All of this is stuff you’ve already heard before so this is just my personal looks at the album, its meaning, and why it’s probably the best rap album we’ll ever see.
If you have listened to TPAB all the way through then you remember that in the final track, Mortal Man, it’s Kendrick and someone else talking. I put this together and it’s just the conversation they have so you can easily read it and see who is talking when.
This is how I interpret albums meaning: TPAB is about the issues that African Americans will face due to the neglect of the U.S. government. The idea of the butterfly is a person who has become famous, or has power. That’s why in tracks like Wesley’s Theory, the opening track, the person talking says, “When the four corners of this cocoon collide You'll slip through the cracks hopin' that you'll survive Gather your weight, take a deep look inside Are you really who they idolize? To pimp a butterfly.” A butterfly is a transformed caterpillar, so in TPAB the idea of a caterpillar is someone who the government, or really anyone for that matter, doesn’t care about. Once they become famous (transform) and have power, they are treated better or like a butterfly.
Also, fun fact about TPAB that you prob already know. The original title was going to be “To Pimp a Caterpillar.” This was because it would then abbreviate to “2PAC” instead of TPAB.
Now for the conversation:
Kendrick: “I remember you was conflicted, misusing your influence. Sometimes I did the same, abusing my power full of resentment. Found myself screaming in a hotel room. I didn’t wanna self destruct. The evils of Lucy was all around me, so I went running for answers. Until I came home, but that didn’t stop survivors guilt. Going back and forth, trying to convince myself the stripes I earned, or maybe how A-1 my foundation was. But while my loved ones were fighting a continuous war back in the dirty, I was entering a new one. A war that was based on apartheid and discrimination. Other than that, now that I finally got a chance to holla at you. I always wanted to ask you about a certain situa--, about a metaphor actually, you spoke on the ground. What you mean 'bout that, what the ground represent?”
Friend: “The ground is gonna open up and swallow the evil…”
Kendrick - “Right…”
Friend: “That's how I see it, my word is bond. I see--and the ground is the symbol for the poor people, the poor people is gonna open up this whole world and swallow up the rich people. Cause the rich people gonna be so fat, they gonna be so appetising, you know what I'm saying, wealthy, appetizing. he poor gonna be so poor and hungry, you know what I'm saying it's gonna be like... there might be some cannibalism out this mutha, they might eat the rich.”
Kendrick: “Aight so let me ask you this then, do you see yourself as somebody that's rich or somebody that made the best of their own opportunities?”
Friend: “I see myself as a natural born hustler, a true hustler in every sense of the word. I took nothin', I took the opportunities, I worked at the most menial and degrading job and built myself up so I could get it to where I owned it. I went from having somebody manage me to me hiring the person that works my management company. Kendrick: “Aight well, how long you think it take before n***** be like, we fighting a war, I'm fighting a war I can't win and I wanna lay it all down.”
Friend: “In this country a black man only have like 5 years we can exhibit maximum strength, and that's right now while you a teenager, while you still strong or while you still wanna lift weights, while you still wanna shoot back. Cause once you turn 30 it's like they take the heart and soul out of a man, out of a black man in this country. And you don't wanna fight no more. And if you don't believe me you can look around, you don't see no loud mouth 30-year old muthafuckas.”
Kendrick: “That's crazy, because me being one of your offspring of the legacy you left behind I can truly tell you that there's nothing but turmoil goin' on so I wanted to ask you what you think is the future for me and my generation today?”
Friend: “I think that n***** is tired of grabbin' shit out the stores and next time it's a riot there's gonna be, like, uh, bloodshed for real. I don't think America know that. I think American think we was just playing and it's gonna be some more playing but it ain't gonna be no playing. It's gonna be murder, you know what I'm saying, it's gonna be like Nat Turner, 1831, up in this muthafucka. You know what I'm saying, it's gonna happen.”
Kendrick: “That's crazy man. In my opinion, only hope that we kinda have left is music and vibrations, lotta people don't understand how important it is. Sometimes I be like, get behind a mic and I don't know what type of energy I'mma push out, or where it comes from. Trip me out sometimes.”
Friend: “Because the spirits, we ain't even really rappin', we just letting our dead homies tell stories for us.”
Kendrick: I wanted to read one last thing to you. It's actually something a good friend had wrote describing my world. It says: "The caterpillar is a prisoner to the streets that conceived it. Its only job is to eat or consume everything around it, in order to protect itself from this mad city. While consuming its environment the caterpillar begins to notice ways to survive. One thing it noticed is how much the world shuns him, but praises the butterfly. The butterfly represents the talent, the thoughtfulness, and the beauty within the caterpillar. But having a harsh outlook on life the caterpillar sees the butterfly as weak and figures out a way to pimp it to his own benefits. Already surrounded by this mad city the caterpillar goes to work on the cocoon which institutionalizes him. He can no longer see past his own thoughts. He's trapped. When trapped inside these walls certain ideas take roots, such as going home, and bringing back new concepts to this mad city The result? Wings begin to emerge, breaking the cycle of feeling stagnant. Finally free, the butterfly sheds light on situations that the caterpillar never considered, ending the internal struggle. Although the butterfly and caterpillar are completely different, they are one and the same. What's your perspective on that? Pac? Pac? Pac?!”

Backstory

Taylor Bennett Armstrong was born into a creatively vibrant family. His father, Benjamin Armstrong, was a dedicated artist who often spent hours in his studio, painting and sculpting. Benjamin's work was deeply inspired by classical art, and his studio was filled with references to mythological themes and ancient techniques. This environment planted the seeds of creativity in Taylor from a very young age.
Taylor’s biological mother was Techne, the goddess of art, craft, and invention, but he had no knowledge of her divine heritage. His mother left shortly after his birth, leaving Benjamin to raise Taylor on his own. Despite the absence of his mother, Taylor's early childhood was filled with love and encouragement from his father.
When Taylor was five, Benjamin met Eliza, a talented graphic designer, at an art exhibit. They quickly bonded over their shared love for art and soon married. Eliza embraced Taylor as her own, though she struggled to understand his unique, often chaotic way of thinking and creating.
Even as a young child, Taylor showed remarkable intelligence and creativity. By the age of six, he was building simple machines and drawing intricate designs. His father was both amazed and slightly concerned when Taylor began to take apart household appliances to understand how they worked. While Benjamin encouraged his son's curiosity, Eliza worried about the constant mess and occasional accidents that resulted from Taylor's experiments.

One day, while working on a particularly ambitious project in his makeshift workshop, he was visited by Oleander, a satyr sent by Camp Half-Blood. Oleander had been observing Taylor for some time, noting his extraordinary abilities and his connection to the divine.
Oleander revealed to Taylor the truth about his mother, Techne, and his demigod heritage. At first, Taylor was skeptical, thinking it was some sort of elaborate joke or fantasy. However, Oleander's ability to demonstrate his satyr powers and his deep knowledge of Taylor's unexplained talents eventually convinced him.
Explaining the situation to his family was a challenge. Benjamin, who had always suspected that there was something special about Taylor, took the news in stride. Eliza, though worried and confused, ultimately supported the decision, understanding that Camp Half-Blood could provide Taylor with the guidance he needed. Rachel was both excited and scared for her brother, worried about the dangers he might face and she would miss him.
Thankfully, despite the huge distance he and Oleander had to travel from Toronto to Long Island went calmly, for the most part, with not many delays or monsters attacking them.
Well, at least until they reached New York. After that, the whole “calm journey” was out the window. It almost seemed like all the monsters decided to wait until they were close to their destination to suddenly appear one after the other. First they had to somehow avoid a cyclops. Then they were attacked by dracanaea. And finally, they were chased by harpies until they crossed the border of Camp Half-Blood.
By some miracle, they were still alive.
What a way to be introduced to demigod life.

Present Day

Taylor's arrival at Campbell Half-Blood was… something, alright.
You know, being chased by monsters from New York to Long Island, passing out in between attacks and then waking up in the Medic Cabin feeling like you've been hit by a truck and maimed by a cat at the same time was, in short, not fun. It also didn't help the fact that he had to stay in bed to get treated for what, hours. Which, for someone like Taylor, was absolute torture. Good for him then that demigods, apparently, had magic healing and he didn't have to stay for days instead. At least Oleander was around to explain every detail about the world he's been thrust into now that he was out of danger. And as a plus, he was also claimed, so yay! He had no clue who Techne was, but he was sure he would learn soon enough.
So, what does Taylor do after getting patched up? Does he wait and rest for a bit just to make sure everything is okay with him? Does he stop for a moment to process everything that has happened to him in the last 24 hours?
No! Of course not! This is Taylor, after all. Him staying put for more than 10 minutes would be a miracle already.
Instead, he just went off on his own to see what this Camp Half-Blood was all about. He just had to get to his cabin first, which would be relatively easy with Oleander's instructions, and then he could explore this place to his heart's content!
Hopefully, Camp Half-Blood would be ready for the chaotic force Taylor would prove to be.

Best Song Of The Month Contest

Music Or Lose It hosts a monthly Best Song Of The Month contest at this musicorloseittv subreddit community. There is no cash or monetary value prize at this time. This contest is simply just for fun. Winners earn the enjoyment of being voted the best. Winners may cite the win in their biographies and social media posts.
The moderator (mod) is available to help music creators with the entry process, eligibility requirements, and deadlines. Music creators are allowed to contact the mod to ask questions about the contest anytime and mod will reply as soon as possible.
Definitions
Music creator: refers to a solo creator, band, group, choir, orchestra, or duo.
Brand identity: refers to how a creator presents themselves as an entertainer making music for the general public. For example, Simon & Garfunkel as a duo is one brand identity. Paul Simon solo is another brand identity.

Process & Deadlines

1) Discovery ◦ Each month, moderator keeps track of songs shared at this musicorloseittv community.
2) Notifying Music Creators ◦ When a likely eligible song is seen, the u/musicorloseittv profile or u/themusicfanman profile will notify the music creator of likely eligibility within the qualifying song’s post. The reply will indicate, “⏳ This song appears eligible for the Best Song Of The Month contest. Please provide the following information…” If the song is confirmed to be eligible by a mod, the mod will make a reply “🟨 This is confirmation notifying you that this song is eligible and in consideration for the Best Song Of The Month contest…” within the qualifying song’s post.
3) Determining Contestants ◦ The Music Fan man will evaluate all eligible songs by the month’s eligibility deadline. He will then at his discretion choose up to 5 songs to compete.
3) Finalists Post ◦ At this musicorloseittv community, the musicorloseittv profile will announce the top finalists (up to 5) in a post tiled “Contest: Best Song Of The Month Finalists (Insert Month & Year).” This announcement will be done in a post made 4 days before the final day of the month. The post will be made sometime in the morning. The songs will be listed within the post in a manner most representative of music diversity as determined by the musicorloseittv profile mod. All songs available on YouTube will be included in a playlist titled “Best Song Of The Month Contestants • (Insert Month & Year)” hosted by the musicorloseittv channel on YouTube. Songs not available on YouTube will be excluded from the playlist. The playlist will be mentioned in this post. The available playlist will help voters get familiar with the songs.
The u/musicorloseittv profile or u/themusicfanman profile will notify the music creators of qualifying for the contest in their post of the song. The reply will indicate, “✅ Congratulations. Your song qualifies for the Best Song Of The Month contest…”
4) Voting ◦ The “Contest: Best Song Of The Month Finalists (Insert Month & Year)” post will specify a duration of 3 consecutive dates during which music fans can vote for only 1 of the top finalists. Voting occurs by the voters making a reply to the post in the following manner: “🗳️ I vote for….” Failing to vote in this manner will result in vote not being counted. To best ensure vote accuracy, voters must not use the “🗳️” emoji anywhere else in the post’s comments section. Music creators may vote for another music creator yet may not vote for themselves. For music creators, it’s “word of honor” voting. The top vote earning song within these three days will become the winner.
‣ Community moderator profiles musicorloseittv and onesongoftheday will abstain from voting. Also, themusicfanman and any special judge involved will also abstain from voting - unless they’re needed to serve as a tie breaker, in the event of a tie preventing a clear winner. Additionally, this is a busy time of year for many people. What’s more, non-Christmas music released in December is typically overshadowed by Christmas music. I'm so sick of my friend keep on repeating that I'm transferring late from community college. I (21F) will be transferring to UC's next year at 22 and my friend keeps bringing it up and telling me I'm getting scam and shet. She has also called out my major before, my previous major was creative media/graphic design and she constantly telling me how useless it was, honestly it stressed me out so much, my parents were okay with any major I chose as long I liked it. I was exploring my options and searching what fits me. Honesty, if she was studying anything in stem , or accounting , finance , law I'll let her talk shit about it. But she's getting a degree in something as hard to get a job as me.

As a young teenager my dad had this stereo. I’d get some time at home with his setup I’d put a record on, crank it up and love it. For years it didn’t matter, family, work, and obligations! Played with sound, surround sound, cd’s, whatever seemed popular. Time passes, the those simple times come to mind. So starts my pursuit of that sound, that feeling. Now the beginning of this soon to become chase predates today’s access to information… internet, or maybe my grasp of it. I make my way to a local audio shop… the creepy little salesman is in heaven! I walk out with a Yamaha receiver, Yamaha cd player, and a cool looking pro-ject turntable, and a set of paradigm speakers. Wire it up, add some cd’s, a little vinyl…. Unreal, I was crushed, horrible. The sound disappointed me so badly, I shut it off. Not a clue, it’s a stereo .. right. Back to the salesman. Solution? Speakers!!! Let’s get you these! Next thing you know, I’ve got a set of Klipsch RF-7’s in the living room. Better!!! But the sound??? It’s really exhausting, piercing, still not there. Just, no balls, no depth, no top end. Back to the salesman. Well the reciever only puts out a hundred watts. You need more power!!!! Ok? How do I do that? “Well you need this” an Anthem power amp! “Ok” Damn! Things have come to life now, I’m happy? It’s still “bright” pitchy. Still exhausting and just not making me happy. But 5 or 6 years go by and little changes are made, but interest drops and music is just OK. Things change, life moves on, and the opportunity for a music room comes up, interest peaks out again, and the rabbit hole comes into view. Times have changed and the internet comes into play. Thoughts drop back to my teenage years and dad’s stereo. Reading through reviews, forum sites here on Reddit etc. I realize, damn, the old man must have been pretty cool! Pioneer SA-7500 Pioneer tape deck (who knows what model) HPM100’s Technics Turntable Some crazy graphic equalizer. 1978, that was some pretty cool stuff! Not wanting to get involved with the complexity’s of vintage, but I’ve got to be able to capture that sound, right? During what I realize now was a journey, the RF-7’s are gone, to big, ugly, and took to much room away from my girl!!! Not to mention the brightness, god those tweeters beating my eardrums. Still got the Yamaha, the Anthem back in the box. Settled on a set of Wharfedale Dentons without the power amp for casual listening. Now during this time of non pursuit things have changed. Technics is back, old school speakers are available. Rock boxes are back in vogue. Scoured the internet, read reviews until my head hurt. Audio store and creepy salesman is long gone. Thank god! Speakers that is what I need! Ordered a set of KLH model 5’s. Back order. Frustration grows… now the good people at KLH want to help! I’m dealing with Dave, the CEO of this speaker company! He sends me a pair of Model 3’s, to get me by until the 5’s come available! Great people, by the way. Hook em up to the Yamaha and the Anthem… horrible, horrible, right back to the Klipsch thing. Vintage, that’s got to be it!!! Only solution. Marketplace here we go, bought a pair of 70’s vintage Kenwood rock boxes. Wow, now we’re getting there! Sounds great to these now 60 year old ears, but still bright, pitchy, tiring. Time to get serious. “I’m going to do this, how hard can it be?” More internet time, more research, more pain in the center of my skull. I’ve come to realize that there is a lot to this stuff. Enter Marantz… all this dissatisfaction… speakers. It was an obsession. Natural sound… warmth… analogue. I am not what I would call an audiophile? Just a guy wanting a sound!!! Pulled the trigger, ordered a Marantz model 30 integrated amp… warm? Gotta be better right? Marantz model 30 Technics SL-100c Nagaoka mp-200 cartridge Still got the Yamaha cd player REL classic-98 sub… to help the now gone Dentons! All hooked up to the vintage Kenwood speakers. Whoooo. Awesome, I’m feeling it…. But those speakers kind of muddy (my word btw)… hook up the KLH model 3’s. These model 3’s are amazing!!! Absolutely amazing. Maybe 100 hrs. on them, broke in now. The positioning there! Sub virtually defeated. Teamed up with this Marantz model 30, using the internal phono preamp. Records are beautiful. CD’s fantastic. My god, I’m there deep in the rabbit hole…. Completely satisfied, this setup has brought me back to those stolen days with dad’s system. The KLH model 3’s are beautiful, I could stop right now, but the model 5’s will be here in July! Who knows what kind of listening pleasure those bad boys will bring!!!! Lesson’s learned? I’m not a Yamaha natural sound guy. Not real a sub lover! Marantz model 30 perfect KLH great people, great stuff! Platform(s): Downloaded on my FIRE HD 10. May have also played it on my old Kindle (unsure of the exact make). I have the default Appstore and the Google Play store on my Fire, and I know I downloaded it from one of those.
Genre: Escape Game
Estimated year of release: I don't pay much attention to creation or development dates, so all I know is I played this when was younger. That puts the timeline for anytime from the 2000s go late 2010s. Most likely from 2010s though.
Graphics/art style: Attempt at realism. Like you knew it was fake, but the backgrounds had a lot of details and were reminiscent of their real-world counterparts. It took place in nature (a forest?), so most of the art was trees and such. Also lots of rocks (some i think had symbols that were part of a puzzle) and a rivewaterfall or two. (There may have been a rock cluster similar to the Stonehenge??) It was usually pretty bright, as in they seemed to really like adding sunlight or sunbeams for light.
Notable characters: Unless I am completely mistaken, there were no other characters. I don't even remember there being animals. Just you and the wilderness.
Notable gameplay mechanics: First person. I guess you would say slideshow-style? Like most escape games make you click on arrows to move across locations/perspectives, and I remember this game being the same. There was an inventory on the left-hand side with all the items you collected. I'm fairly certain each item got its own box, so you just scrolled across the side to see everything you had (and click on what you need). There also could have been a hint button (lightbulb icon) that created a yellow/glowing circle to show where you needed to go, but that may have been a different escape game entirely. Also, I think there was a way you could use a ladder or rope to climb up one of the trees to get an important item? It was probably one of the first steps of the game. Finally, the main point: you could change seasons in this game. Sadly I cannot remember how you switched between them, but I remember it was an integral part of the game. (e.g., I'm about 85% sure that river I mentioned froze in winter time so you could walk across it.) It also took place in a forest, so the seasonal changes were very obvious.
Other details: My sibling remembers this game too, so I know I didn't just imagine it.

Hi friends, I'm not a frequent reddit user, so apologies if anything below was formatted/phrased/etc incorrectly!
tl;dr - Consistent printing misalignment across multiple firmware updates has me wondering if it's time for a new printer, or if there's some esoteric setting or troubleshooting I need to do to get my hardware to cooperate. I am looking for recommendations on a new printer, but am also open to troubleshooting tips for my current printer.
Details: My current home printer is an Epson WF-2830. One of the most common things I need it for is to print price tags for my small business. My current efforts for this involve those pre-perforated tag sheets that you're meant to print on and then tear the tags out of. This is what my current printer is doing when I try to print on these pre-perforated sheets:

This is the left hand column of the last sheet I tried to print. I did have the sheet oriented properly in the printer.
The alignment in the upper left-hand corner is already off, but would be usable. The alignment gets worse from this corner outward.

I am using templates provided by the tag manufacturer, OnlineLabels(dot)com, and doing my formatting in Adobe Illustrator. My background is in graphic design, so I know my way around Illustrator pretty well; the alignment is properly formatted within the software (see above).
Printing from Illustrator vs. exporting to .pdf or other file doesn't appear to have any effect on print alignment. I did this successfully on a former printer, which was a Laser Jet M234dwe. Kinda wishing now I'd kept that printer >_>
I am not currently looking at any specific printer models. There are so many options and I don't have much recourse if a new printer still doesn't do what I need it to, so I wanted to seek advice from people who know more about this than I do. So hi : ) I plan to retain my current Epson, so I don't even care if the new printer is multifunction (ie scanning and whatnot) as long as it will allow me to print my hanging tags for work.

Hi everyone, I am attempting to put together a new build but have hit a snag. The PC turns on, but the red DRAM light comes on and no visual displays ever appear on screen. This is true using integrated graphics from the cpu or from a video card. The video card is from a different PC so is known to work.
NOTE: I made a mistake and removed the cpu cooler improperly after installing with thermal paste; i didn’t twist the fan to detach, and it pulled the CPU out of the socket and unseated it. I’m worried this may have broken something, but I did not see evidence of bent pins
I have:

• tried different RAM sticks in different configurations
  
• Reset the BIOS by removing CMOS battery for 10 minutes
  
• Looked for bent pins in the processor socket (saw none)
  

It seems to me that likely the motherboard or processor is faulty, but I’ve no idea how to determine which it is. I do not have other compatible parts to test with, so my only real option is to purchase replacements, which means I’d really like to be getting the proper replacement.

So I've made the chess board (put it in java to see what it looks like) and I've uploaded png files of the chess pieces. But now I don't know how to do the next step, drawing and moving the pieces on the board.
My assignment requires the use of abstract or interface but I just don't know where to go from there. In the past I was given shell code to work off of but now I just don't know what to do. Can someone give me a nudge or help me make a plan?

I had watched this movie once when it came out, then again just the other day with a friend. And we were discussing the ending, pitching to each other what we thought about meant. As it show's 3 similar scenes with different outcomes, the middle outcome being him committing suicide.
At first I looked at it as a passage of time montage, so my take that he continued to life his life normally for a while, then decided he couldn't do it any longer, and finally we get a glimpse of his version of the afterlife. Which I don't think is necessarily the worst interpretation. But with the last image of the movie being Petra smiling in a white background, it didn't feel as a particularly satisfying interpretation.
So then I finally decided to give up and search for what other people thought coming to this fantastic analysis by The Love Pirate, in which he or her or they? say this " She gives him a final kiss and leaves, and we see three possible endings for Zimit, each beginning with him walking down the hall to his office and taking a seat at his desk. First, he simply opens his lunch and eats a sandwich, going on with his life as normal. In the second one he pulls a gun out his drawer and we hear a gunshot, the assumption being that he ended his life rather than go on without Petra. In the third, he sits at his desk and has a vision of Petra smiling, symbolizing that he might have learned something from her in this final class and is following her example."
That last sentence stuck in my mind, and I began to think "what if it's deeper than that?" I started thinking about how there were 3 doomsday scenarios, and 3 endings for Zimmit. And was trying to figure out if there was a parallels for each of the endings and each iteration of the thought experiments. And this is what I came up with when re-examining the final scenes of the movie based on the inspiration of The Love Pirate.
After Petra give Mr. Zimmit her goodbye kiss , both of them relax on opposite sides of a wall. Petra staring ahead, while Mr. Zimmit leans his head into the wall, as if he does still love her and explains the etymology of the word Apocalypse. "To uncover what you couldn't see before, a way out of the Dark."
The entire movie so far has been Mr. Zimmit trying to convince Petra time and time again using logic that James isn't the best decision for her to make as a life choice. He acts over attached, and petty about being broken up with, and has been hyperfocused on getting her to see things from his perspective.
When Mr Zimmit is explaining it,he's humbly and sheepishly apologizing for his behavior, but also thanking Petra for helping him out of his selfish mindset. He didn't stop to think about living life from anyone else's philosophy other than his own that was ruled by cold hard logic.
To which Petra replies, "Your sweet talk still needs work." A playful jab, but it's clear she doesn't hate him or demonize him for what he had done that day. In a way she's even saying with a little work, he'd still get be capable of being happy in life even if it's not with her. It's a student becomes the teacher moment when he replies. "I'll work on that."
In that last line Petra reassures him that he's a very good teacher. She had learned a lot from him and is grateful for the experience despite the lows, she still values him greatly.
At this point, what I think is happening, Erik Nimmit on the spot starts running himself thru the three scenarios using Petra's philosphy, a basic test of empathic thinking.
He walks up the stairs , sits in his office and takes a bite out of his sandwich, but he's thinking about the conflict that drove them apart in the first thought experiment. Petra couldn't trust him. From her perspective he executed everyone who didn't make the cut for the bunker with no witnesses. He identified as a wild card, and even though Petra was using the emotion of fear to make that decision, It was still a logical decision to make.
Him eating the sandwhich is him envisioning himself the outcome of being an untrustworthy partner. Alone in his office living life day to do without someone. The consequence of who he is inside.
He walks up the stairs, this time retrieving a handgun from his drawer and ending his life. The parallel to what he had done in the second iteration would be the likely outcome of if Zimmit used that same brutal logic in real life. If his logic would compel him to force people to have multiple partners , sleep with someone who wasn't all that keen on them to sleep with him, or force gay people to sleep with people they weren't attracted too. His logic would make him so ugly even to himself that he'd end his life.
Finally Mr Zimmit walks up the stairs, and closes his eyes. Remembering Petra. I no longer thing that this was some after life vision. But him thinking about her being happy in her future life. The white backround doesn't seem ethereal... it seems cold, and she's wearing a sweater.
In the third scenario Petra fully takes over the thought experiment, She says, In my apocolypse no life is more valuable than another. Logic alone can not make your life more meaningful, contrasting to one of the the first statements Mr. Zimmit makes in the movie. That most people are nutters by the age of 40. He had spent the entire movie looking down on people with a lower intellect, or different sexualities, or their life circumstances or situations, In a way to make himself more attractive to Petra. And finally he realized how ugly it made him, and Petra was the one who taught him that. Now he could finally move on, and be happy for her future even if he wouldn't be in it.
But I'd love to hear from any other fans of this movie , do you think i'm onto something here?

The klaxons shattered the silence of the station, blaring through all of the corridors and reverberating off the bulkheads. The cacophony of sounds, as the entire crew leapt from their bunks and quickly grabbed their most prized, or irreplaceable, possessions, grew in intensity as the red lights flared in an oscillating sequence.
The crew were halfway through packing before the klaxons were punctuated by instructions: “All hands, prepare to abandon station. M’quezniok Battle Cruiser is inbound. Repeat: M’quezniok Battle Cruiser inbound. Take only what you must and make your way to the nearest escape craft.”
The drills had been effective. All hands of the terraforming station were accounted for in the various slipstream escape craft within 7 minutes of the initial detection of the inbound warship.
All possessions were secured within another 3 minutes and the small fleet of vessels were free of the atmosphere 5 minutes later. In formation they slid silently through the blackness and away from the approaching insatiable appetite of conquest.
27 hours later, the twinkling effect began at the bow of each vessel as they pierced the veil of reality and speared their way into the void between the planck lengths of spacetime.
Earth Command received them a mere 49 hours, 29 minutes, and 37 seconds after the last of the escape craft abandoned the terraforming station.
The station became another dot on the map of conquest of the M’quezniok, a line that seems to be expanding in all directions away from their homeworld much faster than the humans can build up and sort of defensive perimeter.
The M’quezniok culture lacks subtlety and nuance; it lacks empathy. It only has room for measurable strength and their measure lies in whether or not property can be taken and held. If it can, it belongs to whomever can do so… and that someone, in their eyes, should always be them. They have no mercy and eradicate all citizens of colonies that they conquer. They raze every building that cannot be readily adapted to their purposes. They devour any animals that they cannot use for brute force. They are ruthless and their culture lies entirely in the glory of the expansion of their empire, in an unsustainable need for personal edification for each military commander.

The ground forces commander entered the station ahead of her troops. There were no humans here. They fled like the cowards they were, well in advance of the arrival of her ship. There was no honorable conquest to be had at this location, just the claiming of an abandoned complex. As such, since there were no spoils of individual combat for any of her crew to claim, the entire base was hers for the first-taking. None of her crew dared touch anything in a way that might suggest an interest in it for, the appearance for claiming spoils out of turn could result in punishments far greater than any rewards to be found here.
The Commander walked through the terraforming station, going through bunk after bunk, finding nothing of value and even less of military value. There were no secrets here. There were no riches here. There were… clothes, little trinkets, manuals for the equipment, nasty human food. The commander was greatly disappointed in the raid but, in order for her crew to split the meager offerings that were present, she had to take SOMETHING. So she chose a box on the floor at her feet. This room, like all the others, was a no-frills crew bunk. Like the others there was nothing of apparent value in it. So, she took the box and declared that it was the entirety of her prize. The crew cheered and vanished into the station, each one searching for anything that they might deem of value for their own trophies.
The Commander took the box and returned to her quarters where she opened it to see what personal secrets it may have, what stories of the former crew member who fled the station like a coward at her approach. She found, much to her shock and utter amazement, a vast collection of tales of superior warriors. Brave individuals who, in the times of greatest need for the human civilization, had risen to the challenges within their own society to defeat the misguided evils that sought to undermine the human way of life as it existed then and as she knew it to exist now. These stories, laid out in a bizarre format that seemed to mix a form of graphic depictions alongside the human language as text, reminded the Commander of many struggles within her own empire’s history; times when it took massive competing armies to determine which philosophy should rule their future; times when the death tolls where high and the waste of resources on putting down rebellions was tremendous. The Commander reviewed these documents left behind by the unknown crew member of the human terraforming station and pondered where these great heroes of humanity were, if not already devastating the front lines of M’quezniok fleet.
That’s when it occurred to her. The humans were giving the M’quezniok a chance to prove themselve worthy of living. They were giving the M’quezniok an opportunity to stop their conquest against the humans on their own before they unleashed their most powerful military forces. The Commander, stunned by her realization, dropped the volume of deeds and turned to her communications terminal.
“We have made a grave mistake in violating human space” she began her message. “I have uncovered a volume of histories which outline the capacity that humans have when situations exceed their tolerance. I have uncovered this box, quite by accident, as an item of abandoned loot in my most recent raid. Please review the contents, as I have put them into the end of the this transmission. Consider that all we know of humans through direct contacts is corroborated in these volumes: they always try to allow those who have wronged them to change their ways and, only when those ways are not changed, does it appear that they will unleash tremendous force to utterly defeat and destroy their foes. Note, in sample 17, that the humans in the story, after being unable to reach a peaceful accord with their opponents, wiped and entire sentient race from the cosmos to end the conflict with them. Note in samples 3, 9, and 47, that they have the mind to develop weapons that can be silently deployed among their enemies and which will only affect their enemies, causing them to die of disease whether the battle reaches them or not. Note that, in samples 5, 9, and 62, that the humans have a history of boarding enemy vessels in small numbers and converting the vessels themselves into weapons to destroy huge components of the enemy fleet. Most importantly, in all of the above examples, note that humans will often sacrifice themselves without promise of lasting glory or honor or riches to merely inflict harm on their opponents. There is no methodology of these tales that makes sense in our culture and that, we should all agree, makes the humans infinitely more dangerous than we previously expected. More than all of the previous, note that the humans have the capacity, when needed, to reveal their strongest military assets; single individuals who carry the power of an entire legion of our finest soldiers. Single fighters who can destroy warships without any equipment or weaponry. Single individuals who, according to these volumes, have the ability to turn our very minds against us if we face them in battle. As you are all aware, it has appeared that the humans have given up all efforts to defend themselves against us and the war is, essentially, over. There is no more honor or glory to be found in fighting humans. We arrive, they retreat. We arrive, they abandon what they have built. We arrive, and they fall back, taking all of their observations of us with them. As you can see from volumes 1, 6, 19, 33, 42, 54, 68, 71, and 98, this is when their greatest warriors emerge. It is my tactical advice that the abandonment of this specific box of intelligence on human culture was left as a final warning to us; a warning that, should we continue our actions against them, we will pay the consequences as they unleash their greatest technology and soldiers against us. If you agree, order all Conquestors to halt their advancement and return to the edge of our space.

Humanity Space Command received the transmission. The statement of complete cessation of M’quezniok incursions and a promise that the last 79 encounters, in which humans had abandoned the facilities before the M’quezniok could even arrive to start fighting, would be surrendered peacefully, and permanently, back to human control.
The message indicated that the worlds conquered by force would be the new, permanent, boundary between the two empires and that humanity need not fear for any future incursions. The message also outlined that, should humanity absolutely require it so as to not unleash their greatest warriors in retribution, a list of worlds could be presented as negotiable assets that could be returned.
Human Space Command was baffled. Astounded, pleased, elated, even… but more than anything else, baffled. The best humanity had been able to offer was defeated in every dispute against the M’quezniok. Their individuals were faster, stronger, and harder to kill than humans. Their weapons were more powerful. Their defensive technology vastly outclassed anything humanity could throw at them. Their declaration of cessation simply made no sense and their outlines that they wished to avoid humanity unleashing their greatest warriors and technology as retribution made even less sense. But the top brass of HSC was not about to continue a war in which humanity had no hope of winning when the opposition declared they were done.
The HSC’s final conference on the subject, prior to transmitting the acceptance of the M’quezniok’s declaration, ended with a compound question: “who is this Lois Lane and why do they want her to be the liaison should we have to open negotiations?”

Okay, so long story short marriage wasn’t ideal with wife, we made a child together and I love him tremendously, but a few years in she got paranoid about me cheating (and I didn’t) there were just rumors from folks wanting a good story to tell. So she asked to move to apartment and hour or so away from our town, but when she didn’t have to work she’d be back home with the family. To keep peace and to do as she needed, I complied. I wanted my marriage to work regardless, we’ve known each other since we were kids.
So the bright side of this was we get to date each other again which is kinda fun. One weekend she’s working and staying in her apartment, she asked me to drive up and have a date after work. I’m so excited, I shower get all ready plan out how our kid can stay with a grandparent and I go. It’s a really good night, really, so I hope this isn’t too graphic but we had been arguing about adding another child to the family, and I was so happy to be with her well, not to be too graphic but I tried to do it twice and did. I didn’t care if she got the kid she wanted even though I wasn’t excited about it , I was excited that maybe this weird and awful part of my marriage was done .
Cue to a few weeks later, she seems really off, worse than usual and she doesn’t want to be in the apartment at all she’d work 14hr shifts and still drive an hour back home. But I get some exciting news, I get promoted to a new job, I’d be traveling and teaching stuff with my company. And she’s home with us most of the time which is good. The day I was to drive 4 hours to start my new work. She tells me that she’s pregnant.
After our date this didn’t sound odd at all, I wasn’t happy about the second kid but new job and training folks. I left for work.
But things get more and more odd, her first pregnancy she was so happy, just delighted to be carrying my child. So 2 months passed by but she felt like I was right our family could not sustain another kid, she mentioned abortion multiple times which was odd. But I was okay with it. But she’d go to the clinics for appointments then tell me that she couldn’t do it and she’d leave the clinic, I told her it was her choice. Anyway, things felt so wrong, I had an intrusive thought. What if it’s not mine? By this point it was 6 months.
So I probe, I dig, I naw at it, I couldn’t stop. Finally after a while she told me it may not be. I felt like death, I wanted her to go. I wanted her gone. But then she said it, she was SA one night and didn’t knows what to do. She just said the lock on her apartment broke and there was a party downstairs, she was tired from work, and one of them cat called her on the way up. I’ll spare any more gory details.
This entire event broke me as a person. Up was down, right was left. I cried balling for a whole day over what happened to my wife. But I still needed to know. I paid almost 2 grand to find out who’s kid it was all the while doing my best for her although this broke me. We got the results, it’s not mine. I spend another day weeping. But I had to explain this as I could to my parents. Because the kid woulda been mixed and we are both white.
And we live in a small town, news would spread, and is vehement that she doesn’t want folks to know she was SA’d, and before anyone chimes in with “lol naw brah” go fuck yourself, you didn’t see the fear in her eyes when she told me. She had a more successive career she coulda just left with someone else.
Anyway kid is born, and my dad told me it doesn’t matter, you love her that’s your baby, so I do that. As far as he knows I’m his only father. He’s still pretty young. But this whole ordeal broke me. I started to drink a lot. Eventually and yeah this is too long. She asked for another full separation. But still wants sex but I can date and fuck other girls I do.
But I stopped having sex with her six months ago and am ready to move on , when I’ve tried to do this before it gets ugly af, threatens to take away the kids etc, but I met someone I really like and am ready to move along. How can I do that without her going ballistic on me?

I’ve seen a good amount of discourse on some of the puzzles in KEY, but I wanted to share my thoughts on a few specific puzzles (good and bad) to see if other people shared my struggles/opinions.

1. The locked book in the cafe - The graphic design for this clue is incredibly flawed in my opinion. Why would you have lines drawn from one point of the compass to a specific number if you didn’t want players to conclude that number is connected to that specific point. (Looking at you, 4). I spent probably two hours on this puzzle thinking I was supposed to count the number of pictures on the wall or plants in a specific corner…not cool.
   
2. Coffee making - aside from the wonky mechanics that take some getting used to and the annoying flipping back and forth to different recipes, I didn’t mind this puzzle. I honestly kinda like the fact that the latte art is so frustrating because it has created a hilarious meme for the game that I think every ND game needs. I lowkey feel like HER made it infuriating on purpose for this reason.
   
3. The gold artifact in the museum - I feel like this one might be more user error on my end, but I really did not understand that I was supposed to search for Rs around the town, nor did I think I was supposed to click the little button at the bottom to trigger the mechanism. I swear I had the right combination for so long but kept second guessing myself because I assumed it would open on its own.
   
4. The trunk in the antique store - I just couldn’t find the little button on the side and it stumped me for a good hour, but I will say once I got it open, the gem sliding puzzle was very fun and a very unique puzzle that I quite enjoyed.
   
5. The puppet show - Frustrating, but not enraging like some of the other puzzles. I think some more hints as to what props were needed could have helped a lot without making it too easy.
   
6. The jewelry safe - I understand what they were trying to do, and I think it was a very good puzzle, but it definitely needed better guidance from the clues in the store. I don’t know how anyone could have solved this without the strategy guide or hints, but kudos to you if you did.
   
7. The dean’s wall - I was so excited when I finally realized this was like the Bento puzzle in SAW and I knew exactly what I supposed to do, only to be incredibly disappointed when I had a correct solution about 3 different times, but it wasn’t the EXACT solution the game would accept. Very defeating.
   
8. The alchemy puzzle - I was losing steam at this point so maybe I could have solved this on my own, but I struggled a lot with understanding what the book was trying to tell me and eventually looked up the solution after about 30 minutes. BUT this puzzle was pretty fun once I knew what I needed to do and I really appreciate what they were trying to do.
   
9. The riddles in the alchemy book - I really liked the candle puzzle and the moon/knight puzzle, but once I got to the clock puzzle I just threw my hands up and said absolutely not and almost immediately looked up the solution lol
   
10. The key weight puzzle - My only complaint about this is that I don’t think it makes logical sense in real life? If you don’t know how much one key weighs, you have no idea what the order would be, right? So if you have to get solution by random guessing until Nancy says “that’s right!” How does Nancy know?
    

Okay, I think I’ll leave it with those 10 for now, but would really love to know y’all’s thoughts as well!

I (f18) started my YouTube channel when I was 13, I uploaded two vlogs, got 18 subs, then never touched it again content-wise until I was 16, I uploaded really randomly until I was 17 and had a schedule. I'm currently at 634 subs, one of those subs had been one of the original 18 and he started stalking me, I'm not going to put his account name or mine obviously, I made this new account so he'd leave me alone on my Reddit account associated with my YT. He commented on my old videos often during the years I was inactive, and was excited that I returned, he didn't. Stop. Commenting.
I'm serious, he was extremely quick to comment once something new was posted and he was there within minutes, and would comment every time he rewatched. Over time he just got really creepy, his comments were usually harmless but typed in a frantic way like: "5th watch so happy you are back are you filming now when are you posting next I miss you a lot hey do you like (random media)? I like it do you want to talk? We can talk I want to talk" but then it was more like: "I love you :) you are so funny and sweet and totally hot I mean so hot I want to touch you you would be a good wife I bet ;) you should talk to me soon want to touch me too?". Now, it's not lost on me that this could've been a real weird kid but HE had content too, and he had to be in his early/mid 20s, and stupidly I would talk about my age, so he knew I was a minor. His comments on my 18th birthday post was even worse god.
One of his worst (sexually) and most recent comments was on a video of 13 yo me talking about 13 yo me, I won't tell you what it said, but it was graphic and ended up getting removed from YT. Now he sexually harasses me non stop, I've had to of blocked like 12 different accounts that were his on YouTube alone, he tried to dox me, he threatened to r-pe me, and now he found my Facebook that I don't even use and has been asking my family where I live now pretending to be a person I went to school with.
I went through his original Twitter one time, all he did was talk creepy about different women, talk all schizo and reposted everything I posted, he liked almost exclusively porn and my posts, some of his reposts where quote tweets that said "Watch my girlfriend", " My girlfriend is gorgeous", "She loves me are you all jealous?", "I own her none of you do".
Just needed to vent, I feel like I'm going insane, I just want him to go the fuck away.
