I (18F) have been friends with someone who I will call Friend #1 (19F) since freshman year of highschool. We were both very introverted and shy and became close friends during a time when we didn’t really have any other friends; I even invited her to my family’s home in Europe and we spent a summer vacation (summer after sophomore year) there together. In junior yr of highschool we became friends with another girl who I will call Friend #2 (18F). The three of us became super close and spent the majority of our time together.
So the summer after junior yr I went to visit my family in Europe and while I was gone for the summer Friend #1 and #2 met some new people and Friend #1 ended up developing a crush on a guy that they met. Fast forward to when I come back from vacation, I meet said guy for the first time and unfortunately develop feelings for him as well. Typical 17 year old girl issues, and just to make it clear I of course felt/feel guilty for developing a crush on the same guy when Friend #1 already had a crush on him. So this is when things about our group dynamic start to change; there is mounting tension and awkwardness from all ends, etc. Long story short this goes on for a few months, Friend #1 hasn’t said anything about her feelings to the guy and I eventually decide to confess my feelings to the guy (already knowing I would be rejected) because I just wanted to get it off my mind and move on.
At this point it’s around the end of the year 2022. Friend #2 and I have an altercation because each of us felt like the other wasn’t being a good enough friend, which on my end was explained by the fact that I was really depressed and suicidal at this time (senior yr) and isolating myself from everyone. We both apologized and talked it out and I was under the impression that everything was good between us. After this point, moving into 2023 and especially by summertime is when I started feeling uncomfortable with the way my friends were treating me. Basically they would be making plans by themselves, which would have been fine if they didn’t treat it as a secret to hide from me. I started getting blocked from ig stories on days that they would hang out and post a pic together. One time the three of us had planned to hang out and both of them said they were only free in the morning, for separate reasons, which I didn’t find weird at all. We hung out in the morning and I had left by late afternoon… only to see that they had gone out and done something together after I had left. My feelings were so hurt and for the longest time I was left wondering what I did or what was wrong with me that made them dislike and avoid me like that, not to mention paranoid about them talking about me behind my back together.
Fast forward to the end of summer 2023. The times where we would hang out (all three of us) were becoming less and there had been no discussion about anything that happened between us. I was just really tired of feeling like the odd one out at this point and felt uncomfortable even reaching out or asking to hang out, as I felt unwanted as a friend by both of them. Me and Friend #2 both moved to the same city for college (not as roommates). Friend #1 moved to a different city than me and Friend #2.
After moving, I figured that Friend #2 and I would be hanging out a lot as we were already friends and didn’t really know anyone in the new city yet. This was not the case, and Friend #2 basically started avoiding me as soon as we moved. There was one instance where we had plans to meet up and she canceled last minute saying she wasn’t feeling well. I said no problem and that we could reschedule, and I went out for a grocery store run instead. As I was walking to the grocery store I ran into Friend #2 with some other people I don’t know. That was really hurtful for me and I can’t express how alone I felt my first few months in this new city. I struggled to understand what I did that made her want to avoid me like that and kept thinking that I was just a bad person.
Eventually she confessed the reason for her avoidance of me that I won’t share here because it was personal to her. I felt so relieved that I didn’t knowingly do anything to hurt her and excited to finally go back to being friends and hanging out. We never really became super close again, and we now see each other every so often and are on friendly terms but she’s met a lot of different people that she’s grown closer to (happy for her!). As for Friend #1, we message every so often and are also of course still on friendly terms. In honesty I still feel uncomfortable reaching out to both of them because of how they treated me. And moreover, I’ve lost the energy to keep reaching out when I didn’t feel that same care being reciprocated. I wish that I could be as close with them as I was before (especially with Friend #1 as she meant a lot to me in really pivotal years of our lives and will always hold a special place in my heart), and I feel sad that our friendships are kind of tainted now, but I’ve more or less accepted the situation and want to move on. There are still things that Friend #1 and #2 do that make me feel left out or bad about myself, mostly through posting and messages on social media (which has always been an issue since they started avoiding me), but that’s life and I don’t want it to affect me anymore.
Friend #1 is visiting the city me and Friend #2 live in in a week and I already feel uncomfortable about hanging out with them together or even just Friend #1 separately. It’s hard to relax around them and act like nothing happened when it really hurt me. I’m sure I’m not innocent and did things to hurt them too so maybe they feel the same way. I now chalk it all up to us being young naive and emotional teenage girls, and feel more understanding about everything because of this. But for some reason I feel I was still the one to end up as the black sheep.
I still wonder who was the asshole in this situation if there’s one? I don’t know if this made sense but just wanted to get this all off my chest

I've used the watch for a couple years, it definitely shows use. The strap is aftermarket but I'll throw in the original if you want. The peg at the end of the strap got snagged out at some point. The white one has a slight pink tinge on part (pictured) from ink on my wrist at some point. Buttons all work fine, screen itself is scratch free. Battery life is still good good, can easily get in 5+ 60min runs and all day HR monitoring/BT on. I usually just charge it when I shower. so a girl followed me on Instagram and we started talking, she told me that my "friend" gave her my insta and was extremely flirty like asking for pics and shit like that, well fast forward a week we met up at school but the girl wasn't the one from the pictures, but I said I'll kiss her, so yeah I kissed her bc of a promise, I didn't wanted to kiss her tbh and I ghosted her after that, then a guy called me that he was going to beat my ass, I ignored that guy, so a week later him and 2 of his friends jumped me when I was on my way home, I got my ass beaten and they broke my glasses and I ended with a black eye, and then they continued sending me messages on ig telling me I didn't have balls and when I asked why they jumped me they told me that I called the girl a whore, I just ghosted her , I was hospitalized for a week bcs of that, my school offers free insurance so I didn't pay anything for that, so me and my parents digged deeper on their ig we found their names and age, they were adults like 18 to 19 years old, and we found that the girl that catfished me is known on her city bc she fights a lot but when things don't go her way she plays the victim, so we pressed charges for assault and battery from the people that jumped me they were charged with 3 years and a 1000 dollar fine
