2024.05.31 20:11 hs2508 On limiting beliefs and getting out of my own head
This might be a long one, so strap in!
I've been familiar with the law for several years now, and have had lots of successes (small and large), but I must admit it is still a work in progress for me.
What I am realising is that manifestations come easily when the stakes are low, or when I can easily conceive of them appearing in my reality. Things that seem beyond the realm of possibility are challenges, and we must adjust our approach appropriately.
Some of my successes: * I often test the law while driving because I'm on my own and thinking clearly. Regularly tell myself, 'I'll see a fox on this drive' for example, usually these things appear within minutes. * Was walking the dog with my mum and realised I'd forgotten a poo bag, was like 'Ah I could really use one' but didn't sweat it. Not a few minutes later a new, clean poo bag was on the path ahead of us. * If I have time before work I sit in the car and affirm in my mirror about how the day is going to go. Things like nice customers and good tips. I've noticed that when I decide the day will go well, my tips tend to double. * Needed an extra £70 to cover a missed day of work, simply affirmed that I had the money and forgot about it. A few weeks later we did a training day at work with a cosmetics brand representative and there was a quiz at the end. I won the quiz, and the prize was a £75 bottle of perfume. * I can pretty much just choose when I receive texts from my friends. I just visualise them replying and they do.
Note that with all of these examples, the stakes were relatively low. I tend to think of something and then forget about it, or the manifestation appears from beliefs that my brain already accepts. There is no limiting belief to suppose I cannot see a fox, or have a good day at work, or get an extra £70. Limiting beliefs are worst when the event seems outside the realm of possibility.
This brings me to my last relationship, perhaps my greatest manifestation success to date:
When I met my ex partner we started seeing each other casually, but he was adamant that he would never be in a relationship again and had no interest in commitment. I think it was pure delusion to be honest, but I simply decided he would be mine and within four months we were in a real relationship.
This same partner broke up with me after we had been dating for two years. For me it came totally out of the blue, but in hindsight there were a lot of factors which hadn't been working. One was that he was adamant he would never want to get married and have kids, and that he would always want to stay in the city we lived in then, while I wanted the opposite.
A few days after our breakup I was staying with my parents and spending a lot of time reading Neville. I managed to develop a super steadfast belief that he would be back. I think it came from a place of spite to be honest. I became super busy with work after that, but I remained steadfast in the belief that he would return. My mental diet was STRONG.
Let me tell you, when he came back he came CRAWLING, saying he wanted to get married and have kids, that he would move anywhere I wanted to, that he was distancing from old friends that I didn't like, he even asked if I had used witchcraft on him (I had not).
One thing that I think is particularly funny is that directly after our breakup I listened a lot to Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac (lol) while thinking about him and believing he would come back. At one point when we reconciled he told me that he'd had that song stuck in his head after our breakup, that he had felt like it was me calling him back. This actually really freaked me out.
Now, this relationship didn't work out and I easily manifested him back out of my life again. That said, the belief that this man is obsessed with me has become so rooted in my brain that I can't seem to worm it out, and like clockwork he will reappear, even when I don't really want him to. Most recently he called me out of the blue last week. The belief that he is obsessed is simply lodged within me now.
When I look back on all the manifesting I did in that relationship I am very proud of how I overcame those limiting beliefs. I think it came at a time where my identity felt quite malleable, so adopting new beliefs came fairly naturally. Imprinting on my subconscious felt easy then. But it isn't coming so naturally anymore...
I'm trying to manifest someone else right now, and the circumstances are unusual, to say the least. This person is a sibling of a close friend of mine, and we have known each other for eight years. I have always had a thing for him. SIDENOTE: I was deleting old screenshots earlier this week and found a dm exchange with this friend from 4 YEARS AGO!! where we joked about me dating her brother.
On Christmas my friend messaged me to say her brother was talking about me at their family dinner (which came completely out of the blue - so unexpected) and a few minutes later he sent me a Facebook request. The whole thing freaked me out because I had wanted him for SO LONG. Anyway, cut to a few weeks ago, I checked Hinge to find a message from him, 'It's you!!'. Reader, I was gobsmacked. We exchange messages, both of us ask my friend if she thinks it's ok, she says she's fine with it. We go on a few dates, it's pretty steamy.
For a while he messages everyday to share random stuff, details from his day at work, arbitrary things really. He told me stuff that I know his family don't know about him. It seemed he was starting to catch feelings. Things look to be going really well, then he went silent. Out of the blue. I asked what's up. He replies, very sweetly, to say that he isn't sure we can go further, that it's weird I'm his sister's friend, and that he's not sure we really 'click'. Mind you, this comes after weeks of back and forth messaging, totally matching each other's energy. I suspect there might different reasons for his distance, but that is by the by.
Now, unlike with my ex, I am really struggling to overcome the circumstances here. My subconscious is having a hard time moving beyond (what are, admittedly) the unconventional circumstances and specificities of this situation. It isn't helpful either that there are multiple parties involved in the situation (my friend, her brother, we know each other's families etc). It's so easy to persist through a clear-cut breakup, or getting a crush to message you, but I feel like I've been really challenged by this situation.
I know I need to persist, decide that circumstances don't matter and revise all the stuff that was said in our last few conversations, but I think it's so interesting when we come up against a mental wall of limiting beliefs. The mind can be so incredibly comfortable in these limiting loops. If we stop practicing the law for a while (I was single for much of the past year and slacked on self concept and mental diet) the muscle naturally weakens and needs to be strengthened again.
At the moment I'm trying to be super purposeful about how I manifest, getting stricter on the mental diet, no longer talking to others about it, deciding upon what to affirm and sticking to it. It's like an exercise, like I'm strengthening the muscle again.

You would be starting at level 5.. The plot- you are a group of 5 that were brought together over a mutual ownership of 5 different dragon medallions. This medallions were giving to you at birth by a family member. It always seems to be in ur possession even when set down and left. You each kept it a secret until you hears rumors someone had a similar one. Eventually the group found each other and decided to search out what the medallions could mean. It lead to the group taking a boat to a land called Idris. Where the soon learned that someone may be looking for the medallions...
This is a completely homebrew world and story. It follows 5e rules, but I will add some and change a few due to story elements. Homebrew characters accepted just have to tell me about it.

Hello I read Punch drunk love a while back and I loved it but I'm curious does anyone have any recommendations that show a uke/seme who is perceived as ugly then takes off his glasses and become attractive to everyone?? Or something along those lines, like maybe they changed their clothing or used contacts. I dunno but something along the lines of "I'm ugly to everyone" until I do this, then I become attractive. I guess love gym or who can define popularity are some, but I didn't mean like worked out and became hot. I mean, it's already hot, but there's just something that makes them ugly to everyone. Sorry this is soo long winded but I'd truly appreciate your help!

2024.05.30 21:18 starrynight5626 My mom passed away 2 weeks ago. I was relieved but I also miss talking to her every day.
My mom (91) had been up and down over the past few months and we finally let her go in hospice 2 weeks ago. It was a huge relief for me as I had been stressed everyday wondering if she would answer the phone (I live out of state) and if she would sound ok when she did.
I am glad the stress is gone and that she isn't suffering anymore. I would call her almost everyday because she expected me to. There were times when I was so busy with other stuff that I got irritated that I had to call her and talk about not much. She would always give me the Super Quiz from the newspaper and ask me to help out on the daily crossword. I would get irritated with that and that I'd spend 30 minutes on the phone basically doing the entire crossword with her. But now I find myself wanting to tell her about something that happened and realize that I can't.
Yesterday when I was walking this squirrel literally walked right up to me. Squirrels usually just turn and run when they see someone. I thought to myself "I'll have to tell mom that when I talk to her" but then realized I won't be talking to her. Something so mundane but something that she'd probably get a kick out of.
