2024.06.01 13:07 madrasi2021 AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) Resources

Every single day there is a question from someone here saying "where do I start for AWS Solutions Architect Associate" when there are a few hundred articles from those who passed already.
So here is a master list of resources to help those who have this question.
Cloud Practitioner version of this is here
If you find this post useful - upvote. I am happy to take feedback / suggestions / changes etc - please comment!

tl;dr

  1. Get 1 video course and watch it end to end - the subreddit favourites are below / scroll down further for links
    • I cannot afford any courses / need a free option - get Andrew Brown's YouTube course
    • I want to just learn bare minimum to pass exam - Stephane Maarek on Udemy
    • I really want to learn this AWS and cloud stuff well and be good at it - Adrian Cantrill
  2. Read whitepapers / review new announcements from re:Invent 2023
  3. Do one decent set of practice exams from one provider- subreddit favourites below / scroll down further for links
    • Tutorialsdojo (personal favourite - I passed ALL my exams using "TD")
    • Udemy (Stephane Maarek)
Take and Pass exam!

Subreddit Search

Following my own usual guidance, you can always use the subreddit search feature and read articles from everyone in the last month who posted about this exam / passed it. There is a wealth of detail / experience here to learn from :
Link : https://www.reddit.com/AWSCertifications/search/?q=saa+solutions+architect+associate+pass&type=link&t=month

Exam Details

If you have absolutely no clue about the exam - start here.
The exam code is SAA-C03
AWS page with all the details : https://aws.amazon.com/certification/certified-solutions-architect-associate/
Always read the Exam Guide (tells you whats in / out of scope) : https://d1.awsstatic.com/training-and-certification/docs-sa-assoc/AWS-Certified-Solutions-Architect-Associate_Exam-Guide.pdf

Minimum Viable Path to Certification

Most people usually need 3 things to pass the exam
  1. A single video based course introducing AWS and all the key exam topics
Typically these are courses where someone reads from some slides, shows you the AWS console and how to use it and then gives you tips on what to remember - there are free and paid versions of these.
  1. Additional material on key topics.
For SAA-C03 - there are some recommended whitepapers on WAF and also since 6 months have passed since the last re:Invent 2023 - any of the major announcements from then now are in scope for the exam. You wont see too many new things but there is a chance there are some random questions that were not covered in any practice exam / course.
  1. One good quality practice exam
Note : do not fall for some random "dump" found on internet or a file your mate gave you to study.
Also note - you do NOT need more than 1 of each category. You can buy more than one practice exam for sure but doing one is enough IMHO.

1. Video Courses

Free Video based Courses

Free from AWS's own training service (Skillbuilder) :
There is an "Exam Prep" course from Skillbuilder but note that this just covers the high level domains but is not a comprehensive deep dive.
https://explore.skillbuilder.aws/learn/course/external/view/elearning/14760/exam-prep-aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c03
Optional : There is a slightly extended version of this in the paid tier with additional exam-style questions, flashcards and more importantly FREE hands on labs and the official practice exam.
https://explore.skillbuilder.aws/learn/course/external/view/elearning/14776/exam-prep-aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c03-with-practice-material
There is a 7 day (extended to 10 days sometimes) free trial for the paid tier which can help you cram this. You can subscribe, immediately cancel but still enjoy 7 days free.
Please note that this course is not enough on its own to pass and you may want to try additional material below.
YouTube based video course
This course below is a better alternative to the SkillBuilder course above but is about 50 hours.
Andrew Brown is an AWS community hero who runs his own training site called exampro.co but offers most of the material for free on FreeCodeCamp's YouTube channel.
The 2024 refresh of the SAA course is here : https://youtu.be/c3Cn4xYfxJY
Andrew also has additional (free / paid) content on his site to check out.

PAID Video based courses

Adrian Cantrill's courses :
Adrian Cantrill is an independent content creator and has his own site from where you can obtain courses.
His courses go above and beyond what the exam needs and this is exactly why the community loves these courses as you get more practical knowledge than just cramming for the exam. The additional coverage means these courses are longer and not as cheap as other courses that cover just the exam material but in the general opinion of everyone who has taken the course it is absolutely worth it.
Link : https://learn.cantrill.io/
Udemy Courses :
Udemy is a marketplace for courses created by independent authors.
Two of the well known authors are mentioned below but please note that Udemy's pricing model can be a bit weird. One day it may show 150 USD for a course and another day 15 USD. This price it high and discount it heavily model catches out most people - so NEVER pay more than USD 20 for anything on Udemy.
Just wait for a day or so and prices may change. Opening Udemy in another incognito browser etc usually yields a different price or follow the authors on social media for codes that shrink the cost.
Stephane Maarek :
Go via his site : https://courses.datacumulus.com/ for links to his Solutions Architect Associate with the best available coupon.
Neil Davis :
https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-hands-on/
Either one of these Udemy courses is sufficient. You still need to combine it with practice exams but you do not need more than 1 video course.
Other sites :
Exampro.co
As mentioned above Andrew Brown has his own site with additional material over his YouTube course.
Cloud Academy
https://cloudacademy.com/learning-paths/aws-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c03-certification-preparation-for-aws-1-7446/ has both a learning plan and a practice exam at the end.

2. Additional Material

I will update this section soon with some additional guidance soon as I am not happy yet (please let me know in comments if there are key additional coverage I should include) - I am scouring recent exam pass posts to see whats current and also want to add links to re:Invent 2023 announcements. I also am thinking of adding in links to "cheat sheets" / docs - let me know if this would be useful.
WAF - Well Architected Framework
https://aws.amazon.com/architecture/well-architected/
You need to know at some decent depth on what the pillars are and what they do.
Read the whitpapers from https://aws.amazon.com/whitepapers/
Specifically I found the Reliability and Cost Optimization white papers very useful.

3. Practice Exams

Please do NOT fall for "dumps" - if anyone offers you the EXACT list of AWS questions or guarantees the question bank matches the exam - these are dumps. The links below are either official or well regarded sources.
Free :
AWS skillbuilder has one free official exam with just 20 free questions.
To be honest its not really worth it - you can search for "Official practic exam skillbuilder SAA-C03" using your favourite search engine to find it.
exampro.co
Has 1 free practice exam you can sign up to.
Paid :
Official Practice exam
https://explore.skillbuilder.aws/learn/course/external/view/elearning/13593/exam-prep-official-practice-exam-aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c03-english - there is a free 7 day trial available for you to use as this exam may not be worth a month's subscription fee
Tutorialsdojo.com
Highly recommended independent resource for practice exam questions with a very useful "review mode" and every question comes with detailed explanations on answers
Udemy
Stephane Maarek : again go via his site : https://courses.datacumulus.com/
Neal Davis : https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-hands-on/
Other popular sites :
Exampro.co
Andrew Brown has I believe 3 practice exams as well on his site. One is free - the other two you pay for.
Whizlabs
I havent used them personally but https://www.whizlabs.com/aws-solutions-architect-associate/
Cloud Academy
https://cloudacademy.com/learning-paths/aws-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c03-certification-preparation-for-aws-1-7446/ has both a learning plan and a practice exam at the end.

Not Recommended sites :

Sites that are sadly NOT recommended anymore - Avoid A Cloud Guru / Pluralsight as their courses are not considered the best anymore. They used to be leaders but somehow have fallen behind and their subscription model doesnt work in a world with cheap one time purchase courses.
If you want a sandbox to experiment - then ACG offers one but so do Whizlabs and Tutorialsdojo.

Optional / Complementary material

I have an article where you can find complementary / alternatives to the Solutions Architect Exam - most are free and includes the "AWS Knowledge : Architecting Free Digital Badge"
https://www.reddit.com/AWSCertifications/comments/1d1o522/no_payment_options_to_learn_aws_with_digital/
This material isnt exam focused but if you want some free alternatives / cannot afford to pay for the exam - then check out the link.

FAQ

  1. Do I need ALL this material?
    • No. Just one of each is fine. Example : just Adrian's Course + tutorialsdojo
  2. Do I really need to do hands on work?
    • Yes - it is recommended that you get some hands on work at the Associate level. You can use one of the sandboxes but be careful using your own free tier account that you dont end up with leaving resources running too long and getting a big bill. Always secure your account and set billing alarms and dont create an account till you know how to do these!
  3. Where can I find vouchers for the exam?
  4. Can I cheat my way using Dumps that I found online / my mate gave me / found on GitHub / YouTube?
    • Using dumps there is a high chance you fail and/or get caught / banned - the risk isnt worth it. Stick with genuine resources.
  5. Can I pass with just free resources as I cannot afford the resources?
    • Its possible but please it is recommended to atleast spend on decent practice exams. If you cannot afford the exam / resources - just get the free digital badges (Architecting) for the interim
  6. I skipped CCP / CLF - is that okay?
    • Yes - its okay to have skipped the foundational level - almost all the courses above teach you from scratch.
  7. Can someone who is new to IT do this exam?
    • Yes - Many people start from scratch and get to the Associate level. Just make sure you are investing the time required.
  8. Is it worth it?
    • Plenty of threads on this subreddit covering this. You have to make up your own mind if its worth it to you or not.
  9. I dont code or want to - is this course for me?
    • While there is no coding involved in the course - knowing how to use the AWS CLI / being able to do some basic scripting would be very helpful anyway. You can also use free tools like CoPilot / Code Whisperer to help you with pieces you struggle with. Can I use ChatGPT / Amazon Q etc to learn?
Good Luck folks!

2024.06.01 12:23 khawajahassan124 Dispute wrongfully closed in Favour of buyer (with proof)

Dispute wrongfully closed in Favour of buyer (with proof)
Note: reposting from a differencet account since the previous one seemed to have been removed by reddit
This is a follow up post regarding a dispute that was closed in Favour of the buyer, I now have proof that the buyer was at fault and lied in their dispute. I'll try to keep it as brief as possible and explain it according to the timeline. 50$ don't matter to me but it was my honesty and ethics brought into question when the dispute was closed in Favour of the buyer it implied me at fault which has been really bugging me. I now have proof because I have recovered the email associated with the account sold.
MAY 19: I posted the offer, here's the link: https://www.playerauctions.com/cod-account/210222427a!tw2--warzone--level-100---20-guns-mw3-unbought-gun/ (if you cancel the loading before it completes you will be able to read the description)

May 23, 2024, 5:41 AM: Account is banned as per the email received on the email that I have now recovered. note the buyer has changed Activision ID and passwords to all associated accounts so I have no way of accessing them at this point.
https://preview.redd.it/nulq49mzrx3d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=4b349bcf86169c2cf0c4b9f6e6373258d63c8a15
Thu, May 23, 5:51 AM: Buyer opens the dispute

This is what they say in their dispute (note: the time shown here is not my local time zone, for the sake of simplicity I'm sticking to my local time zone in the timeline)

Sat, May 25, 12:43 PM: the buyer does not respond to the dispute, so I escalate it.
Mon, May 27, 7:49 AM: The dispute is closed in Favour of the buyer.
here's some questions that you might have:
Why did i not recover the email while the dispute was still open? how could i? until and unless the dispute was closed anything i would do to mess with the account could have been used by the buyer as evidence for their case.
why did i not ask for screenshot of the ban email notification? i did not know that they (Activision) send such an email, i have never been banned before, i have never hacked in any game in my life. besides the buyer was not responding, who's to say they would comply? and they could have simply deleted the email or claimed that I had already deleted the email.
Why am i posting this here and not sending an email to support? I did send an email to them, prior to recovering the email, and I'm sorry to say this and i mean no offense but the email staff is either completely incompetent, underpaid, overworked or they do not care for their work. their response does not make any sense it is completely irrelevant to what i ask them in one reply to my email they implied that the buyer was at fault, but the dispute was closed against me the seller so i have no idea what they were trying to say, not to mention that every response is from a different person so they have no background knowledge of the case so each person would have to re-read the case and all replies/emails individually to grasp the case in order to help properly which I doubt they do judging by the responses.
My thoughts:
Reddit staff in incredible, I appreciate you guys a lot but in my previous post you said that the only reason I lost the dispute was because I provided a 7-day protection period, and I'm sorry to say but that's like punishing me for doing something good, i thought that the 7 day protection period was an extension of the buyer confirmation period, (which in this case wasn't over so my 7 day protection hadn't even started yet) i thought that the protection implied that i the seller will take responsibility if an issue arises that was due to my mistake or fault, in no way or anywhere on the site does it say that the seller will be held responsible for an issue in which the buyer is at fault.
conclusion:
the purpose of this post is not to defame PA, I love the platform, mistakes can happen, no platform has a 100% accurate dispute resolution. I am genuinely trying to prove my innocence but if after this rant you want to ban me from your site and reddit, it's fine I have proven my case that I am not guilty so I'm content, but you will be losing an honest seller.

2024.06.01 12:06 Honeysyedseo How We Added 200K Subscribers with Cold Email Outreach

This newsletter added 200K subscribers using COLD EMAIL OUTREACH.
Chase Dimond is currently deep in email marketing for ecommerce, but back in 2017, he helped launch The Discoverer, a weekly travel email series.
No paid ads, just raw strategy.
Here’s how they did it.
During the prelaunch phase (Jan-May 2017), they built a team, crafted a content strategy, and tested growth levers.
By May, they had 115K subscribers, all while still in prelaunch.
The allure of the newsletter was "travel inspiration in your inbox".
It worked.
The top acquisition channel? Cold email.
They built an internal tool that scraped data from Instagram.
Think hashtags, geotags, and follower data.
They compiled 5M emails and knew everything publicly available from their profiles.
With personalised cold emails, they drove traffic to their site, surveys, and giveaway pages.
Some killer subject lines included:
The result? 200K subscribers from about 5M emails sent.
Averaged 45%-50% open rates and 10%-15% CTR.
Key tools:
Gmass, SendGrid, and Gsuite.
Pro tip:
avoid Klaviyo or MailChimp for cold emails unless you like getting banned.
Giveaways were another massive growth lever.
Free airfare and hotel stays (thanks to stockpiled rewards miles) attracted thousands.
Each giveaway brought in 5K to 15K new subscribers.
Platforms used:
ViralLoops, Gleam, and DojoMojo.
For ESP, they used Campaign Monitor.
But the real secret? Stellar content.
Top-notch copy and design kept people coming back.
You can use any ESP that fits your needs, just make sure your content is unbeatable.
People loved what they created. That’s why they grew so fast.
Hope this post gives you some insights.
Do you think this would be doable today?

2024.06.01 08:01 coffeechap [June 2024] General Information and Questions

Salut à tous & welcome to ParisTravelGuide
This monthly thread aims at giving basic recommendations to navigate the subreddit and Paris, and offering a general chatter space. Depending on the (inter)national news, we may inform you on impacting events here (strikes, threats, global cultural or sport events..)

USING THE SUBREDDIT

HANDLING THE BASICS OF PARIS

  • General understanding
  • Accommodations
    • Increase of the tourist tax for 2024: read carefully to avoid any bad surprises, especially for non-classified hotels that can apparently charge as if they were palaces due to a loop-hole.
  • Public transport
  • Taxis
    • public: G7 (en) is the only company recognized as public taxis in Paris. It applies fixed fares for travels between the two main airports (CDG and ORLY) and the two sides of the city (left bank / right bank of the Seine river), booking or extra services fees not included.
    • private: Uber are widely used, others are available like Bolt, Heetch, Marcel or Freenow
  • Day trip
    • the Trainline (en) is a very straight forward and efficient data aggregator from various European train and bus companies. (the national one sncf-connect being a bit of a nightmare to use)
  • Airports
  • Tourism Office:
  • Cultural/Event agenda:
  • Health:
  • thread for Protest and Strikes concerns
  • Eating
    • casual: David Lebovitz(en), a blog of a former US chef living in Paris for casual / traditional food
    • trendy: Le fooding(en), trendy reference magazine for foodies
    • starred: Michelin guide, for 1/2/3 stars restaurants or other gastronomic venues
  • Civil unrest
    • Sporadic and sudden protests are very rare. The existence of a protest is very regulated, the day and the route have to be agreed with the authorities several days prior to the date.
  • Authorized protest or march
    • a march usually lasts from 2pm to 6pm and most demonstrators stay until 8pm at the final destination
    • Demonstrators (and/or police) outbursts are more likely to happen at the end from 8pm
    • Most of the stores along the route close for the whole day, and side accesses to these boulevards are barred by the police to motorized vehicles.
    • 95% of the city goes on as usual in terms of street life.
    • Metro lines M1 and M14 are automated and thus operate whether there is a strike or not.
    • Taxis: all the companies work during a strike
      • G7: main company of the "Taxis parisiens", regulated price
      • UbeHeetch/Bolt/FreeNow: categorized as VTC ("Véhicules de Tourisme avec chauffeur"), unregulated price
  • Safety
    • Police department recommendations
    • Safety tips video by les Frenchies (experienced US travelers)
    • Density & safety level: Paris administrative area ("Paris intramuros") is fairly small for a global capital but the population density is very high. Besides that, Paris is currently the most visited city in the world. This situation inevitably leads to various problems or dramas from time to time and one should beware of this cognitive bias. No public statistics accessible, but Paris' safety level is said to be fairly comparable to other big Western metropolis like London, Rome, Barcelona, Brussels or NYC but lower than Amsterdam, Berlin or generally Scandinavian / Central / Eastern European cities.
    • Violent crime: it is very unlikely in inner Paris, European gun laws being much more restrictive than US laws.
    • Pickpockets & scams: while generally safe, you might be exposed to pickpockets, scams or harassment in crowded areas, be it touristic, commercial or nightlife hubs. Keep your belongings in sight and try not to display too much costly items. Avoid unsolicited street vendors (not to be confused with, say, street artists near Montmartre or "bouquinistes" of the quays of Seine) and the occasional street games like Bonneteau ("shell game") that are known scams.
    • Cat-calling: this is a common issue towards women in Mediterranean countries. In Paris, it is more prevalent in the more modest neighborhoods in the North / North-East- of the city.
    • Emergency: If you are in an emergency situation, call 17 (police) / 18 (firefighters but who also handles all life and death emergencies) / 112 (universal European emergency number). All of them are interconnected and will be able to redirect you to the correct one if you happen to pick the wrong one.
    • Neighborhoods:
      • Tourism is concentrated in the rich areas from the center (roughly arrondissements 1st to 8th + Montmartre 18th).
      • As in most cities, main train stations tend to attract more people from the outside, hence a bit riskier, especially at night and crowded metro lines serving the main landmarks
      • The northern outskirts of the city (around Porte de la Chapelle / Porte d'Aubervilliers / Porte de la Villette) are home of temporary refugee camps, a high poverty and rarely drug use in the open. It could feel quite unsafe at night, better be accompanied by locals if you want to venture around at night there or simply pass through.
      • The surroundings of the very central area of Les Halles (around the eponymous commercial mall) can be a bit messy at night as a lot of young people gather here for eating / drinking or hanging out in the streets. It is still home of great streets for night life like rue Saint Denis but beware of the crowds.
      • Also metro stations on line 2 Barbes, La Chapelle and Stalingrad and their surroundings are among the most modest and messy, with countraband cigarettes sellers and potential pickpockets.
      • Southern and Western parts are more posh and family oriented but could be "less lively" than the rest of the city.

ONGOING EVENTS

  • Olympic Games preparation Impacts thread
  • Israel/Palestine conflict Impacts thread
  • Plan Vigipirate
    • Evacuation of public places in case of a left-alone bag for controlled destruction as what happened in the Louvre or Versailles recently. It also happens from time to time in subways.
    • Military patrolling in the city, mostly around landmarks, schools and religious buildings.
    • It doesn't mean there is a particular problem, but they take maximum precaution in these tense moments.

GENERAL CHATTER

The comment sections below is here for members to freely ask questions that are recurrent or not worth a dedicated post (like transport, safety or protests topics), write appreciations, greetings, requesting meetups...
Same rule applies as in the rest of the sub, post topics regarding Paris and its surroundings only please.
Bref, chit-chat mode is on in the comments!

2024.06.01 05:00 dirkmm Friendly Reminder: Doxing is Against Reddit Policies

Doxing is not allowed either on the subreddit or on Reddit in general no matter how obvious somebody's identity might be.
Even if you don't agree with somebody, that does not give you carte blanche to go ahead and start posting their private information OR contacting them via other platforms. Such information includes their real name, handles on other sites, places of work, clearly identifying information, etc. Reddit is very clear about this. Zero tolerance.
Even if that information is available on the internet, it does not necessarily make it available for public dissemination on Reddit.
Directly doxing anybody is going to result in an automatic ban every time either from us or from Reddit in general. Likewise, the use of alt accounts to circumvent such bans tends to result in a permanent ban from Reddit.
Be nice. Please and thank you.

2024.06.01 04:28 IronicStar Wrote an article about google/brands, got banned from a subreddit permanently for sharing... then I realized that this is just part of the same problem. Reddit/Quora/social ranks higher now, but these are all run by mods who basically ban any links/posts they disagree with.

So, I left the field to become a counsellor. However, I still run a non-profit and my own businesses/etc, because why would I pay for that when I've done it for 10 years. Anyways... after trying to post a blog post and getting immediately banned with no warnings, it has me thinking... this is just part of the problem. Now, being banned from a subreddit isn't something I'm going to go cry about, but if GOOGLE is going to prefer reddit ranks, but reddit itself is run by random moderators of communities who decide who lives and dies... then what? Social sites are more polarized than ever... and many times facebook groups, reddit pages, and other "top social sources" just remove content/ban without warning. We're seeing a world where websites are being killed off for "social" content, but the social content is being wielded by the individuals who got there first and happened to aggregate. So, now what? Do we just... never grow anything? Never share ideas? Or, is the end goal that absolutely everything must be a post on that said social media site, garning more revenue in ads for both google and reddit/facebook/etc? So, own nothing yourself, have your content stolen by AIs, and only post on third party websites and never ever ever ever dare "SELF PROMOTE" (the gravest sin on reddit). Basically, the internet is becoming a homogenized shit show, and only the biggest win.
I hate it here.
Adding the post below as plain text because I do not want to be banned, but want to have a conversation about this trend. I think it's worrying. Although I left "the industry" anybody operating any business that relies on web content (IMO) should be worried.
-----
Title: Is Google Killing the Concept of "Brand" in Their Updates?
The SEO and website industries are abuzz this week due to a so-called “leak” of google information. Others have referred to it simply as API data and not a true “leak”. Either way, the community is abuzz on several key fronts, particularly that we finally have information on how the ever-elusive Google works internally. Even if this is just a brief insight into the workings of the search engine, it did confirm for many that Google’s March core update was not only penalizing good sites, but was also a colossal slap in the face to smaller, more niche-blogs. There’s also growing concern since Google has been using websites to train Bard/Gemini without consent, but that’s an ever growing battle. I have a couple thoughts on this as somebody who has been in the web design industry for 10 years, then left to become a therapist. I also run a non-profit, and I still manage around 20 websites. Some of them for these businesses, others just for fun.
The website I saw the most hits on, funny enough, were the ones making the most ad revenue. Part of me wonders if Google is simply cracking the whip on its engine to try and save money—why wouldn’t it? Anyways, that’s neither here nor there. I don’t care about that site very much as I never expected it to make revenue in the first place. Besides, we’re not talking thousands, just a few $100. I did find it interesting.
What I’ve noticed, however, from my shift from running “branded” content to “personal content” (much of being a therapist is promoting YOURSELF) is that the current web is actually not brand friendly. Reddit answers and Quora answers are ranking not just because they are top level domains (but it helps) but because people are more likely to view social content.
And then… I thought about it some more. I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt “drawn” to a brand on youtube or facebook like I used to. I simply don’t care that much. And yet, we constantly consume tik toks, youtubers, and ‘influencers’. Rather than being ‘brands’ there’s a large shift to self content. In response to this, I changed my YouTube and Tik Tok to no longer feature my organization name but my own. It’s a weird feeling as the web seems to be becoming less friendly to a corporate landscape and more for a socialized one. For example, the google information that came out confirms that who your author is matters, and that google can actually link it to social profiles and other content. Google My Business now offers the option to add social profiles.
I think it's ironic that Google is making the web more 'social' by removing the human touch and moving to a distilled AI-based model.
“Search Engine Optimization” now feels a bit more like “Personal Press Releases”. This is a new world for many, but I think there is some indication that at least right now, the web is moving away from websites and more to a person-driven approach. That is, so long as the ads from that content make revenue for google—and considering how much influencers are paid, we can assume that’s not going anywhere any time soon.
Google no longer seems to care what SEO you’re doing, they only care if users are engaging in content, satisfied, and kept in the ecosystem. Their AI scraping our content and stealing it isn’t helping matters either… where this goes is anybody’s guess, but for now, take my thoughts with a grain of salt—and then add lime and a margarita. All I’ll say is that I’m not jealous of those still in the industry.

2024.06.01 01:56 Randyghgu I just wanna say that offerup has offically gone to the shitter

I can't begin how Enraged I am. I can't even use the app before the apps overheat my phone as it
unloads it's waves of ads. and if I don't want to deal with it They pressure u to buy their premium
membership just to sell yo shit on their site. At this point fb market place is actually a bit reliable
where they don't just shadow ban you when you complain. How many times I've been automatically
sent to google because of a Starbucks ad on their site while scrolling on mobile anxiously avoid
clicking on it. just looking at it automatically sends you to another site. It's like they don't get paid from
how many sales they get from users using it; but the ads they implement to where it's straight up like
craigslist really makes my blood boil as I try to maneuver obstacles. Over 70% of their users are either
bots or scammers. It's annoying having to block them and they come back like if they are entitled to
the item because they harassed you first and you block them out of normal response so their audacity
to think that they're entitled for your Item you're trying to sell at a reasonable price for free or low
balling it is fucking annoying.

2024.06.01 01:45 stormybaker Crackdown Construct (foils)

So, three years ago I bought 100 foil copies of Crackdown Construct @ $0.50 each and they've sat in my closet ever since. So failed spec, right? Not necessarily. Today I bought another 160 NM foil copies @ $0.66 each, mostly inspired by the decklists I've seen for Nadu, Winged Wisdom. Assuming that Nadu doesn't get banned in Commander in the near future (hmmm), I predict a lot of players will build the deck. And I think Crackdown Construct has a natural home in the 99.
In Nadu, Crackdown Construct will most often be a 4-mana creature with an arbitrarily large amount of power & toughness. Any kind of unblockability (like Distortion Strike), trample (Rancor), or even an Altar of Dementia quickly makes it a lethal threat.
So how does a 2/2 get so big? In combination with many of the best cards in Nadu, of course: Lightning Greaves, Shuko, Umbral Mantle, Seeker of Skybreak, and Aphetto Alchemist. Additionally it goes big with Basalt Monolith, which might also be in the deck. Outside of UG, Crackdown Construct also goes big with all the en-Kor and a few other things.
And at the end of the day, maybe Crackdown Construct just costs too much mana (4) for it to find a home in the 99 of Nadu. Only time will tell. But I still think Crackdown Construct is a very underrated card for how big it can get in combination with any of 5 cards that will definitely be in the 99 of Nadu.
As far as speculating on Crackdown Construct goes, it's mostly a bulk uncommon from from a relatively recent set (Aether Revolt) so there's a deep supply. It's also easily reprintable, although it only has one printing to date. Personally I am only buying NM foils ,and only at under $1.00. Even 3 years later I still think the card has the potential to be a $5 foil uncommon.

2024.06.01 01:05 No_Rule_3933 Banned for… idk.

I just got banned from Bigassbooties by the one and only moderator for doing what everyone else on that sub was doing: posting pics and videos of women’s rear ends (no nudity). The moderator commented on my post saying, “N*gga you getting fucking banned,” and, sure enough, that’s exactly what happened.
The woman pictured is not underage, btw.
Anyone have an explanation?

2024.05.31 23:49 ConsciousRun6137 Parasites: the First 5000 Years; Five Rules of Parasitic Rulers

  1. First the words, then the world
  2. Create a god in your own image
  3. Coin the realm to own it
  4. Create chaos; divide to conquer
  5. Impose ‘solutions’ to problems you cause

1. first the words, then the world

2. make a god in your own image

What draws people to Yahwism and a sociopathic god? Whenever we see the word ‘Jew’, it’s a trick to conflate a genealogy, an ethnicity, territorial claims, and a religion. We need to flip that puzzle piece over in order to put it in the right color section to solve the puzzle.
Matt Orfalea on The Laws of War: this is a 3 minute video that I highly recommend. No one exposes hypocrisy through juxtaposition like Matt. His footage on Palestine is heartrending. YT made it age-restricted, so it needs to be watched on their site. As we know, pre-teens are always trying to watch fathers crying over their murdered children. They have to be herded back to sexually inappropriate content.
Thanks to thanks Greg (Walking the Dog) for the reference:
For every Jewish Zionist there are 30 Christian Zionists, and Netanyahu exploits this :
… the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu continues to employ an unapologetic rhetoric, invoking biblical references to sell his war to the ultra-right not just in Israel but also in the US, where he is enjoying the support of Christian Evangelists, a majority of whom identify with the global Zionist movement for a ‘Jewish homeland’. Their belief comes from the end-of-the-world interpretation of the bible leading to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
This belief is not just theological but also has created significant support for Israel in the political circles of the United States. Under the Donald Trump regime, evangelists took their seats in the power corridors with the likes of Vice President Mike Pence and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. In fact, Donald Trump also mentioned in a rally that the move to shift the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was ‘for the evangelicals.’
Even the current US President Joe Biden has publicly identified himself as a ‘Zionist’ and at least 100 members of Congress are avowed evangelicals.
TRT World spoke to Stephen Sizer, the former Vicar of the Church of England. A peace activist authoring three books on the Christian Zionist movement and its support for the state of Israel, Sizer was recently banned from licensed ministry in the Church of England until 2030 for his views on Zionism and Israel’s policies in the Middle East.
SS: Christian Zionism is actually the dominant form of Zionism. It has been since before the Zionist movement emerged in the 1870s, 1880s – there were Christians calling for the restoration of the Jews to Palestine from the 1820s, 1830s and the Balfour Declaration with the demise of the Ottoman Empire that Britain's entry, if you like, into the Middle East having defeated the French was to colonise Palestine. And he saw the role of the Jews as serving the best interests of the British Empire. Christian Zionism predates Jewish Zionism by at least 50 years and today dominates the Zionist movement at least 10 to 1, probably nearer 20, 30 to 1. For every Jewish Zionist, there are 20 or 30 Christian Zionists and therefore Netanyahu knows he needs the Christian, particularly the Christian right in America, Canada, Sweden, Holland and in much of Europe in order to maintain his position and to continue the expansion of the Zionist agenda in Palestine.
When Netanyahu uses terms like the Amalek regarded as the staunch enemies of the Biblical Israelites, is he ascribing that term to the Palestinian Arabs?
SS: Yes, he is. The other one that’s used quite a lot is the Philistines. The Philistines were the traditional enemies of the Jews or the Israelites. And so they are painted as the bad guys. The Samaritans again were the bad guys in Israelite history. And so it’s no surprise the Samaritans today, those on the West Bank fulfil that negative role. So the Amalekites and the other Arab tribes that populated the coastal plain into which the 12 tribes of Israel were seeking to settle are seen as the enemy. So it’s an easy, superficial, simplistic way. It’s a kind of a dualism, Manichean worldview, the good guys and the bad guys, we are the good guys, God is on our side. And the bad guys are whoever we want to take out. So it’s convenient in the genocide that’s taking place, the ethnic cleansing in Gaza to demonise the Palestinians as either they’re all Hamas or they are the embodiment of the traditional enemies of the Jewish people in history.
God said to Abraham in Genesis 12, “I will make you a great nation. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you.” Now, what Christian Zionists have done is they’ve taken that promise that was made by God to Abraham and no one else, and they’ve universalised it. They’ve made it an eternal principle. So as long as we bless Israel today, God will bless us. If a nation a community or an individual curses Israel, God will curse them.
And so it’s called a prosperity gospel. The belief that America is a great nation, is a prosperous nation because it defends Israel. So there’s a vested self-interest. If I want to be a healthy, wealthy individual, if I want to be a prosperous person and my clergy and my pastor tells me, bless Israel and God will bless you, I’ll do it because it comes from that crude, self-centred desire, the belief that, you know, it’s like the lucky rabbit’s foot. If I rub the lucky rabbit’s foot, I will have luck
To David Webb, things have only gone wrong relatively recently and can be fixed by the people near the top of the system, if they can be made to understand what’s happening. His solutions, like those of Catherine Austin Fitts and others, work for people who have investment wealth to move around.. Not ordinary people.
My book, How to Dismantle an Empire, starts 3500 years ago with the invention of coinage and taxation as a new form of feudalism. In the section Finance is an Extractive Industry, I detail the mechanisms that David talks about, including derivatives, the interest rate’s relationship to money creation, and bank deposits as unsecured obligations that are ‘shares’ in the bank, which can go down to nothing.

4. create chaos; divide to conquer

From Pepe Escobar’s Russia and China have had enough:
Corbett Report on The Rwandan Genocide is a Lie

5. impose ‘solutions’ to problems you cause

Theirs are not the only solutions. Gabriel, one of my heroes, has written What is Digital Autonomy? When their parasitic paradigm falls apart, it shows that we have the knowledge and the will to put back together what has been torn asunder.

2024.05.31 21:51 TurnyTurns My decade old Reddit account got permabanned a few months ago for some stupid Reddit reason and then appealed, and then I just got banned again for another stupid Reddit reason.

Don’t feel like typing a wall of text and just need to vent.
A couple months ago, I got into an argument in a thread regarding the behavior of some “Reddit atheists” saying that I disagree with the behavior, I was then permanently banned from The entirety of Reddit the next day citing harrassment. Though strong language was used, I was in no way harassing anyone, nor was I being harassed, it was just a heated argument, which to my knowledge is allowed on Reddit right? So I appealed it and obviously the ban got reverted.
Well, I hop into an askreddit thread yesterday regarding something about “what would fulfill your life?” Or something similar. A couple people commented about how they want kids and some asshole came into the thread insulting them and calling them idiots who will never have a fulfilling life because they just want kids and nothing else.
This is what I commented:
“Lmao this is the most Reddit shit I’ve ever seen.
As if having kids isn’t very fulfilling for some people
Grow up”
And I have been permanently banned, yet again, for harassment due to this comment. I see far worse than that get a free pass on this site in basically every sub or thread I enter.
It’s not news or anything because it’s been that way for a long time, but damn did this site really just plummet in quality over the decade.
Edit: I understand that I’m probably just going to get this account banned, but my point is the ban is dumb to begin with, so I don’t care.

2024.05.31 19:31 jammingAA Reminder about ban from any kind of promotion or bonus

I made a post 3 days ago explaining how I’m having a terrible time at 888 since I’m a vip member and now level 364 but banned from all promotions and bonuses. The mod responded by reassuring me that my situation will be further reviewed and I’ll be contacted but nothing happened, he doesn’t even respond to my messages now. What a shame, I’m closing my account for sure as there’s no need to be depositing on a daily basis and not even be able to enjoy promotions offered to all players on this site.

hi, im a tiktok shop seller from UK, lately i've been getting a few bad reviews and some of these are straight up unfair. for example, one of them mentioned how i sent only 1 item instead of 2. when i checked the order details the customer only ordered 1. also, i havent been able to list any items, when i try, it says im limited to 0 listings a day even though ive been able to list more. Then I was told these negative reviews couldn't be removed, so I decided to open a new account, then my account was permanantly suspeneded for fradulent activty a few hours after approval. i listed a few items but thats it. TikTok gave no details behind this "fradulent activity"So I tried to appeal this, and this is what i said."I am appealing the suspension of my TikTok Shop account for Dazzl Stores due to alleged fraudulent activity. This action was taken in error. I have adhered to all guidelines and haven't even had the chance to sell something yet. I have reviewed my shop and I am unable to find where I deserved a ban. I have provided all the documents (utility bill matches address but is not in my name). I am legitimate seller with a history of positive reviews on other ecommerce sites"I provided pcitures of my stock, utility bill, positive reviews on other sites like ebay and vinted and invoices for the products i bought.Yet, my appeal was still denied for "Invalid Supporting Material" I don't know what this means. Hi guys. I'm not so long playing csgo and wanted to buy skins on AK-47. But wondered how I can best do it, I do not really trust the third-party sites for the sale of cases and skins, because I am afraid that I will be banned, so the choice fell on the trading platform steam. What are the pros and cons of buying skins there and how can I do it? Maybe some of you buy them this way and can answer my question, I hope that tomorrow I will be able to play with a new skin in the game
