2024.06.01 13:30 AutoModerator Dangerous legal precedent about to be set if my eviction appeal is not granted

Tens of thousands of South Carolina mobile homeowners manufactured before 1976 & renting the land it sits upon, can be legally evicted without cause if the Appellate court upholds the verdict of my eviction based solely upon the wording of the 30-day notice of the end of the term of their expired lease agreement.
Many, if not most renters of land in a mobile home park, have leases for one year, which likely have never been renewed from year to year, as the law states.
If my case is not dismissed, it will become 'case law', which can then be used by any greedy, unscrupulous landowner who wants to own your home to evict you and take possession of your home, whether there exists no cause or reason for the eviction.

2024.06.01 11:45 Polishman001 Game Changing Corporate News Lights a Fire Under Sharps Technology, Inc. ($STSS)

STSS started the week trading at $0.19 and popped to $0.78 on VERY HIGH trading volume and is consolidating around $038. At a $6 million market cap and substantial revenue potential starting in twelve months, there will be a much larger investor audience monitoring this one for more corporate news.
STSS is a medical device and pharmaceutical packaging company offering patented, best-in-class syringe products, is off its 52 week lows after this game-changing news just announced:
STSS announced the signing of a 5-year, $200 million syringe Sales Agreement (SA) with Nephron Pharmaceuticals in tandem with the Company’s Asset Purchase Agreement (APA) to acquire the InjectEZ specialty syringe manufacturing assets in West Columbia, South Carolina. The facility will be the only fully dedicated, specialized COC (cyclic olefin copolymer) prefillable syringe manufacturing plant in North America.
In concert with the proposed acquisition of the syringe facility, Nephron has agreed to a 5-year agreement to purchase Sharps’ next-generation copolymer prefillable 10 mL and 50 mL syringes, as well as 10 mL SoloGard polypropylene syringes, with minimum contracted orders of over $200 million during the period. Sharps is planning for product deliveries to begin late in the second quarter of 2025 with revenue expected to total more than $35 million for the first twelve months of sales.

2024.06.01 11:45 Affectionate-Pomelo2 22 [M4F] #Georgia #South Carolina #Online #Anywhere - Looking for a Friend/Gaming Buddy and Open to more

Hey there! M22 here, straddling the border between SC and GA, but I'm open to connecting from anywhere. I'm all about Anime, Gaming, Cooking (Comfort Food fs), and diving into creative projects. When I'm not hitting the gym, you'll find me headbanging to Metal or exploring various music genres (though Rock, Metal and various Anime OP/EDs and Gaming OSTs are in my top picks as well as some mash ups too).
Currently pursuing a Cyber Security degree, and yeah, I still built my Gaming PC yet (Embarrassing I know). Work/School balance is tough, but genuine connections are worth it. Not shy about NSFW topics, but lets feel out the vibes first.
If you're into nerding out over gaming or anime, let's chat! I play on PS5, Xbox, Switch, and Steam Deck – let's kick back, nerd out, and grind it out together! (No, not that kind of grind, XD)
Scroll down for my gaming and anime list!"

2024.06.01 11:31 Inevitable-Growth145 Probably the things I’m most excited for

Probably the things I’m most excited for
Firstly the passing I like what the did with the free form added this recent madden but I really like what they are doing in this game. Because I play fifa I enjoy how free and open the passing is. It’s basically what they did with this.
The second one speaks for itself haha
But last and most important the crowd I’ve always wished the crowd would go crazy at the right times I’ve been saying this for years tbh. And the ability to make them go crazy w the right stick I missed that feature, but it seems like they have expanded on it to make it even better. Idk if you guys have seen the leak where they recreated penn stares mo bamba against Michigan but I’m picking penn state w my dynasty w my friends haha or South Carolina for sandstorm

2024.06.01 07:38 Pretty_Fishing_8243 QUACK GRASS, the only plant that will survive 6 nuclear holocausts, 3 asteroid collisions and a super volcano eruption. Stress less dear cockroaches you will have quackgrass.

QUACK GRASS, the only plant that will survive 6 nuclear holocausts, 3 asteroid collisions and a super volcano eruption. Stress less dear cockroaches you will have quackgrass.
Quack grass. I had no idea what the hell it was until I moved to south carolina. If an atomic bomb went off and decimated all life quack grass and cockroaches would survive, no doubt about it. Quack grass is the biggest pain in the ass I have ever encountered...well bamboo would be a close 2nd.
Quack grass looks like this ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️. There is next to nothing you can do to get rid of it. If it hides underneath rocks or bricks or edging. My friend bought a home that was easily neglected for 20 years the quackgrasd was so thick with the runners and rhizomes that when we got it I'm a four foot strip by 9 inches wide it was nearly a hardened 10 inches thick and weighed around 45 pounds.
You can't simply pull it out. Don't do it don't do it. This requires an art and even this has error. I found that if any piece particle or molecule of this plant is left behind it just spawns another assh*le plant. These plants also have a throwing arm. It grows a branch off of its main body long loooooong arm, grows easily a foot in one day and it will pitch itself into a garden bed eventually landing on the ground. Then it's little hell spawn easily take out their concrete jack roots and have no problem compromising the hardest pickaxe like soil. The driest part of my yard robbed of due to the property water that strips this area of the nutrients the other parts enjoy, is no problem for quack grass. Hydrophobic soil on this end of my yard not too lousy for the population of this parasite.
So there has been only two ways to kill this sucker that I have been able to find. It has been years in the making. Trying out different methods and there are only small periods of time when it works. These plants adore the hottest places of your yard. The black stepping stones or bricks in the boundary. Stepping stones. Concrete patio pads. Underneath sidewalks. It will burrow under these things and develop its root system underneath. It seems to be its preference. It enjoys 6 or more hours of sunlight. It's roots grow horizontally but also vertically. The vertical roots look jagged and zig zag enhancing their ability to be broken into zombie particles that grow many from the pieces.they have little cross wires that sprout up multiple plants. They go deep and wide and you just can't extract them.. impossible.
So I got a flame thrower and a propane tank..its not a flame thrower but it has a long shift with a fitting that blows fire out of its tip. People in the last few years in appropriate areas with ample rain (not in fire prone areas) and using tons of precautionary measures taken yoy take yoyr torch and you can essentially cook them alive. After a week it will die like it does for winter months. This is when you dig the soil up around it flip the soil and you burn the under side also the cavity where the soil was extracted. Then wait two weeks. Do this same treatment for any emerging ones and repeat. When you are satisfied the next plan of attack is to get a kill all. Saturate this plant at highest sun, during the day on especially hot days. Saturate them. Try to be careful to not afflict the neighboring plant life. Kill all works by saturating the exposed parts these go into the plants cells and stops them from being able to absorb water and nutrients. Even so I have seen some think themselves into existence..
You could remove the soil down to 16 inches in the area they have been spotted and if any cement or bricks heat absorbing material is around dig it up and set aside..it loves rocks.. you get rid of this dirt. Comdem it. Or solar sanitize the dirt..put it in wet black garbage bag for an entire.summer in the hot sun. I'd triple bag it because these weeds are survivors. I would also use a junk cake pan to cook the soil over a bonfire for a few minutes. Larger piece of metal will work to stream lime the process. Male sure the center if the soil reaches 220 degrees. Adding water to the soil will definitely going to aid in steaming it dead don't saturate but squirt bottle wetting while it is cooking .them.you want to screen the soil. Get any parts out of the soil and throw in burn barrel or fire pit.
The best method also kills your lawn grass but has really controlled the problem..I used kill all and before it could really emerge I saturated it and the area surrounding it with kill all. I sprayed any area I could remember it being.. it went down by 80% yet it has those underground channels and arms so it doesn't always afflict the entire plant. A surfactant ingredient (make sure it is safe to do so with your specific product) surfactants emulsify the poision and they adhere more to the plant..where it runs into the ground or evaporates quickly. Adding a surfactant can keep that demon weed choked out a little longer.
Does anyone else have any success with this terror? I'd take a lawn of regular bushy crabgrass over this any day. A lawn of dandelions would be a godsend over any of this type of parasitic grass. I wonder if taking a tazer to the plant would kill it. I mean it is worth a try no? This weed can be cooked by a torch flame thrower burned to a crisp, the soil underneath can be cooked to a good 375 degrees in a matter of seconds, and by some ungodly supernatural miracle from hell this weed can will itself into existence off of a parboiled sandgrain particle of itself. I dare say I found something besides a tumor that can be of organic biological materials that doesn't really die? It's top bad it isn't a delicious food that could be sent to the most barren and inhospitable locations on the planet where people are starving to death and we could change their lives with this plant.
Quack grass will be one of those plants that will be one of the major considerations before buying my next house. That is just how bad it is. I bet if it grows along the foundation of a home it is also doing damage to the foundation. This is almost like the habit of the plant, it's very nature is to find the fractures and weak spots and overgrow and stuff as many roots as possible through it until it crumbles.
I haven't seen much in terms of experimentation with this parasite plant but I imagine there are a lot of qualities that could be exploited for our benefit. I donr know it's full range but there are qualities of this plant that could help on a lot of applications. Erosion, it would be more than ideal it has almost a rebar kind of root system and it just keeps sending.more and more roots along these pathways. Nit breaking u9 the soil but holding it in place. It is the ugliest looking plant there has wver been.
Any ideas on what I could do? The spring poisioning worked better than anything this far. The burning seems to have eliminated new emergent particles I will know more as the time.goes on.
Any experts on this type of quack grass? Can i kill it without killing the good plants or good grass?

2024.06.01 06:05 JoeDirtBuffett My 94 year old Grandma left us this bio she wrote during Covid.

“She Made the Salad”
Memoirs of Kathryn Robinson Knight
Dedicated to her Descendants
Summer of 2020
My mom and dad were married after he returned to Auburn following the First World War. Dad’s official name was Carey Carslile Robinson, but we called him “Cackey.” He was an Army First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Infantry at the time. He referred to himself as a foot soldier and always kept his service in the Reserves up to date and remained on inactive duty.
Cackey’s first job was Line Coach at Auburn. He and my mom “ran away” after the GA Tech – Auburn game in Atlanta. She was eighteen; he was twenty-four years old. (This is the story I was told, but the dates may be off!)
After his football career, my father was Athletic Director at Mercer University in Macon, GA. My sister, Suzanne, was born there in 1924. He was later Athletic Director at Birmingham Southern, which is where I was born in 1930.
Our family later moved sixty miles to Alexander City, where Dad bought the Ford franchise car dealership. My mother’s family had the same business in Opelika; my dad’s brothers had a franchise in Kansas. So, we have always been in the car business – General Motors, Chrysler, Cadillac, etc.
It was in “Alex City” that I started school and also began dance instruction in 1935. In 1940 my dad was recalled to active duty and was promoted to Captain and sent to Columbia, SC, where Fort Jackson is located – U.S. Artillery Headquarters.
War was anticipated, and Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941. “A day that will live in infamy.” My dad was Provost Marshall (Head of Military Police.) In 1940 there were 10,000 soldiers at Camp Jackson. After 1941, the numbers grew to 75,000 men almost overnight.
What an experience for an eleven-year-old! So many things changed during those three and a half years of war time. It reminds me of the current craziness of today’s world.
Fort Jackson was visited by so many top security people, from President Roosevelt to Churchill and all the generals who came to see the troops in review. My family was allowed to see all this because of my dad’s job. Not many people had this experience.
Many famous people came to entertain the troops, which we also got to see. Entertainers included some of the 40’s greats such as Bob Hope, Tommy Dorsey, Bing Crosby, and Benny Goodman. America at War is something I will never forget! It was in Columbia that I got my very best dance training.
In 1945 we were transferred to Fort Benning, GA. My dad was a Major by then and with the Infantry School at Benning. This was a beautiful place to live! Two historic events took place there. First, when President Roosevelt died in Warm Springs, GA, his body was taken there. His sendoff by train to Washington, DC, was full of pomp and circumstance. Also, a mass celebration occurred at the end of World War II.
In 1947 my father was transferred to Pratt General Hospital in Coral Gables, FL, due to a medical emergency – ruptured gall bladder. Dad, a Lieutenant Colonel by then, retired at that time. My parents decided to stay in Miami Beach until I finished high school in 1948. My last two years were at Miami Senior High.
I went to Florida State University for my freshman year of college, and pledge Delta Delta Delta social sorority. The chapter in Gainesville was new and needed older chapter members to help get it established.
The National Traveling Secretary wanted chapter members from Stetson, University of Miami, and FSU to transfer to UF. There were about ten of us from other schools who agreed to do this, so I transferred to the University of Florida for the remaining years of my college education.
Our group was very close and worked hard for Tri Delt. It was great fun! Our reward was to be allowed to live in the sorority house. Not often is that privilege extended to sophomores.
I majored in elementary education. Dance classes were always part of my life – on the university level and in private studio classes. This was true in both Tallahassee and Gainesville. At that time there was no dance major – too bad!
“Dancing with the Stars”
I started dance in Alexander City at age five and was always involved in a dance program during all of my school years. In Columbia, SC, my serious ballet training began. From ages eleven to fifteen, “class” was every day, and I was a “studio rat” – a group of kids who were always at the studio.
The Foster School of Dance had many students and adults who were members of the Carolina Ballet Company (the regional ballet company.) I was a junior member. Mrs. Foster took three of us to New York during the summer for two years. It was great training and a wonderful experience.
As an Army “brat,” we moved to Fort Benning, and I studied in Columbus, GA. I took dance on weekends in Atlanta. It was at this time that I met Mrs. Dorothy Alexander as a teacher. She later became Artistic Director of the Atlanta Civic Ballet Company. This is still an outstanding company!
They came to Orlando periodically, and I always loved to see them. Later, in Miami, I also found a great teacher. The love of dance never ends.
“Don’t Tell Mom!”
After college, when I married Gordon Oldham in Opelika, AL, and moved to Leesburg in 1952, my dance was put on hold while I raised a family. I managed to substitute teach in Leesburg at Helen St. John’s Studio at Lake Sumter Community College for continuing education classes.
The years spent raising my family will always be remembered as the very best! Raising my three children – Gordon, John, and Carey – was and always will be the greatest joy of my life. All three of my children are Gators now.
During these years I did all the things that were important to life in Leesburg: Junior Women’s Club, Triangle Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Garden Club, and – always – St. James Episcopal Church work.
In later years, I became involved with Women for Hospice, Heritage Society, LSCC Foundation Board, and the Performing Arts programs. I also assisted Lifestream with social dances for the mental health center.
I was divorced in 1977. In 1978, I married Art Knight (a Seminole!) and acquired another son – Arthur - also a Seminole. That same year I fulfilled a lifelong dream and opened the Kathryn Knight School of Dance studio. The next sixteen years were devoted to teaching many children the love and joy of dance.
Art and I enjoyed living part time in the mountains of Maggie Valley in North Carolina until his death in 2011. We were able to achieve many of our dreams and scratch lots of items off our bucket lists. These included traveling to Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, and my favorite – St. Petersburg, Russia. I was fortunate to attend the ballet Giselle while there, an experience I will always treasure.
Our greatest pleasures came from our ten grandchildren. I now have four great-grandchildren and hopefully anticipate more. I am a three-time cancer survivor and am grateful for each and every day of my life.

Shipping an Egg
Hello all! My father was a BGE man for virtually my whole life. I remember him being up all hours of the night controlling the temperature while smoking brisket. He passed on back in 2020 and I’d love to learn his ways on the smoker to start a tradition that maybe my kids will be able to continue as well. I’ve thought about buying an egg forever but since his passing I really want to learn on one of his. They’re located in South Carolina and I’m in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The quote I just got from a ups affiliate was just over $1400. Does anyone have any bit of advice as to how I can get one of his BGE’s from SC to WI without being wildly financially irresponsible?
Here’s a picture of me and him. He was one of the best.

https://reddit.com/link/1d5e5if/video/yolvilrutv3d1/player
I found this lil thing moving across my porch - I saw one nude leg or antenna, but the most interesting thing is when I flipped it over, the underside was furled like the shape of a conch shell and was opening and closing. I am so! stumped! The underside was the same color - at first I thought it was an ant carrying food or plant material but it seemed to be one consistent unit of a bug? Is this a growth on something? What IS THIS?! Beaufort, SC.

2024.06.01 03:52 Elemntalpain Trying to identify a host of pantry invaders

Trying to identify a host of pantry invaders
These guys showed up in my pantry one day and I am not confident where they came from, but I believe they arrived in a case of sparking ice I bought from Sam's Club, South Carolina.
It was a plastic bundle like this. Found dozens of them dead in the bottom of the case.
Over the past 6 months of having them the pest control service I use has been unable to identify them and they have proven difficult to exterminate. I have only found them in the crystal ice case and some bags of garbanzo, black, red, and pinto beans. They like tight places and seem to mostly hang around in the gap between my floorboard trim and floor. They are a light brown color with black spots, about the size of a pinhead, 6 legs, and have a limited ability to fly.
Please help me eliminate this pest! I've vacuumed hundreds and their numbers die down (I see less randomly walking around the house on walls and ceiling), but always come back...

Sorry for the pictures quality, they are about the size of a pinhead and camera doesn't have a macro lens. If I need to get better pictures I can try to figure something out.
