Japanese mining fleet claims no-fault, blames gravitational anomaly, UASR left without legal recourse as damages number in the billions.

JAKARTA - In the lawless wild west of modern-day Space Mining ventures, there has always been the concern of the dangers that come with increasing traffic and limited to no regulations or standards for stellar travel. The realities of this wild west have finally hit home, or close to home for some following a dangerous collision just outside the orbit of one of the Jovian moons which sent a significant amount of large-sized bits of a resource rich asteroid careening to the surface of said moon. The resulting debris caused approximately $15 billion in damages, while leaving nearly fifty (approx 10 Japanese and 40 UASR) individuals dead due to the crash. The debris itself which crashed into the uninhabited sectors, created a shockwave which was felt by inhabitants of a nearby Mining Camp approximately 50km away, while tremors and earthquakes continued for over 5 days.
The crash itself, between a Japanese Asteroid Hauler and a full UASR Mining Transport ship similarly remains somewhat of a mystery, with the collision being practically a stellar t-bone in the middle of a high traffic line of space, used by Haulers to reach various resupply points just outside of Jupiter's orbit and other nearby bases. Not caused by debris, flares, or any other machination - the accident by all accounts seems as if it was purposeful and at minimum entirely at the fault of the Japanese Hauler which had received multiple warning notifications from the UASR Mining Transport who was too bulky to maneuver out of the way. The crash has left all hands lost onboard both the Japanese and UASR vessels, marking the deadliest solar-vessel accident since the beginning of commercial Space harvesting.
While the UASR has attempted on multiple accounts to appeal for fiscal remuneration, it has as a result of the lack of any international system of law, fallen on deaf ears. Released crash reports from the UASR have proven on multiple accounts that fault lay with the Japanese, however the Japanese government has continued to protect the Japanese Asteroid Mining Corporation involved. At the same time, the Mitsui Corporation which managed to get its hands on the "black box" onboard the vessel, have continued to remain stalwart in their defense that the crash was an accident, the result of a gravitational anomaly that had left the Japanese vessel in an uncontrollable state. Evidence from the Black Box if legitimate, would support the theory and has even been verified by UNSC scientists acting as independent observers to what has been a major geopolitical incident. However, with multiple other vessels in the area including the UASR ship that was destroyed reporting no sign of any gravitational anomaly, critics have been left to point at the tight-knit Japanese-UNSC alliance for the verification. Nevertheless this accident serves as a lethal warning as to the dangers of unregulated space operations, something that aside from Roman efforts to regulate has been heavily neglected.

The recent Jovian Collision has highlighted the serious danger posed by unregulated and uncoordinated space ventures. While the Japanese continue to claim the crash was the result of a gravitation anomaly, there has been no further proof of said claims beyond a "black box" supposedly verified by the UNSC. Nearby vessels reported no such anomaly and as such - we are safe in stating this accident was the result of gross negligence on the part of the Japanese vessel. This therefore highlights the serious need for significant regulation and international coordination of space-related efforts.
Should this accident have occurred over Venus, or forbid, Earth. The damages could have been catastrophic. My office is therefore suggesting that calls for an NOS and other interstellar related treaties be pushed forward immediately, coordinating not just within the Bandung Pact but also with other international actors including the Alfr, Caliphate, and Russian remnant states, Rome, and even GIGAS. The threat that unregulated space travel and commercial use places is clear and hopefully is now clear to even our largest threats, rivals, or geopolitical opponents.
Space belongs to no one person, it is the right of all humanity. We must therefore approach it with the mindset of harmonious balance, rather than endless competition.

Hi. My xbox wireless controller is disconnecting very often even when using a wired connection. The controller when connected will usually play okay for 20-30 minutes before starting to act up and disconecting. a quick power cycle on the controller (ripping the battery out and throwing it back in) will fix it temporarily but it will disconnect again in roughly 5-10 minutes. even when wired the same issue persists regularly another symptom is the controller when trying to reconnect it will stop flashing as if it has connected even though it hasn't connected to anything (there are multiple boxes in the house but there all in seperate rooms and the controller doesn't connect to them anyway it just connects to nothing) and even trying to power cycle the controller only works half the time to fix this issue and swaping to wired also only works half the time to connect to the xbox properly (i'm dead serious when i say that even wired the controller will glow solid and pretend it's connected to something even though it's not) on a final note of symptoms the controller when connected to ear buds will have the audio cut in and out regularly for miliseconds constantly and a few seconds the controlls will also freeze when this happens (i think this is mostly just a sign of an over all constant shitty connection between box and controller but the issue happens when wired to so it's really bugging me) this problem has persisted constantly since i started using wireless controllers before i even bought a series S console when my xbox one finally crapped out if you respond to this just know i have tried *updating the controller (up to date) *updating the console (up to date) *other controllers/consoles/wires/batteries *unplugging from a surge protector and into the wall (i heard power supply may be an issue since new boxes have a built in surge protector) *adjusting the box so it faces me directly and the controller is in front of it *reseting the xbox (keep my games and apps) *wired connection *unplugging my bluetooth keyboard and mouse (it's not a zim it's just experimental mode for xbox) *keeping my xbox cool and clean *keeping my controller within 3-5 feet of the xbox *using the connection buttons on the xbox and controller *reseting the controller properly (unpowered for ~ 15 seconds) *reseting the console (unplugged for ~3 minutes) *trying all of these solutions at the same time. This issue has plauged me for long enough so i plan on being as responsive and helpful to those who help me as much as i can but personally i'm low on hope and need an angel at this point

I completely ripped out a hang nail a few days ago. Each day the area has gotten worse. Started with minor swelling and redness. The day after a purple bruise formed and the area increased radially. Today, it now has a yellowish sac around the bottom of my nail, and further spreading (currently a sixth of the way to my knuckle).
Should I go to a doc (for medication), or will this resolve on its own?

So I (19M) have been planning to go Low or No contact with my parents for the past 4 years and i wanted to see if I was overreacting. A little bit of background on my relationship with my parents: My mother (40F) and father (45M) had a relationship while my mom was married to my older sister’s (Terri-21F) dad, who was in jail and eventually I was created. During the first four years of my life, my father was absent due to being in jail and I was raised by my mom and my second sister’s (Carey-18F) father. When I turned four, my parents got back together, then we moved out of state where they had my third sister (Janice-14F). It was a good year until they broke up and we were forced to move back to our original state because they could not stand to live in the same household. From 5-9 years old, I would be sent to live with my paternal aunt and my cousins as my mom couldn’t afford to keep all of us together and my dad was still out of state trying to find work. This time would be the happiest I have ever been as I had close friends, great grades and enjoyed every second I spent with my family. My father made his way back to our state when I turned 7 and would visit or hang out with me every weekend while living with my grandmother. During fourth grade when I had moved back in with my mom, as she had her own place with her then boyfriend and i had a new sister (Kelly-10F), There was a day where I hadn’t cleaned the dishes bc there was’t any dish soap so when my mom came back I told her and she told me to still clean them and when I did them only using water (as there is no dish soap), she proceeded to throw me to the ground and start choking me while my sister’s are trying to pull her off of me. This was after making us undress and line up against the wall as she hit us with a belt on our bare skin. Afterwords she acted like the situation never happened all the way until i moved in with my dad after he got his own place. This is where I played this game of roundabout for years where I move back in with my mom then back with my paternal aunt where I would have my first argument with my father over an unfair punishment and he would hold me over the stairs and threaten to throw me down them in front of my aunt (I was 13 and barely half his size.) I would later after move with my maternal aunt in my freshman year and then back to mom for the rest of high school in a small one bedroom apartment. During all of this, we all had our own personal issues with our mother’s actions and lack of respect towards us. During these she would try to attack us, fistfight with my sisters, verbally attack us and constantly wait for us to apologize, which we did because we had no choice as we could only live with her at some points. During this time, she would kick my sisters out and my mental health decline caused me to start h@rming myself and I stopped sleeping from freshman year to senior year. Janice has a moderate intellect disability so she needs help to understand when she did something wrong and someone to watch over her. During my senior year of high school, Janice pooped in the garbage and I didn’t know until my mom started screaming at her and hitting her with a broom. As I tried to get her to stop and grabbed the broom, she then pushed me and started yelling at me for trying to stop her. I sprung up and looked her dead in her eyes to never put her hands on me again as I am now bigger than her and took weightlifting as my gym class. She then proceeded to yell at me some more and tell me to get out or she’s calling the police. Even though I was 17 and knew she couldn’t kick me out, I still didn’t want her to get arrested as we still needed a place to stay and she was our only and best option. I called my father to pick me up and when explaining the situation, he starts making excuses for her saying she’s mentally ill as she has diagnosed BPD and how I need to apologize as we need to live with her and respect her. Even as he called her and told her she was wrong, he still kept trying to keep peace between us rather than defend either me or my sister. The next day I had to apologize and she pretends like it never happened, but I started planning to go to a college as far as I could to get away from her no matter what. We would have frequent arguments and screaming matches until my graduation and eventually when I left I finally felt free and happy and my mental health got better until I eventually came back home after my first year was over. I came back to live with her for the summer as I don’t have anywhere else I can stay and we would reignite our strained relationship as I no longer hold my tongue to her yelling like everyone else. Our argument was over the way I swept and how I left out my air mattress that I was sleeping on, and I could see her get closer and her fist shake at her side as she knows she cant hit me anymore especially since my maternal grandma moved in and eventually we drop it, but then she tries to involve my dad who tries to explain how I have to do what she says when she says it because I live in her house and I tried to explain that her first reaction does not need to be yelling and how I still did what she asked. It fell on deaf ears as he kept cutting me off and getting angry every time I tried to speak, even as he asked me to explain my side and insulted my job and the fact that I don’t listen to their unsolicited advice. Nothing I said mattered to them and i realized my mother would always snap anytime her power was threatened and my father would never defend us for any reason.

Novumite (Nov) A turquoise mineral is found only in The divide and deep in the surrounding ocean of the Kyotzkac peninsula. The minerals most common use is to be ground into a powder, that is ingested to produce performance enhancing effects. The working class typically ground up and eat, sniff, or inject the powder. To inject the powder it is diluted in water. The more well off users melt the powder which requires extremely high temperatures that turn the mineral a red color and lower the melting point drastically. The mineral is then fashioned into specialized needles that on when used melt the substance and inject it, allowing for much more concentrated usage.
Novumite has other uses as well. It has been used throughout history as a valuable and rare ornamental material, valued for its unique color. It is also quite flammable, although this aspect has not fully been explored. This flammability is part of the reason melting it is so expensive as special lab and furnace equipment is required.
Neon ~3000 years ago, a man was impaled by a pure novumite rock, injecting large amounts of novumite directly into him. Through specific mutation, instead of dying from the overdose, it dissolved into his blood granting him the power to use neon. He did not know this however, and continued live a normal life having 4 children. Today, all of his descendants have the power of neon. Neon is a power that varies heavily between users. These abilities could be fire control, invisibility, beast control, ect. However, if one uses neon to much they suffer the effects of neon disfigurement. This side effect is different for everyone, but typically manifests as intense scaring, loss of minor limbs such as fingers or hands, and the deterioration of the mental faculties.
Abilities are passed down through blood relation and change between generations. However, if one wishes to gain the abilities of another bloodline, they can attempt to inject the blood of a user. This is extremely risky, especially for the inexperienced and weak user, but if successful, the power of the users blood is added to the injected user.
For most people, neon takes years to learn and decades to master. Most go their whole lives never learning. But for the four families that are direct decisions of the four children, these abilities manifest rapidly, are more powerful, and the user are granted additional perks. These “pure bloods” are more resistant to neon disfigurement, have much better chances with injections of blood, and have a unique characteristic that manifests whenever they use the ability, such as horns, tusks, glowing skin, ect. There is only believed to be three families, The telepathy family, The fire family, and the most powerful family, the hemoturgy(bloodbending) family. The fourth family has managed to slip under the radar, the stoneskin family.

So today my co-woeker was ringing out this boomer with a stack of ,Crazy-8, lotto tickets. After scanning them through the machine he says you won one dollar! This man started screaming at the top of his lungs on how one of them was a thousand dollar winner and that my co-worker must be lying. "Theres three 8's that means a thousand dollars!" Usually Walt (not really his name) is a people pleaser and rarely loses his cool. But after the fourth time of trying to explain that he didnt win a thousand dollars he just looks this guy straight in the eye and says. "Sir take your dollar and move out of the way i have other customers to take care of!" I had to hold back the urge to burst out laughing. this guys face was beat red. He just storms out, tickets in hand, bitching about how he's gonna investigate and "Get to the bottom of this!" The best part of this interaction was that even if it was a thousand dollar winner, which it wasnt, there would be no way to cash it. we don't nearly carry that much, and even if we did have it the lotto machine won't process more than $500. Just another crazy day working with the public.

I have been struggling with a myriad of symptoms for years now with no answers or solutions. I have had a chronic cough/throat clearing for almost 4 years where my throat constantly feels irritated, I’ve had “IBS-D” for at least a decade but recently diarrhea has gotten much worse and it’s every day, I’m covered in red itchy/scaly patches of skin in my armpits/figers/hands/ankles for 7 months now that does not respond to any topical steroid, I’ve recently started having significant bone pain in my left leg the last 2 months, and I’ve started having extreme fatigue where I’m literally falling asleep on zoom calls in the afternoon some days. I had blood work done recently and all my IGG levels were normal but I had high lymphocytes. I decided to try to look up all my symptoms as once which brought up Mastocytosis and it seems to check almost all my symptom boxes. Doctors have been useless so far and only ever look at one symptom in isolation. How did you go about finding a dr to talk to about this and get tested? I feel like I won’t be taken seriously if I try to suggest it myself.

With girls, I’m confused because of the obvious “is she just being nice”. There are times a girl seems into me, but then I think that I’m doing too much. But she’s still responding, just not well. And I just assume she’s still kinda interested because, well, she didn’t say she isn’t
But she isn’t. That same situation could happen, I could stop talking to her. Turns out she was into me
But I also recall a friend. I asked if he could lend an ear. He said yes, but not very enthusiastically. He still looked to listen. But I’d later find out because it wasn’t enthusiastic he hoped I would figure it out. He treated me differently afterwards, I could tell
It’s also like, maybes, or things with no discernible distinction. Hey, you want to meet up? Maybe, I’ll lyk. Some people let me know a yes or no. And some people just don’t respond. So I ask the people who said maybe if it’s a yes or no, and they then say no, or stick with the maybe? But it means no. Which for whatever reason I struggle to grasp
I’m very straightforward to a fault. It’s been difficult to decipher hints. And I don’t think I am the only person. There was a girl I was talking to who seemed kinda disinterested. I talked to a female friend about it, because I don’t know truly. My friend said she seems interested because she’s responding but maybe she’s just a “bad texter”
She wasn’t interested, and she was hoping I’d go away. On the other hand, the friend who I talked to has done the exact same thing with guys she wasn’t into and she didn’t even decipher it (she was very introspective about it)

Me (24F) and one of my best friends (23F) have known each other for close to 10 years! She’s getting married this fall and I have the privilege of being one of her bridesmaids, which I couldn’t be more excited about !!
For her & her soon-to-be husbands wedding they’re having each person in their wedding party assigned a different color of dress/tie to wear! I loved the idea and was so excited to get to find out the color I was assigned! My bestie (the bride) planned the cutest brunch for 4 of her closest friends, including me and handed us a small gift box to each of us asking us each to be one of her bridesmaids which included a fabric swatch of our individual color to wear!
One of the girls got a gorgeous sage green, another one got a stunning shade of pink and the last one got a deep emerald! I was so excited to see mine, However, when I looked at my swatch it was almost a flesh/beige color which is maybe a couple shades off of cream that when compared to my skin (which is cooler toned & definitely not tan) just made me look extremely red in comparison!
Talking to my mom about it, it just made me feel worse because she told me if it was her she would refuse to wear that color and would ask for a different one because “that color doesn’t look good on anyone” and “it’s going to look like you’re naked”
Even after hearing all the things my mom had to say I ended up ordering my dress off of the website the bride had suggested & shrugged it off because at the end of the day, it’s not my wedding and I want my best friend to be happy! If it means I don’t feel the prettiest in my dress, that’s okay.
I ended up receiving my dress in the mail today and when trying it on, I absolutely HATED the way it looked on me, even more than I thought I would because it made me look so splotchy and sunburnt! I figured with maybe a tan it will help, but I’m not sure if I should tell her I dislike the color or just leave it be and act happy!
Am I the asshole for wanting to feel pretty on my best friends wedding day?!

About me: 35 year old female, 5ft2in, 185lbs. Diagnosed with MCAS, undetermined connective tissue disorder (seeing rheumatologist but no more specific diagnosis yet), fibromyalgia, vitamin d deficiency, cluster headaches, migraines, chronic fatigue, sleep apnea, depression/anxiety, undetermined facial pain on left side (ruled out TMJ, drs suspect Trigeminal Neuralgia, scheduled with a facial pain specialist), unspecified infertility. Current prescriptions/medications are Xolair injections (for hives), duloxetine (for depression), modafinil (for fatigue), dayvigo (for when have trouble initiating sleep), epi pen (cautionary after anaphylactic event), advil or other OTC pain med (as needed for facial pain), birth control (in preparation for IVF cycle), vitamin d2 (for deficiency). No history of drugs. Don’t smoke. Rarely drink.
Sorry I couldn’t get better pictures, it’s very difficult to photograph. It’s easy to see on my arms and legs but difficult to see on my face. My face mainly looks red/splotchy and lumpy.
Full disclosure, I do suffer from hives which were originally diagnosed as chronic idiopathic urticaria. I have since been diagnosed with MCAS. This is very different from the hives I suffer from and I’m on Biologics Xolair injections every three weeks to treat the hives. With this treatment they are 99% under control.
Sunday I went to a local farm to pick strawberries and got itchy pretty quickly but know better than to scratch. Sunday night I noticed these tiny bumps all over my hands, arms, legs, neck and face. The bumps are significantly more noticable on my body than my face but I can feel them all over my face. They are itchy everywhere except my face, they seem oily on my face. I’ve been taking an antihistamine/antacid combination in case it was related to allergies but there has been no change. I’ve washed with my typical sensitive soap and washed my face with my usual oil free face wash.
Any ideas what they are and/or if I should get to a dr? I thought perhaps contact dermatitis from the strawberry plants but contact dermatitis is typically a more severe rash. I also considered Keratosis Pilaris which doesn’t seem to be the culprit. It’s been two days and if they don’t clear up in another day or so then I’ll probably head to a doctor. I’m not sure which doctor I should go to if it comes to that: my primary care PA, my dermatologist or my allergist. I can’t decide if this is most likely a skin issue (see my dermatologist) or immune response (see my allergist). My main concern is getting this under control before it potentially escalates and results in an anaphylactic episode, which has happened in the past with my MCAS.

Yesterday, I was traveling back from the village it was a pleasant journey till I entered Rishikesh. I am not exaggerating here. I was on my bike wearing a T-shirt. As soon as I entered Tapovan I met with a welcoming traffic jam with all cars standing in the queue with their AC on which lasted for the rest of the 1-2 hr journey. The heatwave was so intense from Rishikesh to Haridwar that I don't have words here to explain why my hand was completely burned it was not even brown color which is the usual color, it turned completely red at that time because of severe burning and now it turned in dark brown color. In my head there were only two questions did we create hell in heaven and second one is whether affordable vehicles for the general public are boon or bane?

While this is still fresh in my mind, I would like to share my story - to help myself and any others that may find themselves in a similar situation as me. It's also so that I have a record of this experience.

My husband (31 years old) and I (30 years old) started to try for a baby around the middle of last year. We had known from the start that it would not be super easy for us to get pregnant as I have PCOS and his sperm quality is not great. We tried naturally until the end of last year when we started seeing a reproductive assistance specialist, who recommended we try IUI first before deciding if IVF is necessary.
The first two cycles were unsuccessful, despite two mature follicles in the second cycle. Both cycles lasted a bit more than a month.
After the second cycle, I did a hysterosalpingogram (fallopian tube scan), which involved conducting a procedure whereby the radiologist would inject a special dye into your uterus that would pass through your fallopian tubes while they took scans to determine how fast the dye is passing through your fallopian tubes. We found that my left fallopian tube was partially blocked.
For the third cycle, the specialist used a different set of medicine to encourage egg production. By my count, this phase itself lasted a month (i.e., significantly longer than the pervious two cycles). As more eggs were producing in my left ovary, the specialist wanted to see if more eggs would produce in my right ovary before inducing ovulation. At the end, there were five mature follicles - 3 on the left and 2 on the right.
It should be noted that during this time, the specialist had told us that it is possible that the hysterosalpingogram may have temporarily unblocked my left fallopian tube so the mature follicles in my left ovary may not be completely useless. So maybe it was the specialist's lack of foresight that led to this entire situation.
Anyway, so with five mature follicles, we proceeded with IUI and went through the waiting game of two weeks post-IUI.
The weekend before I was meant to do a pregnancy test, I started developing OHSS symptoms - severe bloating and nausea which resulted in vomiting. Due to a number of reasons, despite these symptoms, I did not see the specialist until the next Tuesday - four days after I realised that my symptoms were worsening. Those four days were spent at home, throwing up every meal and stuck mostly in bed.
On that Tuesday that I saw the specialist, I did a urine pregnancy test which showed a very thick, very red test line. Unfortunately our joy was shortlived as that same day, I was hospitalised for OHSS. I was in the hospital for 13 days.
Whilst in the hospital, I had to do fluid tapping and my legs were so swollen that they were unrecognisable to me. For some reason the hospital would not take my HCG levels for the longest time so I was in a state of limbo with regard to the pregnancy. On day 6, I was finally told that my HCG levels were at ~3,500 and a transvaginal ultrasound was done which showed two gestational sacs. No additional ultrasounds were done by the hospital.
On day 10 of my hospitalisation (which would be week 5 + 2 days), I was temporarily released to see the specialist where both transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds were done. This showed us four gestational sacs but no heartbeats yet. That day was the first time the specialist mentioned the possibility of needing to do fetal reduction if more than two heartbeats develop.
After I was released from hospital, we went for further checkups with the specialist which basically showed:
• Week 6 + 2 days - six gestational sacs, three heartbeats • Week 7 + 2 days - six gestational sacs, six heartbeats • Week 8 + 2 days - 10 gestational sacs, eight heartbeats
Between week 7 and week 8, we knew we had to do fetal reduction to reduce to twins. The risk to me and the babies was too high. I cannot carry eight babies to term. Both my husband and I knew that.
Due to the high numbers of heartbeats, the specialist recommended that we do fetal reduction asap - between weeks 8 to 10. If we wait until week 10-12 (at which point some of the heartbeats might stop developing and we may have an idea of whether any of them have genetic abnormalities), we run the risk of the tissues of the dead fetuses causing an infection, increasing the risk of miscarriage of the remaining twins.
So we scheduled the procedure for week 8 + 5 days. That was yesterday.
I don't think I was prepared at all for the procedure despite how much I scoured the Internet and Reddit for similar stories - simply because there were none that I could find. I couldn't find any stories of people reducing from eight heartbeats to two at week 8-10. This is also one of the reasons why I decided to share.
The procedure itself took an hour and a half. It was not painless despite local anesthesia, maybe because it wore off as the procedure went on - I'm not sure. Due to the positions of the sacs, the specialist had to inject from two different locations. He reduced three fetuses for each injection. For each injection, by the time he was working on the third fetus, I would start feeling pain that felt like really bad period cramps. The last fetus was especially bad because it felt like he had to dig deeper.
Emotionally, it was the hardest experience I had ever went through in my life. My husband was in the treatment room with me and held my hand the whole time. Although I kept my eyes shut and although I kept my emotions under control at first, I could hear my husband starting to cry when the first few fetuses were reduced. At some point between reducing fetus 2 and 3, the nurses had to adjust my bed higher which jolted me out of my "frozen" state. I almost opened my eyes at that point but my husband warned me, "Don't look," and the waterworks broke which did not stop until the end of the procedure.
Between the two injections, I looked briefly and saw which I think is one of the remaining twins with a heartbeat so strong that I could see it on the screen. I couldn't look any longer and just kept my eyes closed the rest of the way. I can only say that I am glad my husband was there and comforted me.
Although part way through the procedure, it seemed that only five fetuses needed to be reduced, at the end, six were reduced. The procedure ended successfully.
Afterwards, my husband told me that I wouldn't have been able to bear it if I had looked. Seeing the procedure made him feel remourse and guilt. He described it as the needle invading each embryo's space, and because the specialist had to "hook" the needle onto each embryo, it looked like they were running away from the needle. He hadn't expected himself to be so emotional. Prior to the procedure, I had told him to keep watch to make sure everything is done correctly and because I felt that we shouldn't ignore what's happening - but hearing him cry made me realise the emotional strain that the situation was having on him, which weighed me down too. At the end of the day, I can only appreciate him staying strong for me.
The good news is, at our most recent ultrasound scan, which was yesterday night around six hours after the procedure, our twins were still shown going strong.
According to the specialist, there is a higher risk of miscarriage due to the procedure for two weeks, so it is now a waiting game for us. At this stage, we know that whatever happens is out of our control. But from all the ultrasounds we have done, the twins have always looked strong to me. I believe in them.
As my husband and I don't plan to share this story with any of our friends, nor do we want to go into details with our family, this post is really the only way for me to really reflect on what has happened. I also hope that, given our situation seems to be on the rarer side, this post gives insight to anyone that is going through the same thing.

Hi, I'm setting up a practice area and could use some help picking out a launch monitor. Here's the info:

• It's an outdoor space, about 12x20 feet. I'll be hitting into a net.
• My goal is to practice with a simulated driving range. I'm not too interested in playing simulated courses. It would be nice to have as an add-on, but it's not necessary.
• The most important thing to me is accurate ball flight data.
• Club face/path data is nice to have but not 100% necessary.
• I'd like the margin of error to be within something like 5 yards. Like if every shot is consistently 10 yards shorter than reality that's fine. I just want the shot-to-shot variance/error to be reasonable (e.g. within 5 yards or so).
• I live in Canada and my budget is probably up to around $2000 CAD. I'm okay with buying second hand, so that keeps some prices down.
• I'd rather not pay a yearly subscription fee but it's not a total deal breaker. I just plan on using this thing for a while so paying up front makes sense to me, rather than large yearly subscriptions.

I've done some research and these three options stand out as good fits for my goals:

• Garmin r10: Cheap and lots of data points, but I'm reading conflicting things about the accuracy, specifically the side spin. I like how affordable it is, and the club data is a nice bonus, so if the ball flight is reliably simulated I think this is a winner. I just can't find hard data online about the ball flight accuracy.
• SkyTrak (not SkyTrak+): These are affordable second hand and seem to give reliable ball flight data. I also like the reduced practice area size requirements, even though I don't need that atm. I don't need a subscription if I just want to use it for the driving range practice mode, so I think the SkyTrak looks like it does a good job at my main objectives (i.e. accurate ball flight and good driving range mode), but doesn't do anything else.
• FlightScope Mevo+: This seems a little bit more expensive but I could get the basic version without any club tracking and then it seems like it would be pretty similar in price to a SkyTrak. Is the ball flight accuracy comparable to the SkyTrak? I do like how the mevo+ doesn't require a subscription so I could explore the sim side of things to see if I like it, even though it's not my primary use case.

Anyone know if the Garmin R10 would give accurate enough ball flight data to be a good fit for me? Are there any other options I should be looking at?
