IS IT REAL?

2018.11.14 03:16 xanleanstar IS IT REAL?

IS YOUR PINT REAL DON'T SPEND BIG MONEY ON FUFU HERE SOME INFO:

INFO:

Lean, also known as Mudd, Texas Tea, Barre, Syrup, Sizzurp, Drank, Purple Drank, Dirty Sprite, Oil, and so on, is prescription grade cough syrup that has promethazine with codeine in it. The entire full medical name for it is 'Promethazine Hydrochloride and Codeine Phosphate CV Syrup'. Sometimes they use the substitute term HCI for the word Hydrochloride, which is the medical abbreviation. Phenergan is also another word used for Promethazine. You may come across pharmacies putting "Generic for Phenergan with Codeine," which is the same thing. All the above are the only REAL ingredients for lean. If it has different ingredients added or missing than it is NOT legit lean.
Promethazine DM, which comes in a yellow color. It is NOT real lean.
Plain Promethazine, which comes in a green color (not to be confused with Caraco/Sun Pharmaceuticals), is NOT real lean.
Promethazine VC also is NOT real lean.
Promethazine VC w/ Codeine syrup, has all the same ingredients, but with the added Phenylephrine in it. This ingredient is similar to a stimulant. It is also more likely to carry side effects. I do NOT recommend drinking it, you will NOT be leaning. EDIT: There seems to be a lot of this kind that are FAKE Here is an example below of the fake ones.
Fake Prometh w/Codeine VC Bottle Pic Example
Cheratussin AC, Virtussin AC, Guaifenesin AC, and so on, is NOT real lean. It is made up of Codeine and Guaifenesin. This ingredient can cause stomach pains and other side effects when used in large amounts. I do not recommend it at all.
Hycodan/Hydromet or Hydrocodone/Homatropine Would not recommend sipping this. Homatropine was added to deter abuse. It is not good in higher than prescribed doses. It can cause bad side effects when taken in excess.
Stay away from anyone who says they have "WATSON", this is FAKE. There is no such brand. Please NOTE: It comes in all shapes and sizes other than shown below.

Actavisa is also a FAKE 'bootleg' that comes from Mexico. It rips of the Actavis label for the most part. It comes in a sealed 5oz bottle that is in spanish. I have no idea what it is made up of, but it sure as hell is NOT promethazine w/ codeine and with all certainly it is FAKE. Stay away, far far away from it.

Quick Easy Tips to Spot (some of, but NOT all of the) FAKE Pints

Bottle Shapes: Always make sure it is the correct bottle shape and that the bottom of the bottle has the correct bottle manufacture as well. (More information below under the BRANDS section).
Labels: Always make sure that the label is correct. And remember that only Hi-Tech and Wockhardt have a peel away booklet label. Qualitest/Par and Sun Pharmaceuticals do not have booklets that peel out of the label.
Caps: Always make sure the pint has the correct cap on it. (More information below under the BRANDS section)
Seals: Actavis and Hi-Tech are the ONLY brands with outer seals. Qualitest/Par, Wockhardt/MGP, and Caraco/Sun Pharmaceuticals all have inner seals. (More information below under the BRANDS section). Remember that just because it it has a seal doesn't automatically mean that it real.
Non varn/Imprint area: This is the area where the batch number and expiration date go on the label. Fake pints will just say "Non varn" or "Imprint area" instead of having a batch # and exp date. Qualitest/Par is the only brand that may have this on a fake pint.

These tips should help, but please know that it is not always going to be completely reliable because there is a lot of spot on fakes pints.
So in Summary
if there is NO seal, then there is NO deal.
But just because there is a seal, it doesn’t guarantee that it's real.
If that's the wrong cap, then it's a wrap.
And if the price is too nice, then you better think twice.

BRANDS:

Will be a purple/red syrup with a peach-mint flavor. Rumored to have a similar formula to Actavis.
Currently has a patent. Has filed an ANDA (Abbreviated New Drug Application). Seems to have been approved as a generic drug by the FDA, but has NOT yet been released into the wild. Anything on the streets is FAKE.

Hi-Tech/Akorn Syrup Color Pic Example
Bottle: Old Hi-Tech came in Glass (rare now), New Hi-Tech is plastic same as Akorn. Box/coffin shape bottle. Hi-Tech and the first run of Akorn without the QR code on label should always have the exp date printed directly on the bottle neck. (See example below.) The new Akorn pints do not have this though. it is instead on the side of the label.
Label: Both Hi-Tech and Akorn come with a booklet that peels out of the label. New Akorn bottles come with a barcode on the side along with the exp date instead of having it printed on the bottle neck.
Cap: White cap that says "close tightly while pushing down turn" in a red font. Hi-Tech and the first version of AkornNew bottles come with a QR code on top of the cap.
