Goose level members can get a 395% Daily Reloading bonus.
Below are the various levels of DuckyLuck’s rewards program.

DuckyLuck Social Contests

DuckyLuck offers social contests which isn’t something we see at many other online casinos. By following them on social media, you’ll be first to know when the contests go live. They are usually set to a certain day of the week, and rely on you pausing a video on a specific image. If you pause the video on the winning image and post a screenshot in the comments, you’ll win 25 free spins for the given slot. You’ll find these contests across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, so it’s worth giving this casino a follow!

Banking Options at DuckyLuck Casino

I was happy to see that DuckyLuck offers 13 different deposit methods. This allows players plenty of options to choose from when making a deposit. I was less pleased to discover that DuckyLuck only has five withdrawal options.
Upon closer inspection, I found that only three methods are available for US players. Bettors in Maryland and Washington only have one withdrawal method, Bitcoin, available.
The minimum withdrawal amount for most methods is $25. Most options also have a maximum withdrawal amount between $150 and $2,500.

DuckyLuck Deposit Methods

The strength of DuckyLuck’s banking methods lies in its deposit options. There are 13 methods to choose from, but some are only available in specific regions.

DuckyLuck Payout Methods
The payout methods at DuckyLuck are more limited compared to the depositing options. This is one area where I feel this casino misses the mark. Increasing the withdrawal options would make it easier for players to enjoy their winnings.
I was also disappointed to see that withdrawal times depend on your VIP level. Standard players may have to way up to 120 hours to receive funds. VIP Crypto high rollers on the other hand can receive their funds within 48 hours.

DuckyLuck Customer Support

DuckyLuck only offers two options for contacting customer support. Players can use the live chat feature to speak to a representative. Or you can send an email to customer support.
  • Live Chat. This option is available 24/7 and there is a small speech bubble icon at the bottom right corner on every page of this online casino. Simply click on the icon and get in touch with a customer service representative.
  • On-Site Contact Form. This option is in lieu of an email address. The generic contact form allows customers to write out any sort of questions, comments, or concerns and send them directly to DuckyLuck’s customer service. Customers can expect a response within 24 hours or less using this method.
  • FAQ Page. The FAQ page can be accessed at the bottom of every page under the “More Info” section. DuckyLuck’s FAQ page addressed a wide range of topics including banking methods, game rules, and the casino’s terms and conditions.

Safety & Security

DuckyLuck Casino requires players to verify their identity before making a withdrawal. This ensures that you are the only person taking money out of your account.
This casino is licensed by the Curacao eGaming Commission. DuckyLuck uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software to protect players’ personal information.

Final Verdict: 4/5

DuckyLuck casino has a lot to offer. Their game variety is one of their top selling points, with a good selection of slots, video poker, speciality games and a robust live dealer section.
For those who love online slot games, their library of over 400 titles from 8 different developers is a big bonus. They also offer a range of exciting bonuses and competitions ranging from social contests to rewards programmes.
DuckyLuck accepts cryptocurrency, which is a huge plus in my book. They offer a ton of rewards for crypto bettors, too, including exclusive bonuses and faster payout speeds.
I was a little disappointed by the limited payout options offered by DuckyLuck. Also, I would have liked to see more than just nine options in the table games section.
Overall, DuckyLuck provides the entertainment I’d expect from a good online casino. I give DuckyLuck four out of five stars.

2024.06.01 04:18 Quick_Journalist_954 Venting/need advice

So i technically just finished my freshman year. I knocked out about 44 credit hours, including chemistry for engineers and calculus 1 along with other lower division classes (i’m in community college). I plan on transferring to a 4 year university next spring, possibly this fall if they accept late applications but i’m not counting on that. Next semester i’m taking physics 1 and calculus 2. I feel okish about it since those are the only two classes i’ll be taking plus a required speech class.
I’m spending my summer working 50 plus hours a week in a hot dusty warehouse (i know, i’m really enjoyed my summer holiday so much i’m having a blast)
I guess i just wanna know whats in store for me. I know signals and systems, circuits, and electromagnetism will be rough. I still figure it can’t be as bad as the hours I’m pulling at the warehouse but i know I’m probably wrong.
What can I do to prepare? Are the upper division classes really as bad as they say?

2024.06.01 03:28 wonkywhiskey America is a generational experiment in semantics

All the bedrocks of the Constitution have been pieces on a chess board, waiting to be redefined, repackaged, re-normalized by a new generation primed to support these changes with open arms, gaslit into pressing the button themselves and actually taking pride in it.
Liberty does not equate to freedom, but the masses accept them as synonymous. Liberty is what they gave to prisoners on ships that were invaded. It is given to you, it is not innate. We have rebranded Liberty as Welfare.
Free Speech has been rebranded as Non-Hate Speech.
We went through a whole song and dance separating Church and State to protect religious freedom, only for it to get bastardized as some elusive undefined code of ethics. Religious doctrine that does not abide by this creed of “be kind to all people no matter what and don’t punch down” have no legal protection in reality. It’s just hate speech. “Bible got it wrong guys, let it go already”.
Gaslighting all the way down. Strategically. In 10 years all the weird recontextualizing being quietly pushed onto us in real time right now in regards to consent on the internet will start seeming like the obvious plays that they are. All about ensuring our digital footprint is not actually “ours”. Technology is a great way to force semantic gymnastics on us. Nikki Haley rolling out the idea of a Digital ID was never meant to stick. It was meant to introduce a concept to the public that they will defiantly oppose with pride, only to reluctantly accept in a few years when deepfake porn is being made of people’s daughters.
Elon is masquerading as someone who is staunchly pro humanity but history will see him as the guy who finally normalized trans-human robot hybrids, with Neurolink as the canary in the coalmine, ready to deliver billions of new data sets to the corporate mafia.
Concepts like “loan forgiveness” and “reparations” are dangerous because they insinuate a violation has occurred at some point in the past, and will finally be made right by current and future taxpayers, who have nothing to do with these violations. Semantic poison.
Is the term “reducing inflation” actually telling us what is going on with our currency? Nope it implies less inflation. What it actually means is that the inevitable race to devalue our currency to 0 has not reversed, we just extended the timeline a bit based on the last estimate.
Civic duty means tracking all these trends and considering our history so that we do not sink into complacency or manipulation by internal and external forces. I’m sure most think it means following orders for “the greater good” though. They have us right where they want us.

2024.06.01 03:15 netflixdark123 8 years ago, today, "The Day the World Went Away" (5x10) aired.

8 years ago, today,
I don't know where to start. Well, let me just start by saying that "The Day the World Went Away" is one of my all-time favorite episodes of POI and TV in general.
I love the opening shot of this episode, where Finch says that he accepted it a long time ago that he's probably going to die and asks the machine if there's a version of events where his friends that he roped into helping him get out alive. Finch isn't always too trusting, doesn't easily let people into his life, and doesn't always show his vulnerable side, but he developed a really close bond with the team, and they became sort of his family. Of course, we didn't need to see the scene to know that Finch cares about them a great deal. But it was still a really nice moment. It's little character moments like this that make POI special for me. Of course, this also leads to his cover being blown and Samaritan discovering him. Harold should have been more careful, but he had no way of knowing that the waitress would recognize him or what method Samaritan was using to discover their true identity.
Then we have the argument scene between Harold and Root about whether or not they should close the open system ("You don't name something you may have to kill") and talk about giving TM a voice, and Root says TM can choose a voice for itself, which was brilliant forshadowing for what's going to happen later in the episode.
Elias's journey also comes full circle in this episode. He was playing a teacher in the same house when his numbers first came up, and John saved him. Something that I love about POI very much is the character development of each character, be they heroes or villains. Elias was a villain at the beginning but later developed into much more of an anti-hero and helped the team on a few occasions. And he eventually gave his life to protecting Harold. Kinda fitting since Harold was the one who saved his life at the beginning of the show.
Even in the beginning, when he was playing a villain, he wasn't like any other villain and operated under a strong sense of code. The friendship between Anthony and Elias was beautiful. He also developed a great friendship with Carter, John, Harold, and Fusco. His "civilization speech" at the end of "The Devil's Share" (3×10) is so damn great and still gives me goosebumps/chills. It surely doesn't hurt that he's excellently portrayed by Enrico Colantoni.
And then there's, of course, Root. She's my favorite fictional character of all time in all of fiction.
(Thank you so much, Ramin Djawadi and Lisa Joy Nolan.)
Much like Elias, she was introduced as the villain of the week, but she later developed into a hero. She became a core member of the team. Her relationship with TM is just fascinating. She was the first person to see TM as an entity that has a consciousness and a character of its own, and as more than just a string of codes. She played an important role in humanizing TM and demonstrating to Harold that it/she was more than just an artificial intelligence. TM was his creation, infused with his moral principles and values.
Her redemption arc is one of the best I've ever seen in a TV show/movie. She goes from a person who thinks of all humans as a bad code to caring about people, forming a special relationship with Shaw and a great friendship with the rest of the team, especially with Harold. She becomes a genuine member and quite possibly the heart of the team machine in many ways.
Root admitting to Shaw that this is the first time she truly felt she belonged since she was 12 years old was very emotional.
The Day The World Went Away (5×10):
Shaw: "It'd be nice if we could go back. I guess none of us... has the life we want."
Root: "Actually Sameen, I've been hiding since I was 12. This might be the first time I feel like I belong."
The car chase scene where Root blows up the car through the sunroof while driving was awesome. I know some people don't like it because it's too much for suspension of disbelief, but I absolutely love it.
The conversation scene between Harold and Root was perfect and showed just how important Harold is to Root and that she wouldn't even think twice before sacrificing her own life if it meant saving Harold's life.
The Day The World Went Away (5×10):
Harold: "You should have left me."
Root: "Not gonna happen, Harry."
Root: "As I was saying, this is the next world, Harry. The world you built. And as long as the machine lives, we never die. Listen, I know you have apprehension about what the machine is. About what she will become. And I trust you, Harold."
Root: "I walked in darkness for a very long time until you guided me to light. And I wouldn't change any of it. But we're not going to win this way. And we can't afford to lose. When the time comes, you'll know what to do. And I know this is an ugliness you never wanted, but sometimes you have to fight a little."
Talking about metaphysics in the middle of an intense car chase scene is also a very root-like thing to do.
The way Root and Harold's friendship evolved over the course of show is also fantastic. Harold goes from a person who couldn't stand Root when he first met her to considering her a great friend and deeply caring about her.
Bad Code (2x02):
Root: "I am the best friend, the best support, the best partner you will ever have. And definitely the most fun."
Harold: "No. You're worse than Weeks. You're worse than all of them. I'd rather die than give you the machine, so please kill me now. At least I won't have to listen to you anymore."
Prophets (4x05):
Harold: "We have more to look forward to than death."
Root: "I hope so. But the life I've led, a good end would be a privilege."
Harold: "It's not where you begin, it's where you end up. You're a brilliant woman, comrade... and a friend."
You can see how her death had a very profound and lasting impact on the team members, especially Harold and Shaw. And even on TM itself.
Synecdoche (5×11)
TM: "I watched her die 12,483 times in the seconds before she expired. I couldn't save her but I kept trying. You can't conceive of my grief because you can't experience it like I do. but it's there."
Synecdoche (5×11)
Harold: "Although, I've made another choice of sorts regarding your voice."
TM: "And what did you decide?"
Harold: "In life, Root was your conduit, so despite my best reservations, it seems only appropriate that she continued in that fashion. And I must admit, her's is the voice that I miss deeply."
TM: "Aww, Harry. You sure know how to make a girl feel special."
Harold's "my rules" monologue was just brilliant and fantastically performed and delivered by Michael Emerson. The scene where the phone rings and Harold picks it up, hearing Root's voice and thinking that Root is alive, only to find out that TM chose Root's voice, was an emotional gut punch.
TM Root: Can you hear me?
Harold: Root?
TM Root: No, Harold. I chose a voice.
Amy Acker is just so damn brilliant and talented on so many levels.
I've heard some people say that Shaw's reaction to Root's death was kinda underwhelming and that the reaction should have been more extreme or something along those lines (can't remember exactly). But I think Shaw's reaction was perfect and very well done, given her Axis II Personality Disorder condition. If you look closely, you can clearly still see little drops of tears flowing on her face.
Sarah Shahi nailed that scene really very well without overdoing it, IMO.
I also love the fact that John and she didn't even have to exchange words, and she knew right away that Root was dead just from the facial expression.
And as always the music choices ("The Day The World Went Away" by "Nine Inch Nails" and "New Dawn Fades" by "Moby") were perfect. POI simply never disappoints when it comes to the use of licensed music.
Okay, this ended up being a lot longer than I originally thought, but I didn't want my first post on this subreddit to be just some images from the show.
So, what are your favorite moments this episode?

2024.06.01 03:05 00Deege Using a CBC to determine UTI status in geriatric patients

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to answer this as it applies to a loved one. I greatly appreciate it.
How reliable is using a serum WBC count to determine the absence or presence of a UTI in a geriatric patient? I know it’s not ideal, but in situations where obtaining a clean urine sample proves difficult is the possibility of a normal WBC count and a consequently undetected UTI significant?
Medical profile below per subreddit rules.
71F, Caucasian, 5’6” and 130lbs, former smoker. Hx: COPD, CAD, HTN, Hyperlipidemia, Hypothyroidism, Seizure Disorder, MI (recent), Chronic UTIs. Rx’s: Oxycodone, Alprazolam, Levetiracetam, Levothyroxine, Albuterol HFA, another inhaler for COPD (can’t remember name).
Additional Context: Had an MI 3 weeks ago and is now on Palliative Care in LTC facility. Was on more meds including Eliquis, now only on meds for comfort. Frequent UTIs over the last few years - reliably has one every 2 wks to 2 months. Primary sign of these UTIs is confusion.
Confusion began 6 days ago. Family requested UTI check. Unable to obtain clean sample as she is bed-bound and often incontinent. On day 4-5 CBC drawn. WBCs normal. Provider deemed no UTI present and attributed changes to life end-stage.
If this is indeed end-stage related I’m okay with and can accept that. My concern is not knowing how possible/likely a UTI without serum WBC elevation is. I do not want her last days to be confusion and fear due to something easily remedied.
Again, thank you.

IDN Network is an app for Professional Private Drivers.
This was just released a few days ago on their official Telegram channel! (Find the link under the support menu in the driver app).
I've been following this project, hoping to free Uber drivers from their current constraints, and it looks amazing! Expect to see these updates on the app next week, as they usually preview features a week before implementation.

If you ever are scammed, money sent through paypal, venmo, cashapp, zelle etc almost always ends up in a bank account that can be traced. There is some level of accountability.
