I'm the developer of WalkScape! My game is an online RPG that is inspired by RuneScape, where all of the in-game progression happens by walking in real life.
I myself have struggled to exercise enough, and I'm diagnosed with ADHD. This project started off as something I was working for myself to help me exercise more. The game has been in Closed Beta since January 18th, and the player feedback so far has been awesome!
There are three key things that make the game very unique for a mobile game, in addition to just being a nice and cozy game that incentivizes you to walk:

• No GPS. Unlike games like Pokemon Go, WalkScape uses pedometer instead of GPS. This means you can walk where ever you like, including at your home or gym on a treadmill. And doesn't compromise your privacy.
  
• No MTX or ads. I'm against all kind of predatory trends in gaming, especially predatory monetisation. WalkScape is completely community funded with Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee with no external investments.
  
• Not hungry for your attention. WalkScape doesn't even need to be opened in the background for you to gain progress in it. The game is designed in a way where you only need to open it after your exercise, and if you forget to the game it doesn't punish you. It saves your "missed steps" for later.

A Pet Cape of Accomplishment in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) would be a prestigious and highly coveted item. Given that pets are rare and often require significant effort to obtain, the rewards associated with this cape could be quite substantial. Here are some tiered rewards and benefits that might be appropriate for such a cape:

Tier 1: 5 Pets

• Cape Stats: Decent combat stats, similar to a Fire Cape.
• Special Ability: Summon any of the pets owned for cosmetic purposes.
• Emote: Unique pet-themed emote.

Tier 2: 10 Pets

• Cape Stats: Improved combat stats, similar to an Infernal Cape.
• Special Ability: Double drop rate for obtaining pets from bosses and skilling.

• Emote: A majestic display of pets with special effects and animations.

Tier 5: 25 Pets

• Cape Stats: Best-in-slot cape stats, comparable to a Max Cape or slightly better.
• Special Ability: Small chance to receive an extra roll for loot on bosses and skilling activities.
• Emote: The ultimate pet emote, featuring all pets owned in a grand display.

Tier 6: 30+ Pets

• Cape Stats: Ultimate cape stats, best-in-game with a unique design.
• Special Ability: Passive bonuses such as increased XP gain in various skills when a pet is active, small healing effects from pets, or teleportation abilities.
• Emote: The most spectacular emote involving an epic display of all pets, potentially with interactive elements.

Additional Features:

• Pet Storage: Access to a special interface or location where all pets can be viewed and managed.
• Pet Training: Ability to train pets to provide small benefits like minor combat assistance, skilling boosts, or utility functions.
• Pet Transmogrification: Change the appearance of pets to unique variants unlocked through achievements or quests.

This tiered system would not only provide incremental rewards for pet collectors but also encourage continued engagement with the game as players strive to unlock the next level of the Pet Cape of Accomplishment.

Hey, gotten back into RuneScape again. I’m doing the inferno because I’ve got a cape and just like the challenge. Plus I like the challenge. Idk how to explain it but now when I’m alternating my prayers kind of “freeze” and I lose a tick and just get stacked out in the 60s. Can someone explain to me their method of 1t alternating????? A buddy of mine recommended that I start playing since I was bored of pretty much all games and was really just in discord watching YouTube most of the time. I’ve heard of RuneScape but had never played it as a kid and really knew nothing about it besides “it looked like crap” (what I told my buddy). He would stream his endevours in the corrupted gauntlet (400 KC and no enhanced the poor soul) and didn’t get the hype.
I got it and really didn’t expect to play more than a day or 2 and thought I would get bored rather quick. A month and a half later, I have full graceful, fire cape, barrows gloves and feel an itch when I’m do wasting when I could be AFKing at crabs or NMZ.
I never understood why my buddy was obsessed with a “crap graphics 20 year old game” and now my eyes are open. This game is truly fun from the various grinds, the bosses (Jad hands are real), the quests, even the community (besides the bots in revenant caves). I’ve been missing out for many years but I am finally enjoying what may be the best MMO ever made.

All for me to get bipolar disorder and say fuck it and sit inside and play old school RuneScape all day

I was born in Chapel Hill at UNC and despite spending most my of youth growing up in the section 8 housing, or "the PJs", slang for "the projects", in Benson I spent a few years living in Garner. I lived in the apartment complex, and the apartment literally, across the street from the public library (where I spent an insane amount of time with my friends after RuneScape was released). We used to print Dragon Ball Z pics off there at $0.10/copy, though we did print off a lot more than we paid for because those sweet old librarians loved our long haired up to no good asses, and sold them for $0.25/copy at North Garner middle where I was going to school at the time.
I was still living with my biological mother who in hindsight is the human equivalent of dumpster juice. She sucked the joy out of every room she stepped in and made my life hell. So one night, laying in my top bunk in the apartment across the street from the Garner Public Library, I felt a sense of restlessness and a longing to just get away. I yelled out in a pain that I concocted in my brain and began to wrench and flail in the most sincere and agonizing pain that I could pretend to feel. I heard the pounding footsteps of an angry parent approaching my door so I doubled down. "What is it now?", the she-beast asked angrily. It took a good 45 minutes of my most convincing performance before she acted like a mother and drove me to the children's ER at WakeMed. I was exactly where I wanted to be; away from "home" and with unimpeded access to Crash Bandicoot on PlayStation in the lobby. But the real prize was after getting called back: movies, ice cream, jello, pudding, video games, nurses being so nice to you. I had it made. But that fun would ultimately come to an end as they found nothing wrong with me.
Fast forward a day and I am laying my top bunk and......OMG IT HURTS AGAIN. Screaming and crying in pain that I had once again faked just so I could relive the glory days of the previous night. Different from the night before is that after finally being heard footsteps approached my door, not the pounding feet of a woman regretful of having children.
"Is it really hurting that bad, I will call an ambulance", the she-beast asked.
"Oh shit, an ambulance ride and a night at the childrens hospital?", I thought. I decided now was the time to make her feel like a mom. "Mom, please, it hurts so bad, please hold me." I got my ride to the hospital. I don't remember a lot from that night because ya boy was fucked up on vanilla ice cream and orange colored vhs tapes but I do remember a finger up the pooper (stool sample) and being told I was going to have to stay a while.
A while ended up being 7 days exactly and it was 7 of the most glorious days of my life. Time away from things and people that I wanted to be away from, hot girls and old women (nurses) telling me I am the cutest thing they've ever seen and bringing me jello cups and juice boxes on demand, video game systems and tons of games wheeled into my room, also on demand, tv on all day long, nobody telling me to go to bed or screaming at me. What an amazing 7 days,
That's when I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and spent a lot of time at UNC.

Last time I was here I asked for everyone’s favorite weapon and there were so many great responses and stories and it was a fantastic time reading everyone’s tales of obtaining their first Abby whip or how a weapon was passed onto them by a friend or just something they enjoyed using.
It made me wonder, then. If the weapons have such stories attached, surely there must be more. Tales of grandeur and combat, of companions and mysteries. So now I come to you all and ask: What is your favorite runescape moment?
Perhaps it was a show of kindness in a moment of weakness, or a show of force when one was strong. Maybe overcoming adversity to finally finish a challenging quest, or a simple accomplishment which laid the foundation for your successes. Perhaps it was the boon of a god, or the death of a devil. No matter what it was, please share it!
For me, it had to be when I was doing the Dragon Slayer quest way back when. I was still young, then. Ambitious, foolish, and backed into a corner. I was beaten, so I trained hard. I fought the giants, I fished the lobbies, it was my first taste of failure and it was bitter. After some time, I came back and fought again. My defense held strong, my strength overwhelmed the beast, my attacks struck true. Soon he was little more than bones at my feet, and I walked back into the champions guild and wore that rune platebody with pride.

Hello! And thanks for clicking on me. So I’ve posted here before with pretty good success, but it’s been a few years and I think it’d be cool to shout into the void once again and see who shouts back.
I’ve been feeling a little lost lately. Maybe it’s just part of getting older. I always felt like I’d have a lot more figured out by the time I was here, haha. Anyway, why am I here? I think it’s be cool to find someone, or someones to talk to! About whatever. I’m something of an introvert. Meeting people is hard! Primarily looking for friends, but I guess in the off chance there’s a vibe I’m not opposed to that either. It would be cool to talk to people living in Colorado, but I’m open to just internet friends too!
So about me. I’m a 32 year old weirdo, I live in Colorado with my two senior dogs (I love them more than life itself). I like animals way more than I like people most days. I work a boring office job, but I get to do it remotely so pants are mostly optional. I do like that part. I play some video games, it would be cool to have someone to play with! I’ll play basically anything. I’m shamefully proud of my maxed old school RuneScape account. I also like reading and writing, I mostly read boring nonfiction - most recently I read Bernie Sanders’ books, a book about how much the cops suck and I’m currently reading a book about the Vietnam war. So maybe those books are a good segue haha, I’m pretty political and I enjoy talking politics or more generically about philosophy and the world we live in. I’m a progressive and those values are pretty important to me. I spend most of my time at home or out walking the dogs. I play games or read or watch documentaries about serial killers or water my plants. Home is cozy and I like cozy.

Hello folks, I think some of the reddit folks remember my post from a few months ago which was a list of all the currently active RS3 YouTube Content Creators (which has already changed since some people have become active again), if you haven't here is the link. I had previously posted a similar spotlight post of some of the best RS3 videos for the Month of March and April an wanted to keep it to a monthly theme and have created this May centered post.
These are my opinions but I will provide the title of the video, the name of the creator, a summary of the video and the link of said video.
These videos will be listed based on the alphabetical order of the titles and is not a ranking guide since some of these videos are basically raw and unpolished. Please note a majority of these creators do not make RS3 Content as a profession and they post these videos as a passion project for the game we all enjoy and play, RuneScape 3. If you haven't heard of Pup, you've been living under a rock for the last few years in RuneScape. Known as one of the best PvM'ers, a notorious Clue Chaser, recently Animation Expert and a multitude of other titles that he has probably had over the years he's played the game, has done something that has long been attempted but not achieved. He has reached sub one minute for the Raksha boss solo. The reason why this is so impressive is that most people consider this as the hardest boss to solo in RuneScape 3 to date and that sub one minute would take another few years with the additional power creep that naturally happens. I recommend watching the video to see all the perfect dodges, ability usages and timing of rotations to see this impressive feet be completed.

This particular video I have highlighted for the month is his bread-and-butter style video format where he goes into detail about one of the Crafting Skills most popular money-making method in RuneScape 3. There's a lot of unique elements she utilizes that many people have forgotten but the highlights are her drinking scenes, pet interactions (I love the bear and the first big cat) and just the aesthetic style of clothing the Fremennik wear. Trye RS, posts a variety of guides and money makers but this new one is a game changer especially if you're aiming for the Completionist Cape. In this video, he showcases a new speed running method that makes it possible to do exactly what he explains in the title. Normally a very stressful achievement but this new tech that he cooks up is an amazing shortcut that really makes the achievement a lot more reasonable. Make sure you do this quickly before the method gets patched!

In the current era of the game, he has transitioned from his completionist content to providing feedback videos about the latest content being released. Contrasting to his normal videos is this video about the upcoming update for next week which he has been advocating for over the past year. I'm not going to leak what the video is about, but I think it is a very valuable topic and I am happy that Chevalric has had such a positive impact that has resulted in massive improvements for the RuneScape community.

Considered as one of the easier tier bosses, this trio requires understanding of prayer switching affectively. In this long 10-hour grind, where he showcases his boss drops every step, we find out the bosses aren't the tough part of the challenge it's something else completely.

Import RS3 Models into Blender

One of the coolest videos of the month is by PupRS and it’s been a hidden secret for most of the normal content creators for a long time. However, if you've seen any OSRS content, you've seen this type of content for a long time which is Custom AvataLocation placement that they use in their Thumbnails. In this excellent tutorial video, he showcases the viewers on how to import your avatar into a 3d modeling program along with a location you have in mind. Using that information, he then showcases the initial process on how to play with some of the cool features to get some awesome looking imagery/poses.

RuneScape has gone through many iterations but one of the oldest communities that has existed for almost 20 years is this community known as RuneScape Bits & Bytes. They go by RSBandB on YouTube and have a variety of different social media profiles. Currently their most well recognized piece of content is their Podcast/Video which reviews the weekly updates which they have been doing for almost 1,000 episodes at this point. I highly recommend watching or listening to this podcast where they go detail by detail over every single thing that happens in RuneScape with a variety of guests. This selected video is pre-roadmap reveal where the hosts review the massive Rellakka’s rework, Calendar updates and a multitude of other items that were surprise releases.

Relearning Runescape – Ironman Series Episode 1

Braygs is one of RuneScape 3’s newest active YouTube Content Creator and has started a new ironman to explore the all the new content RuneScape has released over the last several years since he had achieved most of the big feats on his main account a long time ago. The background music, his great narration and storytelling mixed with increasingly better- and better-quality episodes makes this a series I highly recommend to watch. I’ve only recommended episode 1 but man has he improved already massively by Episode 4 in all aspects of video making.

A few months old, this video should've been in my January List if I made one but ME BIGGER is someone you want to watch for PvP Content. His skills for PvP are awesome but honestly his edits and music selection carry the video even harder. In a story telling format where he describes the action in his description as if it’s a play, he informs the viewer of the major scenes. A unique watch and something way different than what most people will expect.

There are only a few Hardcore Ironman’s present day that elevate what the end game of bossing is and Menoe is one of them. This episode that I have shared is the beginning of the end for his account where his goal is to achieve the max streak for the Arch-Glacor. His first 10 episodes showed all the ridiculous grinds and upgrades that he had to unlock to make this even remotely possible and provides great edits showcasing the functionality of these unlocks. This video showcases the start of his long streaking fight against this powerful foe. Will he win or die? Watch the series to see if he succeeds or not, it’s definitely a thrill seeing him skirt death over and over.

So, one of my favorite videos of this year is from a Creator named TigerFang. If you're one of the top HiScores player, you might've heard of him, but I personally am a massive fan of his video format content. I would consider this video as one of the best videos released of this year as of yet. Yes, the title is quite crazy and impressive, but the more impressive component of this video is the raw data and statistical analysis he does for the Tetra Compass/Ancient Casket content. I recommend just watching the video since it’s just that good.

Guys I want a laptop for video editing. Mostly basic video editing using adobe premiere, making videos for YouTube, instagram, facebook, and TikTok. Needs decent storage space for footage and to be able to edit smoothly in premiere and maybe have old school RuneScape running at the same time :P that’s all I ask. The cheaper cost wise the better but will consider anything. Thank you!

So a few years back I used to play on a HCIM. Most nights while playing the account I would have dreams about dying and wake up sweating. Since dying on the account and not playing a HC just a GIM I have hardly had any RuneScape dreams.
I've been wanting to start a UIM for the longest time but recently been thinking that I might have dreams of wiping.
Is this common for you guys? Or do I just need to touch grass more?
