So I have an alternator on a car that’s been sitting for a few years. I can actually take the alternator apart while it’s still on the car. There is access to the back of it.
-with a battery charged to 12v, the alternator puts out zero additional voltage. This is tested with a multimeter at the positive and negative directly on the alternator, as well as to the battery. Revving the engine or adding load with the lights on does nothing.
-alternator grounds are good. Battery terminals are good.
-basically the alternator is spinning, but adding zero extra voltage
I understand a diode can lower voltage, but what are the odds all the diodes are gone…
Brushes seems clean and have good contact
The three wires in a plug to the alternator all have 12v when ignition is on.

QUESTION!! do i only need one heat bulb for a leo on the hot side or do i need 2-3 for the hot warm and cold side? and idk how the bulbs work so even if the light is off will it still give off heat or will i need the lights to be on 24/7

A 20W LED bulb on at night, window type AC on for 24hrs, 2 refrigerators on indefinitely, electric fan on for 24hrs, TV on 24hrs, laptop plug in when low battery, internet router plugged in indefinitely, induction cooker, rice cooker and electric kettle when in use, cellphones plug in when low battery or some LED light bulbs on at night? Coz honestly, people here at our house always ranting that we need to turn off the lights because they believe that lights are the one consumes more electricity. Turning on the lights is for our safety to avoid trespassing people at gate, and also to light our house. Specially the 20W LED bulb, it is big deal to them. I always said that LED lights are not consuming more electricity. What do you think?

Hi! I was using Ulta's Adjustable Coverage Foundation but they discontinued almost all the shades! I was light medium. I switched to NYX's Can't Stop Won't Stop Mattifying Pressed Powder, not realizing that there was a difference between "powder" and "foundation." Looking for something with a little more coverage, as the NYX one just kind of does nothing or looks powdery if you put on too much. Thank you!!

Check engine light went on a week ago, ABS light came on 2 days ago, car won’t start. Checked the codes with an OBD-2 and 0 codes found.
I ignored the check engine light assuming it was another warning about my catalytic converter, that’s a problem I know about and have been talking to my mechanic friend about. But now it seems that was a very bad idea as my car isn’t starting. I don’t really know how to describe what the car is doing either.
Any ideas of what could be going on?

Ive been flashed 3 times now turning right on that red light. So far I’ve just gotten this is a warning mail, so i haven’t followed up with it, but it seems a consistent issue. I don’t have the same problem on cypress or any of the others and I’ve known a couple other people who have also gotten flashed at this same light. Why are we putting more cameras around town if they’re so faulty? Im going to fight it if I end up getting a ticket down the line but I don’t know if it’ll do any good.

I am a teacher (26f) and I like another teacher at work (28m). I noticed him back at the beginning of the school year but we didn’t get to interact all that much so I never gave him much thought.
Fast forward to a couple months ago in March, I was having a pre-spring break hangout with some of my coworkers that I work closely with. Turns out, one of them invited him and a couple other newer teachers to join us and he (let’s call him John) ended up joining. We were bowling so we didn’t have a long singular conversation, but we were in and out of smaller conversations with everyone. Before that, we had never truly interacted. At the end of the night, I was heading home but he called me while I was driving and I was confused, thought I maybe left my wallet or something. He said that my other coworkers who I see everyday and him are getting some food, and wanted to see if I wanted to join. I politely declined since I needed to go home but since then, he piqued my interest. Why would he call me? If anything, it would be one of my close coworkers who would have done that.
Fast forward a month later to April, I organized another outing with my close coworkers and he was also invited. It was a group hangout, but I learned about him through conversation with him, and with others. One of the things I learned is that he had just ended a 5 year relationship in December.
Forward to beginning of May, it got to the point where I was thinking about him all the time! We were interacting more often, running into him at the school but we don’t have common free time so we never really hung out, it was all short conversations in passing.
I decided to be brave a couple weeks ago and asked him out in person when we had a brief window of down time! He said he would like to go out and see e agreed that he would text me. A few days go by and he doesn’t reach out, so I text about something work related and then ask if he was still interested. He said yes and proposed a date/time. I wasn’t free, so I propose another and then he never replied. He follows up in person two days later saying he had a lot going on at work (planning an event) but he said maybe next weekend. He never follows up on that via text so I text him a few days later proposing I take him out after work the day of his event to celebrate a job well done and he agrees!
Our date was on a Wednesday and went as well as could be realistically expected. We stay from 5-9 and enjoy light food and two drinks each. Conversation is great, we both laughed a lot and learned a lot about each other. I end it with making it known that I put myself out there asking him out, not sure he would say yes. He applauds me for it and shares that he said yes because he thought it would be fun. I then ask if he’d want to do it again sometime and he said yes, but adds in the footnote that he’s still dealing with a lot of work stuff and working through his recent breakup, but that he thinks I’m cool and we connected on a lot and would like to go out again. I tell him I would prefer for him to reach out to set that up since I feel like I’ve been very forward and don’t want to pressure him or make it weird since we work together. We then walk to our cars together and we share an awkward, but somehow perfect, hug.
Two days after our date, I send him a song in the morning via text that we discussed on our date. I see him as I walk into work and we share a brief conversation and thanks me for sending the song.
It’s been a week since then and I haven’t gotten any other follow up texts, but we have run into each other a couple times at work. All interactions have been friendly!
My questions are:
does he know it was a date? does he know I’m interested? have I come off too strong? do I follow up again, or let him come to me this time? how do I proceed if we do end up going out again? (I don’t want to go too hard too fast since he does have a lot going on) is he just being nice and friendly, or doesn’t want to say no to be polite? how to I ease my anxiety when I don’t hear from him?

Lost the battery for my 2008 lx civic 2dr now it will crank but turns off immediately like you can pump the gas but it just stalls immediately. Can crank over and over again and it does the same thing. Lights and radio work no problem windows and door locks work but car is dying like writhing a second or 2. Does anybody know if the 08 has a chip key or what would cause this stall?
